Speaker 1 (00:00):
On your Mark, get ready, start broadcasting from California and Delaware.

(00:32):
This is the hard rocking Trivia Show.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
And here are your host Mark and Danny.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
All Right, boys and girls, it's time for rapid Fire.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I don't even know what show we're up to now,
like four hundred and eighty five, five thousand and six.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Something like that. All right, people, podcast Land, we're playing
some rapid fires where Dan and I fire three trivia
questions at each other and try to stump the other guy.

(01:08):
And you people home or in your car or parents'
basement wherever you are, play along see if you can
go six for six. Danny and I are trying to
go for three for three, which has not happened in
over a decade, but we probably not.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
We we're not giving any softballs either way now.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I think minor. I think one of them is easy.
The rest of them. You might get two out of three,
you might get one, but you're not going zero for
three this week. I'd be very surprised if you did.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I think one of mine. I've asked before, but I
don't remember for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, that's because we're old and we do this from
time to time. I think i've asked this. I don't know,
doesn't matter, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Plus, we do three questions every show, and we're up
to almost three hundred shows, so that's nine hundred questions. Yeah,
we're going to repeat some somewhere.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, because of break people. Okay. Now, when the questions
get stupid, like namely four Beatles, then it's time to
hang it up. Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
The the lead singer of the Rolling Stones is hey
Ann Wilson. Yeah, it's time to hang it up. That's right, okay.
Question one for you. The band Da D also known
as Disneyland After Dark, released their first album in nineteen

(02:29):
eighty six and they've been around ever since. Can you
tell me how many original members of Da D are
still in the band.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I'm gonna say three, that is correct.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yes, the Benzer Brothers, correct, that's the only one who changed,
The Benzer Brothers. And the bass player, the two string
bass player, Stick Peterson.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yep, he play. He plays all kinds of basses, summer too.
I've seen him play a one string ones, a rocket ship.
There was one that was backwards where the actual pickups
are on what looks like the headstock.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
They're crazy, Yeah, definitely entertaining to watch. I have not
seen Dad live or want to someday.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, that's one of the bands.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I'd really like to see them Eclipse, which I'm going
to soon. Gothard, I'd love to see them. I really
like to see Harum Scarem if they are are even
a thing anymore.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, they're playing in Europe. They have a small mini
Europe tour and I mean they're in Canaday. Come on, guys,
come to the whiskey. Come come to where Danny is
playing on us shows.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I guess the TLA and Philly.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah, I just don't think there's a draw form, so
they don't bother us. So they figure there's some kind
of draw room in like Italy and England, so they
play there. But there they got a new album coming out.
They think they released a new video one or two already.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Okay, I got that one right then, Yes you did, No,
you have one for one for one?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yes, they gonna ask me a question.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Okay, So last show we talked about Anvil and Raven
kind of being very similar. This question is about Raven. Uh,
they just have a new album come out and how
many studio albums does that make?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Having been released for Raven.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Does that count EPs? No, because the new album is
an EP, so that one isn't.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Well I'm counting that. I'm counting this one.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
But oh so this is gonna be totally incorrect because
they do have the mad EP and all this other
stuff and so so there goes your question.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Just give me, just give me a give me a
number this close, dammit.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Okay, I'm gonna say this twenty two.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
No, it is sixteen, Okay, would probably if you threw
in the EPs.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Maybe, I don't know. I think they would have three EPs.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Two or three. And you can't live albums too, because
I know they have a couple of those. No, so
it was close but incorrect.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Yep, you were wrong, but close?

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Okay? Fine?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
YEA live at the Inferno is awesome, man, so freaking good.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yep. Still good band too, Yep, and I got to
see them me too. Question two for you. It's funny
that you brought up Gothic because they're part of this Questionna,
I'm gonna give you three bands. You gotta tell me
which one was founded first. Here are the bands, all
European Gothard hardcore Superstar or Treat. Which one was founded first.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I'm gonna say treat.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
That would be correct, yes, And just for fun, what
do you think what year do you think they were founded?

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I'm gonna say eighty nine.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Eighty one? What eighty one? So they were a band
for a few years, and I think their first album
came out eighty five eighty six. Okay, And between Gothard
and Hardcore Superstar, which one comes next? Founded?

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I'm gonna say Hardcore Superstar.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Nope, Really Hardcore Superstar was nineteen ninety seven. Gothared nineteen
ninety two. Wow, I thought, Yeah, And they have a
new album coming out I think within weeks. Nice, So
we got lots of new music to look forward to here,
So that's good.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Sweat and Sweet that new Eclipse is really good.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Yeah, and Sweet and effectively you said sweet Sweet had
a new album come out what with one original member?
But yeah, I didn't listen to it. I just can't. Yeah, Sorry,
it's really I.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Don't know if I'm I don't know if I'm I'm
gonna listen to that one. Maybe.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, there's there's so much to listen to it.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yeah, all right, question number two for you, I'm two
and oh you're on one. So let's see if you
can redeem yourself better.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
All right.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
The first M three show was in two thousand and
nine and was only one day. Uh huh, So who
is the main stage headliner? Because they had both stages going,
but it was all in one day.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Who's the headliner for M three and their first one? God?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Oh you love this band?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Do?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Why?

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
You do?

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Wow? Hummm? Since I really don't know, I'm gonna say kicks.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Ah No, they they did play band, but it was
Twisted Sister.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Really they are the first one.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Wow, first headliners.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
It's funny. I thought of them. I think now they
we saw them later. I didn't realize they headlined the
first M three. I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Okay, there was also Rat, and I think Rat played
right before Twister and Sister. I had a whole thing
set up, Extreme Kicks.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
It was a great lineup, and I thought of Rat too.
And you know what's going on with Rat now? It's Rat,
de Martini and Pierce. He are going out together with
Carlos Cavasso on guitar, Los Elias from Slaughter on drums,
and the guy from Rough Cut on bass and his
name escapes me out. Matt Matt Thorn, Yeah, from Burbank, California. Nice,

(08:46):
So yeah, that should be kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
All right, I bet that'll be a good band. We'll
see how well Steven's singing.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
But he seems to be getting doing better now, so
I think he's cleaned his life up.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
So all right, okay, Well you're two and oh and
I'm I'm two and oh. You're zero for two, so
I won this. You're already one, Well, already, we'll go
through with the third question.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
All right, question three for you? All right, this legendary
singer sang backing vocals on these three songs, Night Rangers,
Rock and America, Motley Cruz Misunderstood the Carabbe album, and
he sang background vocals on Lynch Mob's second album featuring
Robert Mason. Who is this legendary singer? And you said

(09:35):
it's a he it's a hem.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
I'm gonna say Timothy B. Schmidt, Ah.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Ooh incorrect, dang it, Glynn Hughes, Oh really okay? And
the Misunderstood You can kind of hear him that song.
I don't know if you remember it from the Motley Crue.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Yeah, I don't remember particularly hearing him or not.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
But if I told you that and you listen to
the song game Go, I can hear him. But obviously
rock in America you can't hear Glenn Hughes. There's a
lot of voices going on there, but yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Want to it's kind of a gang vocal there.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Right, I mean when Glenn Hughes and like Jeff Scott
Soto sing backing vocals on so many records, I mean
they just you're in town, Okay, call that guy over there. Yeah, unbelievable,
nice paycheck. Or sometimes they just do it first as favors.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
You know who knows?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I would, yeah, if I had those pipes. All right,
So this third question I think I might have asked before,
but it's been a while.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
So who played drums for Tribe of Judah?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Was it? Mike Mangini? Yes, it was the only question
I got, right.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Yeah, Well you figured Tribe Judah was basically extreme without.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Nuno, right, and it was weird too, Yeah, it.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Was more industrial. I've let's do a couple of times.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Thought okay, Yeah, I think I'm more of a fan
of Nuno.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Yeah, and I like Airschrod too, but that was way
out of the box there.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yeah, yeah, and if you compare that to nuno solo stuff,
it's no.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Comparison, right, But yeah, I mean, if you're a fan,
you have all that stuff. I don't even have Nuno's
stuff anymore. I know he did something with Harry Farrell
was weird, but I never really got it.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Satellite something, Satellite party, wouldn't it satellite party?

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I think that might have been.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Yeah, I don't remember it being that out interesting.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
So yeah, and then he played, he toured behind some
like R and b artists.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Rihanna.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Yeah, and he's a nice paycheck, oh yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Plus you're you're watching her wiggle around all night.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yeah, hey, we know you gotta you gotta, you gotta
feed the family.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
I guess you know, yeah, you might as well.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I mean, these guys are lucky enough to make a
living in this and it's even harder now for up
and coming musicians to make a living at music. It's hard,
all right.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Well, we went four for six. It's not too bad.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
You did great. I sucked, but on that. No, let's
go to a commercial break and we be back with
something else entertaining what it is a human number? It's
number is six.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
All right, welcome back, everybody. We're gonna do a bit
we call six and thirty where we put together six
bits of five seconds apiece and we have to come
up with the name of the artist. And five seconds
is not a long time, but sometimes it's easy, sometimes
it's hard. But Mark, I think I got a pretty

(13:05):
difficult one for you this time.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Oh terrific. Great, yeah, nice.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
I think you're probably gonna get two, maybe three, okay,
but we'll see how you do. And this we do
have a theme for these. This theme that we have
this time is for you. These are all songs with
spring in the title. Because when I put this together
earlier today, it's like seventy degrees here. It's beautiful, low humidity.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Nice, So it's nice. I was hoping it would be
like thirty degrees here, so when you came out here
you would just be totally shocked by how Yeah, it's
probably in the eighties or seventies and eighties here, so nice.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Okay, No, we've had today was the first nice day
of the year. It's been freaking freezing up until up
until now, so okay, so that put me in the
frame of mine of spring. So these are all songs
with spring the title.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
All right, so you people out there listen along and
see how well you do. I got my pen and
paper ready, so let's go ahead and play this.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Well, did the spring betted the trees.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Spray spring sum out there?

Speaker 1 (14:40):
That's well we Wow? I might go for six on
this one.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
I know the first song is horrible. I listened to
it and I'm like, oh Jesus, this is bad.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
But wow, I've already lost this whole bit already. So yeah,
I could think of one. So I'm gonna have to
play this again.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
And maybe I thought you'd get three.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Probably, No, I didn't know anything. My brain is on
I don't know what the hell's going on with me. Okay,
let's try this again. Here, take two.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Brain's on oatmeal.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, all right, well the spring bet there.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Spring time out there?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
That's well we park.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Good God, I'm gonna suck at this one. These are
all gonna be guesses. All six are complete guesses.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Complete guesses. Okay, bring it on.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Number one, Jethro Tall, Oh, that's not too bad of
a guest.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
I think. Well, they're English from mostly from the sixties. No,
that's the Kinks.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Okay, what's the name of that song.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Called Where Did the Spring Go? And it's horrible?

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Okay. Number two, remind me what type of music was,
because I didn't even have a guess on that one.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Oh man, this is one of your favorite bands from
a soundtrack cheap Trick? Yes, yes, way to go. So
you're one for two.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
That might be the only one I get. Three, I
wrote Cinderella.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
No, that is a band that you sent me called
Dynasty or Dynasty with a Z.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Yeah. I know who they are, but I honestly yeah,
probably didn't listen to them, but I know who they are.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Yeah, so not bad. I still a couple of other
songs on there when I was doing this bit. Not bad.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Yeah, you can find a lot of their concerts on YouTube.
They're easily accessible. Yeah, I know the dude. They're probably
like Eclipse over there and eure Rope here. Nobody's heard
of them, all right. Number four Danger Danger.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
No, No, this is a more recent band called Hammerfall.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I like Hammerfall too, damn it.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yeah, well there you go.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
That was a Hope Springs Eternal.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah you wow, that was a read. Okay. Number five
I'm going to say that is.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
It's the Dave Girl side project.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Number five is a Dave Girl side project. Yes, oh
it's like them Damn Crows or something like that. No,
what is it?

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Not even close?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
It's probot heard of it, never listened to it. Shit,
you really you really screwed me on this one.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Geez well, the next one you should get by the vocals.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
It sounded so damn familiar. Yeah, I wrote down Rooney,
but I know that's wrong.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
That was Smashing Pumpkins a damn it.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
I should have gotten You know what's funny you say that?
Damn it. I do kind of like Smashing Pumpkins a
little bit. Billy Corrigan has a new show that he
a new interview show and it's really good.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I watched the one with with Wolf of van Halen.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yeah, I watched that one. He's done about he's done
about four of them, and he's a very good interviewer.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, he knows, he knows the history. So it's it's good.
You know he's he's not saying so you want to
talk about your new album? No, No, none of that crap.
It's all like insider stuff like what he's like, he
knows he he just knows all the stuff.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
I know from he interviewed Tom Morello. It's mostly musicians
he's interviewing and it's really interesting. Yeah, he's got a
good he's all. He was on Rogan too, and he's
very interesting on that. Seems like a good dude, which
is you know, he also owns a wrestling company. Really,
he's into wrestling and he loves like the eighties and
seventies hard rock bands that we like, so he's a

(19:21):
fan of that stuff. Yeah, and he's like six foot six,
six foot five, is a huge guy.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
I saw him on a solo tour at the Grand
in Wilmington. Oh really okay, Yeah, he made every nobody
could go in when he was doing sound check, but
I was listening to him from outside the doors, and
then I watched most of the show afterwards, and he
is he's a big dude.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Did you hear about the controversy with him and Bill Burr?
You know Bill Burr is right, the comedian. Yeah, well
there's a weird thing going on with them. Howie Mandel
had Burr on his show and he's talking to him
on this podcast and he brings out Billy Corgankay. Turns

(20:08):
out these two have never met each other, but they're
half brothers. They have the same they have the same dad,
and apparently the dad of both of these guys was
a traveling musician and he had multiple families. And these
guys had never met each other, but they're half brothers,
did they They kind of suspected it, but how he

(20:32):
brought them out together and they were both pissed because
he kind of threw it on him without telling them.
He just brought them on because Billy kind of said, yeah,
his mom told him, like Bill Burr might be your brother.
He's like really, so they they've heard it, but they
never met each other, and it was kind of a
it's a really awkward interview because how he leaves and

(20:55):
these guys are talking to each other and like, oh, well, dad,
I can actually kind of see the resemblance. Actually yeah,
oh yeah, because yeah, why when they're sitting there talking, yeah,
look that one up. It's really cringe worthy because you know,
they didn't want to meet on camera during these circumstances like.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Oh, yeah, I know you're half brothers, right.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
And go yeah, And apparently because Bill Burr said, yeah,
my dad played these instruments, and then Billy Corgan says, yeah,
Dad was a guitar player, and Bill Burke goes he
played guitar, and goes, yeah, he played guitars. Dad was
kind of a scuzzball with two families, and he named
both of them Bill William will I don't know if

(21:42):
it's after himself, but it's weird that you named two
sons and they're close in age, kind of sort of
name both of them William, What the hell's that all about? So, yeah,
they're biological brothers who who had never met, didn't even
know about each other from a long time.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Weird, that's yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
So go look those clips up on how A Mandel's show.
He put all that together because I think Billy Corgan
mentioned it on his show once and then Bill how
He said, okay, then when it's how he had Bill
Burr on the show, and then he brought both of
them to get it because that that cork Billy Corgan
show he's done. He does those in Howie Mandel's studios.
That's where that whole thing. Oh okay, so that's all

(22:26):
that whole thing happened. Yeah, crazy, huh. Sorry, got off
on a tangent there.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah, a little bit, but that's cool. Yeah, so wow,
I'm gonna have to look that up.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
I don't know though. I when something's really cringey like that,
I I get really uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
It's worth while.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Even though I'm just sitting there watching it by myself,
I'm like.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Oh damn.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Yeah, I was going to sleep and watching it and
it kept me up because, oh my god, really what
I got to say it? Because I think Bill Burr
is super funny.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Oh yeah, he's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
So the fact that he was dealing with that on
camera and he was pissed at Howie. So it's interesting
because they're sitting there by themselves first, and then they
brought in the guy who got Billy Something, the guy
who interviewed Trump off Ken Trump said they all grab
him by the p and all that. So that guy
who was canceled comes on and moderates between those two.

(23:19):
So it's a whole thing. It's like, oh my god,
what the heck is going on? It was nuts anyway, anyway,
on the bus with Trump, yeah, I was off. They
were just having a conversation and Billy Something his name
is Billy I think too, and he got Billy Bush.
Billy Bush. No, he's not a brother either, So he
just came on just to kind of moderate things because

(23:39):
Howie didn't want to come back in the room because
he they were pissed at Howie. Well, Bill Burr was
pissed at Howie, like I don't want to meet this way,
you know.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
By the end of that, how he is sitting at home.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah, but anyway, I got one out of six, six
and thirty. All right, so yours changing thing? You're All
of these songs are bonus tracks from famous bands that
you know and love, so so some of them are
gonna be easier right away. Others are gonna be tough.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
So you didn't pull out a probot or hammerfall on me.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
No, all all of these bands are big bands that
you've known and probably have seen. I would imagine you've
probably seen all of them, all right, and it's just
a bonus track.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Bonus track.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Okay, So these aren't like the main songs off the album, just.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
The stuff like one of them is a Japanese and
the other one is just says bonus track.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Okay, all right, let's let's take a look.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
You love me as low as you won't you?

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Okay, Okay, I think you're gonna get at least three
of them.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I think I got four wow already?

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Huh?

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Maybe two of them? I don't know, man, the first one?
You kidding that like Clint Black.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Or it's a it's a big band.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Big band.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
Okay, let's let's listen again.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
You love me as.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
Low as you won't you.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Look around the.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Great trade, come and get a six street started time.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
And I'm already I'm gonna concede this. Danny's already beat me,
but we're gonna go through it anyway. Track one, what.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Is cracked one? God, I have no clue. A big band,
pretty big band.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yeah, everybody in the planet's heard of.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Them, okay, geez, oh wow wow.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
And the lead singers not singing this song. It's a
different Yeah, that's that's the that's the thing. But there's
at least two of these songs where the lead singers
not singing the lead and this is one of them.
I just think of a huge band that play it
plays minimum arenas, minimum arenas and some some country stadiums.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
See, I'm thinking it can't be a CD or Iron
Maiden of Giants.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Think like bon Jovi. Correct, what.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Who's singing?

Speaker 1 (27:10):
It Tico the drummer.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
You're kidding.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yep, I can't believe you got that one right, bon
Jovi crazy, it's it's a bonus track off of These
Days album from the nineties and singing it.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Maybe Richie might have been singing.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
It, but wow, I think all right. Track two should
be easy.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
All Right, Track two, that's definitely John Carabbi with the crew.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Yep. Correct.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
The next one, I think that's Rob Halford singing, but
he sang on a skid Row song, So I'm thinking
they because they were huge, they had that a cover
album where each person in the band picked a song
to do and the drummer picked rush and but anyway,
I think it's skid Roll.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
I correct, it is skid Row, but that is Johnny
Sollingers singing. Really, you're thinking of this the b sides
your album when that they did Delivering the Goods when
it was Sebastian and Rob singing together. But yeah, that's
United off of a United World Rebellion from twenty thirteen.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Sound that sounds like Rob Alford a lot.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, it's a pretty damn good cover, so you're three
for three. Track four is probably the easiest one.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah, that was poison.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Yeah, sure, living for the minute off of Open Up
and say ah that bonus track four for four on.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
The next one, I I think it's is an early rush.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Nope, incorrect, damn. This is a bonus instrumental track off
of the in Color album.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
It's cheap track.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Correct. It's called oh Boy that it's a cool. It's
a cool and you could you could see if they
just threw some lyrics over it, it'd be really cool.
But by it if it's good. It's called oh Boy,
oh boy, oh boy. Yeah. And when I saw oh Boy,
originally I thought it was the Buddy Hawley track, but nope,

(29:10):
yeah it's not. And number six, which I think is
the hardest one.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Really, I know that songs Big yeah, correct?

Speaker 1 (29:19):
So who's singing that?

Speaker 2 (29:21):
I don't know. I just know it was a mister
Big song.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Wow, I heard it. I fget I didn't think. I
didn't think you knew that one. So okay, well you
obviously know it's not Eric, So you only got three
more choices. Who was singing it?

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Uh? Well no, because mister Big had a couple of
guitar players.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Okay, coach, so there's got four choices.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Now, Uh, is it Billy singing?

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Nope, it's Paul Gilbert. Okay, yeah, because I would have
thought it was. Initially I thought it was the drummer
Pat Torpi, who could sing his ass off too. But
now it's Paul Gilbert. I didn't think. I didn't think
you knew that song. It's a bonus track off of Big, Bigger,
Biggest from nineteen ninety six.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Yeah. I listened to that album a lot, just because
I'd like mister big and you know, being the greatest
hits album.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
I like it. Wow, So you got five out of six.
You did better than I didn't know. Five out of
six you only missed cheap Trick.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Well that's crazy much of a I mean cheap trick
song from in Color.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
So that's what.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Seventy seventy seven, Yeah, something like that. Sure, yours are
super super hard.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
So yeah, I will admit mine was super hard.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
You definitely won that one. So six and thirty goes
to Danny. So all right on to the next bit.
And the next bit is cover this.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Now it's time to cover this.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
Boys and girls are playing over this where you had.
We're gonna play like twenty five to thirty seconds of
a cover song. You gotta give us the original artist
and the covering artist this week, Danny, I have a
man if you get the name of the song, too good.
I got one that I've never heard before in my life,
and when I tracked it down, I was shocked. In fact,

(31:20):
I had to go on YouTube, download it and then
change it from an MP four to an MP three
just to get this here and cut it. So it
was a whole process just for this one song. I'd
never heard this before, and that was shocked.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
So if I if I get it right off the bat,
you're gonna be pissed.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
I don't believe you, but I'll be disappointed, Bess, I'll
be disappointed.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
So all right, well let's give this a listen.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Then, okay like it? Yeah, all right? Have you ever

(32:17):
heard that before in your life?

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Never? Ever? Have I heard that song? The King Kong Song.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
That is the name of the song, correct, the King
Kong Song. I also had never heard this song in
my life. Nope, But it's on a tribute album. A
tribute album. This is a song off of a tribute album.
So the original artist has a tribute album.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
So a bunch of artists doing songs from this one album.
That's a tribute to that artist.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Correct, And it's a huge It's a huge artist too.
It's a band that everybody on the planet has heard of.
But I'd never heard the King Kong song in my life.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
You said that about bon Jovi too, so I don't
think the King Kong song is the bon Jovi song.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Oh, I can tell you this band is bigger than
bon Jovi. What mm hmm any any who's the I
think the band playing this song, they're definitely it's in
their style and it sounds like them if you're familiar
with the band cut between the cover.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I have no idea either band.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Okay, I can tell you. Here's another hint. Both bands
are from the same country. That don't That probably doesn't
help you. The original song is from nineteen seventy four.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
All right? Is that? Oh? Shoot, the band did locomotion?

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Uh Cramp was the name of that band. Does it
have a railroad in it?

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah, Grand Funk Railroad incorrect? Is either one of the
Grand Funk Railroad Nope? King Kong song, Black Oak Arkansas incorrect.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
You're gonna be shocked. Okay, here's another hint. That will
give away the original artist. The album came out in
nineteen seventy four. The name of the album was called Waterloo.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Oh, come on, it's not Abba.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Correct? What originally recorded by Abba? The King Kong song
on the Waterloo album nineteen seventy four, I'm looking at
I looked it up too, Okay, So now you know
where the band is from from on the Waterloo album. Okay,

(34:37):
all right, and I told you the band covering it's
also from the same country as Abba.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
So the Swedish band.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
This tribute album came out in nineteen ninety two, and.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
This is kind of a is it Eclipse No before Eclipse, Nope,
before Eclipse.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
They have a lot in common with Extreme in terms
of style. Sweet wow, okay, sweetish. They had one hit
on the MTV era. They put on a couple albums,
broke up, came back like fifteen years later, and they're
still around. Their big hit was all lips and hips.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Oh oh crap lips Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Electric Boys correct, Electric Boys. They had that whole funk
metal thing happening. Yeah, they're really cool. If you like Extreme,
listen to the Electric Boys, very similar. They got that
whole thing happening and and the later Electric Boy albums
are very good. And in fact, two of the members

(35:48):
of the Electric Boys were also in Hanoi Rocks, including
the lead singers. So when Hanoi Rocks went through that
period where they came back for a while Electric Boys,
two or three of the guystor Boys were in Hanoi
Rocks for a while, and then Hanoi Rocks stopped and
then Electric Boys came back.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
So it's not Michael Munroe and Electric Boys.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
No, okay, no, I didn't, yeah, because the actually the
lead singer in Electric Poise was in Hanoi Rocks, but
he didn't sing any lead because Michael Monroe was there,
so so for a while. Interesting, huh. I'd never heard that, myye,
but King Kok song on and it's kind of the
heavy Abba song too, so maybe that's why they metallized
it and funked it up a bit. Stupid song.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
I'm gonna have to get Dana to listen to that
because she she likes Abba a lot.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
So it's on the water I'm sure if you go
to Spotify and find the Waterloo album, King Kok song
and that Electric Poys cover is very hard to find.
I just maybe was shocking was yours is gonna be
weird as weird as mine.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
No, No, it's pretty straightforward, I think. Okay, all right, yeah,
that's you'll you'll just have to hear it. It's you know,
both bands.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Okay, very well, all right, so let me get this here.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
The song sounds like the he didn't go very far
away from the original, the or the covering band didn't
go far.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
From the original. Okay, let's play this and see if
I get any chance in heck of getting it. Here
we go.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
All right, you think you're smart, inventive.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Be good on my shape drives a handy substitute when
you've got to leave a shirt to all my trees.
I'm realized while you were in the spoos.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
While you spenting gs watching GD, I've watched My Fortune Girl.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
I've never in my life heard that sounds like it's
Ronnie games Deal singing. Is that right? That is that
is correct? So I got that, But so I don't
know the song at all. I've never heard that in
my life.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
So I've heard it a couple of times.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I've I don't remember running James Deal doing a lot
of covers, So this is weird.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
He had he had an entire album of of cover songs,
and it's it's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Really, I don't think. I don't think I have that. Oh,
let me so, is this is this song like a
sixty song, seventies song?

Speaker 4 (38:35):
No?

Speaker 2 (38:35):
This is uh, probably from the eighties. I'm gonna guess.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
It's an eighties song that running James Deal's covering. Is
it a big band?

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Let me look, Yeah, it's a big band. Well you've
seen him, I've seen him. Uh, it's an album of
rarities from from the Oh.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Okay, that doesn't sound familiar at all. I have sad?
Is it sabotage?

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Nope?

Speaker 1 (39:08):
All right, that's my was it? How about? Was it
Queen's Reich?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
Yes, it's that's a Queen's reg song. It's called the
Chase from Operation Mind Crime two.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Oh so is that's not a cover though? That's right,
he's on the album. He's not covering the song.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
No, he's this is on a doo song?

Speaker 1 (39:30):
This is He's not on the Queen's right, he's on
that album. He's on he's on that album. He's on
the album Operation Mind Crime two. Deo sings on that album.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
All right, Well, anyway.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
So that is not a cover stir well, so okay,
So because it's a James Deal album that I got
it off of, right, which is from the Queen's k
it's that terrible, awful Operation Mind Crime two album, which
they tried because Operation Mine Crime is a brilliant album.

(40:04):
And then they tried to follow out and.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
I guess they tried to catch Lightning in a bottle twice,
which was not gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
And it's horrible, absolutely awful. Yeah, Ronnie James Dio is
playing some of the characters in that story. Yeah, it
didn't work. In fact, I think there's only one song
and then I might like it's called I'm American and
that album and everything else. I couldn't tell you. It
was so bad. That's when Queen's Reich started to so

(40:33):
slowly descend. And then they had the internal problems and
they saying, no, Jeff is spitting on his drummer and
he kicked out of the bands.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
That was the whole thing, man, Oh yeah, drama there
spits on me and a gig. The gig is over
and you're gonna be bleeding. I might be bleeding too,
but you are gonna My bass is gonna hit you
somewhere you will not let enjoy.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Yeah, there's a reason why spitting is called is an assault.
It's it's pretty nasty. I've seen I've seen one guy
do it in a pickup basketball game and it turned
out an all out brawl. It's one guy spin on
the other guy and it was all hell broke loose.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Yeah, it's disrespectful. It's really like, yeah, yeah, but it
And and Danny and I were talking before the show
and I told him about did you hear what happened
on the eighties cruise with Faster pussy Cat? And he goes,
didn't hear it? So I'm gonna tell him live all
the show. So basically, they had this eighties cruise and

(41:33):
it's it's a week before the Monsters are rock cruise
and they they go around to the same places. I
don't know if it's the same boat, but it's in
that same it's down in Florida and they go all
these places. The rock bands that played the eighties cruisers Warrant, Firehouse,
Faster pussy Cat, Honeymoon Sweet, those are the rock bands.

(41:54):
But other bands are playing, like adam Ant was playing,
and Naked Eyes and Tiffany. So it's it's a lot
of different kinds of artists, information society, whoever they are.
So it's that kind of gig, so a lot of
old people going and checking out these people so faster
pussycats on there. And uh, I'm surprised you didn't hear this,

(42:15):
but I guess Tamy and his girlfriend. Tamy's been sober
for five six years or even more than that because
it was killing him. So he's sober, and he's had
this girlfriend, I guess for eight years, and I guess
she's not sober yet. And I guess they had an
argument on the cruise. And after Timony's girlfriend had an

(42:37):
argument on the cruise, they'd already played one set, had
an argument and she was so pissed she jumped overboard
what and killed herself in front of him, the band
and all the people were there. She just jumped overboard.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
So, yeah, geez, I did not hear that. There is
video of it, which can obviously not gonna release, and
I really want to see that. But yeah, it happened.
And then you know, because they had to do an
investigation and there's video, so and Tamy's cleared. He didn't
do anything wrong. She just lost it and killed herself.

(43:18):
Crazy huh wow. So yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Mean so I guess it delayed their second set.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
They obviously did. They didn't play after that. I mean,
who wouldn't wouldn't want them to. I mean, come on,
nobody saw that coming. But yeah, you know, who knows
why she did it. You never know what makes people
do things like that. But yeah, pretty sad that. I mean,

(43:47):
she did it, and yeah she lost her life. That's sad.
But all the people who saw it or had a
relationship with her, they have to go through all that too.
I think everybody's gonna have a lot of therapy after that.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
Oh absolutely, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
I'm surprised you didn't hear about that.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
Noe.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Yeah, that came out right away because I'm because I'm
following what's going on these cruises, so, you know, because
Danny Danny have I always wanted to go on the
Monster's Rock Cruise someday, so on this is eighties cruises
alike that. There's a bunch of others too. They have
ones in Europe, but one of these days we figured
we'd do it. But yeah, when you people don't realize
how big those cruise ships are. I've never been on one,

(44:28):
but they're humongous. You're not gonna just jump and land
in the water and be okay. That It's almost like
if you're jumping like what like twenty stories up and
you're hitting the water. If you don't hit perfect, you're
gonna be knocked out and dead. It's like hitting concrete.
It's it's not. Yeah. People think, oh, you're going in water,
you're gonna be fine, like you're jumping off the diving board.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
No, no, it looks like hitting the sidewalk because water
doesn't give that fast.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
Yeah. Why do you think people die when they jump
off these bridges? Hello, Yeah, you're not gonna be You
gotta be a perfect pencil sheep and get your toes
in and those are extended. Yeah, but maybe you have
a chance there maybe, But off a ship, no, you're done.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
No, those things are.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
We We were down in Miami the beginning of February
and we drove by the port one time and there
were five cruise ships lined up there.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
Those are so freaking big.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
You know, Dana and I, you know, a lot of
our friends have said, come on a cruise with us,
Come on and you don't even feel it. And I
can get I get it that they're so big you
don't feel it because you know, you'd have to have major,
major waves to move those things.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
Yeah, but that's the only thing. That's the only thing
that would scare me, that I would get seasick.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
But when when you're seasick, nothing else matters. Everything sucks.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
Yeah, it's happened to me once. I was on a
little fishing boat that held like maybe there was take
ten of us and we were going from you know,
California to off of the coast of Catalina Island. And
it was a little stormy that day, up and down,
up and down, and the only guys who didn't get
sick were the ones drinking beer. They were fine. The

(46:15):
rest of us, like, I don't drink beer. Oh, I
thought I was gonna die. Yeah, And they said the
worst thing you do is lay down and just curl
up in a ball and just take it. And that's
what I did. It was awful, like I was gonna
have a great day out there fishing off the coat
and oh it's terrible. I don't even want to know
that again. The last time I was on a boat.

(46:36):
So yeah, I get a.

Speaker 2 (46:38):
Little You said that one of the bands that was
Information Society. Yeah, and I remember I looked up the song.
It's called What's on Your Mind? Pure Energy? Is that
one where doc mister Spock? They sampled mister Spock's voice.
But let me play the audio sample of it and
see if we were see if we recognize it.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
Okay, never heard that in my life. Oh, come on,
I don't think I know that song. Maybe not whenever
where you were, but I don't know that song at all.

Speaker 2 (47:18):
I was released in eighty eight. Yeah, total dance song,
huge on MTV.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
You know why I don't know that song because in
nineteen eighty eight I was in Korea, So anything that
was happening on MTV I didn't know about, or whatever's
on the radio, not a clue. So yeah, that one year.
I knew the rock stuff because I read about it
and bought it in like the PX or whatever. But
anything that was played on the radio, they didn't play

(47:45):
that stuff on AFN in Korea. So yeah, that one
escaped me. So eighty eight you were probably college, right.

Speaker 3 (47:53):
I graduated in eighty eight.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
It came out in the in the fall, No, in
April of eighty eight, so I was graduating from college.

Speaker 3 (48:01):
But yeah, I was a big hit.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
Okay, so like never heard it in my life.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
Yeah, so in twenty five weeks on the Billboard Hot
one hundred. But anyway, who cares? This isn't about information society?

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Yeah, you brought it up.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
You brought it up. So they were on the eighties.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
Scode Okay, well, okay, well my fault. I'm sorry fans
out there, I brought it up, and I'm sorry I
tortured you with a sample of the information society, which
we'll probably get demounetized. But who cares what We're not
making any real money off of this anyway.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
But hey, well I had some feedback from our last show.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
Okay from who?

Speaker 2 (48:43):
From my eldest daughter. Okay, she wanted to tell me
that I was completely wrong about my opinion on Oasis
going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
Ooh so she's a pro Oasis fan, right apparently? Well, yeah,
if you like the beat they're big Beatles influence. I
guess she's a big Beatles fan, So I get why
she likes.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Always she's a huge Beatles fan, and I maybe Oasis
just after my time or not in the Yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
They had a couple of They had one album that
was really good and it made a splash here, Yeah,
what's the Story Morning Glory? And that is a great album.
But just to show you how big they are, they're
playing two nights at the Rose Bowl. That's ninety two
thousand per night and it's sold out same day.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
Well, they also got all the drama around the band.
You know, Oh the brothers going to be are they
going to be even talking? How are they touring? You know,
they got all that drama going on around it, so
people want to be part of it.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Well, black Crows had the same drama. Yeah, black Crows
aren't playing the Rose Bowl, and arguably Black Crows might
be a better band too. I don't dislike you.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
And needs to call you and tell you all about it.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
Oh I like Oasis, I'm not I'm not a hardcore
and I have all their albums.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
I don't think you voted for him though, did you?

Speaker 1 (50:12):
I don't think I did. I think it was a
little too early, but I could see they should be
in something. They made a huge impact, especially in Europe,
but they were They played it, they played it the
right way. They went away for a while and their
fans really wanted to see him, so the police did
the same thing. Police went away for a long time,
came back for one tour, sold out everywhere, and they'll

(50:35):
probably and they made their money and with their separate ways,
which is too bad because that band is good. The police.
The police are very good and they're still alive. But
good duo. One more time. I like the police.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah, staying can still saying that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
Yeah, Stuart Copeland still a great drummer. I mean those
guys I don't know. I guess they just didn't get along.
We hear them stories about those guys. Anyway, we're rambling now.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
So so the next time we can ramble later. Because
if y'all didn't know, I'm going out to California to
visit Mark and we've got some big plans happening. Yes
that I get there Thursday, and we're going to see
John Oates.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
At the Ventura Theater.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
People may not know who that is, but that's half
of Hall and Oates, which everybody knows Hall of Oats.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Yeah, John John is the one that he gets crapped
on a little bit. But the dude can sing, and
he was He wrote half those songs. Yeah, Darryl Dell
Hall gets all the yeah because he's the good looking,
tall guy and he's mostly the lead singer, but not
all the songs are song John Oates sung sung some
lead too.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Yeah, and so we're.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
Kind of like Hall of Oats a lot there.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
Oh, I mean so freaking good, like Sarah Smile gotta
be one of my favorite songs.

Speaker 1 (51:54):
I saw them at the House of Blues. You know,
when they're during their down period that people weren't really
them their respect is. Before the Darrell's House show came out,
they were so good. Everybody in the band was great.
Every song was great, no sampling, They're all singing. And
now hell on Oates if they ever got there now there,

(52:14):
I don't think they'll ever get back together again, but
you never know. If they do, they'll be playing arenas easy.

Speaker 2 (52:23):
Oh yeah, I don't know they'll be doing outdoors stadiums,
but they'll be doing the bigger places.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Yeah, if they're still alive, who knows. Maybe though I
know there's some drama there too, But one guy, what do.

Speaker 2 (52:35):
You know what happened with that? I know they were
suing each other.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
Right. You know a lot of these artists are selling
their rights, their catalogs, their rights away, like Springsteen, and
we talked about Queen and all these people. Well you
know they they are fifty to fifty partners. So John
Oates wanted to sell, you know, cash in on you know,
you're talking millions upon millions and dollars, and Daryl Hall said, no,

(52:59):
I don't want I don't want to. I want to
hold onto my rights, which is his right. So that's
where the conflict came. And now they don't talk. I
mean that catalog still generates. I guess John wanted the
money now and invest it or whatever. And Daryl just says,
I want to hold on to Mike because who knows
it might be worth more later, or maybe I want
to pass it on, pass it on to my kids

(53:21):
and family and they can live off of it quite nicely.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
Well, you gotta wonder.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
I mean, holl of Oates, their catalog is awesome, but
is it gonna be awesome for a long time? I
don't know Who's it going to be a Beatles catalog
or a Springsteen catalog.

Speaker 1 (53:36):
I don't think so. But you who knows.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
I never know.

Speaker 1 (53:42):
I mean, I don't know what I would do in
that situation. I mean, once you lose all your rights,
all of a sudden, you're com somebody's making money off
of your music on commercials and all kinds of other stuff. Yeah,
you get a lump sum of money. But I think
I'd be happy with like three hundred million dollars.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Yeah, I'd be on an island listen to my songs
being played for a Hyundai commercial. That's fine.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
I'd be more than okay with that. I would invest
all my money and you know, my kids and my
grandkids and my grandkids grandkids would all be fine because
I invested all that money. That's what I would do
with it.

Speaker 3 (54:12):
But yeah, they'd all be that's generational wealth.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
At that point.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
Yeah. But yeah, some people are doing it.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Some people are not so all right, So that's our
Thursday night talking about maybe going to see the Anaheim
Ducks on Friday night.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Yeah, that's probably gonna happen. There's more than a ninety
five percent chance of that happening. Yep.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
Yeah, Saturday going to the comedy club.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Yeah, we're probably gonna go the comedy store. There were
some there were some big on names that were playing
around because there's the improv of the Laugh Factory Louis
c K. But he already sold out. Ah, he's a
big name. So that looks like the Comedy Store on
Saturday Sunday. And what's going happening Sunday?

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Sunday Sunday. The main reason I'm going, We're going to
see Eclipse at the Whiskey of Go Go.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
Yeah, we're probably gonna eat at the Rainbow before the show. Yeah,
I think we got to try the pizza there. We
always hear about the Rainbow pizza. I mean, du yeah,
I don't you've never heard about the pizza at the Rainbow.
I can show you where Lemmy used to sit and
drink is. Yeah, I can show you where I used
to play those video games, and there is everything on

(55:28):
the walls. You could walk around the Rainbow for five hours,
you know, discovering stuff. I believe there's a Van Halen
guitar in there too.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
I mean that was one of their hangouts.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
Right, Yeah, so everybody's hung out there and you might
bump into somebody you know there. You just.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
So that's Sunday night, which I cannot wait for Yeah,
Mark put together a playlist or a Spotify list of
the last tour that Eclipse did and put all their
songs together. He's like, man, he's just some good songs. Like, well,
no shit, yeah, welcome to the Eclipse fan club.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
Yeah, I want to. I want to go in there
and be familiar with the songs. I mean, I already
know they're good bands. Let's see if they can pull
it off live that second question. We're gonna find out.

Speaker 3 (56:16):
Eric Martinson is awesome. He's their singer.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
I don't know if he's really lead guitar player, but
I know he plays guitar. But yeah, I cannot wait
for that.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
And maybe, just maybe, maybe Jeff scot Soto will be
there too, because they're on the cruise as well, so
when they come back, maybe he'll maybe he'll be in
town too, I know where he lives.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
They could do a wet song.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
I don't know if he'd play. He might be in
the crowd standing next to you. The whiskey is not
a big place.

Speaker 3 (56:45):
All right.

Speaker 2 (56:45):
Well, i'd be getting his autograph then, or maybe it's
just a selfie.

Speaker 1 (56:49):
Yeah, just get a picture age. Yeah, he's a very friend.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
Trying to get a selfie with him and Jason Biehler
when I saw them in Philly, but people were talking
to him, and finally was just.

Speaker 1 (56:59):
Like, never mind. He's a very friendly guy. I got
it selfie with Jason, but Jeff I didn't because I
guess he was high school buddies when he was talking
with him, and I didn't want to disturb himself.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
I don't like. I don't like just if you see
somebody famous, I don't like disturbing them if they're in
the middle of something, and never disturb somebody while they're
eating any with their family. Just leave them alone.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
Yeah. Well they were just standing in front of the
stage talking to people. Yeah, you know, and so it
wasn't like I was would have disturbed them or have
gotten in their way or anything like that. So but anyway,
so that's that's Sunday, and then Monday we're gonna heal up.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
Yeah. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know if we're
gonna go out every night, but we'll see something. Something
might pop up.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
If not, we go to the beach, or we tour
Palisades and see all the burnout houses.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
Oh, I can take you there. It's it's you will.
I have not seen it yet, just pictures and he
will be your mind will be blown. How did this happen?

Speaker 4 (58:04):
So?

Speaker 2 (58:04):
Yeah, just the from the pictures I've seen, the level
of devastation is it is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
Yeah, how did it happen in twenty twenty five? But
that's yeah, we don't want to get in a rant
here while we're talking about it. We'll just let all
that Danny's we'll see it for ourselves. And yeah, it's humbling.
And it just didn't happen there. It happened near Pasadena too.
In Altadena. A lot of people there lost their homes.

(58:35):
It was all about poor management. That's what happens when
people don't do their jobs. And on that note, we'll
let you go. So the next time you hear us,
we'll give you a full recap of Danny's trip to Delaware.

Speaker 2 (58:49):
BOYD makes good in Los Angeles, Yeah, intental town.

Speaker 1 (58:54):
Yeah, it should be fun
