here to help us. And so now we are going
to jump into the Book of John and we're here
on chapter three. This is our verse by verse study
(03:31):
they take an in depth look into the Word of God.
So chapter three and we're gonna go from verse one
to twenty one, and I like to come at you
from the new King James version. Now, this is one
of the most critical chapters in the entire Bible. John
chapter three. You get the famous verse, So God loves
(03:53):
the world that he gave his only begotten son. Therefore
whosoever so that whosoever shall believe it in him shall
not perish, but have everlasting life. John three sixteen is
a very powerful scripture to memorize. And we're gonna talk
(04:14):
about the new birth in this chapter. We're gonna talk
about eternal life, the issues of eternal life. So make
sure you tune in right and get the answers to
that in the love of God that changed history forever.
(04:35):
So it's gonna be a very rich chapter today, a
great great episode. To make sure you tune in, remove
all distractions, and let's go all in. Let's pray Heavenly Father,
we thank you once again for the time that we have,
Lord to get it right, for the time that we
have to know you, the time that we have to
(04:56):
walk with you. Well, ask Father God, that you will
bless this, that you will bless this episode. Oh God,
bless the hearers. Oh God, everyone under the sound of
my voice got release a blessing. O God, release eternal life.
Oh God, Let the destiny of their lives be changed
and transformed. Oh God, And remove all hindrances, distractions and
(05:18):
delays to this podcast. Oh God. And we asked this
in Jesus' name. Amen and Amen. All right, let's get
into it. So let's read John chapter three, verse one
and two. Now, I would say that the last chapter
(05:45):
we've talked about the wedding, the water that was turned
into wine. Jesus is finally making himself public, but there's
always two kingdoms that are in competition with each other.
The Kingdom of God finally started moving through the life
of Christ. His time has come right to go public.
(06:08):
But now we see immediately opposition to the work and
move of God. So don't be defeated, don't get discouraged.
Situations may come up, but God is always victorious a man,
so we see chapter three there was a man of
(06:32):
the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This
man came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi,
we know that you are a teacher, come from God.
No one can do these signs that you do unless
(06:54):
God is with him. A man that is a powerful
That was a powerful introduction, a powerful statement that Nicodemus
made part of the Pharisees. He was part of the Sanhedrin.
Now he was one of the most powerful religious leaders
(07:16):
in Israel. Then he came to Jesus by night. Now
shows both his curiosity but also his fear of public opinion.
Now Nicodemus acknowledges Jesus, he acknowledges his divine authority. He says,
(07:40):
God must be with you, right, but he comes at night.
How many of us want to follow Jesus in secret? Right?
That something could not keep him away. Something drew him
to Jesus. But he was being very cautious and careful
(08:05):
of that. But you know, we don't want the crowd
to know, but deep inside we know he is the truth.
This is where many of us begin quietly seeking Jesus.
And you know what, as long as you're seeking right,
(08:30):
that may be a good start for some of us.
But as long as you're seeking, just don't stay there.
Just don't stay in a place where you think you
have to keep this secret and earn the down low. Right,
we got to be bold about it. But let's look
look at this chapter on fold as we go to three.
(08:54):
Jesus answered and said to him most assuredly, I say
to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see
the Kingdom of God. Now, this is a critical passage
of scripture. Now, this is the heart of Christianity right here.
(09:21):
This is the very heart of it. It's not religion,
it's not rituals, but a spiritual rebirth. Jesus didn't say
try harder, you know, make more of an effort, right,
(09:43):
you know, strap up your bootstraps or whatever. He didn't say,
keep the law better, right, try harder, keep the law,
do better and keeping the law. He said, you must
be born again. This is radical. This blue. We're gonna
(10:05):
see his reaction, nikodemons, his reaction. This blue is mine.
It means what you've been doing in the flesh is
not enough. And beloved, if you don't hear anything else
on this podcast, say here this part. Everything that we've
been doing, according to our own flesh, it is not enough.
(10:30):
You need a new birth from above. You need to
be born again. Now, sometimes we use this term. I
use it to distinguish myself from different religions and even
different other Christian denominations, right, like, this is the heart
(10:54):
of the matter. At Sometimes I get into debates with
Joe of his witnesses or even Mormons, and then they
call me the born again and they the born Agains
are known for being stubborn, you know, born Agains are known.
You know, out of all the religions out there, if
you want to call us that, the born Agains are
(11:17):
probably the most hated. We're the ones who say that
Jesus is the way, truth and life. No one comes
to the Father but through him, you know. They say
that we're narrow minded, right, But we're the one we're
getting This is where we get it from. We're getting
it straight out of the Bible. We're getting straight from
(11:37):
the words of Jesus Christ himself. And that's what it's
That's what it's all about. That's that's where it's at.
You know, have you been born again? Has God changed
your heart and mind? Are you living different? Do you
have the power now to obey Christ? Are you still
bound up in your sin. This is something that we
(12:02):
can't play with. We need to make sure that we
are born again, born of the spirit. And so let's
see Nicodemus's reaction to this. Nicodmus said to him, how
(12:24):
can a man be born when he is old? Can
he enter a second time into his mother's womb and
be born? Now this is a question right because he
was blown away. But Jesus explains the difference between born
(12:49):
of the flesh and born of the spirit. Flesh gives
birth to flesh, natural life, Spirit gives birth to spirit,
eternal life. The wind analogy shows the spirit's mysterious but
undeniably work right the wind. The wind, we can't see it,
(13:16):
but we can see the effects of it. Now, nico
Demons thought Jesus was talking about crawling back into his
mom's womb, you know what I mean. But Jesus said,
speaking on a whole another level. Jesus was on a
whole nother level when he was talking to him. He
(13:37):
was talking about Spirit transforms us. The Spirit transforms us
in ways we can't always explain, but we can see
the results, like wind moving through the trees. Can you
see the results of the spirit working in your life?
(14:01):
Things that you used to do, you don't do no more.
Even areas where you used to struggle. He seemed to
fall off of our lives. That is the power of
the spirit working in us. Amen, hallelujah. All right, let's
(14:23):
go to verse nine, and we're gonna take it all
the way to fifteen. Nikademon's answered and said to him,
how can this be? Now? He was confused, and he
was really trying to understand. Now, Jesus answered and said
to him, are you the teacher of Israel? And do
(14:47):
not know these things? Wow? That's powerful. Most assuredly, I
say to you, we speak what we know, and testify
what we've seen, and you do you do not receive
our witness. If I've told you earthly things and you
do not believe, how will you believe if I tell
(15:09):
you heavenly things. No one has ascended to heaven but
he who came down from heaven, that is the Son
of Man, who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted
up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in
(15:31):
him not perish but have eternal life. All right, let's
start right there. And let's break this down. Now, Niko
deep he struggles. Jesus points back to Moses lifting up
the serpent in the wilderness. Now that was a foreshadowing
(15:51):
of the crucifixion of Christ. Now, the serpent lifted up
was a symbol of sin that was judged. Brass is
always a metal of judgment in the Bible, and the
serpent is always representative of satan and sin. Now, those
(16:14):
who look upon it lived. If you remember the story,
if you were bit by a snake, but you looked
upon this brass pole with the serpent on it, you
would be healed. And this is what the ambulance have.
They have this picture of this on ambulance and stuff
(16:34):
like that in the medical field. But likewise, whoever believes
in Jesus, when Jesus and Jesus lifted up on the cross,
would be healed as well. They will have eternal life. Now,
look and live, right, Look and live. That's a T shirt.
(16:55):
The people don't have to work, crawl, or we don't
have to even prove ourselves. Just look in faith, same
with Jesus. Believe and eternal life begins. All we have
(17:16):
to do is look. All we have to do is believe.
Look on the cross, and this is where eternal life begins.
Because now our sin has been judged. All right, let's
go verse sixteen through eighteen.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
It looks like you lost another one.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
And this is a very famous verse right here, John
three sixteen. For God so love the world that he
gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him
shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did
not send his son into the world to condemn the world,
(18:00):
but that the world through him might be saved. He
who believes in him is not condemned. But he who
does not believe is condemned already because he has not
believed in the name of the only begotten Son. Now
(18:20):
this is deep. Let's break it down. For God so
love the world that he gave his only begotten son,
that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have
everlasting life. This is the gospel. In one verse. God's
(18:40):
motivation love, God's gift, his son, God's offer eternal life,
God's requirement.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Believe.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Now this is the verse you see at football games, right,
But don't let it lose its power. God love the world,
not just Israel, not just the rich, not just the perfect,
but all of us, that includes you, and that includes me.
(19:15):
Eternal life is available only by faith. The only requirement
is to believe. Have you believed in the only Begotten
Son and man? All right? Let's sayd Verse nineteen through
(19:39):
twenty one, And it says he who believes in him
shall not perish. But he does not believe is condemned
already because he has not believed in the name of
the only Begotten Son of God. And this is the
(19:59):
kind of nation. That the light has come into the world.
And men love darkness rather than light because their deeds
were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and
does not come to the light lest his deeds should
(20:20):
be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to
the light that his deeds may be clearly seen that
they have been done in God. Amen. Now, Jesus explains
(20:41):
that some reject him because they love darkness more than light.
Now the choice is clear, light or darkness. There are
only two kingdoms in this entire universe. That's one of
the things that I like about the Star Wars franchise.
(21:01):
They make it clear you're either on the light side
or you're on the dark side. Either you are a
Jedi knight or you are a Sith. And we can
say that today, either we are a believer or a
non believer, our deeds reveal where our hearts really are. See,
(21:27):
we can say and talk a good game, but what
we do and our deeds will expose the truth of
where we're really at and what side we on. If
you're on the light side or you're on the dark side,
(21:48):
that's a time right there for some self reflection, like
where are my deeds? This where this is where accountability
comes in. This is where having an accountability partner can
really help us. Some people hide from the light because
(22:10):
they don't want to give up sin. They don't want
to give it up, so they hide from it. But
those who step into the light, they show their life
is built on God. Let me say that again, those
who hide from the light. If we have secret deeds,
(22:31):
secret sins, if there's something that we're hiding, see, a
lot of us think we're grown and beloved it. I
ain't gonna lie, I'm gonna be transparent. I deal with this.
I don't come to the light like I should in
some areas because for me, there's been some hurt behind it.
(22:57):
You know, there's a fear that you know, I've dealt
with through the years. I've dealt with control and manipulation
from pastors and leaders and people in my life, even
people close people, you know, in close relationship to me.
(23:19):
I deal with this spirit and I'm able to recognize
it now to where when people are you know, when
people just want to control and manipulate and not really
be a friend to you. And so that's caused me
to not, you know, be honest or open about everything. Now.
(23:43):
Of course, some things should be between you and God,
but it's more specifically I'm talking about pastors. You know,
I've had bad experience with pastors, and sometimes it's a
struggle for me to be totally open and honest about
my life, you know, and God pray for me. God
is working on me because I do realize, especially reading
(24:06):
the scripture, that we need to come to the light
so that our deeds shall be seen. That we are
built in God. And that's where accountability helps. It helps
us to expose ourselves once we confess and expose things.
That's why I like to expose a lot of things
here on this podcast. The enemy loses power right, the
(24:29):
enemy loses Sin has power and secret sin wants to
keep us in the dark, but it loses power when
we bring it all to the light. You know. And
my struggles have been, you know, lately, have been more
in the financial realm. You know, there's things, you know,
(24:50):
we need to stay away from loan sharks and you know,
I need to stay away from you know, other decisions
or just you know, spending money randomly on fast food
and things like that, and really focus on what God
has purposed me to do. And so yeah, that's that's
my confession. I'm bringing my d's to the light. And
(25:19):
that's where accountability can help us. Say, man, all right,
I think it's time for a quick music break and uh,
we'll be right back.
Speaker 3 (25:44):

remain in darkness. Don't love it. We can. Our hearts
are so wicked. We can love darkness. We can love it.
Ain't that wicked like Lord, take the love of darkness
(30:43):
out of our hearts. And the name of Jesus a man.
So the question is who's checking on you now? Do
you have someone asking you how is your walk today
or how is your prayer life today? Have you been consistent? Now?
Don't walk this journey alone. See Nicodemus. He came at night, right,
(31:08):

answer those questions. But we don't need to do it
in the dark. We don't need to hide our walk

The question is for today and John three. Who did
Jesus say must be lifted up like the serpent in
the wilderness? Who did Jesus say? Let me ask it again,
who did Jesus say must be lifted up like the
(33:41):
serpent in the wilderness? Amen? All right, I'm gonna post
that and post all the options in the live chat
so you can look it up a little later. Also,
(34:06):
Community shot out time. This is where we share our
activities and our movements out in the community. And we
just did the event with the mayor, the Mayor's Faith
based Initiative out in Lorenzi Park here in Las Vegas.
(34:31):
Haven't been to that park, and wow, that park is huge.
But I noticed there's a lot of homeless people in
that park. And the park has a lot of water,
a lot of lakes and birds and stuff. And I
actually I believe I saw a family cleaning up in
that park, like taking a shower or something. There are
(34:53):
people out there who are really going through hard times,
so please please keep our families in prayer here in
Las Vegas. We know there's a trying time in our community.
So whatever people are going through, please keep them in prayer.
But at this time, I do want to say check
(35:14):
out our newsletter on the app. Go to the top
left menu and click on Alerts. Get our alerts and
you can sign up for email newsletters and also text messages.
We can send messages right to your phone. And we
do events. We do have annual events. We do toys.
(35:38):
We give away toys during Christmas time our Christmas event,
bikes and things like that, and we also give away
food and groceries there's a lot of things that we
do throughout the year, so you want to get signed
up so you can be notified of the events the
assistance that we do offer in the community. Amen and Amen.
(36:05):
And so we had a great event in the park
with the Mayor's Initiatives. Shout out to doctor Brenda who
put it together. See Me So Real from eighty eight
point one came out and we had Pastor Russ, a
couple of people sharing their testimonies about Pastor Russ talked
about domestic violence. It was pretty profound because he was
(36:30):
stabbed by his stepson like twenty something times. It's like,
by the grace of God, this man did not die.
He was able to recover and you know, you just
sharing the realities of domestic violence. He was scared in
his own home and he was actually in law enforcement
at that and so it was just amazing how you know,
(36:53):
he tells his story. And also a judge, the judge right,
missus Harris, she's a local judge out here in Las Vegas.
I've actually known her, I've watched her grow up. She
is a family friend and she wanted to turn up.
(37:13):
She said her mental health is she sees brokenness every
day as a judge, right, you imagine this stuff that
she has to deal with. She jumped on top of
the penny table. She told me to get to my
DJ set unlet's turn up. So that was like, wow,
come on, So everybody jumped in just started dancing and
(37:34):
getting it or whatever. And she says that helps her
mental health is just hey, have a good time, you know,
just turn up and just you know. So everybody has
different ways of dealing with it, but of course the
best way is in our prayer closet, you know, in
our worship to God, our relationship to Him is the
best way that I could recommend to keep your health healthy.
(38:00):
You know what I'm saying. So if you have an event,
if you have anything going on, let us know, send
us an info so we can share it right here.
A public service announcement is free to do. If you
got an outreach or an event, we want to shout
it out. And also our next event coming up is
October the fourth down at the Metals Mall. We have
(38:23):
a display in the store, the Art of Life Store.
Check out our website for more information. Our young daughter,
Aremiine Harris, is going to have her art displayed for
the whole month of October, So go down and purchase
support her vision, what she's got going. This is a
(38:44):
part of the so everyone is seen initiative. Amen. And
also we just want to say a few things about
his Hot Nation, Inc. It is a nonprofit organization. We
(39:06):
are a public charity. We are illegitimate business. We got
our business house in order. Now it's more than a station,
it's a movement. We are also in the streets, as
we just said, we're in the juvenile detention centers, where
in the community, mentoring and bringing the gospel, bringing hope
(39:29):
to the streets. Taping and if you would like to
give and support. This does not come for free. I
wish we could do all this for free. We're looking
to open up and relaunch club His Hot Las Vegas.
Reopen the club. We're looking to make the impact that
we've made before, but we do need support. Go to
(39:52):
our website. His Hot Nation dot com is tax deductible.
You can write it off if you need a tax
right off. You need it so on good ground, tell
people about us. And also if you can donate on
the app itself, just go to the top left drop
down and you can find out where we can do that.
(40:14):
Anything helps, two dollars, five dollars a month, anything help,
say man, all right, So this is our time for today,
and as we go out and just have a couple
of more things I want to say about John chapter three.
Now it teaches us that religion cannot save you. Being
(40:38):
a religious person cannot save you. Being a Republican or
democrat cannot save you. Reputation cannot save you. Rules and
regulations and being religious keeping sacraments cannot save you. Only
being born again through faith in Jesus will bring eternal life. Now,
(41:03):
if you haven't made that decision, guess what I believe
today is a good day to make that decision. Amen.
So you cannot have a topic like this without closing
it out in prayer and asking God to save us.
(41:30):
Right now, it's an opportunity to put our faith in
the Lord. For the Bible says that the son of
man has to be lifted up like the serpent in
the wilderness. This judge sin, death and hell. The price
(41:51):
has been paid for us. We would be insane not
to receive this gift of eternal life. And so it's
good be for the Lord in prayer, and please please
repeat after me. Make this your prayer to God. Say,
Heavenly Father, we come before you right now. We believe
(42:15):
that the son of Man was lifted up just as
serpent lifted up, just as Moses lifted up the serpent
in the wilderness. Thank you Jesus, that you were lifted
up for my sin. Make it personal. You judge my sin.
(42:37):
You paid the penalty for my sin. My sins have
been dealt with. I believe in your only begotten son,
that he died on the cross and he paid my penalty.
Lord Jesus, I asked that you forgive me for my sins,
(42:58):
wash me clean with your blood, and I open up
my heart and mind and my life for you to
come in and enter into be the Lord and savior
of my life. Please forgive me holy spirit. I ask
you to empower me to do the will of God
the rest of my days, to live for you and
(43:20):
to serve you. I believe in the death, burial, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ, for your word says that if
we confess the Lord, we shall be saved. And I
pray this in Jesus's name, Amen, harlelujah. The Bible says
(43:41):
that the angels rejoice at every sinner who repents. So
welcome to the family of God. And remember it's not
about us, It's about the Christ in us.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
God bless the light of Las Vegas. This is the
Hiss Hop Radio Show.
