Brother Evan Binkley delves into what the enemy's camp truly knows but tries to hide from believers through deceptive lies that attack our faith, victory, and purpose.

• The children of Israel fell into a cycle of deserting God, being delivered into enemy hands, and then being rescued by a judge
• Gideon was commissioned by God to deliver Israel with only 300 men against the vast Midianite army
• God instructed Gideon to visit the enemy's camp where he overheard a prophetic dream about their impending defeat
• The devil is aware of his ultimate destruction but uses deception to discourage believers
• Satan's first major lie: "You're not a Christian" - attempting to make believers doubt their salvation
• When saved, we should remember our experience with God rather than listening to accusations about past sins
• Satan's second lie: "You can't conquer" - designed to make Christians feel defeated in their spiritual battles
• Jesus experienced temptation and understands our struggles, making Him perfectly equipped to help us overcome
• Satan's third lie: "You can't fulfill your calling" - attempting to disqualify believers from serving God
• God can use people of any age or background when they allow Him to prepare and mold them
• The will of God will never take you where His grace cannot sustain you

If you're struggling with the enemy's lies, stand on God's Word and remember that the theme of the devil's dream is his own defeat.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Greetings from the great state of South Carolina.
This is Brother Isaac Cowan.
May God bless you as you listento God's Holy Word.
Thank you for tuning in toHoliness Preaching Online
Hallelujah, judges, chapter 7.

(00:37):
Praise the Lord.
If I get too long-winded,somebody just take your
God-given authority and sit medown.
But of course I'm alreadysitting down, so you can't
really do that.
So, praise the Lord.
Judges, chapter 7.

(00:59):
No, but seriously, if I get toolong, you tell me.
Judges, chapter 7 and versenumber 8.
So the people took victuals intheir hand and their trumpets
and they sent all the rest ofIsrael, every man, unto his tent
and retained those 300 men.
And the host of Midian wasbeneath him in the valley.

(01:20):
And it came to pass the samenight that the Lord said unto
him Notice that phrase.

(02:07):
The children of the east layalong in the valley like
grasshoppers for multitude, andtheir camels were without number
as the sand by the seaside formultitude.
And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that
told a dream unto his fellow andsaid behold, I dreamed a dream
and, lo, a cake of barley breadtumbled into the host of Midian
and and came into a tent andsmote it that it fell and

(02:27):
overturned it, that the tent layalong, and his fellow answered
and said this is nothing elsesave the sword of Gideon, the
son of Joash, the man of Israel, for into his hand hath God
delivered Midian and all thehost.
Amen, lord, in the name of Jesus.
I pray, lord, that you wouldanoint your word.

(02:48):
Thank you, lord, that your wordis anointed.
I pray, lord, that you wouldanoint me to speak a word from
you.
Lord, I pray, anoint thiscongregation to hear Lord,
encourage a heart, uplift asaint.
Bless Lord your people tonight, lord Minister, to this church,
in Jesus' name, and I give youglory in Jesus' name.

(03:09):
And everybody said Amen andAmen.
Praise the Lord, and look againat verse 11.
Thou shalt hear what they say, what they say For a few minutes
tonight.
I won't promise just threeminutes, but I'm going to preach

(03:31):
tonight on what the enemy'scamp really knows, what the
enemy's camp really knows.
So first let me give just alittle bit of background leading
up to our text.
There's a constant repeatingcycle of this book.
We find the children of Israeldeserting God and serving other

(03:53):
false gods and idols, and theydid evil and great wickedness in
the sight of the Lord, and Goddelivered them into the hand of
the enemy.
And then we know that God wouldraise up a judge, them into the
hand of the enemy.
And then we know that God wouldraise up a judge and he would
be greatly used by the Lord todeliver Israel from the hand of
the enemy.
We find in chapter six thatthey did evil in the sight of

(04:14):
the Lord and he delivered theminto the hand of Midian for
seven long years and they forcedthe Israelites into dens in the
mountains and caves andstrongholds.
And we read that the Israelitesfinally cried out unto the Lord
because of the Midianites.
And then a few verses later wesee there's a man by the name of

(04:36):
Gideon and it's threshing wheatand the Lord commissions Gideon
to deliver the Israelites.
And we see the first thingGideon did was to go by night
and cast down the altar of thefalse god and cut down the grove
that was beside it.
And then the next day we findthat the people so angry and
they're wanting to kill whoeverdid this.

(04:58):
And so we read later in chaptersix that Gideon, he sets out
the fleece of wool and askingGod hey, are you really going to
deliver us?
And so he puts out a fleecebefore the Lord, and then we
find God revealing truth to him.

(05:18):
Hey, I'm really with you, I'mgoing to fight your battles, I'm
going to give you the victory.
And you know, after God proveshim in one test, gideon wants to
do another test, and so he setsout the fleece again.
But then chapter 7 tells us thefamiliar story.

(05:39):
God tells Gideon that the menthat he has, the Lord is too
many.
The men that he has are toomany.
The Lord didn't want them tothink that they won the victory
through their own power andtheir own ability and strength.
The Lord commanded Gideon tosend all the fearful back home,

(06:03):
and there were still 10,000 leftafter that.
And God says that's still toomany.
So God brings them down to thewater, and you read that
everyone that lapped like a dogand then drinking the water.
And then God used 300 men tofight the Midianites.
So we read in our text that Godtold Gideon to get down to the

(06:26):
host, for he had delivered itinto their hand.
So notice verse 11 again.
Thou shalt hear what they sayand afterward thine hands shall
be strengthened to go unto thehost.
And we know really that whatthe enemy was talking about was
really a prophetic dream of theenemy's defeat, hallelujah.

(06:50):
Can I say that the theme of thedevil's dream is his defeat.
The theme of the devil's dreamis his defeat.
May I say that the devilunderstands his ultimate
destruction and defeat.
He is fully aware of whatawaits him when this thing is

(07:12):
all over with.
If we could hear the enemyspeaking tonight, brother
Sargent, I wonder what exactlythey would be saying.
Maybe they would say hey, weneed to hurry up and work fast,
because we know that our time isrunning short.
Our destruction is rapidlyapproaching.

(07:32):
Sometimes it's just good toremind the devil of his
destruction and his final amen, his final doom in a place called
hell.
Hallelujah, his finaldestruction, amen.
Even now, in this life, beforeJesus comes back, there are

(07:53):
things that the devil doesn'twant us to know.
The enemy won't tell us whatthey're really thinking and what
they're really discussing.
I can just hear a bunch ofdemons coming up to the devil
and saying oh, mr Devil, we'vegot a problem here.
Amen, we really have a problem.

(08:15):
There's some saints of Godthat's been fasting and praying
and it just feels like revivalis about to break out at their
church.
Some demon begins to tell thedevil man.
I thought we had their lovedones held captive, good enough,
but that grandmother, thatgrandfather, has been praying so

(08:35):
hard for them and we seem to belosing our grip and our hold in
their lives.
I thought that we had them forsure because of the addictions
amen, that was in their lives.
I thought that we had them forsure because of the addictions A
man that was in their lives.
I thought we had them bound up,good enough.
I thought them chains wereunbreakable.

(08:56):
I thought that nothing couldturn back the deception that was
in their mind and that nothingcould penetrate the darkness
that was in their heart and intheir life.
And then they say, devil, whatare we going to do?
We're losing a hold of theirsoul.
Can I encourage some saint ofGod tonight that there is

(09:23):
conversation going on in theenemy's camp tonight and they
don't want you to know whatthey're really talking about and
what they're really discussing.
Have you ever been aroundsomeone that was telling you
about a situation and somethingjust didn't seem right?

(09:45):
Maybe they were known assomebody that didn't tell the
truth all the time, or maybethey kind of exaggerated.
Maybe they exaggerated thetruth and when you left them.
You were saying I wonder whatthey really know.

(10:09):
I wonder what they really know.
James 2 and 19 says thoubelievest that there is one God.
Thou doest well, the devilsalso believe and tremble.
Amen.
The devil is not an honestperson.

(10:31):
John 8 44 says he was amurderer from the beginning and
a boat not in the truth, becausethere is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, hespeaketh of his own, for he is a
liar and the father of it,satan, was a liar and deceiver
all the way back in Adam andEve's day when he told Eve that

(10:54):
she wouldn't die if she ate theforbidden fruit.
Can I tell you, friend, thedevil will add to the truth.
He will take away from thetruth and he will water to the
truth.
He will take away from thetruth and he will water down the
truth, but he will never tellthe whole truth.
Nothing but the truth.
He will never tell all thetruth.

(11:14):
He'll never tell you what hereally knows.
Tonight, and I pray that theHoly Ghost will pull back some
lies and pull back somedeception that the enemy has
been telling some saints of Godin this church house tonight and
give you encouragement thatthere is hope for you, there is
victory for you, there is ananswer for your problem.

(11:38):
There is a solution for yourdilemma.
There is a way out tonight.
The devil is a liar.
Don't listen to his lies.
Tonight we can see all throughthe Bible where he's told lies
or he used somebody to tell alie.
If the devil cannot get you tofall directly from his

(11:59):
temptation, then another tacticthat he will use is a lie of
deception in hopes that you willgive up.
See my dad he's a very wise man, he says.
I've heard him say on multipleoccasions if the devil can't
push you one way, he'll push youanother way.

(12:24):
Way he may not be able to getyou hooked on drugs and get you
hooked on alcohol.
That may not even be atemptation to most of you but he
may try to sow a seed of doubtin your heart.
Did God say Hath?
God said oh, I know that Godsaid that he would bring you out

(12:51):
, but look how big this mountainis.
Look how lost your children are.
Look how big this financialneed is.
Look how big this mountain isand how large this valley is
you're walking through.
You'll never get through it andhe'll try to get you to doubt

(13:11):
God's word and give up on Godaltogether.
Amen.
But the first there's three liesthat the devil tells us that I
want to talk about real quicklyand I need to hurry Amen.
There's three lies that thedevil tells us that I want to
talk about real quickly and Ineed to hurry Amen.
There's three lies that thedevil tells us and I want you to
know that this is what theenemy's camp really knows.

(13:33):
There's some things that theenemy's camp really knows, but
there's three lies.
Let me let me be clear on that.
As a preacher, I got to beclear, clear, amen.
There's three lies that thedevil tells us.
Number one the first lie isyou're not a christian.
You're not a christian.
You know, brother, brother,young, correct?

(13:55):
Okay, I thought so.
Uh, you know when, when we waslost out in sin, did the devil
ever tell you that God couldn'tsave you?
Did the devil ever tell anybodythat he tells a lot of people
that you can't get saved whenyou're out in sin and you can't

(14:17):
come to the Father's home, youcan't get back in church, he'll
never forgive you.
And then, when you get savedand you pray and ask the Lord to
forgive you.
He'll tell you oh, you didn'treally get it, you didn't really
get saved, you didn't reallyget through.
God didn't save you, he didn'tforgive you.

(14:38):
Look at all the sins of yourpast and He'll name look at that
time you lied.
Look at that time you cheated.
Look at that time you stole.
Look at that time you cheated.
Look at that time you stole.
Look at this time that you didthis and you did that.
He'll put your list of sins inyour face and put shame in your
face and say, oh, you didn't getsaved.
The blood of Jesus didn'tcleanse you.

(15:00):
Oh, it was just nothing, youdidn't really get nothing.
There's some individuals thatcan't tell you the date that
they were born again.
They can't tell you the time ofday, or even the year, maybe.
But they can tell you about theexperience.
When the devil comes aroundtelling you, brother, that

(15:24):
you're not saved, just remindhim of the experience that you
had when the blood of Jesus, god's Son, washed away all your
sins.
Tell him what it felt like tohave your burden of sin rolled
away.
Remind the devil of the joythat you felt when the presence
of God flooded your soul, joythat you felt when the presence

(15:49):
of God flooded your soul, declaring to him that you know
that.
You know that.
You know that you're a child ofthe king.
I'm telling you, the devil is aliar, and that is one thing
that the enemy's camp reallyknows.
You're saved, you're ablood-bought, born again, child
of the king.
Tonight, 1 Corinthians 6 and 9says Know ye not that the

(16:09):
unrighteous shall not inheritthe kingdom of God.
Be not deceived neitherfornicators nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate norabusers of themselves with
mankind, nor thieves norcovetousness, nor drunkards, nor
revilers, nor extortionersshall inherit the kingdom of God
.
That's a long list.

(16:30):
That's a long list and there'sa lot.
You know we live in a worldfull of those sins.
You know it's everywhere youlook at.
There's those sins in our worldtoday.
But I'm glad we can stand up andsay there's hope in a dark

(16:51):
world of sin.
There's hope because it doesn'tleave you with that.
It says in such were some ofyou, but ye are washed, but you
are sanctified, but ye arejustified in the name of the
lord jesus and by the Spirit ofour God.
Thank God, we're not what weused to be.
The things that we used to doare in our past and God's given

(17:14):
us a brand new future.
Praise God when the devilreminds you of your past, of
your past.
Remind Him of His future.
Some of you need to stop.
Some of you need to get off ofthe defensive and get on the
offensive.
Some of you are allowing thedevil to get you, so bound down,

(17:40):
amen.
But we need to attack the deviland not just be on the
defensive mode but on theoffensive.
Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord, amen.
So the devil tells us first lie,we're not saved, you're not a
Christian.
But what does the enemy's campreally know?

(18:01):
It knows the truth of God'sWord, that we are a child of God
because we ask Jesus to comeinto our lives.
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
I need to hurry quickly.
Secondly, not only the secondlie, not only are you not a
Christian, he'll tell you you'renot a Christian, but secondly,

(18:22):
he'll tell you you can't conqueror you can't overcome.
Sometimes it seems like alosing battle when the devil
sends one attack after another.
But, brother Young, the truthis we're not defeated if we're

(18:44):
letting the Lord lead our life.
Satan's temptations can beresisted by staying alert, being
sober and ready for his attacks.
They can be conquered throughprayer and relying on God's
faithfulness 2 Thessalonians 3and 3,.
But the Lord is faithful.

(19:04):
Who shall establish you andkeep you from evil?
I'm glad that God can save usand keep us.
We need to remember that we havea high priest in Jesus Christ
Hebrews 4 and 14,.
Seeing, then, that we have agreat high priest that is passed
into the heavens, jesus the Sonof God, let us hold fast our

(19:26):
profession, for we have not ahigh priest that has passed into
the heavens, jesus the Son ofGod.
Let us hold fast our profession, for we have not a high priest
which cannot be touched with thefeeling of our infirmity but
was in all points tempted, likeas we are, yet without sin, for
in that he himself has suffered, being tempted, he is able to
secure them that are tempted.
Can I tell you that Jesus hasfelt what we feel.

(19:47):
He understands our temptationsand the things that we battle,
the things that we deal with, and he's more than able to help
us to conquer.
I'm thankful Jesus Christ, whohas been victorious over
temptation.
He's been victorious, therefore, we can triumph over every

(20:08):
temptation, every battle of thedevil.
Praise God.
These verses tell us that Jesusknows what we're facing, he
knows how we feel, and he knowshow to help us win the fight.
Hallelujah If you've messed up.
If you've fallen the fight.
Hallelujah If you've messed up,if you've fallen.
I want to encourage you, friend, get back up.

(20:29):
Get back up.
The devil would love for you tostay on the ground.
But Micah 7 and 8 says Rejoice, not against me, o mine enemy.
When I fall, I shall arise,hallelujah.
The good news is you can getback up again.
You're not without hope.
We serve a merciful god whospecializes in second chances.

(20:53):
You can get up and become aconqueror through jesus christ.
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
The lord helped many individualsin the Bible to defeat their
physical enemy.
David conquered Goliath.
Shammah defended his bean patch.
The devil wants to come in andsteal our spiritual bean patch.

(21:17):
He wants to take what God hasgiven to us, even what we
receive in this service tonight.
But let me tell you, brother, that victory is guaranteed for
the Christian who is faithful tofight the good fight of faith.
Don't listen to the enemy'slies.
There are some things that theenemy's camp really knows.

(21:39):
You can become a conquerorthrough Jesus Christ, hallelujah
, oh.
God has given us weapons thatare not carnal but are mighty.
Through God, to the pullingdown of strongholds.
If we put on the whole armor ofGod, then we will be able to
withstand the wiles, or, inother words, the tricks of the

(22:01):
devil.
Amen.
You might say tonight that youfeel the enemy is too great and
too mighty.
You feel like you're surroundedand you don't see a way of
escape.
But can I tell you that Gideonhad only 300 men and the Lord
defeated the enemy for them.
And these 300 men were upagainst a great multitude, but

(22:22):
the enemy was like grasshoppersbecause of number.
Amen, there were so many.
But when it seems like the oddsare stacked against us, we must
remember that greater is hethat is in us than he that is in
this world.
Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
I heard a preacher talking aboutone of David's mighty men,

(22:44):
benaiah, who went down into thepit and slew a lion.
Pray for my voice.
I'm losing it tonight.
Amen, down into a pit and slewa lion.
He said that there was.
This preacher said that therewas only one of them that was
coming out alive.
Can I tell you, brother andsister, we're in a battle with

(23:08):
the devil and there's only oneof us that's coming out alive.
But I'm glad to know tonightthat we don't have to die, but
we can live and make it all theway to glory one of these days.
I mean, god is still on ourside.
He's never lost a battle and Iknow he will get us out of this

(23:30):
alive, but the key is to rely onHim.
Ronald Reagan said we are neverdefeated unless we give up on
God.
We are never defeated unless wegive up on God.
Romans 8, 37, they and allthese things, we are more than

(23:50):
conquerors.
Through him that loved us, Iwant to encourage you tonight.
You are more than a conquerorand that's something that the
enemy's camp really, reallyknows.
Hallelujah, amen.
I'm coming to my last point, thethird point.
Tonight, the devil lies to us.

(24:12):
He tells us well, you're notsaved, you're not a Christian.
Then He'll tell us you can'tconquer, you can't overcome, you
can't be a victorious Christian.
But then, thirdly, he'll tellus you can't fulfill your
calling.
You can't fulfill your calling.

(24:33):
We're in a time where God iscalling many, many individuals
for His service and to labor inthe harvest field.
And may I say that you may notever have a platform ministry,
but there is a ministry withyour name on it.
There is something for you todo.

(25:00):
Oh, but I'm not up therepreaching, so therefore I can't
do anything for the Lord.
That's what a lot of people sayoh, I'm not the Sunday school
teacher.
Oh, I'm not the song leader,I'm not up there playing the
bass.
I'm not playing the drums.
I'm not in the spotlight, so Ican't do anything for the bass.

(25:21):
I'm not playing the drums, I'mnot in the spotlight, so I can't
do anything for the Lord.
But there is a call for eachand every one of us to do a work
in God's harvest field Amen.
God is raising up an army ofsoldiers and workers that will

(25:42):
be faithful in working for him.
There's a group that he'sraising up that will see revival
in these last days.
They will see great and mightythings happen by the power of
god, and the devil will tell youthat God can never use you.

(26:03):
He'll start pointing outreasons, amen, why the Lord
couldn't use you.
Amen.
Yes, there's things in our lifethat God has to work on us, but
who doesn't need the Lord towork on them?
Amen, amen.
God has to work on us and makeus what we need to be, and maybe
he needs to work on us a littlebit before we're able to do the

(26:26):
specific calling that he'splaced on our lives, but I'm
glad that God can work on us andget us to that place that we
can be a vessel under honor.
God had some work to do onMoses, but he was eventually
able to use him as an instrumentto deliver the children of

(26:48):
Israel from Egypt's bondage.
Amen.
When God, who is the potter, begins to work on the clay which
is us, he begins to knock offthe rough edges and mold us more
into His image.
When we allow Him to work on us, we will become someone that
God can use for His kingdom.

(27:10):
2 Timothy 2 and 21,.
If a man therefore purgehimself from these, he shall be
a vessel unto honor, sanctifiedin meat for the master's use and
prepared unto every good work.
God has to prepare us sometimes, sometimes we, sometimes we

(27:31):
just want to jump into something.
God says hey, hey son, heydaughter, I need, I need to work
on some things, amen.
But if we'll allow God to workon us, oh, the work that we can
do for the Lord in our lives.
Hallelujah, amen.

(27:52):
And I know there's some youngpeople here tonight.
I want to encourage you, youngpeople.
Sometimes you feel like, well,my age, I'm too young to work
for the Lord.
But listen, friend, your agehas nothing to do with it.
Your age has nothing to do withworking for God.
There may be certain thingsthat we can't obviously do until

(28:19):
we get a little bit older, butthere are many, many areas in
which you can serve God and youcan work for the Lord, amen.
Gideon was a young man when Godcommissioned him to deliver
Israel.
David was a young person whenGod started to work through him.
Samuel was a young person whenGod started to work through him.

(28:39):
Samuel was a young person whenGod began to speak to him.
God can use even young peopleto do a work for God, and that's
what the enemy's camp really, really knows.
Amen.
I'm getting ready to close ifsomebody wants to get us a song
Amen.
Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 4and 12, let no man despise thy

(29:02):
youth, but be thou an example ofthe believer, in word, in
conversation, in charity, inspirit, in faith, in purity.
Oh, we desperately need youngpeople, amen, who will be a
godly example of what aChristian should be like.
The world is watching you andthey need to see somebody that

(29:25):
is dedicated, that is living howGod intends you to live.
Let the light of the gloriousgospel shine out in a dark world
where they can see Jesus in you, amen.
I want to close with this.
I read something several yearsago.
It said the will of God willnot take you where the grace of

(29:54):
God cannot keep you, where thearms of God cannot support you,
where the riches of God cannotsupport you, where the riches of
God cannot supply your needs, where the power of God cannot
endow you.
The will of God will not takeyou where the Spirit of God
cannot work through you, wherethe wisdom of God cannot teach
you, where the armies of Godcannot protect you and where the

(30:17):
hands of God cannot mold you.
The will of God will not takeyou where the love of God cannot
mold you.
The will of God will not takeyou when the love of God cannot
enfold and embrace you, wherethe mercies of God cannot
sustain you, where the peace ofGod cannot calm your fears and
where the authority of Godcannot overrule for you.
The will of God will never takeyou when the comfort of God

(30:39):
cannot dry your tears, where theword of God cannot feed you.
The will of God will never takeyou, where the comfort of God
cannot dry your tears, where theword of God cannot feed you and
where the miracles of Godcannot be done for you and where
the omnipresence of God cannotfind you.
May I encourage some saint ofGod today that the Lord will be
everything that you need Him tobe.

(31:00):
Just step out in faith and dowhat he has called and
commissioned for you to do.
Don't listen to the lies of theenemy, because the enemy's camp
really knows that you're achild of the King, that you're a
conquering child of the Kingand that God has a special
calling on your life.

(31:22):
Hallelujah, praise God.
Oh, can we raise our hands andworship God tonight?
