John chapter seventeen, John chapter seventeen. This episode is entitled
The Prayer that Shakes Heaven. Heymen. This passage of scripture
is known as the High priestly Prayer of Our Lord
(03:39):
and Savior. It is the heart of Jesus. Right, So
let's pray as we go through this together. Heavenly Father,
we thank you, Lord God, for another day, another opportunity,
Father God, to grow in your word, another opportunity to
repent if we need to, so that we can come
(04:01):
into a place of freedom and liberty. Father God, to
help us Lord, to hold each other accountable here on
this podcast. Help us to pray for one another, lift
each other up, encourage each other. Yes, God, as we
come together as a group, as we come together as
a family, as we come together as a support team. Hallelujah,
(04:27):
We thank you and we praise you. And God's people said,
amen and amen. All right, all right, Well, like I said,
this is John chapter seventeen. This is the prayer that
shakes Heaven. Make sure you grab your bibles, you know,
(04:49):
pass and your highlighters as we follow along. And I
want to encourage you. If you get anything out of
this podcast, we encourage you to dig deeper on your
own studies, get the scriptures and references, dig deeper, go
a little further, and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal
(05:11):
things to you. And make sure you like, share, and
subscribe on all of our platforms. Send this podcast out
to unsaved family members and loved ones so that they
can get a feast. You know, we feast on here.
You know what I mean. We hold nothing back. We
believe in the whole counsel of God and so amen.
(05:36):
All right, Well, a little background. This whole thing started
to take place at the what we call the Last Supper.
We saw Judas is Scariot leave the table to go
and do. Jesus said to go, whatever you do, do
it quickly. And he was on his way to betray him.
(06:00):
And even though Jesus he knows that these are his
final hours, he turns his attention to his disciples. He
want to prepare them. He wanted to let them know
that they're not leftist orphans. He's not leaving them by themselves.
But he must go back to the Father. He desires
to be with the Father. As a matter of fact,
he told them, you would rejoice if you love me,
(06:24):
because I said, I go back to the Father. It
is an amazing and a beautiful place to be in
the presence of the Father. Hallelujah. I can't wait until
I get there, hallelujah. But before I get there, I
need to bring as many people as possible. Hey man,
(06:45):
we are here to prepare of people for Heaven, for
Heaven's courts. Prepare ourselves as we prepare one another. Amen.
So we're gonna look at the heart of Jesus. This
is right before his crucifixion. He knew that he was
getting ready to leave, and this is his prayer, and
(07:06):
this is his heart towards his disciples in towards us
as well. Amen. So let's start off in verse one.
And it says Jesus spoke these words, lifted up his
eyes to Heaven and said, Father, the hour has come,
(07:30):
glorify your son, that your son also may be glorified
in you. Amen. Hallelujah. Now Jesus looks towards Heaven, the
place of authority and communion. The hour he spoke of
(07:54):
is the cross, the moment of suffering that will ultimately
glorify by the Father. And it's through redemption, the redemption
of the human race. This right here is deep. You see,
Jesus didn't pray with his head down, even though he
(08:15):
was on his way to be crucified. He knew what
was coming. He knew the persecution and the physical abuse
that he was about to undertake. But he prayed with
his eyes lifted up this confidence and connection. He wasn't
(08:44):
praying to escape the cross, but to fulfill his purpose
through it. Sometimes our hour of testing is actually.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
Our hour.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Of glory if we trust God through the process. Heymen,
let me say that again. Our hour of testing can
be the very hour of glory if we trust God
through the process. Amen is getting good already, hallelujah. I
(09:28):
love the word. All right, let's tackle verse two and three.
As you have given him authority over.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
All flesh, that he should give eternal life to as
many as you have given him.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
And this eternal life that they may know you, excuse me,
And this is eternal life that they may know you,
the only true God, and Jesus Christ, who you have sent.
(10:18):
This is interesting that Jesus here is speaking in the
third person. That kind of threw me off for a second.
I'm like, he said, who him? But I get it.
He was speaking of hisself in the third person. And
eternal life isn't about endless existence, It's about relationship. Knowing
(10:40):
God personally is the very essence of life ever lasting.
You know, this verse kills the idea that salvation is
just about going to heaven. It's not just about going
to heaven, it's about knowing God.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Eternal life begins when your relationship with him begins. When
you say that again, eternal life begins, and your relationship
with God begins when you begin to know the Father. Hallelujah,
(11:23):
Verse four and five. I have glorified you on the earth.
I have finished the work which you have given me
to do. Amen. And now o Father, glorify me together
with yourself with the glory which I had with you
(11:45):
before the world was hallelujah. Now this is awesome before
the world was.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Now.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
If you notice here Jesus speaks of his mission as
already completed. The cross was certain it was gonna happen.
This reveals his divine preexistence and unity with the Father.
(12:30):
This is Jesus saying mission accomplished right before the cross
even happened. That's faith in full maturity. And notice he
remembers his heavenly glory. That's where he was headed. He
(12:50):
was headed back to heaven to the very glory that
he left, and that is the same place where he
is bringing us. Hallelujah. Amen. If you know him, if
you have a relationship with him. He's bringing us. As
(13:11):
a matter of fact, the Bible says that we are
already seated in heavenly places in Christ. Jesus verse six
and eight, I have manifested your name to the men
whom you have given me out of the world. They
(13:35):
were yours. You have given them to me, and they
have kept your word. Hallelujah, Oh God, let this be
our prayer. Hallelujah. Let us be men that the Father
has given to Christ. Let us be men that will
(13:56):
keep his word. Amen. Now they have known that all
things which you have given me are from you. I've
given to them the words which you have given me,
and they have received them and have known surely that
(14:22):
I came forth from you, And they have believed that
you sent me a man. I love it. I love it.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Now.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Jesus declares that he has revealed the Father's name to
his disciples. They received the word and they believed it.
There's one thing to receive the word, and it's a
whole nother thing to believe the word. These are two
(15:04):
separate things. Make sure that once we receive it, that
we believe it as well. God's truth is given to
those who are ready to receive. Faith is the open
door to revelation. And you say that again, your faith
(15:28):
is the open door to revelation. Jesus poured into his crew.
He didn't just preach to them, He revealed God to them. Leaders,
listen up. Your calling is to reveal God to your circle,
(15:49):
not just speak about Him, not just talk about them,
not just say the right things. But we are to
re ill God to our circle. Amen. That means pastors,
spiritual leaders, people, mentors, evangelists, all of us. If we're
(16:14):
going into our community and we're not revealing God and
then we are not fulfilling the mission. Amen. Verse nine
through twelve. I pray for them. I do not pray
for the world, but for those whom you have given me.
(16:39):
Now that's interesting, I wonder why he chose not to
pray for the world. But this is exclusively for those
whom the Father has given. And he said, for they
are yours, and all mine are yours, and yours are mine.
And I am glorified in them. Hallelujah. See He's even
(17:04):
glorified in us. Now I am no longer in the world,
but these are in the world, and I came to you,
Holy Father. Keep through your name, those who you have
given me, that they may be one as we are one. Amen.
(17:29):
Now that's a point important, that is very important. We're
going to drop back to that in a minute, as
we are one. While I was with them in the world,
I kept them in your name. Those whom you gave
me I kept, I have kept, And none of them
(17:52):
is lost except the son of tradition that the scripture
might be fulfilled. And right there he's talking about judas
a scariot. So there's a lot of meat right here.
So let's break this down on more time. I mean,
(18:16):
not one more time, but you know what I mean.
Jesus prays specifically for his disciples, not for the world yet,
but for those entrusted to him. He asks a father
to keep them in unity. His prayer covers spiritual protection
(18:37):
and it covers unity. Now key elements for the church
to thrive spiritual protection in unity, unity is protection. You see,
division opens the door to the enemy. Jesus knew the
(19:02):
importance of keeping his people won. I mean, let's think
about it like this. You got lions out on the
savannah right looking for their next meal, their next prey,
and so what they want to do is they want
(19:22):
to scare the herd. They want to get them into panic, right,
and then they want them to begin to break apart.
They're looking for the stragglers, for the one to stray
away from the herd, because there's power in the herd,
(19:46):
there's power in unity. If they heard, if they all
band together and fight the enemy, they would get away.
But once we are divided and split and isolated, that's
when he will devour his prey. And the Bible warns
(20:08):
us that Satan rooms around like a roaring lion, seeking
whom he may devour. And so I'm thinking, you know,
I'm thinking of my own household. You know, if you
heard the podcast yesterday, you know that we're going through
a situation right now with one of my step children,
(20:30):
my stepdaughter, and she has left the house. She called
her dad, he called, they called the police. And this
they're trying to accuse us of stuff. You know, she
just doesn't want to submit to the to the rules
of the house. At this point, God is working on her.
(20:52):
Please keep her in prayer. But before we got to
this point, she would isolate, lead herself to her room.
She would not be a part of the family. She
would go and isolate ourselves and see teenagers. Be careful,
Be careful. Don't allow your teenagers to lock themselves up
(21:14):
in the room and isolate themselves. That is a dangerous
place to be alone with your own thoughts like that.
Make sure you're feeding your children the word. I don't
care how old they are. Make sure you're renewing their
mind with the word. Wash your family with the word. Amen,
(21:38):
because that is the battle, and that is what the
enemy attacks. He attacks our thought life. Amen. Remember, unity
is protection. All right, let's go to verse thirteen. We're
(22:00):
gonna take it between thirteen and nineteen. But now I
come to you, and these things I speak in the world,
that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I
(22:20):
have given them your word, and the world has hated
them because they are not of the world, just as
I am not of the world. Amen. All right. Actually,
(22:48):
we're gonna take it to nineteen and go back to fourteen.
I have given them your word, and the word has
I mean, I've given them your word. In the world
has hated them because they are not of the world,
just as I am not of the world. Fifteen. I
(23:13):
do not pray that you should take them out of
the world, that you should keep them from the evil one. Hallelujah.
Thank you for this prayer. We need to rejoice, which
need praise God for that prayer. Keep us from the
evil one. They are not of the world, just as
(23:35):
I am not of the world. Sanctify them by your truth.
Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world,
I also have sent them into the world, and for
their sakes I sanctify myself that they also may be
(23:58):
sanctified by the truth. Amen. Hallelujah. That was a lot
right there now. Jesus asked that his disciples be sanctified
by the truth. Your word is truth. Sanctification means to
be set apart, separated from the world for the purposes
(24:22):
of God. Amen. Are you living a sanctified life? Are
you living a life that is separated for the purposes
of God? Or are you joining in with the world.
(24:43):
If you're following Christ, you cannot blend in with the world.
You can't compromise. You can't Light and darkness cannot fellowship together.
You have been set apart, like clean dishes ready to
be used, not dirty ones still in the seink.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
In it.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
You're not a dirty dish. Anymore. When we were in
the world, we were filthy. But God has cleansed us
and he's ready to use us, and he wants to
set us apart. Get us ready and prepared, Amen, all right,
twenty through twenty three. I do not pray for those alone,
(25:37):
but also for those who will believe in Me through
their word. Now this is us. Pay attention, perk up
your ears. He is praying for us right now, that
they all may be one, as you Father are in
me and I in you. They also may be one
(26:02):
in us. That the world may believe that you sent me,
and the glory which you gave me, I have given them,
that they may be one, just as we are one,
I in them and you in me. That they may
(26:25):
be made perfect in one, and that the world may
know that you have sent me and have loved them
as you have loved me. Wow, this is amazing. This
is a beautiful prayer right here, Jesus. Now praise for
(26:52):
us those who would believe through the disciples word, right
through the words of the New Testament, through the epistles
that we read so often. Hey Man, Matthew, Mark, Luke John,
their word, through their words of the Disciples, that we
(27:14):
would believe that they all may be one as you
Father are in me and I in you. This unity
isn't organizational, right, We're not talking about community organizers. This
(27:37):
unity is spiritual. True oneness comes from abiding in Christ.
Let me say that again. True oneness comes from abiding
in Christ. That's powerful. Jesus prayed for you before you
were even born, and man, Jesus knew your life. He
(28:02):
knew that you would be here, that I would be here,
and he prayed for us. You're part of his eternal vision. Hallelujah.
That should make somebody run around the church right now,
jump up for joy. Hallelujah. We are a part of
his eternal vision. He wants his people to walk in harmony,
(28:27):
not in competition, and his heartbreaking to see so much
competition out there in the body of Christ and man,
even in our genre. And when I had the physical
building operating club, his hop, our youth gospel club that
(28:48):
we open back in twenty twelve, there were other hip
hop ministries in the city. And what would happen, You know,
I would establish a day to do an event. I
established the second Fridays of every month so that everyone
(29:11):
would know that hey we're doing an event. We got
this this planned out, we got a schedule, and then
other ministries would decide to do their event on the
same day and then would get offended because I would
not cancel my event. They felt that my event should
(29:35):
be canceled. They looked at me as I'm, you know,
competing against them, and I couldn't already had people coming.
I had people that already booked their planes, people had
already made arrangements to travel, the artists to come out
and to minister at the club. So I couldn't do it.
(29:58):
And they we could have, you know, we could have
maybe try to bind the events together or something.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
It looks another one.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
But that was like out of a spirit of competition.
And I don't know, maybe I was wrong, Maybe I
should have canceled my event. I don't know. I'm not
saying I'm perfect, that I've done everything right, but as
the Body of Christ, we should have been loving on
each other, being more supportive and trying to work together.
(30:31):
Because a lot of this stuff I heard through the grapevine.
But anyway, that's in the past. This prayer is for
us to be united now present day. I'm not bitter
I'm not angry, and if I am, I will repent.
(30:55):
I like to be transparent and honest about everything, especially
you know, as I go before the Lord, and you know,
do these podcasts and minister and all that, and you know,
I'm convicted myself. The Word is working through me as well.
That's the power of the word. It's a mirror. And
(31:15):
so yeah, it was offensive. I felt offended that they
should have known my schedule, like I made it clear
and plain, and how is it that I'm the one
in the wrong. So, Father, I released that. I give
that over to you. I put it on the altar.
(31:35):
I cast down imagination, and I take every thought captive.
Oh Lord, I am to walk in love as your
word says, and as you prayed for us as a body,
let us all to come together in unity. I agree
with this prayer in Jesus name. Amen. Hallelujah. All right,
(31:58):
let's go to verse one t four as we wrap
up another chapter in the Word. Hallelujah. Father, I desire
that they also whom you gave me, may be with
me where I am, that they may hold my glory
(32:20):
which you have given me, for you loved me before
the foundation of the world. Hallelujah, Oh Righteous Father. The
world has not known you, but I have known you,
and these have known that you sent me. And I
(32:42):
have declared to them your name, and will declare it
that the love which you loved me may be in
them and I in them. Hallelujah. This is amazing. Jesus
wants to share the love of the Father with us
(33:06):
on his love, the love that the Father has for him.
Please remember with me when he was baptized by John
the Baptist, a voice came from heaven, and the voice said,
this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.
(33:27):
This is a level of love that Jesus is offering
his heart and his prayer. He wants to share this
love of the Father.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
It looks like Amen.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Jesus ends this prayer longing for his followers to be
with him in glory and to know the Father's love. Wow,
this is like blowing away right now. It's almost like
reading a love note, write a love letter. It's like,
(34:04):
what this is the climax of divine love. Christ's desire
for eternal fellowship with his Redeemed It is amazing that
he even desires, he desires for us to be with
(34:24):
him and for us to behold his glory. He wants
to show us his glory. He wants us be with
him forever. Now that's love.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
You know.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Some of us we're around each other a couple of
months and it gets old quick.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
You know.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Even marriages we question ourselves, you know, like is this
going to last? Go to distance? Right, that's the challenge
in most relationships. But Jesus, his desire for all eternity
team is for us to be with him and to
share the Father's love, to know the love of the Father.
(35:08):
This chapter shows Jesus' heart like no other. His desire
isn't for fame or power, but for a relationship. He
wants us with him. Hallelujah. Wow, that's powerful. That's like
(35:30):
shaking my world right now. He wants us to be
with him. I can just feel his desire, Like, how
come we don't pray as often as we should? How
come we don't spend time with the word. How come
we don't spend time with him? Just spend time with him.
(35:53):
That's all he desires is us just to be with him. Man,
all right, let's take a break, y'all.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
is the hiss Hop radio show.

Speaker 4 (36:56):

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Why ain't finna?
Speaker 2 (36:57):
I ain't finna let it all go? Go let him off? No,
we break in sight goals.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
We need Vito, lay down your eight, don't pick up

Speaker 3 (37:20):

Speaker 4 (37:29):

can't wait too far.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
To turn back now, care else fast.
Speaker 7 (37:48):
Don't this.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
Tell me what JO said to me? All of my
demons is dead to me. All of my sins is
dead to me.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
That that that.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
All tell me what GD said to me. All of
them demons is dead to me. All of them sins
is dead to me.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
On gang, No, we came for the lost souls, not
for no profit or spot. That's Colosso walking into word.
The apostles interpreted the prophets how they see, but their
eyes closed. They ain't even know what they were scribing
the house, so they ain't know them words bring life
to a dying. So now I got a grind so hard,
a little boy trying to introduce the clay that they
got little boy. Uh, many messengers preach but did not
make it. Many shepherds of sheep but was not David.
(38:51):
Didn't I teach? And didn't I live in peace? Give
to the poem? Week scene on every black pavement. So
when a boy I really couldn't work a bunch of
gold di because they just would him for the perks,
the devil really working. Over time, I'm trying to get
plenty before the city, and I hearst I had to
go in the hiding. But now I'm back and reviving.
I can no longer be silent with all that's happening.
And when the Spirit behind it to get me highest narcotics,
my faith on all old pilot. When I be tapping
in it, I got all of the guidance and only
(39:12):
God can provide it. The Holy Spirit but invited me
on that path again.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
I'm coming back again with him demons, I don't see
him because all.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Of them can.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
You are listening to the light that in Las Vegas.
This is the Hiss Hop radio show.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Back We are back, and that was carrying the light.
We have come way too far to turn back now.
I completely agree, hey man, with that statement. All right,
now it's time for our accountability. Partner. This is a
segment that was placed on my heart. I was working
(40:33):
the altar at church and I noticed some of the
saints are still struggling with the same sin they struggled
with like a year ago. And sometimes you need accountability.
You need someone to pray with you, someone to come
alongside you, some good godly counsel and encouragement. We talked
about the power in the pact, the power of unity,
(40:55):
the protection that comes from united, being united right Avice
House cannot stand and so go to the app, click
on the top left menu. Once it drops down, go
to podcasts and go to my podcasts that radio podcast.
There is an accountability partner form to fill out. Is
(41:17):
a good checklist if you want to see how you're
doing spiritually. You got to develop your disciplines. You got
to develop your spiritual life. And also if you go
ahead and fill it out and submit it, there's an
option for someone to follow up with you. If you
need someone from our team or if we're working with
(41:38):
your pastor or something like that, we will, you know,
send a message over to them say hey, you know,
this brother needs prayer. And one of the things that
we would like to do as a segment is bring
people here on a podcast and talk them through their
situation here live on the show so that other people
(42:02):
can get encouraged. Right, the Bible says we overcome the
enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word
of our testimony. And sometimes working it out is not
just for you. You're going through things to help others.
That's how ministry starts.
Speaker 4 (42:20):
Right.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
Once you get the victory and authority in an area,
you're able to go out and deliver others as well.
And also we give you a challenge here on the podcast.
So the challenge today is to pray for someone by name,
(42:40):
lift someone up, lift your eyes up to Heaven and
intercede and pray for someone not just in general. Jesus
prayed specifically, so let's do the same. Let's do what
our Lord and Master did is pray for one another.
Speaker 5 (42:59):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
Also, we want to let you know that his Hot
Radio we are a monitored and a reporting radio station.
Submit your music. Go to his Hot Nation dot com
the website and hit the submissions tab and fill out
all the information and consider purchasing one of our promotional
packages because that's how you're gonna chart, That's how you're
(43:25):
gonna get up. You need the rotations, you need the exposure.
And also we can get you a spot here on
the app, your banner or on the website. A flyer
will send you out to our networks and get you
that exposure you need. You know, we become a serious
genre once we have a chart and we take over them.
(43:49):
A man take over the charts. Also, we want to
give a community shout out. It's how radio is a
community radio station. We are here to come alongside and
help the local ministries out here in Las Vegas, and
(44:12):
this radio station can be heard throughout the world. So
anyone could really cement an announcement if you have a
revival and outreach, if you're feeding the homeless, dropping off clothes,
or doing anything like that, passing out flyers, we want
to know about it. Go to our website His Hot
(44:35):
Nation dot com and this time look on the podcast
on from the website tab and you'll see the former
you fill out for the announcements and we can get
that to us and we will announce it live here
on the air. All y'all have to do is just
keep showing up at eleven o'clock or just play it
(44:55):
playing in the background. Just play his Hot Radio everywhere
you go, you know what I mean, and we can
get those announcements to you. And we also like to
get to updated about what we got going. December twentieth
is the date we want to do our Christ's Mess
event this year, and we're still looking for locations. Different
(45:16):
things like that. We give out toys, we help families
during this time of the year. We partner with different
people out in the community, and so we're going to
open it up soon the website so people can fill
out their information so that they can get registered, because
(45:39):
those who get registered get first choice to receiving the
toys and the resources that we have. Also, we want
to give our nonprofit organization a quick spotlight. It's how
(46:04):
Nation We are incorporated. We do have a board. I'm
the president. We are public charity as well. And if
you would like to donate monetarily, it is a tax
write off, it's tax deductible. If you're looking for some
more write offs for the end of the year, then hey,
(46:25):
you know, and you want to sew into good ground,
check us out on our website his hop nation dot com.
We believe in mentoring the youth. We visit the juvenile
detention centers here locally in Las Vegas. We spread the
gospel through concerts and events, do podcasts, radio, every form
of media. That's how we do.
Speaker 4 (46:48):

Yes, just uh.
