You don't want to cook. Youdon't want to be in that kitchen
sleeping over a hot stove. Youdon't want to have to go to the

especially in this day and age.Check this out. Real Good Foods.

They got breakfast sandwichars. Like breakfastsandwichars were like three cards, twenty
grams of protein, grain free, gluten free, all of the things that
weigh you down, that bloat you, that make you feel like a slug.
Slug like feel you don't need that. They got all kinds of entree
bowls, it's the high protein, the load carb. That's the way to
(01:07):
go. That's how you lose weight, that's how you get in the shape
you want to get in. That'show you feel the way you want to
feel. And it's good. Somany, so many diets have foods that
suck. Now this, now, this, this is real good foods.

(03:12):
Episode sixty five of How We ToHelms coming at you. I'm Shane
Hurricane Helms, known in certain circlesas Sugar one or two. Apologize everybody
that didn't get a show out lastweek. I had planned to record on
Wednesday, Shane, you show it'ssupposed to be out on Tuesday. Hey,
shit happens. The plan last weekwas to record on Wednesday, but
(03:35):
I woke up to a phone callthat we lost yet another legend in the
world of professional wrestling, and that'sJoe Laurenitis, known throughout the world as
the road Warrior Animal. And thatone was too tough. It's too tough
for me to get on the show, and I try not to, as
(03:58):
you know, especially in the shareI try to keep the show happy.
I want you guys to be happy, and I'll be worrying about ship.
But you know, sometimes that's hardto pull off when my heart is heavy.
And yeah, that one it sucked, another heavy loss. I liked.
I liked Joe a lot. Hewas a good dude. You know.
We we bonded at comic cons andconventions. You know, of course
(04:21):
I knew him from the locker roomsin WWE and shit like that, but
you know, at cons, becausehe was usually in face paint and I
was usually in the fore costume,we both kind of, you know,
we both bonded over that because itwasn't it's not always comfortable to be in
that face makeup all day long.By the end of the day, but
(04:43):
the end up a couple of hours, it's itching, like shit, that's
bothering you. You're ready to getit off. Me. I got on
makeup mask and a fore costume. You know, if I'm in that thing
all day, I am in damnagony by the end. That mask squeezes
my head. So we would kindof joke about that. We are.
It just became friends, you know, became friends with his wife. His
(05:08):
wife became friends with the Empress. They were even supposed to do some kind
of I think it was a realityshow and then later maybe just a podcast.
But it was going to be likewrestler wives telling stories. And I
don't know what happened. I mean, it's still an interesting idea. I
don't know if I need anybody revealingmy secrets, but I mean, hell,
(05:32):
you guys, hear me on here. I'm kind of an open book
as it is. But anyway,we just got, you know, pretty
close to him and you know, waking up to that news at sixty years
of age. Man, that's waytoo soon. That's way too soon.
Um. It sucks, It fuckingsucks. The road Warriors were iconic,
(05:58):
just absolutely legendary in this business.Got so over For those of you that
don't follow wrestling exclusively or as intensivelyas I do, or some of the
other listeners, which I think mostof you do, I don't know why
you even listen to this podcast ifyou don't, but the road Warrior's got
(06:19):
so over that a term was inventedcalled the road Warrior pop. So if
you if you did something or ifyou came to the ring and the audience
just lost their mind. If theroof blew off the building, baby,
that was known as the road Warriorpop. That's how over they were and
(06:43):
getting the road Warrior Pop, it'ssomething that we all could only aspire to.
Those guys were definitely, you know, definitely trend setters changed the game
for a lot of people. Youknow, for me, when I by
I heard iron Man, because youknow, I'm a hip head, I
didn't grow up on heavy metals,so I didn't know iron Man. The
(07:03):
song iron Man by a Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath, it's Azzia Osbourne spanned
back in the day for those ofyou that don't know. So the first
time I'd ever heard that song ironMan, for me, that was the
Road Warris and I always identify thatsong with the Road Warriors, and I
really never think about Azia Osborne, the guy who actually sang the song.
(07:26):
I always think of the Road Warriors. Yeah. So so anyway, well
I had to start the show withthat acknowledgement, letting you guys know what
happened, but I'm sure most ofyou probably guessed it. So that that
put me. That put me ina bit of a funk. For a
couple of days, but I spentmost of that day checking up on people.
(07:47):
Either Wednesday or Thursday. You know, I just like, let me
check up on some people, becauseeven though this year isn't exactly going my
way, you know, I'm stillmore of the happy clown. I've reach
out to people all the time andhey, how are you doing. Of
course, I can't reach out toevery single person. I know. I
know, I put up a postabout it. It's like, yeah,
(08:07):
I've been reach out to people allday. There's always a couple of people
are unique calling me. Yeah,I didn't say I called every single human
being that I've ever met, butI do. I do make the effort
to try to contact a lot ofpeople, and maybe it's people that I
think I might need it a littlebit more than my other friends. So
I got some friends that are doinggreat. I got a couple of people
(08:31):
that twenty twenty has been a greatyear for him, you know, and
so you know, not intentionally puttingthem on the back burner, but I
think, you know, I wouldcheck on people that I think are struggling
before I checking on people that Ithink are doing well. That's my own
that's my question for that. SoYeah, So if you're listening to this
(08:54):
and you know some people that arestruggling to reach out, you never know,
sometimes it's just a phone call justto tax I send stupid pitch to
people all the time. Hey,just trying to send out a laugh.
You know, maybe it helps, maybe it don't. You know. I
feel like it does, and sometimesit helps me. You know, me
making other people laugh makes me feelgood. That's why why people, you
know, why why y'all think Ipost all that stupid shit I do on
(09:16):
Twitter? It helps me too.Making other people laugh makes me feel good.
So yeah, we had some goodones last night. I watched what
was the Clash of the Champions lastnight. MVP did a on a pre
show which just you know, madea little not necessarily an analogy, but
(09:37):
I forget whatever I'm looking for here. But he made a comment about Mark
Henry being attacking a hurricane. Nowhe was obviously talking about a actual weather
related hurricane. But because it's meand me being me, fans, you
know, fans started tweeting me aboutit. So I made a little video
to reply to it. That gota lot of traction. And it's just
(09:58):
just fun stuff, you know.Uh, Oscar performed twice, so I
made a pretty funny tweet about Oscarum some couple of other things. You
know, Big Show apparently snuck inthe building, and so I'm like,
how does Big Show sneaking any anywhere? But that fucking matter much less an
arena that's supposed to have security.I got the ship is that? But
(10:22):
um, I thought Clash of theChampions of were Allay was really good.
The ambulance match with an ambulance orabout the ambulance because because somebody called the
ambulance, Hey, well what nowone one? Y'all still looking um So,
you know, I've only seen afew ambulance matches and they're generally okay,
and they've never to me been anythinglike I went crazy about Kane and
(10:46):
Shaman Man had a good one backin the day. But this one I
really enjoyed it. I enjoyed ita lot. You know, these guys
beating each other up, Randy, who had taken out quite a few people,
uh, you know in previous storylinesin the last month or so,
Big Show being one, Christian,Sean Michaels, Rick Flair. All four
(11:07):
of those names made an appearance inthis match. And it really just tied
things together a lot for me.Like, I thought that was super well
done and super creative. I lovethe main event with Roman Rains and Jay
usso Man solidifying Rains as a helljust beating that ass insisting to be called
(11:28):
chief. For those of you thatdon't know his h he is of the
family that is related to the HighChief Peter may A via So I thought
that's a good throwback to that andsome really good stuff. Sammy's ain't went
in the Intercontinental title. My preferencewas that Jeff Hardy retained it, uh,
(11:50):
you know, continue his run,you know. And I feel like
this Intercontinental title run was cut shortas I feel like a lot of Jeff's
single title runs are like they knowhe's over, so he's going to be
a champion, but only for acouple of weeks, you know, a
few months at the best. It'skind of how they seem the pattern that
they have with Jeff, even thoughhe stays over stays taking crazy chances.
(12:15):
But I also I love Sammy insanetoo, fantastic, fantastic character, you
know, just being insane character atthis time. I really dig that aj
styles Acorse the other participating in thatmatch again, another world class talent.
So there's a lot of good stuffcame out of there. I know Garza,
I think Garza hurt his leg.So that match ended rather abruptly and
(12:43):
not very well done the ending, but that happens when somebody gets legit hurt
gets shoot hurt, y'all, littleFia Trinid Dad Zelina Vega is very proud
of her, happy for her,you know, pay per view match for
the ww Women's Championship. You know, I've known Sea for years and years
and years, and so I wasjust there's just a little big brother moment
(13:05):
for me to see her out there. Very proud of her for that.
So congrats, congrats on that.Oscar of course, great great performer.
One of my favorite female wrestlers ofall time is Oscar Um and so uh,
I mean, I might be rememberBobby Lashly retaining the Hurt business retaining
the US Championship over a Poula Cruise. There's a lot of good stuff I
(13:28):
felt it happened Bailey, Sasha Bangsreturning, Sasha looked like a million bugs
as always, So a lot ofgood stuff, A lot of good stuff
happened on Clashes of Championships night,So kudos WWE for that. The night
before, I watched UFC two fiftythree, UM, not bad, not
a bad one. The actually thecomin event and the main event where it
(13:50):
kind of lightluster, very one sidedaffairs lost me a little bit of chatta
because Dominique Rays, I thought wasgoing to go in the whoop that ass
and become the new light heavyweight champion. The UFC light Heavyweight Championship had been
vacated when John Bones Jones decided hewanted to move up to heavyweight, so
we're gonna have a new champion. It was going to be either dominic Res
(14:15):
or It's either jam or Yahn howhe pronounced this JN black EVENTU or something
like that last name. He's aPolish fighter and he's a badass too,
and I guess I just kind ofunderestimated him a little bad. But dominic
Rez has just been a really fantasticfighter. But he just came out tentative
and I tweeted it. I waslike, I think that was my exact
(14:35):
tweet to us A Res is lookingtentative. I don't like that. Fucking
Two minutes later, he's beat downso I was correct, you know,
And then I was tweeting about likehow at a certain level you can't give
rounds some got some fighters go outand you see this in boxing way more
than UFC. But if if aboxer think it's going to go to the
(14:56):
distance they got to go to thattwelve rounds, you know, they'll con
serve energy in the first portion ofthe fight, you know, and sometimes
even give away rounds. And Iunderstand that from an energy conservation, but
if you're if you sit back toomuch and this other person is just moving
forward and doing damage, you haveto be careful about that. It's one
(15:18):
thing to give away the round froma point system because there are points involved,
but if you're take in damage andgiving away points, somebody needs to
remind you you're the fucking fight. You can't do that year. And at
a certain level, if you letcertain fighters attack, if you just sit
back and let them bring the fightto you, they will and it might
be more than you can handle. And that's exactly what happened in the semi
(15:41):
main event and the main event lastnight, because in the main event you
had Israel out of Sonya against Paulacostaand Israel's badass. He's an elite striker
between kickboxing, regular boxing and MMA. He's got over ninety wins, over
ninety that's a nine in a zero. Okay, this guy can strike.
(16:04):
This guy will pop your damn headto Polocaust. I guess you know he's
built, man, He's a damnLatino. He man, he is sculpted.
Like you watch him in the wayslike this dude flexes and you just
see abs and pegs and all.You see new muscles pop up. So
guys like that generally do gas out. So him, I understand he's trying
(16:27):
to conserve energy. But at thesame time, he landed one jab in
the first round one. Okay,Israel's throwing leg kegs. He's popping that
tater. He's popping that tater,y'all. And the next thing, you
know, round I think round two, cost Us beat the hell down.
(16:47):
And this was supposed to be awar, and everybody thought these guys are
gonna go at it. Israel assignajust kind of man, did his thing,
stayed stayed in his striking range, man, and just made it look
easy. It wasn't even competitive.Neither one of those championship fights to were
two championships on the line, neitherone of them more competitive, you know,
(17:08):
just pure domination. So it beesthat way some times, as Iceman
King Parson's grandmother used to say,so yeah, but I mean I did
enjoy this fight. So that wasthat was pretty good. As far as
for other television, if you guysaren't watching The Boys, I'm gonna need
(17:30):
you to take a step back andslap your own face. Okay, you
know what Tom Cruise said in thatmovie. It's a little different. I
cleaned it up for you. TheBoys is just incredible. And man,
that just and I'm sitting there thinkingabout and when I'm watching the guy that
plays Mother's Milk, and I'm watchingFranchie and I'm watching the female Butcher.
Like the casting. I love whenthey find an actor and they look exactly
(17:56):
like the comic books. I lovethat. I'm you know, and every
now and then they have to makea change, you know, and for
whatever reason. Sometimes it's for differentreasons. Sometimes it's political reasons. Sometimes
they just find a great actor andlike, hey, we can get this
guy. But he you know,Will Smith wants to play dead shot.
Okay, with dead Shot, ain'tgonna be white in this movie. We
(18:17):
need Will Smith. Like you understandthat Will Smith's a big name and a
great performance, so you kind ofdon't even really care. But I mean,
I just love when the cast matchesthe book. I feel like that
shows so much appreciation to the sourcematerial, and I just think that's really
well done. But then also inthis and the Boys storm Front, who
(18:38):
is a man in the book isa female in the in the show.
But I love that even better.I love the change there. So change
can't be good, So I'm gettingbetter about that. I'm getting better about
Hey, don't don't hate the changeright away. Give it a chance,
because it might be good. Andthis is a chance for it's really fucking
good. You know, she's agreat job her. Of course, her
(19:00):
dynamic with homelanders a little bit differentthan that. It wasn't the books.
But man, this show is justhitting on all cylinders for me. Like
I watched episode six, just cameout just past Friday, and I watched
it twice, and I think there'sonly two or three more episodes laughing,
I'm like, fuck, Like thisshow is so good. I don't want
(19:22):
this to end, Like I needmore of the boys. So congrats to
that whole team. They're just they'reabsolutely killing it and there's such a fantastic
show. And speaking of which,I don't know if I mentioned this last
week or not, but I wentback and I gave Birds of Prey another
viewing, a second viewing, becauseI wasn't thrilled about it the first time
(19:45):
I saw. I think I wasjust expecting something else. I really dug
it the second time a lot morethan I did the first. And also
maybe I either mentioned this on theshow last week or I told somebody about
it, because as I'm about tosay it, I remember saying this to
someone. I forgot that Shag Gaspardwas in that movie so many When I
saw him, I was just likea little kid. I got like a
(20:08):
literal pop, like I just filledwith joy. I was so happy seeing
him in that movie. And it'sa brief it's a brief role, but
I don't give a shit, youknow, just seeing my friend on that
movie. I got super excited aboutthat. Um So yeah, so Birds
of Prey. I don't think itwas critically acclaimed or anything like that,
but go back. It's a funmovie. Don't take it too fucking seriously,
(20:29):
it's a Harley Quinn movie introducing theBirds of Prey family. So it's
good. And I finished rewatching theMarvel universe in its entirety. Uh,
you know, there were some thingsthat were hard to Captain Marvel. Still
still hurts me a net Binning asMarvelle is fucking stupid. Oh my god,
(20:52):
that hurt my feelings. That hurtmy heart, y'all. But um
man, there was a couple ofthose movies. Still aren't that great.
The Thors, you know, Imean, Captain American movies are awesome,
The Avengers movies are awesome. BlackPanther was awesome. Still, But there's
(21:15):
a couple of them, Like youwatched them back and again. I don't
know, you know, you seehow they kind of had to fill their
place, you know, the Guardiansof the Galaxies, I thought, I
thought both of us were great.I thought Aunt Man and the Wasp,
I thought they were kind of theyfelt like place fillers to a degree.
But still good movies, you know, still good movies and enjoyable, not
bad whatsoever, Captain Marvel, LikeI said, that one's kind of rough,
(21:36):
that the strange um that one was, that one was just okay to
me as well. I love you'retalking about changing books from people from the
character characters from the books, youknow, the ancient one played by I
don't even know the name Tilda Swansonor something like that. I love her
as an actress. I love her, and I love her as the ancient
one too. I'm very surprised athow well. I don't know why I'm
(22:00):
surprised because she's good and every damnthing, but I love her in that
and I think there was so yeah, I guess so. I mean,
Infinity War is just incredible. That'sprobably the best of the bunch, just
in terms of what I like tosee because I was such a thing and
(22:22):
I'm a gym starling guy, soI'm such a Thanos buff and I loved
like that was the Thanomis movie. You know, Endgame is everybody else.
Thanos actually does the job twice inone movie, so End Game definitely isn't
a Thanomis movie. But he hassome good scenes in there, and still
that fight scene at the end justincredible. And there's so many if you
(22:45):
go back and through watching this, you know, cinematic Universe, through all
of these movies there's some incredible performances. And I know Hollywood they don't want
to give superhero jenre They just don'twant to give them any credit. Man,
But some of those performances from anemotional standpoint are just as strong as
anything else I see, you know, and I watched movies all the fucking
(23:08):
time. So yeah, and dude, just like I said, and again,
that fight scene an endgame, thatthat's it's gonna be hard to beat
that in terms of a fight scenefor any of the movie whatsoever. That
shit is good. What else?I just started on Netflix. I started,
(23:29):
uh, Nurse Ratchet or whatever, and I believe she's based on a
nurse from a classic movie called OneFlute. Oh but the Kuku's nest,
who I believe was That's one ofJack Nicholson's really breakout performance back in the
day. So check that out.I'm only like one or two episodes in
and there, but it's really good. I forget the lady's name, but
(23:52):
she was in America Harror story. She's the lady. She cried every single
episode. I believe it was ina contract that she got paid by the
tier. I forget. That's SarahPaulson. I believe it might be her
name, but she's fantastic. Butshe does fucking cry a lot, so
that that looks to be pretty goodso far. I'm trying to think.
(24:14):
I don't know if I mentioned CobraKai last week. Finally caught up on
the Cobra Kai. That ship wasincredible. Loved all of that cliffhanger at
the end of season two, soI can't wait for season three. Cobra
Kai is money. Go check itout. Everybody's talking about it, so
I'm glad that it made us wayto a bigger platform because I think it
(24:34):
came out on YouTube read. Idon't even know what the fuck that even
is. But I wasn't buying anotherstreaming service. I got so much to
watch it. I don't need anyother services. But apparently I might have
to get HBO Max because all theDC shows of DC Universe comics shows are
going to HBO Max, is whatI'm being led to believe, and the
(24:56):
DC Universe app is going to bestrictly for the books, which okay,
I get it, but fuck um, because I love those shows. I
love all those animated movies. Uh, They're just they're so good. Man.
You want to just sit back andwatch some animated movies. Apparently are
hard for some adults because hey,I don't watch good tunes. Oh my
(25:17):
god, what a painful fucking wayto look at things. Uh, some
of those movies are just fantastic,So check them out if you if you
can. So yeah, and sothat wraps it up for this segment,
and we'll be back with the ComicsSlam podcast. They're free to you,
but they're not free to do.Fifty episodes Deep of Highway the Helms free
(25:37):
of charge. But now more thanever, I'm going to need your support
to keep this train rolling. Sogo to Pro Wrestling Tis dot com slash
Shane Helms. Also go to Collarand Elbow brand dot com slash Shane Helms.
I don't want donations, I don'twant handouts. I want you to
get something for your money, Sopick yourself up a short sun. You
know, I got the Flyers gearin the game, and now it's time
(26:04):
for the Comics Slam. Only gota couple of books this week I'm gonna
talk about because I went a littlelong in the dawn last week with the
show. Um, not last week, but a week before. So first
off, I'm gonna start out withMilestone Returns Issue zero for those of you
(26:26):
that are new to the comic world. Every now and then they'll put out
an issue zero, and it's kindof like to explain books that will be
coming out in the you know, foreseeable future. Um, it's kind of
a little hacky gimmick, but thiscan it's entertaining that time. So and
I really dug this one because Iwas a big fan of the Milestone Universe.
(26:47):
What that was was back in thewait for It day. Um,
a group of creators that were basicallyall people of color created their own uh
universe of characters basically because comics ispredominantly white characters, so they went,
(27:07):
you know, wanted to create someuh, you know, African characters and
characters of just different other persuasions.Okay, Um, this is in twenty
twenty. You got to be socareful how you say anything. So I'm
like trying to make sure I sayeverything correctly. But anyway, I love
the books, my favorite being IconLater Icon in Rocket uh and Static Static
(27:29):
Shock were my favorite two books ofthe series. But this book, man,
like, just the cover of MilestoneReturns zero looks so damn cool.
We got an updated costume for Icon, which he needed his his His outfit
was pretty basic back in the day, but but still really good. And
you got a got a good castup creators on this. So it's written
(27:49):
by Reginald Huddling with an assistance tosays by Greg Pack, we got art
by he got a quite quiet Uhyou know guest guest list of arts here
you got jim Ley you know who'sof course he's a top tier artist,
Ryan Benjamin, Dennis Colwyn, JimmyPolomati. Polomiati, I probably butchered that
(28:11):
ship. Um Don Hope, Uhco fam Scott Hannah. Uh those those
bringing you the arts. So anyway, I love this, you know,
just a dive back down memory lane. First couple of pages you get Icon
and Rocket talking to each other tryingto explain, you know, Icon stories.
(28:33):
Basically, it's a it's a Supermancharacter. He's a Superman archetype and
he came to Earth like I thinkhis ship crash slandered or some shit alien
and years ago and he hasn't beenable to get home, so he's having
to live amongst us. When hegot here, he was able to take
the form of a human and sohe's he's lived as a human ever since.
(28:56):
And you know, he just wantsto bring like love to the world.
He's not like this super aggressive superhero. He just wants to bring love
to the world. And you know, he talks about how backward we are
whenever there's somebody that you know, wants to bring change and positive change,
like they get assassinated or some shitlike that. It touches briefly on the
(29:18):
story of how he got hooked upwith Rocket and you know, she's this
female sidekick and she wants him todo more and to do more. Basically,
the Milestone universe kind of revolved arounda place called Dakota. Dakota like
the state Dakota, but I thinkthat was just a city. The city
was called Dakota. Anyway, weget we get a little bit, we
(29:41):
get an appearance from Static in here. There's another guy in here that I
don't know who the fuck it is. He's got a damn looks like some
kind of bat wing type cape.It doesn't really say who he is,
but says he's a vigil landing AndI'm just none of zactly sure who that
one is. Um, But anyway, um it says Milestone returns February February
(30:06):
Airy twenty twenty one. So that'show long we got to wait. So
this kind of fucking sucks. Weget this big of a tase this far
out, now I gotta wait allthese damn months. But it is what
it is. But anyway, Ireally enjoyed this. Like I said,
I used to love the Milestone books. You know, I think the company
was only around five years or so, maybe not even and then they we're
(30:27):
going just like that. Um soyeah. Moving on Marvel Comics, Uh,
the Avengers, and this is issuethirty five, the Age of Coshoot,
Part three, and this still continuesthe Moonlight push. You know,
Moonnight of course is the right handman of Koshoot, the god of the
(30:51):
Moon, and so shit is stilldire. There's still dire straits going on.
We kind of go back in timeto find like the origins of the
Moon God and how important the MoonGod is I guess now going forward in
the Marvel universe, and in theMarvel universe, there were like earlier versions
(31:11):
of the Phoenix, you know,Odin was around back in the day,
ghost Rider around back in the day. There was an iron fist back in
the day, a whole back inthe day. That's sort of shit,
that's kind of goofy, But atthe same time, I also really love
it, So I'm torn. Shitcan be goofy and I can still really
love it. I love the artin here, the way they drove draw
(31:33):
Koshoe's head where it's not attached tohis body. His head just floats above
his body, and I don't knowwhy that's creepy, but at the same
time it's cool as shit. Weget this version of I guess he's trying
to kill different versions of Mephisto.Mephisto is the Devil the Diablo of the
Marvel universe, so he's trying tokill different versions of Mephisto. It's good
(31:56):
to see Mephisto back into play, you know. I've been familiar with that
character since I was a kid.So we get she Hulk in here,
and she Hulk, as far asI know, was killed in the Empire
storyline, which I still haven't finished. But she shows up here, so
maybe this story was before Empire,or she came back to life. I
don't know. Uh, something happened. Something happened but I love the fact
(32:20):
that is that the Sheholk is justa powerhouse in there, and it's a
really interesting dynamic as she hook,Captain America and Blade all teaming up,
and that's just kind of a littleyou know, Motley Crewe of the characters
there that are there, I reallydig And then you got an Iron Man
and Captain Marvel and they got thebaby, the bab They got this baby
that is being a born that hasthe Star Brand. The Star Brand is
(32:44):
this like little tattoo that shows upon your body like a tattoo or a
glyph or something, and it's oneof the most powerful weapons in the Marvel
Universe. One now it's in thehands of a little baby girl. So
they got to take care of thelittle baby girl. The god Koshue wants
the Star Brand power to help himfight whatever evil it is that's coming,
(33:06):
and so that's what we're dealing with. But then you know, Koshu shows
up. He's the Moon Night buthe's got the ghost Ride a car.
His head's on fire because if you'rethe ghost Rider, get ass catches on
fire. And man, it's justthis story is really progressing. I really
dig it. It might not befor everybody because it is kind of like
all over the place to a degree, but at the same time, you
(33:28):
know, it seems like an epicstory. It's big and I like that,
and we get the Black Panther atthe end ready to kick some ass.
And you know, with Chadwick's deathsbeing so close in my mind,
that's still you know, that teameda little bit when I when he popped
him, so anyway, but stilla good book. Moving on, Marvel
(33:50):
issue number five of four, Lostin the Black Winter. This book has
just been incredible. Donnie Kate's asthe writer, Nick Klein as the artists,
and this ship has just been great. You know, if Thor was
the Herald of Galactus, so hegot the power Cosmic, he's like superpower,
but then he kind of rebelled itgot a store. You know.
The art here is just absolutely cool. There's one particular scene, a big
(34:14):
splash page where they got like someof Thor's greatest villains, you know,
and you got the giant with thefucking name Sertor or whatever from the movie
Ragnarok that him. Mephisto's in here. Of course, you got Loki,
doctor doom a nihilist apocalypse is therefor some fucking reason the Enchantress, which
(34:35):
kind of harkens me back to theoriginal Secret War Days badass. So I'm
anyway, like I said, theart, it's just incredible, and this
is more about Thor having a kindof fight his inner demons because of this
new um, this new threat that'scome that's come his way. Um this
(34:57):
the Black Winter, which the BlackWinter apparently was a entity type of presence
of force from the previous universe andthe Marble Universe. What happens is that
the before the Big Bang, ourBig Bang, there was not the point
take, I'm just talking about theactual universal Big Bang. There was a
previous universe and it existed and thenit ended, and then there was a
(35:23):
big bank to create ours where well, apparently Galactus Galaxus came from the previous
universe and he was the sole survivorwhen now, a long story short,
the Black Winter Apparently Galactus was theBlack Winters Herald. So that's how powerful
this entity is. So that raisesthe stakes immensely. And I moved on
(35:49):
to issue six with this as well. Harald of None is this title and
it continues still donicates still Nick Klein, uh, you know, putting in
the creative duties here. But weget an the appearance of a silver surfer
now and the silver surfer now itis completely black. So I guess it's
the black Surfer. I don't know, but it's just interesting. And that
(36:09):
happened in a book and that calledme crazy, But I think it's called
silvil Surfer black. You can lookfor that. I haven't read that,
but I feel like I'm missing outon something, so I need to.
But anyway, he goes to visitThor, and this is after all the
bad things have happened with the BlackWinter and Galactus. So we've kind of
the story either the writer has jumpedforward a little bit, you know,
(36:31):
so we know the Thor will survived, but we just don't know what happened
yet. And Civil Surfer is askinghim layman, what happened, and Thor
doesn't seem like he wants to tellhim. And so now we go back
in time and we see the battlebetween Galactus and it's Galactus and Thor actually
get into it, and Thor isthe one that lays Galactus low and kind
(36:55):
of absorbs Galactus power, it seems, and then he takes out Galactus,
he takes out the Black Winter. You know, he's just like looking as
powerful as he ever has. Andif you're a Thor fan, this book's
for you, because he goes overstronger than a motherfuck y'all, goes over
(37:17):
a clean finish, pretty much asquash, and then it kind of fast
forwards and somebody apparently the Black Winterhave given has given Thor before he got
fucked up, had given Thor aglimpse of Thorist's death, and Thorist's death
was caused by that looks awesome. And then Thannis's hand, he's holding a
(37:44):
hammer that has the Infinity Stones onit, your boy, and he's got
some kind of black gotling on theother hand that I don't know what the
fuck that is, but it looksbadass. It might even be the I
don't know what the fuck it is, but it looks badass. And so
yeah, so now an as guardon the Rainbow Bridge, Galactus's big ass
(38:08):
helmet is there, like fucking Thorakept it as a trophy or something.
Super Neil that's fucked up a littlebit. You know, it's like,
you know, you see these hunters, they go shoot a bear and hang
the damn bear on the fucking nuhon the wall. But whatever. Anyway,
absolutely incredible, but loved it todeath. So then moving on.
(38:29):
Like I said, I only gota couple more I wanted to get through
here. I just get long windedtalking about these comic shows. Can't help
it, can't help it. SpiderWoman number three, This was a very
heavy Marvel week. So sometimes itpiece that way. A writer, it's
called a paccio artists Perry Perez,I don't know. And this is this
is pretty good. This actually it'sokay. This one's just okay, you
(38:53):
know, we kind of dig intothe you know, Spider Woman had to
take a side job because she needsto pay the bills. I guess being
an Avenger don't pay that well. And there's a mad scientist involved who ends
up being her brother. Yeah ina small world. She ends up back
in Wondergore, the place where shewas originally given her powers by the High
(39:15):
Evolutionary. If that's still the case. I mean, these stories changed for
fucking auten. But I love thecharacter Spider Woman, so I'm sticking into
this book. But this issue waskind of I don't know, kind of
goofy. You know, that's allI can say. I'm sticking away,
but I wasn't crazy about it.Now moving on, and I believe this
(39:37):
is the last book I'm gonna dotoday. It's Captain Marvel number twenty,
and this is still part of theEmpire storyline. To cover, this is
just absolutely cool to ship. Yougot Spider Woman, Captain Marvel, Hazmat
and war Machine. They're all inthe cover. They're all kind of like
an aqua blue, the color ofRonan. The Accuser because Carol had the
(39:57):
she has the Accuser hammer and theywere able to somehow make other replicas of
the hammer for the other three andthey're own a motherfucking mission. This brought
to you by Kelly Thompson. Pencileris Corey Smith. So this is a
badass. And you know, we'regetting more familiar with Captain Marvel's sister because
she found out she had a sister. That's what happens in comics. You
just find out You've got family membersall over the place. But she is
(40:21):
Jack. She's huge, She's likea blue shee hulk, but pretty cool.
I'm digging her, digging her interestsinterests into this storyline as a new
character. They get on the spaceshipbecause Carol has a spaceship, and they're
going to the Empire to talk tothe Kling, who is the emperor of
(40:43):
this scroll Cree Unified Empire, andso anyway they're gonna be there. Everybody's
kind of offended that what Carol hasdone to the hammer, to the accuser
Hammer, Ronan's Hammer, because apparentlythat is held in high reverence and she's
(41:04):
done did something to suck it up. But she claims she can fix it,
but she just needed this to completewhatever this particular mission is. And
I don't know. I'm digging.I'm still digging the storyline. Like I
said, I'm a huge Captain Marvelfan. My very first favorite character of
all the time was Captain Marvel Marvel. But Carol Denvers as Captain Marvel is
still pretty cool and this book isbeing really good. I think Kelly Thompson
(41:27):
is doing some cool shit with it. So anyway, a quick recap.
My favorite of the of the weekwas the Milestone returns. Just seeing those
characters that I've been waiting to makeher comeback. Seeing them was pretty cool.
The Avengers, you know, theKashu storyline. I'm still digging that.
I'm enjoying it. The Thor isabsolutely incredible. That's the best thing
(41:51):
I read this week. Thor isjust as bad as as he's ever being.
Spider Woman was just okay, notbad, but just okay. Captain
Marvel was pretty good as well.So another delicious week of reading of reading
them books. So yeah, that'sabout it. The song of the Week,
of course, brought to you byat g Oi Kicks. Check them
(42:13):

after Black Adam. They look fuckingamazing, Like they look so good.
I don't want to wear them becauseI know I'm gonna suck them up,
but man, so damn cool.I can't wait to get them into Melody
(42:37):
semi pictures. I'm actually going topost post about them today so everybody can
send him it. Just absolutely incredible. Check out gy Kicks. These the
best, just just simply the best. And so anyway, they're bringing you
the song of the week. Butthe song of the week it brought to
you by GI Kicks. But it'smy suggestion and I think you all should

recognize it. The second and started. So that's it. Thank you all
