our eyes today, not just in the physical but in
the spiritual as well. Help us to see what you're
doing even when we don't understand, and everything in Jesus' name, hallelujah.
(05:04):
All right, all right, okay, So we're gonna take the
first three verses in chapter nine, and as a backdrop,
remember Jesus was having a confrontation and discussion with the
religious leaders, the Pharisees and Sadducees, and he told them
(05:27):
straight out that I am right, I am that I
am that is the name of God. And they picked
up stones ready to kill him. They understood exactly what
he said. So he made his way through the crowd.
And so here's another instance right here where Jesus is
(05:55):
gonna fall under some controversy. The man that was born
blind receive his sight. So firse one. Now, as Jesus
passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth,
(06:17):
and his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who's sin this
man or his parents that he was born blind? Jesus answered,
neither this man nor his parents sin, but that the
works of God should be revealed in him. Heymen, okay,
(06:41):
well let's break that down real quick. Now, back in
those days, many assume sickness and disability was always a
result of sin. Now for this man to be born
this way, that means he would have had to have
(07:01):
before he was born. Right, because the question was who's
sin this man or his parents? Jesus corrected that mindset.
Sometimes God allows suffering so that his glory can be revealed. Now,
(07:24):
this verse hit is kind of deep.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Right.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
We often ask why me when life hurts, But sometimes
the better question is what is God revealing through this?
Jesus didn't focus on the blame. He focused on the purpose.
Remember that, I'm gonna repeat that. Jesus didn't focus on
(07:49):
the blame. He focused on the purpose. Now, the Greek
word for revealed it is is I'm much. Spell it
out p h A n E r O panaro. Believe
(08:13):
that's how you pronounce it. It means to make visible
or clear. God uses our pain as a platform to
show his power. Amen, I've heard it said before. Man's
extremities is God's opportunities. All right, we're gonna go from
(08:37):
four all the way to seven. I must work the
works of him who sent me while it is day.
The night is coming when no one can work. As
long as I am in the world. I am the
light of the world. When he had said these things,
(09:00):
he spat on the ground and made clay with saliva,
and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with
the clay. And he said to him, go wash in
a pool asylum, which is translated scent. So he went
(09:23):
and washed and came back seeing hallelujah. He went, he washed,
and he came back with his sight. That was a
marvelous miracle. Lost another one. I know some people in
church sometimes they play, you know, they're like, you know,
(09:44):
let me spit and make some clay. And there was
a pastor that did something similar to this. He spat
on one of his congregants, trying to make a point
in one of his messages. But let's get into it.
(10:06):
Jesus he healed in an unusual way to show his
authority wasn't tied to a formula, but it's tied to
divine power. The act of speeding in clay in sending
him to asylum, the poor sin was symbolic. Jesus himself
(10:29):
was sent from the Father to bring us the light.
Amen now the man. He obeyed, even when the method
seemed kind of strange.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Right.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Sometimes God's instructions don't make sense, but they lead to
a breakthrough. Let me say that again. Sometimes we may
not know what God is doing, but if we only obey,
it will lead us to that breakthrough. You're healing is
(11:02):
often connected to your obedience. Hallelujah. You're healing.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Is often.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Connected to your obedience. Amen. Therefore the neighbors where am
I hold on? Came back saying, okay. Therefore the neighbors
(11:37):
and those who previously had seen that it was said
that it was blind. Okay, when we were this again,
Therefore the neighbors and those who physically had seen that
he was blind? Said, is not this he who sat
(11:59):
in bed? Some said this is he? Others said he is?
He looks like him. He said, I am he. Therefore
they said to him, how were your eyes open? He answered,
and said, a man called Jesus may clay and anointed
(12:22):
my eyes and said to me go to the pool
of Salem and wash. So I went and washed, and
I received a sight. Hallelujah, a mighty miracle of the Lord.
Then they said to him, where is he? He said,
(12:46):
I don't know. Verse thirteen. They saw him who formally
was blind. They brought him, who formally was blind, to
the pharisees. Now it was a sabbath sabbath when Jesus
(13:10):
made the clay and opened his eyes. Here you go,
another miracle on the sabbath. Then the Pharisees also asked
him again how he had received his sight. He said,
to them. He put clay on my eyes and I
was washed. And I see now they didn't rejoice over
(13:34):
the fact that man was made whole. They're upset because
it was done on the Sabbath? How blind can religious?
Can religion make us like we have no HeartWare is
our humanity? Verse sixteen. Therefore some of the Pharisees said,
(13:56):
this man is not from God because he does not
keep Sabbath. Others said, how can a man who is
a sinner do such things? And there was a division
amongst them. Remember I said that in our previous podcast
(14:19):
that Jesus intentionally will cause division. There is a separation
from belief and unbelief. We have to make sure our
belief is strong. We can see by our lifestyle and
our actions. Do we trust God? Do we trust God
(14:39):
in our finances? If we did, we would pay our tithes,
we would give offering, we would be generous, and we
would be obedient. Do we trust God in our marriages?
If so, women would submit to their husbands and respect them,
and husbands would love their wives. As Christ of the church,
(15:01):
there is trust and submission and surrender that is connected
to our belief, and God will help us there's help
today in this podcast, in the areas where we struggle.
As they say, I believe help my unbelief. Amen. Now,
(15:24):
how can a man who is a sinner do such signs?
And there was a division amongst them. They said to
the blind man, what do you say about him? Because
he opened your eyes? He said, he is a prophet. Now,
at least I can say one thing. At least they're investigating.
(15:46):
At least they gave this man a chance to talk.
I've been in situations where people will talk behind your back.
They will gossip, they will whisper, they will say things.
They won't give you a chance to talk or explain.
They'll just make up things. They'll just say, oh, yeah,
you know you so desperately you want to go do this?
(16:10):
And they he didn't even ask you about it, like
they're just making assumptions even though they're off. At least
they get his man a chance to speak. He said
he's a prophet. But the Jews did not believe concerning
him that he had been blind and received his sight. Now,
(16:30):
they thought it was something made up, you know what
I mean. They thought it was how many times have
you heard about these pastors who had somebody in the
crowd with the wheelchair, and they get up proclaiming that
they're healed. But to find out later it was some
type of scam, right, some type of comment, and this
is what they thought. They thought this guy was a
(16:52):
prop right, that Jesus was faking in miracles. But at
least to their credit, they investigated until they called the
parents of him who had received his sight. So they
(17:13):
called his parents so they could testify, and they asked him, saying,
is this your son who you say was born blind?
How then does he now see verse twenty His parents
answered them and said, we know that this is our
(17:36):
son and that he was born blind, but by what
means he now sees, we do not know. Or who
opened his eyes, we do not know. So his parents
weren't there, but they confirmed that this is their son
(17:56):
that was blind. And then they said, he is of
a ask him, he will speak for himself. I love him.
When the Bible gives commentary on the Bible, right, John
gives us a commentary in verse twenty two. His parents
said these things because they fear the Jews, for the
(18:19):
Jews had agreed already that if anyone confesses that he
was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.
Now they didn't want to get put out of their synagogue,
so they're like, huh, talk to my son. He can
speak for himself. Therefore, his parents said, he is of age.
(18:42):
Ask him. So they again call the man who was blind,
and said to him, give God the glory. We know
that this man is a sinner. Now this goes back
to their thoughts, right. Remember in this chapter, the disciples
(19:04):
thought that this man had to have been born in sin,
either himself or his parents. And so when you really
think about it, that means before he was born, when
he was in his mother's womb, he had to do
some type of sin. Like what kind of thinking is that.
(19:24):
Now we can understand parents because we know that there's
generational curses or the Bible says that he will visit
the iniquities of the fathers to the thread for a generation.
But that wasn't the case. And so sometimes that there's
traditions and there's things that men come up with and
(19:46):
they're not necessarily biblical, right, and so just be care
for that. Make sure when you hear things like that
you can back it up with scripture. Do your own studies. Amen,
(20:11):
They said, give God glory. We know that this man
is a sinner. In verse twenty five, he answered and said,
whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know,
Like he doesn't know his man. One thing I know
that though I was blind. Now I see, now that
(20:37):
is a good rebuttal, let's actually park there for a second.
He answered and said, whether he is a sinner or not,
I do not know one thing.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
I know.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I thought I was although I was blind. Now I
see that's a testimony right here. I once was blind.
Now I see. It's not about having every theological argument.
(21:12):
It's about the experience and transformation. Jesus touches you. You
don't need to explain it. Your life becomes the evidence. Amen.
You cannot argue against a personal experience when you have
(21:37):
a personal encounter. One of the best things you can
do when you witness is you tell people what Jesus
has done for you. And maybe even the people that
know you, your family members and loved ones, they know
and see the change. It used to be an angry person,
(22:00):
but now you're patient. He used to be selfish, but
now you are considerate. He used to be a drunk
or an alcohol or a drug addict. But now you're
living sober, clean, responsible, taking care of your family. You
cannot stand against the power of a testimony. Amen, Amen, hallelujah,
(22:30):
Verse twenty six. And he said to him again, what
did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?
He answered them, I told you already and you did
not listen. Why do you want to hear it again?
Do you also want to become his disciple? Man, I
(22:53):
love this dude. He like straight took it to him.
He's like, look, I was blind. Now I see I
don't know what y'all going through. At least, like I said,
these guys were investigating, they fell short because they would
(23:15):
not believe the miracles before their very eyes. Then they
reviled him and said, you are his disciple, but we
are Moses's disciple. We know that God spoke to Moses.
As for this fellow, we do not know where he
(23:36):
is from. Now, this is funny because people can be fickle.
We read in the last chapter or maybe the chapter before,
where they said, when Jesus told him that he was
the bread that came down from heaven, that they must
(23:57):
partake of that bread. And their argument was, we know
where he is from. It is not the son of
Joseph and Mary, And did he not grow up amongst us?
Like his familiarity stumbled them and caused them not to
follow him any longer. And Jesus himself said that a
(24:20):
prophet is not welcome in his own hometown. But now
these pharisees claim they don't know where he's from. It's like,
make up your mind. The crowd can go from one
way to the other. Please do not follow the crowd
follow the savior. People can be so fickle, and so
(24:46):
they wanted to revile this man who received a miracle.
You cannot argue against a personal encounter, a personal experience
with the King of kings. Now verse certain. The man
(25:18):
answered and said, why this is a marvelous thing that
you do not know where he is from. Yet he
has opened my eyes. Now we know that God does
not hear sinners. Now this is another it's just a saying,
(25:42):
like you can't build a doctrine on some of these things.
This is just an argument, a discussion of a man
who was born blind. Right, if God does not hear sinners,
then how did he hear a That's what we needed
to get saved. When we cried out to him. How
(26:06):
about people who don't know him and they call out
for help and he shows up, he hears sinners. Now,
he might not be in an intimate relationship with them
as we're called to be as believers, But I believe
(26:29):
that when sinners cry out, he hears us. And so
you got to find scriptures that back up scripture. Right,
But if anyone is a worshiper of God and does
(26:52):
his will, he hears them. Now that is true. If
we worship God and we do his will, he does
hear us. Since the world began, has it been unheard
of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was
born blind? This man were not from God, He could
(27:13):
do nothing. Amen, Now this is amazing how he's having
this discussion with this blind man and these pharisees. You
lost another one in verse thirty four. They answered it
said to him, you were completely born in sin and
(27:38):
you are teaching us, and they cast him out. Now,
how can they say that? How can they say he
was born in sin? They didn't know. I'm pretty sure
they were probably around the same age, right, so they
were probably babies themselves. So how do they know that
(27:58):
this man was completely born in sin, because they probably
held to the same thought as Jesus' disciples did, saying
who's sin that this man was born blind? He was
a popular thought, but it wasn't necessarily scripture, because Jesus
(28:19):
himself said, neither this man nor his parents, but so
that the works of God can be revealed Verse thirty five.
Jesus heard that they cast him out, and when he
had found him, he said to him, do you believe
(28:41):
in the Son of God? See it's important. Now this
man already went through the persecution, he went through the opposition.
He just went through the fire. Now this man was
probably league, just innocently sitting by the roadside mining his
(29:05):
business and didn't even see Jesus, right because he was blind,
and the Lord just either decided to heal him because
his story is not the same story as blind Barti Maus.
Blind Barti Maeus cried out, Jesus, our son of David,
(29:26):
have mercy. And they tried to quiet him. They tried
to tell him the hush, but he quiet out even
more like this man is blind and you're trying to
tell him to be quiet. That's why you cannot follow
the crowd. People are fickle and blind. Mayus received his
(29:47):
sight that way. So here's this guy minding his business,
gets healed and he's immediately thrown into the fire. Like
this is the first thing you see is these Pharisees
and Sagucies all up in your grill. Now, if you're
gonna go through all that, you might as well be
(30:09):
a believer, because you're already cast out the synagogue. Like
you can't you can't go and be a you know,
partaking the Jewish religion. So you're already a cast out.
So it's wise he had to bring this man to belief,
and sometimes, beloved, our belief in Christ will cost us.
(30:33):
Are we prepared to pay the price, Just like recently
we just saw Charlie Kirk get assassinated. He was going
to college campuses preaching and teaching biblical principles. I don't
(30:53):
know what you would want to say about him. I
know there's a lot of controversy around him and around
this situation, but I respect a man for standing up
with scriptures, standing up for the Word of God, and
like many men in the Word in the Bible, he
(31:15):
gave his life for it. He became a martyr. The
question is could we stand for the Lord that way,
the way he has done, hopefully by the grace of God.
The answer is yes to all of us, because we
never know that the Lord will call us, calling us
(31:41):
to make this type of stand in our faith. Amen.
So he says, do you believe in the Son of God?
He answered and said, who is he? Lord? That I
may believe in him? Jesus said to him, you have
both seen him, and it is he who is talking
(32:03):
to you. Hallelujah. So he reveals himself, and this is
a beautiful conversion of this blind man. He said, Lord,
I believe, and he worshiped him. You see belief cause
(32:24):
for action, we need to take time out to worship
him daily and to do his will. Only those who
are true worshipers are the ones who are empowered to
do his will. Hallelujah. First study seven. And Jesus said
(32:50):
to him, you have both seen him, and it is
he who is talking to you. Then he said to him, Lord,
I believe, and worshiped him. Thirty nine. And Jesus said,
for judgment, I have come into this world that those
who do not see may see, and that those who
(33:12):
see may be made blind. Then some of the Pharisees
who were with him heard these words and said to him,
are we blind? Also? You just said to them, if
you were blind, you would have no sin. Now you
say that we see therefore your sin remains. Now that
(33:37):
is tragic, and let's break that down real quick. Jesus
revealed that spiritual blindness is more dangerous than physical blindness.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Look like lost another one.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Those who think they see meaning the self righteous are
actually in the dark.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Love it.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
You need to really really study this and examine your heart.
Do you know someone who is self righteous? Sometimes we
can fall into that very trap. Remember, the Bible says
the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Who can know it?
Our very hearts can deceive us. That's why we need
(34:30):
to stay in the word of God. Are you always
judging others? Are you a judgmental person? Are you overly corrective?
Do you always want to correct someone else before you
want to correct your own issues in your own life? Right?
(34:50):
Are you always critical of others? You want to criticize
every little thing, and you want to correct every little thing,
But then you think you can do no wrong when
it's time for you to be corrected. You're always arguing
against it. That's a sign that you could be spiritually blind,
(35:17):
a pharisee or religious pharisee, and that you could be
a self righteous person. If I were you, I would
break it down, break down self righteous in the Greek,
the Hebrew, study it all the way. As a matter
(35:37):
of fact, I'm gonna do that. Maybe we can do
a podcast and just break it all down, because that's
very important. The light of Christ doesn't just expose, it
also transforms. Don't let pride block your vision. Don't let
(36:03):
your pride cause you to be blind. If we humble ourselves,
he'll give us eyes to see the truth clearly. Let
me say that again. If we walk humbly before our King,
he will give us eyes so that we can have
(36:28):
spiritual sight and so that we can see clearly. Amen,
We'll be right back right after this.
Speaker 4 (36:44):

song for the topic today. This blind man was cast
out of the synagogue. They were hating on him because
he received a healing from the Son of God. Come on, sometimes, beloved,
(41:39):
it's gonna be like that in our walk with the Lord.
Are we able to withstand the heat and not fall
away and not get offended? Amen?
Speaker 1 (41:53):
All right?
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Our next segment is the accountability partner. This is where
we meet up in their life chat where we you know,
just say hey, pray for me or maybe there's something
that you're dealing with. There is one thing about sin
and that the Word of God does confirm that our
(42:16):
sins will separate us from our walk with the Lord.
So it's good that we get with the group that
is working through sin right, working to repent from it,
working to walk away from it, calling up on the
Lord for change, trying to ingrab the Word in our hearts.
(42:39):
And that is what this podcast is all about. Meet
us into life chat so that we can get some
iron that sharpens iron, you know what I mean. And
it was put in my heart because as I work
the altar at church, there's been people that have come
(43:03):
up and they deal with the same sin, like for
a whole year, struggle with the same thing, and I'm like, WHOA,
there's got to be some accountability. There's got to be
someone that can help you pray through this and give
you the word and stuff like that, and sometimes that's
(43:24):
what's missing. Jesus said, go and make disciples, and so yeah,
you can say that this is our little small group
right here on the radio station. As we come together
in the live chat, make sure you log in so
we can connect with you. And also, if you want
to take it a step further, go to the top
left menu, then click the drop down go to podcasts
(43:49):
and go to his Hot Radio podcast and right there
there's a form you can fill out. It's like a
self checklist. Ask yourself these questions. Be honest with you yourself.
Go ahead and make it a discipline. Don't be lazy.
This is your spiritual development, your spiritual walk. I you
need to build some spiritual muscle. Go to that area,
(44:14):
go through that list, do a little self check and
then there's a section that says would you like for
us to follow up with you? Fill it out, send
it in and myself or a team member will follow
up with you and help you with this walk. Amen.
So the challenge for this week is call up your
(44:38):
spiritual partner if you have one already. If you don't,
hit us up, but hit up your accountability partner and
ask him this question.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Say, have.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
Your spiritual site been good lately? How is it?
Speaker 3 (44:57):
Are you.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
Blind or have you been seeing clearly? How have you
been seeing lately?
Speaker 3 (45:05):
Have you been.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Distracted by what you see in this natural world. We're
talking about paying bills or stress or even people hating
on you. Have you been distracted by those things? Right?
(45:27):
Then you ask a question, where have I been walking
blind at? Is there a blind spot?
Speaker 1 (45:36):
Where is it?
Speaker 2 (45:37):
The Holy Spirit? Will we vial it to you and
pray with your accountability partner, And then let's pray for
each other in his life Chat as God restores our
spiritual focus. If you want prayer, just type into life
Chat and say pray for me and we'll come back
(46:04):
later in his life Chat and look and see and pray. Amen,
pray that our spiritual focus will be restored. Hallelujah. Also,
we want to let you know that this is how
radio is a monitored in a reporting radio station and
(46:26):
we are actually we have a rating system right there
on the app. Once your song plays or your favorite
song plays, give it a thumbs up and the app,
every station on the app has the ability to vote
for the particular song and you can rank number one

for you to get that exposure, so hit us up
on the website. All right, now, it's time for trivia.
(48:20):
Trivia time. The question is what was the name of
the pool where Jesus sent the blind man to wash?
What was the name of the pool Jesus told the
blind man to wash? This is actually multiple choice, so
(48:44):
I'm gonna put the choices down there, and all you
have to do is pick the right one. Amen. It
will be our trivia champ for today. And now our
(49:06):
ranting champ is our brother Zone three. So uh see
if if y'all can get the answer and knock him
off of the throne on the live chat trivia looking wrong,

look see what God is doing. Right, Don't just look
at the natural, don't just look at the situation. Don't
just look at the circumstance. You gotta look past that.
