Speaker 1 (00:10):
Lives of the headquarters Club His Hog, Los Vegas. Yo, Yo, Yo,

(00:34):
what's up? What's up? Family? Hey, welcome back to another
episode of the his Hot radio Show. Here is where
we dive deep into the Book of Acts. We're going
through the Book of Acts. This is our Book of
Acts series. We're seeking to grow in spiritual maturity and

(00:57):
to walk in holy ghosts. Bold. Yes, I'm your host,
I'm your brother, mister hits Hop, And today we continue
our verse by verse journey through Acts chapter six, straight
out of verse seven. So grab your bibles, your know

(01:17):
passed in your highlighters as we dive deep into it.
But also we want to invite you to be a
part of the community, be a part of our family.
We want you to walk with us on this narrow road,
on this journey into everlasting life because we believe that
being grafted word is able to save our souls. On

(01:41):
this podcast, we don't just study the Word just to
get knowledge or information. We are not just hearers of
the Word, but we are doers of the Word. I
release the anointing everyone listening to this podcast to be
doers and not hearers of the word. Amen. And also

(02:04):
a part of that is we hold each other accountable,
we pray for one another, and we stay in fellowship.
And we invite you into that. And all you have
to do is download his hot radio app hs hop
his Hop on all platforms and go to the live chat.
All you have to do is hit that top left

(02:26):
menu and hit that drop down and go to life chat.
And all you need to do is put in your username,
email address, and password and bang, you are right there
with the family. Go ahead and upload your profile. Pimp
that profile out. You can put links in that thing,

(02:48):
a bio, all that good stuff, upload a picture, and
then also post something, say something what's up to the
family and the live chat, and we will shout you
out right here live on the podcast. Once you do that,
meet us here every day at eleven o'clock am Pacific

(03:09):
Standard time. That's Las Vegas time, eleven o'clock. If you're
in a different time zone, it might be one o'clock
for you, three o'clock something like that, but Pacific Standard time.
You just have to calculate it out and we will
meet you every day. Get some fellowship for us. You know,
eleven o'clock is like our lunch break, or if you're

(03:31):
in school or at work. It's your break time, so
grab a sandwich and also get some spiritual nourishment as
you kick it with us right here. So let's go
before our Heavenly Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, thank you
for giving us another day, Father God, for waking us up,

(03:51):
Our Heavenly Father, Thank you, Father God, for your grace
and your tender mercies. Oh God, Oh God, let this
platform grow. Let it increase for your glory, O guy. Yes, God,
more of you and less of us. So God, Father God,
we ask go God, oh Lord, that you was just
blessed today. Study. Let it be raymo word, Oh God,
let it be Father God, Oh Lord, information and understanding

(04:15):
that will help us grow in our boldness in the
Holy Spirit. Help us know who we are and the
power that is available unto us. Father, And we asked
this in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, So we're gonna
pick it up in verse seven. And we went through

(04:38):
the chapters where the church is growing. We saw how
God kept the church pure. He judged Antonias and Sapphires
for lying to the Holy Spirit. And I pray that
we don't lie and we don't resist the Holy Spirit. Father,
forgive us if we have we cannot take advantage of

(04:59):
God's great say Man, we need to contend for the
purity of the church as well. And also we see
how opposition our apostles were being beat and scourged and
arrested left and right. But it didn't stop them from
preaching the word. You could not stop the word from

(05:20):
spreading through the whole city. And also they were accused
for turning the world upside down. Oh, by the grace
of God, let us be accused of the same thing
in our generation. Amen. So that brings us to verse
seven where they were talking about waiting tables, and the

(05:43):
apostle said, well, they cannot leave the word in prayer,
just await table. So they picked out seven men, and
Stephen is introduced into the story. And so now we're
gonna circle back and focus on Stephen for a little bit.
A great powerful man of God, hallelujah in the early church.

(06:06):
So in verse seven it says, then the word of
God spread and the number of the disciples multiplied. Amen,
greatly in Jerusalem and a great many other priests were
obedient to the faith. Now check this out. Persecution and

(06:33):
internal trial did not weaken the early church, but it
purified it. Now, when the apostles delegated the practical task
the spirit fool or should I say spirit filled servants,
the word was freed to spread. They freed up the

(06:56):
word of God. They freed up the apostles to preach
the word and to make impact. And that's what we
need to do. You need to make the burden light
for our leaders so the word a God can spread
and make an impact. Now, even the priests who are
traditionally resistant to Jesus begun accepting the gospel. They began

(07:22):
to accept the gospel to Jesus Christ. Now, family, noticed this.
When the church gets its house in order, the word
flows freely, the leaders stop trying to do everything, and
anointed anointed servants rise up. Then multiplication will happen. Even

(07:48):
the religious elite people you least expected, started to get saved.
So how much of this are we respont for? Right?
How much of this are we responsible for? Are we
allowing the church to grow and to multiply by being

(08:13):
in our position, being a faithful servant in our local
church where God has sent us, So the leaders don't
have such a heavy burden. Amen, and keep in mind.
We will be accountable for this, how we serve the Lord,
and how we served each other. And we're accountable for

(08:35):
what we know. Now. We know that we need. We
play a vital part in our local church. And you
may just be there to clean the bathroom or dump
garbage or take cigarette butts. I remember, in the first
church I belonged to, I took pleasure in picking up
cigarette buds out of the parking lot. You know, it

(08:58):
seemed like a little task, but I knew I was
doing it for my father, so I had a joyful heart,
Like I was just excited just to pick up trash
and cigarette butts from the parking lot so that we
could have service. Amen, your position is making a huge

(09:20):
impact more than you think. Amen, looks like you lost
another one. Alright Verse eight and Stephan full of faith
and power, the great wonders and signs amongst the people. Amen.
Now just breakdown a few things about Stephan. He was

(09:45):
not an apostle, right, He did not have a title,
He was not in leadership. He served tables, He was
a servant. Yet he also moved in power. God pours
out power on and he pulls out Let me speak, right,

(10:11):
He pours out his spirit on ordinary believers when they
are fully surrendered. Right. God is looking for a heart
that is fully surrendered unto him, and I pray by
the end of this podcast that that will be us. Right,
But he pours out his power on hearts that are

(10:34):
fully surrendered. Now, let this encourage someone today. You don't
need a platform, you don't need a title. You just
need to be filled. Stephan wasn't famous, but he was faithful,

(10:56):
and faithfulness attracts God's power. Let me say that again,
painfulness attracts God's power. Amen. How many of us could
handle that type of power today? A lot of us
sad to say, we'll use that for our own selfish gain.

(11:17):
We will want to build a platform on social media,
build a following. We will want to get paid, you know,
for our services. We won't even show up if you
don't give us a thirty thousand dollars check. Right. That's
what you see nowadays when people use this type of power.

(11:40):
It's a great temptation in our generation because it's so
easy to brand ourselves. Allow the Holy Spirit to brand you.
God will provide, Amen. We don't have to act like
with some superstar or some celebrity, And I believe that's
the issue too, so easy to be a celebrity today,

(12:03):
that people get it and they just destroy themselves when
all God wants is our faithfulness. Amen, all right? Verse nine.
Then there a role some from what is called the
synagog of the freedmen, Sirhenius, Alexandrians and those from Chica

(12:31):
and Asia, disputing with Stephan. Now he comes opposition again.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Right.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Whenever the Spirit moves, opposition rises. Religious people, those rooted
in tradition instead of truth, often resist the gospel. Isn't
it crazy how people who fight the move of God
the most are often church folk. You know what I'm saying.

(13:02):
These men were free but spiritually bound. And I've experienced
this myself with club his Hot Las Vegas. It was
such a new work and so out of the box
in that tradition. People didn't know which direction I was
coming from. Amen. They didn't really, they really didn't know

(13:24):
how to handle it. But God moved in a powerful way,
and we got to stay faithful to what the Spirit
has called us to do. Verse ten. N they were
not able to resist the wisdom in the spirit by
which he spoke. Now I touched on this when I

(13:46):
was teaching at my home church, Fresh Wind Community Church,
a very powerful church anointed in the Holy Spirit. If
you're in Vegas, come by and visit us. Come and
check us out. If you're looking for a home church,
you will not be disappointed. Amen. But I touched on this.

(14:07):
This is one of the topics that I touched on,
And you know, I thought it was interesting that even
though we're not supposed to argue or dispute scripture, there's
still a wisdom from the Holy Spirit that is available
that no one can resist. Amen. Now this wasn't human wisdom.

(14:33):
This was spirit empowered revelation that God gave them. The
Holy Spirit gives strength in the moment of confrontation. Now,
when you walk in the spirit, you don't have to argue,
you don't have to debate. The anointing speaks for you.

(14:56):
Let the Anointing of God to speak and you, and
let it speak through you. Amen. Then they secretly induced
men to say, we have heard him speak blasphemy, blasphemous
words against Moses and against God. And they stirred up

(15:19):
the people, the elders and the scribes, and they came
upon him, seized him and brought him to the council.
Now this is heavy, right, this is deep. They put
in hands on. Now this actually brings the jaws. Parallels

(15:43):
to the trial of Jesus Christ. Right when they tried Jesus,
there was false witnesses. There was a stirred up crowds,
and they both had made their crowds and they manipulated
a motions in the situation. They had people to manipulate

(16:04):
the emotions of people. Look at the strategy of the enemy. First,
he lies, he manipulates, and he stirs up drama. That's
his pattern. And when I was teaching that fresh Wind,
I spoke about how the same thing happened when the
story with Jezebel and Ahab, the same thing, the same process. Right,

(16:30):
speaking against the law. They want to defend the law,
but they're breaking the law. The same spirit that attacked
Jesus is now attacking Stephan. But just because the enemy
plots doesn't mean God isn't still in control. Amen, Hallo Lujah.

(16:50):
The enemy can plot all he wants to, but God
is going to have the last word, the last victory. Now,
let's see it. Verse thirteen and fourteen. They also set
up false witdedness, whose false witnesses, who said, this man
does not cease to speak blashemist's words against this holy

(17:12):
place and the law. For we have heard him say
that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and
change the customs which Moses delivered unto us. Right now,

(17:35):
legalists always accept, I mean not accept. Legalists always accuse
spirit filled believers, and they accuse us of blasphemy, extremism,

(17:56):
and even in rebellion, their issue wasn't with the messenger,
it's with the message itself. Now, Stephan wasn't attacking Moses.
He was pointing them to Jesus. But when people idealize religion,

(18:18):
they see truth as a threat. Let me see that again.
When people idolize religion, they see truth as a threat.
And I want to say this from personal experience. I've
worked for years and I love them like brothers. You know,

(18:38):
you get to know your co workers after a few
years of working with them, and some of them there's
a Mormon, there's a job was a witness. You know,
there's just different religious people. And I share truth straight
out of Word of God. I share truth straight out

(18:59):
of the Gospel, and they get offended. They think I'm
attacking them. They think I'm tearing down their religion, their faith,
of their belief that they think that, you know, that's
all out, you know, assault against their religion. But no,

(19:22):
it's true, straight out of the Bible, you know. And
since years I backed off of that. I still pray
for them, but it's sad to see people go to
hell because they're stuck in tradition, and I try to
reason with them. I'm like, look, let's just study the word.

(19:42):
Let's just confront truth. Stop trying to twist it, stop
trying to make it fit your narrative. Let's just read
what's there with integrity and honestly, you know, wrestle with
what the scriptures say. I didn't write them, you know,
they were written over two thousand years ago. Go, But
I'm like, let's take it logically, right, But sometimes even

(20:06):
that method doesn't even work. Amen, all right? Verse fifteen,
And all looking steadfastly at him saw his face as
a face of an angel. Let me read that again.

(20:28):
And all who sat in the council, looking stead fastly
at him, saw his face as the face of an angel. Amen,
look at stphan Man, faithful to the Lord. Now God
puts his glory on his servants. Even in persecution, Stephan

(20:51):
radiated the very presence of God. His peace was supernatural. Amen.
They're lying on him, attacking him, prepearing to kill him.
Yet he shines. Family. Your greatest witness is not your defense,

(21:16):
it's your demeanor. When people mistreat you, and you still
radiate Christ. That is true power, that is so powerful. Amen.
And I pray that this will be us today when
people mistreat you, but you still let that sink in.

(21:41):
When people mistreat you, hallelujah, But you still radiate the
presence of Christ that is so powerful. Father God. We
need to power even right now God, in the midst

(22:04):
of this persecution of God, in this trial that we
are walking through. God, let us not, Oh God, defend
ourselves God, but let us be led by your spirit.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
God.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
And let us, even on our face, Oh God, steal
radiate your joy, your peace, your presence, and your love.
Oh God, let us not be disturbed, Oh God, Your
word says, let not our hearts be troubled. God, and Lord,
we lift up our hearts before you, God, Oh Lord,
we cast off worry and concern and frustration and bitterness

(22:39):
and fear, O God, we lay it, Oh God, at
your altar, O God, Holy Spirit, we surrender fully to you,
Oh God, wash us by your blood, Oh God, forgive us,
O God, we repent from the sin of worry. Oh God.
We ask the Lord that you will fight our battle
in this hour, for victory belongs to Jesus. We'll be

(23:06):
right back.

Speaker 3 (23:08):

I can't let nobody stop me.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Now.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas. This
is the His Hop radio show.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
All right, all right, we are back. This is his
radio show. We are going through the Book of Acts,
chapter six. Stephan is on the scene. The brother has
a face that looks like an angel. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank
you Father for your health and your strength and your
grace in the times where we needed the most. So God,

(26:20):
we just trusting you, Lord, hallelujah. All right, all right,
Well now it's time for our Accountability Partners segment. There's
placed in my heart that a lot of people go
to church. They don't know God, they don't have a
relationship with them. They don't struggle with sin, they don't

(26:40):
try to repent, they don't try to change or be
transformed by the Word. And a lot of times they
don't have someone to hold them accountable, someone to counsel
them and mentor them or speak into their lives. The
Bible says to go make disciples of all men. Amen.
And so he didn't say that if wasn't necessary. And

(27:03):
so I've worked the altar at church, and I've tried
to work with brothers that have been struggling with the
same sin for years, but they just don't want to
be held accountable. I tell him one of the steps
is just developing your spiritual discipline, and one of those
is just come in meet this, meet us on this
podcast every day. It's an every day discipline that we

(27:24):
fellowship and get in the word. You know, it's here
to help you. It's almost like I'm your coach and
I'm trying to make you a better player, right amen.
This is something that God has blessed and allowed me
to do, and it's helping my discipline and man being
the word and blessing others. But a lot of people

(27:46):
they you know, they don't know. I talked to one
guy and he's talk about he's so busy and his
schedule and he's working. I'm like, bro, this is eternity.
Like your job ain't gonna matter on that day of judgment.
Your work is now going to edify you. Your school
is not going to edify you. You know, it's being
built up in God's kingdom is what's gonna matter. And

(28:09):
also not only that you can catch us on the replay.
You know, we're on social media. You know we're on YouTube.
You know you can catch us. Our brother's own three
catches us on the replay when he can't make it
here live at eleven. And that is a hungry heart.
That is a person who is seriously seeking after the Lord.

(28:31):
They really want to be in fellowship. Amen. And so,
you know, these are just some some of the spiritual disciplines.
It takes twenty one days to learn a new habit
and develop some good habits and so and it's not
only that, you know, to develop your own prayer time,
your own diversional time, your own time. You know, this
is an age to help you in your walk with God.

(28:53):
But you got to find a church that you can
plug into. You gotta you know, you still got to
be obedient, get baptized and all that good stuff, you know,
But we're just here to help point you to Jesus. Amen.
And so if you want to, you know, go further
in this, go to the top left menu, then click

(29:14):
on podcasts, click on the His Out Radio podcasts and
scroll down to where you see an accountability partner and
fill that out. You know, sometimes it's good to go
over the checklist and check yourself a self check and
then you can request a follow up and we can
pray with you, and we can actually share your journey
on the podcast of course with your permission, that will

(29:37):
bless others. Amen. And also we give you a challenge
each week. And so today's challenge, family is what is
your attitude when opposition rises? Do you radiate Christ or
react in the flesh? When we say that again, do

(29:59):
you radiate Christ or do you react in the flesh?
Find your accountability partner today this week? Who holds you
accountable to walk in peace? Not pressure a man? Find
somebody to help you walk through that. Amen. There's power
in agreements. Also, I want to let you know that

(30:22):
his Hot Radio we are monitored and a reporting radio station.
If you want to go up on a charts, consider
purchasing our promo package is very affordable. Go to his
High Nation dot com and click on submissions. And also
you can rank number one on the app itself. Once
your song plays, hit that thumbs up and you can

(30:45):
see the ratings. We do have a radio network other
radio stations that are rocking with us, and you know
you can submit music to them as well, and you
can just hey be the first artist to hit number
one on his hot radio app. Now it's time for trivia.

(31:10):
Let's see who's the first to get it. Last time
it was our brother Corinth in the house. What's up brother,
Thank you for participating on that. But of course our
raining champ is Zone three because he hasn't had no
competition lately. But it looks like we got a little
competition between Zone and Corinth. So let's see who gets

(31:32):
it today. The question is what spiritual sign appeared on
stepping before he was martyrred? Was it a a halo
to his face, shone like an angel? Three, his clothes
started to glow, indeed a dove rested on him. All right,

(31:59):
hit us up in the life at with that answer. Also,
we want to give a community shout out. As you know,
the lit for the Lamb Concert is going down December
the twentieth at the Cambridge Recreation Center. We put the

(32:21):
word out in our text blasts, our email blasts, our
social media and also here we launched also a scavenger
hunt to accompany those because you know, all month long
we want to bless people and so today this week
we're gonna highlight the Good Habits Barbershop. It have its barbershop.

(32:46):
They got some discounts for you. They may even want
to give you some free stuff over there. It kind
of depends, but they're off of Stephanie and Stephanie if
you know what I'm talking about. There's a the was
it fat Burgers in the area. I mean, it's not
right by Fat Burgers, but it's in the facility. It's

(33:10):
like down for what the address is on the app.
Go to the app because I can't remember it off
the top of my head, but hit the top left menu,
click on buy and sell. That's our commercial center. Then
look up the Habits Barbershop and the exact address and
their map is right there. But they're they're off of

(33:32):
Sunset and it's like across the street from the Caesar's Pizza,
a little complex in there. Go over there and say
what's up to our brother Vic? To Vic if he's there,
you know that you heard a bottom on his hot radio.
But ask them for the QR code. They got the
QR code for you to scan over there. So this

(33:53):
week let's bum rush Good Habits Barbershop leading up to
our event on the twentieth last, but not least, we
want to shout out our nonprofit his how Nation incishaw

(34:15):
nation dot com. We minister in the community. We hold events,
we go to those who are incarcerated, We teach Bible study,
we mentor. We've launched a club in twenty twelve and
we want to reopen it. But we need help from
our community. We need help from the body. Right just

(34:37):
we learned about waiting tables and delegating and spirit filled
people who help so the word can spread. And that's
what it's all about. They're not about to make me
rich so that I can selfishly build a name for myself.
It's about spreading the word in our community. But we
need your support. Your tax deductible donation received at our website,

(35:01):
his hotnation dot com and also on the app his
hob Radio on all platforms. All right, that's my time.
Love it, but family, As we move into Acts chapter seven,
Stephan is about to deliver one of the most powerful
sermons in church history. Don't miss it. And remember it's

(35:27):
all about spiritual maturity, making every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Amen.
And this is your boy, mister his hop. It's that
about us. It's all about the Christ and us God.
Bless y'all.

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways. Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang. Gabe doesn’t know all the details of his brother’s nefarious dealings, and he’s made a point not to ask, to protect their relationship. But when Larry is murdered during a home invasion in a rented beach house, Gabe has no choice but to look into what happened that night. To solve Larry’s murder, Gabe, and the whole Ortiz family, must ask each other tough questions.
