Speaker 1 (00:08):
Ladies and gentlemen, The show is evolved to start in nine, eight, seven, six, five, four,
three two one.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Not just sar, just sarre, not just.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
It is right, ladies and gentlemen, fans and friends, we
are back once again. I'm the Custodian of Charisma. I'm
the Optimologist of optimism. She is the Sorceress Success and
the sultanum Sarcasm. I am Brady, She's Danielle. I am
the ghost, she is the coat. Together we are the
best best friends in all the land. Together we are
(01:07):
the heel Marks. And this is another episode where we
are sitting down to sharp shoot the shit. Last week
we were back celebrating the new year, ringing in the
new Netflix WWE era and since then, it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
It's only been a week, but a lot has happened.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
We've got new champions, We've got returning superstars, We've gotten
debuting superstars. We've got superstars on shows we didn't know
they'd be showing up at a lot going down. Danielle,
what is up?
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Hey? What's going on? I know this year is coming
in with a bang. It's a lots going on, a
big bang. A lot of stuff's happening a lot of
stuff's going on, and I'm here for it.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
No, last week, like even before the Ron Netflix, they
ended the year with Tiffany Stratton taking us into Tiffy time,
you know, so her and in fact, Ria Ripley then
starts the year off winning the championship on Raw. So
we kind of go into the year with two brand
(02:13):
new women's champions on that side, and you know what,
let's just get into the nitty gritty courtesy of last
week n XT, we've got we've got some new women's
champion as well.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Yeah, they just they just switched all the women up.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Everyone's going a lot of miss a lot of changing
pieces going there, and and Roxane Perez moves on.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
In fact, I'm sorry, that wasn't last night, that.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Was last week, right, Juli became our champion last week
last night and Bailey a little Yeah, I mean I
was excited until they ran out of time and the
service ended. Yeah, that was super weird.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
I like, obviously I went on the interwebs after and
I was like, oh, let me look up what happened,
because obviously someone has something that we can find. But yeah,
it was just weird that I just cut off like that.
But that's weird with Raw too, Like Raw took me
back to me by surprise that it was only two
and a half hours this week. I was like, oh,
we're ending early.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Oh and then the the funny thing is the rumors
are that Penta apparently went over his time and they
had they had to remove time away. It's like, how
does that? Like? First off, that doesn't even make sense
on an hour show. Also, Triple H was literally saying
to us like, Oh, we're not gonna have the times
constrands we have with TV, like because Netflix, if we
(03:38):
have to go three hours, we can go three hours,
you have to go four. We have to go.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
To whatever we want.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
You assume that means that since all that's gonna happen
is they're just gonna take us to a blank Netflix
screen where we now gotta go to the homepage and
decide we're watching next. Like I don't really so I
don't buy that Personally. I think it's just rumors and
celliiness that doesn't really make sense.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
Yeah, but I think people just try to like justify
what happens with like, oh, yeah, they went over time,
Oh they went this. You remember when Undertaker lost a
brock lessnar people were making up all sorts of shit,
Like people just have to make up rumors and like
excuses for things.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
And like, the only thing I could think of is
if despite the fact of like, yeah, maybe they don't
have to end the show at a certain time, there
is a possibility that maybe they need to get to
a commercial at a certain time, that maybe like those
ad breaks are still scheduled that they have to happen
at a certain time. Also, the fact is that you're
(04:37):
still like they're still scheduling their show in a sense
of they want something to happen at the top of
the hour, right, you know, So like there's also maybe
maybe it's getting lost in translation where pent didn't go
over causing anyone to actually like where they had like
the show was gonna go over time, but at the
same time, they did need to take time away from
(04:58):
this so that this spot hit its mark at nine
o'clock or nine to thirty, or that this commercial didn't
interrupt this promo that you know what I mean, these
are just the things we don't know, So I'm trying
to take that into account in regards to where the
rumors came from.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
A lot of times.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
You know, I say, if there's smoke, there is usually
fire somewhere. But everything I'm reading says there's zero heat
on them, so that's good. And obviously there's zero heat
on Julia because we've got ourselves a new NXT women's champion,
very excited about this new era for NXT.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
NXT has so much talent on that show, Like it's
ridiculous how much talent is on that show, and it's
really amazing. How Like, I just love watching it because
it's almost like we watch all these stars progress from
the indies onto NXC. I mean, it's been that way
forever and NXT is still NXT hit some rough patches,
but now like it's top tier in my opinion. I
love everybody on those shows.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah, and it's just it's in a such a interesting
period because we've got the new signings like Stephanie, like Julia,
and then at the same time we've got the crop
of superstars that have kind of been inn NXT for
a minute for example, and we'll talk about it in
(06:16):
just a minute, but our now former NXT champion Trick Williams. Yeah,
I feel like around this time last year, you know,
he was fishing up his feud with Carmelo. Carmelo was
already kind of on the main roster, getting prepared to
be a permanent member. Trick Williams was kind of being
handed the reins of NXT, getting ready to become champion,
(06:39):
getting too ready to become that locker room leader, the
face that runs the place. To borrow something from aj Styles. However,
fast forward a year. My money is on Trick Williams
making a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble and probably
becoming a full fledged member, if not right after the
Royal Rumble, i'd say a main roster, remember night after Yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
Think he'll get called up. Do we still say call up? Yeah?
Well we're back to that, right, I think he'll get
called up. Well.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Well, it's interesting because I was gonna make a point
that our new uh NXT World Heavyweight Champion, Obafemi has
already made it in a recent interview. I saw where
he understands that NXT is developmental and the way they
haven't constructed it will be developmental. But he does still
feel like right now with the current crop, with the
moving pieces, and let's just say, because you know, Trick
(07:29):
Williams is still in the roster, so let's not take
away for any of their superstars for progressive call ups.
He does think that with this roster they should be
considered and could be considered a third brand, similar to
what we saw back in the Black and Gold era.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Yeah, I can see that Obafemi being new champ. I
am for this so I love so much. I know,
I told you when I went to that show, Like
the crowd just fucking loves him, like they would go
to war for this man. He's like there general, I
am obsessed with him. I've been upset with him since
he debuted. I'm so happy he's NXT GYM. Don't get
(08:04):
me wrong. I love Trick Williams, but like, obviously this
is the progression that he'll go to Raw SmackDown. But like,
I am so excited for Obra Femi.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Like, you're not supposed to hold the NXT championship forever,
You're supposed to hold it to the long as you
need to.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Exactly right, I'm I'm so looking forward to that. I
love everything about this.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yeah, And it's also it's one of those things where
like if we if we rewind back a few months
and me and you were kind of wondering, like, wow, awesome,
Ethan Page became an XT champion, but wait then he
lost it again, so quick back to Trick Williams.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
We're kind of wondering why.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
And my guess is at some point they're like, Okay,
we've made Ethan Paige. We've established him right now, his
presence an XT.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
That's cool. We can do what we want with him.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
We can keep him here and still make him a face,
I mean a presence, you know, a face yawn there,
or we call him up to the main roster because
we know he's ready. But we get the belt on
Trick and now we've got the guy to drop it
to Oba Fan, creating a fucking monster NXC superstar, right.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
I also feel that what they do the NXT Championship
is like the final boss before you go to Raw
and SmackDown, Like when you get that, like oh it's time.
Not like we said with Ethan Page. Ethan Page tried
to get that because he just came in. He's established.
He you know, he was hot at that moment. And
then they put it back to Trick because now Trick
was moving to Raw SmackDown, so obviously they wanted to
(09:26):
have him on the belt because the belt, that's that's
like your parting gift, like you pass it on, you're
passing the torch before you move on.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Right, exactly.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah, Obafemi's just so ready and it's fact. You want
to just make a quick correction to something I said
a while ago where I was like, Oba Femi is
what I wish or what I think a lot of
us kind of wish and wanted Omas to be. However,
after watching omasen knew japan O Mas is that you
(09:56):
kind of just have to use him like Omas is
killing an Japan. I love the way he's being used
over there, like yes, put him in a tag team
with an experienced time flyer. Let him be the monster
that just throws people around power bombs that make my
back hurt just watching him.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Did you did you see that interview with the interviewer
where he was a wrestler. I love that It's like.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
This, well no, because at first he just sees him
and I think the aura got him where he's kind
of like, are you famous?
Speaker 4 (10:24):
And he's like I don't really think so.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
And then a woman walks past and she was an American,
so I assume she recognized.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Oh no, he's famous. He's famous.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
And then of course the first thing you ask a
seven foot six guy or however Tolia is well you
play basketball?
Speaker 4 (10:36):
No, no, I'm a wrestless No.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Oba Femi is actually what I wish Apollo Cruise was.
That's what I wish, Like, this is what my Apollo
cruise should be.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
I mean, the interesting thing about Oba Femi is that
he's also from Nigeria, So I mean the possibilities of
like a grant that I don't know if they ever
would do this. I don't even know if we'd actually
want it to. O Femi and Omas tag team just
seems like the most destructive pair that could ever be
(11:07):
put together in in like dog like who's touching them?
Speaker 5 (11:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
You need a ladder to touch both of them?
Speaker 5 (11:14):
Like what what about Apollo cruise? My poor guy?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Oh? Well yeah, I mean, what do you do? What
do you want me to say?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Right here?
Speaker 3 (11:20):
You bring up somebody who said what are you doing?
What I thought you were going with you?
Speaker 5 (11:27):
I thought you were going with oh, Apollo Cruise at Obafemi,
but you were like nope, back to o Mos And
I was like, oh.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Because because the truth is your comparison is lost to me.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
I kind of meant like Omas was underwhelming.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
We didn't really know, like the all the hype was there,
You've got this monster, but we didn't.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
They didn't really do anything with.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Him, And so with Obafemi, like all of a sudden,
it's like, oh, well, this is what you're supposed to
be doing with him.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
I mean with Apollo Cruise. Apollo Cruise is awesome.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
The way he is.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
They just need to use him.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
Yeah, fair.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
They're using him backstage in like weird little where he's
he's like the voice in the ear of people like, yo,
did you see that? They're calling him what Apollo snitch
or something like you know. So, like I just wish
they'd get him back in the ring.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
That'd be nice. Maybe an Apollo Cedric tag team.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
I wouldn't mind, Yeah, give me something, but yeah, Obafemi,
I'm on this this rain, I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
The only thing that was weird and perhaps they just
wanted to keep us on our toes, but the way
he won it where so it was a triple threat
him versus Trick versus Eddie Thorp, and obviously I'm assuming
that Eddie Thorpe is only there to take the pinfall,
but no Trick Williams takes a pitfall, and so I
kind of wonder why even put ay Thorpe in there.
(12:39):
If the plan all along was for Oba to actually
pin our champion. Perhaps that's just there to set Eddie
Thorp up as a future contender will Trick Williams as
as we said, probably, I truly don't think we should
see Trick on an XT anymore because if you bring
it back to XT, he has to fight Obafemi again
and that means we have to see him lose again,
and I just don't even know if it's necessary. I
(13:01):
keep him off TV and like I said, surprise will
Rumble appearance and just hope, hope that crowd below the
roof off the place with those with the trick chance.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
Yeah, I whoop. That trick thing is so weird to me,
but it works.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Like I just I just feel like, when is the
Royal February seventh, first February February, first.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
First day of February. Okay, so yeah, so like it
would have been right now We've got so.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Like half a month of not seeing Trick Williams is solid.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
Half a month I see him.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Yeah, like if you see him like the week before
the Royal rumble and then his surprise just won't hit
as much. But if you kind of like if you know,
a few weeks go by, no mention of him, no, no, no.
Hearing that theme song, the the.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
Tony D'Angelo thing is a little weird for me. I
think it's weird that he beat obey I I don't
there's for some reason, he's not believable as a threat
to Obami to me. I don't know why, but there's
just something about not that he's a bad wrestler. I
like him, I like his character, I like everything about him.
It's just for me. I don't find him as a
threat for Obafemi. And it's weird that they play well.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
That was why they had to go to the next
level with the story that they told when they did it,
where they kind of basically did like the story from
Rocky and literally had them like actually doing word for
a word like those scenes, the vignettes like. That's why
they really spent months giving him the kind of Italian
stallion story of can you slay the Beast? Oh?
Speaker 4 (14:30):
I finally did it?
Speaker 3 (14:32):
You know, Adrian, we did it. And also keep in mind,
since NXT is developmental, much like Obafemi as our world champion,
eventually somebody in NXD, probably somebody that's already there, is
going to have to be a believable person to take
him down, right, And so with Obafemi being the North
American champion, it was even more we knew that he
(14:54):
had to lose it, even if not for main roster
to get here, right, you know, kind of similar to
the Gunther cities, I knew.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
You were gonna say that because I was just gonna
say that.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
I was like kind of like a yeah, well, because
it's very much reminding me where like, and this is
another reason going back where I just really didn't think
Sammy Zayin was the right guy to do it. But
like Sammy Zain de Thrones, Gunther is the one guy
after how many challengers to finally take him down. But
then months later, when Gunther is our world champion, Sammy
(15:24):
doesn't seem like a really believable contender at all. None
of us thought he had a shot of doing that.
And I suppose in a similar bass that if Chad
Gable was the guy that take the title from Gunther.
We I don't know that we'd suddenly be thinking he
could defeat gut there for the World every championship. So
the truth is when you go from a mid car
championship and almost immediately we're talking like two months and
(15:47):
you're now world champion, it's a difficult situation because you
did just get beat.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Right, and and someone like Sammy, like you said, like
a Sammy a contender to become champion now because he
beat gun once before, And what does it matter if
it's if it's the WWE Championship or the Intercontinental Championship,
Like it's very yeah, it's a very thin line of.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Them, and it's just and it's like, don't get me wrong,
Sammy's aye should be world a contender like that. But
the fact of the matter was that, like Gunther was
just wanted. So we're already in our mind like, well,
Gunther's gonna hold this for a minute, and then Sammy
comes in, well I just beat you, even though I
also just lost the title that I beat you for,
I beat you, you know, it's like it's so that also,
(16:29):
so it's like I do like I do, like Tony D'Angelo,
I'm a fan of Oh no, I like him. I
have nothing and I did not mind, like I was
a fan of this, of all the effort they took
to actually make him a believable challenger for Obafemi. Now
once again, now here they are. They can't keep themselves.
(16:50):
They can't wait any longer. Now they got to give us.
The interactions for Tony D'Angelo is like, hey, I beat you,
so now we're like, okay, in the future, maybe he's
coming in rich Holland with the attacks, We're like, okay,
Rich Hollin's gonna take on Obafemi. As I said, Eddie
Thorpe didn't get pinned in that triple threat, so they
are kind of sprinkling contenders around. It'd be very interesting
(17:13):
to see when Ethan Page wants to get his hands
back on the title, if he or if he waits
in traditional Heal fashion, waits for Obafemi to drop that title,
like I don't want any of that monster.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Yeah, I don't want that either, No, No.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
One.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Thing that was interesting The Rock was in NXT, a surprising,
you know, very cool appearance from The Rock. Obviously not
as surprising because his daughter, of course runs the show
and we knew he'd come out with a promo. You know,
we knew what The Rock was gonna do. However, I
did not expect Ethan Page and The.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Rock to have a segment together.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
Page I'm pretty sure. I'm ninety nine percent sure that's
Ethan Page's all time favorite wrestlers. So he probably was
like peeing his pants because that's how I would have
been like yeah, So he was probably yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
And it's just I'm so happy for Ethan Page. And
for the most part, a lot of times in segments,
especially like this when Rock kind of just comes back
on a happy, go lucky Smiley tour, a lot of
the wrestlers that work with him, as cool as it is,
a lot of times they're kind of comedy feeder to him.
Right A lot of times they have to be the
butt of the joke and the Rock is shining like
a diamond. That's not what we got.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
Here, and it wouldn't have fit here.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Also, because Ethan Page is very serious in NXT, and
we know he can be very funny. We know he
has personality and he does it all the time with
his point and his smile, but he's also very serious.
Right now, he's in the most heated NXT rivalry currently
going with Jovon Evans right now. Yeah, so I love
the way he was presented here. Granted the Rock can
(18:47):
help himself. Had to slap Ethan Page on the tush
as he's leaving, you know right, I'm sure those cheeks
are just tough, tough to resist, and The Rock just
was doing it for as long as he could, probably
thought the camera was off him.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Uh but but no a slap aside.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I really just loved everything about this, and I love everything.
It's what keeps me excited about how WWB us Ethan Page.
We've seen him work with cmpunk, We've seen him work
with The Rock, We've seen him be champions, we've seen
him be very protective. As I said, his feud, a
non title program has the most steam credit to both
(19:29):
men him and I love that. But he's but but
also Pages bringing the heat like you know, bringing the heat,
being a heel. I wouldn't mind him showing up in
the Royal Rumble too. I don't know if I'm putting
my money on, I don't know how many NXT people
will get in the Royal Rumble this year, but I
would love an Ethan Page appearance. That'd be fun.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Yes, yes, yes, I want that so bad. Yes, and
then I'll be really sad I wasn't there because I
was there for the past two years and now I'm
not to be there. I'd be very upset.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
Jordan Grace has to be in the Royal Rumble again, right.
Speaker 5 (20:05):
No, the probably new TNA Women's Knockout champion will probably be.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
In the rule.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
So, Masha, we saw her in NXT.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
We saw in XT yesterday, so you're right, there's a
very good chance that we do get her in the
Royal Rumble. We also might get her, you know, just
flat out not doing the Royal Rumble.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Maybe just flat out coming to NXT and having a match.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
With Julia or you know, we don't really know where
where that's going. But the reason I say Jordan Grace
is because I'm thinking Jordan Grace is ending her time
with TNA soon. So it might not be a TNA
a piece that we get from Jordan Grace. This might
be like a debut, you know, like she shows up
in the Royal Rumble.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
Probably I'd guess Final four again.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Uh, if not, if they don't just shock us with
the win honestly, Jordan Grace will Win would blow our
pants up.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Oh my god, imagine god that be so excited.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
I mean, listen, when we were talking last week about
who we saw winning, Uh, the only active person we
could think of that made sense that and by active
I mean on our television every week.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Is Naomi and Naomi being tag champion.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
We almost had to remind ourselves, Oh wait, I don't
think they do that, right, So, like, unless they take
the tag baps off them soon, which I don't mind.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
Right, She's the only active one we could think of.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Yeah, and it's like not even I just think strategically
as you headed to the road to WrestleMania, unless, of course,
you're just set on Naomi and Beyonca defending the titles
at WrestleMania, they're just believable contenders going into Royal Rumble
as non champion ship holders.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
So I mean, hot take, now that Dakota Kai didn't
win the Women's that championship, maybe Dakota Kai wins Royal Rumble.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Listen, I love you, manifesting man. Let's let's talk about
that only because and this is why, like I'd love
to excite myself for even two seconds and think that
could happen. But for me, them not going with the
(22:13):
code of Kai here is like such a shot, like
I don't get it. I don't get it, and it's
like I take nothing away from Lyra. Lyra has improved
in this match. She did a great job. They both
killed it. This match killed it for me, and they
both took some bumps that were crazy, like crazy spots
in this match.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
So they both killed it. And and this match.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Is making me a bit of a more of a
Lyra believer than I was.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
I I agree because for me, I think she's still
green and I hate saying that, but they've been shooting.
They put a rocket up her ass because like in NXT,
it was the queen of the Queen of the ring.
Like they're constantly giving her quick constant.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
I packed her to Becky before Becky left, so we're
kind of supposed to. They haven't really harped on it
in a minute, probably since Becky's you know gone, and
now they want her to return to be a surprise,
but they were kind of still attaching us us to
her as Becky's friend.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
You know, Becky likes her, so we're supposed to like her.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Too, and then they always kind of made her have
a trend of being like the runner ups and like
queen of the ring, like make it, you know kind of.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
So but I was very I couldn't understand why. But
I will say this match with Dakota Kai, I don't
know if it's that Dakota brought it out of her,
but I feel like I was like, oh, okay, here, yeah,
here we go.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
This is and listen, like it's just at this point
we just have to accept it. Because as we've said,
they have been they did shove that rocket up. They
have been shoving her. I don't want to say shoving
her down at throats, but they've definitely been shoving her
to the forefront. And it's like, even if they didn't
have anything for her to do, they always found somewhere
(23:51):
to put her. You know.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
They team her up with Kate.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
And the Katana, which, for the record, I actually like
that group. I don't know why Kate disappeared again, but
that's Stable, that three girls. Stable had a very cool
entrance with the guns and the you know everything, So
I wouldn't mind that. I'm sure we're not getting it
now that Lira's got singles gold. Uh but yeah, to me,
(24:16):
she still seems very unproven. Yeah, and I'm not overwhelmed
by the pop. She gets to the point where I
don't actually know how over she is, if she's as
over with the fans as w wants us to believe
she is.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Once again, as we've been saying, I do think this.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Match hopefully went a long way with any of the
non believers, because I do want to see her succeed.
But for this first championship and for what the Innercontinental
title has always meant, Dakota Kai seemed like the ideal
first person winning right. She has put in her time,
She has been here for a while, She is a
(24:53):
fan favorite. She has put in the work behind the scenes.
We've heard different wrestlers commend her for always being a
positive light and helping other wrestlers. So to see her
once again be the bridesmaid and never the bride, it's heartbreaking.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
And so to then be like.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Oh, well, they only had her loose so she could
win the Royal Rumble, It's like, yeah, I'll wish on
a start a night too.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
You know, I'm manifesting leave me alone, listen.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
I like the manifestation, I guess Unfortunately, unfortunately.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
This just there's there's too many other Lyra.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Lyra would have been okay had she lost, but this
seems like a shot back down for Dakota.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
Right, There's too many variables of different women that could
return that would most likely win the rumble for it
to be Dakota guy.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
Yeah, also, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
And then it's like I if I think of the
Heel women they're going to be facing liar for this championship.
Now I'm skeptical in how behind life the fans will
overwhelmingly be or if there will be a sense of
you know, I actually do like this Heel girl, So
let me chee, you know what I mean? Like, I
(26:08):
just don't like maybe if they show if they throw
Roquelle at Lyra, they'll probably boot Roquel.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
But like, I don't know, I just I guess.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
To me, like I said, it really comes down to
Lyra still being unproven in so many ways.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
So you're taking a.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Huge risk making her your first champ and it's probably
gonna result in them committing to her and putting that
rocket even further, And I don't know that doesn't always
work A lot of times that does the opposite of
your intended your intentions, I don't know what they do. Yeah,
but we're gonna have to see and listen. I love
(26:44):
your manifestation. I do hope to Dakota Kai gets something
at Like, I hope she's rewarded for this, because it
does take two to tango. They and the fact that
we're giving Lyra probably the ID say this is the
best match we've seen of Lyra. We've got to give
some of that credit to Dakota as well, and hopefully
they realize that once again Dakota showing up doing her job,
(27:06):
putting another person over who arrived at this company years
after she did, you know, helping somebody get a spot
that she has earned. So hopefully she's rewarded in some way.
Maybe her and EO get the.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Tag titles back.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
I don't want that, I do.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
It'd be something like Dakota's.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Our hopes of Dakota becoming a singles champion at this
point are farther than they were, Like, Yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Hope when Dakota wins, a bunch of puppies come out
and they embrace her, just with warm puppies everywhere.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
That'd be nice.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
That'd be amazing. That's how I would want to win
a championship. I want to be rewarded with puppies.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Those are the only people allowed to enter the ring
before the two minute warning. Like if he correct, because
those are those are gonna make the pictures even better. Correct,
you're just in the ring, you're on your knees and
just see it. Just puppies.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
Yeah, all, yeah, okay, sorry.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
We need to no no, no, no, don't be sorry because
we need to tweet somebody who's or maybe we just
say maybe be audible instead of puppies, even though that
be Nah, we can't do it with kittens.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
I was gonna say, maybe Natalia wins championship.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
No, no, we already know the answer. It's Jordan Grace.
Jordan Grace and her eighty five dogs she has once
she wins the women championship. All her dogs.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
Her dogs, Her dogs are like Diesel.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
Motherfuckers like her are gonna be fucking body. Somebody's gonna
have a hot dog in the front row. That dog
is coming to the Like, nah, man, we need we
need this little multi poos. We need a little tiny
ones that like the ones. They'd be surprised and celebrities
with and interviews the one we've seen, Uh Tom Tom Holland,
(28:52):
Oh yeah, Tom Holland.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
I love those interviews the dogs.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
He's just kind of like, would this relax you?
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Yes, ex give me as many dogs.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
I love the inter I love the BuzzFeed dog puppy
interviews because especially like Chris Evans, he can't even get
through the interview because he's just distracted by dogs.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
That would be right.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
I'm like, I don't even care about this interview.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Those are the type of dogs that we need to
surprise puppies, right, Jordan Grace.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
Wouldn't it be wouldn't it be really funny if see
them Punk one and then a bunch of puppies came
out obviously with Larry and all these puppies came out,
and you just watch like them Punk be like the
nicest human and just be like, oh, doggies everywhere. It'd
be so weird, it would it would fix his curmudgeon heart.
Speaker 4 (29:35):
Honestly, that suddenly becomes something I need to see.
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Actually we see a Punk or just someone, I just.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Know I need to see them the the like the
lighter side of CM Punk and I think we can
only really see.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
That it's so browned by puppies.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
I used to think it was like, give this man
a muffin and he'd be fine.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
But no, like he complains about those two. So we
just need puppies. Puppy love.
Speaker 5 (30:00):
It's always dogs.
Speaker 4 (30:02):
See M puppies, M pupps. I love that, you know,
you know who I can see?
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Actually, I think Kenny Omega would be like.
Speaker 5 (30:15):
He doesn't have dogs. I don't.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
I think he's a cat guy.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
But I guarantee you Kenny Omega loves all animals. Like
he's one of those people that just like, wasn't.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
He the one when see him Punk and them we're
about to fight. He's the one that like picked up
Larry nicely and put him.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
He only got it because he was trying to.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Larry.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
That's right, And listen, I love Larry, but those teeth
are a little messed up, so who knows like Larry.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
Larry is named after the actor that originally played Wolfman's Lauren's.
I can't think of his last name, Lauren something someone
screaming at me in the comments right now or like
in the thing listening to this, But yeah, he's named
after the guy who played Wolfman, the original Wolfman, because
he looks just like him.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Is interesting.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
Yeah, but Kenny Omega picked up Larry and put him out.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
He's like, yeah, there's anyone that deserves the puppy the
puppy power Parade, it's Kenny Omegan. That was literally that.
Speaker 5 (31:13):
Would be me in the middle of a fight. I'd
be like, hold on and I'd like.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Move all the yes, grab any dogs and just like
me and you puppies, me and you.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
I just in the corner and play with the dog
and forget the fight.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
But speaking of Kenny Omega, uh, the world was a
buzzin' when he returned in NJPW. His match with Gabe
Kid was.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
R Oh my god, I'm as so good.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
I don't really impressed.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Me And and I'm not gonna say this is a
definitive statement because obviously there's so much research you'd have
to do, and like matches, we have to think back,
but I can't recall being so impressed by a return
from injury match like this being the first match he
was gone for like over a year, like and then
(32:04):
that first match once again, there's so many people that qualify,
especially with like the Daniel, Brian Brian Daniels is coming back,
just coming back, all those people, so we'd have to
go through the thing.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Uh hell, even Christian Cage.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
But this match was just unreal, like a five star classic,
fresh off an injury with Gabe Kid just a kid.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Really impressed me and he normally like I'm not a huge,
I wasn't like a huge. He. I was super impressed
with him, Like I didn't feel that Kenny was carrying
that match at all, Like I love when it's like
equal balance, and I, yeah, I was really impressed with
that match. Kenny also looks fantastic. He looks so good.
(32:45):
He's like ready to go. I'm pumped.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
And Antonio wants to know if if, like when was
the last time w W had like a pet mascot
in the ring? I feel like it was.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
It's Cody's.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
It's uh uh Pharaoh.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Yeah, just being a service animal doesn't just qualify you
for being a mascot.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
So it's gotta be farah.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
Right, it has to be fara right, gotta be Pharaoh.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
I mean, if we're counting Pharaoh and we are, then Pharaoh.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
Yeah. But did he come in WWE?
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Yeah, he came out in w W.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
I thought it was only a w.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
We've seen him backstage.
Speaker 5 (33:24):
Yeah, well, I also get nervous with the fireworks because
Kenny Cody has a lot of fireworks and I'm always.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
Like the yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
It gets because they probably don't like it.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
I hope, I mean, granted, I do think service dogs.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Yea, they are like, yeah, was he a service dog?
Speaker 4 (33:42):
I believe so, unless that's all bullshit.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
He definitely they got him the service dog.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Because I don't think he was like I.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Do.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
But they had.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
Andy caps spots that you just like, you grat you
get the thing he didn't like.
Speaker 5 (33:56):
Get him a service dog though, like get him as
a worry service dog.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
But maybe he got trained to be a service dog.
Like my parents try to get their old dog, our
old dog, Pepper to be a service dog, but Pepper
couldn't do it because she didn't like it. Was gonna
be a service dog for like people in wheelchairs, but
Pepper doesn't like anything with wheels, so it didn't work.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
Also, Pepper is her own being.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Yeah Pepper needed a service dog.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Yeah, Pepper needed her own service dog, good old Pepper.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
But yeah, and Kenny Omega returned last week to a
e W very passionate promo. Uh, you could tell how
much this return means to him, how how happy he
is to be back.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Uh aew definitely holds a special place in his heart.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
NJPW as well, which is why he had to start
there and then come here, much like he did start
there and then come here. Uh.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
The funniest part.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Was Kenny Omega says, this is a new Kennyo, and
I'm not fueled by revenge. And then a minute later,
Don Kallis shows up and Kenny Omega is fucking spirrinting
out of the ring and beating the piss out of him.
He's like, all right, next week, it's gonna be a
new Kenny Omega. It's not fueled by vengeance, but this
(35:17):
motherfucker's gotta get it.
Speaker 5 (35:18):
I always think about Don Callas and how like we
always talk about people to have punishable faces, this man's
face is always punishable, like he has I one of
the I.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Hate him on behalf of all ball.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
People because he's not a valid representation. No, because that
motherfucker looks like a thumb, like like just an evil
thumb of a person.
Speaker 5 (35:39):
I mean, he is an evil thumb of a person.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Well, he is the hand, so that makes sense.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
I mean, I guess so yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
But yeah, Kenny Omega is going to have his return
AW match tonight against the Terminator Terminator versus Terminator Brian Cage.
This is Kenny's first ae W match in four hundred
seven days.
Speaker 5 (36:01):
Yeah seven yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Pop quiz, dude, do you think Kenny Omega's last AW
opponent was?
Speaker 5 (36:10):
Kenny Omega's last opponent was sim punk wrong? Wait, don't
do me, don't don't me? Ah, give me a hint.
I hope it's a boushie.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
But you really like this person.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
I really like this person, like, really like this person.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
It's not Christian Cage. I really liked Eat the Page.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Yeah, yeah Page.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
I like how the Christian Cage rhyme got it to
you like Christian Cage wait eat the Day.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
Yeah. I like Christiane Cage because I'm like, I really
like him and I was like, oh wait, oh I
didn't know that I love that's right.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
Four hundred and seven days ago, on an episode of Collision,
Kenny Omega and Ethan Page did they kiss? They did not,
but maybe afterwards, but yeah, uh interesting saying that that
this is going to be the first match, you know,
(37:06):
like they're really they're throwing They're throwing a Powerhouse at him,
They're throwing a Monster at him. My guess is that
Brian Cage is going to like really lay the pain.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
I can even make it.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Kennedy is gonna be selling for most of this match,
like because that way commentary can focus on the ring. Russ,
focus on the body, focus on surgery, focus on how
can take this pain?
Speaker 5 (37:27):
No ring rust.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
Kenny Omega versus Kyle Fletcher is going to be fire.
Speaker 5 (37:33):
When I can't wait. Man, Kyle Fletcher eventually is going
to be a w champion.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
He has to Oh yeah, you know he literally is
a proto star like that guy.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
There's no touch, like they have to.
Speaker 5 (37:45):
Do it to will offspray for first.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
But like, yes, Kyle.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Fletcher's so money, so money.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Speaking of money, we had a casino battle or royal
casino determine who the number of tender is, who's gonna
face John Box of the Night and it is Powerhouse obs.
Oh I'm very well deserved opportunity. Unfortunately, it feels like
we're just so deep into the Death Riders storyline that
I don't see the championship changing hands like on a
(38:17):
kind of you know, for lack of a better term,
and just a regular dynamite.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
You know, this isn't like one of the dynamites where
they give it a special name. This isn't a pay
per view, So unfortunately, I'm not, you know, holding my breath.
But I love seeing power Assops finally in a position
like this where we're acknowledging that, yes, this guy is
a beast, Yes he's the contender.
Speaker 5 (38:39):
Yeah, he's only a contender. I love Powerhouse.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
He's great and like he should. I He's one of
those guys where I'm scratching my head kind of wondering
why we never read the rumors about him wanting to
leave or wwe wanting to get their hands on him,
only because to me, he's just so money, has been
since he got there, and aew never really wanted to
seize the opportunity. Yeah, and even this almost seems like
(39:05):
an opportunity for Tony to see if Hobbs is worthy
of a real opportunity.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
Like, I don't even necessarily feel like this is a
sign oh they're pushing Hobbs Like this almost seems like Okay,
Hobbs got the big match.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
Now if he delivers and he.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
Opens up eyes backstage, maybe we see something new come
in into play. But you know, it's like, like I said,
it's just it's it's very frustrating being a powerhouse Hobbs
fan in a w I think this will be okay.
Speaker 5 (39:36):
I actually totally forgot that John Moxley was aw champion.
I was like, who the fuck is a champion?
Speaker 4 (39:42):
Because he's held the belt hostage.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
He doesn't even carry He puts it in a briefcase
and just walks to the ring like it's literally hit it.
Speaker 5 (39:49):
Yeah, he should wear it in a satchel.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
Like Indiana Jobs. Nah, Hangman Page is the only person
that should have done that.
Speaker 5 (40:00):
Yep, yep, Yeah, you're right, John Moxleyfield.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Yeah. Uh speaking of soon to come championship matches, Uh,
we were talking earlier about Bailey showing up at NXT
with a nice little appearance with rock sand Bailey. I
feel like it's just the ultimate locker room leader, constantly
putting people over, whether it's online, whether it's backstage, or
whether it's here in front of us. No surprise, Bailey
(40:25):
wins an awesome fatal four way match on SmackDown to
become number one contender. Bailey will take theres as Tiffany's
first challenger. That's gonna happen on Saturday night, main event.
I thought it was gonna be roy Rumble, but they're
doing it this Saturday.
Speaker 5 (40:42):
They're not this Saturday, Next Saturday.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
That's what I mentioned, Ninny.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
Next Saturday. Do you know what next Saturday is? No,
it's my birthday.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
Oh not, no way, wanted you to tell me. I
already have planned.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
I know you're taking my birthday party. I really liked this.
I also loved Bailey on Raw this week where they
were like why are you here? She's like, I live here.
Speaker 4 (41:09):
I love that.
Speaker 5 (41:09):
It was really great and that she was a Riha.
I thought she was gonna attack Ria for a second, like,
I don't know. It was just one of those moments.
So she was like glaring at her, but I think
she was just waiting for like to move.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
I think, well, no, I think that's just Bailey being smart.
I don't think anyone told her to do that. But
we are heading into the Royal Rumble, and so obviously,
assuming Bailey does not win the title at sent them
an event Bailey's going into the Royal Rumble. So I
like just the little seed that she planted here because
I peeped that as well. And it's kind of like, hey,
(41:43):
Bailey and Rhea could happen at WrestleMania. The seeds, I mean,
the positions are in place. If Bailey wins the Rumble again,
why not? So I I And also with Bailey, despite
the fact that it was you know, around a year
ago that we got the Bailey face turn and big push,
we're at the point where kind of like she's now
(42:04):
scrolling around, she's coming a raw, She's doing this, she's
coming us back and doing that, she's coming to XT
doing that. So Bailey is kind of in a transition period.
Maybe another heel turn is around the corner.
Speaker 5 (42:16):
Who knows she's planting seeds.
Speaker 3 (42:18):
Planning seeds. I love the seeds.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
And I love I love what this match is gonna be.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
All like, do you think Tiffany's gotta Tiffany's gotta go over,
She's gotta continue Tiffy time camp be over yet?
Speaker 4 (42:32):
Interesting?
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Speaking of Tiffany, let's talk about what happened when she
did finally speak as Women's Champion. We were talking last
week about what we thought.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
Was gonna happen. Is Tiffany a babyface?
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Even though the fans love her, it didn't feel like
a babyface cash in with her, attacking beyond her and
everything like that. Like the only thing baby faced about
it was the fact that Naya is a heel, and
of course the fans were going crazy for her, but
so we didn't really know what we gonna happen with that,
and it seems for at least the time being, they're
both kind of still heels. Tiffany was very quick to say,
(43:08):
oh no, no, don't you people say Naya bully me.
She didn't bully me. I befriended her to get here.
I tricked her, and she wants to bully me and
do that. Sure, you can do that, but who's laughing now?
Speaker 4 (43:20):
Who's stupid? Now? It's Tiffy time.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
So I love the explanation, loved everything about that, like
that was perfect, but it was still very heelish. And
then once again we talked about last week how there's
so many faces on the SmackDown roster that I don't
even know how a face Tiffany would work at this
current moment, and then boom, Naomi Bianca Bailey come out,
(43:43):
So it seems for now Tiffany and Nay are both
gonna have to be heels. My guess is Nia is
going to be trying to win the Royal Rumble to
come at Tiffany. I wonder if I'm just now like
remembering now that the Royal Rumble is much like the
other pay per views. It's only like four five, so
we're not even actually guaranteed. Maybe that's why Tiffany and
(44:04):
Bailey is a sounding I made event. Tiffany might not
even defend her.
Speaker 5 (44:09):
Yeah, she might not. I was just gonna say something
I forgot, Oh, Tiffany. Tiffany being a heel in people
actually cheering for her, It's kind of like the Ko effect,
Like people cheered for Ko even though he was a
heel because they love him so much.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Well that's different Ko. Everything he fucking says is right Ko,
right time.
Speaker 5 (44:29):
Cody ros is evil as everyone comes.
Speaker 3 (44:33):
At, Rowan Raids is evil as fuck. Kevin Owens speaking truth,
He's a fucking paragonam Yo.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
Ko speaks his truth all the fucking time like he
is the quintessential Like speak the truth.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
He tells no lies. Is the excuse me if I
want to cheer an honest wrestler.
Speaker 5 (44:50):
He's oh, like, Ko needs some gold, like it's time.
It's been so long, and Damon were talking about this
last time I saw Damon. It's like, what's going on here?
Like it's been too long. Ko needs some gold like
this man, it's been so long. Like do you remember
when he was United States Champion and his face was
(45:12):
on the on the ground and he would walk around.
Speaker 4 (45:14):
It, walk around.
Speaker 5 (45:15):
Yeah, oh so just that little tiny nudge just made
it so good. You know, I love ka I'm wearing
a Ko shirt right now because I love Kao so much.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
Me too.
Speaker 3 (45:26):
Everything he's been doing his money, he's speaking to someone
who needs some gold.
Speaker 4 (45:30):
La Knight is still in search of it because he
was silly.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
He was shortsighted, and he got in the way of
a werewolf on his way to a championship match that
cost him. Before we get into the match itself, let's
talk about Jacob Batsu. Okay, because we were talking last
week about how with Solo losing the big match on Raw,
what does this mean Solo did not actually appear on SmackDown.
(45:55):
They did promote Solo will make his first appearance on
This SmackDown this week.
Speaker 4 (46:01):
They also referenced the group.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
As like formerly known as the New Bloodline or something,
so essentially, we don't know what the new name's gonna be.
This group will get a new name, the Savages, you know,
the outliers. They'll name them something and that'll be that.
But Jacob Fato and Tomatonga are not waiting for anything.
(46:25):
They come in, They intimidate Paul Haymon, they get busy
with Cody Rose and Jimmy Uso setting up the tag
team main event, which they of course, would end up winning.
Jacob Fatu is so good on the mic and the
fact that like they gave us a slow burn, where
(46:45):
like the first month, all we're hearing him say, is
I love you Solo. Then next thing you know, he's
cutting Solo's promos for him. Now he's cutting Solo's promos,
He's cutting his own promos. He is cutting promos like
him talking to Secure was just so believable. I was
scared home. You better think about your life right now, Like,
(47:07):
oh my god, that like that moment was so funny.
And then La Knight comes out of nowhere throws Solo
out and He's like, I did love this line.
Speaker 4 (47:16):
This is a bit of a bar.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
He wasn't using his inside voice, so I threw his
ass outside. I got a title wind.
Speaker 5 (47:22):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
Yeah, that line was so good, so good, but the
logic behind it was flawed.
Speaker 4 (47:29):
You had a title to win.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
Why the fuck would you put yourself on Solo's radar. Also,
I don't know if anyone was paying attention, but the
door he threw him out of was not going to
the parking lot. That was still inside the building. I
saw the walls, so Solo was not even exit properly
exited from the arena. Solo was coming right on back.
You had to know it.
Speaker 5 (47:52):
What affliction in your in your delivery there, Brady?
Speaker 3 (47:57):
I mean listen, I was screaming when I saw it,
Like you finished the Jobby coming back? Bro? You getting
stomped out? Bro, you getting stumped.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
That's exactly what happened.
Speaker 3 (48:07):
I do like the different wrinkles though, now La Night
possibly getting pulled into the you know, formerly known as
Blood new bloodline. Also, Jimmy USO might still be going
with them, but we also don't know what's next for Jimmy. Oh,
so we spoke last week about wanting him to kind
of wanted to see him space away do his own thing.
(48:27):
We got a little taste of what could be next
for Jimmy U so a little backstage interaction with Carmelo Hayes.
Speaker 5 (48:34):
Yeah, I'm I yeah, I don't. There's a lot going on.
There's so much like going back and forth. There's just so.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
Much, I mean, but I like it though. It's setting
Jimmy up for a new page, for a new chapter.
Carmelo's kind of just like that guy talking shit backstage
a lot, and people are talking shit to him. Jimmy
USO even hits him with the line like, what's that
line used to say a Carmelo? No, miss, well, I
can build a house with all of them bricks. Yeah.
(49:02):
And then but then Jimmy USO goes on to be
the guy getting pinned in the main event due to
Cody Rhoades fleeing because you know, of course he had to,
he had to go fight. But Jimmy USO gets pinned.
So now Carmelo might throw a jab Jimmy's way, and
maybe we see Jimmy's first so singles feud that is
(49:23):
not with his brother.
Speaker 5 (49:24):
Yeah, I know, that we were talking about you being
like concerned that Jimmy was gonna turn on Jay, Like
I know, we were talking about that a little bit
too well, only.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Because I was like, if they don't do anything, because
because what we were seeing was Jimmy and Jay kind
of be the USOS again, and it's like, but Jay's
still very much doing his singles thing, tiring Upraw every week.
He's the star of the show. So if from now
until Rainy all we got was Jimmy as the USOS again,
(49:54):
then yeah, it just seemed inevitable that they have Jimmy
turn on Jay again. And especially now we've got Jay
having a Saturday and that made event Championship match against
I'm sorry against Gunta, So another opportunity where it's like,
if they just wanted to run it back at WrestleMania
and redo the match they had last year with Jimmy
at one hundred percent, I think, you know then yeah,
(50:17):
like I saw that, like I saw the pieces in
place where they could. But this kind of puts my
yeties a little bit because once again it's getting Jimmy
on his own so that the fans can attach to him,
putting him with somebody who does have heat right now,
as well as the ability to put on a classic
match with Jimmy us. So, if anything, Jimmy versus Carmelo
(50:38):
would be a nice test for Jimmy's body, you know,
see if he's one hundred percent, see if he can
go and run it back with Jay Uso, because him
and Carmelo should be able to give us just as
much of a classic. I think it's good.
Speaker 5 (50:51):
For Carmelo too, because Carmelo, I feel, hasn't really been
getting as many opportunities as I would like him to get.
He does, but not as much as I would like
him too, and it's definitely.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Not winning them most he's not winning them.
Speaker 5 (51:01):
And Carmelo's extremely talented. And like, if Trick comes up,
are they going to start that feud again? Like, is
that gonna have it? Are they gonna join forces? Are
they gonna separate if Trick comes up? Who knows?
Speaker 3 (51:10):
Well, listen, Carmelo having a good series of moments in
the Royal Rumble only to hear that music and then
look to the entrance REMP just shocked and scared.
Speaker 4 (51:22):
Would be a special moment.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
I always kind of hoped that by the time, I
mean granted this, I hadn't thought about this in forever.
Speaker 4 (51:29):
It was a while ago.
Speaker 3 (51:30):
I think I wanted this before Trick actually exploded to
the levels he is now. It wouldn't really make sense,
at least not first. But I always kind of wanted
Carmelo to eventually be a baby base by the time
Trick came out, so Trick could return and save him
and we kind of get that reunion of the Trick
mellow gang. I did want Trick Mello to to re unite, however,
(51:50):
being that Trick is just so over as a baby, yeah,
it doesn't seem like we'd be getting that out of Tilliams.
Trick Williams is so good that that Royal Rumble is
going to be fun. I'm really looking forward to it.
Speaker 5 (52:02):
Imagine it's like boring shit, what do you mean Like
imagine it's just like we're all roster. The only person
I can think that is going to get an extremely
large pop and I hope they do it is Joe
is Joe Hendry like they have like he has to
be there right, like they have to do it.
Speaker 3 (52:20):
You know what would be great at this point and
you even mentioned it, You're like, oh, well, I believe
the new TNA Knockouts champion would be a lot for
the Royal Rumble. We've become accustomed to that now right
now we're kind of expecting. But what if the TNA
World Champion Nick Nimi formerly known as Dom Sigler makes
a Royal Rumble appearance. No, Joe Hendry, I Joe Henry
(52:44):
is going to be there, but what if Also because
what if, like Joe Hendry comes in, cool, that's great
for him. But if Joe Hendry shows up and him
and dlphin I'm sorry, Nick are both in the ring
at the same time, they can continue a TNA feud
kind of.
Speaker 5 (52:59):
But at the same time. For me, what I always
like to look at from behind the scenes is the
more people like that you put in, the less of
the people that actually work there and are there. That
gets me nervous. I know, rumbles based on like ooh
surprises and stuff, and now they have such a full roster,
it's very hard to do that. I don't I think
one t and a person is fine, and I think
it has to be Joe Hendry. Yeah, it has to
(53:21):
be right.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
I mean, listen, bro, if they brought Moose in there,
I'd go crazy.
Speaker 5 (53:24):
I mean, I go crazy too for this because I
love Moose, But I yeah, I don't.
Speaker 4 (53:27):
Know, and listen, I don't.
Speaker 3 (53:30):
I'm starting to lose faith that it's happening, just with
all the interviews he's been doing, the videos he's been
putting out. I don't really know why though mac Cardona
doesn't get a call like just give him the Royal Rumbles.
Speaker 5 (53:41):
Did you watch that video where he was talking about
like he talks to them and they're just like nothing,
they'll I mean, at least give him a Royal Rumbles spot.
He doesn't necessarily have to come back to WWE, because
the only way he can come back to WWE is
if he's mac Cardona and doing what he's doing in
the indies, because like if he comes back and does
his Zach Ryder shit and has to go back to
Woo Woo Woo shit like.
Speaker 4 (54:01):
It, well, that's that's the problem.
Speaker 3 (54:04):
And like I heard him say something that was disconcerting,
where like he's always been very adamant, like I'd come back,
but is as Matt Cardona And granted this, these adamant
interviews were kind of a little far back when he
was really killing it. He was becoming that he was
the deathmatch kill Indie god, and the momentum was through
(54:24):
the roof. We all thought everyone's gonna be calling immediately,
and that when he's like, well, I'll come back, but
I'll come back as Matt Cardona.
Speaker 4 (54:30):
Zach Rider's dead.
Speaker 3 (54:31):
I need the right cash, I need the right creative.
You know, he was just very spot on, and now
it seems like it's kind of changed and he's not
as adamant that you know, I heard him say and
if I came back, whether it was Matt Cardona or
Zack Ryder, it would get a reaction. And that where
I was kind of like, oh so now you're willing
to do Zach Ryder. And it's like and once again,
(54:52):
I just don't like the creator. I don't think the
creative will be right in terms of unless Matt starts
compromise with where he sees himself. If Matt just tells himself,
you know what I knew. I was trying to prove
to them I could be a top guy. Ah, maybe
I just.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
Want to get the Intercoon title again, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 3 (55:11):
Like, I like, I feel like I just don't think
ww's going to see him the way he wants to
be seen. While they have their own feeder system that's
presenting themselves with bron Breakers who's going to be their
future star, presenting them with Obafemi, who can be a
future star, with Trick Williams, you know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (55:28):
Whereas like mac Cardonah has certain rules that he wants
to abide by.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
And like when Drew McIntyre did it, it was a
different time, you know, So it was easier to go outside,
prove yourself and come on back. There wasn't as much
really like churning out of new nxts and new signings
and new guys and this and that the nil thing.
So I think mac Cardonah deserves it. I don't know
(55:55):
if there's anyone that deserves it more. The guy's been
a pioneer times over in the business. But I just
don't know if the surprise is in the books forum.
Speaker 5 (56:04):
Remember when I remember when I called him winning the
GCW title and none of you believe me.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
Remember that I believe you. I never do you and Mario,
you guys, everything you say, I'm constantly supportive. You guys
were like everybody knows. I am extremely supportive. I'm a
very supportive best I roll the red carpet for every
one of your ideas.
Speaker 5 (56:32):
If everybody could see your pants right now, they would
see that they were on fire. Because you are a liar.
You better stop it.
Speaker 4 (56:37):
Why I don't have any odds.
Speaker 5 (56:40):
I can't believe you. Yeah, you and Mario were like, no,
he's just gonna get bean, He's gonna get his dues,
And I'm like, Nope, this man's winning j c W championship.
Speaker 4 (56:47):
That doesn't even sound like fibber. Yeah, listen.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
Speaking of surprises, WWB said it themselves, it was the
worst kept secret in the business, but we did get
So we did get the debut of Panha. I mean
well they they literally were post ww shop was posting
his fucking merch all day before the debut happened.
Speaker 4 (57:15):
So yeah, worstep secret because you didn't even try to keep.
Speaker 3 (57:17):
The secret, like his masks were on your website before
he made his debut.
Speaker 5 (57:23):
Yeah. I think his his debut speaking one a little
too long for me, not for time reasons. I just
think I got lost in the moment, Like I was
really excited he was talking.
Speaker 3 (57:33):
I think he got lost in the moment I think he.
Speaker 5 (57:35):
Was just over yeah, and then I was like, all right,
I'm starting not to care. Let's move on a little bit.
I thought this match was fucking stellar. Chad Gable and
him just complimented each other so well with the execution
of what we were doing for this debut. This was
a perfect debut.
Speaker 3 (57:50):
Yeah, And it's like everyone was saying, we spoke about
last week about you know how, and I guess it's
easy to poke fun when WW clearly changes now and
I poke fun. But they were like getting mad that, like,
oh well, pent was supposed to team with Raymons Sterior
to take on the New Day, but now all of
a sudden, he's facing Chad Gable. This is a step
down Pent's, you know, w's Pent as.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
A star and I'm kind of like, no, A.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
Teaming Pent up with Raymonsterio is the most predictable thing.
Like every single Latin superstar you come in does not
have to be friends with Raymond the first day. Cod
to mention the fact that obviously Pentce's first match you
need him to win. However, I believe that KOFE and
Xavier's first match since becoming the biggest heels in the company,
they need to win, So that whole match to me
(58:38):
was a giant head scratcher.
Speaker 5 (58:40):
Yeah. Also, people keep forgetting Chad Gable is an Olympian.
He's a fucking Olympian and he can't go.
Speaker 3 (58:48):
He should be, he should be on the road to
a title victory. Like, it's so sad that I think
Chad Gables as far away from winning a championship as
he possibly.
Speaker 5 (58:59):
They messed up the Chad Gable Otis storyline.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
So bad with that said though, like this is a
spot where he excels at you need to make somebody
look good, you need somebody to.
Speaker 4 (59:13):
Boom.
Speaker 5 (59:14):
I would never take that away from him, but that
whole Otis and him, it was written perfectly, like you
didn't even have to write it because it was just
writing itself, and you fucking butchered it like it was.
I mean, even if you had Otis have the championships
for like two seconds.
Speaker 3 (59:28):
I still have my fingers crossed because they've been kind
of teasing going back to it again. My fingers across
that they might actually follow through and give us the
big blowout at Mania and actually reward Gable and Otis
with his singles match. You WrestleMania.
Speaker 5 (59:42):
I hope so that'd be really.
Speaker 3 (59:43):
I'm crossing my fingers and crossing my balls to not
holding my breath. But I really do think they deserve it,
like Otis in particular, because the truth is, as much
as we talk about what Gable deserves, there's no there's
nobody who says Gabled doesn't deserve anything. Right, we all
know how good he is, and every time he's allowed
(01:00:03):
to do anything, whether it's a promo, whether it's a match,
his excellent shines.
Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
On the screen. However, Otis doesn't get used as often.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
In a lot of times he's in a three minute
backstage segment where he's calling somebody babes and just kind
of you know.
Speaker 5 (01:00:16):
And also with Otis, like I'm never taking away Otis's
ability to make Otis over, but Odi, but with Chad Gable,
Otis was extra over because you hated Chad Gable so
much that you wanted Otis to excel. So like they
complimented and brought out the baby face and heel from
each other, and Otis like dealt with a lot of
shit that he should him and Chad Gables should be
(01:00:39):
rewarded for what they were able to accomplish with a
kind of weird storyline. It was a weird storyline.
Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
For like weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
They were giving him like ten minute segments.
Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
Yeah, loutis reactions.
Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
That crowd was salivating at the opportunity of seeing Otis
get his hands on Gable, and they never they just
they just boomed like this big botch. And it really
all came down to them not wanting to put the
title on Gable. Yeah, that's why I came down to that,
because that would have been the catalyst for everything we wanted.
Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
Kuca literally had him have the title, and then even
if if Otis wonted for like a week, you know
what I mean, just to have it continue the story.
It's fine. Just give him the It's fine because it's
excellent storytelling.
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Yeah bullshit. But I did love Panda's debut. I did
enjoy the fact that they allowed him to speak both
in English and in Spanish. I liked that they did
in the San Jose day area, but I honestly don't
mind if they do it in more areas. Like if
you think of the television audience, especially now that Netflix
has entered the Fray, I'm sure there's more Spanish speakers
(01:01:42):
watching than English, or if not more, it's a percentages
got to be real fucking closed, right, So so like, yeah,
I don't mind it at all.
Speaker 4 (01:01:50):
Also with its.
Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Netflix, you think they they could give me some subtitles though, right,
like let him do Spanish promos and then just give
me the Like it was saying.
Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
The same thing that he said in English.
Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
I don't believe. So it seemed like he was talking
longer in Spanish than English.
Speaker 5 (01:02:08):
Well maybe there's more words in Spanish.
Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
But I also thought it was fun that his family
was there.
Speaker 5 (01:02:13):
His daughter was so excited to see him. Yeah, I
would have been like that too, So yeah, it was fine.
It went a little longer than I would hope because
it was like losing steam for me.
Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
But the match itself, I think the fact that they
wanted to give him my time alone, that that speaks
fightings about how they view him, especially considering the fact
that English is obviously not his first language. He wasn't
going to be doing it solely in English.
Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
And also it did.
Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Seem I don't know if it was on the fly,
it certainly seemed he wrote it. I don't think anyone
else gaped from a promo and it definitely did have
a bit of an on the fly, getting caught up
feel to it. But once again, the fact they were like, listen,
we're gonna have you go out here with one of
our best wrestlers. He's gonna make people have a million
bucks and now you're gonna speak and they're gonna see you.
Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
As a superstar.
Speaker 5 (01:03:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
Like I love the presentation of Beam.
Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
Yeah, because a lot of times when they had people
that weren't speaking, wasn't really their strong suit, Like Gunther
wasn't you know, like Gunther, Gunther's cool and collected, but
he's so much better Claudio Cassioli when he was at Cizarro, Like,
I know that was a big thing for a while too,
because like his articulation kind of like went here and there.
(01:03:28):
But like for something like this, I think this was
fantastic for them to really like let people have the
rings and show that they're multiverse.
Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
Yeah, you know, Phoenix is just crossing off the days
on his calendar. Can't wait, somebody free Phoenix? Were are
those t shirts? Who's got the free Phoenix?
Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
Phoenix needs to fly?
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
Oh man, I'm I'm curious.
Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
I always get curious when it comes to debuts around
this time though, right, because it is about to be
it's the road to the Royal Rumble, which is the
road to WrestleMania. So I'm hoping, like, if you're giving
us Penta now, I'm hoping you have his WrestleMania match
already set up.
Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
Yeah, you know, Like.
Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
I don't know if he does eventually get paired up
with Ray and the LWO and maybe they come back
to them, I don't know, Like I don't know. It's
it's so open ended because they did kind of just
go hand in hand with you know, let's just put
him one time with Gable to get him over and
now we see what's next for Penta, Right, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:04:36):
I don't I don't want to see that thing. I
want Penza to have a singles match.
Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
Maybe I have seen him being I was just Gonnay.
I can see him being Final four of Royal Rumble.
Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
Final four. I could see him being Final four. Yeah,
I could see that.
Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
But I agree a singles match at Mayia singles match
you can have.
Speaker 5 (01:04:52):
Like Ray and the LWO like on the sidelines maybe,
but like I wouldn't want them like in no no
tag match.
Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
I want him to have a singles match.
Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
Yeah, unless there's like you know, sometimes they do like
a multi man like icy title.
Speaker 5 (01:05:05):
That's fine, that's fine.
Speaker 3 (01:05:06):
Yeah, if they wanted to throw them in that or
if they get like a ladder match going like yeah, yeah,
that's fine.
Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
Yeah, but I don't know tag team, no no tech title.
Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
I agree, Yeah, I agreed. It's just it's very WWB
move for wrestlmating. You know, we get a lot of
tax team matches to get people on the car.
Speaker 5 (01:05:20):
Right, but so far twenty twenty five of WWE and
like kind, I ain't like everything wrestling. I'm enjoying it.
I'm enjoying it a lot.
Speaker 4 (01:05:28):
Yeah, we're getting going.
Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
It's a good start at twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (01:05:32):
