Speaker 1 (00:14):
We walk a mongst ghosts every day, be it sights
of war and strife, are poverty and horror. The twisting,
snaking paths are beautiful but can lead us to some
things undiscovered and terrifying. From the Mississippi Delta to the
jungles of the Far East, the dead demand to be acknowledged.

(00:38):
This is what we do here. Welcome to the House
of Asher.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Indeed, beloved listener. Hello, this is your host, Steve Asher,
and welcome to the House of Asher. I appreciate you
along on this journey and I hope you find something
entertaining and hopefully endearing from my little rag tag multi
crew of a show. I want to thank you guys,
especially those that might be listening on Spotify. iHeart Speaker

(01:14):
a multitude of different podcasts carriers as always. Thank you again,
and I love the fact that you guys do interact.
You really do talk about different things and ask questions
and a lot of how I have insight that I
don't have, which you know, is the way a researcher

(01:36):
should be. You know, you should always be open to
outside stimula and things that challenge conviction, convention and challenge
some of your own convictions, excuse me. So I've been
very lucky to have that. I had had a listener
out of Fairbanks, Alaska, of all places, which makes me

(01:58):
think of, oh what was the name of the little town?
Oh god, it was during It was a movie, Thirty
Days of Night. It was probably my favorite vampire movie
because I think it really latches on to the true deviant,
analystic quality of vampires. They don't sparkle, They're not this
and that. I mean, if you dig it, that's fine.

(02:19):
But for me, vampires are these revenant, feasting land sharks.
You know, they're just here to kill and and propagate.
That's kind of kind of their bag. But I should
have probably also mentioned that you can also check this

(02:41):
out on YouTube under House of Asher. You can find
it Steve Asher Media on Facebook, also on let me
see Instagram and all those different ones you know x

(03:03):
and at my home web page, which is my name.
It's all lowercasing together Steve Asher dot Studio again at
Steve asher dot Studio or just google Steve ash Er
Stevie Asher and it bring you to all my books
and whatnot. But anyway, enough about me. The subject that

(03:23):
was brought to me, which studying spiritualism and the height
of spiritualistic mediums, especially in the times when guys like
dan Aykroyd's grandfather was, you know, hosting these different societies

(03:46):
and whatnot. And this sort of ties in with the
time of even a local celebrity which you know, went
on to be world famous, Edgar Casey. You know, say
what you want to about if these things are true
or not. It's compelling and some of the things that
he discovered still holds a very strong foothold in homeopathic medicine.

(04:11):
So take it for what it is. But I was
talking about spirit art in spirit guided experimental techniques. Spirit
art I'm kind of familiar with. I know that you

(04:35):
can have different influences. People will talk about. There were
people I'm trying to remember. I believe it was Nikola
Tesla that had mentioned that a lot of what he
come up with wasn't his own, it was from an
outside influence and energy. Some would say, well, that's aliens. Okay,
maybe maybe it is aliens. I don't know, but it

(04:58):
was definitely some thing unearthly, be it the realm, be
it the physicality, you know, something adjacent to our world.
I don't know. I truly believe that we have things
that wall side beside us, just in a slight different
vibrational plane, and that's why we see different things. You know,

(05:22):
as far as I know, we could be ghosts to
another culture, some other civilization somewhere. But what you got
to understand is even a lot of the Western spiritual subcultures,
you know, the spirit medium is highly regarded in their

(05:44):
ability to harness spirit communication and even spirit healing techniques. Okay,
this this ties in with all kinds of different stuff
now like today. Of course, there's different type of practices
that deal with you know, Greek kue and chakras and
all this different kind of stuff, but there are some

(06:07):
that tie in with spirit art. Now. I've heard of
people that have written books. I've heard of people that
have done music and come up with pieces of art
and spoken word, just all kinds of various arts that

(06:30):
they said were more or less dictated to them. I've
heard a lot of people talk about they went to bed.
I'm as guilty of this as anybody going to bed
having a very very lucid dream. You know, it's a
lucid dream and you're remembering all this and you wake
up with either an answer to a question that you

(06:52):
went to bed with or something completely left field, like
it's obviously not from you. And I think this is
something we all have and I believe you know, if
you are an open participant and willing to deal with

(07:13):
you know, the heighten emotions and all the different experiences
that come with that, the sensory uh, the the the
emotional elements to it, the connection to whatever or whomever
is outside of your body. I'm not saying to go
do this because I mean it. It's kind of like

(07:35):
low key possession, honestly, But when you have these intrusive
or they have been called nomad thoughts, you know they're
not from you. They're a standalone whatever. But this is
where you can touch into the ether as I call it,

(07:59):
and pull down something kind of interesting. There was one
thing I was gonna mention, and this goes way back.
I'm talking like spiritualist tables where people are seemingly producing
actoplasm or whatever. Obviously, there's been a lot of talk about,

(08:22):
you know, well people swallow gauze and this and that
and do all this kind of well kind of wonky
Charloattan stuff. You know, they've included having what they call
a spirit horn, which supposedly would produce sounds, squeals, sometimes

(08:47):
even syllables, sometimes discordant music. Some people said it would
sound like angelic choruses. Some people said it would sound
like the screams of Hell. It just depends on what
you've opened up yourself too, so you know, it's trippy.

(09:08):
But I have seen what appears to be artwork that
would touch on what it would be like walking into
an astral plane, or what it would be like on
some sort of out of body experience going through some
sort of portal. I don't know what to say about it.

(09:33):
I don't know, really, I really I have my ideas
about stuff like that, but I think that I think
at the end of the day, you know, this is
something you have to kind of weigh, weigh against your
heart and see what you believe. I do know that

(10:00):
there's a lot of people who use this type of
thing that will draw a loved one or draw somebody
who's missed somebody and somebody will you know, contact somebody
and go, oh, that's my cousin James. He's been missing
for ten years, and you know, and sometimes unfortunately though

(10:23):
to tell him will look, he's you're going to find him,
but he's not with us anymore. You're going to find
him whatever, in a shallow grave somewhere, which for me
that would be hellish. I don't want to be the
guy that's coming to tell families all this. But there
really is a use for this, And call it what

(10:48):
you want, but I think that when used properly and
with a modicum of skepticism and definitely a reverence for
some of the elements that you're that you're gonna be

(11:08):
handing out to people, it can be a useful tool.
And I think it's should be welcomed with guarded optimism.
I hope as maybe we open up more and we
allow ourselves to connect with our own inner monologues.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
You know.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
I think this type of stuff like spirit communication, spirit art,
spirit book, what are you gonna call it? Books and
music and pieces of artwork and plays and stuff. I mean,
I've heard of people supposedly channeling Shakespeare, you know, and
if nothing more, it's damn compelling, you know. For me,

(11:57):
it's a it's the sort of thing, this is the
sort of thing that keeps me coming back to studying
this because as time and society changes, and the more
a's of a civilization grow more degrade whatever. You can
really see it in the artwork, and you can also

(12:18):
see it even in something seemingly out of body, out
of mind. So with that, please leave comments, Please leave
more suggestions. I love hearing from people I didn't know
people in Fairbanks even listened to what I did. That's incredible,

(12:41):
that's a real blessing. But make sure to, like I said,
leave a comment your likes, and please subscribe and contact
your friends about it. I really would appreciate it. But
with that being said, I want you to enjoy your
day out there, my friends. Get up there and get

(13:01):
some sun on your face. We're going in the fall,
so we're not going to have that many really really
nice warm days. But go out there, make friends, make
good memories, enjoy yourself. But as the sun sets behind
the pines and the shadows grow long, make sure to
look inward. Listen to that quiet little voice inside of you.

(13:29):
Maybe it's something from beyond trying to give you a
little heads up. Always study with a discerning eye, but
don't be afraid, because there's learning and fear. So as always,

(13:50):
my dear dear listeners stay scared.
