of the Netflix era, Danielle, it's on Netflix now, it's wild.

Yes, indeed, what did you think of the premiere?

So before we get into like matches and for promos
and like all that stuff, just the overall production value
looked so much better.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Everything looked crisp and clean.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I felt like I was watching a movie and not
a live broadcasting like it was very the production value
was top.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Notch from the beginning, like the Rock was the first
person to make an entrance, the way the camera was
shooting him like just a little bit lower center, like
I was kind of like. And I was actually watching
it with my roommate, who is not a wrestling fan,
because of the fact that RAB was moving to Netflix.
He did, in fact, like I didn't ask him to

do it. He was like, Hey, I'm gonna watch wrestling
with you today. So I wonder a how many non
wrestling fans also did that, like or you know, the
quote unquote the casual fan, how many of them decided
to tune in for this big premiere And so yeah,
the way they started to show off where I was
immediately able to notice a lot of those production changes

and a lot of the cinematography changes. So yeah, one
hundred percent welcome changes.

I thought.

Yeah.

While I was watching it, I found myself trying to
make like mental notes of Okay, this is a new
change for the Netflix era, and this is a new
change and this is not something they used to do
and blah blah blah, like trying to track all the
Netflix changes.

Yeah, Yeah, I was.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
I wonder are they doing pay per views on Netflix now?
I was trying to figure that out, like.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I believe, I mean, that's an interesting like question, and
I'm not sure. I did kind of assume similar to
the way when we were on Peacock we got the
ples there, h so so I assume it would be
the same thing Netflix. Ples will be available on Netflix,
just like a special event like this.

I really liked the first episode of World.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
There was just a lot going on, and like it's
a lot, it was a lot of I'm trying to
get people to pop.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I'm I'm mixed about it, only because it was a
good episode of raw. If if you felt that the
premiere episode should be treated kind of like a ple
in the sense of it was a four match card
that was built around you know those matches, right similar Like,
for example, what I mean by that is on a

ple E, if you're not in one of those matches,
there's a very good chance you're not actually gonna be
on the show. Maybe a backstage segment, but for the
most part, you know who you're going to see going
in and that is essentially what we got. That's not
your normal raw experience. Normally, you go in, maybe you
know of three matches, but you'll usually get a lot
more and you know that you'll see the majority of

(04:30):
the raw roster, at least the weekly raw roster being featured.
That's not what we got, So, you know, do I
think that should be rob moving forward? God know, and
on a three and a half show, at three and
a half hour show, if like you're only getting that
that amount of talent on your show, then that'd be
a big problem. And I do kind of question why

(04:54):
they chose to go that way if they knew that
the first night was going to be seen by a
lot of casual fans. I don't necessarily know that starting
off with a pl style show is the way to
appeal to casual fans, to be honest, Rather, the normal
raw might give you more storytelling, more coories.

A casual fan would like the fact that the Rock
was there. A casual fan would like the fact that Hogan,
I said casual. A casual fan would like that Hogan's there.
A casual fan would like that they were showing different
celebrities in the crowd, like those are certain things right.

Right and to and to your point, uh, my roommate
Will who I was watching it with, like as soon
like they opened with the Rock, and he even said
he was kind of like, oh, yeah, this is who
I came to see. I don't know how serious he
was or if it was said in jest, but I
do kind of think that reflects a bit. You know
immediately you recognize. And so because of the fact that

I was watching it with him and wanted to kind
of catch him up on stuff, took the Rock coming
out as an opportunity to explain to him, Okay, and
so we're gonna see Roman reigns face, so coat telling
you about the bloodline. You know, Sola was his muscle,
and now there's like an insurgents catching him all up.
And so when the first hour is done, he's able
to look at it me like, oh wow, the Rock
and his family just took the first hour because we

got the Rock talking for however long, and then Roman
Rangers Solo took the took the rest of the hour.
So it was and I think and listen if a
casual fan was able to get put up on game
in terms of Roman and Rock, which they did have
Rock address that Roman was his cousin put him over
as the tribal chief. They even had Rock come out
later and you know, afterwards and put him over. So

they definitely did kind of try to start off hot
with people who were watching it, you know, for a
big name like the Rock percent.

And that's okay.

I just I kind of agree with you a little
bit with the whole Like, so we're only getting four matches.

And then but you're trying to appeal to the casual fan.

I'm assuming, and they and they felt the need to
remove the know, the Women's Intercontinental Title Championship, where we
would have been guaranteed to get ourselves a new intercoul champion.
They said that there was there might have been too
much happening on raw already, so they just had to
bump in a week. That to me was kind of

the first sign that I thought Rio Ripley would probably
be winning the championship. I was like, maybe they just
want to do two new champions. They don't want to overshadow,
they don't want to give us too much. So so
I was definitely okay with that. Listen, I think let's
let's let's talk about some of these things. Let's start
off talking light uh, let's talk about the stars that

came out for RAW because because that was fun and
you mentioned it as a way to appeal to the
casual fans, and I enjoy seeing celebrities that are actual
wrestling fans. I don't really like if they start bringing
out the stars of like Stranger Things, who are just
there to promote the new season, I'm kind of just
gonna start rolling my eyes. But when we get to

see Danielle Fachelle, who's a very famous independent wrestling fan, like,
we know, we like, we know.

Yeah, not to mention the fact that, like I do
like the tag, said Danielle Michelle, No tag for him. Also,
they didn't mention him at all. And they reference to
us to Panga. If you're referencing us to Panga, do

It was very It was a very weird because I'm
saying that, I'm like, wow, they're not even giving him

And he's got a great wrestling podcast as well, which
Pat McAfee put over. Yeah, but then you've got then
you show Danielle and Will who also have a podcast,
albeit it's not a wrestling podcast, but they have a podcast.
So once again, just another reason to shout out both

I love. I mean, Jay whoso got the pop of
the Knight hands down. Oh honestly, Travis Scott might have
gotten the second. The second problem.

I love culin well, so he did a When I
went to that like stand up years ago, it was
like the Jake the Snake storytelling and they had a
bunch of comedians. McCaulay culkin stood up and told some
wrestling stories and like funny ones too, which I thought was.

Like, Yeah, one of my favorite like videos out there
from an independent wrestling show is when he gets on
the top rope and I forget that. I think somebody
had a ladder and they were holding it. But basically
he got to go in there and like hit somebody
with the paint can on a string, like he hit
him with the home alone classics, which I thought was hilarious.
We like him, as I said, he's a wrestling fan.

There are shots of him at show when he was
like eight or nine. Yea, I thought that was also
as nineties kids, we watched a bit of a downfall
of mccaullay culkin, So we're happy that he fucking is

part of the press conference later was Triple H when

But I think I do think with the Netflix transferring,
I think they need to spruce up, especially being twenty

Jay Uso started the year off with one of the
best entrances. I think we're gonna see all fucking year,
possibly possibly we end this year. It is the best
entrant the entrance because the energy was unmatched. This tas
added to it.

This also shows that how important entrance music is.

It's so important to get the crowd behind you and

jay Uso lacks it makes up for in his entrance
