Speaker 1 (00:00):
On your Mark, get ready start.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Broadcasting from California and Delaware.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
This is the Hard Rocking Trivia Show.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
And here're your host Mark and Danny. All Right, everybody
on podcast Land, Time for another episode of the Hard
Rocking Trivia Show. I think we're up to almost two nineties.
We're in the late two eighties.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Anyway, somewhere along those lines, out of somewhere.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Anyway. It's been a long time, a lot of shows.
It's been a lot of fun, but whatever. First off,
about a week and a half ago, my wife and
I went to visit some friends down in Virginia and
we saw Rob Thomas in Richmond on a Friday night.
Rob Thomas lead singer of Matchbox twenty and he's got
(01:10):
a pretty pretty go and solo career, I guess. But
the venue was awesome. It was outside, it was great,
great venue. It was really cool Amphitheater. Yeah, yep, no
no cover. I mean the stage was covered, but that
was it. It was all lawn or no, it wasn't
lawn at all. It was seats in front and then
(01:31):
lawn in the back, and then for the really cheap people,
you could sit outside the venue and have a perfect
view of stage, so kind of interesting. As for the show, eh,
I mean, Rob Thomas, our friends had got free tickets
and then they were VIP sections, so that was pretty cool.
You know. I know some of Matchbox twenty, I know
(01:53):
a few of Rob Thomas's hits. I know he's saying
Smooth with Santana and he did that song near the
end of the show, and that was fine. But you know,
most of the show I didn't know, so I'm just like, yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Was there a lot of people there?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah? Yeah, it probably held maybe three thousand people and
it was about three quarters full. Might be my guest,
oh okay, but it was you know, just eh. You know,
he's not a he's not a like a real stage presence.
His voice isn't overwhelming, it's not awesome. It's no Adam
(02:32):
Lambert or anything like that. But if you don't know
his songs, you'd be like, oh, okay, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I mean, and he's kind of like yacht rock ish
but later like nineties yacht rock. Maybe I don't.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, I mean, the I don't know,
the crowd was into it. The people that knew it
knew his stuff, were pretty excited about it. But I
probably knew six songs that was about it.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
But Dan from the Hard Rocking Trivia show was not
into it.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
No, it was not hard rocking at all.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Well it didn't cost you anything, right, so.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah except a trip to Richmond, which was that's always
a good time.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
I'm guessing this is James and Lisa took you, right, yeah, yeah,
at least they took you out for a nice show
and you.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Know, yeah we had a good dinner beforehand Mexican Place,
and yeah, it was it was. It was a good time.
But you know, I I would not go see Rob
Thomas just if he was coming like or I guess
he was in Philly the next day. I wouldn't have gone, Oh, hey,
let's go see Rob Thomas. Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I'll pass.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Well, anyway, shows coming up for me, I might go
to the Rainbow Bash on the thirty first. The headlining
acts are Winger, Trickster and Bullet Boys, and then a
bunch of acts under that. But it's free, but they
say it's free, but it's one of those things where
you eeah, here's your free ticket. Oh, you have to
(04:04):
buy thirty dollars worth of drink coupons, so they give
you a couple of coupons and you buy drinks, so
it's really thirty bucks, which is worth it for a
bunch of bands in the parking lot. So Sylvie and
I might go if it's not too hot and I
don't work the next day, so maybe I'll have a
review of that at the end of the month.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
That's very cool. Yeah, I did. I got a pre
birthday present from my mom and her husband of tickets
to go see Buck Cherry and Michael Monroe.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
They as they paid for him.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, they bought me two tickets, so I think my
brother's gonna come with me.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Wow, and you didn't know what was happening.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
No, I didn't know she was getting me those tickets,
so that was kind of cool.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Wow, she must be listening to the hard rocking Trivia
show that knew that you were interested.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Or she listened to my wife.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, yeah, what I think.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
I think Dana told her that I was that would
be a good birthday present. So yes, it is, so.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
The mom thumbs up to Dana. There you go, Yeah,
there you go. She's a keeper.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
A well thirty six years. I think I don't have
any choice anymore.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
So, yeah, you guys are set thirty six Oh my god,
thirty six years. Wow, you guys are guys are sitting
some kind of record there.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
As long as I've been married.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, well that's the only marriage. But yeah, you might
be the longest living married couple in Delaware.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah, I don't think so. Maybe maybe top ten. I
don't know. There's some thretty old people in Delaware.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Okay, yeah, but they're they're they're just hooking up, they're
not married. Okay, see, you guys win.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
All right, cool, I'll take it.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Now. Let's completely change gears and play some rapid fire.
All right, boys and girls. Danny's coughing in the background,
so that means it's time for some rapid fire where
(06:10):
Danny and I shoot three questions off at each other
and we try to answer these, and you guys at
home try to answer all six. See. If you can
go six for six, good luck. But most people can't
do it. You're lucky to get half of them. So, yeah,
Danny and I have some good questions for each other.
Neither one of us knows what we're gonna fire at
each other. So Danny, are you ready for question one?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah? I think so, I've got some good questions. I
think you may get You'll probably get one or two.
I don't think we'll get all three.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Yeah, I think you're gonna get one. Okay, here we go.
There's a guy named Terry Glaze. He was the lead
singer of Pantera on their first three albums. He was
later replaced by Phil and Sam Anselmo, and that's when
Pantera really blew up. But that wasn't the end of
Terry Glaze's career. He went on the front another band
(07:01):
that released an album in nineteen eighty nine and had
a couple of albums after that. Can you name that band?
Terry Glaze lead singer? Pantera Actually had another band after Pantera.
Weren't that big, but I believe it was on a
major label and it's a really good album, but it
went nowhere.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I'm gonna say Glaze.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
No incorrect. All right, here's your hint. It's actually named
after a porn star.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
A porn star, a band named after a porn star.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
And the porn star was actually very famous because when
she made some of those porn movies, she was underage.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Wasn't there a band called Tracy Lords?
Speaker 3 (07:50):
No? That's the porn star. But what's the name of
the bandy, No, you're super close. The answer is Tracy.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Lord Tracy.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
And it was actually a pretty good band. But yeah, yeah,
once they found out she was seventeen and making those movies,
you can't find them. They're scrapped. They destroyed them all. Wow,
there's no record of those because.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Well that's good.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
She it's child.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, it's illegal, so geez, well good, I'm glad they
destroyed it all. But I don't I don't know that
I've heard that band.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
No, they were actually quite good. If I probably send
you their first album. Yeah, I mean, I actually I
knew Lord Tracy. I had the first album, but I
only found it last week that he was the actual
singer in Pantera, So yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Pantera was more hair metal than the than the hard
harder rock that he became, right.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah, they were kind of like they were eighties hard
rocked and closer to Judas Priest and Time of the
hair metal stuff too the way they looked. But yeah,
once Phil joined the band, they went chavier.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, well, good for them. They they killed it at
opening for Metallica Lable.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Yeah, they're doing well now.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Okay, question number one for you. Okay, A couple of
weeks ago, we talked about the first video on MTV.
It was video Killed the Radio Star by the Buggles,
right right? What was what was the first metal video
played on MTV?
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Oh? God, I don't know, jeez.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
It was the sixteenth video that they played, and it
was a metal band, metal band, There's no there's not
that many metal videos out there.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
The only one I can remember seeing. And I saw
this in London. I'm gonna guess Breaking the Law by
Judas Priest.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
No, that is incorrect. So this band is still around
and they're massive still and this I don't know that
I've ever seen this video, but.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
I'm gonna guess Rathchild by Iron Maiden.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Oh you're no, You're closed. It was an Iron Maiden song,
but it was their title track Iron Maiden.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Oh, there's a video for that apparently, So it's gotta
be some live clip. I mean I didn't know that.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, there's gotta be like live in a club somewhere. Yeah,
that was the first metal video played.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Okay, good to know. I had no idea.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
There you go?
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Okay, all right?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
For two kicking ass?
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, I think we're about to go to over we
might I think you might get this one, okay, all right.
As you know, Kissing Dynamite pretty much headlined the Summer
Breeze festival in Germany. I actually watched it live. It's
pretty entertaining, so you can actually probably see that on YouTube.
So this is a Kissing Dynamite question. On the title
(10:49):
track of Kissing Dynamite's second album, Addicted to Metal, they
do a duet with a famous German vocalist.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Who oh, man, I've got two guesses. I'm gonna go
with Klaus Mina.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Oh what was your second other guess?
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Udo Dirk and Snider.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
That would be the correct answer, kidding made The song
is called Addicted to Metal. Klaus, Yeah, it was, who know,
he might have maybe? Oh have you seen Klaus? You know,
scorpions are doing that thing in Vegas. I can't bring
myself to go. It's getting bad. He's kind of standing
(11:36):
there and seeing I don't know if he's actually he
might be singing, but he looks like he's he should stop.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, I've seen some videos and it looks it looks bad.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
I mean as bad as Vince Neil is. I mean
Klaus was a great singer and he was a great
performer in his time. But it looks like it's time. Okay,
retire now you guys are great.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah stop. Yeah, I feel bad for him, for for
Vince Neil. I don't feel bad. It's just sad and
just it pisses me off because you know, they were
one thing and now they're just a joke. Yeah. I mean,
even though John five is playing with them and he's
amazing the rest of the just stop.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
The piped in background vocals, it's a joke now, it's Yeah,
and I think I think the rumors Vince had a
heart attack and he's coming back like nine months later.
But yeah, he was winded and he was It was
a tough watch.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Oh absolutely, Yeah. The two videos I've seen, he's obviously
not saying. He's basically just standing there and he's barely
even mine in the words. It looks horrible, like, dude,
just stop already you signed a contract that you wouldn't
tour anymore. Yeah, why aren't you living up to that contract?
(12:55):
I mean, yeah, money, but Jesus Christ stopped.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
The contract was some more Motley Crewe to play anymore.
But after that he did solo stuff. But dude, just
take care of your health and stop. I mean, he's
got to have some money by now. You hope he saved.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Just something tired.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
You live in Vegas, your house should be paid for.
Just enjoy your life. Stop. I mean, okay, well, but
people still go like, yeah, I don't want to see
my heroes.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
You know exactly, hims Mina. You know, I don't want
to see Phil Collins. No trudging out there. I'm really
interested to see your review of Heart. You know, see
how Ann Wilson's doing.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Yeah, that got post I was supposed to go in August.
I got postponed in November, so we're gonna see how
that goes. I mean hopefully she's doing Okay, Well, we'll see.
I never had the chance to see him, so I
wanted the opportunity. Hopefully she can pull it off. But
the things I've seen, she can pull off some of it,
but other stuff is like really like if you listen
(14:03):
to the Barracooda, it's not an easy song to sing.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Hell no, good Lord. I saw them at the height
of their powers, and she was unbelievable, just amazing, and
it would be sad to see her get wheeled out
and half sing most of the songs in the catalog.
Oh yeah, it's stop really really feels me sad.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Yeah, okay, Well, and Frankie Valley is the worst thing
where it's not it's just the tape and the guy.
They're wheeling that guy out there and he's just standing
there like a statue. Was like, oh my, it's like
it's like when we saw those politicians freeze on the mic. Yeah,
what he looks like where he's just frozen on the mic.
Just move in his mouth and you can the music's playing,
he's singing. I'm like, he's not even singing. Stop. Yeah,
(14:54):
it's embarrassing. Let's get on some happier topics.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Come on. Yeah really all right, Question two for you
back to somebody that can freaking sing and play. What
band did Wolf van Halen play with from twenty twelve
to twenty sixteen.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I'm gonna say he was in Oh oh, wasn't he
in Tremonti?
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yep, yep, that is correct. He was in the middle
of his van Halen stint, but they were taking a
break and all that, so he went and played with
Tremonti for a few years. He was their official bass player.
He wasn't just like a fill in. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I was gonna say Van Ham, but then I remembered
he saying for somebody else, So I together. I think
we're one for.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Four right now.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Wooooo, all right, here we go. Question three for you.
This is another one I didn't know and I found out.
I was very surprised. Two members of that famous goth
punk band The Misfits formed a Christian metal band under
the name Christ the Conqueror in the nineteen eighties. They
(16:01):
had a lead singer that we all know. Who was
the lead singer of that band that featured two members
of The Misfits. I think it's the I think it's
the guitar player and the bass player, the big giant,
muscular guys with the makeup. So those guys, Christ the
Conqueror released one album and they had a famous guy
(16:22):
sing lead vocals with them.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
I'm assuming it's not Glenn Danzig.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
No, it's somebody who can actually sing really well. Uh
Michael Sweet, Oh incorrect. You're not going to believe this. Yeah,
he's like kind of like Michael Sweet. His name is
Jeff Scott Soto. No way, I've never heard this two
(16:50):
members of Misfits and Jeff Scott Soto. The name of
the band was Christ with a K. It's k r
y st the Conqueror one album.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Wow, I never knew that.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
We got to track that down.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, absolutely, it.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Could be really cool or really bad.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, I'm gonna guess really bad. But you know with
Jeff Scott's so he he's amazing and I'm a huge fan.
But I did not know that.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Yeah, and that one I told you about that one
thing that's going on the Rainbow Bash.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
The band that's playing before Trickster is a guy named
Jerry Only and he was also in the Misfits. So
that's kind of weird. Wow, Okay, I don't know. I'm
not a Misfits fan. No, ok Their T shirts look cool,
they look cool on stage. But I am not a
fan of Glenn Danzig at all. No, I don't get it, No,
(17:48):
not at all. I mean he's not a singer, No,
he's more of a personality.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Mullo.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
I hate that song.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Oh yeah, all right, question number three for you? Who
sings lead vocals on the who song? Boris the Spider?
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Well, if you're asking me something like that, it's probably
not Roger Man boris a Spider. It sounds like a
weird song. I'm gonna say it's Keith Moon.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
That is incorrect. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
My second guest would have been. I initially thought John
intwhistles that right.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yep, yeah, he wrote it, damn it.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
I should have went with my gut.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
It's a cool song. It's like, you know, it's something
the bass player would write. Boris the Spider. Oh my god,
it's one of the you know, the who Is. They're
one of these bands that have some amazing songs, of course,
and then they have some real real crap, you know,
like a lot of the stuff on the Who sellout.
(18:53):
There's some great songs, but others, Oh my god, dude,
that's why I don't run out of time or something.
What happened.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
I don't own one album from the Who. I only
have the greatest hits because yeah, for that reason, there's
too much filler. They all have this A plus great
material and absolute garbage.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Yeah. I back in the day, I bought Who Are You?
And that was the only album I had by the
who Ever, so I don't have a great, great couple
songs on that album.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Yeah, I think I know two songs and that's it. Yeah,
ye whoever you great song?
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Absolutely all right? So we went what one for six?
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yield it we suck. We'd be sitting down to double a.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Yeah. Well maybe you people out there did better than
we did, but I highly doubt it, but I could
be wrong. So if you did better than we did,
you can get a hold of me on Actually you
can get a hold of me now on X and Instagram.
Speaker 2 (19:58):

I don't have my I don't have one under my name.
I have one under the hard Rock and Trivia Show,
and I have I had one underneath where I used
to coach a travel basketball team. Okay, so my son
was making fun of me one day, so I said, hey,
I'll just make a hard rocking trivia show one so
and just follow anybody who likes the music we do
and maybe build it from there. All right, I don't
(22:32):
know who uses what anymore. I know it's Snapchat is
for the youngsters, and my Facebook is for the old fogies,
and I guess Instagram and xer in the middle.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
So yeah, I'm on Instagram. That's the one I usually
am falling down the rabbit hole with and once in
a while X.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
But so from now and when I get off of this,
I'm gonna follow you from the Hard Rocking Trivia Show,
so you can start posting crap if you want. You
come aprou from post it and I'll see it and
I'll share it, and I'll if I find something, i'll
post it. Because every once in a while I'll be
on YouTube and i'll see a cool concert and I'll
just share it. It's easy, easy to share on X Instagram.
(23:11):
I'm not sure. I think you can. Probably it is. Yeah,
it's easy, so just throw stuff out there. All right,
let's go to a quick commercial break, and we're gonna
come back with six and thirty where Danny and you're
gonna embarrass each other. Is a human number.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
It's number is six. All right, everybody, welcome back. We're
gonna go into a bit we call six and thirty
where we play six bits of songs in thirty seconds,
(23:49):
and we got to get the artist. And sometimes these
are really hard. Sometimes I enjoy making these, whether they're
difficult or not. Sometimes I make them just for the fun.
I'm making it and I like the song, so it's
fun and you get all six. Other times I decided
screw that, you're not getting any.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Yeah, Dan's mad at me. I get zero.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
But this time I'm gonna go first. I'm gonna play
the song Mark put together. There's always a theme to these,
so Mark, what's your theme?
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Okay? In this six and thirty, all of these artists
have some kind of tie to the band Rat or
Mickey Rat. So it's members of who've been guys who've
been members of Rat or Mickey Rat and went out
went on to be into different bands, and there's a
(24:42):
lot of people.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
There's a lot Jesus Christ. Okay, all right, well let's
see what we can do here.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Good luck, Mickey Rat.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Good lord, that's everybody.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Oh ye, company.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Gets you?
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Holy moly, I'm sure you got some of those though.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
I got I think three, maybe four, I think you would.
Oh man, that's all right. Here we go again.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Oh yeah, that's called four s half a company. I'm
pretty five.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Gets all right? Okay, Dan, I know I got two,
maybe three, possibly four, but definitely not not all six.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Okay, well these are all all of these bands that
we just played. These six bands have guys who were
members of Mickey Rat or Rat. Famous guys got their
start in that band.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
So no, absolutely, what's number one?
Speaker 3 (26:28):
I got tricky with number one. It's a band, you know,
I mean you know, actually you know all of these bands.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Number one I I have not is it? Is it Ozzy?
Speaker 3 (26:39):
It is not Ozzy? Number one? Okay, I got tricky
on this. On this band's live album, they had three
studio tracks. The name of the band is rough Cut.
Oh the name of the song is Prowler and Matt
Thorne was a member of Mickey Ratt and is currently
(27:02):
playing with Steven Pearcy and was in rough Cut, and
he's on the very first rat song that what was
on Metal Massacre, which was tell the World That's Me.
So I figured I play a song with his heavy bass,
and it's that song, and that song is pretty good.
I keep forget. I always forget because I love the
first two rough Cut albums, but I forget on the
(27:23):
live album. There was three studio tracks on there, and
I never really paid attention to them.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Yeah, I love rough Cut, but I had no I'd
never heard that one before.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah. In fact, the drummer from rough Cut is trying
to put out a band called rough Cut, and I
think he's the only guy that left in it. So
they're playing the whiskey. It's like the drummers Dave's rough Cut.
I'm like one guy left. I'm like, uh, I'll pass.
I mean, I like Cut. It's got to be Paul
singing with the other guys.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Sorry, yeah, Paul, and at that I'm mere deck Bro.
Yeah yeah, rock.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Rock. Yeah, but that's his real name though it's which
is weird. It's a Persian name, but yeah, yeah, okay,
and putting Matt there, and well the Chris Hagar just
passed away, so he can't play obviously, but I think,
uh yeah, I think for the Fire are still alive,
so that'd be cool to see.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
But they could, they could get it together, but who knows.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
I think they would do it without the drummer. I
think they don't like the drum. I know that Matt
Thorn does not like the drummer. I think the rest
of the guys want nothing to do with him. So
maybe the other three guys would do it, because they
did do another rough cut album it was, but it's
only the three guys I me, or Matt and Paul.
They did put another one out, but I have it,
but I really haven't listened. I really didn't listen to it.
(28:41):
So okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Number two, that's definitely Steven Pierson. I think that was
when he was an arcade correct, all right? Number three,
I have no clue. It doesn't even sound familiar. Yeah,
I know, I'm gonna be pissed when you tell me,
but no.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Just just guessing. La La hair Band. Maybe you'll get
it right. Poison Poison Nope, incorrect? Okay, the guy the
name of the song is the show. It's on the
album called Zaza. That's the Bullet Boys. Oh wow, I
think it's on z Yeah. Yeah. And because Mark Toreene
(29:25):
was a member of Rat for probably a month or two,
and Mark Toreen was also gonna be Ozzy's guitar player.
He likes about thirty days, and I think that he
was very young, and I think that's the reason they
gave for him not actually getting the gig. But if
you know the history of the Bullet Boys and everything,
(29:46):
I guess Mark is not a not a He's a
hard guy to get along with, and it seems like
everybody's been in a band with it leaves.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Yeah, he's probably a dick. He probably is my band.
I'm gonna do what I want. He probably I don't know.
Maybe he had a big ego being an Aussie, but
Sharon's not gonna let that happen.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Super talented guy, good singer, great guitar player. But I
guess if you don't have the right personality, who wants
to go on the road with you?
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:14):
So that was the Bullet Boys.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
All right, So I'm one for three. The next one
I know is Lily an Axe correct.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
That is inside Out And the reason that song is
on there is because Robin Crosby produced the first Lilyan
Axe album, the late Robin Crosby. So that's the connection there,
all right.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
The next one I'm not too sure about. I know
I've heard the song. I think it's Red Dragon Cartel.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
And you would be correct, sir, Yes, And why is
that there? Because jk Lee Jaki Lee was also in Rat.
He might be he's either a Rat or Mickey Rat,
one of the other, but he was early on.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah, I think he was in Mickey Rat.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Because there are actually I sent you a Jakie Lee.
I don't know if, but you know, I sent it
to you on dropbox, but you never picked it up.
But it's still sitting there and I think that, yeah,
it's called It's in dropbox and it's sitting right there
Jakie Lee.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
I'm looking at dropbox right now and I don't see it.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Wow. I'm off to rescind it. But I know there's
some early there's some rough cut songs that Jakie Lee's
on too, and they were stuff that's not on the
first album.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
So there's some early early Yeah, I believe so. Oh,
I haven't even listened to that. It's a it's a
compilation that somebody put together of early stuff. Okay, I'll
rescind it, but it was I saw it sitting there.
So okay, so you've got you've gotten three so far.
So the last one, Yeah, last one I'm pretty sure
is quite right correct? And because why is what has
(31:54):
what is quite right have to do.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
With rat Carlos Cavazo played with at for a while.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Yep, that's why. Yeah, I figured you'd kick ass on this.
I knew at four to six.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Well that the two rough cut Bullet Boys, I had
no clue.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
See I I thought you'd get the Bullet Boys one.
I knew the rough cut one was going to be brutal. Yeah,
the rest of them and the lily N Max you
can tell by the vocalists. Really.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Yeah that with Arcade, lily N Max and Quite Riot,
the vocals came goes away.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
It's hard to give you a quiet Riot song. You
gotta find. It's something you gotta find some more. It's
somebody else singing.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Or yeah, something pretaky.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Yeah, Kevin's too distinct.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
All right, Well, let's see how you do with your
six and thirty. That I made. I think you'll get
I think you'll get three.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
All right, So what's the theme of this one?
Speaker 2 (32:50):
All right? The theme of this one? And this came
about I asked my wife and daughter. We were on
a walk today. I said, I need a theme for
six and thirty, and I think it. My daughter said, well,
I'm going to school this week, and Dany said, yeah,
I start school next week. So these are all songs
that have school in the title.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Okay, school in the title. Well, yeah, I started teaching
last week. So wow, all right, okay, so play along
at home. I got my pen and my paper ready,
and let's see how we do.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
Then I'm going to have your mother schools with.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Some I got immediately, and then he got down to
the last couple. I was lost.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Yeah, I don't think you'll get the last two at all.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
What is the name of that band? I'm thinking what
number two was? I've heard that before, but I couldn't remember.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Now. The first one is a cover song, I'll tell
you that.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Yeah, I got maybe him.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
It's not Alice Cooper.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Yeah, I got that one right away. But yeah, the
last couple, I'm like, huh, what huh? All right, I'm
gonna play it again. Here we go.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
We got.
Speaker 4 (34:54):
Then I'm going to have your mother schools.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Jesus. That didn't help. Oh boy, Okay, I have a
feeling i'm gonna lose this because I know I got
three for sure, all right, and I got a guess
for the second one. But I don't have a guess
at all for five and six. So I'm gonna be.
I'm gonna be. Yeah, we're gonna find it, all right.
(35:25):
Number one was Crocus.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
That is correct.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Yeah, I mean I like that song. But they really
didn't need to do that one.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
No, they didn't. They didn't add anything to it. Nah,
they didn't make it their own that you know.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
I mean, Crocus does have a history of taking songs
that you know. I mean, they really did great with
an American woman. But prior to that and around that time,
they covered a lot of songs. But when they covered
the more obscure ones, it worked, Like stay Awake All
Night was a bt O song. I didn't know that
until later. But there's other ones in there like that.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Yeah. They Oh, they had another big, pretty big hit
with the cover tune. I can't remember the top of
my head.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Now, I know they did Manford Man's Quinn the Eskimo,
which is I think Bob Dylan song. They did that.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Yeah, that was necessary they did it, but okay, whatever,
all right, no, all right?
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Number two, number two total guests. Is it Life, Sex
and Death?
Speaker 2 (36:31):
No, it is incorrect. I had drummer that you like.
That is no longer with us?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Is it Cozy Powell? Nope, drummer is no longer with us,
and he's a singer.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
One of your favorite bands.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
Is it, mister Big Nope? Was it? Eric Carr?
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Yes, that is correct, Eric Carr. Yeah, I thought that
was a pretty cool song though didn't sound bad. Yeah,
kind of old schools what I did there?
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Yeah, you're so funny, all right. Number three was the
easiest one. That is Anvil.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
That's right off their first album.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
Mighty Anvil.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
I thin you can't go wrong with the first two
Anvil albums after that hit or miss, you know?
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (37:16):
For me anyway, number three was all I mean. Number
four was easy. That's black and Blue from the school
or not. Al Right, here's here's where it gets interesting. Alright,
So I've gotten I gotten three yep, and I don't
think I'm gonna be either one.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Of these probably is.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
It big bands are kind of obscure bands.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
The first one is very obscure.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
Alright, I wrote this down, I wrote slick toxic. Is that?
Speaker 2 (37:49):
No, that is not correct?
Speaker 3 (37:52):
No, who is it is the name of a state,
the name of a state, and then an American state. Yep, Kansas.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
It is Alaska?
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Oh god, Okay, yeah, I remember that was a Bernie
Marsden from White Snake Alaska. Yeah. I have those, but
I've never listened to them.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Yeah. I saw this and I listened to it, and
I just like the line if I can't have you,
I guess your mother will do or whatever the line put.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
It in there, depending on how depending on how mom
looks it. Maybe alright, yeah, hey, and number six has
kind of a funky guitar, some funky guitar playing on it.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Dan Reid Network, No, that is incorrect a way. He's
way more of my favorite guitar player than Dan.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Steve Lucather, that is correct. I know I don't remember
any of those Souls Steve Lucather's solo albums. I have
a couple of them. I really don't listen to him.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
So, yeah, that's off of the Sessions album. He did
with like it's kind of like just recording sessions he
did with people. Okay, but those last two songs are
both called school Girls.
Speaker 3 (39:17):
Okay, so there you go. Well, it looks like you
won this particular.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Bit one by one, damn it.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
And I blame your daughter, your youngest in your life
for my loss. So I'm holding a grudge.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Okay, good luck with that.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
You had no idea what to do and they planted
that seat in your mind and screwed me over. Thanks.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Yep. I'm sure they will lose sleep tonight over that. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
I bet. In fact, I'm going to call him up
at three in the morning tonight just to wake them
up and complain. Okay, all right, good luck, Yeah, good
luck with that.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Now, see how that goes over
