WrestleMania called the Elimination Chamber just around the corner. Danielle,

Yeah, I like the Elimination Chamber. I love the top
angle and it's.

Speaker 3 (01:19):

you're like, who's it gonna stop on? I love that.
I like the eliminated Chamber a lot. Boom boom boo boop.

I like the elimination Chamber. I've always felt that maybe
would hit different if it wasn't the match before Mania.
A granted, really well, no, Granted, I do like the
fact that they both Chamber matches this year are strictly
number one contender matches for the champions unclaimed it royal rumble.
I do like that, but typically that's not always the case.
A lot of times they have championships defended in elimination

Chamber and going into Mania. It's one of those where
you don't always as a fan, want a title change,
right and also sometimes as a fan, you don't always believe,
even if they are facing five people in a violent structure,
that there will be a title change. So it's one
of those. Granted, I do like this year is one
of the first in a while where I'm very excited
because of the format, because of the fact that these

matches have high stakes and all of the wrestlers involved
in both matches have made this deal just as big
as a Royal Rumble match, justifiably so, because they're both.
They're all competing for that championship opportunity at the Show
of Shows.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
I like, yeah, I definitely like it this way because
it's like, Okay, you're tried so hard to win for
Royal Rumble, and now the Elimination Chamber is another option.
It's like, oh, I didn't get Royal Rumble, but now
I can do this and it's more intimate and you
have And what I like about the elimination Elimination Chamber
is that you have to actually compete to get into
the Elimination Chamber.

It's not like the Rumble.

Where you kind of just declare you're going into the
Royal Rumble, right.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I mean granted, for the big names that would get
qualifying matches, this is essentially an easier way to get
that spot at WrestleMania than a Royal Rumble, where you
have to hope you get a good spot. Then you
have to you know, try to last outlast other people.
It's a lot of luck involved, whereas with the Chamber. Yeah,

if you're a big enough name that you get a
match that you just had to beat one person. You
beat one person and then boom, now you're in a
chamber match where you have a chance of possibly getting
like the sick spot, you know, letting these people hurt
themselves get thrown off chambers and you can kind of
watch the madness take.

Notes, right, I guess, But I do.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
I do like that you have to compete for it
because it shows more like more effort. I feel that
you have to actually compete and beat someone in order
to get to the chamber.

Right, definitely, unless, of course, your name is John Cena,
in which case kicked so much ass, so much ass
through your career that you tell Triple H listen, you've
only got five spots to fill it, right, I got
it right.

But I also like that they like justify that, and
Triple H did be like, yeah, John doesn't.

Have to qualify, like he's in. Like I like that
because like he paid his dues, he's allowed.

It would be like undert coming or anybody else like
that coming back and being like, Okay, I'm going to
do a spot.

Also, it's one of those where like the biggest opinion,
and this will sound at bit cliche, but the biggest
opinion in terms of who would that piss off is
the fans. For example, if Logan Paul, Let's say his
schedule was just filled for this time, but they want
him in Chamber, so they just made up some bullshit,
you know where Adam Pierce. So he's just kind of

like Logan's just in. I feel like then you just
hear a whole bunch of like the fans wouldn't like that.
With John Cena. The fans do want John Cena in
this match. Fans want John Cena in the championship match WrestleMania.
Fans want John Cena to actually win his seventeen championship.
And at this point, fans are understanding that. Listen, even
though yeah, we kind of thought that sena retirement torment

he was actually gonna be back this year where we
didn't realize he's got a film a movie now. But
you know what, all right, bro go ahead do it.
Just come back for Champer, come back for Chamber. Yeah,
and then after Chamber, come back until Madia.

Man, that seems like the easy life.

Well we don't, I mean, we don't know what kind
of movie he's filming.

It's probably an action movie. Where he doesn't do his
own stunts anymore.

But maybe it's a family comedy where he's playing where
he has to take care of kids because the parents
are neglecting and he's got to be the mister nanny.

The Triple H was in a movie where like either
he was in charge of kids for like the day,
he might have been like a bus driver. Triple H
was in a family comedy that was like essentially very
similar to The Past Fire, which is of course very

of Predictions to get to We will obviously do that
towards the end of the show. But one thing we
can talk about that has an elimination chamber implications is
the latest wants and needs of Dwayne the Rock Johnson,
the Final Boss, who in what felt like about forty

five minutes. I know it was less, but it just
felt like such a long segment. He was going on
and on and on until finally arriving at Cody, I
want your soul. Okay.

So my thing with the Rock has always been like
he goes way too long, like you said, which felt
like forty five minutes, And I feel like with this
new era that being on Netflix, he feels like, especially
when he tweets and stuff, he's this was SmackDown, SmackDown.

Sorry not right.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
So I granted, I believe it could be. I'm almost
positive that in like other countries, they are actually getting
it on Netflix. They're getting smacked down and raw.

I just meant this new era, this new era of cursing,
that I feel like anytime he feels like he can curse,
he will just to get a cheap pop from like
twenty year old boys who are adolescents and be like.

how you know Rock is good at coming off of
stuff on the fly because he used to do it
back in the day in the Attitude era. That was
what they did, just right, cloth floads. And of course
he's an actor, so you think the improp skills are there,
of course, and they are. With that said, we can't
forget when he originally came back for the program with

Sina and famously had points on his wrist, and I'm
pretty sure he has not done that since. And so
like basically I'm saying that maybe he's not actually as
good as he used to be in terms of sure
he can improv, he can think on the fly, but
if he's literally in a theatrical performance in front of
thousands of people on live TV, on the spot, in

the ring with one guy who's his only job right
now is to essentially stare at you while you explain
to him why he's here. He had a match, you
canceled his match solely so he could be in the
ring with you. And first you come out and you
announced that WRESTLEMANI will be in New Orleans next year,

God about time always be in New Orleans.

And that has spoken as two people who don't live
anywhere close to New.

and then we very quickly realized, oh wait, no, New

back to WrestleMania when it's to New Orleans. And it's

I don't know if I'm the only one, but when
he slaps his wrists and shows the forum, I never

the rock starts singing, I always I don't know why,
but it's like always cringed to me just because it's
like and he has a good voice. But unless you're
like presenting it as a rock concert, I don't really

Then also, while him and Cody are going back and forth,
he's talking about how him and Cody are friends and

shows a picture of their mom's hanging out, so it's like,
wait a minute, am I supposed to hate you? Are
you guys friends? What's going on? Then in the middle
of still going back to like consulting the crowd, he
also snaps into it and it's like I thought it
was heelish, but I'm watching it over and it really
was him just kind of being like I don't want
to use the wrong term, but him just having multiple
personalities where he's like, oh, by the way, people, Mowanna

just got a billion Thank you for that, truly, from
the bottom of my heart, thank you for that. And
then we'll just you know, snap his fingers and hate
them again, and it's like, what is happening? And then
on top of that. And this is kind of like
the root of the issue where I think he thinks
all of this is okay. He can just be Dwayne
Johnson and then literally take a step to his right
and be the final Boss. On Twitter, he literally tweeted like,

it's such a joy and pleasure to be able to
play this final Boss character. See you all, Elimination Chamber.
And it's like, bro, just play the character. Don't. Don't
tweet us that you're playing the character. Don't bounce back
and forth between thanking the crowd for giving your movie
a giant boost to then telling them in may all
have STDs and that can stop singing with the rock.

Also, that movie wasn't even nominated for Best Picture, so
it should be quiet.

story that the company's running with since this segment, I
don't hate it. It is very intriguing. It certainly does
scream of last year's WrestleMania, where the Rock kind of
decides Hey, by the way, I'm free, So let's make

this happen. That happen, and like wait till after the
royal rumble to do it. So now all of a sudden,
moving pieces are in play, and we're left kind of
scratching our heads, like what's going on here? Roman Reign's
name is still not coming up for like WrestleMania matches.

Weird.

I don't know what's going on with that. I think
I saw him do like a promotional thing. It might
have been old with him and Paul Hayman, but like
I'm hoping he's coming back for that. But it's just
all these all these things are going on, and so
now Rock wants to come in and play big bad
boss to Cody saying I want your soul. Everyone. We're
now reading into the lines because that's all he gave us.

So now we're writing this story saying he wants a
corporate champion. You know, we want to we want to
do a spin on that seth Rowlinson Raw is always
already kind of taken the first spot of Angel on
the shoulder of Cody saying you better not. How dare you.

Don't do it? Yeah? Yeah, I just this is a
very weird I don't know.

Also, the big thing that annoys me with The Rock
coming into especially Cody, is it takes it. It diminishes
Cody as a champion. He's supposed to be the top
notch of this of the company because he and that brand.
So it just doesn't make sense to me why you
have like it makes Cody look like a chump.

I don't. I disagree on that front. I do.

It's okay to be wrong. I just it just doesn't
make sense to me.

I just so I disagree because of the fact that
Cody is the champion, he is the top guy, and
it is because of that that The Rock is seeking
him out.

The Rock's not going to anybody else. There's so many
A listers on the current roster right now as we
get close to the WrestleMania, he is going after the
top prize, which is Cody. He's saying, and he's saying, listen,
you are the top of this company. But I I'm
the Rock. I was a top this company twenty years ago.

I was a top this company ever since. I to
the point where now I'm your boss. I'm a top
of Hollywood. I run the world and I want to
give the world to you, Cody, you just have to
give me your soul. So I do disagree with you
on that front. Now, granted, where do we take it.
Sure Cody might look like a chump in terms of

how this ends. I see, you know, I see the
ways they could go where Cody doesn't come out of
here looking so green, and your argument what could certainly
be made. However, just from this scenario, I don't think
Cody loses anything from this. He's kind of like the uh,
you know, he's the lady. Everybody wants the hand of

what I would want to know.

If I was the rock, I would have went for Gunther.
I feel like Guntherer could be manipulated a little bit.

Better nobody's manipulating Gunther. Gunther would take the praise more.
Guntherer would kind of be like, of course you want me,

But then I think Gunner would be like, all right,
I'll do it, and then gun there would turn on him,
and then he would be top dog and then he
beat up everybody else.

Gunther would be an intriguing option only because you're right,
Gunther would take the offer. But something about Guntherer would
let us know that Rock can't trust him anymore than
Gunther can trust Rock. Whereas Cody, you just kind of
look at this poor little lamb ah just getting lead
to slaughter.

Oh yeah, pretty much.

That's exactly right, Yeah right, I think, And it's I
don't like about it.

I mean, it almost kind of feels like that's what's
happening now, right, because I don't think anyone actually Granted,
I'd love to at least see for a little while
what a not even a heel Cody, but a conflicted
Cody would look like Rock also, and I think this
is the biggest thing that I did not like about
the segment. But Rock really gave us no details. We

don't know what the fuck any of it means. I
want you to be my champion, what does that mean?
I want your soul? What does that mean? We're all
reading between the lines as wrestling fans. We're all writing
what we think that means, blah blah blah where they're
gonna go, But we don't know what the fuck the
Rock wants really, Right, this was kind of.

Like what happened last year.

Last year, we thought it was gonna be this thing
where it's gonna be The Rock versus just Roman like solo,

We're like, can they really go anymore? Not solo? So
go as solo as in just one on one. So
I feel like they do.

They did that a little bit last year, where this
time around is even more vague because they don't they
probably don't know what they're doing and they're just like

Hated hearing The Rock bring that up during the segment,
by the way, yeah, like actually talking about it, especially
because like the way he brought it up was awkward.
The way he put it was awkward, and it was
it's in and I'm like wondering, are you are you
just giving this to us? Like are you giving a
shoot information? Are you throwing a little bit out? Are
you trying to rewrite history? All of it? I don't want,

like stop talking about that. That whole thing was ridiculous.
You talking about your side of it doesn't make you
sound any better. The fact that you just woke up decided,
you know what biggest match in history me versus my
cousin for the championship that should happen? Oh wait, you
won the Royal Rumble and you and you don't want
to just give me your match, you know like that,

like no, bro, like like stop reminding us that they
certainly don't compare it to whatever the fuck is happening now.
So yeah, it's certainly uh interesting what's happening, But a
lot of intrigue is added to Cody and whatever decision
he will or won't make, the uh it seems like
that's gonna happen in elimination Chamber rocking. Cody will be there,

so we'll probably get some some news on that front.

Talking about the Rock will take us to the Rock's
family bloodline two point zero. They're okay, aren't they? Who
knows Jacob, Batsu and Solo that relationship is changing every
single week much? I love them all? Yeah yeah, Like
Tamatonga doesn't get talked that enough because he's kind of

just crazy with Jacob at this point, but like no, no,
and like with because now we're getting the Jacob and Solo,
so Tama's not getting the mic as much even in
those pre entrance promos, like we're not hearing yeah yeah,
yeah yeah as much as like the crowd goes crazy
for him and for that right now, the emphasis is
on these two. Uh and then and then once that

gets clearer, maybe Tomatongo will step into the forefront as
his allegiance gets questioned. On either end, Solo is the
one who brought him in, and brought him in first,
let's not forget MFT so they're you know, there's certain
a question mark could be had. Maybe Tomatonga's loyalty does
lie with so low. I wouldn't want to see that.

I think Tomatonga and Jacob Botsu are just two bad
boys that just like they're.

Granted, these days, it's easier to trust what creative is
gonna have built for a new superstar if they are
a member of the bloodline right and are coming in
with that story kind of already in place, do you,
But you're one hundred percent right. They could have easily
gone either way. And also Jacobot two has just hit
so beautifully with the crowd. The crowd has turned in Babyface.

I do not know the plan was to kind of
begin the cracks forming to this trio or or this
group rather because we should we should have Tongue Aloa
hopefully coming back soon. But yeah, like, I don't know
that the split was supposed to happen this quickly. But
Fatsu cannot be a heel any longer. You just have
