Speaker 2 (00:14):
High Lost, the Vegas Grace and Pea's family.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Hey, we just wrapped up Acts chapter three, so the
next episode is chapter four, of course, where Peter preached
repentance and declared that Jesus came to bless us by
turning us away from a right Nickie's hallelujah. Now we
(00:57):
step into Acts chapter four, where the same bold preaching
runs into opposition. Now let's pay great attention to this,
because opposition is just a part of the deal. Right.
When God moves, the enemy pushes back, but the apostles,
(01:20):
they stand firm and their boldness becomes the blueprint for
us today. Now, before we dive in, I want to
invite everyone to meet us every day at eleven am
Pacific Standard time in our live chat. All you have
to do is download the appshop His Hop Radio on
(01:45):
all platforms and once you download it, hit that top
left menu and once it drops down, click that live
chat and they click register. All you need is a username,
email address, and password and you are a part of
(02:09):
the family. Once you do that, and once you log in,
go ahead and say what's up, Give us a shout out,
and we'll give you a shout out right back. We've
had some people join sign up and also go to
the website hisshot nation dot com and look for news
(02:31):
hover over that. If they click the drop down, you
will also get access to the live chat that way.
And if you want to actually we want you to
upload a pick and set up your profile, You'll need
to go to the website to upload that pick in
that profile. I don't know what happened. We used to
(02:54):
be able to do it on the app, but something
shift on there and so now you need a web
brand to upload your pick. So if you want to
upload it, if you want to change it, make some adjustments,
you gotta do that on the website. All right. With
that being said, let's go before the Father in prayer.
(03:17):
Heavenly Father, we thank you, Father God, for another day.
We ask Father God, that you will open up your word,
open up revelation, open up understanding, Father God, so that
we can get into your word today, Lord, so that
your word can nourish our souls. We cast down imaginations,
We cash down, Father God, Oh Lord, we take every
(03:40):
thought captive, O God, We ask O God, bless the
listener today. Father God, may your spirit and Grace follow
this podcast, father, and we asked this in Jesus' name.
Hey man, all right, Sola's jump into it. Asks chapter
to four. We're gonna go from first one to twelve.
(04:04):
We're just gonna cover a small portion of it coming
at you from the new King James. So verse one says,
priest and the captain of the temple guard and the
Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were
(04:27):
preaching to the people. Now let's remember that they just
healed a blind man, I mean, I'm sorry, a lean man.
He was leaping and dancing in the temple. So in
three thousand people just got saved, and so there's a
big ruckus. There's a huge wave of revival, and so
(04:51):
it caught the tension of the Sadducees and everyone going on.
They know that they just crucified Jesus, so they thought
that this was the end of it. But they just
don't know they just lit a fire. So they are upset.
No that the Sadducees denied the resurrection. So Peter's sermon
(05:17):
in Acts three directly challenged their theology. Now they're wearn't
just annoyed at the crowd. They were threatened. At this point.
Whenever you preach resurrection power, dead religion gets nervous. Let
me say that again. Whenever we teach and preach resurrection power,
(05:44):
dead religion, the occults all false doctor and teaching gets nervous.
They start shaking in their boots. Amen. Right, let's jump
to verse two. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles
(06:06):
were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of
the dead. Hallelujah. Let's go Peter do the thing now.
Religious leaders, they were disturbed not because of the healing,
(06:29):
but they were disturbed because of the resurrection power. You see,
the world can tolerate kindness and charity, even miracles, but
when you preach Jesus resurrected, that's when conflict starts. That's
(06:50):
when the gloves come off. Every time we can we
know this as Christians. When we say the name of Jesus,
especially in a public area, it just shifts the atmosphere.
Things change, you can see, like people just start to manifest. Right,
(07:13):
So they seize Peter and John, and because it was evening,
they put them in jail until the next day. Now,
this is the first record of arrest of Christians, of
(07:33):
our brothers and sisters, the first record of it. Yet
there's no fear, only faith. If you didn't know, the
church grows under persecution. Persecution will not be a bad
thing necessarily for the church, because that's when we chop
(07:55):
off the fat. That's where we can lean. The church
gets in shape, and the church grows. God doesn't always
stop the storm. Sometimes he strengthens you to stand in
the midst of the storm. Amen. Verse four. But many
(08:24):
who heard the message believed. So the number of men
who believe grew to about five thousand. Now remember on
the dead Pentecost, it was three thousand people. And so
the church is just growing and growing. Now we're at
(08:48):
five thousand people. I would say that is a successful ministry.
Persecution just could not stop it. It couldn't stay the gospel. Instead,
it multiplied it. They're arrested in jail, and now they
added more people to the church. Amen. The word of
(09:12):
God is unstoppable. Let me say this again, the word
of God is unstoppable. They may want to watch you,
they may want to put tabs on you, they may
want to do a lot of things, and they think
that they could stop us, but they cannot stop the
(09:35):
word of God. Even when they were locked up, the
message still roam's free. Amen. I love it. Five and six.
And next day the rulers, the elders, and the teachers
(09:55):
of the law met in Jerusalem, and it's the High
Priest was there and so were Uh like he was
a chiapis, John, Alexander and others of the high priests family.
(10:20):
This is the same group that condemned Jesus, the same
group of people now they're facing his disciples. But something
had changed. The same forces that intimidated them before can't
(10:44):
move them now, cannot move them at all. This is
the power of the Holy Spirit. It transforms fear into fire. Amen.
That is a good prayer to add to your prayerless,
Oh Lord, I pray Father God for the transforming work
(11:07):
of the Holy Spirit to change my fear into fire. Amen. Hallelujah.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
It looks like you lost another one.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Verse seven. They had Peter and John brought before them
and began to question them, by what power of what
name do you do this? Now? That is a great question.
This question opens the door for Peter to preach again.
(11:50):
They didn't even know what they were asking, right, they
didn't realize they were setting up their own conviction. Every
attack can be come an opportunity to testify. Hallelujah. That
Peter filled with the Holy Spirit said to them, rulers
(12:11):
and elders of the people. I don't know if you
haven't noticed. I'm actually somehow my page went to the NIV,
but I favored the New King James. But I'm gonna
(12:32):
go ahead and roll with it today. But yeah, I'm
reading the NIV by accident. But I believe we're still
getting the message out of this chapter. Okay, So the
key is filled with the spirit. The boldness isn't natural,
(12:52):
it's supernatural.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Right.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
The boldness won't from personality, it comes from the presence
of God, because it says in verse eight. Then Peter,
filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them. He started
to speak to them, rulers, elders and the people, if
you are being if we are being called to account
(13:21):
today for an act of kindness shown to a man
who was lame, and are being asked how he was healed.
So he begins to address them, right, and they want
to know how this man was healed by the act
of kindness, To know this, you and all the people
(13:48):
of Israel. It is by the name of Jesus Christ
of Nazareth. Hallelujah, the name of all aims, the name
of Jesus Christ of Masters, whom you crucified, of whom
God raised from the dead. That is that this man
(14:13):
stands before you healed. Jesus is the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the chief corner stone. Salvation is found
in no one else, for there is no other name
under heaven given to mankind, but which we must be saved. Hallelujah.
(14:43):
Now this is very important, So let's go to the
breakdown right now. Peter again confronts their guilt, but offers
the truth and power. Right, you got to say, speak truth.
You gotta start with the truth that there's gonna be
(15:05):
healing and restoration at all. Then he lifts Jesus high.
Peter doesn't back down at all. He doesn't water down
the message, He does not tone it down to spoken
(15:28):
in love, still must be truth. Let me say that again,
truth spoken in love, it still must be the truth.
And then Peter goes and he quotes Psalms when eighteen,
(15:51):
a prophetic warning that they should Understandjesus isn't a building
block in our life. He is the cornerstone. Everything stands
and falls based on him. He is the foundation, basically. Now,
(16:21):
one of the strongest statements in scripture on the exclusivity
of Christ. Nor is there salvation in any other For
there is no other name under Heaven given amongst men
by which we must be saved. Now, this is one
(16:47):
of the verses that get a lot of Christians in trouble,
but we got to stand on it. The other one
is that Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes unto the Father except through him. They
think that we are close minded and narrow, that we
(17:08):
don't accept their religion, their doctrine, their way of life.
This is why belove it. Salvation is not found in
good works. There's no such thing as a good person
in heaven, for we have all fallen short of the
glory of God. We are all sinners. It is not
(17:29):
found in religion. So keeping you rituals and sacraments and
rules and regulations will not make you right before God,
nor by moral efforts or positive energy will not save
your soul or even self improvement. Even if you do
(17:53):
change your life and improve yourself. You can do that.
If you have enough willpower and discipline, you can accomplish
a lot of things. But salvation is spiritual. There is
one name, Jesus. Salvation is a relationship with the resurrected Christ.
(18:21):
That's why Jesus says to a lot of those who
have done great works, I never knew you. Do you
know Jesus? Do you spend time talking to him? Do
you know? And can you feel his presence? Have you
invited him in to your heart and knows that he
(18:46):
lives inside of you. That's the only way you can
get assurance of your salvation. Amen, we'll be right back.
Speaker 4 (19:04):

Speaker 1 (21:25):
M hm alright, alright, we are back. That is uh mon,
(21:50):
cafe you with respect right here. This is His Hot
Radio and the His Hot Radio podcast. I'm your brother,
I'm your host, mister hits Hot. It's eleven o'clock. We're
doing the thing. We appreciate everyone. They're jumping aboard, they're
(22:12):
spending time with us right here on the station. And
if you are on the podcast platform, thank you for
listening to the replay. Now it's time for the accountability Partner.
It was placed on my heart to do the segment
because I go to church. I've been going to church
(22:34):
for a long time. You know, I've been saved for
a while. I've been around for a while, and I
noticed that there's a lot of people who go to church,
but they just do not have a relationship with Christ.
(22:54):
And what I mean by that is they still struggle
with the same sin. And there's a difference between struggling
with something and getting the victory over it eventually or
just staying in the same cycle and excusing it. Now
you're not even fighting against sin, you're just giving into it,
and you just want to be accepted that, Hey, this
(23:17):
is my lifestyle, this is what I do, this is
a part of whatever. Those Christians are not going to
make it. According to the Word, right, you always got
to be confronting ourselves. We always got to be repenting
and being challenged. You need to be around people that
will challenge you to get better in your walk with God.
(23:39):
You need someone to get in your face and say, look,
this is what the scripture says, repent, turn ye, turn ye.
Why would you perish? Amen? And back it up with
the word of God. Just as our apostles are showing,
just as we are reading in the Book of Acts,
they are speaking truth if speaking love. But youth can
(24:04):
never be compromised. Amen, Truth can never be compromised. And
so that's one of the reasons why we added this,
and so if you want to go further in this segment,
(24:24):
go to the top left menu, click on the drop down,
go to podcasts, go to the hits Hot Radio podcast,
and then go go down where you see Accountability Partner.
There's questions that you can go through. It's a checklist
to see how you are doing spiritually and then fill
out the form so that you can get a follow up.
(24:47):
We also do a call after each podcast and we
just talk with each other, pray with each other, hold
each other accountable. Right, Amen. It's an essential part of
our walk because there's power in agreement, in unity. When
we saw this all through the Book of Acts, so
let's we're not just supposed to read it as a
(25:08):
good story. We're supposed to apply this in our lives. Amen.
So that being said is posted in the Life Chat
the Accountability Partner. We also have challenges we throughout daily.
So the challenge today is are you bold enough to
speak truth even when it's unpopular, even when you know
(25:32):
you might upset someone? Right? Because this is spiritual battle,
a spiritual war. You are exposing the darkness because the
Bible called us to be light. Boldness grows with consistency,
we got to speak it consistently. We got to consistently
(25:52):
know the where to God, know who we serve, and
we got to ask and pray for the courage to
do so. And add this to your prayer list. Ask
for courage, ask for strength. You need Guy's help in
all of this. As matter of fact, we cannot do
this without our heavenly Father. Amen.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
All right.
Speaker 1 (26:19):

If you want to submit your music, go to his
High Nation dot com and hit that submissions tab and
we got you. Trivia time. It's time for the trivia
question for today, and the question is what group denied
(27:24):
the resurrection and oppressed Peter's preaching. Let me say that again,
what group denied the resurrection and oppressed Peter's preaching. If
you've been paying attention to the podcast, you should get
(27:44):
it right away first to post this in the life
chat Wins for today. All right, all right, now it's
time for our community shout outs what's going on in
(28:04):
the community. This is also where we give our updates
for our up and coming event. We have an event
that is gonna go down on December the twentieth. It
is our annual Toys for Tots or you can say
Christ's Muss event where we bless the community for toys
(28:29):

about the event. So stay tuned, stay connected as we

we want to spotlight our nonprofit organization is how Nation
is a non profit organization five oh one seed three.
(29:40):
We minister at the youth juvenile detention centers, those who
are incarcerated shut in. We go out, you know, we
just go out and hit the streets. If you need
some food assistance, we do pick up McDonald's food and
we pick up their breakfasts and stuff like that, nuggets,
(30:05):
things like that. We can, you know, bless your family.
We give some to the Victory Outreach and Men's Group.
We also give some to our church fresh When Community Church.
So let us know in a life chat if you're
in Vegas, if you alike for us to drop off
(30:26):
some of this fruit. It comes frozen. We need places
to give this stuff. We don't want to throw it
away or we don't want to just stop picking up.
So please let us know in the life chat if
you could use some of this food. Amen. All right,
(30:51):
I've got some closing comments here now. When the Apostles,
when they faced pressure, they did not retreat at all.
As a matter of fact, they advanced. That's a heartbeat
of his Hot Nation, reaching the youth, hosting events, ministering,
(31:15):
and pushing the gospel forward. No matter what, persecution does
not stop. Purpose Amen as for strength, as for God
to just bathe you and hide you in the Holy Spirit.
(31:38):
And I believe that persecution is just ramping up in
our country. America has not seen yet what the rest
of the world has seen. But don't shrink back, don't
be afraid. We need to thrive in this Samen Hallelujah.
(32:02):
