of the his Hop Radio podcast right here on His
Hop Radio. I'm your brother, I'm your boy, mister his Hop,
I'm your host today and we're right back in the
(00:52):
Book of Acts. Hey, that rhyme a little bit, man,
I'm dropping some bars. Welcome back to the Book of
Acts today. Today, we're actually gonna start chapter three, starting
chapter three, and we're gonna pick it up in verse one.
So grab your bibles, your highlighters, and no pass make
(01:13):
sure you follow along as we go verse by verse,
chapter by chapter on our podcast, because we believe with
our whole hearts that being grafted word is able to
save our souls. Amen, hallelujah. And we're gonna look at
Peter and John. We're about to walk into a divine
(01:37):
appointment and this chapter sets up one of the most
powerful miracles that we read about in the New Testament. Hallelujah.
Just a little bit of background. In the Book of Acts,
Jesus ascends. We see that Jesus will ascend into heaven
(01:59):
and tells us that these are the things that Jesus
began to do and teach. So that means Jesus is
still working today, but he's working by the power the
Holy Spirit. The promise has come and falling. Once the
apostles were all together in one accord in the upper room,
(02:21):
we saw the dunamus power, the dynamite power of the
Holy Spirit fall on the one hundred and twenty, which
were the apostles and Peter. And now we saw the transformation.
These people changed. These people were different because they were
(02:46):
empowered by the Holy Spirit. And not only that, we
see that Peter stood up boldly proclaiming the Word to
the whole nation. At once he was afraid of a
servant girl. Now he is bold confronted the nation with
(03:08):
the Word of God. So they were empowered by the
Spirit mixed with word of God and our obedience. That's
a deadly combination. Amen, that means revival is gonna fall.
That means demons can't stand a chance. That means we
(03:28):
can win back our communities. So we can see the
power and the effect of the Spirit once we are empowered. Now,
this is another experience. We experienced regeneration by the spirit.
That's salvation. You become alive again as a new creature
(03:50):
in Christ, your spirit man is born again, and then
we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, where we
do receive power. And this is what we're looking at now. Amen,
and I hope and I believe everyone who follows us
(04:12):
in this book that the power of the Holy Spirit
will fall upon you. Amen, hallelujah. Now, also we want
you to follow us in our life Chat. All you
have to do is download the hits our radio app,

(05:39):
app it's not working, but hey, we got a way.
So if you've logged into the live chat. You need
to update your pick or add one. Just go to
the website his how nation dot com, hover over news

(06:00):
just update everything through your browser. Amen. Let's go be
for the Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you
for another beautiful day. Thank you God. This is the
day that you have made. We will rejoice and be
glad in it. Oh God, made the power of the
Holy Spirit fall on us today, made it fill us
up today. Old God, give us a heart posture of surrender. Today.
(06:24):
Let us yield to the leading of the Spirit today,
Old God, help us to walk in the mind of Christ,
Oh God. And if anyone is trying to drag us
into our old way of thinking, Oh God, I'd pray
that they will not be successful. They will be blocked
and hindered. And I bind in the name of Jesus
(06:44):
all the activities of Satan on today in Jesus' name. Amen.
All right, let's dive into it. Chapter three already gave
(07:05):
you a good background on it, so we'll just go
ahead and get in the scripture. Now. Peter and John
went up together to the temple at the hour of
prayer the ninth hour. Now, the early Church kept the
Jewish hours of prayer even after the Resurrection. They weren't
(07:33):
trying to start a new religion. They were living out
the fulfillment of the old religion. Right, Jesus is the
fulfillment of the law. Now, let's look again at the
unity because they went up together in discipline. This was
(07:57):
their hour of prayer. Happens when we put ourselves in
a position to be used by God. You can kind
of say the same with us on this podcast because
we're coming together, right, We're bringing unity. Our hearts are
linking together under the word of God. At least I
(08:18):
pray that it is in an hour of prayer. At
eleven o'clock am is our hour to meet up in
the live chat. It's an hour to meet up like
in one accord, and we do pray, we get on
the call after the podcast, we pray together. Myself is
zone three. Shout out to my brother's zone. So if
(08:40):
you want to be a part of that, just go
ahead and join us in a live chat and tell
a friend and a family member so we can put
ourselves in position for God to move Amen. Verse three,
And a certain man lame from his mother's wound, was
(09:02):
carried whom they laid daily at the gates of the temple,
which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who
entered the temple. This man had never walked. This is
not a temporary condition for this man. His entire life
(09:27):
was defined by limitation. Sometimes we sit at the gate
of Beautiful with ugly problems. But God specializes in turning
long term pain into a long term testimony. Hallelujah. And
(09:55):
he said that again. You may have been dealing with
something and it seems like this is long term or
it's never going to change. But God can turn that
long term situation into a long term testimony. Hallelujah. Verse three,
(10:16):
who sees Peter and John about to enter into the
temple asked for alms. Now the lame man expected money,
but God was about to give a miracle. Amen that
(10:38):
we often ask God for small things when He wants
to give us something even greater. Hallelujah. Now you think
that would have been the perfect place where people should
have compassion. Right they're entering into the temple. It's almost
like right before you come to church, there's someone asking
(11:02):
for assistance, maybe a homeless person or something like that.
Now verse four, and fixing their eyes on him with John,
Peter said, look at us. Now, Peter wasn't being prideful.
He was demanding the man's full attention so faith could
(11:26):
take hold of him. Sometimes you can't receive until you focus.
Miracles demand attention. Amen, it's a The battlefield is in
the mind. We need to ask God, ask the Holy
Spirit to help us to focus sometimes when we're in
(11:48):
the midst of testing and trial and verse five. So
he gave them his attention expecting to receive something from them.
Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles. As a matter
of fact, I remember when I first met my wife.
(12:13):
I came to church one day and she was one
of the ushers, and she met me at the door
and she said, and I never saw it before, we
were strangers, but she said to me, come with expectation. Amen.
(12:40):
Even if your expectation could be small, God can multiply it.
God can work with that. Give God something to work with. Amen.
Then Peter said, silver and gold have I do not have,
or have I none? I believe it's an old testament right.
(13:03):
Silver and gold I do not have. But what I
do have I give you in the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, Rise up and walk a man. Now
(13:24):
the authority wasn't in Peter, it was in the name
of Jesus. Peter didn't offer money, He offered Christ himself. Hallelujah.
Your real power and ministry is not your resources, its
(13:47):
relationship with Jesus. Hallelujah. You can't give what you don't have,
but you can give Jesus. Jesus is more valuable than
(14:08):
any type of money that you can give someone. Amen,
Verse seven and eight. And he took him by the
right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet
and ankle bones received strength. Praise God. So he leaping up,
(14:38):
stood and walked and entered the temple with them, walking,
leaping and praising God. Hallelujah. Okay, so now I see
where fresh wind gets at from Amen, walking and leaping
and praising God. The healing was instant. There was no rehabilitation,
(15:06):
no delay. It was a straight up creative miracle. Now
let's notice this order. He was lifted up first, then
strength came, strength came into his ankles. Then after he
(15:28):
received strength, he leaked and he started praising God. Hallelujah.
Sometimes worship will hit after we step out in faith,
but by far the best time is to worship even
(15:51):
before you see the miracle, Hallelujah, verse nine through ten.
All the people saw him walking and praising God. They
were filled with wonder and amazement. A true miracle will
(16:18):
make God famous, not you. We gotta be careful, and
God is using us when we're using these gifts. When
we use the gift of prophecy or word in the
wisdom and word of knowledge, when we're able to help
someone get their lives together, it's the word of God.
(16:40):
It's not you and it's not me. When we see
people healed, I was thinking about Elijah. The message was
passed a couple of sundays ago about Elijah. And when
a general king to get healed, and Elijah told him
(17:03):
to dip into Jordan river seven times. And he was
coming to give Elijah gifts like this was the king's servant.
So this guy had money, He was a mighty man
of valor from his nation. And Elijah turned it all down.
He says, I will not receive anything from you like
(17:24):
Elijah was not about to receive the glory that only
belongs to God. Hallelujah. I thought that was an amazing heart.
Verse eleven through twelve. Peter quickly redirected the attention. He said,
(17:47):
why look so intently on us, as though by our
own power or godliness we made this man walk. Peter
rejects credit and points every want to Jesus, every gift,
every breakthrough, every blessing. Make sure the glory goes back
(18:10):
to the one who gave it. Hallelujah. And I could
testify myself. God has fought so many battles in my life. Amen,
I am still here only because of him, Thank you Lord. Now,
(18:34):
Peter preaches Jesus boldly in verse thirteen through sixteen, connecting
the miracle to the resurrected Christ. Now Peter wants you see,
people people will want not Peter, but people want signs.
(18:56):
But Peter gave him the Savior. This is the greater need,
more than just signs. Now Verse seventeen through twenty six,
just because of the sake of time. I'm not gonna
read it all. I'm gonna leave that to you, but
(19:18):
I'm going to give you the breakdown. Amen. Now, Peter
calls Israel to repentance, and he offers hope. He says,
repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out. Hallelujah. The miracle opened the door for the message.
(19:43):
Healing was just to set up salvation was the goal.
Or you say healing is just debated right the calling card.
But salvation should always be the main goal of all
of our ministries. Why do we do what we do.
(20:05):
We go out in the community, we outreach, we partner
with people. Why are we doing it? Why do we
do it? We do it so people can have a
greater one on one relationship with God through the power
(20:26):
of the Holy Spirit. If that's not what we're doing,
then we're failing. If you're not. If I'm pointing you
to myself, and if I'm drawing you to me, then
I have failed as a servant of Christ. Paul said,
follow me as I follow Christ. My job is to
(20:48):
point you to the Savior so that you can yield
your life and have a real relationship with Him yourself.
And I want to share this with you. It starts
with your mind. Your mind is always going to lead
(21:12):
your life. That's why Satan tried so hard to put
thoughts in your head. He wants control of your mind.
If he can control your mind, he can control your life.
But if we renew our minds with the Word of God,
and we learn how to cast down imaginations and take
every thought captive into the mind of Christ, we need
(21:33):
That's why we need to constantly be crying out to
the Holy Spirit. We need to think about what we
think about. A lot of people don't know they have
an option or choice. A lot of people just roll
with whatever thought falls into their head because they don't
know that the enemy is able to plant thoughts there.
But we can recognize that that's from the enemy. I
(21:54):
cast that down in the name of Jesus. Cry to
the Holy Spirit. Focused, start worshiping and in praising God,
start quoting the word, start memorizing the word a man,
use the word just like Jesus did when he was tempted.
Because a carnal mind is death, but the spiritual mind
(22:15):
is life. We need to contend for the mind of
Christ to stay spiritually minded. We're going to be attackted
with worry, with lust, with jealousy, with fear. All these
things do not come from God. And that's we should
easily recognize that. And then we just take our heart
(22:36):
before the Lord. Like, Lord, look at my heart right now,
right now, I want to lust after this female or male.
And Lord, I know this is not your will for
my life. So I surrendered these thoughts and desires to
the Holy Spirit. Burn them by your holy presence. I
cast them down in the name of Jesus. I bind them,
(23:01):
and I bring my thoughts to the obedience of Christ.
That's just a quick example of how your prayer life
should look when we are renewing our mind. Hey man,
it's a process, but we can get there. If you fall,
get back up. But it's important to have the mind
(23:24):
of Christ if we're gonna walk this thing out and
be victorious. Amen. All right, let's take a quick break.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
is the hiss hop radio show.

Speaker 5 (24:14):
To reach people in the place that is dark and
grim and them, I have to dig real deep inside
the core of my mind and tore and search and
trying to find the door of inspiration. As I explore,
I walk by the door that owes all the memories
of pain. Ivan doors and past the chambers will relack
away my pride with thoughts. So I keep kicking the
producers at a vinyl store until I find the door
(24:35):
where all of my brinds are stored. Because behind it
like the drive that inspires more. As soon as I
open it, I know when I get write in four
whether it's songs that have more bounced than diving boards
on the ground, like the spinal corner a China saur.

To the horse.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
Sorry, but looking over the load, the motion flowing through
my bones making the lines and my brons reached the
very center rug your soul. You're leading it towards the
one that made the grind man's seed with the red sea,
and new way to save is to bleed. So of
course my portion defies gravity. It spibles taught my Lord,
I wouldn't be having it on a different course. Challenge
in my faith courses greatness to emerge, and right about
(25:10):
now I swear it's surging for my core in these
dark times. I'm not nervous because I know who's greater.
The Savior overcame, the brave, the ultimate tomb raider. He's
called us to be greater than the world and not waiver.
I won't cater till my flesh. I'm no waiter. I'm
gaming my arsenal towards the one that tries to slave.
Here the devil can't stop me. I won't bow down

He wants to get us alone. He wants to us isolated,
get us in the corner, and then start beating on us,
beating on us, hitting us with our fleshly desires, meeting
