(00:22):
real stories with the Testmaster himself.Yes, this is Testmaster Talks with Kevin
Sullivan, available on the Creative ControlNetwork. Somebody Harry Cops dot down the

(00:59):
following. Now you're looking for greetings, salutations? What it is? God

(01:23):
dank? Here we are episode sixtyseven of Highway to Helms with your host
Shane Hurricane Helms and my co host, Shane Hurricane Helms. No guess needed?
Why start now? Sixty seven episodesall by myself. You know what
I'm gonna do, though, I'mgonna surprise you. Motherfucker's one day You're

(01:44):
gonna turn this shit on and there'sgonna be a guess that I'm not gonna
advertise because I never advertise shit aboutthis podcast, which I should, I
know, but I do this outof love. This is a labor of
love. I loved the connection withmy Highway to Helms listeners, my Highway
to Helms travelers. I should sayI hope everybody had a good weekend.

(02:08):
I had a pretty chill one thisweekend. Watched a little bit of UFC
on Saturday, a little bit offootball on Sunday, so it kind of
relaxed. Cool ass clip out ofthe UFC on Saturday. This guy through
a kick leg got caught. Theother guy called called his foot. You
know, this motherfucker did this likeJeff Hardy Tiger mass spinning back kick,

(02:31):
heel kick, reverse in zaguri ninjakick to the motherfucker's lips, gave dude
the elvis legs. That motherfucker didn'tknow what planning he was on. Probably
going to get the knockout of theyear, just because knockout like that is
in that particular fashion has never beendone. And it was just really cool

(02:53):
last moment for that for a youngguy. And that's how you make a
statement, that's how you get aname. It was like pretty much how
Anthony showed Time Pettis when he ranoff that cage like the damn Matrix and
kicked Benson Henderson in his fucking face. That happened like ten years ago,
maybe more. I don't remember theexact date, but it seems like ten

(03:15):
years ago. And it's been inthe highlights ever since. And you know,
Benson Henderson hates that shit every time. Every time Pettis has a fight
coming up, that kick is inthe highlight package. So every time Benson
is like, man, damn,I gotta keep seeing this shit. That's

(03:35):
what you get. That's what youget, you know, and I know
how it feels. Back in theday in WWE, I was on everybody's
tight and troyn because I could takeeverybody's finished better than just about anybody else
could. That's what happens when you'rea bumper, guys, when you're a
good bumper, and I was theinsane bump machine at one time. When

(03:58):
you can take everybody's ship really good, you end up taking everybody's ship really
good and a lot so, nomatter who it was the tight drawing,
you will see a flash of greenat some point from the goat, the
greenest of all time. He's thegoat of me getting fucking pedigreed, s
fine, busted, whatever it was, whatever it was, I was taking

(04:21):
the f fives choke slams, tombstonesdidn't matter. I was taking that ship.
But yeah, as far as thefootball thing goes, I was stressed
out a little bit because my MightyLunar Texs my fantasy football team. They're
defending They were defending their foeign Oldrecord. But because of COVID issues and

(04:46):
shit like that, my quarterback,Josh Allen plays for the Buffalo Bills,
right, so that game got pushedto Tuesday night. I can't even remember
who the plan and there was achance that that game could get can So
here's the risk. If I don'tsubstitute a quarterback and the game on Tuesday

(05:06):
gets canceled by that point is toolate and I would just surrender a very
you know, put a very importantposition on your team, the quarterback.
So I didn't want to take thatrisk, so I put in Matt Ryan.
Now, Matt Ryan has had somedecent weeks, Mattie Ice as he's
known to Falcon fans, so Iput him in and he did not have

(05:30):
a good week this week, soit sucked, but I still pulled through.
This was my lowest scoring week withone hundred and eleven points, but
that was enough to take out myopponent and defend my undefeated records are now
I'm five and old with the mightylunar Tis tis in your mouth all day.

(05:56):
I'm so very excited about that,as you can tell. Also excited.
This weekend, the season finale ofThe Boys happened, which I watched
twice, and I've watched every episodeof this season and the previous season multiple
times. Such a good show,so well done. Just the casting,
it's just fucking incredible. I loveit when she comes to you, I

(06:19):
love it when a plan comes together. So really good finale. I think
the ending wasn't quite as explosive asthe episode before, because the episode before
was basically the fucking Red Waiting fromGame of Thrones, but on The Boys,

(06:39):
like and when I say explosive, there's literally what I mean, because
mother fucking heads were exploding. Sothis season I mean this episode the finale.
While it did have some memorable momentsand it was kind of a little
bit in terms of grossness, maybemaybe a notch downward, but as far

(07:01):
as the storylines tying everything up together, I thought that was done really well,
laid down some plans for what weare going to see in season three,
the head of the church guy doingthe job, which hey spoiler alert,
I guess that when I started talkingabout The Boys, they come and
just assumed that ship him doing thejob. I was actually kind of looking

(07:25):
forward to more from him and thenbecause I think he's a great actor,
and I was looking more for himfrom them in season three, but they
went ahead and just took them thefuck out. But man, super super
good series. And if you haven'tseen it, if you've got Amazon Prime.
The way the way Amazon Prime isworked for me is after every episode

(07:46):
of The Boys, it kind oflets you know that there's this talk show.
It's like After the Boys or someshit like that, and I gotta
I know somebody actually works on thatshow. I don't know him well,
but I've met him, That's whatI should say. But anyway, it's
a talk show. Um and andthe main lady, Ayisha, she was
in Archer if you ever watched thatArcher animated series, which I thought was

(08:07):
fucking fantastic. She started that andshe she hosts this talk show now has
the all the cast of characters, the writers, directors. I know one
time she had the costume designer onthere and I found that episode particularly interesting,
but you get all this inside informationand stuff like that and just kind

(08:28):
of behind the scenes, nothing spoilery, but it just helps you appreciate the
material even more. So if you'rea fan of the show, make sure
you check out After the Boys.I believe that's what it's called. I'm
sure you can just search on Amazonproblem for the Boys and then'll pop up.
But that was a really good appendixto the show. So, yeah,

(08:50):
what else? What else have Ibeen watching? I started watching?
Um, yes, I actually haveto take pictures of the fucking shows because
I watched so many shows. Um. I watched Madness in the Method,
which was a movie about Jason Museand it's pretty interesting. Is the story

(09:11):
is how he's typecast in Hollywood becauseof his character from Jay and Silent Bob.
He's obviously Jay the Stoner, butin this particular movie you get to
see how good his acting chops are. And like every now and then into
Kevin Smith movies, they'll give hima chance to get serious and he really
delivers. I mean quite on morethan one occasion he's delivered. So this

(09:35):
was interesting and you get a lotof you know, there's some a lot
of cameos. Dean Kine's cameo wasparticularly entertaining. I thought he did a
great job in that, so Iwould definitely suggest that one to my peeps.
Another thing I watched was Chris Claremont'sX Men. This is also an

(09:58):
Amazon Prime. It was a documentaryabout Claremont's run on the X Men,
which is the most famous run onX Men ever, really brought them to
prominence, to continue levels and youget some really behind the scenes stuff on
that, and I was really fondof that. Had an appearance by a
couple of friends. Heidi McDonald wason there, Jill Thompson was on there.

(10:22):
So that was cool to see.Anytime my friends pop up on something,
I mark out for stuff like that. And so if you're a fan
of the X Men, which youshould be, you understand, check that
out. Another documentary I watched thiswas another comic based documentary. It was
called Doomed, The Untold Story ofRoger Corman's Fantastic Four. And this is

(10:46):
for those of you that don't know. Before the Fantastic Four movies from the
last ten years or fifteen years, half along those ones were made. But
if Fox put them out, Foxor some one, it didn't matter who
put them out there, weren't thatgood. And the last one, there
were three of them. The lastone, I believe it was from a
different studio and it fucking sucked tremendously. It sucked tremendously. Brought to you

(11:09):
by Browsers. But back in theday, there was another one and just
low budget. But like the storybehind why it was never released and never
went to theaters and was just cannedand she shelved. It's crazy interesting.
And the theory is that they did. They made this movie. They spent

(11:31):
money, not a lot, butthey spent some wasted these people's time because
the cast crew and all that weren'tin on this, but they wasted the
time to make this movie just tosecure the rights to the Fantastic Force that
they wouldn't lose them, so theyhad to produce something. And you feel
bad for these people that worked reallyhard on this project and then it never

(11:56):
sees the light of day, andto this day hasn't seen the light of
day. There's been some bootleg copieswhere it's like VCR tape dubbed over VCR
tape and a very low quality, but nothing has ever been done with the
original the original film, and andthese and some of these, particularly the

(12:18):
guy who plays doctor Dooms, he'dbe willing to go back and like redo
the voice and try to update it. And I'm sure everybody else involved would
want to do something with it too, And at this point I would like
to see it. But um,it's just crazy how that shit happened.
Here. Let's make a movie thatwe know we're never going to do anything

(12:39):
with. Not tell the cast, not tell the actors, make them think
that this is a break, becausewhen you take a role, especially when
you're unknown, there's always that belief, there's always that hope that hey,
this can be the one, thiscould be the one that springs me to
something bigger. And you know, especially if that's your chosen profession, that's

(13:03):
what you want to do. Andthen to just realize that it was a
fucking scam like man, that's thathad to be a tough pill to swallow
for for for a lot of people. And anyway, it's pretty interesting to
see to get some of that behindthe scenes information you heard. Started watching

(13:24):
a couple of different series, Icaught it. I caught up on a
couple of episodes of The Good Place. Season three is the season I'm one
now. If you haven't seen AGood Place, I believe this, uh
Netflix, very good, your veryentertaining show. It's about the afterlife,
the war between heaven and hell. But it's a comedy. A lot of

(13:46):
good pops in there. It's wellwritten, really good cast, a lot
of familiar faces that you're seeing onthere. Another show I checked out.
I believe this also was on Whatwas this? This could have been Netflix?
Was the Unicorn? It started. It's my man's name from Justified,
Waltering Goggins, right, Ain't thathis fucking name? So he's a unicorn.

(14:07):
He's a widowed man, so he'ssingle, he's got kids. So
he's like this guy that all thesewomen won't he's a unicorn because he's not
he's not a player, he's notout just for one thing. He's he's
this good dad. He's seeing,no baggage, no attachments, so all
these women want him. He's onthe dating app. He doesn't really know
what he's doing. So it's pretty. It's lighthearted. You know. I

(14:31):
ain't gonna say I l O willed, but I was entertained by it.
I was amused. So there's adecent little show sitting here trying to browse
through. So what I do iswhen I because I can't remember shit,
is I take a picture of theshow when I'm done with it. And
now I got to scroll through myphone because I take ninety seven thousand pictures

(14:54):
constantly. And there was a coupleI missed from last week, or at
least one I means from last weekthat I wanted to discus this week.
As I scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, they see me scrollling. The fuck
else? Utopia we talked about dad? Utopia is absolutely fucking fantastic. I

(15:16):
don't care if I talked about that. I'll talk about that shit again.
That's how good that shit was.Um, where are we? Where are
we? Dean Kuntz has a newbook coming out, so I would definitely
need to be checking that out.Stuff like is this? Maybe I did
talk about everything because I might havedeleted the ship. If I don't talk
about it, I deleted. IfI do talk about it, I still

(15:37):
delete it. Um what else? What else was? I started watching the
show too on Amazon Prime about thisthis comedian, female comedian named Tig Tig,
I don't know if you guys solved, I know who that is,
but it's an show with her.I thought that was pretty entertaining too.
I mean, I should know thefucking name of it. But y'all know

(16:00):
how I wrote. What else wegot? I don't know. Oh yeah,
I watched a Superman Versus the Elite. This is on DC Universe.
This shit was fucking pretty cool.I've talked about this at nauseum. DC's
animated universe vastly superior to their cinematicuniverse, and this is just another installment

(16:23):
of the universe that was so damngood. The Elite is kind of based
on to me, the authority ishow they came off to me, the
authority, and it might have beencompletely based on that authority by Warren LS.
That's how this group of people cameoff to me. So check that

(16:44):
out when you get a chance.Like I said, there hold them Universe.
That DC animating universe has just beenwhich is so damn cool. So
so yeah, that's so. There'sa lot of stuff there, a lot
of stuff for you to write down. I hope you took notes on all
of this good stuff to watch. So yeah, boom, gonna be right
back with the Comic Slam podcast. They're free to you, but they're not

(17:10):
free to do fifty episodes deep ofHighway to Helms free of charge. But
now more than ever, I'm goingto need your support to keep this train
rolling. So go to Pro WrestlingTis dot com slash Shane Helms. Also
go to Collar and Elbow Brand dotcom slash Shane Helms. I don't want
donations, I don't want handouts.I want you to get something for your

(17:30):
money. So pick yourself up ashirt. Son. You know I got
the Flyers gear in the game. And now it's time for the Comics Slam.
We're gonna start off with the Boys. Dear Becky. This is issue

(17:52):
number four from Dynamite Comics. Ifyou're a fan of The Boys Show,
this is the newest, most upto date series being released. It's set,
you know, Becky of course, being Becky Butcher who's deceased, so
this is kind of dealing with Butcher'slife after Becky's gone and written by Garth
and it's illustrated by Russ Braun.Still really good, fantastic book. There's

(18:19):
some typical boys violence and gore asthese group of superheroes soups who kind of
mold themselves after the as Guardians orthe Greek heroes, so you gotta throw
hercules and all that type of shit. They're going to try to ambush Butcher.
It doesn't go the way as plannedas the female shows up and beats

(18:41):
the fuck out of everybody. Sothat's really good, you know, didn't
you kind of delve into the personallife of Butcher and and Becca get a
little appearance by Terra and this bookjust you know, I mean, so
damn good, so damn good tobe able to dive into Butcher a little
bit. But you also get thatviolence, the violence that that the Boys

(19:10):
produces. And I love the theart there. Art by Russ Braun really
is He's very reminiscent of Derek Robertson, who was the original artist and the
Boys back in the duty. Soum, he does really well with that
big fan of his work. Movingon, we will go to the Fantastic
four antithesis. Fantastic four number one. This is by Mark Wade, famous

(19:34):
writer, Neil Adams, famous artist, and I'm not sure what time frame
this is because it has a bitof an old school feel um, but
it's hard it's honestly hard to sell. But off the bat, I gotta
say so damn cool to see NeilAdams doing doing this book. We get
an appearance in the beginning by anihilist who is you know, he's the

(19:59):
leader the Negative Zone and a longtime forward the Fantastic Four. He's back
on Earth, talking shit, startingstarting to starting the running them muck,
but the Fantastic Four take care ofhim pretty nicely. We gets a cool
interaction with the Invisible Girl as shegoes into mister Fantastics laboratory. She's trying
to get his attention, you know, but he's he's got his nose in

(20:22):
his work, and then she makesher clothes disappear. Hey girl, that's
what I'm talking about. And thisis really good. This is a really
good, like old school field forwhat the Fantastic Four have been historically and
traditionally. But then there's a bigmeteor, right that's going to strike the
Earth a comment of some sort orwhatever the fuck. Some big object from

(20:45):
space is hurling and the Fantastic Fourhad to unite and all their powers to
stop this object because if it strikesa city, it's going to wipe it
out turns out that it's the SilverSurfer where they do stop it, they
slow its speed, they slow itspack so it doesn't blow shit up too
bad. But then it's the CivilSurfer. He's got all this black shot
all over him. He's all fuckedup, and when they're trying to talk

(21:08):
to him, what's wrong, what'swrong? Norn, and he goes,
Galactus is dead, And so herewe are. So now I'm confused because
if you recall from last week,Galactus is dead because Thorpe fucked him up.
So I don't know. Is itback in the day, because sometimes
you just never know. I hada feeling that was back in the day

(21:32):
Fantastic four, But the Galactus isDead storyline is current in thor So I
don't know. But what I doknow is that I love that book.
Moving on to another Marvel title,This is X Factor Number two, written
written by Who, Written by LeighLee Williams. Artist is David Baldia Baldea.

(21:56):
I don't know. This book's prettygood. You know, they're still
getting new the X Factor. They'regoing to be the detectives, and let
me just say there's a wrestling detectivecoming soon to a screen near you throwing
that out there. Make of thatwhat you will, but this book's good.
If you remember north Star's sister Aurorafrom Alpha Flight fame, say that

(22:17):
real fast. She was dead inthe last issue, they brought her back
to life. Because then all theX Men books, mutants can no longer
die. They get brought back tolife. Yes, that's fucking morbid and
weird, but that's just where we'reat. But they still have to investigate
the murders, even though they're notreally murders because motherfuckers come back to life.
But they still need to investigate theact of murdering. So therefore,

(22:37):
the X Factor Detective Agency or whateverthe fuck they call it has been formed.
So there's a murderer. They gota new case, and this case
is going to be on Mojo World. No, not Mojo Rowley, although
that would be just as entertaining.Mojo from the Mojo Verse, which is
a universe that's based all on televisionmedia reality shows. So basically, like

(23:02):
fucking the US is now, we'vebecome the Mojo Verse. And strangely enough,
Mojo is a grotesque, ugly, yellow orange just looking motherfucker. So
yeah, that's kind of symbolic. It's as symbolic as Michael Cole would say.
But this is a pretty interesting book. I never really gave a fuck

(23:22):
about Mojo back in the day,so I can't really say I care too
much about him now. But I'mon board for this X Factor run.
So we're only two issues in,so I'm gonna give them a little bit
more, give them a little bitmo chance. Continuing on in the X
Men universe, this is X Mennumber eleven. This is still part of

(23:44):
the Empire storyline, which I'm fuckingsick of. I feel like I've been
talking about that ship for a year. I don't give a fuck about these
planted people no more. Whatever theending is at this point, I don't
even care apt it whin I'm justtired of hearing about the motherfuckers. But
this issue you kind of center hisown Magneto, and if you're a fan
of Magneto, this Hia is thebook for you. In the beginning,

(24:08):
we get an appearance by the Summitar, which is this creepy ass white dude,
like I mean white, I meanhis whole fucking body is white,
except he's got this weird black emblemon his chest and the artist does a
great job of drawing him very creepily. I need to find out who this
artist is real quick, because JonathanHickman is the writer. He's killing it.
Oh yeah, Francis u Is LeninLennon. Francis wou is the artist,

(24:33):
and he is fucking so good, especially at drawing this summinar very creepily.
But anyway, we get an appearanceby Exodus, which is one of
my favorite characters in the X Menuniverse, so I'm always on board when
the Exodus. Exodus was an acolyteof Magneto, and you get Magneto like

(24:53):
the plant People are coming to invadeKa Kaka is the island that the X
Men live on. The Pla peopleare invading the whole earth, right,
So eventually they make their way toCrookore and there's Magneto and you see this
cool image of him. He's justkind of levitating, meditating, and in
the background you see the outfits. There's this one like all white outfit that

(25:14):
he's been wearing in most of theseX Men books lately, and then there's
you see this all black one thatkind of has a Darth Vader looking Bob
to him. But then you seethe traditional pink and purple one, which
we've known Magneto where his life, and that was more when he was the
bad guy. The white one ismore of the good guy, and I
guess the black one is just wheneverhe's gonna just try to look cool.

(25:36):
I don't know. But anyway,he starts finding out that, right,
there's this an attack and what's thisgirl's name? I forget her name all
the time, magic, I believeit is. She goes, so tell
me, old man, you feellike getting your hands dirty, And he
goes, I may even dress forthe occasion, and he puts on the
old school pink and purple, soyou know he's gonna fuck some shit up.

(26:00):
That is just cool to shit, and that's exactly what he does.
And they do this cool thing, was it. There's this character named Magma
who can control like lava on theearth, but it has to be present,
apparently, and so Magmum makes thisvolcano explode. But then Iceman,
Iceman, Iceman, Iceman goes overand cools the ice so fast or women,

(26:22):
it's not exactly ice, it's liquidiron, because volcano is you know,
it isn't part of what in thevolcano. It's liquid iron, and
so he goes and cools the liquidiron. And then when he cools it
down, Magneto that was the planall alone, because Magneto goes broken metal

(26:45):
with sharp edges. Whatever will Ido with that? And now you know
it's on because now he just fuckseverybody else and he's playing people don't stand
a chance, and it's just reallycool. He shows Magneto being a badass
and he can be, and Idon't know, I just really enjoyed that.
I haven't seen Magneto in this particularbook. He's just been doing a
lot of talking, a lot ofleading in the issues that I've been reading.

(27:07):
So to see him go fall out, kick ass, old school,
just a reminder of what he cando. I really enjoyed that, so
fucking loved it. Moving on stillin the Marvel universe, this is Hellyan's
number two, and I kind ofeven forgot what the first issue was about,
and so I had to dig backinto this, had to kind of
remind myself what it was about. This is brought to you by zeb Wells.

(27:33):
I'm assuming that's short for Zebadiah, probably wrong, but who knows.
The artist is Stephen Zegoviam and I'ma huge fan, huge fan of this
artist at this point this book, this team is Havoc Orphan Maker, and
I mentioned before Orphanmaker was a characterI invented as a kid, not the
same guy, just coincidental. SoI dig that you get wild Child,

(27:57):
EmPATH, Gray Crow, who Idon't know who that is, Siloc,
and Madeline Pryor Madeline Prayers in thebook, she's a clone of Jean Gray.
There's a lot of clones in theX Men world that she said what
it is. But seeing this grouptogether, like you got this just powerhouse,
a group of fucking people here MadeleinePryor was a clone of Jean Gray,

(28:18):
so Jean Gray, and she endedup like she had a relationship with
Scott Summers who was Cyclops. Thenshe had a relationship with Alex Summer,
who is Havoc, Alex Summers whois having So they're brothers. You know
what that make say, a brotherfucker, she a motherfucker. So anyway,
there's just all kind of cool shitand the art in this book is just

(28:41):
fucking good. You get the Maraudersback, the Marauder longer story who the
Marauders are, but they're like they'remutants, but they're kind of you know,
no mads, you know, thisragtag band of mutants. But anyway,
these are like zombie Marauders or fuckedup clones of the Marauders or something.

(29:03):
And Madeline Prior leads them, andso we get all kinds of fucking
Shenanigans going on in this book,Madeline Prior and havoc Or hooking up even
though she turned I think she killedHavoc. But like I said, in
the mutant universe, all the mutantsget to come back to life, so
it's not really dead. Wild Childturns heal on Siloc because wild Child is

(29:25):
a feral like an animal, notan animal. He's a human mutant,
but he's got animalistic characters, kindof like a wolverine type character. But
he needs to know the alpha, and I guess Beata's in a relationship and
if he thinks he needs to bethe alpha, he has to challenge and
so he tries to fight Silac. And this side, like I guess,

(29:48):
isn't quite the Betsybrodict of the backin the day. She's like a part.
She's fucking full blown Ninja. Anyway, she ends up fucking wild Child
up. She breaks his damn neck. Anyway, this book was so much
fun. I know, being toissue three and I try to space these
out, but like I was justreally you know, invested in this story,
so I went on the issue three. You see Madeline prior, she's

(30:11):
still trying to manipulate Havoc even thoughhe's zombiefied or just he could he could
just be fucked up. Um,but that's that that particular plot line is
so good, you Siloc. Shetries to like just take out Wildchild's brain
where her psychic powers, but whenall that does is making go like to

(30:32):
his lower functions, which makes himeven more animalistic. So then she has
to snap his fucking neck like ZeusZeus from WWF Old School Days, not
Zeus from Greek but she, ifyou remember Zeus, she used to do
this nap snap snapping gimmicks. Soshe fucked him slam up with that,
And I don't know, issues twoand three of this was so damn good.

(30:56):
So I'm on board for the Helliansand I need I can't wait to
see you for finishing off this week. I wanted to talk about Legion of
Superheroes eight and this and very cool, like the cover A loan just makes
made me want to rip this bookopen. Brian Michael bendis as the writer,
and he just has this massive selectionof artists. Most of them just

(31:18):
did one page, but Evan DocShanner, Liam Sharp, Michael Avon Oming
just named a few, David mac, Alex Malev. I mean, just
so many we're in this book thatcontributed to it. So many splash pages
were not necessarily splash page, buteach artist did one page, and man,

(31:41):
it was just fucking so good. You get a lot of explanation of
some of the members because the JusticeI mean the Justice League, the Legion's
Superheroes has so many people in theirroster it's hard to keep up with them
all. And I gotta be honest, I'm still a little upset at how
Element Dad looks. Element Lad wasmy favorite is my favorite Legionnaire, specifically

(32:06):
because of the Legion Lost series, which is one of the best series of
all time. I stand by thatand I want him to look like that
because that was just was such asuch a great story on what kind of
a threat of potential powerhouse that ElementLad could be, and they just kind
of looking fucking silly in this book. But anyway, there's all kinds of

(32:30):
chaos, Like this story is justso big it'd be hard to really dive
in to tell you what I wasgoing on with without just having to go
through the whole fucking book. Butthere was something confusing to me because apparently
Minel it's a Kryptonian now, andI don't know if that's a reboot specific

(32:50):
to this story, to this versionof the Legionaires, or did he become
a Kryptonian back years prior because hewas from dasim If if any of you
guys have watched the Supergirls series,Minel is that character, and he was
from a planet called daxom Da xAm, so he was a Daximite,
and that's what I've always known him, man, since I was young.

(33:12):
But in here he's revealed to bethe great great grandson of whatever super Boy,
So he's Kryptonian because they mentioned thatthere were two Kryptonians on the team,
and I was like, there areand so I'm a little bit a
little bit confused by that. Soyeah, that's that's that's weird. But

(33:34):
man, we get to see somevery cool characterization from Cosmic Boy, Timberwolf
being badass, a beautiful page witha Saturn girl on there like that.
That particular artist and that was probablyDavid Macka if I remember correctly, was
just incredible. And I don't know, I love teen books. But the
challenge with all Team Team books hashighlighting each character. It's just going to

(33:59):
take time, especially with a rosteras as big as I mean they got,
They got a roster the size ofthe WW roster. You realize and
you see how hard it is tohighlight everybody on that show. And there's
you know, five hours of iton television a week, seven hours if
you count in Next Team. Sothis book comes out and you got like

(34:20):
twenty two whatever twenty four pages amonth, and you gotta highlight all these
different characters. But this book specificallydoes a great job of introducing a lot
of these characters, explaining what theirpowers are, and getting some background information
on and so this is although nota number one issue, this is a
good jumping on point for the Legionof Superheroes if you've gotten behind on it

(34:42):
this legion. So it's issue numbereight from DC Comics saying it was.
It was the book of the weekfor me this week, and everything this
week I thought was good, butthat one was the standout. So in
review The Boys, dear Becky numberfour. If you like the Boys,
you're gonna love this. It's trueto the show, because the show is
true to the tone of the book, so they compliment each other really well.

(35:07):
In that regard Fantastic Four number oneantithesis, this is like an old
school vibe of the Fantastic Four, which I really enjoyed. I loved the
self of Surface so great seeing himshow up. Super enjoyed that book.
X Factor wasn't bad at all.You know, it was probably the softest
of the week, but I stillenjoy it. I have a soft spot

(35:29):
currently for a detective. There's ane straight for you, guys. I'm
dropping a hint. Are you pickingit up? Are you picking it up?
Surprise of the week was the Hellions. So definitely into that. Issue
two and three so good. Lookingforward to issue four. X Men.
Issue eleven with the spotlighting Magneto wasjust bad ass. Can't compliment that book

(35:50):
enough. And then of course Legionof Superheroes number eight just absolutely so damn
cool, and I look forward toissue number nine. Yeah, so that's
about it, man. I hopeeverybody's doing good. Don't forget my sponsors.
