and now it's time for a little rapid fire. Are
you ready, sir?
Speaker 6 (01:39):
Oh yeah, Danny.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Question number one. I'm gonna give you some information on
a band, and you tell me who the band is.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
This band was formed in New Orleans in nineteen eighty three,
caught the attention of Rat's management in eighty seven, which
led to a deal on MCA, and Robin Crosby from
RAT produced their first album.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Who is this band from New Orleans? Are they still
around today?
Speaker 5 (02:22):
They are, but like like with one original member, but
they still tour and I think they played around your
area in the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
But there they were never a big band. I'm trying
to think of bands from New Orleans and I'm coming
up completely black. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
Okay, band was Lillian acts oh Man, okay, and the
other band from New Orleans would be Zebra.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Yeah. I like Lilian Axe. Their their debut album I
thought was really good.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
Yeah, they still around. They play the clubs. I don't
think they draw too well, but they're they're scraping by.
I think Steve Blaze is the only original guy that's
a band that should play M three.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
One of these days, they should definitely. Okay, here's my
first question for you. Now this is a tough one. Okay,
all right, you know who David Glenn Eisley is correct? Yes,
he was a singer in House of Lords or Jaffria
Jeffrey Sarah Geafria. He has an actress daughter named India
Isley that is most known for being on what television show? Oh?
Speaker 5 (03:23):
I knew he had a daughter who was an actress,
but I couldn't tell you.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I could. I'm gonna tak a Gilmore Girls. Oh close,
not even h secret Life of the American Teenager. Never
heard of it? Oh yeah we Uh my daughter watched
it for a while and I think she just kind
of stopped being a teenager, so she's stop watching it.
But yeah, his daughter is beautiful. Okay, India Isley. There
(03:48):
you go. Wow, good question. Didn't have a clue on Yep,
there you go. Okay. Question two for you. Rush only
has one top forty single that made the US charts
in nineteen eighty two. What was the song? I'm gonna
say Spirit of Radio? Was it Redbird? Let's try again?
(04:15):
Why why is he? Oh? What New World Man?
Speaker 5 (04:24):
What only you writ song that made the top forty,
top top forty.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
The only one. I figured you'd say Tom Sawyer or Limelight.
No man, I was thinking Moving Pictures. But that's before then.
You know. New World Man is right after that one. Yep,
it's the next album. Oh man, all right, good question,
(04:51):
thank you? Okay. Question number two? What is Michael Anthony's
real last name?
Speaker 5 (04:59):
Oh, Michael Anthony van Halen. Uh No, that is incorrect, Carron,
he wishes Michael Anthony Hagar wrong again, damn it, I
(05:22):
don't know. It is Soba Luski, Michael Soba Luski. That's
a nice Polish name. Yeah, s O B O l
A w Ski. Oh wow, there you Danny. I am
oh for to today. Oh for two. There you go.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Damn it.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
You weren't kids. Here's a tough fallers. Question number three.
You might get this if you've been reading the internet
over the last twenty years. All right, all right, what
seventies hard rock band out of Jacksonville, Florida reformed in
the year twenty well with no original members and all
(06:03):
new members.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Holy Moly out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Yep, it's a band you've seen live and they reformed
with all new members. It's not skinnered. Oh man, you're
in the You're in the ballpark big time.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I'm gonna say Molly Hatchett Blackfoot black Oh I knew that,
but no original members.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
Yeah, Ricky Medlock put a band together, called them Blackfoot
and sent them on the road. All guys, do you
believe that? Are there any Indians in the band? No?
I don't think so. That bunch of craft. Oh man,
here play a bunch of Blackfoot songs. You guys there
(07:02):
are you? Four guys are now Blackfoot? Go out there?
So the other three guys form their own band. I
don't know the name of that band, but white Stupid, White,
White Finger.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
All right then, okay, I'm ready for your third super
ultra hard question.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, this one's not too easy either. What two songs
were recorded by planet Us? You're aware of that band, right, Yeah,
that's what the Yeah, Sammy Hagar Neil Sean? All right?
What two songs were recorded by planet Us but weren't
released until Neil Sean released them as Soul Circus.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Oh well, I have the Soul Circus album and I
think I've listened to it maybe five times, and I
couldn't name one song on that album, so my guesses
were going to be happy Birthday and joy to the world.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
That is incorrect, damn it. You were close though, very
Oh okay, what were they? Psycho Vertigo? It's kind of
like happy Birthday? Okay and Peep Pole Pee Pole. Okay.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Well, Danny, I think this is the first time in
the history of the show. I went, oh for three
rapid Well, welcome to my world. Okay, it's dark and lonely. Hello, Hello,
those are some freaking hard questions.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
What's about. It's about time I stumped you. I was thinking,
I gotta get some good songs. Good.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
I wonder if there's people around the country cheering now
that I got.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
You want up me?
Speaker 5 (08:44):
It's like guys running around like they want like one
national championship game.
Speaker 7 (08:49):
Danny got him over three. Yeah, that's whole Yeah the
jerk off? Oh yeah, probably not all right? So now
we got to pick a song to play. Do you
want to go back to Lily and As, Do you
want to play some Blackfoot? Do you want to play
a soul circus? Let's do something from Blackfoot off. I
(09:09):
don't know, how about.
Speaker 5 (09:11):
Dry County, Dry County Okay, let's play Dry County on
the Hard Rocking Trivia Show.
Speaker 8 (09:35):

Speaker 5 (10:18):
All right, here we are again with cover this where
I play you guys out there and Danny a cover
song of pretty famous I think these are pretty famous
song this one is anyway, And see if you know
who's doing the cover? All right, Danny, go ahead?
Speaker 1 (10:53):
All right? So who is the original artist? Okay, that
is definitely called jin By Kiss. Correct? Now who's doing
the cover? H It sounds really familiar. I need a hint.
I think it's an eighties bandes correct band? Correct again,
(11:14):
I'm gonna say, La Guns, you are correct. I was
trying to go between them uh, and I can't. The
only reason it was either them or some other band
that I can't put my name on or my finger on.
Now now I'm shocked.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
I'm shocked that you got that because the guy actually
singing lead vocals on that is Ralph Sands. You're Ralph Sands.
He's the lead singer of Steve Panther right now?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Oh really? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:43):
He was in La Guns for an ep wow, and
I actually saw them live and he and he's also
the lead singer of the Van Halen's tribute band Atomic Punks.
So when he joined La Guns, he's sounded like David
Lee Roth fronting La Guns and it didn't work. But
they did that cover of Cold Gin Wow. Well it's
(12:05):
like home Run for you.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
And that was a total guest too, because I'm just
thinking that based on the guitar tone. Wow. All right,
Danny pull Home Run out of the park winner winning. Okay.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
If you enjoy the Hard Rocking Trivia Show, you can

Speaker 5 (12:37):
Now it's time for another edition of Who the Hell
Is this where you have to guess the name of
the song based by little ten second clips of each
song and.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Danny, are you ready for this? I hope so? All right.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
First one, I'll give you a little hint. It's a
Canadian bill. It's a Canadian band, all right? Play track one?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Well off the first clamp. I have no clue. I'm
gonna guess autograph U No, not a Canadian band, all right.
I'll give you another hint. This song came out in
nineteen eighty four and it was a video. All right, Wow,
(13:40):
it's not April Wine. Nope, I still don't know. I
take a guess. Think of a Canadian band. Oh, let's
see Cony Hatch.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Not a bad guess, all right. Another hint as this
band had a couple of brothers in it and the
lead singer are always sang with no.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Shoes or socks on. I don't know that helps you
at all. Not a bit. Okay, go ahead, play track three.
Speaker 6 (14:08):
Let's go you can see it show I want to hear.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Still no clue, all right? He gets chili wack, chili wack.
All right?
Speaker 5 (14:29):
The final clue A half for a year. The album
cover had a picture of a Robot on it.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
All right, let's let's clip four. I've got no clue.
I've never heard that song before. Okay, the name of
the band was kick Acts. The name of the song
(14:56):
is on the Road to rock Man. No. No, the
only kick Axe album I remember. The cover two is it?
Does it have a vice on it? Yeah, it's called Vices.
This song is on it, along with the heavy metal
shuffle awesome.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
So all right, then question number one? Who has played
guitar in Docin since their US debut album? And you
don't count Don Dawkins. So all the guys after Don Dawkins,
(15:39):
Oh geez, I got four of them.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Oh well, obviously George Lynch one. He's the only one
I know that. I haven't been a Docking fan since
those first two albums.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
The other guys Red Beach all right, played on Erase
the Slate, John Levin, who's in the band now, and
John Norm played with them live. I saw them at
the House of Blues in Hollywood. So those are the
full guys I got. So John Norm never recorded with him. No,
he was on the Don Dawkin solo album and he
did play with the band doc and live. I remember
(16:19):
the guys in the Some of the guys in the
audience are.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Like, where the hell's leg? Who is this guy? Oh?
Speaker 5 (16:25):
They're all angry and mad. But John norm is an
awesome guitar player too, So screw those guys.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
All right, here's my question number one. Okay, the hard
Ones what Big four thrash band songs? May riff is
based on the popular Jewish Jewish song Hava Nagila? Oh God,
my guess is the band Anthrax? Yep?
Speaker 5 (16:54):
Okay, this song, I'm gonna this is a total shot
in the dark. I'm gonna guess gung ho. Nope, that
is it because I'm the man, I'm the man. Okay, Yeah,
I should have got that, darn it. Good question.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Yeah that was brought by my friend Jamie that listens
to the show. Oh, my Jewish friends are gonna be
very disappointed.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
Yeah, oh I show all right. Question number two. In
nineteen eighty six, who replaced vocalist Jeff Scott Soto in
Ing Day Mounts Team's.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Band Heaves Band? And I'll give you a hint, he's
now the bass player in Docin Brushed Up on your Dock?
And yeah, really what it was like Docin Day or something. Hey,
I heard a docking podcast and I get all these questions.
Oh man, no idea. Ah, okay. The guy's name was
(17:53):
Mark Bowles, Mark Bowles, I know that name.
Speaker 5 (17:57):
Yeah, he was in I See the Light tonight. He's
in the video. But it's actually Jeff Scott Soto's voice.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yeah. It was Jeff Scott Soda singing when we saw
or No. That was in Lemore. It was the guy
that could play all that ingrave stuff. Yeah, but that
was Jeff Gott Soda sing in that band. That was great,
all right. Question number two? All right, who produced Rat's
first few albums along with Stephen Parrisy's new album. My
guess would be Bo Hill. That's correct.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
Yes, yeah, I'm not I'm not looking forward to the
Stephen Piercy solo stuff at all.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
No, the song I heard the other day was not good.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Yeah, he's okay in Rat, but anything else he was
Arcade was cool too, But the solo stuff I just
have zero interesting. Yeah, okay, good question all right. Question
number three, which I think you might get this, all right,
I'll test. Let's see if you're how good your memory is.
What Canadian band has the most us top forty singles,
(18:59):
and I'm gonna give you three bands. First one will
be April Wine, Triumph or Bachmann Turner Overdrive. Most US
singles in the top forty.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Gotta be bto They had seven. Yeah, they they had
some big hits. A lot of people forget about them.
April Wine only had three, Triumph only had one. That's
not surprising. You ain't seen nothing yet. Taking care of business,
Let it ride, roll on down the highway. Hey you
(19:29):
good tunes? Oh yeah, I love hey you. That's a
great song, saying your band should be playing that one.
Oh we do the taking care of business? Everybody does that, right?
I hate playing Oh sorry, come man? All right. My
last question for you. Where did def Leppard get the
Sparkle Lounge album named from? Oh boy, I think they
(19:54):
got the idea from. They called their backstage area the
Sparkle Lounge. You're close. It's okay, it is the backstage area,
but it was specifically theirs, their mobile studio that they had.
They called that the Sparkle Lounge, and that's where they
recorded most of the album before they even got in
the studio.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
Okay, it's like a half Yeah, you're you get a
half point. So I got one and a half your questions.
That's not bad, not bad?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
All right? Hey, since we were talking about some how
about we play some bt O.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
All right, let's play Hey You, Hey you on the
Hard Rocking Trivia Show. Alright, once again, Kitty, It's time
(21:00):
for a little intellectual poetry where I read the lyrics
to a song good or bad, and you guys out there,
and Danny has to try to see if he knows
what song it is.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Danny, are you ready? Yes, sir?
Speaker 5 (21:13):
Okay, here we go. Wake up, baby? What are you
in for? Start the day upon your knees? What you
pissing in the wind for?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
You got?
Speaker 5 (21:22):
You must must have snorted too much? Bleeze, East House, Pinball, Wizard,
Full Tilt Bozo played second Floor Trekkie making warp speed
out the door. It's just a stupid This is some
dumb lyrics making warp speed out the door. Julio Apopolucci,
(21:45):
who's the.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
One who stayed count up the days? Please? No more?
Any clue? Good lord? What was that Middle Park? I
have no idea you would think of those be memorable?
And the song we like is it White Snake?
Speaker 9 (22:05):
Ah?
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Okay, I'll try this another verse here, Hey Betty boop,
you got me drooling. I'm buzzing around your hive tonight.
You played the hookies instead of schooling, son of a bitch.
Put out the light, thirteen year old hookers. Drag yourself
right through the thorns. You wonder why the man outside
The man's outside your door? Any clue?
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Wow? Is it crocus?
Speaker 9 (22:32):
Ah?
Speaker 5 (22:36):
You always gets crooked? No, all right, I'll give the
free chorus again, and then the chorus. Okay, House Pinball
Wizard full tilt Bozo played second floor Trekky's making warp
speed out the door. Julio a Aapalucchi. He's the only
(22:57):
one that stayed. I'm counting up the days. Please now
more my fist your face that's for.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Oh, you gotta be kidding me.
Speaker 9 (23:07):
Aerosmith O man, why does her heart read? I don't
think that East House Pinball Wizard full two full Tilbosal
paid second floor Tricky making warspeed out the door. See yeah,
that's better when he sings it, but when you read it, like, what.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
The hell is this guy talking about? Oh? Man? Wow,
what's a song too? Oh? And another great song? Lyrics
that you don't have any idea. What he's saying.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
All right, let's play Aerosmiths, My fist, your face here
on the Hard Rocking Trivia Show.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
If you enjoy The Hard Rocking Trivia Show, you can
go to Sprinker dot com and sign up for free
to follow the show. All past episodes can also be
streamed or down unloaded at spreaker dot com.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
Okay, kitties, it's time for Top three Bottom three, and
we've revised the way we've done this based on postings
on Metal Sludge and sleeves Rocks dot com, where I
usually post links to the show, and we used to
do like three albums, four albums, whatever, and then do
a top three bottom three, but it seems like everybody
posting would do it by individual albums. So I figured, hey,
(24:40):
these guys had a pretty good idea, so why don't
we do the same thing. So we're gonna start doing
that right there with this episode, and this first week
we're gonna do Kisses Revenge album. Danny, do you remember
this album?
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Oh? Yeah, one of my favorite kiss albums.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
Actually, So what we both did is we pulled out
our old seed and popped them in and listened to
them for a couple of spins and tried to familiarize
ourself again. Because there's certain songs that I forgot. I
couldn't remember if I.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Liked them or not. So yeah, certain songs I meant
to forget.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
Okay, I guess we're gonna find out about that. A
couple of stats about the Kisses Revenge. It was released
May nineteenth, nineteen ninety two. It went gold in the US.
It was the first Kiss album to reach the top
ten since Dynasty.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (25:29):
Yeah, I heard it, so I got to number six. Yeah,
you are correct. It also reached the top ten in Australia,
the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, and Norway. But you figured them.
A lot of Kiss fans love this album and speak
of it very highly, but it's only gold.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
What are you gonna do? I mean, it's a great album,
but maybe not too many people really liked that the
way they because it was a definite departure from what
they were doing before.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Yeah, it was the return of Gene Simmons. Yeah, welcome back,
because in the eighties it was all Paul Stanley singles
and the first single was Unholy, a Geene Simmons song.
So and they have also put out a Domino video,
and then there was I Just Want a video. But yeah,
Jeans came to the forefront again and Kiss definitely toughened
(26:17):
up their sound for that one.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
And this was also the return of Vinnie Vincent. He
came back and wrote three songs on it, or co
wrote three songs on it.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
Yeah, and it made a big difference. Oh, absolutely, Yeah,
they should have just kept him.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
If he could have kept his shit together, he probably
would have. They probably would have made some awesome albums together.
Speaker 5 (26:36):
Yeah, because every time he wrote with the band, they
were good. I mean, lick it up. She should have
stuck with him, but I guess he's one of those
guys who self destructs and screws up a good thing.
So even I think he even tried to sue Kiss
over royalties and he lost in court. So last week
heard Vinny Vincent.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
I think Kiss has so many lawyers you couldn't get
to them if you wanted to. Once you've signed a deal,
you're not getting out of it and you're getting what
you signed. So yeah, all.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Right, now, since we've talked about this album, let's do
my top three bottom three. I'll start with my bottom
three and we're gonna figure out, Oh, you know I
should do or you want to you want to guess
what my bottom three is? You think you know me
that well?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
I don't know, because sometimes we're on the same track
and other times we're the exact opposite. So let me
just hear your bottom three and I'll see if you
probably know my bottom three pretty well.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Though I think I know your bottom bottom one for sure, probably, okay, mom?
Now on this album, actually two of the three in
my bottom I actually kind of like the songs. We
actually I kind of like them all a little bit,
but I don't hate them all all right, all right?
Bottom and number three I put every Time I Look
at You the.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Ballot, Yeah, yeah, that was probably my bottom.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Fourth, Yeah, which I think is a pretty nice ballot.
It's a nice song, but I had to stick something
in the bottom three, right. Number two is the strip
the stripper anthem Take It Off, which isn't a bad
song either. But then again, when you hear a guy
in his I guess at the time, in his late
forties early fifties talking about strippers and stuff, it seems
(28:17):
kind of creepy. Yeah, a little bit, yeah, all right,
And number one which I think I know is gonna
be your bottom one and it's my bottom one. Spit
and spit. I guess there's during PC time all. I mean,
now we're in PC times. But why didn't they Why
did they call it spit? And she just went with
shit obviously because that's what he's talking about. And yeah,
(28:41):
it's kind of a silly song. But if I think
if they would have went the full full ten yards
and called it shit, maybe it would have been a
better song. Maybe. So I don't know what that is.
So that's probably the onest song. I don't really like
that much, but the rest of the album I really like. Okay,
my top three and would be uh, I just wanna right,
(29:05):
I just want to I just want to folk at you.
It's a it's a corny song. Yeah, I kind of
like it. Co written by Vinnie Vincent. Number two, which
might surprise you, tough love really okay, Yeah, I kind
of like it, and when I want to listen back
to it, I realized I liked it more. And number one,
(29:28):
Unholy Nice, also written co written with Finny Vincent exactly,
So yeah, that's my top three. Bought off is it
close to ears?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Yeah? Pretty close. A couple other songs added in here,
here and there. I like you. I like this album
pretty much start to finish, but there definitely some songs
I thought were throwaway tracks, like my number three bottom,
which is Heart of Chrome. Didn't do anything for me.
Just thought this is one that's they just kind of
(29:58):
put together because they needed filler or something. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Yeah, when I looked at the listening for that, I figured, oh,
that's definitely my bottom three. But I listened to it
and I go, I guess I like it a little
more than I thought I did. So, yeah, that was
like number four for me. My bottom number two Spit
because of that one line right there, What the hell
is Gene doing.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
Psych? He's some old guy. Don't take my pills. My
name is you, Gene oh Man? And then my number
one bottom song, I can't believe you didn't think this,
that I would think this. God gave rock and roll too.
(30:42):
