Dive deep into the essential landmark of salvation as Rev. Dwain Gailher dismantles theological misconceptions that have limited God's redemptive plan. With remarkable clarity, he challenges the restrictive tenets of Calvinism while establishing three foundational truths that form the bedrock of Christian faith.

The sermon begins by addressing how seemingly intellectual theological frameworks can lead believers astray when they contradict Scripture's clear teaching. Rev. Dwain Gailher  systematically unpacks the troubling implications of TULIP doctrine (Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace, and Perseverance of saints), contrasting them with the Bible's repeated use of "whosoever"—a word appearing thirty times in relation to salvation.

What makes this message particularly compelling is its balance between theological depth and practical application. Young believers are challenged to stop "hitchhiking" spiritually—riding on the faith of family members without personal commitment. The speaker poignantly observes that while parents can pass down their name, home, and even religious traditions, they cannot transfer their salvation experience to their children.

The sermon reaches its pinnacle when exploring salvation's supernatural accomplishments. Through three Greek words for redemption, we witness Christ entering the slave market of sin, paying the highest price with His blood, leading us out from bondage, and breaking every chain. This powerful imagery illustrates complete liberation—"he whom the Son sets free is free indeed."

Whether you're questioning theological concepts that seem to limit God's grace or seeking to understand the difference between cultural Christianity and genuine faith, this message provides clarity without compromise. The landmark of salvation stands firm: universally available, individually appropriated, and supernaturally accomplished.

Ready to move beyond religious traditions to experience true spiritual transformation? Listen now and discover why God's redemptive plan includes you—no matter who you are or what you've done.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Greetings everyone.
This is Brother David Webb fromHodgenville, kentucky.
Thank you for listening toHoliness Preaching Online.
We want to present to you todaya great sermon from another
great preacher.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Lord bless you, amen.
Well, how are all you youngfolks doing today?
How about all the old folksthat are here, like me?
Huh, praise the Lord.
Man, that was great singing, wasn't it?
Powerful songs, and it's beenquite a while since I heard
Landmark's song.
That's tremendous, amen.

(00:40):
Well, I trust that if you havedrifted away or strayed away
from landmarks that God put inyour life, you'll get back to
them this week, and if youhaven't, I hope you'll just
establish the ones you have, praise the Lord youth conference

(01:07):
.
So I'm glad they let me comeand that they invited me to say
something.
It's even better, well, kind of, but I'm honored to be here.
I appreciate this board ofdirectors and my thanks to
brother trent brewer, who'shelping me with a few slides
from my outline here today.
I'm thrilled to be with you andI trust that God will speak to
your heart in these two days.
Man, I mean, they come and goquick and you got to get in and

(01:30):
get what you can from the Lord.
Amen.
Turn with me, if you would, toTitus, chapter three.
If you don't mind, I knowyou've been standing, but if
you'd please stand just for thereading of the word, I would
appreciate that today.
Amen.

(01:52):
Praise the Lord, titus, chapterthree, and we'll begin reading
at verse number three, for weourselves also were sometimes
foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers, lust and

(02:13):
pleasures, living in malice andenvy, hateful and hating one
another.
Wow, that's a terribledescription, isn't it?
Amen, thank God, that word inthere is were we were.
If you are like that today, youreally need to hear my

(02:36):
preaching today.
Amen.
But after that, the kindnessand love of God, our Savior,
toward man appeared, not byworks of righteousness, which we
have done, but according to hismercy.
He saved us Praise the Lord bythe washing of regeneration and

(03:03):
renewing of the holy ghost, which he shed on us abundantly
through jesus christ, our savior, that, being justified by his
grace, we should be made heirsaccording to the hope of eternal
life.
Amen.
Let's settle the landmark ofsalvation today.

(03:24):
What do you say?
Amen, lord, we thank you todayfor your spirit.
We feel in this place, my.
This is an amazing crowd ofyour people, lord, and I'm so
grateful that you've drawn themand brought them from all over
this country and maybe from evenother countries, I don't know.
But I pray that you, here inthis meeting, you would draw our

(03:46):
hearts together, draw our mindstogether, for the Holy Ghost is
called the Spirit of Truth andI pray that you will work truth
into our hearts and make usstrong in the faith.
We pray it in Jesus' name, amen, you can be seated.
The theme, of course, islandmarks, landmarks of our

(04:07):
Christian faith, here this year.
Now, my Webster's dictionary, which is the Bible of word
definitions, amen.
Says, first of all, the basicdefinition of a landmark is it's
an object to mark a boundary, all right.
But the expanded definition ofthat is it's a conspicuous

(04:29):
object.
See, there is a difference, because there are some objects
to mark a boundary that youcan't even see them.
But these are conspicuousobjects, amen.
They are objects that mark acourse or serve as a guide.
So here we are in PFYC for thenext two days.

(04:51):
We want to point out to yousome doctrines that mark a
boundary for truth inChristianity, amen.
We want to remind you of someof the conspicuous, obvious and
important doctrines, amen, thatmark a course of divine truth
and serve as a guide for yourChristian life.

(05:14):
You realize, like I preached acouple years ago, there are
voices everywhere and they allproclaim that they're right, but
they're not all right.
God's truth is always right andthat's what we want to settle
in your hearts in these next twodays Amen.
And just like the Bibleprohibited anyone from moving an

(05:36):
old landmark for whateverreason, amen.
We must not allow thesebiblical landmarks to be removed
.
They are markers of God's truth.
His word has forever placedthem and we must take heed to
them if we want to make itsafely to heaven.
I want to say, before I dig intothis, that all of you young

(06:00):
people are immensely blessed.
Indeed, in my day which I knowyou weren't even alive, I know,
but in my day we didn't havethese kind of meetings.
Gradually, youth camps becamecommon, but we did not have this

(06:22):
quality of meeting where thesemen, these board members and
directors, are seriouslyconcerned about biblical
doctrine and they want you, young people, to hear it.
They're not acting like you'reso dumb you can't figure it out,
amen.
They're believing that you haveenough discerning and enough

(06:42):
ability spiritually to take inthe truth and get these
doctrines, because you can'tgrow a strong Christian life
drinking the milk of Biblestories and hearing fast songs.
Amen.
Those all have their place, butyou got to get in the meat of
the word of God and know thedoctrinal basis for what you

(07:04):
believe and why you believe itAmen.
So we want to begin with alandmark of salvation today.
And one thing is certainwithout salvation, as it is
presented in the Bible, nobodycan be a true Christian.
No exceptions, nobody makestheir own way to God.
This is a landmark that cannotbe ignored.

(07:25):
It must not be neglected andshould never be moved, amen.
So I have three main pointstoday that I want to share with
you.
The doctrine of salvation ishuge and I'm going to approach
part of it.
Brother Rawson is going to dealwith part of it, but we could
never exhaust it in one day.
But we're going to focus onpart of it, but we could never
exhaust it in one day, but we'regoing to focus on these certain

(07:46):
areas.
I want to tell you, first of all, the availability of salvation
is universal.
The availability of salvationis universal, amen.
It is vital that you youngpeople understand that salvation

(08:07):
is available to everyone who isever born.
You say duh?
Everybody knows that.
No, everybody doesn't seem toknow that, amen.
As a matter of fact, somepeople right in our own ranks,
in our own churches, in our ownfellowships, have been detoured

(08:27):
away from the belief that theavailability of salvation is
universal.
For there have been segments ofChristianity through the years
that have restricted theavailability of salvation
because they have misinterpretedthe Bible.
Amen salvation.
Because they've misinterpretedthe bible, amen the.

(08:47):
The famous man who who beganthis misdirection, was a good
man, john calvin.
He was a reformer, along withmartin luther, back in the 1500s
.
They lived in a time when the,the Roman Catholic church,
dominated the church world, andthey backlashed against that

(09:09):
because it was so ritualisticand the Pope and the priests had
total authority.
And so God began dealing withmen like Martin Luther and John
Calvin and others that were inthat reformers day, and God
began leading them out of thebottoms of Catholicism.
Well, john Calvin, as he beganmeditating in the Scriptures, he

(09:31):
believed that God was sovereign, not the church, and he was
right.
So he believed in thesovereignty of God.
That's how it began in a real, very, very well, for lack of a
better word a very innocent wayamen.
But he developed a framework ofdoctrine from that that has

(09:54):
gone astray amen.
He developed five major pointsof Calvinism and they are
presented in an acrostic of theword tulip.
Tulip is a beautiful flower,but it's a terrible doctrine.
Amen, all right.
Now the very first one we agreewith and the Bible agrees with.

(10:15):
There's no question about thetotal depravity of man.
All men are sinners by theirnature and by their practice and
no one can justify or savehimself.
That is absolutely true, amen.
So I mentioned that Calvinbegan to emphasize the
sovereignty of God.

(10:35):
So let me make sure we allunderstand that the sovereignty
of God is not false doctrine.
We believe in and the Bibleteaches the sovereignty of God,
who exists in three personsFather, son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
If you don't believe God is thesovereign of the universe, man,

(10:56):
you're in bad trouble.
But the real problem began whenCalvin and those who followed
after him took the sovereigntyof God to a next level.
That was not and is not trulybiblical.
They reasoned in their mindokay, since God is sovereign, he

(11:20):
can do anything he wants to do,and since God is sovereign, he
does anything he wants to do.
Nothing happens except he doesit.
And they gradually work theirway to the fact that, since God
is sovereign, god thendetermines who can be saved and
who cannot be saved.
They believe God determinesthis step by step, through what

(11:44):
we now call predestination, whereby God arbitrarily
determines who can and will besaved before they're ever born.
And they call it unconditionalelection, that God elects some
to be saved and elects some notto be saved.
So he chooses to be saved andhe chooses not to be saved, and
he chooses not to be saved andthe individual has nothing at

(12:08):
all to do with that.
It's all unconditionallyelected by God.
Wow.
That doctrine specificallyignores and undermines the fact
that God, who is the sovereigncreator, he did create all of
the universe and all of theworld by his own will, and he

(12:31):
did create man and woman by hisown sovereign will.
But in doing so, godconsciously and deliberately
gave man a free will.
Go with me back for a moment tothe Garden of Eden.
Okay, god decides, let us makeman in our image and in our

(12:58):
likeness.
There's nobody there to tellhim how to do it.
He does it by himself.
Adam couldn't give any input.
He wasn't there yet.
It's kind of like you trying todecide where your family went
on vacation before you were everborn.
You can't do that, you're noteven there.
So Adam didn't get to have anyinput on that.

(13:19):
It was not man's idea to have afree will.
God breathed into man thebreath of life and man became a
living soul, and part of thatsoul was a free will.
Amen.
The doctrine of man's free willis not opposed to the doctrine
of the sovereignty of God.

(13:40):
You don't have to choose one orthe other.
Hear me, young people God issovereign.
Choose one or the other.
Hear me, young people, god issovereign.
He rules the universe, amen.
But as the sovereign creator,he created you with a free will.
So that idea that God, sovereign, totally does whatever he wants

(14:03):
to do, decides who will besaved, whether or not man's will
is involved, this idea that Godsovereignly elected or
predestined led to yet anotherstep.
All right, since Godpredestined who would be saved
and who would not be saved aheadof time.
Then, when Christ went toCalvary and died on the cross,

(14:24):
the atonement that he providedonly applied to those people who
had already been elected by God.
So they limited the atonement, because if you aren't one of the
elect, jesus' blood doesnothing for you.
It's not for you, it's only forthose who are elected.

(14:48):
Wow, so talk about a mess.
How can people be led astray bythis mess?
They act like it's higherlearning.
They act like we are ignorant, and the fact of the matter is

(15:11):
they have allowed theirso-called genius to take them
into error.
And it gets even worse.
Amen, because if you areelected and predestined by God
to be saved and that atonementis especially for you then
you've got to be saved, right?
I mean, how can someone bepredestined by God to be saved

(15:33):
and then not be saved?
And you say, yeah, but what ifthey don't want to be saved?
No, that won't ever work.
You can't have that happen.
Come on on, how can somebodypredestined by god not want to
be saved?
So what happens is?
They say, here's what happensgod reaches to them with what
they call irresistible grace.

(15:54):
All right, it's not that godoffers them salvation and they
get a choice as to, yes, theywill be saved or no.
They won't be saved.
But god's grace comes to thosewho are elect in a way.
They cannot resist it.
It is irresistible and there'sno question as to whether or not
you'll respond and repent.

(16:15):
You will.
You have to.
You can't help it, you can'tstop it.
It's irresistible.
And we got one more step, whichis the cap.
That is the worst of them all.
It's called the perseverance ofsaints, which is more commonly

(16:39):
known as eternal security, ifyou believe all the previous
things that they believe.
You have to believe thisBecause, since God has decided
that some are elected to besaved and the atonement was
provided only for those who wereelected and they're not able to

(17:00):
resist God's grace and theywill certainly be saved then,
once only one step remain oncethey have been saved, they can
never be lost because, after all, god predestined them to be
saved and he made the atonementespecially for them and sent
grace especially to them.
And once they're saved, it'sthey're saved and that's the way

(17:21):
it's going to be.
Calvinism has terribly twistedthe doctrine of salvation.
Amen.
I'm not picking ondenominations.
I'm just saying to all of youyoung folks and you know what
Some of you here today that arenot so young anymore, you better

(17:45):
be careful who you're listeningto.
Amen.
They'll make it soundintellectual and spiritual when
it's error.
Stick with the book, friends.
Stick with the book.
Amen.
They have twisted salvation andI know it sounds elementary, I

(18:06):
know it does, but it can't behelped.
Amen, the clear declaration ofscripture about salvation.
It is for whosoever.
Amen.
I'm going to tell you todayjust that.
One word in itself defeats allthe nonsense of Calvinism Amen.
The golden text of the Bible isthat God so loved the world that

(18:28):
he gave his only begotten sonthat whosoever Hallelujah,
hallelujah.
How do you limit that you don't?
Whosoever believes in him shallnot perish but have everlasting
life.
For whosoever shall call on thename of the Lord shall be saved

(18:53):
.
Hallelujah For the grace of Godthat brings salvation hath
appeared to all men Thirty timesin the New Testament.
The word whosoever is used inconnection with salvation or a
decision to follow Jesus 30times.
I'll tell you what we need to dobefore we move on.

(19:15):
Let's take one minute and let'sthank God today for the glory
and rejoice in the fact that theavailability of salvation is
universal.
Hallelujah, glory to God.
It's for you.
It's for you For every race, every nationality, every tongue,

(19:42):
every tribe, every man, everywoman, every boy, every girl,
and that includes you.
The devil may say to you youcan't be saved.
That's because the devil's aliar.
You can be saved.
God already made the plan foryou to be saved.
All you have to do is agreewith it.
Hallelujah, you can be saved.

(20:02):
God already made the plan foryou to be saved.
All you have to do is agreewith it.
Hallelujah.
The availability of salvation isuniversal, the appropriation of
salvation is individual.
The appropriation of salvationis individual Because, while the

(20:24):
word whosoever is the biggestword in the Bible I mean its
scope covers it all it's alsoone of the smallest words in the
Bible Amen.
Because it opens the door ofsalvation to whosoever will
believe and it opens the door ofsalvation to whosoever will

(20:47):
call on the name of the Lord.
Emphasizing the entire humanrace is encompassed in that word
whosoever.
But that word whosoeverrestricts the appropriation of
salvation to whosoever.
Then that huge universalavailability comes down to one

(21:13):
individual who appropriatessalvation for themselves.
Hallelujah, amen.
We can sit here today andrejoice In the fact that
salvation was given to a wholeuniverse of people, but we also
have to take the responsibilityand understand that it's

(21:34):
whatever individual who believeson Jesus Christ that will not
perish but have everlasting life, and it's whatever individual
who will call on the name of theLord that will be saved.
Amen.
God so loved the world that hegave His only Son.
That is universal availability.
But whoever believes on Him,that's individual appropriation,

(21:57):
hallelujah.
When you were born, you didn'teven realize what all was going
on.
You automatically shared inyour family name.
When I was born, my name wasalready Gallagher my dad and my

(22:18):
mom.
They made it the goal of theirlife to take care of me.
It was great.
I didn't even appreciate ituntil later.
I thought they weren't takingcare of me as good as they used
to, because then I had a brotherand a sister.
They fed me, they clothed me,they gave me a safe, warm place

(22:39):
to live.
They gave me toys and candy andbirthday cake and ice cream.
They oversaw my education.
They let me drive their car.
Sometimes that was pretty good, sometimes it wasn't so good,
but at least I wasn't paying forit all.
On and on it went, all theseprivileges I received just

(23:01):
because I was born in theirfamily.
You know, they went to churchand they took me too, amen.
They read the Bible and theyread Bible stories to me too.
They sang and they prayed andthey shouted and they rejoiced
when they were at church, andthey speak in tongues as the

(23:21):
Spirit of God gave utterance,amen.
They lived lives of holinessand separation, and they saw to
it that I did too.
But my dad and mom could notpass their salvation on to me.
They gave me a lot ofadvantages and a lot of great
blessings in life, but theycould not pass their salvation

(23:44):
on to me, they could not believeon Jesus for me, they could not
call on the name of the Lord inmy place, amen.
There was a time when I had toappropriate salvation
individually, amen.
I had to believe on the Lord, jesus christ, as my own personal

(24:06):
savior.
I had to, with my own mouth andmy own words and my own voice,
call on the name of the lord sothat I would be saved.
Amen.
Salvation must be appropriatedindividually.
So everyone here today can besaved, but not everyone here

(24:30):
today is saved.
I dare say, if you're trying tohold on to mommy's apron
strings, you're trying to holdon to daddy's coattail to make
your way to heaven, it ain'tgoing to happen.
Hear me.
If the Lord comes, nobody'sgoing to heaven by hanging on to

(24:51):
mama's apron or daddy's coat.
You're going to have to beready for yourself, amen.
John said about Jesus he cameinto his own, but his own
received him not.
So I mean, jesus broughtsalvation to them, he made it
available, but they refused toaccept it and appropriate it.

(25:14):
But John said as many asreceived him To them, gave he
power or authority to become thesons of God, even to them that
believe on his name.
Oh, hear me today, sir, hear metoday, ma'am, hear me young man
, young lady.
Amen.
Listen, boys and girls, ifyou're here today, this great

(25:35):
salvation that God has providedit is for you.
But you must personally andindividually believe and you
must call on the name of theLord so that you will be saved.
You got to know that when youstand before God on judgment day

(25:56):
, you do not stand there in agroup.
You can't stand there and holdon mom and dad's hand with all
your siblings gathered around.
You can't stand there in acongregation from your church.
You can't stand there with ayouth group.
You stand there alone.

(26:17):
And when you stand there with ayouth group, you stand there
alone.
And when you stand there alone, what matters is not what mom
and dad and grandma and grandpaand uncle and aunt and brother
and sister and everybody elsedid.
What matters is your personalexperience with God.
Amen.
You say we're all saved.
I hope it's true, but I'mtelling somebody here today amen

(26:37):
, you've been hitchhikingspiritually for a long time.
Amen, you've been going alongwith the youth group, going
along with the family, goingalong with the congregation,
going along with the crowd, butyou have not made that personal
surrender to the Lord and it istime you must appropriate it
individually.
If you've not done that, don'tleave this meeting until you do.

(27:04):
The availability of salvation isuniversal, the appropriation of
salvation is individual and theaccomplishments of salvation
are supernatural.
Hallelujah, the accomplishmentsof salvation really are
supernatural.
Hey, we don't have time toexhaust the accomplishments or

(27:25):
the benefits of salvation.
I'm only going to hit twohighlights of salvation here
today that are powerful andamazing.
One of the amazingaccomplishments of salvation is
redemption.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, amen, you are redeemed, praise God.
There are three Greek words thatare translated into English

(27:49):
forms of redeem or redeemed, orredemption or redeeming.
Okay, all three of them areused in different, in different
times.
One word is agarazo, and thatword is a picture of someone
entering into a slave market.
There's a slave up on theauction block and the auction is

(28:11):
in process and and they'rebidding for this person and this
, this deliverer, comes rightdown into that slave market and
makes the high bid and pays theprice that is demanded
Hallelujah.
Well, spiritually, you and I,we were slaves.
We were up on the block.

(28:32):
The devil was bidding for yoursoul and he was bidding high,
but Jesus came right where youwere, placed the high bid and
paid the price.
Hallelujah, glory to god.
The second word is ex agarazo, and that means to purchase out

(28:52):
of the slave market, amen.
So the Lord, as the deliverer, came into that slave market, saw
you up for bid, made the highbid, paid the price and did.
He didn't just turn and walkaway and leave you there.
He took you by the arm and saidcome with me, son.
And he took you out of theslave market.

(29:13):
Hallelujah, he didn't leave youthere for another auction, amen
.
He took you out from there tonever go back again.
And the third Greek word isLutro, l-u-t-r-o-o, amen.
That means to set free by thepaying of the price.
So the Lord comes into theslave market.

(29:35):
So the Lord comes into theslave market, makes the high bid
, pays the price, leads yououtside.
And he doesn't walk away andleave you standing there with
shackles and chains on yourwrists, on your ankles, around
your waist, and say I hopeyou'll do good, son, I wish you
the best.

(29:56):
No, no, no.
He opens those shackles andremoves them all.
And the Bible says he whom theson sets free, hallelujah, he is
free.
Indeed, I want to tell you, young people here today, the

(30:17):
devil has no hold on your life.
You hear me, I know we hearabout bondage and addictions and
I know they're real, but I knowwho the deliverer is.
Amen.
Redemption is a supernaturalwork of salvation.
He will set you free.
He will set you free.
Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

(30:48):
John said the blood of JesusChrist that was shed on Calvary
Is the propitiation.
It's an old English word thatsimply means.
It's an old English word thatsimply means it was the complete
payment, the satisfaction.
When he walked in the slavemarket, he wasn't dealing with
cash, he was dealing with hislife.

(31:09):
Hallelujah, amen.
He paid the price by giving hislife and shedding his blood and
he did it for you, hallelujah.
And when you are redeemed by theblood of Jesus, amen, you are
justified, which is a legal termWhereby those who were guilty

(31:30):
of wrongdoing and they weresentenced to punishment.
Now they are freed from thatsin and they are pardoned from
that indictment and it's removedfrom your record.
Your friends will remember, some of them will bring it up,

(31:53):
and sometimes on a regular basis.
God doesn't remember those sinsanymore.
They have been covered by theblood.
Hallelujah.
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?

(32:13):
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Oh precious is that flow.
It makes me white as snow.
No other found.
I know nothing but the blood ofJesus.
Final point regeneration.
One of those supernaturalaccomplishments of salvation,

(32:34):
not only redemption butregeneration.
Amen.
When you were, when you wereborn because of God's original
creation, you were made up ofthree parts spirit, soul and
body.
The spirit of man is thatinnermost being.
It is invisible, it is immortal.
It's that place God created andplaced in man, whereby God can

(32:58):
communicate with man and we canrespond to God.
It's the home of the consciencethat God has placed in there to
give us guidance as to what isright and wrong.
But man's spirit was deadenedand darkened by sin with the
fall of Adam and Eve in thegarden.
So the Paul said in Ephesians 2.

(33:19):
Every sinner is quote dead.
In trespasses and sins we walkaccording to the prince of the
power of the air, a spirit thatnow works in the children of
disobedience, and we are thechildren of wrath.
But the good news was, in ourtext passage today, the kindness

(33:42):
and love of god, our savior, appeared and according to his
mercy he saved us by the washingof regeneration and the
renewing of the Holy Ghost, which he shed on us abundantly.
Through Jesus Christ, oursavior, we have been born again,

(34:05):
born of the spirit, hallelujah.
When Nicodemus talked to Jesus, jesus said you gotta be born
again.
He couldn't.
He couldn't grasp that.
He was thinking only inphysical, earthly terms, and he
knew it was impossible for agrown man to reenter his
mother's womb and be bornphysically again.

(34:26):
But Jesus was not referring tothis in a physical matter, but a
spiritual matter.
And so Jesus stated this man, nicodememus, except a man be
born of water which is not, bythe way, that is not water
baptism, don't get mixed upthere.
He's not talking about waterbaptism, he's talking about a

(34:49):
natural, physical birth except aman be born of water and of the
spirit, he cannot enter thekingdom of God for that which is
born of the flesh, that's beingborn of water, born of the
Spirit.
He cannot enter the kingdom ofGod for that which is born of
the flesh, that's being born ofwater, born of the flesh, and
that which is born of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is Spirit, isman's, that's God's way of born
and birthing.
You again, we are told that weare born of the Spirit.

(35:10):
So let me address quickly twomatters here.
In this regard, the Holy Spiritand the Holy Ghost are the same
person.
He is the third person of thedivine trinity.
He is called the Holy Ghost inthe scripture 89 times.
He is called the Holy Spirit,or the Spirit of God, or the

(35:31):
Spirit of Christ, or the Spirit137 times.
So please don't be ridiculousand try to prove that the Holy
Spirit is not the same as theHoly Ghost.
Come on.
I mean, after all, all fourGospels tell about the baptism
of Jesus and all four tell abouta dove that descended upon Him.
Matthew said the Spirit of Goddescended upon Him like a dove.

(35:55):
Mark said the Spirit came uponHim like a dove.
Mark said the spirit came uponhim like a dove.
Luke said the Holy ghostdescended like a dove and John
said the spirit came like a dove.
So they're all terms for thesame person.
So don't get bent out of shapeabout that.
We are regenerated, born againby the spirit of God.

(36:15):
What an amazing supernaturalaccomplishment.
Amen that we, peter said, become partakers of the divine
nature.
How does a human being become apartaker or a sharer to have in
common amen, a partaker of thedivine nature.
It comes by the regenerationand renewing of the holy ghost.

(36:40):
So the second thing in thisregard, and I'm done the holy
ghost does dwell within ourspirit at the moment of
salvation.
Don't get bent out of shapeagain.
I am not preaching Baptist orPresbyterian doctrine, amen.
I'm preaching Pentecostal,biblical doctrine.

(37:00):
We are born again because theSpirit of God births our spirit
and makes it alive again, and he, the Holy Ghost, dwells in that
renewed spirit so that we arepartakers of the divine nature.
Amen.
The law of the spirit hath madeus free from the law of sin and

(37:22):
death.
When does that happen?
When you're saved, amen.
The carnal mind is enmityagainst God and cannot be
subject to the law of God.
They that are in the fleshcannot please God.
But ye are not in the flesh.
If so, be that the Spirit ofGod dwells in you Now.

(37:43):
If any man have not the Spiritof Christ, he is none of his.
When do you receive the Spiritof Christ?
When you're born again,hallelujah.
I know this is rather deeptheology and I know it takes
some effort to process it, buthere are the facts those who are

(38:05):
unsaved are in the flesh andcannot please god.
When you're born again, thespirit of christ comes in and
dwells in your spirit and thespirit of god dwells within you
and christ is in you, by theSpirit of God, bringing life and
righteousness into your spirit.
There is also a baptism in theHoly Ghost, amen.

(38:28):
It is a distinct and separateand subsequent experience
whereby a Christian who'salready been saved Now they are
baptized in the Holy Ghost.
They are immersed completelyand they are filled with the
Spirit.
They are completely filled andendued, and others are going to
be preaching about that tomorrowAmen.

(38:51):
But no one should be afraid ofthe baptism of the Holy Ghost,
because when we encourage you toseek the fullness of the Spirit
, we're not asking you to invitesomething or someone foreign to
you into your life.
The Spirit of God is already inyour spirit.
All we're asking you to do isyield your entire vessel to the

(39:13):
fullness of the Spirit of God,amen.
That's why I wanted to make thatpoint here today, and I know
we've waited in some deep waters, but you young people need to
wait in some deep waters.
Amen.
You need to know what the Biblehas to say.
Amen.
You can't live a matureChristian life just on those
exciting Bible stories.
Amen.
You got to put these doctrinallandmarks in your life and have

(39:36):
a strong foundation that willendure.
Stand with me today.
The availability of salvation isuniversal, the appropriation of
salvation is individual and theaccomplishments of salvation
are supernatural, as you willdefinitely hear from Brother

(39:56):
Ralston.
Today, let's lift our hands andthank God.

the name of the lord and besaved.
Hallelujah, glory to god.
Thank you, lord, for your wordtoday.
I pray you'll help us to getthe foundation of salvation
properly set in our life so wecan build on it and be the

(40:39):
