the sail chair at her says aboutup falling help. He's called, he's
fast, he's starts. If youlook for greetings, salutations. What it

(03:08):
is? God damn, what itis? People? We just September the
first, the first day of Septemberon the year none of us want to
remember twenty and twenty twin right, what it is. Had a bit of
a long day to day. Hadto make a little trip with my pops

(03:30):
to go see some family members.Had to drop off some things. I
can't tell you what they are.You know, we had to go.
We had to go deliver the thingto the guy. You know what I'm
saying to the guy. We hadto go deliver that thing to the guy.
Um down in the area Peachland,Polton area of North Carolina. And
if that sounds country to you, motherfucker is because it is. That is

(03:52):
deep country. Um. But Iwas reminded of a story that happened a
while back. And there's a conveniencestore that I stopped in, and this
was years ago, and I hadthis was what I had, the green
hair, and so it goes backthen and I stopped by the store and
I walk in and there was agentleman behind the behind the counter and he

(04:17):
goes you, And at first thatsounded hostile. So I wasn't sure where
this was going. I go,yeah, he goes, I know who
is you? He goes, You'remy favorite white boy. And I was
just started. I laugh every timeI think about that. And he was,

(04:40):
I hope that offense. I hopethere's somebody here that gets offended by
the white boy term. So Idon't get offended by nothing. But that's
just me. Does that mean it'snot offensive? It just wasn't offensive to
me, And and I just startedlaughing. And he was he was from
India, and so then I toldhim I'd actually been in India. I've
been to three different cities in India. He was all excited about that because

(05:01):
he doesn't mean a lot of Americansthat have been to India. And you
know, he was a wrestling fanhe wasn't expecting me to have been there,
and I don't know. It wasjust really funny and I think about
that. That's one of those storiesI think about every single time I drive
past that store. I know whois you? You're my favorite white boy.

(05:25):
That's fucking great. Um. Yeah, but what a week. We're
just being some been some sad newsagain and you know, as if this
year hasn't been awful enough, acouple more losses I need to address.
I want to give a SENDI sendmy her vibes, my thoughts, my

(05:46):
condolences, all of that to theHero family. Dave Hero, one of
my co hosts on Primetime with HurricaneHelms, the other podcast that I do.
Um, he had a big lossin his family this week. And
also when they send the Herd vibesout to the Armstrong family Road Dog and
Scott Armstrong or the two I knowthe most. Um, you know,

(06:11):
I know those guys, and man, just they lost the mother earlier this
year and now bullet Bob, youknow, and man, what a year,
what a year for them? Thatsucks, man And anyway, sending
my positive and heartfelt thoughts out outto you guys, and I hate it.
I hate having to say these thingsand then we end up losing the

(06:33):
Black Panther Chadwick Boseman, which wasdamn. It's weird. And I know
I've talked about this before. Iprobably will mention it every single time it
happens. But it's just weird whena celebrity that you don't even really know,
you don't even know, but youappreciate their work so much, and
when they passed it like it affectsyou too, you know, So there

(06:57):
is a weird connection, you know. So I don't know, man,
that one, That one really sucks. Man. I think that took a
took the steam out of a lotof cells on a lot of people.
And is it the wind out ofthe cells? Why did I say steam?
Steamboats? The steamboats have cells?I don't think um So anyway,

(07:20):
Yeah, I don't know. Idon't know what to say about that man.
And to find out he'd had youknow, cancer for a couple of
years, you know, kept it, kept it to himself, kept the
fight to himself, and continue tomake appearances and and all of that stuff.

(07:42):
Man, meanwhile having that struggle andwhat man, that is a I
don't know that's something. There's somethingto be admired there, that that level
of strength, you know, manfucking panther. Oh wow. So yeah,

(08:07):
that's um, it's hard to followthat, you know, it's hard
to follow the uh I want to. I started off hot with the White
Boys story and then it got intothe losses. But uh yeah, anyway,
that's uh, it's kind of clearthe air, deep breath. I
got my we had my fantasy footballdraft season, uh, fantasy football draft

(08:28):
night for this season, I decided, and it was with a heavy heart,
that I'm going to retire the MightyTerror Dacos, the Tera Dacos with
my team ever since I got Fantasyfootball. Won the championship with them.
Um, and then I was goingto try to duplicate that championship and I
didn't. And when we did thedraft this week, we got a new

(08:50):
a new member of the team,um, a new member in the league,
i should say. And then somebodymentioned we should all just get new
team names, and so I waslike, you know what, I'm gonna
do that. So I came upwith my here it is you guys ready
drum roll. I probably literally couldhave asked Jojo to put in a drum

(09:13):
roll here, but I want tobeat my damn desk. My new team
name is the Lunar l u na R Texts, The Lunar Texts.
Deal with it, y'all. That'sgonna be my new team, and I'm
gonna take them all the way tothe Promised Land I got. I think
I got a good team. Letme see here, let me dig them
up. Let me dig them upfor y'all. See who we got?

(09:37):
What's this damn app ap my ESPNFantasy Football app? I did pretty good.
I think I had a good team. I mean a good U good
selection quarterback. I got Matt Ryan, quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. My
running backs, and Ezekiel Elliott ofthe Dallas cow Bitches. Who else we

(09:58):
had? Chris our Son is myother running back. He plays for the
Seattle Seahawks. My wide receiver,so dk Metcalf, also for the Seattle
Seahawks. So I gotta be carefulabout that because if Seattle has a byeweek
two of my heavy hitters, Imight get fucked. Another wide receiver I
got for Washington is Terry McLaurin. He plays for the Washington football team that

(10:22):
team, that team name is nowherenear as good as the Terry Dacos all
the mighty Lunar Tics. My tightend, yeah I got one. It's
no a fant for the Denver Broncos. Also, I got David Johnson from
the Houston Texas. He's running myflex position. He's a running back,

(10:43):
so I got a running back atflex. My defense is the Indianapolis Coats,
and we'll see how they do.They had a high rating, but
you know, actually I don't knowif there's sixteenth, so they're not bad.
And then for my kicker from theSeattle is I got Jason Myers.
But I need to I'm gonna haveto make an adjustment there because my heavy

(11:05):
hitters on my team. You know, I got a running back and a
wide receiver, so I'm gonna wantthose guys to be scoring touchdowns. So
if those guys are scoring touchdowns forSeattle, then the Seattle kicker isn't gonna
be kicking field goals. And youwant a kicker that's gonna be kicking a
lot of field goals and not justextra points. So I need to work
on now. I need to.I need some I need some versatility at

(11:28):
my kicker position, but overall, not a bad team, not a bad
team at Also, we'll see howhow things progress. But yeah, that's
the mighty lunar ticks, so dealwith that. That's what we got this
year. I'm gonna see how itgoes. I'm gonna see how this ship
goes. So yeah, tomorrow ismy last night of my writing class.

(11:54):
I've been very excited. I've enjoyedthis immensely enjoyed this little process learning how
to how to not learning how tojust write completely, but just learning the
process and what I'm doing different things. Man, It's very interesting, you
know. And luckily I got alot of friends in the particular industry that
I'm looking to dive into that aregiving me some really solid advice, helpful

(12:18):
advice. You know who you are. Some of them listen to this show
that I appreciate that as well. You gotta have a good supporting cast.
You gotta have it, no matterwhat you do, you gotta have a
good supporting cast. But I washaving this conversation with somebody, and it's
somebody that that I know in love, but you know, they they were

(12:45):
just like, why why did youdecide to do this, and I was
like, what do you mean,so well, why are you deciding to
get in the writing? I waslike, I've always I've always liked it.
But I was always been a wrestler, you know, so I mean
that was my number one passion. But I've always wanted to do different things.
And it's like why, I'm like, why not? You know,
It's just it's weird, and Iknow it's daunting. I think a lot

(13:07):
of people have dreams and goals andaspirations and they feel that there's a lot
of obstacles. But I don't thinkthere as many obstacles as you think there
are. And I think the biggestobstacle is yourself, you know, like,
just try it and if you ifit sucks, then it sucks.

(13:30):
Who gives a shit? You know? If it is it is much better
to try something and fail than nevertry it and not know. You know,
so I don't know, you knowwhat I mean. And luckily I've
just never been one of those people. I fucking I'll try anything. You
know. If it doesn't work,it doesn't work, who cares, you
know? And I know, Iguess maybe because I've been successful at so

(13:54):
many things that even if I feltat this, I still have this to
fall back on. But I justI don't know. I'm just one of
those people. Man, do whatthe fuck ever makes you happy. If
you want to paint them, paint, go paint some shit. If you
want to sing sing, I reallydon't care if you can't sing, but
if you try to sing because itmakes you happy, that to me is
more impressive than people who can singand never do because I know people like

(14:18):
that. I know people who areincredibly talented, and there's a few that
I've tried to help and I reallyfelt they have a gift and they just
don't follow through with him for differentreasons. You know, maybe they have
the best of reasons. But stillmy point is, if you can do
something and you want to do something, them fucking do it. I don't

(14:41):
want to become off like my damndude for Transformers. What the fuck's his
name, Shyela Goof? Anyway, what else is going on? There's a
U There was a UFC on thispast weekend. I watched a little bit
of it. Man, I can'tremember. I can't remember shit. I
watched a little bit of the wW Payback pay per view uh, good

(15:05):
performances. Once again about dominic mysterio. Um, I feel like what happened
all the Keys to League beating RandyOrton was pretty was pretty significant. There
was that um that that happened. That was good. What else did I
see? Who was shamish? Wasin a match with somebody big e?

(15:28):
Big e had some good has somehad a good deal, not crazybody has
finished a move or it doesn't lookclean all the time because it did this
this cool ass power bomb and thenlike the big ending is fine, but
I don't know. I'd like tosee something new in terms of my finishing.
What else is going on? Whatelse did I see? H Brock

(15:52):
Lessner no longer with the WWE.I've heard that's the rumor. That's the
rumor. Uh. And so Isaw a rumor today in the MMA world
that Belatoire would like to sign Brockto fight Fador. God damn, I'm
watching that. That'll be good. That'll be good because it'll be hard to
stop that, it'll be hard tostop to take down or Brock. But

(16:18):
Fador still can't. He still gotdamn bombs. Now, he's still got
damn bombs in that hand. Hejust don't have the chin he used to
have, but Brock ain't quite thestriker that you know. Fador has been
up again, so who knows.Who knows what could happened? That'll be
interesting. I would like to seethat. I would definitely love to see
that, I should say, So, yeah, what else is going on?

(16:41):
I think I think I'm gonna getto the comic slam pretty quick this
week because I went along It's Helllast week, so I'm gonna get to
it quick this week. And uhyeah, it's where we at podcast.
They're free to you, but they'renot free to do fifty episodes deep of
Highway than Helm's free up, George. But now more than ever, I'm
going to need your support to keepthis train rolling. So go to Pro

(17:04):
Wrestling Tis dot com slash Shane Helms. Also go to Collar and Elbow Brand
dot com slash Shane Helms. Idon't want donations, I don't want handouts.
I want you to get something foryour money, So pick yourself up
a shirt, son. You knowI got the fly is gear in the
game. Do you want to gobehind the scenes at World Championship Wrestling and

(17:30):
find out what really happened from oneof the greatest minds in the history of
the business, the infamous booker behindWCW's success with New World Order. Other
podcasts weren't there. Let's clean upthe fantasy bullshit, give your real facts
and real stories with the Testmaster himself. Yes, this is Testmaster Talks with

(17:53):
Kevin Sullivan, available on the CreativeControl Network. And now it's time for
the comics slam yeld. This weekwe started off with Young Justice from the
DC universe. This is Bran Michaelbendis production as writer. Let's say he

(18:19):
got a little help from David Walkeron the script. Art by Scott gold
Godloski. I don't know, butcool. This is very good, you
know, a Young Justice basically thesidekick members of the Justice League become Young
Justice, and we got an appearancefrom the Justice League actually in this story.

(18:41):
You know, the heavy hit usreally good. The arty here is
really good. Focus ses. Theybring in some outside girl who's gonna be
I think a attempt at the Hallof Justice. She's gonna be like an
intern. A lot of character interactionbetween the Young Justice and the Justice League,

(19:02):
kind of the Justice League giving themthe nod, you know, putting
them over a little bit. That'sinteresting the way they do that, the
way it's done here. Bendic doesa real good job of tying the Young
Justice story in with what he's doingin the Superman books. Which if you're
a writer on several books, that'sa luxury that you get to have,
so really good stuff, the happyending, you know, you get the

(19:25):
Wonder Twins. Anytime I get intopenance of the Wonder Twins takes me back
to my little childhood. So I'mdefinitely enjoying that, So thumbs up for
the Young Justice. Moving on,this is a book from Xenoscope Comics.
Conspiracy is the name of it,So any conspiracy theorists listening, this is

(19:45):
a book that would go up youralley. Huh, right up your alley,
you heard. This is brought toyou by Joe Brushka, Ralph Tedesco,
Dave Francini, Hans Rundeoff, AdamGoldberg. There's a lot of names.
That's the whole story. So yeah, And basically this story is about

(20:06):
Area fifty one. So these peopleshow up Area fifty one, they're gonna
try to sneak in there. Theyfind some alien craft, all types of
Shenanigans going on. Don't want togive away too much of the story,
and as it leads into issue two, which I think I'm gonna go ahead
and read that next week for nextweek's issue. But so far, so
pretty pretty good, you know.I mean, I definitely love conspiracy theories

(20:29):
as much as the next person, and especially when they have to do with
aliens, because I know these aliensare laughing at us. We're a joke.
We're a sitcom to the aliens rightnow. So yeah, so far,
so good digging that. Moving backto the DC universe, the Terrifics,

(20:49):
like in this book, you know, they got a very cool cover
of mister Terrific on the coveries,on his knees, money's raining down.
He looks a little despondent, alittle defeated, And that's interesting, you
know, mister Terrific, he's upin the Strange Adventures book, which I
talked about I believe last week orthe week before. How they're using mister

(21:10):
Terrific is really cool, and soit's cool to see him in this book
well as well as well, Ishould say, And this is a cool
little castic characters. One thing theydo in this book, and they kind
of did that a little bit andStrange Adventures, like mister Terrific is like
this super smart person. He's basicallylike read Richards or you know, a

(21:32):
Tony Stark of the DC universe, and just like them. Sometimes like he's
able to invent anything, you know, which is kind of strange, like
in the Strange Adventures book not punintended, like he was able to invent
a spaceship that went to this otherplanet. Meanwhile, this other hero is
trying to get to this planet. He's asking everybody and he can't get a

(21:53):
ride there, and mister Terriffic justflies down his own spaceship. He's built
this satellite up in space. Andit's like, if you could do all
of these things, I feel likehumanity would benefit from some of them.
Why ain't you, like, youknow, ain't you helping out humanity?
I don't know. It's just reallyweird when you your character is so small,

(22:14):
he can just create anything, likeI don't know, it takes a
little bit of the jeopardy away. But anyway, we get some blue beetle
action in here. Always dig theblue beetle. But the best part is
we get an appearance by Lobo, the main man. Very cool, very
cool to see Lobo back in theDC universe wrecking shop. It's kind of

(22:40):
odd on that some human can hireLobo to beat up the Terrifics, but
that's basically what's happening. So herewe are. Here we are with that
story. And I'm still sticking withthe book because I liked the book,
you know, but the story, the story was kind of all over the
place. Moving on to Image Comicsissue number ten of The ice Cream Man,

(23:03):
Brought to you by w. MaxwellPrince, whose name is will Prince,
but he goes by the writing nameof W. Maxwell Prince. And
he says, because if you googleWill Prince or William Prince, all that
comes up is Prince William, Sothat's why he goes by the name W.
Maxwell Prince. The art is byMartin Morazzo, and this book was

(23:29):
good. You know, some ofthis book takes place in Mexico, and
so that there's a couple of pagesof it that are written in Spanish,
and I don't read Spanish, soI'm kind of going, okay, just
doesn't do a lot for me.So for any bilingual readers out there,
this would be interesting for you firsta couple of pages out and know what
the f was going on, Butluckily there's arn't there, and through the

(23:52):
context of the art, you cankind of figure out what's happening. So
there is that, and these kindof delve into a little bit of the
back history of the ice Cream Manand stuff like that, you know,
but I don't think that the totalhistory of the ice Cream Man is ever
going to be revealed. I thinkthat's kind of part of the secretive secretiveness.

(24:15):
Is that a word that I mighthave just made that the writer and
stuff. But there's still some dastuardlythings that happened in this book, and
as always, I love the iceCream Man, so boom. Now we're
moving on to after Shock Comics.Just a Stronghold number two. It actually
been a while since I read issuenumber one, so I kind of had
to go back and po ruse thatthis is brought to you by Phil Hester

(24:38):
writing and Ryan Kelly as the artist. And this book too is about an
alien. There's some aliens on Earthand like, um, there's a human
that I guess he's this superpowered individual, but he doesn't want to know he'd
been living as to regular human andsomehow he gotta awoke into his powers and

(25:04):
whatnot, and now the bad aliensare coming to get him. And that's
kind of the gist of it,you know, But the the arts really
good to do some really creepy stufffor who these aliens are. One of
the creepy things involves a little baby, very creepy and so yeah, and
then there's gonna be a big thingat the end where the aliens are gonna

(25:27):
just start fucking up humanity. It'sabout to breakdown. And this is a
good issue in furthering along that plot. So good job. Back to DC
comedies. This is Deceased Hope atWorld's End, Chapter seven, brought to
you by Tom Taylor, writer artistsNaldo Gudez. You know these DC stories,

(25:52):
just deceased stories, just keep killingit. This opens with Wonder Woman
doing battle with Black Adam Man lovethat Black Adam of course, my all
time favorite character. Wonder Woman, badass that she is. They're going toe
to toe. We get an appearanceof the Justice League, which is Martia,
Man, Hunter, Cyborg, Superman, and the Green Canary. I

(26:15):
thought Superman had got killed in oneof the DC's books. But maybe this
is like a DC story that doesn'tfollow the continuity or timeline, or maybe
this was before he got killed.I guess who knows, but he doesn't
appear here. So, but whodoesn't make it out alive is hawk Man?
You know? And this is aThis is interesting because hawk Man showed

(26:37):
up with hawk Girl, and somethingthey've done in the recent years is like
hawk Man and Hawk Girl used tobe a thing. They were, you
know, they were lovers who woulddie in their next lives. They would
always find each other and that wasa real good story. But in recent
years, it's like hawk Girl's beenwith somebody else, and it's like,

(26:59):
that's the fucked up. You know. I thought they were these I thought
this was like this universal love storythat they always keep coming back to each
other. And she's just out thereGalli van. Now I think now he's
out there Gyalla Vanna. So Idon't know what happened. I don't know
if they kind of nixed that.Uh, you know, these souls that
will always beat in an entanglement ornot. But anyway, it was good

(27:21):
to see him back together here anduh, but it didn't last long because
hawk Man did the fucking job. They got they got him, They got
that motherfucker, y'all. Uh,so he's he got he got bit or
whatever he got snapped um and thenyou know the kind of final scene of
the issue is you now you gotthe hawk Man zombie with Black Adam,

(27:48):
and now he's now everybody else ismaking a final mad rush to take out
the heroes. So I don't know, just this book just continues to be
impressive. Loveing to Death also pickedup Green Lantern Earth one, Volume one.
So this is by who is thisbike? This is written by Carina

(28:11):
bet Joe and Gabrielle Hardman, artby Gabriel Gabriel said, Gabriel Gabriel Hardman,
how hard are you? Huh?How do you think you're hard?
He think you tough? So Iguess this is um Earth one. So
I guess this is like an alternateuniverse type you know, story concerning the

(28:32):
origins of the Green Lantern, notyour standard how Jordan finds the Ring on
Earth, you know that type ofdeal. This is, uh, then
a spaceship mining on an asteroid andthat's where he comes upon the ring.
So it's the artist fantastic. Youknow, it has a really it has

(28:53):
a vibe toward the book I readlast week that I talked about that was
The Alien, the Original Alien screen. This kind of reminded me of that
book, just by the order loan, you know, being in space mining
on asteroids, shit like that. And he finds this old ship, and
in this old ship that's where wefind the dead Green Lantern body, which

(29:15):
I guess would be I've been been, sir, whoever the fuck it was
a shit I can't remember. Andbut also there's a Manhunter what looks like
a Manhunter armor, but there's anupdated Jack the fuck up Manhunter armor and
old school Green Lantern fans we knehoI'm talking about with those type of man
Hunters, and how it ends upgetting the ring, although somebody else gets

(29:40):
at first, which I thought wasa weird and unique and creative. A
little swerve how gets the ring, sucks up the man Hunter I guess passes
out from being able to do that, wakes up Killerwaga is there. But
it's just a totally different scenario thananything we've that historically has been old about.
The Green landing so pretty good, but I think I had to stop,

(30:03):
like on page fifty or something likefifty or sixty, because it's really
you know, it's a whole volume. So I'm probably gonna finish that in
spurts sparts parts, I said, and we'll continue to dive on that.
But I didn't make it all theway through because I wanted to get you
know, another book or two inand so yeah, but anyway, that's
really damn good. The artists great. So then I finished up with Venom

(30:26):
from Marvel Comics, brought to youby Dinny Kates and artists Juan Getting.
This has Venom beyond part two.If you if you do recall, if
you remember the time, and sothey got if you remember, Venom's son,

(30:52):
Dylan was like having some kind oflike he's developing some kind of powers,
and so Venom, for whatever reason, took him to see the Maker.
The Maker is a villain. Venomis right there, anybody listening,
If any of your children develop powers, don't take them to a villain.
Okay, you know, take themto somebody else, you know. So
anyway, they ended up getting blastedinto another dimension. Apparently the Venom suit

(31:17):
in this dimension has all kinds ofyou know, capabilities that haven't had before,
so it's pretty wild. Pretty well, he damned grew bat wings at
one time out of his back. He's fighting Virus. Virus is like a
jagged up war machine looking character thatI'm not super familiar with, and it's

(31:38):
but anyway, he's fighting the hellout of him. The next thing,
you know, like Virus shoots allthis energy lasers at him. But one
of the new suits, with thenew symbiots abilities, is he absorbed the
energy and shot it back at hisass, you know, Captain Marvel style,
Carol Denver style. So that happened. And then like some Avengers showed

(31:59):
Captain America Thor or she Hulk, iron Man in the Black Widow and the
Black Panther, but they all havethe VEM Spider on the chest, So
what does that mean. They're allsymbiotes of the Avengers of some sort.
So this universe is all kinds offucked up. Virus actually blows Captain America's

(32:20):
head off, but because he's asymbiote, puts it right back together.
Shit is evil. And then theytake the symbiote and it looks like it's
null. Is that no Nus likethe God of the symbiotes or some shit
is it? Call? It's likekayan ul, what is that? That's
no right, I don't fucking know. Silent letters, I will stress once

(32:42):
again or fucking stupid. But thenlike some hero venom you know, where
he escapes from all this commotion andhe's in a sewer because why not.
And down there he finds some otherpeople and one of them happens to be
I think his ex wife or exgirl friend. But in this universe,
what are the odds there? Youare? So but it's good. It's

(33:04):
a fun book, you know, really a lot of creativity going on,
and it's one of those books whenyou go into an alternate dimension you get
to play with everybody and do allkinds of crazy shit. So, uh
but I'm a big fan of DonnyKates and all that. This one was
kind of, you know, kindof wild. I'm pretty sure it's just
gonna get better and better. Soyeah, but overall, a really good
week of books, you know, but these were different, you know,

(33:27):
a lot of a lot of differentstuff coming in this week. Um,
you know, Young Justice, Ithought, like I said, it was
really fun. Conspiracy I thought wasfun. The terriffics was it was.
It was out there. It's alittle out there, you know, a
little kabuki ish, but but stillgood ice cream man. Of course,
you can't go wrong Strong Stronghold Ithought was really interesting, really creative.

(33:49):
Um Earth one the Green Landing book, you know, I wasn't expecting that,
so that was good. Dceased,of course, dceased. You cannot
go wrong with CS and Venom. You know, this is the most interested
I've been in Venom in in manyyears. So very cool, very cool
book. So yeah, there weare. There is another another episode wrapped

(34:15):
up, Episode sixty two. Lookat us, look at us all rolling,
and so thank all of you guysthat have been with me since issue
issue sixty two, Episode sixty twothat I think that have been with me
