Speaker 3 (01:02):
And the music is still playing.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Is still playing? Oh it is still playing. Darn it.
I let to turn that off. I'm in pe a
while right, Yeah, this is episode too late. The twenty
five twenty six season review. I'm your host building of course,
here with my TUCA hosts. Shortz Guy will be joining
us soon, which is why originally had four up there.
Now there's two. It's Swim and Steve.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
You can find us on well brought up a preme
time radio critisy, mister Sam Wu. I'm behind the glass
messing things up as usual. I haven't done this in
like a month or what two months probably, but anyways,
you can find us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Apple
and Google podcasts, Spotify and iHeart radio. Please us a
five star review if you'd be ever so kind. Boys, Yeah, whatever,

(01:46):
I don't just be nice. You could say Shwim sucks
or Steve's beautiful ranger. You know I have fat fingers.
I don't really care. Yeah, just a review, say that
you watch us, that'd be great, gentlemen. What are we drinking? Uh?

Speaker 3 (02:02):
In honor of our new season starting and what I'm
probably going to be having to need on a nightly
basis watching my team, I'm having Hendrix jin on the rocks.
Look at my decanter, isn't it fancy?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
It's bigger than you? Pretty good your looks sort.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Of your head is about the same size, all right.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah, it weighs more than my skull.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
I'm taking it easy for our first episode.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Thirty minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Still the less thirty minute nice, nice, easy drink.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
At thirty minute might be the best beer to have
post hockey game. I'm talking playing not.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, I guess what. Yeah, but I know you're looking
at for Yeah, I very much agree. It is a
very easy drinkable beer. It's fantastic. Well done, dogfish yep,
well done. Well I because I'm also an idiot, I
actually had a different work picked out, and then I
just picked this one in status class nice. But this
is called warbles and by blaw snort and they actually

(03:11):
put Ozzie as a bowl.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Okay, so pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
It's a I was getting the one that had that
did not have lactose, but I accidentally picked the one
that does have lactose. Yeah, this is fruit and stour
with BlackBerry and and cheesecake, So I guess there's Yeah,
it's called slaughtered uh slaughters of sound, so I guess obviously,
uh play on one of the Assie's songs, Rest his soul?

(03:41):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Also, what happens to all the fairy cows? Why that
stupid freaking lactose that they want to their beer?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
There?

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Is that melvinad is the way moved?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
You can't?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Oh, I say, what did I lose?

Speaker 3 (03:56):
You?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
There? You are?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
All right?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Well, let's what's on tap for today's episode. Here's our
weekly snapshot. I send each a view a list of questions.
We will go through that in a little bit.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
And did we read them?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
No, you guys definitely did not.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
I actually just looked at him like five minutes before
I signed on.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
And you probably have zero answers for them. So that's fine.
We could do this. We we are a competent podcast.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Full of well prepared.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Also, no, I'm prepared. I don't know about you guys,
other than the fat finger thing where I can't remember
how to work how to get this on. But yeah,
if you first time tuning in, it's usually right around
this bad. Maybe not that bad, but it's pretty bad.
But we are a very competent group of four who
loves hockey, loves alcoholic beverages, hence the hockey on tap

(04:56):
uh and we just like to sit around and talk
about our favorite sport, which is the National Hockey League. Well,
our favorite sport, which is hockey. Not fortunately's part of
the National Hockey League because they suck. But weave each
have favorite teams. I'm Ranger fan. Short Sky is the
Devil's fan. You'll see him very soon because he wears
the Devil's bullshit. Shwim obviously a big giant Tampa Bay
Lightning bolt behind him and he's licking his wounds from Shwim.

(05:19):
What was that? It was three hundred and something total
minutes of penalties between the last two games. I haven't
actually put here combined. It was there was one hundred
and eighty six penalty minutes on Thursday night and three
hundred and twelve penalty minutes Saturday, for a combined total
of four ninety eight in two preseason games between both

(05:40):
Florida teams, Tampa Bay and very absurd Florida Panthers. That
is long.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I just like it's weird. I mean I didn't watch it.
Shan watch them, you can tell us about them. But like, well,
I know I have I guess before we get into
anything as we're talking about this, I just should. I
wanted to ask you why why did any of that
happen in two preseason games.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
I could, I can tell you why.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
In the first game, in the Thursday game, everything was
fine until about seven minutes in freaking a j gear
sucker punches. I did see that face hegel and that started.
That started everything in that game. Everything was fine until
he's until he did that, and then he never came
back in that game. He's okay, thank god, but he
never came back in that game. And then everything else
spilled over until the when they played Saturday, the second game. Uh,

(06:26):
and they had a bunch of call ups and then
the stars were playing, so all these scrubs from the miners,
UH just you know, took it upon themselves, and I
would say, who's the first guy, Sabrin Saburn? Yeah, he
just went after e Plaid?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Where was Saburn? He just he just signed with Tampa,
wasn't he they just Uh?

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Was he San Jose or one of the teams out there,
maybe Seattle or one of.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
The Isn't he like a Bruiser and Forster type?

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Yeah, pretty much gets only minutes. He doesn't really do
anything else.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
This good him.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
And there were so many people thrown out of the game.
I can't even freaking remember them all. This ridiculous didn't
end until like ten thirty.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Oh, I'm back. I don't know what happened. Did we freeze?
I don't know if it was everybody.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
I think swim is talking to yourself.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Hopefully was talking to the masses. This is gonna be
a fantastic man.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
We've had just about everything go wrong so far. Let's
wait for the power outage.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Wait for my laptop to explode randomly, and Shorts.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Is coming, so his internet is gonna be even better
for hard our download and uh yeah, you guys might
just want to listen to this on audio tomorrow when
it comes out on Spotify or I heard her any
of those beautiful things, because yeah, it might not be
much better. Yeah, you're talking about Tampa. I have comment
how glorious, uh that it was. It was funny, curious

(07:58):
for the first time. Thing.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
They lost that game seven nothing, and they should have
been eight nothing, but apparently a goal was scores when
a guy. The guy was thrown out of the game
and somehow never left and stayed and contributed to the eighth.
The refs didn't tell him that he was thrown out
of it, and they realized it and they took the
goal off the board. I've never seen that happen in
my life.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Yeah, I hope that happens in real fans, in real life,
because that would be very real regular season because that
would be very funny for your team to just get,
you know, I'm very unhappy. Yeah, So obviously that you
have the battle, which is gonna be an extremely fun
thing to watch throughout the season because these two teams.

(08:39):
I don't I don't know that there's two teams in
the match.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Just like the NHL did it right and had them
playing open at night, that's what they should be doing.
They're they're never going to be so many more people
I think tuning in.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
If they did that, it might actually be It might
actually be the like you said, te and I think
this might be the biggest rivalry in hockey right now.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
It might be the biggest rivalry in all of sports.
I don't know that there's two teams in any of
the four major sports. Five major sports you want include soccer, Well, soccer,
Some of those English Premier League games can get pretty crazy,
I know, but it's got that's it's kind of that fact.
English Premier League. Yeah, it's fans too. I think the teams. Yeah,

(09:23):
maybe the teams hate each other is just as much.
I don't know. I don't watch enough. Yeah, these guys,
Tampa's like fed up and annoyed with everything. So I
think they're on a They're on a mission against Florida
this year, I hope. Yeah, the Panthers got there.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
They don't play until no Member, I think, yeah, November December.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
They're playing the stadium series.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Tampa is Florida is playing the.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Who's Tampa playing the stadium series?

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Nashville Boston? Boston? Yeah, got dumb, but yeah. NHL spended
u Saber in four games and Moser for two, the
least organization was fine hundred thousand, and Cooper was fined
twenty five. I mean it does take two to tango.
Then how does Florida get off scott free just because

(10:16):
they're Florida and they literally had there was two there
was two hits.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
The one that got most are suspended for Hagey had
a very very similar hit that he got thrown out
for and no supplemental discipline for him, not even a fine.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Feel like, I feel like two games.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
I feel like Florida and the and the The roster
that Florida has is exactly who, like George Paris would
go like party with. So probably maybe the bias, maybe
the bias lies there. I don't know. I also don't
want to get started on it's Marina Marina bedtime. I
don't only get started on the freaking player safety in

(10:55):
Georgie of Paris. Already, we haven't even started the damn
season yet.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
We haven't even we haven't even be gone, and we're
already fuming at how badly it's just it's horrible. Yeah,
So you have obviously the fun that is the Edmonton
sorry that the Florida series that's gonna be Edmonton goes

(11:19):
out and brings to McDavid a contract extension past this year,
two years, twenty five million dollars extension. Those today's news,
and it is huge for the NHL community because obviously
there are teams licking their chops to see if he
could possibly get to free agency, which you know, all honesty,
I don't think anyone really thought that he was going
to get there one hundred percent. Maybe it was ten percent,

(11:40):
fifteen percent, but you know, it does kind of make
it the off season a little less fun. You were
looking at Caprizov and McDavid and eicl is probably going
to resign somewhere soon. So there are a bunch of
teams that when you look in what's gonna happen this
next offseason, which is supposed to be a big offseason,
especially with the draft Gavin McKenna, it could have been fun,

(12:01):
and it looks like it's gonna be a little less
than that, which it would always suck. Ye if seasons.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Have been like everything, the trade deadline and the free
agent frenzy, like all of that has been so terribly neutered.
I feel like, you know, with with either, you're seeing
a lot of either sign and trades or a lot
of sign and trades or trades and then resigning before

(12:28):
free agency starts. So that kind of the free agent
frenzy kind of makes it a little bit. Whereas and
then the trades, all the big trades happened before the deadline,
so deadline day we end up seeing, you know, minimal stuff.
So more players just don't go, don't go at all
because the rumor mill is so enormously chatterboxed. Yep, but yeah,

(12:51):
I don't know, but it's still I mean, you still
see some some stuff throughout the season, in the in
the off season, but like, yeah, I didn't I didn't
expect any of these these big names to go. And
I guess this coming season, how many more seasons does
Avechkin have? Is he also a free agent?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
This season? He's got he got this season and then
he's a free agent. Yeah, he's a free agent. But
see him going anywhere anywhere but either Washa or Washington.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
That's him and him and Malkin both, So that's those
those two have some decisions to make in this offseason.
I I assume if Malkin has expressed that he does
want to play another season, but we'll see how this
season goes, and then see whether or not, you know,
Duba springs him back. I assumed that he would because

(13:37):
I don't think at this point, I don't think Malkin
is like taking up another prospects place in the lineup,
So he's not like blocking somebody from like second line center.
So I think it's it's it would be fine to
bring him back. In all honesty, you.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Don't thinks would try to trade him this year?

Speaker 3 (13:57):
No, absolutely not. None of the three are getting traded
unless they flat out tell Dubus I want to be traded.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yeah, well, I don't think he's not gonna say Crosby
Crosby watch. I told I was talking to Steven when
we were driving to the Night of Christmas Lights. By
the way, if you can go see it New York
Potanical Gardens. Uh, it's a shameless plug. Go see the.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Night sponsored by Yeah, I know.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Yeah, it's a good time. We enjoyed it. But I
was when we were driving to there, I was talking
about how I guess Montreal fans have entered their name
in as a team to watch for Crosby. It was
based between them and Colorado, and I was like, I'm
pretty sure that's not happening. Colorado is about the like
a point zero zero one percent chance, and that's the

(14:46):
only team I can say just because McKinnon and they
are very good top friends. So maybe you know, if
he does really want a Cup Chase, that would be
the team to go to. But it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
So he's not getting not getting traded.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
On Tuesday last week, you had a big signing Caroll Caprizov.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Eight years, seventeen million.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yes, seventeen million dollars per year. I just hear that
Shwim's breathing into the mic and then shorts guy's back died.
We are just falling all out all over the place here.
So he is going to be in Minnesota a long time.
And yeah, caple cool. And this sucked for the rest
of the league because I do think that the Rangers

(15:34):
were looking at someone like him, especially for the Paneren role.
There's a bunch of other teams that you know had
interested in him, and the Russian factor in New York.
You were hoping that this could lead to good things,
but that will obviously not happen. And it's a good
signing for for Minnesota. They get their guy. They would
have had to pay just as much for anybody else,

(15:55):
so you try to keep him in house in the
rising cap. Hopefully he's not a huge albatross at the
end of the contract, but it's still it's a good
work of business for Dougie Gilmore and uh yeah, I
mean do you guys think that? Uh yeah, Bill Garran, Sorry,
think Dougy Gillmore, Bill Garon. They also resign. Shit, they

(16:16):
just resigned. Uh Gustofson two five years, six point million
per very good goaltender in his own right, probably top
ten ish around there. Uh. And they're gonna look to
be contenders. Matt Boldie and Marco Rossi and you got
Faber and zeev Bium who's looked awesome. I think this
team's could be a playoff team. They were a playoff

(16:38):
team last year, but I think this team could be
more of a contender than they have been in previous seasons.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
I mean, Kapritzov needs to be healthy, right, He like
misses half the season pretty routinely at this point. But no,
they have they have a good cast. It's like, it's
weird when you think about Minnesota because you don't I
think you're average hockey fan doesn't think much of the roster,
and then when you're like, oh, they have Caprisov, but
they don't have anybody else, And then you start to think,
you're like, oh, wait, they have you know, Matthew Boldi

(17:06):
is there, and Rock Faber is there and ze Bum
is there, and so they have a solid squad and
you know, solid goaltender in Gustafson. So I don't know,
I expect them to be a playoff team. I certainly
don't think they're contenders.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
No, you wouldn't say contenders.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Maybe maybe maybe yeah, back, I don't know. I mean
in the Western like we always talk about every single
season season at the Western the Western Conference like, but
although now recently that's not the case because we were
having you know, a couple of years straight where like
the eighth, seventh seed or whatever was making it at
least to the Western Conference final. But now we're kind

(17:47):
of seeing these you know, dominant teams dominating in the
playoffs for the most part, exception of maybe Winnipeg, but like,
they still got to get past Dallas, they still got
to get past and we can bring up win the
peag because they're probably going to be very good this
year as well. Still gonna get past Vegas, Still got
to get past Colorado. I don't think they're better than
any of those teams, so it's gonna be difficult for them,

(18:11):
but I guess because they've been there back to back, right,
But even Edmonton, like I don't consider their roster better
than those other teams that I just mentioned, even with
dryside on McDavid. Like, as far as depth goes, I
still have Vegas, Winnipeg, Dallas, and Colorado ahead of Edmonton.
That obviously is in my opinion. But yeah, I guess
you gotta get past Edmonton too. But I think it's

(18:33):
gonna make the Western Conference definitely more competitive because now
you're looking at, you know, beyond those four and then
you add Edmonton, and then you add Minnesota, so that
could be potentially you know, six teams that are you know,
Stanley Cup contenders, Stanley Cup favorites, or you know deep
playoff push type teams.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Yeah, no, COUE agree. All right, let's go into our
little preview team conferences stuff like that. I did ask
you guys a couple of questions and instead of going
to a team by team like we typically do, because
we're gonna go to nine o'clock on here. Uh, maybe

(19:13):
we'll just do do some other things so as we
wait for shorts. Guy, Uh, what off season moves did
you like dislike? You know, just give me a rundown
of things that you saw over the off season. But
whether it be the draft or free agency or trades
or coaching move you know, we kind of went through
this in the beginning, but it was more Fred you know,

(19:35):
now that's kind of settled in. You see teams go
through the preseason a little bit. What what are you
guys looking forward to.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
I'll let you go. I'll let you from go into
detail minus pretty short and sweet. I don't I honestly,
I don't think. I don't think anyone specifically got much better.
I think, guys, you saw a lot of depth pieces
get signed in the offseason. You saw a lot of
resignings and contract extensions.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
You look at me, don't team there was a team
that got better, is what you're saying.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
I don't think necessarily there's a team that really moved
the needle as far as getting, you know, better than
what they were. If they were good, they stayed still good.
I don't think there's a team that was like at
the playoffs that all of a sudden now looks like
because the moves that they made are going to make
a push for the playoffs. I think everybody is basically
about the same, to be completely honest, and even with

(20:33):
the coaching changes, I don't I don't honestly know. I mean,
I can go on about Pittsburgh. I want to get
into them yet. But Florida, obviously, them being able to
stay the same is great for them. I don't think
they got better than they were last season, but they
brought back everybody, so I mean, that's great for Florida.
But otherwise I don't think anything like really blew me away.

(20:54):
But I don't know that necessarily. I know, unfortunately the
Islanders did really good in the draft, but I don't
I don't know of any specific signing or acquisition that
really was like wowed.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Man.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
I mean, sum you can probably go in this a
little bit. I'm sure you gonna do it. But Mitch
Marner was a good signing for a Vegas Golden Knights
team that has they have the top ten guys, they
have an yeah, they have an icle, they have a
Thomas Hurtle they have mark Stone, but Marner definitely adds
a depth to that team where Ikeel doesn't necessarily have

(21:28):
to be the facilitator. Now Marner is that guy, and
Nicael can maybe focus on scoring goals, which has been
a big thing. He's never scored I think over thirty five.
It then puts guys down in the lineup a little more.
I do like that a lot. I think Vegas is
the team to beat in the West. That's gonna be
my pick for the Western Conference. Obviously, with the New

(21:54):
York Rangers, my guys getting a coach, you always get
the coach coach bump. So they went from one of
the worst teams in the league in terms of effort
and and all this other stuff which we need not
get into because last year was just treacherous. But I
think Sullivan's gonna do a very good thing in New
York this season. Put accountability into the team, and I
do see them getting the playoffs, whether it be like

(22:15):
a second or third seed in the Metro if they're
fighting for a wild card. I think that's kind of
a negative on the season. But and then my last thing, Carolina,
we all you know, we have our thoughts on them, right,
we think that they are a paper tiger. They do
really well in the postseason, then in the regular season

(22:37):
and the postseason they just seem to fall apart. And
they did get better, right, KeAndre Miller was a good
piece to get for them. I don't like. I think
I like to trade more from the Rangers side of
what they got, even though Scott marro was not gonna
make their team, which is frustrating, but let them.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
They still young, Yeah, I know, I just he was
in the at least playing the AHL and you don't
have to send him back to junior.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Outplayed, but if you ever need him. He played guys
during the preseason, which which.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
You I don't want to say. I don't want to say, William,
this is very reminiscent of Sullivan. In Pittsburgh. There's a
lot of young guys that out played in training camp,
these veterans, and he is I mean, maybe maybe his
mentality has changed and we could get into this. This
is probably a topic we talked about for for a

(23:32):
long time. But you know, he he favors the Vets.
You know, he favors guys that he favors, guys like
Nola Chari, who will just go out there and block
shots but do nothing else.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
I mean, we just got h Connor Sherry and he's
going to make the opening roster as a third liner because.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
God forbid, Sullivan's man, Sullivan's boy.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Maybe get something out of them, because he literally remembers.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
I mean, you remember they brought him back. You know
he was Sullivan's guy or uh, yeah, he was Sullivan's
guy in uh in Pittsburgh when you know when he
came up, he's one of the call ups that they
that he brought with him to win back to back Cups.
And then he ends up. I don't remember if he
was traded or he was signed, whatever it was, but
then you know Sullivan wanted him back, and he got
him back and immediately threw him on Sid's line, and

(24:21):
you know what he did nothing nothing.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
So yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
I'm seeing every now, like I don't follow them as
closely as you do, but I'm seeing little signs here
and there of you know, Sullivan's flaws and he, like
everybody's flawed. Every coach is flaught. I think Sullivan is
a great coach, but he is he has his flaws,
and this is one of them. That can potentially drive
you crazy, especially if it if it keeps going, and

(24:47):
especially if it seems like it's a detriment, because sometimes
it can be. And in fact, I think over the
last couple of seasons of Pittsburgh it was.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
We'll see here, But Carolina Kundre Miller is a good move.
Nikolai Eilers was one of the better free agents in
the market. Maybe he gets his ceiling with what they had.
So the big thing with them obviously Freddie Anderson, Peter Kachekhov.
Do they have a goaltender? And will Rob system work
in the playoffs, which it just has not to date, right,

(25:17):
it has not worked. They can't make it out of
the second round. And that's why I said paper targets before.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
But yeah, going into the playoffs and then like that
first round they look good, I'm like, Okay, maybe Carolina
can finally turn around this year. And then they get
to the second round or whatever or the second half
of the series and they just look like absolute dog
shit and then they're done.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
They're they're a weird team, They're a weird t Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
It's sad, all right, So what is your guys opinions
social talk about your what you looked forward to in
the off season, what you like disliked h A.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Lot of the same. I was gonna say, starting with
the draft the Islanders. Unfortunately, we all hate the Islanders here,
but we had a really really good draft. Yeah, some
of the sign were great. They really had an awesome draft,
and I was like very upset by that. They're trying
to get what's his face from Boston, but Boston wouldn't
trade him. They wanted what's his name, the freaking kid.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Y're trying to.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Trade up to get him, but Boston won't budge anyway. Yeah,
so that some of the some of the bad stuff
I remember. I can't remember exactly who they signed, but
I know it's like a bunch of mediocre to bad players.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
The Kings.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
I remember seeing the signings and what is this team
doing and.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Like mediocre last year? Yeah, it's gonna be bad. It's
gonna be a bad year. I don't have any confidence
in the Kings this year. Unfortunately.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
I think they can still make the playoffs, but it's
I don't know, maybe, but Jesus Christ, although I do
want to see I think Utah can definitely take a
step forward. I think They're an up and coming young
team with a lot of They got a lot of
talent on that team.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I think they could. He'd I really liked him, Yeah,
I think he could.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
He's a sneaky Norris Trophy candidate. Sneaky Yeah, I mean Norris.
I mean if he wants to Norris that would be
pretty amazing, but would impressive. I mean he is defending candidate.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Maybe, Yeah, sneaky. I I agree, especially if if if
Utah really kind of takes off to the next level
and if he ends up being like a workhorse, which
I think.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
He definitely is, Yeah, he should be now, right, Jack
the whole thing of all the goalies new helmets this season.
He's got a giant like Woolye mammoth on his helmet,
and oh yeah, the one, uh, who's the I can't
remember the guy. He always has like Simpson characters on
his helmet. I forget where he's playing now, but he has.
But he's on the who's ever signed with the Islanders.

(28:03):
He's got like a Simpson's version of the old Fisherman
logo on his helmet. It's pretty it's pretty great.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
And then there's a Smith.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Or somebody on Dallas has like a giant Jurassic Park
t Rex. Because he said, yeah, so that's why he
wanted on his helmet. I'm like, good about time. I
want to I want to bring back there. Yeah, okay,
that's what it was.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
I think he signed with the Islanders. He's got like
a I don't know, Oh yeah, isn't he hurt though,
I don't know. He might be hurt, I don't know,
but yeah, but uh yeah, so that was the bad good.

(28:55):
I mean, I kind of agree with you. I don't
think any team like the big fishes were signed like
Marner to Vegas. Okay, check Mark for them.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Appencroft, Elers, hey g everybody else hey as g uh
but yeah, everybody else for just going over who we
think had a good offseason bad offseason? Ok yeah, everybody's
still kind of like status quo. I think.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
I don't think anybody like really got like tremendously better.
I think it's gonna be like a lot of the
same teams that we saw last year in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
I think I think some of the teams, like somebody
like Utah who has young you know, developing into real
NHL talent, someone like them. I think that they're just
gonna get better by default because they're they're their.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Young yet another good young player for that team. All right, So,
as we always do every year, we do the fun
uh little picks for our awards as of last year,
because it's always fun to go over last year's total. Fast.
My MVP was a uh and he actually did pretty

(30:01):
well until he got hurt. So that's it. Yeah, he was.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
He was number one like the beginning of the season.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Uh. Steve said McMuffin, Shwim should shif lee and shorts
guy said Maddie kachuk uh and we all lost. So
that's good. Stephen, by the way, who won the VP?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Connor hallibuok Oh.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Connor Hallibuk Wait you yes, that's right, and you said
he wouldn't even be anywhere near the conversation.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
I still and I and I still don't agree with it.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
I told you was gonna get it, uh, Norris I
had Dollen, Stephen had Morrissey, Shwim had Morrissey, and shortsky
et Seth Jones and we all missed that one too, uh,
Vesna Shasterkin, Steven Hallibuck. It's a good job Stephen, uh
Shanet Bassie and shorts guy had ol Mark Rookie of

(30:52):
the Year, Miskovskov, stank Covin and Seamus Casey. Once again
we all lost uh Rockers, I had Connor yep, yep.
You also had Joel bloom Bloomquist as a little parentheses,
so uh you missed that one as well. Uh Connor, Matthews,
Ryan Hart and McDavid. We all lost that one as well.

(31:14):
The Richard and then we had Stars Stars Winnipeg and
New Jersey Devils as the Cup winners and we all
know that field as well. Steven had the Stars versus Florida,
so he gets half credit our picture. We really do
well on our picks. So that's why I love doing
this every year. Uh So we will do the same

(31:35):
thing and we'll go from the top m v P
s So shorts guy, who's your MVPH welcome, who's so
even Stephen m v P.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Alright, I'm gonna take I am you know what career capriso.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Oh you bastard. Well not to change of mine.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
I was gonna go two for two the hope when
he plays the full season.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
I'm going I'm going full Homer here finally wins. Hmmm, well,
I mean he's already won one, but he wins. He's
gonna lead the league in scoring again, but finally win
this time.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
All right, Uh, I will go see McMuffin is too easy,
but I think he's gonna go absolutely ridiculous this year us.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Just as good as he always is. I think with
injury too. Yeah, I don't think he's gonna I think
he's gonna be make. I think he's gonna be McMuffin
maybe gonna make.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Goalie wins two years in a row.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Goaliere, I'll go. I mean it's not it's not. I'm
gonna go. McKinnon not that much off. But okay, okay, Yeah,
they had a bad year last year, and I can
think they could jump out shorts.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
I'm gonna go way out there, uh Matt Requeus. Oh yeah, no,
uh no, I'm gonna. I'm gonna say on a new team,
Mitch Marner just all right.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
I was looking at Martins.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Part of the Toronto market does something big shwim.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Norris Norris, Uh, I will go with.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
I think we need some new blood in the Norris.
I want to get a new name in there. Uh,
I'm trying to think of like a top guy.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
I'm gonna go Bouchard Edmonton.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Eh yeah, I like that. I'm going for it.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Geez.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
I could have said Darnel Nurse, but I refrained.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
I think I would rather say nurse, get the.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Hell out of here, buzz your girlfriend? Yeah right, all right,
Uh Steven.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
It's gotta be cal.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
It's it's his to lose every season, just everyone.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Yeah, Buchhort is just disgusting to write in this thing.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Uh, Shorty because he sucks.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Right, Yeah, he's not even gonna make Team Canada. I
guarantee he doesn't even make Team Canada and you're not.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Gonna be.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
I guarantee probably.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Well, well, if he doesn't make it, then you're gonna
be wrong and then we both will be sitting out
for Team Canada. If you somehow be upset, there's still
a possibility. It's not out of the picture, Melvin.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Please let me see Quinn Hughes.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
All right, always good one. Yeah, it's that's pretty good
as a New Jersey only if you get straighted. I
think this is great podcasting. I'm gonna go to a
guy that I think, uh is gonna boom because his

(35:20):
typical defensive partner is gone for the season. Shaye Theodore, Okay,
he's the first power play. He'll have the lion's share.
I think he could be extremely good on that team.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
I hope both you and Shorts guard right, because I
have both of them on my fantasy.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Well, yeah, that would help you, right, Uh? I mean
this is typically gonna be one of five guys, four guys,
five guys like yeah, four probably Yeah, Shorts, you want
to answer first?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Jeez, I'm I'm there's an obvious answer that I want to.
You know that can that we can ease? They say,
But yeah, Jake Allen, sure sure, Nico DAEs cleared Waivers. Yeah,
we were talking about that last night. Yeah, Nico does Uh.

(36:16):
You know what, I'm gonna go out there and I'm
going to say, kind of going with this the news signing,
let's say, Philip Gustafson, Oh, I like it. It's a
big season.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
I will go with no Cergovski. I think that Bob
is going to Yeah, I think that with Barkov out,
it's gonna fall more on him.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
To That's not good. You don't want that. You don't
want to.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Because I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
If you can last years ago, that would be fantastic.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
That would be.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Oh my god, that'll be great. I would love it.
My other choice was gonna be Mac Black, but I.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Was thinking that too. I actually he's already starting the
season injured.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Yeah, I know. That's the only thing that sucks.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
Yeah, talk that night to.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Three Pete Oh helly okay, wow, and swim Otre Otter.
We're gonna go back to back Americans. I like Otter.
No one picks Fasty, No one picks Schasty, No one
picks uh Aiden Hill. Aiden Hill is another one.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Aiden Hill is also Yeah, he doesn't play a lot,
and he's also hurt pretty often as well.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
He is, Yeah, rookie of the year. It is my
turn to go first. I have not gone first yet,
and I'm going ze okay, good, hmmm, I'm not going
I'm gonna go with the power play quarterback. There's one
other guy, Popper play quarterback that I would pick two
on a perak uh yep, praik Man. I like him

(38:00):
a lot. One of the two I think could easily
be uh the guy. Uh.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
It's hard for Yeah, that's yeah, that's a that's the
easy choice. I was gonna pick him, but then I'm
I'm gonna go, I'm going off base. I know that
I'm gonna say it because I know Shorts Guy's not
gonna say it. I'm gonna say ving that is Sidney
Crosby's right wing.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Okay, all right, yeah, and s g Man.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
I don't even know because I have not paid enough
attention all summer long. Uh So I'm just gonna homer
it and say, grits yuk. Just what the hell?

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Grit zuok, grits yuk. Yeah, I'm just a grit because
I have no idea who all that is? Rock and Rashard?
Who are the goal scorers?

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Who is that is?

Speaker 1 (38:54):
That? Is he on the Devil's Yeah, I have no idea.
I would assume he is, he said Homer, So Rocket show, dang.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
Anybody, I'll go.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
I'll go Michael, because I just talked about Marner.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Pass I'm gonna say. I'm saying Caprice off.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
That's makes sense.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Yeah, he earns his contract.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Yep, shwim.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
I'm thinking, I'm thinking I want to go off the board.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
Here you can go, Matt, you can go, Matt repe Yeah,
too far off the board.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
There is a guy, did you did you see U?

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Four minutes? The guy apparently Sullivan likes him.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
The other guy there's a well, of course, no, there's
no chance he likes him.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Apparently he just change his game. I don't know. I
don't like it either, but.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
I've got bad he changed his game just with just
wait a little bit.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Yeah. I know I've told I don't like them, I
want them off the team. But this is what I hear.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
There's one of the contractors at work was walking around
a Matt Rempey sweatshirt the other day.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
I don't know, you should have just walked up to
him launched him.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
So so one of the guys that could make well,
he's not gonna make the team off the bat, but
eventually could be up his uh. It's he's a six
foot nine center and with him Rampa and Edstrom they
were thinking about calling him like the uh, the the
Towers or the New York Towers or something that's like

(40:36):
the line or something.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
Have three big guys. Well, there wouldn't be twin towers obviously,
and they call him like the rampire State Building. It's
fucking horrible.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
I hate it. That's pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Shrimp. Can you give me a goddamn fifty goal scorer,
you jerk, you just leave, that's what's gonna win it. Okay, Well,
I'm just let's go. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go
home run last year, mm hmm. You did even pick
point points the better? Would you thought point would be

(41:11):
the guy on that team?

Speaker 3 (41:13):
I would guess the point point cancel score.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
I'm wanna.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
I'm gonna go different. I'm gonna go Cansel.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Okay, I mean if Gensel HiT's forty, I'd be like, Wow,
that was an awesome year, right, it would be awesome,
and maybe he'll win it with forty.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Yeah, I mean yeah, yeah, it's possible. I guess.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
By the way, uh, ESPN, which we're doing our Fantasy
League one, Uh, they have two fifty goal scorers, Austin
Matthews at fifty one and dry set out fifty and
then they have pointed forty.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Matthew's just I don't I don't know. I don't know
if it's like I thought it was. I thought he
was gonna be like the next Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Well, I mean Gonsel with forty two, they have capris
of a forty three Dean you forgot to mention that.
And they have Ichael nowhere in the top fifty. I
might have made a bad pick. He's not even in
the top one hundred. Where's Michael? What the hef Anyways, shorty?
Who is your rocket? Richard Dry Sidle thirty goals? Try

(42:15):
try gay? All right?

Speaker 3 (42:17):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Our typical bold predictions good and bad? So bold prediction.
I say the Utah Mammoth make the second round of
the playoffs, not only make the playoffs, but win a round,
winn around and my bad? All right? If someone to

(42:46):
give a good wal if you talk bad or yeah
you taught mammoth.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Is bad predictions?

Speaker 1 (42:52):
Bold predictions good and bad as typical? Uh, my bad
bold prediction is oh, man, you guys gotta give me
help me.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
Uh, give me some other what's gonna be bad?

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (43:09):
An alternate captain, Oh, that would be bad.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
That would be as bad as it gets. Florida My
bad Florida Panthers do not make it out of the
first round. I'm cool with that, Okay.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Yeah, it's a lot of hogh likes.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
Uh who else.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
Bold predictions and something that's bad that's gonna happen?

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Huh, I got mine I got my bold bold prediction
the Buffalo Sabers make it to the second round of
the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
That is, christ second round of the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
Not that is gonna be so fun when I read
that this time next year'd prediction it worse than it.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
Yeah, they finished the worst team in the league and
and they finally draft Gavin McKenna is like, which is
better than me?

Speaker 1 (44:12):
Don't draft n Yeah?

Speaker 2 (44:16):
In the bold h Florida doesn't even make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
Oh, that's even worse than mine, Florida.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
That'd be something I can't imagine that happens, but that
would be something.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Yeah, just because the East is so bad. But yeah,
it's I like it. I like, who's who's got even
more bold? Trying to think is it a is it
a bold bad? Uh?

Speaker 3 (44:43):
A bold bad?

Speaker 1 (44:44):
Uh? Well meaning the team prediction.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
Yeah, well I'm saying what if is what if I
say that Connor Bodard is going to be a minus forty?

Speaker 1 (44:53):
Or is that?

Speaker 3 (44:53):
Just like?

Speaker 1 (44:54):
Known? What was he last year? Wasn't he close? I
want to see he was he was last year at
twenty to it and that's what you go with twenty. Yeah,
that'd be pretty funny. Plus minus the minus leaders minus
thirty five. That's LORI Sobrina's minus twenty nine? What was
Bdard was minus twenty eight? That's minus forty eight? Oh no,

(45:17):
wait sorry, this is twenty twenty six season predictions. Hold on,
if I go to the twenty twenty five season, I
miss messed up that up. But Dard was minus thirty six.

Speaker 3 (45:27):
Okay, bad, So I'm going I'm going. I'm saying he's
gonna I'm saying he's gonna break forty this time.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
Okay, Bdard like over minus forty.

Speaker 3 (45:37):
And his his fall from grace continues.

Speaker 1 (45:42):
Wow, I actually think he'll be gonna be one of
the top scores this year.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
But you do, I'm gonna say my bold prediction. I'm
not gonna say ship that. Then I have to.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
We's here, give it to us. Sounds good, you know what?
Do it? It's bold.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
I'm gonna say, all right, bold prediction. The Winnipeg Jets
are going to make the Stanley Cup Final.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
Wow, I like it. Sure year for that and they
blew it. Well, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (46:10):
I think that the pressure Jonathan Tave's second line center, Yeah,
we'll see.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
I don't like that though, second line center.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
I mean until no, he I think he's well, I
think he's I don't know that he's hurt, but I
think he's fine.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Just like.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
Yeah, Adam Lowry is hurt, so he's kind of filling
out and he.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
Would be the second line center when he comes back.
Yeah mhm. And then right in the week, Tave's second
line alongside Nikita.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
I'll think of it. They're gonna go. They're gonna be
Stanley Cup Final, all right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
I like it. Maybe it'll be Winnipeg a little yeah wow.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Two starving fan bases shwim, bolden, bold, good and.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
Bad, and the finals get canceled in game seven, can
be like it'll be Yeah, it'll be like the nineteen
seventeen one with the Seattle Metro.

Speaker 4 (47:18):
I don't know if this counts as bold and bad
like a combo, but i'm gonna say, going along with
you guys in your Buffalo Sabers and utah Utalians not
only making the playoffs but winning around. I'm gonna say
this team sneaks in as a wild card. I'm not
gonna say they're gonna win anything, but i'm gonna say
they'renna sneak in as a wild card Pittsburgh Penguins.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Hey, all right, I don't think that he depends wildcard
and what is the bad?

Speaker 4 (47:47):
That's pretty bad if they make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
But uh no that I think that's a good that's
a that's a good thing. I guess they're expects.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
Yeah, they're they're predicted to projected to be the bottom
three some yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
Dad Florida, but also Florida finishes worse in the league
and they get Gavin McKenna.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
Oh oh god, why do you gotta put that out
in the universe.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Yeah, that's horrible, last in league.

Speaker 3 (48:16):
You should like push five dollars on that, because I
think that five dollars would turn into like at least
three thousand.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
I wonder how much. I wonder what the All right, Stephen,
I got one?

Speaker 2 (48:31):
Sorry?

Speaker 1 (48:32):
Ready? Right? Uh well, let's just doing the winner. Well no, no,
we're gonna do the winner two but East so Eastern Conference,
Western Conference, and then final winner. So I will go first.
I'm gonna do the whole team uh standings, and I

(48:53):
just lanked and lost my thing. Uh, I'm gonna go.
I don't like that. Uh, I don't really want to
root for Toronto, but that if you look at that
Atlantic other than Florida and Tampa, there's really no one else.

(49:18):
Oh god, it's really bad. It really is really bad.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
It's kind of a crap shoot. It's not that it's bad,
it's just that who.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
Makes that a metro? Like, who's this? Who's the Eastern
Conference representative in the Metro other than Carolina. I don't
think the Devil's I don't think it's the Rangers. I
don't think it's the Capitals like you looked at it, Flyers, Islanders, Penguins,
blue Jackets, like the Metro is dog shit. It's it's horrible.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
Columbus can take a step, I mean, perhaps, but they're
still really weak.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
All right, I do say, yeah, this is this really
is bad. Horrible podcasting too. Uh, first time ever there's
no representative. Yeah, I really can't pick a Metro team.
It's it's that bad. I almost want to wish, like
I want to wish that Florida gets the eight seed,
is the wild card and then faces It's like Florida

(50:21):
Tampa and in the stand up in the Eastern Conference finals,
I'm gonna go to Audawa Senators. Yeah, I'm don't go
in All Canada matchup Ottawa Senators. They're gonna as the
wild card. They're gonna make it in there, and they're
gonna beat up the shitty Metro And I'm gonna go
Ottawa and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
That's what you're doing the Eastern Conference final?

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Yeah, no, no, that's the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 4 (50:50):
Yeah, we're doing the Eastern Conference final.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
We're we did We did the Eastern Conference Western Conference
last year too.

Speaker 4 (50:57):
Okay, no, man, all right, fine, I don't think that
could happen.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
But well, if if Autawa makes the wild card, they
can when they play them in the second round, they
would go. They would play the top team in the metro.

Speaker 3 (51:13):
Theoretically, theoretically as possible.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
Yeah, they could make the wild card and.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
Then somehow, I don't know, there's definitely a way, like
if both wildcards are also Atlantic teams, you know, yeah,
and who plays who so.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
And then I'm gonna go. This is pretty chalky, but
I'm gonna go V G K and Colorado in the
Western Conference.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
Okay, are you gonna do your final two or you're
just do an Eastern Conference with.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Uh yeah, sure, I'm gonna do Tampa and call Tampa
and Vegas. Vegas wins the Cup.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
Tampa Vegas, Vegas wins. All right, hmm, okay, who next?

Speaker 1 (51:59):
Ultimate mystery for swim loses so much fun.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
Shwim cam on, give a happy camper.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
I think you guys have one more year and then
you're gonna go. See it.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
I'll go, Yep, doesn't matter who we played in the
Eastern Conference finals, We're going to the Cup finals New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
Because you gotta get me a team Tampa, all right,
Temp Bay nice? Who's the West?

Speaker 3 (52:34):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (52:35):
Winnipeg, Dallas nice.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
Like Winnipeg, and then you have Winnipeg winning.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
The Western Coms.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
Gonna be the first part in like two years that
you didn't pick the Devils.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
No, I just did.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
Oh wait, you said the doubles win.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
I said Winnipeg wins the West and the Devil's beat Winnipeg.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
Oh you actually had winn a peg winning last year
the way.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
That's fine?

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Nice?

Speaker 2 (53:05):
All right?

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Uh, let's see it for shwimmer Swimmer Eastern Conference.

Speaker 4 (53:17):
I will go. I'll go somehow Toronto and Tampa will
play each other in the Eastern Conference final.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
So one of those teams is a wild card and
I like it, okay.

Speaker 4 (53:35):
Uh. And then the West, I'm gonna go, uh Vegas
and somebody crazy who doesn't belong there and has like
a Cinderell run Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (53:51):
Oh ye, Vegas, you have Vegas and who and.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
Then Vegas wins that, and then uh, Tampa beats Toronto
in four straight games forty four nothing.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
So tamp In Vegas you got, I'm gonna go. I'll
go Tampa in seven home. Yeah, alright, I never picked
my team. All right, this is the first time I'm
picking my team.

Speaker 3 (54:17):
I'm going for it, and nobody likes it.

Speaker 1 (54:21):
Nope, I don't like you, all right, but I hope
Team Canada you've made that known, doesn't call you.

Speaker 3 (54:27):
Team Canada is calling Vegas Winnipeg Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 1 (54:33):
But you can't win.

Speaker 3 (54:34):
Yep, here you go shwim Carolina Toronto Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 1 (54:45):
Oh that's horrible.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
I hate it too. Carolina Winnipeg in the Cup final.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Oh oh, and no one would have watched that. That
might be the lowest rated Standley Cup in history. Absolutely. Yeah,
it's worse than Florida and and Edmondson. Yeah and oh
thank god? All right, Well, at least it's someone better

(55:13):
than Yeah, all right, well that's our fun. I like
doing this every year so we look back and just
see how bad we could be. Uh, there's always a
fun time to go and chat with you gentlemen about
how bad we are predictions. I actually gonna tally it
up eventually and see really how bad each one of
us is, maybe to a point scoring system could do.

Speaker 4 (55:37):
Uh, Jack Adams, you want to Jack Adams?

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Jack Adams? Okay, all right, Jack Adams? Who do you
I mean? Because why not Sullivan? Because uh, he's gonna
It's gotta be somebody new who are going it takes

(56:01):
a team?

Speaker 3 (56:05):
I want vote coach?

Speaker 1 (56:08):

be somebody who's the most improved. Right, I don't even

Speaker 1 (57:01):

in the finals. Don't listen to him. Who is by
