Speaker 1 (00:08):
Ladies and gentlemen. The show is evolve to start in
ten nine eight, seven, six, five, four three two one.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
I believe in Joe Henry. I believe in Joe Henry.
You loved London and Paris and Tokyo, American Scotland and
Canada and Mexico. This I believe in Joe Hendry. I
(00:51):
believe in Joe Henry.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Ah, yes we do. We do believe, ladies and gentlemen,
fans and friends, we are back once again. I am
the Custodian of Charisma. I am the Optimologist of Optimism.
She is the Sultan of sarcasm and the Sorceress of sass.
I am the ghost.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
She is the Coat.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I am Brady, She's Danielle. Together we are the best
best friends in all the land. Together we are the
heal Marks and daniel Do you believe?
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Of course I believe you miss my little head Toss. Yeah.
I was like, yeah, oh man, I am pumped, so cool.
I'm very excited. So it's about time, about time.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah, what what a week? What a week? I mean
with the with the theme, should we just should we.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Talk about that first?
Speaker 5 (01:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
We can talk about that since we kind of have
already gotten into the excitement.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
That is people have been saying, finally.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
Finally, people have been saying.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
What took so long?
Speaker 3 (01:59):
But but here we beginning twenty twenty five with a
brand new champion, and it is Joe Henry.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
This is one of the cases where it's like you
had to put the belt on him eventually because he
was so hot, Like this is white hot, you know
what I mean. Like everybody was doing the Joe Hendry song.
Everyone's been talking about him, like maybe making appearance at Rumble.
Everyone's been talking about this man. Everybody's been wanting this
man to be champ. And here he Efin is.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
And we were talking, you know, in our our Royal
Rumble excitement, talking about who could show up. I spoke
about the TNA World champ showing up, who at the
time was nicknamed rep. You were like, well, no, we
only need one from TNA, and it should be Joe Hendry.
And now it looks like both of us will in
fact be correct. It looks like probably.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
Most the TNA champion.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Will be in the Royal Rumble. I hope he's going
to be a time.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Oh I can't wait for that crowd to be so
insane for them when that music hits, like that music
is everywhere, Like, uh, I'm pumped. I'm very excited. This
is a Rumble I'm looking forward to because like I'm
just excited ever since, like this whole thing with TNA
and and WWE canoodling, Like this is really exciting because
like there are so many wrestlers from TNA that I've
(03:15):
been loving for such a long time that like the
Rumbles a great opportunity, just like last year with Jordan Grace,
Like it's so fantastic. I'm yeah, I'm I'm yeah. I'm
just pumped, man, I'm yeah. I love the The Rumble
is also my favorite pay per view. I don't know
what it is. It's just like it's not even the
pay per view, it's just the Rumble. I love the Rumble.
(03:35):
It's so fun. It's also fun because I feel like
it joins everybody together, like you're hanging out. You're like,
who's gonna come out next, who's gonna this? Blah blah blah,
Like you know, it's just a fun watch.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Also, Royal Rumble is just super exciting to watch. And
the fact that now TNA and NXT have I mean
they're referring it to it as cross lines, which I
think is we only because they've just announced the partnership,
so technically there.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Are no more lines.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
However, the fact that they're using that expression so much
makes me think that perhaps we will eventually get some
Brand Wars type of storyline with TNA and NXT. We
definitely saw quite a few NXT names show up at
TNA Genesis one I want to talk about, which I
(04:26):
love it personally, and he did not win, nor should
he have, But Ashanti Diodonis popped up over in TNA.
He to me, has everything it takes to make a superstar.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
You just kind of have to dedicate it and make it.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Everyone in Hitro has like is like big By now
or like has Giant Upside, Swerve is killing a former
AW World champion. AJ Francis is killing. It's one of
the best heels in the business.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
I've heard AJ france Is from you like twenty times
this weekend. I've heard that name is so much or
like A Francis.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
That well that that's because I repeated myself multiple times
when I was saying when we were talking about who could.
Speaker 5 (05:12):
Protect I know, but I feel like I've been hearing
you know, when you hear a word for the first
time and then all of a sudden it's everywhere. That's
how I felt about Francis. I heard you say.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Story and like proving people wrong, proving it right, whatever,
and like nobody can deny that A. J. Francis a
has immensely improved from what you saw from him on
WW Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
And then also just has become a draw.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Oh, I don't know people, it's just funny him.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Yeah. And then and then b fab is finally getting
her props and finally getting her recognition and WWE people
acknowledging the work.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
She's put in.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
But here's the thing, b Fab but doesn't wrestle with
Natty Entyson TJ on her own Chante's there is well, yeah,
along with the rest of the class, of course, but
like he does that. He's been dedicated to improving as
much as anyone, and I think we need to see it.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
I've seen his character work and Mike work and NXT.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
It's good that a TNA pay per view and it's
granted it was the pre show, but nonetheless, let's ranted
that audience gets gets to see him, hear him Jake,
something's typical typically a fel Yeah. In TNA, however, the
TNA fans instantly cheered him because of the work that
did on the mics. Absolutely, I love seeing an XT
(06:33):
talent formerly main roster get the chance to you know,
finally caught out of that shell and show what he
can be. And I think that's the main point of
the TNA NXT merger.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Oh yeah, absolutely, absolutely, and it's it's to be able
to showcate o case all these wrestlers that didn't really
get time to shine when they were on the main roster.
Like you said, sometimes even though they were on the
main roster, they didn't get to shine as much as
they will and benefit as much while they're in it
and TNA.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yeah, let's talk about an act. That's interesting because the
Rascals were making a lot of appearances over in NXT.
In fact, they became NXT Tag Team number of contenders
a while ago and then just kind of faded away.
We hadn't seen them in NXT, where like, did they
forget that they did this? Uh Fascium comes in and
kind of interrupts the post match celebration as the Hardies
(07:27):
retain their Championships against the rascals, Fassium comes in making
their peasants felt in TNA, and now we learn that
that's NXT Tag Team Championship match will in fact be
happening but on TNA. Another you know, result of this
this partnership, which I think is very cool, especially for
the people that say TNA doesn't usually get anything out
(07:47):
of the deal or doesn't get as much.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Out of the deal as as NXT normally does.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
I don't really agree with that, but I get I
get where people coming from, but I just think it's
very beneficial for TNA. TNA so much fucking talent, Like
everybody on that rostar is solid, Like there's never an
every time I watch a pay per view, there's never
a bad pay per view in my opinion. With TNA,
I always have a great time watching their matches and
watching their papers. Just missing it has a little bit
(08:15):
of something missing, you know what I mean. It's just
a little tiny thing that's missing.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
It's just I mean, there's gonna be a big thing
missing from TNA going forward. Because while Santana made Josh
allenddder and made Josh Allendedder say I quit in their
match Josh Alexander chose to say I quit to TNA
following the match. Another person that now, I mean, I
(08:41):
don't know ever we're thinking I would. I don't know
if Josh Alexander Roild Rumble is as likely as a
Josh Alelexander NXT appearance, but I brought he doesn't even
go here.
Speaker 5 (08:53):
If if he goes to NXT or shows up at all,
I hope it's not at the Rumble because I don't
think Josh Alexander would get the pop that they're looking
for at a Royal Room Bowl appearance where NXT. I
feel like there would be a good chance of like
this is where he's gonna shine and people, because I
feel like the NXT crowd is so good too, you know,
like they're very good and accepting of wrestlers and like, yeah,
(09:15):
I'm a chance and reacting the way they should. Oh
this person's coming out as a heel, I'm pulling the
shit out of him. Oh this person's coming out as
a face, I'm cheering. Like the NXT crowd is really
good at getting behind and making the viewer watching at
home get behind or against.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Also, also, let's not forget that NXT crowd knew exactly
who Page.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Oh yeah, that's I'm not Yeah, I'm not getting away
from that. But like the crowd, they know right right right.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Xt faith.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
Though I love the North, I don't want them to
tag them. I think Ethan Page is gonna be too
solid on his silver solo. I I don't mind like
the glance or them coming out and talking to each other,
but like, I don't want to reform of the North,
even though I love the fucking North, I don't want
that to happen because I think they're both strong enough
to stand on their own.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
I mean, listen. Also, I mean this kind of gets off,
but not really. But Ethan Page, I want him to
make a royal Rumbo appearance like that needs to happen.
I don't even want to wait a year. Like, I'm
sure by twenty twenty six it'll probably be more certain,
there'll be more reasons. Maybe he'll even be Outmaane Roster
by that. Yeah, but I'll be honest. He's a former
NXC champion, he's one of the biggest names. You've got
(10:27):
him having interactions on TV would see him Punk and
the Rock give him the Royal Rumbo shine and Honestly,
if they did that type of shit would make a
Josh Alexander Royal Rumbo appearance mean something because all of
a sudden, if Ethan Page is in the ring Josh Alexander.
Don't get me wrong, You might be right in the
(10:47):
sense of he won't get that crazy pop up the
night with a rumble surprise, but there will be TNA
fans in that audience. There will be people who know
the North. There will be people who immediately perk up
and they say, oh shit, wait a minute, this could
be fun, right, And if not that, they'd have to
(11:07):
give Alexander a thing where he comes out with the
Royal Rumble commentary goes crazy saying the walking weapon. He's here,
but they'll probably not give him a long entrance because
they would expect a tepid response.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
But then you let him literally go crazy.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Like taking out ten motherfuckers with just different moves, one
after one after one after one, and then have like
he's just standing in the middle of a ring with
bodies surrounding him, and the crowd just goes crazy like that.
Granted you're you're taking a gamble, you know you're hoping
the crowd reacts how you want to reac You're hoping
it all goes according to plan. But those are the
(11:47):
two ways a Josh Alexander royal rumble appearance could work
in my opinion, other than those twos, You're right, it
can't be a royal rumble appearance. Probably has to be
something in NXT. Maybe Josh Alexander versus Obafemi walking weapon.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
I like that. I like that, Yeah, maybe you know, yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
And like if that happens as Ethan Page is kind
of just casually moving away from the NXT title picture,
Josh Alexander comes in and starts going for it.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
That kind of sets.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Up for as you alluded to, a backstage segment where
they kind of give the fans a wink and a nod.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
You know, they pass each other maybe you know, something
like that.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
And then they kiss.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
And then they kiss. There will be no kissing from
Kora Jade and Masha. As we get this continued, we
saw Masha s nsty in the audience. Kora Jade walk
down that ramp, making her her presence felt in another
superstar to cross the line.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
I don't like this term across the line.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Not a fan of it, mean neither, but Like I said,
the only process they treated it to it and the
only the only reason I can possibly come up with
for them committing to that line so much would be
if we're going to get some sort of brand warfare, right.
Speaker 6 (13:10):
Yeah, which I wouldn't mind, especially because I still remember
the excitement I felt when the invasion storyline happened, and
then how bummed I got as that fucking.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Hohle shit just like shit the bed, I mean, but
like I thought, it had so much potential, and so
there's always like I do always enjoy brand warfare.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
Yeah, I could even see, like I miss the days
of Survivor series actually being brand versus brand. I miss
that shit. Like the last really good one that I
loved was when it was SmackDown versus Raw versus NXT.
I thought that was really great. So imagine like throwing
TNA in there a little bit. I think that'd be awesome.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Yeah, and those builds were fun, like they it was
always always it always involved us having to leave even
farther from reality than we normally do. He's wrestling fans
because of the fact that, like it would be a
two month thing that no one would care about prior
or after like they every year they drop it. But
(14:12):
when those when the people would throw on their raw
shirts and their SmackDown shirts invade the other show and
just start taking people out in the fun, that was fun.
And the Becky Lynch, I mean that made her.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Like, yeah, of course, of course, or.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Like I mentioned or Natty Cop and a feel.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
You're gonna say that because I was just thinking the
same thing. But also like when the NXT stuff happened,
like Keith Lee was one of the last guys. I
believe it was Keith Lee and Roman Reigns, Like that
was a big deal.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
That was a big deal.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
That was a big deal.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
To have him being the last against Roman Reigns, that's
a big deal.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
And then Romans gives to him the DAP at the end.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Yeah, that was huge. Speaking of showing respect, Jordan Grace
had her final match with TN a put over a
relatively unknown superstar. Might have heard it, but yet the
(15:14):
biggest talking point is that this was her last match
with TNA, and the TNA locker showed her immense respect,
making her the forever TNA Champion presenting over the belt.
It looked like almost everybody on the roster at the
very least everyone that's very, very very close to Jordan
Grace signed that belt on the back. There were a
(15:35):
lot of hugs, a lot of tears, and of course
a big cake in the face to celebrate Jordan Grace
leaving TNA.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
I love Jordan Grace. She's come such a long way.
I mean, she's always been super talented, but the way
she just transformed herself and made herself such a powerhouse
and such a big deal that everybody knows her and
everybody wants to work with her, and from what I gather,
she's very well respected in the TNA locker room. I'm
so happy for her.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
I mean, I always hear her name brought up in
the same regard as a Chelsea or even going back
to like a Molly Holly, the girls that are willing
to go the extra mile for other girls, women for
no other reason. Then listen, we're in the same locker room,
where we're in the same industry.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
We are sisters. I can help you.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Let's do it.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
I'm excited and listen.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Listen without without getting into it too much. It's no
secret how controversial her opponent, Tesla Blanchard was her opinions
about like there was no holding back. It was very open.
It was not a good secret. It was not a
well kept secret that Join and Grace had issues or
(16:45):
feelings about working this match, but she put her over
like like the queen she is.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
This match was a phenomenal match.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Nobody has questioned Tessa's in ring abilities and Jordan's, of course,
are second to none.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
That's the big thing, because Tessa is so fucking talented,
and you're just like, like, you know what I mean,
you just get so frustrated with it.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
You know what Tessa makes me think of? And me
and you we talk about football all the time. So
this is kind of why I'm going with this. But
you know how like when these football teams are looking
at the quarterbacks, they're not just looking at what they
do on the field, Like that's a small part of
what they look at when they're talking about who to draft,
right they talk about it. Or that movie Draft Day
(17:30):
with the fucking Kevin Costner when he's asking him he's
the guy, why did no one come to your birthday party?
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Or you know, all the yeah questions, You're like, why.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Does this matter? Well, it matters because you might bring this,
you might bring that this might happen, and now all
these things are now affecting the fact that you are
as good as you are on the field or in
the ring. But is it worth it, right?
Speaker 5 (17:53):
Is it worth it for all the other stress? When
you have a locker room that for the most part
gets along with the each other and can work well
with each other and do it, and then you have
a negative cloud coming into your space, and like you
don't want to You don't want to ruffle the feather.
Not ruffle the feather. That's a bad way of saying it,
Like you don't want to disturb the force.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Like if something's good and all this positive ibe, you
don't want that negative energy in your positive world. I
think that's what it comes down to.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
And also, you know what it is.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Also, TNA is in a unique position, and they have
been for a very long time.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
I think at one point TNA wanted to compete with WWE.
Those days are long gone.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
It will never be the number one wrestling promotion, it seems,
and it doesn't even look like they're competing for number
two anymore, at least in their eyes. So they're kind
of like a TV, A GCW on TV, you know
what I mean, Like they're the indie like, you know,
like for it took it took people a long time
to stop referring to TNA as an indie promotion, you
(18:59):
know what I mean. I have had a special camaraderie.
Oh yeah, it's versus everyone. We had to fight for respect.
They didn't want us.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
I'm not gonna lie. For a very long time, I
used to only watch TNA and not WW. Like there
was a time where I was only watching A style.
I'm talking AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, some mooa, Joe Christian,
I even had Kurt Angle was in there, Christian Cage
like all those guys were in there, and like I
(19:32):
was Pete Williams, like I was watching like Awesome Kong.
Like during that time, I wasn't watching w W. I
mean I was watching WWE, but not like I would
like tune in to watch DNA. Like I did a
fucking meet and greet for TNA because I love them
so much, and I drove to Boston like I love TNA.
For a very long.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Time, we used to go to that shows they did.
It's Cyclone Stadium every years.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
Because we thought RVD was a big part, you know,
like I used to go that stuff all the time.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Yeah, so I was.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
I was really in love with him for a long time.
It's just like they're constantly missing something and they're like
a I don't want to say it's a glorified indie
show because that's not the right word, but like I
think the production veron.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Do you know why fix?
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Do you know why RVD joined TNA?
Speaker 5 (20:15):
And because he didn't have to take a drug test.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
I mean that probably had something to do with it.
But at the time, RVD was like doing a podcast.
He really wasn't even doing indie shows. He was kind
of over it. He was in shape and all that,
but he was kind of just doing his thing Hull coke.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
And called him live in the podcast.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
RV didn't know he was gonna do it, called him
in there, told him how great he was, told him
how much he loved him, and RV D you could
hear him on the show like falling in love, like,
oh my god, they're calling into my show and telling
me you want me all right, let's talk off there,
let's talk. And then later he was on TNA television. Yeah,
I love.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
RVD, you know.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
That yeah, Jordan Grace. Uh, Obviously we're all talking about
Royal Rumble appearances, and we're all thinking that her making
another appearance in the Royal Rumble seems logical, especially because
it wouldn't be a CNA appearance. We might get Masha
continuing the tradition of TNA. Jordan Grace wouldn't be in
(21:21):
that category, though, this would most likely be a debut
of sorts, you know, her entering WWE. I personally think,
and a lot of people for I've been seeing a
lot of people online saying, NXT, I kind of think
we already did that. She did that while she was
Knockout Champion. She did that Washington with TNA, and TNA
is who's working with NXT. She's a free agent now
(21:44):
and a made one at that. I say, right up
to the main, I think I've already said this to you,
but I would love it if they just put that
rocket right on her half her Win Lue Rumble, Jordan
Grace versus Rea Ripley at the WrestleMania.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
I'm for it, come on, I'm for it. Also, like also,
it opens the opportunity because and this again isn't knocking NXT,
but Jordan Grace can go with the best of them.
Jordan Grace doesn't need to be in NXT. And again
not insulting NXT, but Charlotte, Charlotte coming back, Becky coming
at back. Jordan Grace can go with these women like
she could go.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Also, like we have like three new superstars that just
hit NXT women. Yeah, the women's division from like the
past month. They just got loaded up with new talent.
One of them is our new NXT Women's champion already, right,
we don't need Jordan Grace, who at the time that
she did lose to who at the time was the
(22:42):
hour NXT Women's Champion.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
She was not at champion, which protected her right.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
You can't have her come in and not just immediately
climb that ladder. And as we've kind of just said, now,
there's no reason for that. So I say, boom main
roster with it, let her play, let her loose.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
I'm with it. Yeah, I strap that rockets are and
send her straight up. I'm with it.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Yeah. TNA Genesis h very good pay per view, ending
with the happiest of happy moments Joe Hendry hugging his
parents with his NC championship on his shoulder and celebrating
with the crowd who helped get him there.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
We, however, did not watch TNA Genesis live.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
No, we did not catch up because we were in
New York City at Hammerstein Ballroom for GCW, the people
versus g c W.
Speaker 4 (23:35):
Uh oh, gc W, this listen.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
I want to start off by saying, GCW and Brett
lauder Dell should be very proud of themselves. Oh yeah,
because that place was packed packed. That place was packed,
filled with GCW faithful people who came there wanting to
see GCW do what they do. And at the end
of the day, that was g e w's goal, Right.
(24:00):
You want the wrestling fans to be excited about GCW.
You want to make some noise in Hammerstein.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
They did that.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
I'm assuming if you're listening to the show, you've already
kind of read reports about what happened to DCW. If not,
allow us to tell you it did not go according
to plan. There was a horrible, horrible injury that happened
the second match, like two matches.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
A live second match. When they went live, it.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Was was pre show, right.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
The first show on the card was the Ultra Violent
Championship in Extreme Championship nine ladder match.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
Right.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
That was the first match, right?
Speaker 5 (24:36):
The first match was that was live? Was not pre
match pre show?
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Was the second match?
Speaker 5 (24:41):
The second match.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Pay per view match?
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Right?
Speaker 5 (24:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Now, and so so let's let's get to that a
little bit, just because as I did mention, we had
a kickoff show, right, and and this is you know
where GCW is giving us stuff before the show even starts.
This was one of the better scramble match I've ever seen.
Speaker 5 (25:01):
I love this. Well, first of all, look who's in it?
Like this is a stellar right, this is a stellar
matchup stellar Like right.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
No, this was an awesome scramble. Uh Marcus Mathers, you
guys might remember that name.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
He is a w W i.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
ID Fuego Dell soul. I was very excited to see
him and rich Swan pot to you.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Yeah, I was like, I mean we were, we were
up all more. We were on the balcony and we're like,
is that rich Swan. We're like, yeah, it is, yeah,
it is Blake.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Of course he hit that trademark dance. No, we were
also like, is that Blake Christian? Because we didn't we
didn't think he was because granted listeners.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
We were high up.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
Okay, yeah, we were higher up.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
We were up there.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
We were in the balcony, uh so so.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
And also we were like right directly across from the entrance,
so when they first come out, they really are very
small to us. We had to wait the ring or
we had a clearer view. But Blake Christian's broccoli ahead.
We were able to notice that a mile. We were like,
that's gotta be Blake.
Speaker 5 (25:59):
It was a little confusing because Blake Christian being on
a GCW pre show is a little weird to me.
I was like, oh, your pre show. Not insulting, but
like I wouldn't expect him to be a pre show.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Right, especially because and perhaps it's because Blake Christian's kind
of he's going where the wind blows him. But I
don't like he. I do look at him.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
As a GCW faith for me too. Most of the
GCW shows we go to he's on.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
He also makes his way to R O H and
aew collision, you know that here and there. But I
kind of look him as just as much GCW as
anyone else. But this was also a night where they
were trying to get everyone, yeah in the building in
the ring as possible the next match in the kickoff,
or at least there might have been a couple of
(26:46):
Kioff matches that we're not we're not gonna talk about.
We can't talk about every match we saw as like, yeah,
at that show, guys, there was so many, so many
but memorable ones. There was a twenty five ish person
Royal Romo match. There was a lot of lot going on,
and they didn't They started with like eighteen twenty people
in the ring, so it was kind of difficult for
us to keep track, and then they had entrances.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
PCO would go on to win that match.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Crowbar was a notable entry showing up in that match. Yeah,
Mercer was a shandout.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
Shane Mercer is so freaking talented. That man is so amazing.
What a pop everybody pop for him because he's just
so fantastic. Anytime he's on the card, I get excited.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Shane Mercer is such I don't get it right. I
don't know why TV companies aren't television, you know, companies aren't.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
House trying to put him on.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
He's agile, he's quick, he's strong, he has a look
like what is going.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Like spoking battery is one of the coolest finishing.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Oh, I love musoal battery is so good.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Like the first time I saw the finishing move Musol
and battery, it wasn't even in real life, it was
in a fucking video game, and I was like, oh
my god, it would be cool if I could see
somebody actually do that move. And then years later Shane
Mercer popped up.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
Yeah, Shane Mercer, Yeah, I always have an eye on it,
Shane Mercer. He's so talented, so good.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Yeah, But the biggest talking point coming out of this
drumble match is that PCO wins it.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
And then they do an interview and he it's weird because.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
I'm trying to think and I don't really remember what.
I don't think the guy asked him was the announcer,
by the way, the ring announcer, And I don't really
think he actually asked him a question. He kind of
just said like, how do you feel or something like that.
And then and then PCO grabs the mic and says,
I'm about to do something that I wanted to do
for a very long time. He goes out of the ring,
(28:46):
he gets a steel chair, he gets a sledgehammer, and
he has his TNA Digital Media Championship and he fucking
destroys it, and the interviewer there, the ring announcer, doesn't
seem to know what is going on, as he's just
boom smashing, smashing, smashing. Eventually him and like another guy
(29:06):
working for GCW, try to eventually do take the sledgehammer
away from PCO. PCO then grabs the mic and talks
about the fact that he sold out the biggest TNA
show in TNA's history, that he sold more t shirts
than anyone in TNA did, basically, that he is the
(29:27):
TNA drawing.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Basically he quit TNA.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Yeah, and the the the ring an answer once again
was taking took the mic from him, did not let
him finish, took the mic from him while he was
doing it. And if you guys were watching the GCW
pay per view live, you didn't even actually see him
take the mic from PCO because they cut the feed
before PCO was even done talking and just went to
an entrance video or something.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
Yeah, it was very weird. It was a very weird transition.
It was. Yeah, it was very weird.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
People at GCW are saying that they had no idea
what he was going to do. And apparently what they
understood was that PCO was going to do or say
something that would extend U a TNA storyline, ah as
the TNA Digital Media Champion, that he was supposed to
do something for TNA. Maybe they thought TNA was lending
(30:19):
him to them, you know, instead of having them out
of pay per view.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
I don't know, but apparently when.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
They saw him do what he was doing and heard
him say what he was saying, they were shook. Did
not sign up for that and immediately tried to, uh,
you know, cut that ship.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
It was. It was a weird time.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
It was a weird h That was the That was
the in Sandlot, one of my favorite lines is it
was an omen when he when he knocks the ball,
when he knocks the stuffing out of the ball, what
was to come? Yeah, this was an omen a sad
omen that none of us picked up on.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
Yeah, it was an omen for the hell. The rest
of the show was pretty much gonna go. I will
say I will before we get into a little bit more.
I think GCW wants to be in New York so bad,
but New York has a lot of regulations against their
type of style wrestling, So a lot of problems occur
with them sometimes because like I've taken people to GCW
(31:15):
shows in New York and they are completely different than
when we go to ac AC. They're bloody, they're discussing,
but they're bloody and discussing and fun because they could
do this sounds awful, but it's like, oh, they can
do chair shots, they could do all this different type
of stuff. In New York. They're very strict of stuff.
They can't use fluorescent too, they can't use a lot
of stuff. They can't do a lot of stuff that
GCW is known for. So a lot of times there
(31:37):
are hiccups with GCW at a New York show and
it lacks something that we normally love when we go
to like an Atlantic City show.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
And not even just in terms of with you know, yes, okay,
they can't do like the hardcore stuff, yeah, but also
in terms of like the Commission and their restrictions. GCW
then putting on their big show of the year, of
all time whatever with all those restrictions, one hiccup happens,
(32:08):
one thing goes wrong, and now they're unprepared for what
the Commission's gonna make them do, and now all of
a sudden, they're literally on pay per.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
View, they're on live TV.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
They're in front of how many thousands of us were there,
and they are on the fly trying to figure shit
out because it's hard to prepare for the commissions in
their restricts.
Speaker 5 (32:28):
It's hard to compare. Like last time I went to
an AC in ACGCW show, Joey Janella got set on fire,
like real set on fire and burnt very bad, and
the show went on like they did a couple other
things and they went on. I mean, granted, this is
someone breaking their leg, but right like this is like
they had to.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Completely stop real quick, guys, just to catch you guys up.
We're talking two minutes in two It was like.
Speaker 5 (32:53):
Two minutes into the match. And this was a big
match build up. This was yeah, this was Effie and
Ali were in a in a tag team. She turned
on him at the GCW show I was actually at
in October. She turned on him. So now they're having
a match to c Whichever one of them wins, it
is gonna face Man's Horner for the GCW title. So
this was a very important match for GCW and people
(33:15):
that have been following GCW wrestlers all this time. So
two minutes into the match, Ali gets hurt bad.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Yeah. Uh, and it was a routine. It was she dived.
She did a suicide dive outside.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
It wasn't even like high.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
It was literally just he caught her the way he
was supposed to, but her foot, her leg just landed run.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
And turned completely around.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
And yeah, I don't recommend you go look the video up.
I mean, if you're you know, if your gnarly, go
for it. But it's not a fun video to look.
It is one hundred percent of gnarly injury. She did
break her leg into places. Luckily, I think if the
post I sent you last night was correct, I think
she's leaving the hospital today. If I'm yeah, I think today, Yeah,
I think so, I mean, but still given yeah, and
(34:03):
they're saying six months she should have to be on crutches.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
I think, well, no, not.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Six months, six weeks, six weeks on crutches, and her
ortho even said it could be shorter.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Maybe it was a clean break that why, maybe maybe
like it was a good clean break.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Did kind of look like it didn't look like bad.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Yeah, so yeah, but that was just and it was
just immediately happening. So all of a sudden, GCW is
losing their second match of the card, one of their
biggest matches, which, mind you, the winner of this match
was gonna.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
Go on to main event, right, And.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I believe, and you know, spoilerler guys, Fie did go
on to win the chan he did, I win this
match because of this and then go on to win
the championship for match Dama. I truly believe, And I
don't know it made sense for Effie to win this
match regardless, but I do think that if Ali Catch
was planned on winning this match, she was also planned
on beating Mance Warner. I think whoever was gonna win
(34:59):
this match was gonna end the night as our champion.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
Probably yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
So so yeah, it was just a huge, huge break,
like no pun intended, uh and the and it it
took them a while to get the stretcher out there
and when we see the video now you instantly know
it's broken. So once again, like I'm not blaming anyone,
(35:24):
I think no things we don't know in terms of
what caused the delay, Where was the stretcher?
Speaker 4 (35:30):
Where was this?
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Is there? Someone they had to talk to before they
get it out. Uh you know what I mean? Do
they need a clear space? Hammerstein Ballroom gets clogged. That
area where the wrestlers are backstage is like clogged with
fans that just are.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
And it's just you know, it's and.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
It kind of it sucked. It sucked the energy out
of the room a little bit. Because also she is
an og GCW original, so people love her, you know,
they absolutely love her and Fie and don't want to
and you don't never want to see a wrestler hurt
during a.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Match, especially that we know Steph de Lander left the
show with her Steph Delander.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
I assume she was not booked for the show.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
I'm pretty sure she was only there in a supporting
play supporting role a for her boyfriend Matce Warner, also
for mac coort don't and and the GCW company as well,
for so long because she wasn't on the show, she
she left. I'm sure others. I'm sure e Fie would
have left if he was able to. Everyone wanted to
(36:28):
be there for her. Then this is where it got
even worse because obviously, as you're watching people tend to
an injury, you don't care take as long. It could
have taken an hour. I truly think the fans would
have been fine in that hour. We wouldn't have gotten restless,
no booing or anything like that. However, and the fans
didn't get restless, and nobody I don't want to No,
nobody did. But it got awkward next because what happened was, Yeah,
(36:54):
so as Ali Cash is actually being stretchered out, Matce
Warner comes out. I'm sure this was impromptu. He choked
slams Fi threw a table just to kind of create
a little drama for the main event. I'm sure give
the camera crew something to film so they didn't have
the show. Ali Catch continue to get stretchered out, So
that's what happened. Then ring gets cleaned up, and without
(37:15):
too much of a delay, we get entrances for our
next match, which is gonna be a six person tag
team match featuring the O G's, and they make their entrances,
but all of a sudden, nothing's happening, yes, and we
don't know why it's happening, And then we quickly realize
(37:36):
that the wrestlers don't actually know what's happening either. One
of the wrestlers I'm sorry, I don't have their names
in front of me at the moment, but one of
the wrestlers on the heel team grabs the mic and
starts cutting a promo, doing a very good job of
just getting the crowd daboo entertaining, talking shit to the wrestlers.
He talked for a long time and it never fell
(37:58):
on the time, did a great job of taking as
much time as he could. But eventually it gets to
the point where like, all right, it's like ten to
twelve minute promo. He can't keep talking anymore, and then
Homicide grabs the mic and he's screaming at the GCW commissioner.
We're assuming he was actually addressing his frustrations to the
Athletic commission for holding up now. Granted, after talking to
(38:22):
a friend of ours who was at the show with
this damon, who has worked production and behind the scenes
at independent wrestling shows, he kind of opened my eyes.
So a good chance what was happening was because of
the New York Athletic Commission. If the medical staff is
already tending to someone, that means they're not on call.
God forbid something happen in this next match. So unless
(38:44):
you have medical staff, medical people ready and able and
on duty for a match, you can't have a match
go on. I assume there were so many people still
attending to Ali catch even you know, fifteen twenty minutes
after we had seen her get stretchered off. You know,
I'm sure that that's what was happening, and so we
had to wait for them to get there, but nobody
(39:06):
got on them. I could ever explain that to us
or the wrestlers. And eventually the wrestlers just started beating
the shit out of each other without a bell, without
a ref Then security like kind of broke that up.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Then it happened again.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
Then eventually the match kind of just started randomly taking
place with no once again, no bell, no announcement. It
kind of just the referee got in and started calling things. Yeah,
you know, we don't know what should have happened, what
could have been done differently. It was just a chaotic
mess caused by a very unfortunate incident. And as Danielle
alluded to the New York Athletic Commission, that GCW's not
(39:42):
used to, you know.
Speaker 5 (39:44):
Being censored. Yeah, like they're they were hardcore censored. So
I mean maybe they could have like cut a video,
had a video promo, or had someone come out. Like
it got a little weird that they were like talking shit,
He's like I already got paid, I'm gonna leave, and
it's like oh okay, and it's like, but what's happening?
And then after that went on for long, then that's
(40:06):
when they came out and we're like, oh, medical staff
is still attending to Ali will be delayed, and it's like,
I feel like that should have been brought to our
attention a little bit earlier, and that way it could
avoid it being awkward for everybody because.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
It was a little transition, right, and then once to
get a credit to gcwah, they didn't take time really
and the rest of the show, it never felt like
there was time removed from a match, that a match
got shortened, that anything happened. Now, granted, that might have
(40:41):
been to the detriment at the end of the day,
because the match of the show did not end until
twelve A lot of people, well twelve thirty, twelve thirty
was twelve twelve thirty. The match the paper you did
not end till twelve thirty. A lot of people did
leave before the main event, and apparently there were meet and.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Greets after the show ended.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
I can't imagine that the wrestlers were able to make
that much off those meet and greets, considering how late
it was and how many people we saw. It seemed
leaving immediately after, if not prior to. But that is
because you had a twelve match card. You lose one match,
but that time doesn't lose from the card because you're
still delayed with that. Then you add another twenty minute
(41:25):
delay to your next match. Not to mention everyone's freaking
out backstage, I assume, yeah, of course, yeah, it was
just it was a tough break. Once again, no pun
intended for GCW, and I think Joey Janella made it
clear online he doesn't care if they ever do the
Hammerstein Ballroom again.
Speaker 5 (41:44):
I think they're cursed with the Hammerstein Ballroom. I mean,
it's great in theory because so many wonderful wrestling shows
have happened there in wrestling moments, but it's okay for
them to not go back there. Also, Hammerstein is always
a pain in the ass with stuff like their security
is a pay in the app's like, not the people's secure.
It's just the way they work. Security is messy, Like
(42:05):
the lineup is messy, Like the fact that like there's
multiple doors and like they only let people in two doors.
Like I couldn't even like walk at the base. I
had to go directly upstairs because we were in the
Like that's not how it was handled very poorly, that's not.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yeah, I do want to I do want to kind
of cruise past the rest of the show, like fine,
just addressing the highlights because because once again, like I don't,
I don't want anyone to think this wasn't a great show.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
It was.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
It just didn't go exactly as planned. But we did
get to see a match that I was very much
looking forward to, SIDNEYA Kiem versus Elie Odel v kingo
oh man, what a good mess sydney A Kim. I
didn't realize it, but he is now undefeated in GCW
eighteen oh and one. Yes, so they are presenting him
(42:59):
as superstar and this match shows exactly.
Speaker 5 (43:01):
Why he's fantastic.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
This match was also in terms of the result. It
was a fun contrast to last year. Danielle, I remember
you talking a lot about the fact that all our
GCW guys lost.
Speaker 5 (43:13):
Ogs all lost last year all of them.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
Now, while I do consider Vi king Go a GCW guy,
he's also very much elsewhere, whereas Sidya Kim is more
of a like. This guy's been GCW for the past
year two however long h so so I did like
the newer guy going over here kind of a little
a little bit of the passing of the high flying torch.
This match killed the next match. This match was fire
(43:41):
where we had ccw OG's little guidos super crazy. It's
a jeery. This crowd was so happy to see these guys.
Speaker 5 (43:50):
Oh yeah, I was happy. I was so happy to
see them. They were really like. Gringo Loco is one
of my favorites. I love that guy. I think he's fantastic,
and as and Jack Cartwheel as well.
Speaker 4 (44:00):
That's oh yeah. This was easily one of the matches
of the night for.
Speaker 5 (44:04):
Sure, if not the first match, the first.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
I was gonna go back to that, yeah match Trema
wins the Ultra Violent Anextreme Championship in a nine person
ladder match.
Speaker 4 (44:15):
That ladder match was excellent.
Speaker 5 (44:17):
That was probably the best match of the night, nobody.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
That was my favorite match of the night.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Yeah, for sure. But yeah, uh, this six man tag
was awesome, super crazy at the age of fifty possibly
fifty one, doing the same move salt he did like
twenty years prior in the same arena for ECW that I'm.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
Pretty sure he's fifty two, which is fucking insane.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
And he teased this also, which was awesome where he
immediately first went to like the firstes but not even
back in the year.
Speaker 4 (44:50):
It was like, I'm gonna do it and that would
have done anything.
Speaker 3 (44:53):
And then he's like nah, and then he climbs up
slowly gets us all into it. Everyone stands up for it.
Speaker 5 (44:59):
I love jac I really do.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
Yeah, it's just New York, New York.
Speaker 5 (45:03):
Sometimes it falls flat.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
Gringo Loco in particular was also getting like like, don't
get me wrong, the ECW originals were supposed to be
the faces of this match, but everyone was the face
in this match. Oh yeah, everybody was excited, crowd pleasing match. Yeah,
and Gringo Loco was very over, like I love how
much over he gets over and over and over.
Speaker 5 (45:24):
He's so good, He's so freaking good. Yeah, this was
really a fun match. It was a very GCW match,
you know what I mean that and the Matt Tremon
match were very GCW. You're like, yep, these are the matches, yep,
this is this is why I was.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
I was a bit surprised, but pleasantly surprised that the
young guns when went over in this as opposed to
the ECW O gcly because GCW does tend to show
respect to to the you know like and sometimes that
respect comes in the form of just you know, standing ovations, bows, handshakes,
but a lot of time that respect comes in the
(46:01):
form of w's and and you know GI giving them
getting their hand raised. We saw Joey Janella take on
an idle of his masato tanaka. Another instance of Joey
Janella getting the win here, but of course showing the
respect afterwards.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
Too, an isle of his That was fun. This was
a fun one.
Speaker 5 (46:18):
I love Joey Janella. I love him. He's just great.
I think I love him too because he always does
his like spring breaks and he book shows two and
he really gets people over. Like the first time I
really saw MJF I'm pretty sure was that a Joey
Janella spring break or something along those lines, or like
Ethan Page like did his clusterfuck and like stuff like that, Like,
(46:38):
I really enjoy Joey Janell and I feel that Joey
Janella is a wrestler's wrestler, you know what I mean,
And he really like helps people get momentum.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
While the indie wrestling movement that the Young Bucks and
Cody and Kenny all put together kind of brought us
to ae W and you know, got us a televised
wrestling product. The independent wrestling movement that Joey Janella started
and and Danny Cage like that is what has brought
(47:12):
us this and it has stayed independent, but it has
gotten bigger. The independent fan base has gotten bigger. There's
more money out there and so and so. Yeah, Joey
Janella deserves a lot of respect and I love watching him.
Speaker 4 (47:27):
Show respect the people that deserve that respect.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
It's just always fun because it shows you the type
of mind he has for the business, and I enjoy
It's it'll be interesting to see his next match at
spring break. It'll be against sab Boo. That's right, sab
Boo showed up. I don't I don't think I've ever
seen Saboo in a superfore. I think that was the
(47:51):
first time I didn't see Sabo in hammer pants, like, well, I.
Speaker 5 (47:57):
Mean it was snowing out. He gonta be wearing hammer pants.
Speaker 3 (47:59):
True story, hold out old came, Caboo came and pointed
out at the ceiling, letting everyone know he is Joey
Janella's opponent. That was a fun one. Another fun one
when we were really looking forward to was the GCW
debut of Tom Pea Stock. Am I saying that right?
Speaker 5 (48:19):
I think it's a pest stock? I don't know, I
think it's pestock.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
The Man, the man formerly known as Baron Corbyn, the
man formerly known as the Lone Wolf. He made his
blood Sport GCW debut in a losing fashion to Josh Barnett.
Speaker 4 (48:36):
I was so happy to hear the response.
Speaker 3 (48:39):
Oh, I was.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
I was a little nervous and he was too. I
was nervous because I was like, oh, because there were
some people yelling happy Corbyn, which whatever, that's fine.
Speaker 3 (48:48):
They were behind us, mind you, yeah, yeah, you wouldn't
have heard those no no no.
Speaker 5 (48:54):
But he I was very nervous that he wasn't gonna
get a groovey reaction.
Speaker 3 (48:59):
But he did.
Speaker 5 (49:00):
He got a really good reaction. Like people pot there
was a possible.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Yeah, even if they boo him, it wouldn't necessarily mean, oh,
we don't want you here. You would kind of just
be well, you were always a heel when we watched
you on TV.
Speaker 5 (49:13):
I mean, look at Maccardonah. When Macardonah first came out
to g CW, the middle fingers everywhere, and now they cheer.
Speaker 3 (49:20):
Right, I mean they still boom.
Speaker 4 (49:23):
Yeah, he was mister p PG, you know.
Speaker 5 (49:27):
So, so this I was very happy that they were
very behind him. And even when he lost, like everyone
gave him a standing Oh there was like the crowd.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
When we say that they were cheering for him, however,
and I'm so sad that I'm not able to accurately
pronounce his last name correctly, but the crowd was his
his full name was getting chanted by the crowd ye
night when.
Speaker 5 (49:50):
He got offense in there was cheering when Josh Barnett
would do something and like they were Josh Barnett, who's
the blood sport. It's his blood sport, you know. So
I was very happy the response that he got.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Yeah, during the standing ovation they gave both men, and
the standing ovation that Barnett extended to Tom. The fans,
we were all Channing please come back. Yeah, and he
did respond to that on Twitter he said, U, GCW
fans are crazy bastards. I will definitely be coming back.
(50:25):
So yeah, it was just great to see him get
that that respect because we were talking when he was
in WWB that all of a sudden it was like,
all right, Baron Corbin needs more respect.
Speaker 4 (50:34):
People are forgetting like what he's been doing. How good
he is this in that? Uh and so yeah it
was it was.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
This was very good. Loved hearing him get a hero's welcome.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
Yeah, it made me very happy at GCW. I mean,
I'm a little we're a little biased because we love
Baron Corben.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
But yeah, of course, of course, which shot for Megan
Baine and Atticus Koger that this match killed it. Megan
Baine in a superstar and we got the return of
someone we thought was retired, Sawyer Rex. Come.
Speaker 5 (51:07):
I love Sawyer Rex. I love Sawyer Rex. She makes
me go feral. I love her.
Speaker 4 (51:13):
Yeah, no, this was I love Megan Baine like this.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
Is oh yeah, this was a really good match. Also
their entrance gear, ah, they all looked so fantastic.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
Yeah. Speaking of entrances, Matt Cardona with Downstate playing him
out live Downstate, coming out saying, ladies and gentlemen, we
are Downstate and we have an announcement. Go fuck yourself.
Speaker 5 (51:39):
I forgot Downstate does his music. I totally forgot Downstate
does Kingdom right. Yeah, yeah, I forgot that they did
mat Cardona's music. I totally forgot, but yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
They they reminded us with a very cool performance. He
came out with a very cool entrance. I love his
half mask. Oh yeah, that was cool. I like that.
Speaker 5 (52:02):
I thought he painted his face At first.
Speaker 4 (52:05):
I thought so too, and then when he took it off,
I'm like that, it's the coolest.
Speaker 5 (52:08):
Yeah. I was like, that's cool, that's really cool.
Speaker 3 (52:10):
Yeah, because honestly, sometimes the full mask is too much
of a commitment. If it's not size correctly, you can't see.
But a half mask that's fine. I could do half
mask called day.
Speaker 5 (52:19):
Yeah, you have a mask when you're a Hurricane, I
have as I should play her. If I go to Rustlemania,
I should cosplay as Hurricane.
Speaker 4 (52:29):
No, you should cosplay as Mighty Molly.
Speaker 5 (52:32):
Yeah, but I need a Hurricane, Like, I can't just
be Mighty Molly.
Speaker 3 (52:35):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (52:36):
You you go with Mighty Molly, and you find Hurricane.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
Nobody dresses like Hurricane, except like you.
Speaker 3 (52:43):
You find the actual Hurricane.
Speaker 5 (52:45):
Oh yeah, I found him in New Orleans.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
On Shane Helms. Or you find May Holly.
Speaker 5 (52:50):
Oh yeah, maybe I will do Molly Holly. That's a
good one. I know it'll be comfortable. All right, Sorry,
I got I digress.
Speaker 3 (52:58):
No worries. Uh so this this, this was fun. This
was fun. Okay, the problem was okay, go ahead, No no, no,
it comes to a problem, Danielle wants first day.
Speaker 5 (53:09):
No, No, it's not even that. It was fun, but
I think the crowd was tired, Like the crowd was
so tired, and that's that's a big one. The crowd
was tired. A lot was there was already kerfuffle over.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
Like first off, first of I feel like the way
we're talking about it, we have to just establish what
happened for anyone who does not know. So for what
what happened that Cardona hyped up for a while?
Speaker 5 (53:33):
Oh yeah, open challenge.
Speaker 4 (53:35):
And open Challenge.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
So so we were coming in not knowing who it was.
So obviously, as wrestling fans, you're expecting us surprise. So
we're guessing Danielle. Danielle convinced me it was gonna be
Chris Jared.
Speaker 5 (53:45):
I thought it was gonna be Chris Jericho for the
r O H title, and I was going to drop
the title on gz W. I was conviensed. I was
compensed that they just had the same I will die
on that hill, I will die on that hill. That
that was a post that happened. And Chris Jericho is
very upset after what happened to Ali, and he went
by her side and he was like, don't post any
(54:06):
pictures of me. I just want to be near Ali.
And because of that, they had a refigure, reconfigure everything,
and this is what happened.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
And then and once again like we know that it
wasn't necessarily gonna be that, but here's the thing. As
the night progresses and you realize, oh wait, they're keeping
Matt Cardona's match until the right before the main event,
that's when you're starting to think, oh, well, it must
be a surprise. It must be Jericho, a rob bandamn,
(54:38):
and he had a New York legend, an ECW legend,
something crazy. And don't get me wrong, for what they did,
I was very sports entertained. Yes, like that's what they did.
Speaker 5 (54:53):
Though, Yes, if if this happened earlier in the night before,
none of the kerfuffle happened, I think it would have
landed a little bit better.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
Do you want to tell him what happened?
Speaker 5 (55:03):
Or should I you you could tell him all chime in?
Speaker 3 (55:07):
Okay? So Mac Cardonah comes out, Jimmy Lloyd gives him
his introduction, Jimmy Lloyd tells us all the respect, the Broski,
the King Match, I'm sorry, the death match God, the
Indie legend. Uh So we do, of course with middle
fingers and all that fun stuff. And then Matt Cardona
(55:29):
of course says, I'm waiting for the biggest, the baddest
opponents you've got. Who is it? And we hear the
song Invincible, which I'm sure wrestling fans get like fucking cringe.
Speaker 4 (55:41):
Memories of when wwus to us that all the fucking time, and.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
It is Tommy Invincible. Now we don't we didn't know
who Tommy Invincible was. Apparently he's growing, he's getting a
growing fan base online.
Speaker 4 (55:52):
He's starting to become a bit of an indecensity.
Speaker 5 (55:54):
From the Bronx. He's from the Bronx Astown hero. Also,
the only reason I knew who he was is because
when Matt Cardona was posting it's gonna be a big surprise,
blah blah blah blah, everybody in the comments were saying invincible,
it has to be invincible, invincible, And I'm like, who
the fuck is invincible? Because my brain, my brain was
going to just incredible for some reason. That's why it
(56:15):
kept happening to me. And I'm like, no, no, no,
they're not talking about him. They're talking about and I'm like,
I don't know who this guy is. Is this someone
I'm not aware of? So when he came out, I
kind of I didn't know who he was, but I
wasn't unaware of the name because people posted it on
his comments right.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
Also in Mat cardonah calling out whoever it was, he
literally said, whoever you are, I'm about the squash, right,
So Toddy.
Speaker 4 (56:39):
Invincible comes out there.
Speaker 3 (56:42):
There was a he got a decent reaction, but there
was also a bit of a crowd goes mild type
of effect where people were just kind of like, wait,
is this it?
Speaker 4 (56:51):
And then what happened was Matt Cardona did kind of
squash him.
Speaker 3 (56:55):
Tommy Invincible got some shots in, he got some action,
and I want to say, what five minutes seven if that?
Speaker 5 (57:01):
If that he did get some stuff in, but if that, yeah,
maybe five minutes they gave us.
Speaker 3 (57:06):
They gave us a little match, but it really was
not long until Matt was hitting his finisher. Invincible was
looking at the lights. And this is where this is
why we brought up that this match probably should have
not have been saved because you're not giving us a
big surprise. They gave us great storyline movement, and this
was the end of a fun segment. But that's why
(57:28):
I didn't need to be end of the show just
because you had a live performance and just because it's
Matt Cardona. This could have been middle of the card
with no it would have been a main event quality
segment in the middle of your card. No disrespect, but
I saw a lot of people leaving the show. Yeah,
after as Invincible was being pinned. This was not the
(57:50):
end of Matt Cardona's matches. This was There are two.
Speaker 5 (57:53):
Matches after that. This wasn't even the second or last match.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
Yeah, people start leaving as Matt Cardona is on the
her and buckle celebrating mac Cardona then gets the mic
and says, bullshit, I'm not fucking done. Should have said
I'm not fucking leaving. That would have gotten a nice
little laughter of the New York crowd. But he says,
I Am not finished. I want the biggest and the
(58:16):
baddest person that GCW's got, and outcomes the biggest superstar
they could throw it at him, which is of course Microman.
Speaker 4 (58:25):
Because Microman can go.
Speaker 3 (58:27):
Microman' is awesome.
Speaker 5 (58:28):
I love I love Microman. A lot of people didn't
know who Microman was, though, I noticed that crowd didn't know.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Same with Tommy Invincible, which is why, like you know
so so Microman comes out. They had a nice, fun
little match, but of course does not take long before
Matt Cardona puts him down, grabs the mic, calls out
yet another person. Now for both of these callouts, his
brosky Jimmy Lloyd is behind him, supporting him as he should.
(58:56):
But for some reason, after watching Microman get his Jimmy
Law has had it and the backstage crew knows Tomi
La it's had it because they know to play Jimmy
Light's music, causing everybody to realize what's happening and begin
chanting my favorite change.
Speaker 5 (59:14):
Oh the best chance, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy fucking lied, Jimmy, Jimmy,
Jimmy fucking line.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
As we're chanting Jimmy, Matt Cardona recognize the theme song,
he starts my wait no Slow Turn, just in time
to see Jimmy Lloyd remove his Broski headband, throw it
on the ground and hit Mac Cardona with a sack rider.
Speaker 5 (59:39):
Now, this is great storytelling for evolving a feud between
Jimmy Lloyd and Mac Cardona. But everybody was so sizzled
out because of the whole thing that this is this,
this is one of the last matches, and you hyped
it up so much that it didn't deliver it as
well as it. Yeah, it's eleven forty five and we're like,
we still have two more matches. Yeah, it was late
(01:00:00):
and it was tiring, and it sucked because this was
good story. I mean, me and you popped, like when Jimmy,
you know, we all pop for Jimmy because we're like,
we don't want The crowd.
Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Went crazy for Jimmy, and the crowd that had remained,
and mind you, a lot of the fans that were
leaving did turn around once they heard Matt on the
mic and they were like, oh wait, something else might.
Speaker 5 (01:00:18):
Have right, right.
Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
I hope that they stayed after Microman realizing okay, that
can't be it either.
Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
But it was a great storytelling for the lead.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
Where is this going for Jimmy Lake to finally turn
on Cardona?
Speaker 5 (01:00:31):
It was, and in my opinion, it was perfect. I
think the placement of this segment was raw off, but
this whole story thing was perfect. Like it no Chris
Jericho on and that's okay, right.
Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
We did, of course, afterwards, get our main event. We
talked to that earlier. But Fie did take on Man's Warner.
You could feel the tension. You could feel Fi and
Man's were both very concerned about Ali Wins just happening.
Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
That was heavy on their mind.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
It didn't matter that they were sitting around for like
three four hours, five hours in the meantime, I'm sure
talking with Steph and getting updates. But they both they
bolted their jobs like champions. They bolted their jobs like,
oh geez, you gotta do it. They show has to
go on, and they did it. Man s Morner puts
at the over and the crowd goes home. Happy with Daddy.
Speaker 5 (01:01:23):
I think I think Daddy should have won the GCW
Championship the last Ammer signed show, right, But I was
very happy Daddy won, like this was a great way
to end it, like we wanted Daddy to win. I
just felt you could feel the crowd was deflated, like
they were tired. It was like, okay, It's kind of
like when Becky won at WrestleMania when we were there
till two in the morning, Like people were happy, but
(01:01:44):
you could feel like people were like, okay, now I
can go home, like we were tired.
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
It was a little tiring. But I'm so happy for Daddy.
Daddy is GCW champ and I am I'm pumped.
Speaker 7 (01:01:55):
I love it, ap sbsolutely so excited for f E
And once again I want to repeat this, GCW should
be very.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Proud of what they did. It was not like the
things that went wrong were nobody's fault, you know what
I mean. Like and then maybe they just don't have
as much experience with on the fly making unfortunately necessary
decisions such as cutting sometime here, sometime there, and we
(01:02:27):
always hate when it happens on a show. But at
the same time, we know, like those are the things
that happen at shows, and so it was just it
wasn't their fault.
Speaker 4 (01:02:37):
And I will happily go to the next.
Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
GCW big show they do, hopefully it's not a Hammerstein.
But the next time GCW wants to take on the people,
we will be there. We're it's like fucking someplace crazy
that I got to travel to spend a lot of
money to.
Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
I mean, we're probably gonna go to the Alantic City
when in March those tickets go and sell Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
That's not big travel, nor spending a lot of money.
Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
So that is it's not big travel because you get
to be the passenger princess the whole time. Why I
do all the driving and you just nappy poo?
Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
So don't even don't even Yeah, No, Atlantic City is
not big travel.
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
What do you mean I'm stuck in traffic for three
and a half hours? Why you take nappy poos?
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
All right, for the record, I do not take nappy poos?
How fucking dare you? Fall? I may not off here
and there, but I wake up.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
The last time you and I went to a c
together and we drove home, you slept like ninety five
percent on the trip. Wait why I was stuck in
traffic for four hours?
Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
Story? Going home is a different story.
Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
Going home. I make no promises, but going.
Speaker 5 (01:03:41):
Home is one prime when I need you because I'm
hungover too.
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Yeah. Well, listen, you got a passenger princess to get
one of those spray bottles like passenger princess.
Speaker 4 (01:03:52):
Oh, I have those face.
Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
Every every time time you can do what you need
to get sleep on me. Renee doesn't sleep on me,
Kyle doesn't sleep on me. Joel doesn't sleep on me.
Only you.
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
You know what good I deserve to sleep in your
car for the amount of times that you refuse to
respect and no touching of my head policy.
Speaker 5 (01:04:18):
But you like it. I fucking hate it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:21):
Listeners know this. I hate touches my head. I don't
she thinks she is exempt.
Speaker 5 (01:04:28):
She's not exempt. That's you know what the funny thing is?
If you just accepted it, I probably get bored and
not do it anymore. But the fact that you like
make a about it, like Saturday, I'm rubbing your hand.
Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
I don't care, but you know how much I hate it.
I can't even pretend to fucking be be like.
Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
I'm okay, I'm rubbing your head on Saturday because it's
my birthday.
Speaker 4 (01:04:49):
I will kick you know you won't, I really will.
You just let me know I will not, but I will,
Actually I will.
Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
This is what I will do. I will sneakily, sneak
were appetizers in your purse or a bag of sorts.
You will find a keishe. You will find an egg roll,
pigs in a blanket.
Speaker 5 (01:05:09):
That's the nicest. This sounds like a present. This sounds
like a present.
Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
Well, sure, if I wrap it up nicely, you're gonna
reach your hand in the hair.
Speaker 5 (01:05:18):
Ah, it's so crazy. He's so crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
Speaking of greasy, see him punk cut It awesomely fun
Royal Rumbo promo this week on RATH. I only say
greasy because his hair not look like it had been washed.
But that is kind of seeing punk style.
Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
I don't think he washes his hair.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
He's gotta wash it sometimes maybe.
Speaker 5 (01:05:43):
I don't know how often do you wash your hair?
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Okay, you're a piece of ship. For the record, I
wash and condition this beard.
Speaker 5 (01:05:52):
Oh, you're very self. I've never touched your beard. Try
I start touching your beard instead.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
I use I use sandal wood sandoo shampoo and conditioner,
and it's not shampoo and conditioner. I use shampoo and
then I use conditioner.
Speaker 5 (01:06:08):
This, Wow, are you fancy?
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
How dare you the nerve?
Speaker 5 (01:06:17):
I thought this was a really good I thought this
was a very funny Royal Rumble promo. I was laughing
a lot. I was like, Sampunk so silly, he doesn't
give a shit.
Speaker 4 (01:06:26):
I agree. A part of me wants like and it's funny.
Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
A part of me watches Seampunk talk and I'm always
kind of like, why haven't the fans just turned him
here yet, because like, and it's broke me wrong, Like
I am, like, I am a fan of what we've
been getting from Sampunk ever since he came back, and like,
I love the match he did with Seth was phenomenal,
and I truly do think there's a very good chance
(01:06:49):
he wins the Royal Rumble.
Speaker 4 (01:06:51):
I've made peace with it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
It is what it is. But a lot of times
he does just see him like a fucking angry old
man screaming about how he's gonna fucking beat people up.
Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
Like, don't get me wrong, I fucking popped for the fucking.
Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
Hulk Hogan, of course, but like that's all he does.
Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
But that's just also but a random thing, like if
we're not looking at it as, Oh, this guy just
wants to get a fun, cheap pop and see how
Texas would respond, which, by the way, Texas, thank you,
thank you Texas.
Speaker 4 (01:07:22):
Right, But like also, like it's.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Just so funny, like you're just in the crowd, just
screaming I'm gonna beat up twenty nine people. No, you're
not man like maybe you're in the ring with like ten.
Speaker 5 (01:07:35):
He's gonna come out at like he goes.
Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
Out twenty nine. Other superstars, he's.
Speaker 5 (01:07:39):
Gonna come out at twenty eight and like and there's
gonna be like four people left.
Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
Like see seven, you'll see seven people.
Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
What number did he come out last time?
Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Twenty six, right, something like that.
Speaker 5 (01:07:51):
Not Yeah, it's like shut up, it's like you're not
coming out, like you're gonna hurt your rotator cups. Sit down.
He's so fun. Yeah, he probably believes it too. That's
my favorite part about him. Well, I mean he came
out of twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
That's what makes him like such a game changing character
in wrestling because he does believe it and he creates
he creates believers, like he like that's why people still
refer to him as the best wrestler in the world.
Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Let's be real, he hasn't.
Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
Once again, his match with Seth was a classic, but
he has not been the best wrestler in the world
for a very long time. No fault of his own
other than you know, not wrestling for like eight years. So,
but but he will still scurrem it to the mountaintops.
Do you think if he wins the wil Rumble, he
beats Gunther? Probably right?
Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
Who else would beat him?
Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
Beat Gunther?
Speaker 5 (01:08:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
Ron Breaker is my pick for who should be Gunther.
Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
But correct, I don't know. No, I think Sampunk is
gonna go after Cody. You think he's gonna go after
Gunther and win.
Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
He's been calling out Gunther nonstuff ever since he came back.
He's literally like, yes, he's kind of always said I
want to be champed, but he's always said gun Through,
I'm coming for you, gun Through, I'm coming for you,
gun Through, You're on notice. So and then yeah, I
think with Cody, there's so many rumors that John Cena
and Cody might face that Cody and Roman, Cody and
the Rock, So, I mean, there's also rumors that Cody
(01:09:26):
might actually drop the title.
Speaker 5 (01:09:27):
With Kevin Owens, So you know, don't get make sense.
I stop that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
Gunther is the most likely challenger for Seampunk to call
out if he does win the Roller Rumble, and or
if he if not Royal Rumble, he might just win
the elimination Chamber.
Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
I mean, it's okay for him to face Gunther, but
I don't want him beating Gunther.
Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
Yeah, I agree, But at the same time, they're not
doing a good job of heating up Gunther, which almost
makes me wonder, like, do you think there's.
Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
A chance in hell no that Gunther loses the jay.
Speaker 5 (01:10:07):
No way, no, no, no, It's just a generate heat
for Gunther because people love jay Uso so much, so
there's gonna be a big yeat cheer all this stuff,
and people are gonna boo anything Gunther does. But gun
They're still gonna get over because jay Uso is so lovable.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
So no, I don't like, Don't get me wrong, I
completely agree a because of what you said, be because
I don't really take Saturday Night main events seriously as
a place where things will happen merely weeks from one
of your biggest pay per Views of the Year, Like, yeah,
(01:10:43):
I can't imagine they would do. But at the same time,
I don't think Gunther's on Royal Rumbles, so they could
do this and just have Gunther win the fucking rumble
once again. I don't actually think they're anywhere close to
making jay Uso champion. It's just weird when they do
these promo segments where like the champion shows no respect
(01:11:05):
to the challenger, makes it feel like he's beneath him,
calls jay Huso a mascot, says people get happy to
sing your song but don't want you know, Like I like,
it always gives me flashbacks to like the Triple H
Booker t promo, yeah, or the many John Cena promos
where he just fucking destroyed motherfuckers I'm Live TV, and
(01:11:28):
it just like I always feel like the way you're
supposed to do this is if the babyface has to
take this bullshit in promo, he has to take that
title too, right. And I also I've been very vocal
about thinking you can't keep putting jus So in these
title matches that he loses.
Speaker 4 (01:11:47):
Like jay us I truly believe should be a future world.
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
Champion, which is why you don't give him a title
match he's not supposed to win.
Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
Right, That's how I feel.
Speaker 5 (01:11:56):
I agree with you. I appreciate how you feel.
Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
I appreciate your appreciation. Let's talk a little bit about
the second week of pent Okay, what'd you think of
his second match with the Pete Dunn don't call me,
but it's so funny.
Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
So I had to do something real quick when he
came out and I was like, who's he facing? And
I was like, oh, Pete Done. I thought this match
was great. I love Pete Done. But Penza, I think
he's looking strong. I think he's looking good. I like
that you're typing very vigorously into my headphones. Yeah, I
like this match a lot. I think they're making Penta
look really good and I'm looking forward to all this
for him.
Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
Yeah. I loved the new pyro that they added, the
like a spiral pyro.
Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
That Oh yeah, that was cool.
Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
Yeah, every and I love when they do a lot
of times you'll see a new superstar make a debut
in week after week, you see little tweaks the wwb's
making to the presentation, to.
Speaker 4 (01:12:58):
The production value. I love when they do that kind
of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
Uh and so yeah, very excited about the continuation of
the push of pentha.
Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Very excited about this.
Speaker 7 (01:13:12):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
One more thing to talk about before we get into
our Saten night Made event predictions.
Speaker 4 (01:13:17):
Kevin Owens is Sammy Zay segment. WHOA.
Speaker 5 (01:13:21):
I was really excited. He came out and I was like,
what's happening here? I got really excited. I was like,
oh man, I was like, what is happening?
Speaker 3 (01:13:31):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Is it happening?
Speaker 3 (01:13:32):
I was like, what is this?
Speaker 5 (01:13:33):
I was very excited.
Speaker 3 (01:13:35):
Kevin Owens is the best?
Speaker 5 (01:13:38):
No, no, no, Kevin Owens is different the best.
Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
That's what I said.
Speaker 5 (01:13:43):
I know, because he's the best.
Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
Yeah, that's what I said.
Speaker 5 (01:13:46):
I know, that's what you said.
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
But I want the way he was slowly walking to
the ring, the way he's looking at Sammy. The manipulation
tactics on full display.
Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
Yo.
Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
Psych teachers and college need to show this segment and
start examining manipulation tactics for their students by examining Kevin Owens.
This was fucking beautiful and everything he said in continuation
with the way Kevin Owens works. Everything he says makes sense.
Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
He tells no lies, No.
Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
He never tells a lie. He always tells the truth.
Kevin Owens needs some gold on him asap. I also
love that he walks out with the ego belt, Like
what are you doing? He's like, I'm so used to
wearing in my opinion, Like when I watch that, I
just thought, I'm so used to wearing gold that I'm
just gonna wear this because it feels comfortable and it
feels right.
Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
But and like with Kevin Owens talking to Sammy about it,
and he's like, listen, yeah, I hate Cody because he
teamed with Roman Reigns. But you probably think I hate
you too, Like no, because you're a forgiving person.
Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
You forgave Roman, you forgive me.
Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
And I know that means that you're gonna you're gonna
you're gonna help me, right, because I mean I me
and you way closer than you in Roman, and you
help him. Like just the way he was the voice
he was using, just everything was masterful. Heaven is the
MVP of WWV programming.
Speaker 5 (01:15:13):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. He just knows to talk and
he knows what to do right right, and he makes
it believe he's a manipulator.
Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
I also speaking of so good that Seth Rollins Drew
McIntire match was, Oh, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:15:29):
Those men are so beefy. I was like looking at
their pectoral muscles and I'm like, you guys are so big,
so beefy. They're so beefy. Like I was like, there.
Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
I know you didn't do it on purpose, but I
can't ignore the segue. First match, We're gonna Saturday Night
Man Events. It's gonna be a big E classic. It's
gonna be Bronze Roman versus Jacob Fox, who we first
got teased this match from SmackDown. I was I was
(01:16:00):
pleasantly surprised at how excited.
Speaker 4 (01:16:03):
The crowd was for this interaction.
Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
Yeah, I feel like his pops can go either way
these days. But bron Stroman got a big pop, and
the stare down between the Monster of All Monsters and
the Samoan Werewolf got a nice response.
Speaker 4 (01:16:22):
This this match is coming in with a lot of steam. Danielle,
who you got?
Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
Ooh?
Speaker 5 (01:16:26):
Who do I have? I have Jacob Fattou because Jacob
Fatu is on another level. He's insane. Oh, this is
our first this is our first prediction of twenty twenty five.
What are we betting on? Are you getting a tattooed
this time, even though you're supposed to have never did.
Speaker 3 (01:16:41):
Bro, I would have gotten that tattoo if you didn't
take advantage of me in a drunken state. I still
got over that, Danielle.
Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
You need to stop.
Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Take advantage of people when they're drunk.
Speaker 4 (01:16:51):
And that is not all.
Speaker 5 (01:16:52):
You don't like say that on like our recording. That's
a little like, let's not say that because you got
the Let's not say.
Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
That bringing up the tattoo back because I'm not over it.
Speaker 5 (01:17:03):
Maybe maybe we should rephrase that a little bit. Yeah, yeah,
let's not say that.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
Jacob Jacob I two and bronz Stroman is. This is
gonna be a fun one because bron has him like
I think, are they the same height or as Bron taller?
Speaker 5 (01:17:21):
I'm gonna say Bron is taller.
Speaker 4 (01:17:24):
Bron's like a little tall, but not by much.
Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
But Jacob battoos I'm looking at so like Jacob bot
to is explosive. So this is gonna be a fun one.
But yeah, we both got Jacob on this one. We
did find out.
Speaker 5 (01:17:39):
Jacob sorry, broun Stroman's six eight and Jacob Batu is
six to two.
Speaker 4 (01:17:47):
Whoa That's why I had to laugh.
Speaker 5 (01:17:51):
So no, I don't think it's always It's always.
Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
Funny how powerhouses like I. I'm always shocked at the
amount of people. Miss is tall like missus I think
taller than rye Back, missus taller than Jacob Fato, Missus sixth.
Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
Three, miss this is Missus six two.
Speaker 3 (01:18:14):
I think missus six five, Missus not six five missus
six five?
Speaker 5 (01:18:19):
What how you say you're taller than me? And he's
six two.
Speaker 3 (01:18:23):
For the record, I didn't say I was taller than you.
You're just not taller than me. So if you are
six eighth, I mean five eighth, that means I am
five eight. I'm not taller than you, but you are
not taller than me. Do we have different heights? How
does that fucking sense?
Speaker 5 (01:18:36):
Somebody that's saying funny, you're so silly.
Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
Tells me on five six, tells you you're five eight.
We are the same height, So thank you, Daniel five eight.
Speaker 5 (01:18:51):
Okay, Brady got me fucked up? So, uh who were
we up to? Oh Ria Ripley versus Naya Jacks? Brady?
Who he got that? That's how you do it? He said,
Now who you got? I clearly have Yeah, Brady, who you.
Speaker 3 (01:19:08):
Got Ripley, I rear Ripley.
Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:19:12):
I I.
Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
Am confused that they established that Bailey is now a
part of the Raw roster. Oh yeah, that's weird her
facing Naya Jacks. However, they did not make that same
descincsion for Nya Jackson. Also now Nya Jacks is fighting
for the Raw Women's Championship, but once again, yeah she
(01:19:34):
still is. Once again. I did predict this, like I
did say there was probably a good chance they'd split
up Tiffany and Nyamber after Tiffany became shamp like. I
don't think they're gonna actually have them feud, So it
makes sense for Nya to be on Raw too, But
I just I only heard them say Bailey's on Raw.
They did not specify Nyas. However, Nya is now number
(01:19:55):
and contender. Regardless, this is gonna be a fun one.
But rear Ripley's gonna take it. I I would guess
with a top rope riptide, I am.
Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
Gonna say, if we get a rematch of the last
time they face each other, this is gonna be a
really good match. Because I was very I think it
was in Australia right where they had the match. That
was a great match between the two of them.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
I think the Australian hometown girl.
Speaker 5 (01:20:19):
Yeah, Ria Ripley really brought out Naya Jackson like a
great way. So I hope like we get a reoccurrence
of that.
Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:20:27):
No.
Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
Also, people talk about how Nya is, you know, I
don't even want to say like reckless or whatever. It's
just a lot of times the size discrepancies. So obviously
you have to be able to control how much you're
giving if you're working with Zelina Bega compared to a
Bianca Bellair or whatever. Nya has improved immensely in that department,
(01:20:47):
But when she's facing Rea Ripley, it's kind of kind
of when someone like Seamus gets to face Gunther, he
doesn't have to hold back, not that I think he does, right,
but like James just I can go in because he
can go in.
Speaker 4 (01:21:00):
We ripped in Naya Jackson.
Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
They're gonna go in. Speaking of going in and speaking
of Seamous, interconding Championship bron Breakers got on the line,
Seamus once again trying to complete and make himself a
Grand Slam champion he has never won.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
The other Kyle championship.
Speaker 3 (01:21:16):
Will he do it?
Speaker 5 (01:21:17):
Dan Yelle, I have a hot take on this. This
is what I think is happening. I think Seamus is winning.
I think I think Seamus is winning because I think
Seamus is going to complete his his collection and I
think right bron Breaker is going to win.
Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
Get the fuck out of here.
Speaker 5 (01:21:40):
This is what I this is my hot take.
Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
What you're gonna take the thing that I've been praying for,
the thing I predicted last year, but if now restinded
this year because I don't think there's a chance and they.
Speaker 5 (01:21:50):
Actually you take that and run with it, uh huh,
because they gotta get the back. That was a good finger, right,
got it, That was a good one. They got to
get the belt off him so he could Why is
he gonna win Royal Rumble if he's already the intern
Continental champion. So yep, I think that's how it's going.
I think Seamus is going to come under contel champion,
and I think bron Breaker is gonna win.
Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
For the record, I would love that.
Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
I would love that, Thank you for the record.
Speaker 3 (01:22:18):
I would be more inclined to buy in if there
was maybe three weeks until the rumble, as opposed to
being right around the corner. I feel like they would
that need to heat up ron Breaker because the only
people really heat it up. I mean, we've got the
usual suspects, right, you got Punk, You've got seen it,
you got Drew, you got set listen. I love it.
Speaker 5 (01:22:41):
I also think Bron is going to be the person
to eliminate the most people.
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
I could go with that as I think he think
he's going to have a good performance. I think he's
gonna have a big performance in the Royal Rumble. Whether
he's intercondal champ or not.
Speaker 5 (01:22:56):
I think he's gonna be good. I think he's going
to be our next Cane. You know, I know Roman
beat Kane right with most eliminations, I think, or whatever,
But I think Bron is gonna remember when Dirty Dom
a limited Nda braun Breaker. That was wild, that was.
Speaker 4 (01:23:11):
Fun, and then he took a spear outside for his troubles.
Speaker 5 (01:23:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
I did see a suggestion on Twitter that I liked.
It's that Pat McAfee joins the Rumble. It's in Indianapolis,
the same place he played for the Colts. Crowds going crazy.
He gets eliminated by a masked man who pops up
out of nowhere, that man removes his mask to be
grave heat. I love that. But Pat McAfee was already
(01:23:40):
in the Royal.
Speaker 5 (01:23:41):
Rumble last year.
Speaker 4 (01:23:43):
Yeah, it'd be fun.
Speaker 3 (01:23:44):
It'd be a waste of a Royal Rumble spot, but
at the same time, they always waste for the Rumble spot.
So if you're gonna do it, why not have.
Speaker 4 (01:23:49):
Corey Graves throw Pat's pat ass off the top?
Speaker 3 (01:23:52):
Prof that'd be fun.
Speaker 5 (01:23:55):
Are you gonna tell me who you think is winning.
Speaker 3 (01:23:59):
This May? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:24:00):
You didn't tell me.
Speaker 3 (01:24:02):
I have to make a prediction too.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Yeah, we're the heal marks, not the heal Marker.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
Honestly, you kind of just fucking like, I don't so
new on the first half. I'm I'm not buying in
that that bron Briger will actually with the Royal Rumble,
even though I think he fucking should perfect person for it.
I mean, haven't begun their WrestleMania. I'm not sold on
that yet. But you kind of did just sell me
on Seamus actually becoming Icy Champion. I feel like I
(01:24:33):
feel like they already kind of like they want to
give bron Breaker a good Icy rain, but they kind
of already fucked up his first one by getting it
to Jay for two weeks, and now there's kind of
something missing, so you might as well just put it
on the big man, Seamus, who's deserved something for like
way too long. Now. Bron Breger without a title is
(01:24:53):
actually way more dangerous as far as not becoming Superstar
than Bronbaker with the title this point.
Speaker 4 (01:24:58):
So I actually love it.
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
I'm going with you.
Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
I'm thinking Seamus takes it, And it was my idea
all along.
Speaker 5 (01:25:04):
What a fiber, You're a fiber? Yeah, I always Seamus
is a very interesting character to me because I remember
when like twenty twenty came out and they were talking
about the top twenty wrestlers of all time and like
big and Seamus was on there and everyone's like Seamous,
and it's like, do you know Seamus's accolades? Like have
you looked at Seamus's career in the last twenty years?
(01:25:27):
Like Seamus puts in the work.
Speaker 3 (01:25:29):
Man, what is he is?
Speaker 5 (01:25:31):
He?
Speaker 3 (01:25:31):
Also three time? Also, I maintained during Romans, like when
Bloodline was really cooking in Romans Reign was raining, Seamus
was the most believable person.
Speaker 4 (01:25:42):
To actually take on.
Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
Because of the fact that a Seamus and the Brawling
Brutes had just gotten organically over simply four in ring
performance correct mostly Seamous and Pete Dunn. But don't take
anything away from Ridge. At the time, the Brawling Brutes
were operating on all cylinders fight night. What they're saying,
the banger after banger and every person the challenge Roman
had no backup. Seamus was the only person that had backup,
(01:26:06):
only person could have taken him on, and they never
even gave us the fucking feud. Yeah, and Seamus knows
that he should have been considered for that. It's bullshit.
He wasn't, so let him.
Speaker 5 (01:26:16):
Yeah, let him get the inder. So I'm going yeah,
Shamus all the way. Yeah, guys, thank you so much
