Speaker 1 (00:09):
Lives of the headquarters.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Hello, gets Hot Lost Vegas.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yo, Yo, Yo, what's up? What's up? Welcome back to
another episode of the Gospel the Giant series right here
on His Hop Radio. I'm your host, mister His Hop
and today we're stepping into one of the most powerful
chapters in the Bible, John chapter thirteen. Here Jesus takes
(00:52):
off his outer garment, grabs a towel, and washes his
disciples feet. We're about to see the servant king in
action and learn what real love and leadership looks like
in the Kingdom of God. Hallelujah. Now, as we do so,
(01:17):
I want to remind y'all to join us in the
Life Chat. All you have to do is download that
His Hot Radio app His Hop Radio on all platforms.
Don't type in hip hop. You'll get a million stations,
but His Hot we're the only one. We stand alone
because we stand for Christ. And once you download the app,
(01:39):
go to the top left menu, hit that drop down
and then hit the Life Chat tab and then it
takes literally five seconds to register. Just choose a username,
type that in your email address and a password, and
you are a part of the community and the family.
We jump on here. We have an a pointed time
(02:01):
to meet up every day at eleven o'clock in the
live chat. That is eleven o'clock in the live chat,
so that we could encourage each other, hold each other accountable,
pray for one another. This is discipleship right here on
the radio. So meet us live, join the community, and
don't just get the word, but do the word right.
(02:21):
Be a part of the movement. And also you can
check out all the other things we got going on
our website. His hot nation dot com is the website.
Once again, that is his hot nation dot com. We
want to see you there as well. All right, with
(02:43):
all that being said, grab your bibles, your highlighters in
your notepads, and follow along with us. This is, I
guess you could say, our Bible study during the week,
our little lunch break Bible study right clock am Pacific
standard time. Usually our people are in school. So if
(03:06):
you're in school or at work and it's eleven o'clock
normally that's the time to take your break. So strategically
we planned it that way so that you can get
some encouragement throughout the week until we meet up again
in our either midweek Bible study at church or Sunday
(03:28):
at church. So this is just to help you through
the week. So all right, let's go ahead and go
before Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you, Father God,
Oh Lord, for another awesome day. Father God, thank you
for this wonderful chapter, the chapter of your Word. Father God,
Help us, oh Lord, to and graph the word, Oh God,
(03:49):
allow it to save our souls. God, help us to
make the adjustments we need to make. Help us to
humble ourselves so that we can sit and serve you, guys,
so that we can love on you, Oh God. Yes God.
And we ask O God, Oh Lord, help us to
love one another. God. Help us to reach those who
are lost, Oh God. Help us to reach those who
are on their way to hell. God, and don't even
(04:10):
know if Father God, help us, O God, to open
up their eyes and their hearts, Oh God, and just
show them, Oh God, that you love them, Oh God,
Help us, O God, just to be your ambassador's Oh God.
And we asked this in Jesus' name, and God's people said,
a man, all right, thank you Father, this is awesome.
(04:35):
So we're actually going to start in verse one, right,
Let's take it in verse one, and it says, now
before the feasts of Passover, when Jesus went, excuse me,
when Jesus knew that his hour had come, that he
(04:57):
should depart from this world to the Father. Having loved
his own who were in the world, he loved them
to the end. Amen, this is awesome, encouraging, powerful, coming
right off the back. Remember, Jesus has been through the synagogus,
(05:22):
he been through a Jerusalem where they threatened to kill him.
He left, he withdrew himself from there, and then Lazareth
had passed away, so he was summoned to come back,
and he came and raised them from the dead. And
the religious leaders were so blind to where they even
wanted to kill Elijah as well as Jesus, being that
(05:46):
Elijah was a demonstration of his power and anointing. Like,
at what point do you realize you're fighting against God? Right,
and even people in our lives, people in this generation today,
when they fight against the Word, they fight against God's people,
they fight against the spirit. Like, at what point are
(06:06):
you going to realize you're fighting a losing battle, You're
actually fighting against the creator of the universe. And it's like, okay,
some lights need to come on, like we're not going
to win. And man, you cannot stop the move of God.
And as the Pharisees found out, they were not able
(06:30):
to stop him. And so we pick it up here
the feasts of the Passover. Now this is actually we're
looking at the final days of the life of Jesus
Christ as we begin to break it down and look, now,
this is going to be the final passover that Jesus
(06:53):
is going to attend because he knew his hour had
come that he should depart from this world. Now, this
verse highlights the death of our Lord and savior Jesus
in the depth of his love. He knows the cross
(07:15):
is near, yet his thoughts are fixed on his disciples,
not on himself, like if you knew you were about
to go through a great trial, or like you know,
just to look at Jesus's example, he knew that he
(07:35):
was about to depart from this world, but he was
thinking about his disciples. This is divine love on display.
Jesus didn't just love in word only. He loved to
the end. In Greek, to the end is s t
(07:57):
lesso e I s te os. I'm gonna let y'all
wrestle with that. Now, this means to the uttermost with
full measure. That's not just the fact that Jesus loves us,
(08:17):
it's the fact that he completely, even when we don't
deserve it, he loves us to the uttermost. Hallelujah, Thank
you Lord, thank you for the love. Somebody needed to
hear that. I needed to hear that that we are
loved to the uttermost by our Savior, as much as
(08:42):
we mess up, right, Amen, Verse two, and supper being ended,
the devil havn't already put it into the heart of
judas Is Scariot, Simon's son to betray him. Jesus, knowing
(09:02):
that the Father had given all things into his hands,
and that he had come from God and was going
to God, rose from supper and laid aside his garments,
took a towel and girded himself. Wow, okay, let's stop
(09:23):
right there. Actually, no, let's go ahead and go to five.
After that, he poured water into a basin and began
to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with
the towel which he was girded. All right, now we
(09:45):
can stop the devil having already put it into the
heart of Judas Iscariot. Jesus rose from supper and laid
inside his garments, took a towel and girded himself. The
creator of heaven and earth becomes a servant. He lays
(10:13):
aside his rights and positions, just as Philippians, too, says
he made himself of no reputation. Imagine the king of
kings kneeling with a tow This moment shudders the world's
(10:34):
definition of power. Greatness in God's Kingdom looks like service,
not status. This is the most powerful being in all
the universe. This is the creator of the sun, the moon,
(10:57):
and the stars. And he humbles himself, puts on a
garment and begins to wash the disciples feet. We really
need to let that sink into our spirits. Amen. That
(11:19):
is a beautiful picture of our Lord, all right, Verse
six through nine. Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter
said to him, Lord, are you washing my feet? Jesus
(11:40):
answered and said to him what I am doing. You
do not understand now, but you will know after this.
Peter said to him, you shall never wash my feet.
Jesus answered him. If I do not wash your feet,
you have no part with me. Simon peters to him, Lord,
(12:01):
not my feet only, but also my hands in my head. Amen,
I love Peter. I can completely relate and understand him. Right. Amen.
Now Peter resists, Lord, are you washing my feet? Then
Jesus answered, if I do not wash you, you have
(12:23):
no part with me. Now Peter didn't understand yet that
this is washing. A humble act of the Lord symbolizes
spiritual cleansing, the forgiveness of sin that only Christ could provide. Now,
(12:50):
many of us resist when God tries to clean us. Man,
that is sad, but we do. We say no, Lord,
I'm fine. But real discipleship means letting him wash away
that uncleanness. We need to allow him to wash away
(13:18):
that uncleanness. And where is it a It lies in
our hearts. We're talking about pride. God hates pride. Probably
tells God that we don't need him, that we can
do this on our own independently, which is tragic. We
can't the hurt that we hold on to, the fear
(13:41):
that so clings to us sin. Jesus wants access to
every part of your heart and what God has been
training me to do. It's funny how we can know
the word, but we don't really train ourselves up in it. Right,
Bob says, Bodily exercise profits a little, but godly exercise
(14:03):
profits much. And the chaining I've been undergoing is casting
down imaginations and taking my thoughts captive. You know, the
battlefield is in the mind. We got to think about
what we think about it. If we're thinking about negative things,
if we're constantly focusing on the wrong things, then that's
(14:26):
what we're gonna reap in our lives. We're gonna have
desires for those wrong things, and then we're gonna act
it out, and then we're gonna suffer the consequences. But
if we cast down imaginations, we train our minds to
think godly thoughts, to dwell on the things of the spirit,
dwell on God's word and obeying God's word, and then
(14:49):
we'll find ourselves making it into the kingdom and living
a life of obedience. Amen, allow the Lord to wash
you and to cleanse you in every single area, Allelujah.
Verse ten, Jesus said to him, he who is they
(15:13):
needs only to wash his feet, but you. But it's
completely clean, and you are clean. But not all of you.
For I knew, for I know who would betray me. Therefore,
he said, you are not all clean. Amen. Now, once
(15:40):
we're saved, we are cleansed, but we still walk through
a dirty world. You still need daily washing through the
washing of the word and repentance. Man, hallelujah, Verse twelve
(16:05):
and fifteen. So when he had washed their feet, taking
his garments, and sat down again, he said to them,
do you know what I have done to you? You
call me teacher and lord, and you say, well, for
(16:29):
so am I or so I am if I, then
your lord and teacher have washed your feet, you also
ought to wash one another's feet. Hallelujah. That's the lesson
there that we need to take away today. For I
have given you an example that you should do as
(16:51):
I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you,
a servant is not greater than his master, nor is
he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
If you know these things, blessed are you if you
(17:12):
do them? I love how he said that. He said,
if you know these things, blessed are you who do them?
Is not just enough. It's not good enough just to know.
We gotta know and do. There's a difference there. Amen,
that just dropped in my spirit. Now, Jesus established the
(17:39):
example of humble service. It's not a ritual but a lifestyle.
Leadership means going low so others can rise higher. Amen,
that should be a T shirt. We should take note
of that. Write that down somewhere. Leadership means going low
(18:00):
so others can rise higher. And man, I'm going to
post this to my social media. Now, servinghood is not
optional for the believers, is not. We must model Jesus
in our homes, our churches, and in our communities, serving
(18:27):
out of love, not out of obligation. We do a
lot here with His High Nation as a nonprofit, as
an organization, we do a lot in the community. There's
a lot of work, but it doesn't feel like work
because it's a passionate love. I've put on a lot
(18:48):
of shows over the years, and I can put on
shows until I'm out of here, like it's a passion
the service I do for the Lord to reach the
lost Amen, Verse sixteen and seventeen. Most as surely I
(19:13):
say to you, a servant is not greater than his master,
nor is he who is sent greater than he who
sent him. If you know these things blessed are you
who do them? Amen. The blessing is not just in knowing,
but doing. Like I said a minute ago, Now when
(19:35):
we walk in humility, joy will follow. There's peace in
living like Jesus. There is so much peace, and there
is so much love. Amen. Hallelujah. Let's go to verse
eighteen and twenty. They were going to stop at twenty today.
(19:58):
So I do not speak concerning all of you. I
know whom I have chosen, but that the scripture may
be fulfilled. He who eats bread with me has lifted
up his heel against me. Now I tell you before
(20:18):
it comes, that when it does come to pass, you
may believe that I am he most assuredly, I say
to you, he who receives whomever I sin receives me,
and he who receives me receives him who has sent me. Amen.
(20:43):
Or let's break this down. Jesus reveals that Judas will
betray him. Right, even as the betrayal looms, Jesus remains
full love, demonstrating grace in the face of treachery. When
(21:14):
people betray you, remember this, Jesus still loves you, He
still served. Don't let betrayal and make you bitter, Let
(21:34):
it deepen your love for God. Jesus himself, he said
he knew who it was who was going to betray him.
And imagine this, even though he knew, he still washed
his feet. Now, how many of you would have washed
(21:57):
everybody else's feet instead of his. And not only did
he do that, he gave him bread. He fed him
when the Bible tells us to feed our enemy. Man,
that's amazing. And I know that a lot of people,
(22:20):
a lot of preachers said that everybody's going to have
a judas in their life. Right, everybody's going to have
a judas. Somebody's going to betray us, somebody is going
to hurt us. Our position is going to come. It's
not if it comes, but when it comes. Are you prepared?
(22:40):
Have you been praying enough? Have you been in God's
presence enough to be able to react according to the
spirit and not according to the flesh. You know, we
have four children in our household, and at times, you know,
there's a little bit of civil rival that happens. Then
(23:03):
the other day two of them were going at it,
but one child was getting more aggressive than any other one.
Then I had to shut it down. I had to
step in, and she's asked, well, how come I do
exactly what mom does? Everybody comes from me when they're
the ones who starts it, And I'm like, well, you're
the one who's getting more aggressive. You know you're taking
(23:27):
it to the next level. So I had to shut
you down. And imagine Jesus didn't even do that. He
didn't go after him. He still loved on him, and
who knows. I've heard some people say that he was
even trying to reach his heart. But don't let betrayal
(23:53):
stop you from fulfilling the call of God in your life.
Allow it to draw you closer to God. Amen, hallelujah.
Get a big music breakdown my famous.

You are listening to the Light Lost Vegas. This is
his hop radio show.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
All right, all right, we're back, y'all. That was Miles
Minico one in uh e g R. Shout out to
her brother E g R. He's been out to club
his hop when we had the building back in the day.
I love to see he's still in the game and
(28:02):
making moves. Amen. The song is why would I stress?
Come on exactly? We got God on our side. Amen.
All right up next our accountability partners segments. Accountability Partner
(28:23):
is here where we say that you know what this
is like a small group on the radio station on
the app. Now go to the top level menu and
hit that drop down and look for podcasts and look
for the His Hot Radio podcast and go to the
accountability Partner form and fill it out or at least
(28:45):
do a self check. Right, do this as many times
as you need to to kind of help you with
your daily disciplines that kind of help you with your
walk with the Lord. And if you want someone from
our team to reach out and pray with you, just
fill out that form. And some things we need help
with to get over in life. Some things we need
(29:08):
agreement in prayer. Some things are too tough, too hard
for us, and so we're supposed to be able to
back each other up. That's one of the purpose of
purposes of your local church in allowing your pastor to
pour into you, right, we all need to have a mentor,
someone important in us, and then we need to have
(29:29):
a mentee. Once God is poured into you and you've
got some victories, and then you're able to pour into
someone else. But make sure you're good first, because you
don't want to fall, and you got people underneath you
that will affect them as well, because you could as
well turn people away from God as well as trying
(29:54):
to bring people to God by our lifestyle. So make
sure we don't jump out there to Earth. Let us
get our footing together. Let somebody pour into your life,
and then you go im poortant to somebody else's. Amen,
when you've been trained up. Now here's a challenge here
(30:18):
for your accountability partner and get with them and just
talk to him and ask or actually this is on
action this time. You know, serve someone this week, somebody
who cannot pay you back. Right, wash a foot metaphorically.
We don't have to literally wash feet, but you know
what I'm saying, you know, help encourage or forgive someone
(30:39):
this week. Now, if you want to be great in
the kingdom, Jesus says that we must be the servant
of all. Amen, hallelujah. Also, we want to let you
know that his Hot Radio is a monitored and a
reported radio state. If you'll like your song your project
(31:03):
to go up in the charts, go ahead and run
one of our promos. We port to multiple charts. And
also the app itself has a chart on it. It
helps with exposure and it helps get the gospel. It's
a great witness for Christian artists to take over the charts. Amen.
(31:27):
So all you have to do is go to the
website hisshot Nation dot com and go to submissions, give
us all the info of your music and consider purchasing
one of our promo packages. Very affordable and we are
here to serve Amen. Now it's time for trivia. We
(31:53):
like to get you engaged, right, We like to get
your brain working. The question is in chapter or thirteen,
what object did Jesus used to wipe the disciples feet?
What object? We went over this be? You know right,
Well we didn't go over this, but I read this
(32:16):
a couple of minutes ago, and so I'm going to
post this in the live chat the question, and there's
a multiple choice as well. Man post the choices there.
(32:36):
You can either just type the letter or you can
type the actual answer. Either way it will work. But
what item was it his hands? Was it his robe?
Was it a towel? Or was it a cloth napkin?
(33:03):
All right? All right, that's but not least or actually
not last. Second to last community shout out. We want
to announce it if you have an event or something
going on. We want to make his Hot Radio a
(33:25):
part of what's going on in the community. So if
you have a concert event, if you're feeding the homeless,
you have a clothing ministry, you're doing things out there,
let us know and we will announce it right here
only his hot radio show. And also we want you
(33:46):
to go to the website his high nation dot com
and submit your announcement. Just click on the podcast page.
You can see right there where you can submit your
announcement and we can let you know. And we got
a couple announcements just to let you know. We just
launched our Giving Tuesday event, our campaign. This is the
(34:07):
first year that we are participating with Giving Tuesday. So
we just go to our website. We want to check
that out his hot nation dot com. You know, hover
over their donations tab and Giving Tuesday will drop down
so you can read it. Check it out, share it
(34:29):
with your friends, your families, your coworker. If you don't
know what Giving Tuesday is about. Is one of the
biggest days for nonprofit organizations to receive support and donations.
We're gonna send it out to our people. We're gonna
send it out and launch it out to our networks.
If you see the link, if you'd like to share it,
(34:52):
please share it with family members and friends. Our goal
is to raise ten thousand dollars to hopefully help us
search for a new building just to help us get
up and going up and started to start moving or
at least office space or something so that we can
(35:12):
get momentum going again in the community. So once again,
that is his hot nation dot com and check out
our Giving Tuesday campaign. Another one now, last, but not least,
we want to highlight our nonprofit organization his hot nation
(35:35):
dot com. Also his hot nation dot org dot org
is more so our programs of the nonprofit. We have
a clock that my wife and sister Quincy have worked
so hard in putting together our programs that we've put
(35:59):
together for our people. Check that out. We also go
to the juvenile detention centers, we mentor we preach, We
hold Bible studies in the community. We are out there.
You know. We're trying to bring everyone to an intimate
(36:22):
relationship with Christ. Right, That's what it's all about. If
you'd like to sew, if you'd like to help us
relaunch or we open the club, you can do so
on our website hits hot nation dot com and hit
that donations tab, or you can participate in our Giving
Tuesday campaign. Man. With that being said, this is my time,
(36:46):
it's time to close it on out. This podcast is
entitled The Servant King Hallelujah. Let's remember Jesus didn't just
pre love, she demonstrated it through service. Love is an
(37:06):
action word. Until next time, this is your brother, Mister
his Hop, encouraging you to walk in humility, shine your
light and stay Kingdom connected. Downloaded his Hot radio app
on all platforms. Visit our website, his hownation dot com
(37:27):
or dot org, and also hit me up on social media.
