Speaker 1 (00:18):
We walk amongst ghosts every day, be it sights of
war and strife, are poverty and horror. The twisting, snaking
paths are beautiful but candid us to some things undiscovered
and terrifying. From the Mississippi Delta to the jungles of
the far East, the dead demand to be acknowledged.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
This is what we do here.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Welcome to the House of Asher.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
And hello everybody. This is your host, Steve Asher. And
I hope you guys are doing well. I hope your
day is been productive or hopefully at least not super stressful.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I know that.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
People do get caught up in the every day rigamarole
tug of war that is making it through modern society,
you know. But something that always fascinated me is that,
you know, it seems like, you know, we have miracles

(01:30):
and things like that happen around us every day, and
just sometimes we're so busy we got our face buried
in our phones or a computer. I'm certainly guilty of
that myself. Just to stop and appreciate or at least
acknowledge that sometimes that it seems like there's outside energy.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Looking out force.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Sometimes there's seemingly outside energy that's not voting very well
for us.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Almost seems like.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Almost like you got a little bit of a curse
on you or something like that. But I hope this
podcast comes to you in a good time, and hopefully
I hope he doesn't. You don't feel that this is
a curse. I should probably shout out, of course, to iHeart, Spotify, Spreaker,
all the places that will carry this podcast.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
And been kind enough to put me out there.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Not to mention some of you guys are probably listening
to this on YouTube, and if you like it, please
like and subscribe, leave some comments. I always appreciate hearing
it from folks. And I've been talking to some people
about outside influence, good and bad.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Well, you it depends on your circles.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
If you're secular, maybe not as much, but especially if
you have family. I don't growing up in kind of
a Southern Baptist tradition, you would always hear, well, so
and so was working out there.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
On their tractor or something like that.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Well whatever, for whatever reason, something told them take a break,
leave alone. Well they come back out there and I
don't know, spring popped off of it or something crazy.
Something other would have set a piece of metal right
through now coincidence possibly introduce story, definitely, But you hear

(03:46):
about this in the city too. You hear about this
in bigger area. Someone stepping out in the middle of a.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Crosswalk.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
It's you know, it's where they're supposed to be walking. Well, unfortunately,
somebody's breaks went out just and that an ambulance or
something I don't know come buzzing down and they just
weren't aware. At the last moment of force pushes them back,
snatches them back, or they go to walk across the way,

(04:16):
their legs are like their feet are frozen to the ground.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
They can't move.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Sometimes people even hear a voice that says step back, you.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Know, or don't take another step, duck shies by whatever.
I don't know what they're gonna.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Say, but it's definitely has enough commanding conviction and the
way they say it that they abide and they listen
and they stop.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Now that being.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Said, let's take a look at sort of the next
are the opposite side of that. If I can play
Devil's advocate, pardon the punt. What about those people that said, well, John,
what did you decide to un alive and dismember your

(05:18):
whole family? Well I heard a voice. Now, What's what's
crazy is sometimes folks that go, well, God told me
I needed to do this, Okay, not meaning God, I
don't want to follow. But then you have some guys

(05:39):
like Son of Sam, which some people said they use
that as an insanity defense. But you will have someone go, well,
why did you set all those fires? Well, I was
told I had to be it, you know, to avoid

(06:01):
some retribution. If you don't do this, you'll be dead
in three days. If you don't do this, your whole
family die in a house fire or something off the wall,
like you.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
But there's also those some people.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
To go I want to be rich, I want to
have power. I want to have a nicer hairline or
a longer.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
End scene, if you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
And they make kind of a Fastian deal. They hear
or believe that some sort of bargain was struck. But
to do this, there's a pound of flesh that's required,
some sacrifice, some act to show.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
You are willing to give a little to get a little.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I mean, that's true in a lot of things, but
it seems a lot of times and more negative entity
or demonic powers that seems to be pretty true.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Now.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I think everybody's if they haven't vocalized it, we go.
I have been banging my head against getting this promotion
for whatever. I've been working so hard, putting all these
extra hours. I am doing so much work. Man, I
want this new business I open to do, will.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
You know?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
And maybe just for a fleeting second, that individual go,
you know what, I would sell my soul at this
point to know that my business does well, that my family's.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Taken care of.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I would do whatever, pretty much anything I'd have to do,
you know. And sometimes you might be in fighting something
in good bad are indifferent, and of course this touches
on your belief system.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
But there are still a lot of people that believe.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
In angelic beans, a lot of people that believe in
demonic beings. And you know, there are grimories, you know,
which is Bible's spell books, whatever you wanna call them,
that are filled with these sort of concepts of let's
make a deal with the devil or with whatever entity, whatever, God,

(08:37):
whatever goddess. It just it seems like it never turns
out anywhere near as.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Good as.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
You know the sales pitches and rarely few things are
what's the other expression, if it looks too good to
be true, it probably isn't. But you know, with the
angel thing, I don't know. I wonder, and I'm sure
there are people that have been saved or got good

(09:07):
fortune and they're like, well, okay, well you're going to
have to do some sort of actor contrition or maybe
just a the equivalent of a thank you so much
for for your help kind of act, which I mean,

(09:28):
if you're blessed and have good fortune, I think you
should help people, not under fear of any sort of retribution,
but just that's the right thing to do. Man, be
a good, solid person.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
You know.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
I believe if you can help somebody, do it not
out of belief that you're going to get some great reward.
I think helping people.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Is your great reward.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
But if you have any comments, ideas, beliefs, disbelieves, good
angel food, cake recipes, whatever, make sure to leave those

Enjoy that day, get a little sunshine on your face,
enjoy the best of the last days of summer, and.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
But as a sun sets behind the pines and the
shadows grow long, make sure to secure your doors and windows,
batten down the shutters, keep an eye out in your closet,
under your bed, and down the hallway.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
You never know. There might be a.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Beautifully winged a jelly.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Bean there for a blessing, or there may.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Be a leathery wing beast.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Just itching to make you a deal.

But don't be afraid, because there's knowledge and learning. So
as always, my dear listeners, in the future, please

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Try and stay scared.
