Speaker 1 (00:01):
On your Mark, get ready start broadcasting from California and Delaware.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
This is the Hard Rocking Trivia Show and here're your
host Mark and Danny.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Welcome to the Hard Rocking Trivia Show. Everybody. We are
episode to something on whatever, and we have a very
special guest this time. A few episodes ago, we had
a comment from my daughter saying how old guys aren't
giving these new bands chances, and we like said, what
(01:00):
are you talking about? No way, So we thought we'd
have her on let her ask some questions because we
were also getting feedback around how people don't seem to
like some of our show reviews and that the questions
are the most popular. So we are having an all
question episode this time with maybe a little surprising.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
All right, anyway, Oh, it's somebody's contacting Annie there. What
is that all about?
Speaker 3 (01:28):
She's probably working.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
That's her fan base.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
A Google password needs updated on my computer, haven't put.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
It in in a while, but yeah, okay, all right, all.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Right, So we have we have Annie on with us
to ask a bunch of questions of us. And as
you may or may not know, Annie is a ginormous
Beatles fan, so I'm not asking her any Beatles questions,
because I think she's going to know just about all
the ones I can.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Before we do that, Danny, we have to play the
rapid fire music intro.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
All right, Welcome back everybody. So we're gonna start out
with some rapid fire questions and we have a bunch
this time, so buncle up, write these answers down, and
if you can get all of them right, you win
the mega prize of the week, which is eternal glory.
I think it's eternal glory this time. Is it eternal glory?
(02:33):
I don't know, maybe just a limited glory, like maybe
for the next year, you get glory.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
About world peace. Come on, Dan, shoot the stars.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Yeah right, okay, all right, So we're gonna let Annie
ask us some questions. She thinks she's so smart has
all the answers, so I guess hopefully she does have
the answers to the one she's asking.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
So Danny, now are gonna try to answer these. We're
gonna raise our hand even though you guys can't see us.
We're gonna see who can answer it first and see
if she can stop both of us. If she can,
then we'll pay for her girls colleges Wow, let'sxactly writing.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yes, you may want to back off on that. Charlott's
going somewhere pretty absolute.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
I'm sure I won't be alive and he will be
doing it.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I know you said you were gonna save or you know,
keep the Beatles questions away from me, But I have
one for you, and it is a little bit of
a softball in my opinion. What was the name of
George Harrison's second wife?
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Was it Patty?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
That was his first wife?
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Oh, real embarrassing. Oh man, that is embarrassing. I I
don't I was gonna say Patty also, but I don't
know his second wife? Is that Eric? Is that Eric's
ex wife?
Speaker 4 (04:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Eric wife as well? Yeah? Patty boyd okay. His second
wife's name was the same name as my sister, Olivia.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Is it Olivia? Thank you?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
You know what you want?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Oh boy?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
No zero points, he said, no point for him. I
gotta keep tracking, y'all.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
The old guys are sucking already, all right. So Danny,
now it's your time to ask your question to Annie,
and if she can't answer it, I'll answer it.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
I will ask a question. Uh, you may know, you
probably won't know this, so Iron Maiden toured on a
seven forty seven for their for Their Brave No their
Souls too, which was not too long ago. So they
(04:57):
got they purchased the airplane or the airline that they
rented it from, purchased it from Air France seven seven.
They toured the world in this They called it ad Force one.
What was what happened to that airplane when they were
done with it? When Iron Maiden was done with it?
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I don't know, but I'm going to guess. Did it
catch on fire?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
No? Yeah, that would have been book of souls. That
was a book of souls to it.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Okay, so so she missed it. I get a chick
crack at it. Yeah, I think the Air Force of
Ecuador now owns it.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
That would be very close, but not even close at all. Really,
it was scrapped and made into key chains that you
could purchase on the Iron Maiden website.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
How much.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I don't They were sixty six point sixty six pounds.
You know, they're all big into the number of the
Beast all that, So that's how much they.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Were talk about a cash grab.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Geez, well, how many bands can scrap their own seven
forty seven to make keychains.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Come on, now, I got a bone to pick with
Iron Maid. You guys ever heard of maybe recycling? Perhaps? Maybe?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
I don't know they did. They didn't recycle keychains.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
To their fans.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yeah, that sucks. I wish I had known. I might
have bought one.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Yeah. All right, Okay, do you have a piece of
a seven forty seven on your keychain? No?
Speaker 4 (06:35):
You do not? Do you want one?
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Well?
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Probably, I guess. I guess maybe people did. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Okay, A.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Good mix of hard rock and airplane knowledge.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Okay, now here's a good question. All right, Annie, here
we go. What what band features the brothers of Classic
Quiet Riot members Rudy Sarzo and Carlos Cavasso. I'm gonna
give you four choices, okay, one Hurricane, two, tsunami, three earthquake,
(07:16):
four rainstorm.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I'm gonna go with Hurricane correct.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yes, Wow, look at that she's on the board.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Woo. That was the only one I knew was a band.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
I think tsunami was a band too, but the Hurricane
that was kind of obvious. I had to think of
things on the fly. Dan. I knew Danny would get
that in a heartbeat.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
That one. Yeah, all right, so there's a bonus question.
Who was the lead singer Hurricane.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I know that Kelly Hanson.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Who is now in Annie.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
He was, he was in Foreigner now he's now retired.
They got replaced, all right, So Annie goes back to
you to try to stump the sexy Grandpa's.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
That was exactly what I was thinking. It was just
reported that Eddie van Halen's original Frankenstrat was up for auction.
Who is the owner of that guitar? Oh?
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Do you know, Daddy?
Speaker 3 (08:17):
I think it's a wolf game.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
He went on his Instagram and debunked that and said,
this guitar is not up for auction. It is at
my house.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Absolutely. There's a video of him playing a riff from
his new album line.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yep. Yeah, I thought that was a trick question. I
was thinking his Wolf Gang too. So I just she's
trying to fool us, make.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
She's trying to get in on the points on the
back end.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
She tried to make me look. I didn't want to
look stupid, and now I look stupid for not answering
the obvious answer.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Okay, question there you go?
Speaker 4 (08:54):
All right, Okay, over to you Dan.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Okay, I'll give one another one up more Annie's alley.
How many number one albums does Fallout Boy have in
the US? Number one? A one? You want to yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Or is she going to just the one? Is she incorrect?
I'm gonna say three.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
You're both wrong. It's added those together. You would be right.
They have four number one albums. You just you're gonna do.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Annie's gonna get He's gonna get kicked out of the
fall Up Boy fan club now, jeez, one, I was
closer than that.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I think I got picked out and I took my
lip ring out.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Okay, yeah, so.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Let's go over to me. Okay. You ever heard of
the band Winger?
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
I know you have, baby, Okay, I just saw the
last performance of Winger at the parking lot of the
Rock Seeing the Whiskey. So there's a guy in this band,
Guy and Winger. His name is John Roth. He's a
guitar player. He just joined a legendary band last week.
(10:04):
Here are your choices, A Starship, B, The Beatles, C Foreigner,
or d Sticks. Which of those bands did John Roth
just joined? Once again? Correct? She is winning two to two?
(10:27):
Did you even know that? If I wouldn't have said
those four bands.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
It would have been what I would have thought to
guess at least.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Okay, oh a for bonus question, your mom saw John
Roth in concert? What band was he playing with?
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Opening for Rick Springfield at the Delaware State Fair.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
We built this city, We built this city on rock
in Rod built this city. Who is it?
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Nope?
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Starship, Starship?
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Right, the younger generations not with Starship number one hit,
terrible song, number one.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Hit in the list worst song ever.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
It's pretty bad, but still made a bowload of money.
So let's I say for the taste of American I
don't know it goes back Annie all.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
All right, I know how much you guys love the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Just talking about him, we don't.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah. Well, last week on Dancing with the Stars, two
of the inductees of this year's class for the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame performed you know which to inductees.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
That was my wife watches that crappy show and I
actually I saw part of that show, but I refused
to I don't know who to help. So somebody from
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performed on Dancing
with the Stars I, Danny, do you have any clue to.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Of them this year's this year's.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
Oh god, I'm gonna give salt and pepper? Is that
one of them?
Speaker 2 (12:12):
No?
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Okay, Dan over to you.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Oh jeez, I don't even know who's getting inducted this
year anymore. I blocked that crap.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
How about oh you guess, I'll guess the next one foreigner? No,
they were last year outcast.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
No, they did do an outcast song for one Columbus
Jackson and for real, I knew two outcast songs.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Yeah, the White Stripes.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
No, they did do Robert Irwin danced to a white song.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
How about Chubby Checker? Then?
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Is he still alive?
Speaker 4 (12:57):
He he just performed with Yeah, he got in just
this year and he just performed with Night Ranger of
ault bands like Last Week and a Little Late. Huh,
it's hits. The last here was probably in sixty three.
They're still alive. You stumped You stumped us? So who
was it?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Cool in the Gang and Chicago?
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Damn?
Speaker 3 (13:18):
I actually would have liked to see both of those that.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
I never saw Cool in the Gang. But I did
see Chicago live and they're great, and I do like
Cool in the Gang too, So once again.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
I saw cool In the Gang And guess who I
saw them opening for.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
I know the answer, were you there? No, but you
mentioned somebody in the band earlier you mentioned them. Cool
In the Gang opened for a huge rock band and this,
and you just named a person in that.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Band, mighty band Halen. W Yeah, yep, Cooling the Gang
opened for Van Halen. When she would think what it was,
it was so great.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
All right? And since you mentioned the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame right before we got onto this, I
was watching the Paul Rogers just went in with Bad Company,
and he couldn't make it there because he's really old
and he's I don't know how much time he's got left,
and he was he didn't think he could handle the
trip for his health and everything. So the Rock and
(14:23):
Roll Hall of Fame let him do a video and
they gave him two minutes. The guy's been waiting to
get into the Rock and Hall of Fame for about
thirty years and they gave him two minutes.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Oh, poor dude. That sucks.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
I was in Free, he was in Bad Company, he
was in Queen for a little while.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Unbelievable singer. He's one of the two guys they say
is the best rock singers of all time. Amazing career,
great human. You can watch his if you go to YouTube.
He recorded a four minute and twenty one second but
they they probably only broadcast two minutes of it.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
That's crazy the level of disrespect.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
I mean, some of these old guys are dying before
they get their bands get in And here's a guy
who wants to be there, and you give them.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
This year.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Who yeah blieve?
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Oh they already went in publicad boy, I can't believe.
The White Strips.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
One song, one song song, but that song is played
in every single you.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Know the song Dun dun dumb dun dun dum dum
set yeah, set seven armument Yeah. One guy's got talent,
the other one couldn't draw them. I don't know anyway,
I lost complete. Oh so Annie asked that question. Who
stumped us again? So it goes over to Dan Man.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
We Are Heard, Yeah, okay. So there were three huge
charity songs released in the eighties. They are We Are
the World, Don't they Know It's Christmas? And Stars By
Hearing It, which was a heavy metal version. Put those
songs in order of their release.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Good luck, adie.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
You don't tell me here, just what which went first? Second?
And third?
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Okay, I'm gonna say we Are the World was last,
and Stars was second, and I forget the name of
the second one.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Do they know It's Christmas time?
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Because it's not Christmas time?
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Right?
Speaker 4 (16:46):
Okay? So you think that one was last? Okay? Is
that your that's her answer? All right, here's my answer.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
She said that was first.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
That's first. Okay, that is not the right all right.
First one that came out was do they know It's Christmas?
Which was the British version. It was Bob Geldoff and
he got all the British stars together, and what they
American side noticed that this is a song for Africa,
and the Americans realized there's like like one black person
(17:15):
there for the British version. So they did their own version,
which was version two, which was we Are the World,
which was more African American artists along with some white artists.
And why Bob Dylan was there trying to sing, I
have no idea because he can't sing. Third one was
Stars with the heavy metal one.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yep, that is correct. There is all and we Are
the World was written by.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
Yeah, yeah, and then.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Prince and Prince was supposed to be there, but he
didn't show up because him and Michael Jackson had a
little beef. And there was a Canadian one too, and
there was a Swedish one too. The Swedish one's awful.
You can see that on YouTube. It is terrible.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Well, Stars isn't really that good either. That's got some
great guitar solos, but this.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
Song is average. Yeah, that. Some of the singing is
Dave Menickinni's great singing, and some of the people are
great singing. The song's not good. The guitar solos are fantastic,
but yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Yeah, all right, so there you go, Mark, You've got that.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Wo No, it's in a way I hope you people
out there are keeping track. Is no, we're not keeping
track of who gets what, So we're not We're not
even gonna bother with that, all right.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
So I think I like I've got four points now
or something like that.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Okay, Annie, I'm not gonna give you. This is a
non multiple choice question. Okay, what was the first hit
single for Paul McCartney after the Beatles? What song.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Incorrect, Dan, the first hit single, does that mean it
was the number one?
Speaker 4 (18:57):
No, just a hit that was played. It was a
it's a it's a big song. You're gonna know the
song when I tell you, Unless you get it right,
I'm going to say jet jet incorrect. His first hit
single was Another Day, but it's it Yep, It's funny
because maybe I'm Amazed was on his first solo album,
(19:21):
but it was never released as a single. That became
a hit on the live album So Another Day. So
I stumpd you with Paul McCartney. Yeah, yay, me too.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
It's great, but I've seen I've seen him live.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Okay, fine, yes, Dan, you you're better than both of us.
You've seen Paul McCartney.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
I win so hard? M okay? And in your turn again, I'm.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Gonna go with another Beatles question as well. The first
and last pictures of the Beatles before together were taking
exactly how many years apart? Wow?
Speaker 4 (19:56):
First band picture? Dan's gonna answer first.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
I'm gonna say eight.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
I'm gonna say nine. Nope, there must be only seven.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
It must have been when they were playing Hamburg, right,
Is that the first time we ever saw pictures of
the band to get and know there's a pictures before that. Okay, Oh,
at the club in Liverpool and then they went to Hamburg.
Is that the way it went?
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Yep?
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Damn it?
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Seven? All that in seven years?
Speaker 3 (20:34):
All that? That's unbelievable. Yeah, seven years.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
And they still are great. All right, Dan, you staking this,
but for some for someone who supposedly likes Paul McCartney,
you just blew up. You missed two questions in a row. Yes,
I could tell.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Okay, who is the only artist to hold all ten
spots in the Billboard chart at the same time?
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Go ahead?
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Only one artist that have ever done.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
One through ten? Is it? Is this US charts or
British charts?
Speaker 3 (21:11):
US charts?
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Okay? So all ten were the same artists?
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Okay, all ten were by the same artists at the.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Same I have a guess, but I'm gonna let any
guests first.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
I'm going to guess.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Taylor Swift, you are correct, the only person to ever
done it, ever have done it, and she has done
it three times.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
That must because the way they do it now they
they use streaming as part of the charts, and so
all the Taylor Swift, that's that's pretty. You gotta it.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
She puts on an album and every song goes top ten.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
That's unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Mm hmmm. Yeah, and she's done it three times, which
is crazy.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
Do you have three albums?
Speaker 3 (21:55):
I do that?
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Okay, I'm gonna look that up. I'm sure Life of
a Showgirl is one, but I'm not exactly sure what
the other you are.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
I couldn't name one Taylor Swift album. Maybe she has
a debut with just Taylor Swift, but I don't know. Yeah, okay,
I know one.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Van Halen was nineteen.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Four Taylor Swift. I was thinking the Beg's. I was
thinking the Beatles, Taylor Swift. Come on.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I didn't think it was a trick question because I
know it's Taylor Swift, but it couldn't be Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
I wouldn't ask a Taylor Swift song. I wouldn't if
you weren't here.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
That's fair, all right, Okay. I don't know if I
can answer ask that to any well, I'll ask it anyway.
The people out there playing along with us, Okay, besides
George Lynch. You know George Lynch's, by any chance, okay,
(22:55):
who has played lead guitar on a doc in student album.
Davis Klanis goes out to both of you, because I
don't know if Danny's gonna get this.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
I'm gonna say Red Beach.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
One.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
That's all you asked for. Who has played yout me?
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Three grass? All right, so think of who's been in
a solo album and think who's in his band? Now, Yeah,
he doesn't know.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
No, I don't know Rod.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
No.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
They both have the same The next two guys have
both have the same first name, and it's also named
my brother. Got the John part.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Right because I knew of your brother back in the day.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Right. The current guitar player's name is John Levin. The
other John is also he's more famous for being a
member of another band who plays on another continent. It's
also the name of a continent. There's only seven continents. Yeah, correct, John,
norm correct. And he didn't get that one, huh.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
No, I didn't have anything on that one.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
I couldn't ask like forty names and guests three of them.
That one didn't work out. But I have an awesome
question coming up, so people out there stay tuned for it.
Goes back to Anny.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Okay, all right, this is my my last question. I
have a member of which band from the two thousands
is now writing the music for Disney's Spider Man TV show.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
Two thousands bands were spider Man. I didn't know there
was a spider Man TV show, So I don't want
Disney the.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Band.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
I'm gonna guess, all right, Bowling for soup?
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Nope, my dad from falling.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
Out for it, Yep. I'm so proud of him.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
My first I do have an in because I would
go over to their house and the girls would watch
be watching Spider Man Spidy.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
I just came up with a question in my head
right now, all right, fallout Boy his you know how
the super Bowl socks here? Fall Out Boy has played
the Canadian Super Bowl as a live performer. What is
the name of the CFL Super Bowl called?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I didn't even know what had one?
Speaker 4 (25:24):
They do and they played it live, Danny.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
The Governor's Cup or something.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
You're really close cup is in it?
Speaker 3 (25:32):
The Athletic Cup.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
It's called the Gray Cup. I saw it. It was
like two or three years ago. You could probably fight
it on a YouTube where they played live, and they
actually played live. They didn't fake it at the Gray Cup. Well, awesome,
A is relative.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
No I took a boy shows and they were really good.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
Okay, really, you're you're a good father, a much better
better father than I am.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
That is true.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
He complained plenty about their opening acts when he took
me to see fall Out Boy. I think metro Stations
is still Who's you money?
Speaker 3 (26:11):
If I ever see Metro Station, I'll punch that guy
in the face.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
You know, he's Miley Cyrus's brother.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Yeah, well he's terrible, he is.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
That was that was rough. I'm sorry about that.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Well it made up for him follow the way afterwards
they were great.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Okay, all right, it's my turn first for a Okay,
we're talking about Iron Maiden earlier before I have another
question about them. Who was initially approached by Steve Harris
to replace Dennis Stratton in Iron Maiden.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
You got to give her four choices there, Dan please?
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Jeez? Okay, so good?
Speaker 4 (26:50):
He is off the top of his head.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Yeah, okay, John five, John norm Uh, Phil Holland or
Tommy Bowlin.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
I'm gonna go with John five.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Incorrect.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
I'm gonna go with Phil Collin.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
That is correct.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Yeah. I was watching his face because you could tell
when he was thinking about it. I was like, well,
Tommy Bowen was dead, John five is too too young,
so it was either one of the two guys. So
all right, I think I have a good one for you.
Have you ever seen the movie Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts
(27:32):
Club Band that came out in nineteen seventy eight? Awful?
I saw I saw it in the movie Theater. Okay,
which one of these artists was not in the movie.
The beg's Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart or Aerosmith.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
I'm gonna say Alice Cooper.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
Incorrect, Danny, I'm gonna say Ron Stewart correct. In the
movie Alice Alice Cooper sings the song.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Because it's been so long since I've seen it.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
Yeah, it's yeah, show it to your kids. The music's good.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
The acting is my granddaughter.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
The music is good because they're good songs. Some of
the performances are good. The acting is horrible. The story,
there's no story. My favorite part was Aerosmith coming doing
come together and they get killed in the movie. But
there are some decent parts to it. But okay, the
(28:37):
movie is terrible.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
You can't get them off of K pop. Demon Hunter.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Oh, okay, they'll grow out of it.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Maybe I didn't come over one day last week and
they're watching the Sound of Music.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
Great movie. Yeah makes me want to go, which is
where my wife wants me to take her. I promised
her twenty years ago when she graduated, I take her.
It's gonna happen because I'm retiring in twenty six, so
I'm gonna take her eventually before we die. We're going
(29:10):
to Austria and we're gonna We're gonna love what a
sound of Danny's a singer. I'm not all right, and
he's already finished, and he's finished with her question. So
it goes back to Dan.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
All right, here we go. I think I have two more.
Let's see three more. Okay. How many drummers have recorded
studio albums with Judas Priest?
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Six?
Speaker 3 (29:39):
That is correct? Wow? Nice. Next, I'm not gonna list
them all because there's too many, but yeah, they've gone through.
They are the inspiration for spinal taps, drummers die.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
My guess was going to be five, so I would
have missed it. So wow, we just.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Got spinal tap for the first time a few weeks
ago Austin. My husband said, that's got to be inspired
by some real band where the drummers keep dying, and
I'm really glad to know that. It was hilarious.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
It's so many drummers died, I mean talking led Zeppelin,
Judas Priest, just the number of drummers that bands go through.
That's just making fun of that whole thing. And then
getting lost get getting lost in backstage?
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Yeah, every I think every band's got that in the
getting stuck in the pods that was Angel.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah, that was hilarious. And finally let's go the s
for there shutting them back in.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
I love that movie. I haven't I haven't seen the
I haven't seen the sequel yet. Has anybody's seen the sequel?
I haven't either, definitely, just wait till it comes out. Okay,
all right, goes back to it.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Was a complete classics. So yeah, oh so they they
haven't seen them till just now. Is a failure on
my part is apparent.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
It is a good movie. All right, here we go.
It goes back to me, how many Top ten US
singles does Ringo Star have as a solo artist? So
we'll let Annie answer first, and then Danny top ten
solo hit singles? Does Ringo Star have a solo artist four.
All right, she says four. What do you think, Dan?
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Actually I was gonna say four as well.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
I'll say five, Danny's closer seven. What I'll name them?
It don't it Don't Come Easy? Which was number four,
back off boogloo, which what the heck does that mean?
That was number nine? He had two number ones. Photograph
in your sixteen yere beautiful in your Mind, which is
(31:54):
really creepy, ry oh my my was a hit. Number five,
Only You was number six, and the No No song
was number five. I don't smoke it no more. I'm
tired of waking up on the floor. Yeah, Photograph is
a great song, but it Don't Come Easy was good.
The rest of them what the heck?
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Yeah? And that one was a was a cover tinge?
Speaker 4 (32:19):
Yeah, only You? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was surprised that
because I only remembered three. But yeah, seven top ten singles.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
I know all those songs. I just can't believe their
top tens.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
Well, did people really miss a terrible song? Yeah? I know,
but yeah goes back to.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
You, Dan, all right, I got two more here. What
of these bands have in common? Besides Andy probably doesn't
know any of them? Well, no, you do us foreigner,
King Cobra, and wild horses.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
I'm trying to think what they haven't come all had
drummer die?
Speaker 3 (33:03):
No, but Montre, I don't know if you can name
the drummer foreigner.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
I couldn't name the drummer foreigner. Now you said I
couldn't because he died. All right, so you said Montrose,
King Cobra, foreigner, and who else?
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Wild horses?
Speaker 4 (33:24):
Wild horses? Oh my god, I'm gonna say James Kotac
played in all of them.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
No, no, not far off. But that is incorrect. Okay,
the answer is singer Johnny Edwards.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
Oh that's right. Yeah, that was a tough one.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yeah, great singer though, man listening to the stuff with
King Cobra.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
Right, okay, anyways, all right, I think.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
We have gotten zero points or maybe only three points.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
All right, so it's it's me the rest of the way,
because I was okay, back to me, all right, here
we go, Okay, I have to all right, who sings
lead vocals on the forty nine second stick song called
Bourgeois Pig. The guy's an actor. He's not in the band.
(34:20):
He sings lead vocals on his stick song. Ah God,
I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna give you four actors.
Is that Brad Pitt, Billy, Bob Thornton. What's the guy
who played Spider Man? I'm sitting Robert, Robert de Niro
or Toby Toby, Toby maguire. Okay, which word those four?
(34:44):
You'd be correct? Bourgeois pig gone too far. He's in
that show called land Man now, which is awesome.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
His last one about he was a lawyer.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
That was a great show too.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Oh, I forgot the name of the show. It was fantastic.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Yeah, he's He's good in everything, but land Man. All
those Taylor Sheridan shows, I watch every one of them, Yellowstone,
land Man, Mayor of was it Mary? That one?
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (35:18):
Tulsa King?
Speaker 3 (35:19):
The people that did Mary Eastown have done a new
one called Crap.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
That's a terrible name for a show.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Really bad name of the show. No tasks like task Force.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Okay, I've seen all right, Danny's recommending task Okay, if
it sucks, send all your hate mail to Dan.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yep, yep. I will actually enjoy getting male in my
mailbox instead of my father in law. He gets way
more male than either me or my wife. Yeah, because
Jana Dana changed his home address to US young address.
We get two or three things for him a day,
(36:04):
and I get one every three days.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Yeah. My parents passed away in twenty twenty one, in
twenty twenty three, I still get mail. That's crazy. I'll
write them no longer with us, and I still get
stuff anyway.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
You who has played guitar for Deep Purple on official
studio releases? And there are four of them?
Speaker 4 (36:33):
All right, we'll let Annie get one of them.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
Nope, big one for Rank for Deep Purple?
Speaker 4 (36:40):
All right? It rise with Ditchie catmore clue for me.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
No, that's Lichy Black.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
All right. Bank one would be Steve Howe, right, Steve Morris,
Steve Morris, Yes, I know, I screwed up. And the
new guy I don't even know his damn name. Uh oh,
Tommy Bowling and the new guy I don't know his name.
(37:18):
So we we tanked on.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
That, Simon, we're idiots, okay, all right? Richard that band
and then he went off into Rainbow and now he's
doing Blackmore's Night, which is kind of a folk polky
kind of acoustic thing he does with Canvas Night. I've
only heard a couple of songs and thought, I don't
(37:40):
need to hear that again.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
It's renaissance music. If you can believe that. He went
from a heavy metal band to renaissance music and they've
been doing it. It's called Blackmore's Night. It's been around forever,
so if you're into that kind of thing, So for.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Man on the Silver Mountain to Blackmore's.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Night, Yeah, not the same, all right. In the late
seventies early eighties, there was a famous la club called
the star Wood, and it closed down because they were
serving alcohol to minors. Can you tell me the last
band that played the star Wood? And I'll give you
four bands, and he gets the first choice, all right?
(38:18):
Was it? There was nineteen eighty? So most of these
are punk bands? All right? Was it Fear, the Germs,
the Circle Jerks or the go Gos? Who is the
last band to play the star Wood? All right? She
says Fear? All right? And Fear also played on Saturday
Night Live and they played once in their band forever.
(38:40):
All right, Danny, your choice.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
I won't say I'm gonna, says the Circle Jerks.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Both of you are incorrect, all right, So we're down
to either you got your choices? Are the Germs or
the Go Gos in each choice, the Germs. Okay, so, Danny,
what do you think the Germs are the Go Gos?
Speaker 3 (39:05):
I gotta pick the Go Gos just so one of
us is right.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Annie is correct. It was the Germs. Bonus bonus question.
There's a guitar player who played with The Germs who
joined a very famous grunge band and is now currently
in a huge alternative act that plays stadiums around the world.
Any any idea same band.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
I'm gonna say that Patrick dude, I don't know his
last name.
Speaker 4 (39:37):
Pat Smear, who was in Nirvana and the Foo Fighters,
was in the Germs. That's why they all loved him.
They were big fans. I couldn't name one Germ song,
but anyway, that's the last. Yeah. People say, oh, Pat
Smir from the Germs is join in Nirvana. I'm like, yeah,
first time I like were the Germs. I guess a
(39:58):
lot of people know The Go Gos a punk band,
total punk band, and then they one of the girls
wrote a pop song and that's why they got famous
because they used to have short hair, they used to
have the whole thing. Yeah, they were complete opposite. If
you were. What's the Go Gos documentary. It's awesome because
it goes through that whole thing and it shows footage
(40:21):
of what they were really like. They were horn dogs
and there's nothing wrong with that. Danny and I support
that unless they're our daughters. And then no, all right,
you have any more questions me? All right? Here we go.
See yeah, see if you have a chance at eighties? Okay,
(40:45):
here we go. All right? What band was Jakie Lee
in when he got the Aussie gig? Your choices are
rough Cut, rat Excider or Striper? All right, Danny? Oh, incorrect?
He was in rough Cut. And I got that because
(41:06):
they just did a big interview Chris Jericho, the wrestler
and the lead singer. Fozzi has a podcast and he
does like an hour and fifteen minutes with Jake on video.
He can watch on YouTube and he goes deep into everything,
especially when he got hot, he got hired. It's awesome
watch the whole thing and he goes My other question
(41:28):
is also about that, but I want to ask that question.
When he was getting the gig, Mitch Perry was up
for it, Jake was up for it, and the other
guy who was up for it. I've mentioned earlier he
was actually shadowing Brad Gillis on tour, but when Jake auditioned,
Jake got the gig and they told the other guy
who had been shadowing Brad Gillis to hit the bricks.
(41:51):
That was George Lynch. And George Lynch is a big
deal in rock and roll. He actually lives out here.
That's the longest rapid we've ever done. We've done forty
six minutes of rapid fire. People. I hope you're freaking happy.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
You need to play in there.
Speaker 4 (42:09):
Yeah, so we're gonna go. We're gonna go a quick
commercial break and be back with a quick show review
because I'm.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
Because he can't help himself, I can't. All right, Welcome back, everybody.
We were supposed to record the show last night, but
Mark couldn't make it because he went to see a
show that turned out to be pretty amazing.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Yeah, I wasn't Mark. I went to this thing called
the Love Ride thirty four. It's a thing where the'se
US sponsored by Harley Davidson and it's a charity event
for our wounded warriors. So what they do is they
get all these people on motorcycles from Glendale, which is
about thirty miles from the here, and they'll ride all
the way to past take Lake, which is about ten
(42:53):
minutes from my house. They bring all their Harley Davidson's
and pay your money. I got paid fifty bucks and
it's a tax ride up. So it was pretty cool.
But the reason why I'm tired is yesterday was eighty
five degrees and no clouds in the sky whatsoever and
not it's a lot not a lot of trees. So
(43:13):
they parked us about a mile from where we were going,
so wad to walk uphill and you know, I'm not
a not a young guy, so was uphill both ways
in the snow. Yeah. Yeah. So the two bands that
I was going to see, the first one is called
(43:34):
Chevy Metal, and Chevy Metal was it's a tribute band
started by Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters. It's a
three piece band. It's also got this guy named Wylie
Hodgson and on base and Brent Woods who's played with Wildside,
John Waite, Sebastian Bach and the Gene Simmons band. So
it's a three piece band. They play covers and that's
(43:57):
what they did for years and when Taylor Hawkins passed away.
His son, Shane Hawkins, took over fro him when he
was like sixteen years old. I think Shane's now he's
already nineteen. So three piece band plays a bunch of covers. Okay,
we'll go check that out.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
Jane's good too.
Speaker 4 (44:16):
Oh my, So this kid's nineteen. So they come out
always you probably know most of these songs. They come
out and play My Sharona. Within the first ten seconds,
Shane breaks two sticks. Yeah, he looks like an animal
from the Muppets. Hits hits hard as all get out.
(44:38):
It's pretty amazing. Then they jump and Ain't Talking About
Love by Van Halen. Then they go Psycho Killer by
the Talking Heads, which I'm not a Talking Heads fan,
but I love that song. It's awesome. Then since Shane's
a drummer, they played Moby Dick by led Zeppelin. Pretty impressive.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
Then the first guest comes out. Ricky Rocket from Poison
runs out there. So also he lives in Then he
lives in the area, so he comes out. They do
miss You by the Stones and uh, you May be
Right by Billy Joel. Kind of interesting. So he comes out,
(45:18):
So listen to this transition. Yeah, it's a great song.
So they did the Billy Joel song. Next guest comes out.
It's Scott Ian from Anthrax. They play The Wizard by
the Wizard by Black Sabbath. So he went from Billy
Joel the Black Sabbath. And then the next song, Jesse
James Dupree from Jackal sings lead vocals. They change drummers.
(45:41):
It's scott Ian's fourteen year old son. I think his
name is Rebel, and Rebel can play, and they do
Sweet Leaf by Black Sabbath. A fourteen year old.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Is that Meatloaf's grandson.
Speaker 4 (45:56):
Yes, he loves grandson plays that. Did you know that?
Speaker 3 (46:01):
And Ian is married to Meet Looaf's daughter.
Speaker 4 (46:05):
Yeah, and she she can sing cause I saw when
I saw Meatload life she was singing backing vocals and
she's amazing singer.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Her first name is Pimento.
Speaker 4 (46:19):
No, that's a joke, Meatloaf, pimental Loaf, No, that's not
her name.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
Wow, stuff, I believed it.
Speaker 4 (46:29):
Yeah, you were right. I thought maybe that's a carryover
joke from when you guys were telling those jokes in
the car the other day. They're knock knock jokes. But okay,
I digress. Oh so. So after that more guests show up.
Here comes Gilby Clark from Guns N' Roses and Sean McNabb,
who's played with every band on bass. So and then
(46:49):
they did Tie Your Mother Down. Then they did a song.
I had no idea what it was. Then they break into.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Jail Break, then Lizzie ooh nice.
Speaker 4 (47:00):
And I just the attendance was there was probably I
would say at the beginning of this thing. This thing
went all day. Chevy Metal went on about twelve thirty
and the things started at nine am. I would say
there's probably about fifteen thousand people here in this park
to start with. Throughout the day, it got a lot less.
(47:21):
Then they did You Really Got Me by the Kinks.
Two guys got on stage. I had no idea they
were youngsters. I had no idea who they were. Then
the grand finale of Chevy Metal, Robbie Krieger from the
Doors came out. He's in his eighties and I've seen
I've seen him before. He's an old guy. The only
(47:41):
knock against Robbi Krieger was he was wearing a Dodger's jersey.
Then anyway, they played Roadhouse Blues, Cool the last song
was La Woman, brought out another hard hitting drummer, Kenny Arnoff,
who's man from John Cougar, Mellencamp, Sammy Hagar. And they
(48:04):
say Kenny Aronoff has played on more number one albums
than any other drummer in history. I mean, wow, he's amazing.
I mean, hits hard as hell. So he got Shane
who hits hard. You got Kenny Aaron also. That was
just chevy metal. Then there was a break, thank god.
I gotta sit down for about an hour until the
(48:25):
Jean Simmons band came up, and my knees were killing me,
and it was eighty five degrees and I don't drink
beer because they're mostly selling beer at this place, so
I had to get these cans of water. So it's
kind of weird. A black can of water cost me
six dollars. But now I wasn't liqud with death, but
it was something else, some other, but it was water,
(48:47):
and I paid six dollars for water, and I was
happy to get it.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
All right.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
So after that, the main attraction was the Gene Simmons band.
Jay Lenno was supposed to be the guy, you know,
the whoever see but he was. It was ended up
being Robert Patrick. You know Robert Patrick is by any chance, Annie,
do you ever see Terminator Terminator two? Do you see
(49:12):
Terminator two? Do you see Terminator one? All right? So
he was the coppin Terminator two where he turns into liquid. Okay,
he is now in the TV. You watch Tulsa King, Yeah,
I did watch that. He's the bad guy this season. Okay, well,
(49:33):
then the late sees. Okay, do you watch Peacemaker? Nope,
he's the he's the racist dad and Peacemaker. But if
you look up Robert Patrick you might see him. He's
a character actor, very very cool guy, was talking to everybody.
So he was the MC. All right. Jean Simmons band,
it's Jane, of course. I saw. His wife was there,
(49:54):
his kids were there. His daughter is a singer in Europe.
His son is six foot eight. Can't miss him. And
uh his band also has Brenton Woods in it, who
played with We mentioned Brent Woods was also in Chevy Metal.
He's in Jeans band. The drummer is a guy named
Brian Tishy, and he knows who Brian Tishy is with everybody. Yeah,
(50:15):
listen to this foreigner white Snake Dead Days is Billy
I had, I'll Snap Slash a snake pit, Gilby Clark,
Pride and Glory, Velvet Revolver, Lynch Mob, and a boatload
of others. It's funny with Brian Tishy. I was once
My wife was in the emergency room one time where
she had a migrain headache and she was feeling awful,
and Brian Tishy was there being he was a bike rider.
(50:38):
He fell out on his bike. We were in the emergency
room at the same time. That's my brush with greatness
with Brian Tishy.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
So they had some stop with Brian Tishy and make
me feel better.
Speaker 4 (50:53):
Okay, got it all right. Songs Jeans Jean played. He
played Deuce Shout out Loud, here's when he doesn't normally
play Charisma from Dynasty. That was pretty cool. The colisma. Yeah,
that's Danny and our childhood.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
We like that stuff.
Speaker 4 (51:12):
He played a song that was an unreleased Kiss song
called are You Ready, which was kind of deep. Then
he played Brian Brian sing lead vocals. They played as
splas Ace of Spades by Motorhead with Brian singing. That
was interesting. That was not so And here's even a
deeper cut. They played an because Gene told the story
(51:33):
how he produced the demo that van Halen made. They
did fifteen songs and goes, here's the only song that
van Halen didn't record, and we're gonna play it for
you now. It was a song called House of Pain.
The demo version. I know, didn't van Halen do a
song called house of Pain? But yeah, right, but the
demo original House of Pain song is a different song,
(51:56):
and that's the one Gene Simmons band played, so that
was kind of interesting. Now, then they bring him a
lot of people have left already. I think it was
just a long day. I would say that there was
probably about four hundred people left. So they bring a
bunch of kids on stage and they did I Love
It Loud, which is kind of nice. And there was
this one little kid standing right next the Gene. You're
(52:17):
supposed to sing the that's everybody's supposed to sing. There
was a one kid standing next to Gene. He must
have been eight. He sang every lyric to that song
with Gene. I thought that was pretty cool. He was
into it was like sing every lyric it was. It
was awesome And if you go on YouTube and put
(52:38):
in Love Ride thirty four Jean Sammons band. A lot
of the stuff you can see there, and a lot
of stuff we're talking about now you can see on YouTube.
After that, Gene talked about Ace, who passed away what
two weeks ago, and I think this man made one
of the first one or two shows after that. He
was visibly upset, choking, could barely talk. He had wiping
(53:02):
his eyes, telling the a story about this is a
guy I know for forty years. So that was kind
of touching that he talked about that and he got
all broken up about it. He goes, yeah, this is
the first song that eight Ace wrote, brought into the
band Kiss. So they played what song Danny first? A
song correct cold, So they played that, but even at
the end of the song, he's wiping his eyes and
(53:24):
you know, all misty, you know, kind of tough.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
Has had at least fifty years that they'd known, Yeah,
mean mid seventies.
Speaker 4 (53:32):
Yeah, seventy three, and so the man probably got together
in seventy three. Is here's a guy you've known your
whole life.
Speaker 3 (53:37):
And fifty two years.
Speaker 4 (53:39):
Yeah, kind of rough. You could see it was. It
was bugged him. He also throughout that he introduced his
kids and his family too. They were all there. We
saw them.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Were all those kids that were singing the song? Were
they Jeans kids?
Speaker 4 (53:53):
Also, No, because Jean's kids are all adults, so these
are just kids in the crowd. They just pulled kids
in the crowd. One of the kids was scott Ian's son.
They brought him up, but scott Ian's kid didn't know
the song at all, so he goes, I don't know
this song, so he did even he lasted like and
they about to start the song. He left because he
(54:15):
just didn't know the song. It's kind of embarrassing for
the kid. He's fourteen. So anyway, last two songs was
the big surprise. They brought out Tommy Theater, which is
really not a big He's the Kiss guitarist there, Annie
and Eric singer from Kiss, so they had three fourths
of Kiss on the stage. They played an old song
(54:36):
called let Me Go rock and Roll, which was really cool.
So you can see that. I posted that on Instagram.
So here's a plug for Instagram. If you look up
hard Rock and Trivia Show on Instagram or x. I
posted that that induce last song was of course rock
and roll all night and Rob, oh that's Annie doing.
(54:59):
Now what is that all about? Somebody's starting to get
her attention? So it's okay. Robert Patrick got up and asked,
is there any vets out there who want to come
up and help us sing with this? Now, the last
time I did this on camera, my daughter's over there
told me, Dad, you're embarrassing me. I don't want to
(55:20):
I don't want you to do this. So since I
was so and Robert Patrick looked right at me, and
there are any vets there? If I wasn't tired, I
would have waved my hat and went up their state
and sung. I was so damn tired. I didn't want
to walk up on stage and two times so ims
I was dude, I was tired.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
I was an idiot kid.
Speaker 4 (55:42):
I was thinking of my daughter, who would be embarrassed
every time I show her video. Oh here's me at
the Marvelous three show. Oh here's me singing with the winger. Dad,
you're embarrassing me. Typical eighteen year old girl. So she's
just embarrassed that my wife and I I didn't do it.
Speaker 3 (56:03):
Because with Gene Simmons of kiss, not another Gene Simmons.
But Gene Simmons from Kiss, your all time favorite band,
you did not get up on stage.
Speaker 4 (56:13):
I was tired, I'm old, and I didn't want to
embarrass my daughter. Yeah. I will probably regret it till
I die. Oh yeah, but knowing me, I would show
hey here's me.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
On stage with kids, my dad embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (56:34):
Yes, I didn't.
Speaker 3 (56:35):
I would have. I would have played into that.
Speaker 4 (56:38):
Yeah I should have, but I think I.
Speaker 3 (56:40):
Don't think any live ever really telling me that embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (56:44):
Oh I'm embarrassing.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (56:47):
Then there have been plenty of opportunities, you know, with
all the all the bands have been in.
Speaker 4 (56:53):
I don't know what it is. But again, my legs
were killing me and I was parched, so I think
if I would it would have been indoors. I would
have done it in a heartbeat. So a bunch of guys
got up on stage. You can also see that they
did rock and roll night like high tailing out of there.
So overall, great experience, a lot of fun. But you
(57:16):
can see it on YouTube. So that's what the old
man did out there. So that's my review of the
Love Ride loved.
Speaker 3 (57:26):
I'm glad it was a rock show, like probably Davidson
rock show, not something else.
Speaker 4 (57:32):
It was a lot of fun. So yeah, go check
it out. Yeah, I'm going to a show on Wednesday.
I'm going to see The Darkness.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Oh nice.
Speaker 4 (57:40):
Yeah, that's gonna be fun.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
And in the following their first song, I thought, I
don't know, but then you know, just that falsetto stuff.
But the rest of their music.
Speaker 4 (57:52):
Is Annie, have you ever heard of The Darkness? No,
they're a newer band. They came out about fifteen twenty
years ago. You gotta play that for She's not even
gonna believe it. I believe in a thing called love.
Just listen to the rhythm of a hawk. Yeah, it's
(58:12):
really silly.
Speaker 5 (58:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (58:15):
So yeah, Justin Hawkins has got this ridiculous false settle.
They can even go into it does an occasion, not
every song, but people thought they were a joke at first,
but they've been around forever and they're really supposed to
be good live. So I'm going by myself, And then
the following week I'm going to see a bunch of
old old ladies. Heart's all. That'd be fun. Danny got
(58:38):
any shows coming up?
Speaker 3 (58:39):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (58:40):
By the way, Annie I told Danny to take you
to go see Marvelous three in New York, and he
just couldn't do it.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
If I had said, Hey, Anny, let's go see Marvelous
three in New York on a Sunday night, you would
have laughed in my face and said, Dad, you're so
embarrassing by are you even asking me?
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Would not have said you were ears said, Dad, you
know that that could happened?
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Okay, Well, okay, I thought maybe it was a shot.
Oh what what? Okay? What if? What if? Hey? Annie?
You want to go see the Beatles are reuniting somehow
They've resurrected John and George in New York on a
on a school night. Do you want to go? I
got front row tickets? Would you go? Okay?
Speaker 3 (59:24):
There is a show I was going to ask if
you want to go to a Beatles tribute called Rain.
They're doing like a Beatles Christmas the Friday. It's the
Friday after Thanksgiving, and I can get free tickets if
you want.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
We're going on a train ride on holiday train ride.
Speaker 3 (59:45):
Oh on a Friday night night.
Speaker 4 (59:50):
Yeah? All right, say dad.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Danny, Well, I'm seeing that and I'm seeing Jake Shimoakuru.
Do you know him?
Speaker 4 (59:58):
Yeah, you told me about him.
Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
Ukulele freaking phenomenal. Okay, yeah, I want to see uh hell,
And I'm going to the Grand Gala. Who Bruce Hornsby
is playing.
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
Uh hey, he's a talented guy with.
Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
Bruce warns me with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra.
Speaker 4 (01:00:21):
Okay, I'm not into him, but talented talented guy for sure. Yeah.
When you're when your kids get a little older, you
gotta start going going out to the concerts with the
old man over here because we're not gonna We're not
gonna be around forever.
Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
Now. I am going to see Kansas. They're coming to
the Grand Kansas is great. I've never seen Kansas, so
that'll be a good one.
Speaker 4 (01:00:44):
Okay, that's cool. Any any shows.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
Charlotte has a chorus concert in December.
Speaker 4 (01:00:52):
Danny Danny will be there, you will.
Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
She has a solo all right. I'm I'm also going
to see Billy Gibbons.
Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
Oh that's gonna be cool.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
Annie. You know who he is. He's a guitar player
from zz Top. He's got he's got a solo band
he's touring around with. I don't know what the hell
is going to be different than zz Top.
Speaker 4 (01:01:14):
But maybe he won't. Maybe play more more covers and
stuff like that. Old blues players.
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
And in walk Trump seeing Jimmy Webb, who is a
unbelievable music like composer.
Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
I've heard, I've heard the name. He goes back decades.
Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Oh yeah, yeah, always back like seventies.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
Okay, huh yeah, I think we thought he went back
to the fifties.
Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
No, he might. I don't know if he's that old.
But yeah, he was the most to do a show
about a month ago and he canceled it moved into March.
Speaker 4 (01:01:50):
Okay, all right, I think I think we can wrap
this up. We've been going at this for over an hour.
Hopefully the people out there enjoyed the boatload of questions
we gave them, so hope. So any any final thoughts, Annie.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
No, thanks for having me.
Speaker 4 (01:02:09):
Oh you're welcome.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
See to my comments that I was called out for that,
I was speaking more to the larger population, not just
you guys that you know. I think younger bands need
to be given a chance so that we're not wheeling
guys in their eighties and nineties out onto stage when
they should be allowed to just go retire, and we
(01:02:31):
can recycle the fandom to people who can, you know,
stay awake.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Long enough on their own power.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Yes to a track and play not to a track.
Speaker 4 (01:02:44):
You know, Hey, old guys, she's talking to you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Give the younger bands a chance.
Speaker 4 (01:02:49):
Okay, all right, on that note to.
Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
See Kansas and Jimmy Webb.
Speaker 4 (01:02:55):
Okay, all right out. No good night people,
