Speaker 1 (00:02):
This is Hungry Gen podcast, and I just want to
thank you for joining us today here at HG. Our
vision is to see thousands say locally and millions globally.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
We hope you enjoyed this week's message. I grew up
in a Pentecostal family, and our church as of today,
we are and always have been in the assemblies of God.
At the young age, the baptism of the Holy Spirit
and the spiritual activity within the church was introduced to me.
I grew up in the church where on fire prayers
were like forty minutes, no instruments on the stage. You

(00:33):
were on your knees, yelling on the top of the lungs,
and people were just getting really, really really touched by
the Holy Spirit. There was a gift of prophecy that
was flowing regularly, and the gift of interpretation of tongues
where somebody would grab a microphone and during prayer starts
intrepreting tongues. So the spiritual activity Holy Spirit, I was
not a stranger to it. When we came to the

(00:55):
United States. Our pastor, Pastor Vasili, who founded this church,
and he started to pour into us a vision like
Pastor Zach was doing to these young people today. He
would look at us, we were thirteen fourteen years of age,
and he would speak and prophesy into our life and
say that God will use you guys. In fact, I
met a gentleman who was in one of the services

(01:16):
twenty years ago where our pastor went on this holy
ghost rant on the stage and just like start unloading
prophetic words and us. And we started there petrified because
we were embarrassed or scared, and he would just go
at it. God will use you, God will puote out
his spirit. So we started to preach at a very
young age. The call of God came a bit later,

(01:38):
and our pastor noticed that preaching is one thing, but
we all need to get the gift of tongues. We
need to get baptists in the Holy Spirit. And I
was always nervous about those services and those meetings where
we will pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
And because among my cousins and the rest of the crew,
and I'll just submit to you, I felt a little
bit hum superior spirit. I felt like I did less

(02:02):
since than they did. I wasn't like the pharisee who
said I did better. I just felt like I did
less bad. So I was like, God is about to
show who his true servant is by baptizing me in
the Holy Ghost first. So we gathered all together, everybody
got on their knees, and Pastor gave us instruction. All

(02:23):
of our parents came start laying hands, and all of
the rest of my cousins and the rest of my
friends start speaking in tongues like with a switch and turn.
And then I just it just didn't happen. It took
me six months. God was humbling and saying hey. And
this is what I've learned about the Holy Spirit from

(02:43):
that day is this Holy Spirit is not given to
those who think they deserve him. Nobody deserves the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit is given to the hungry and to the humble.
If you're willing to be humble, and if you're willing
to be hungry, you will receive not only the baptism,
but the fresh touch and the feeling of the Holy Spirit.

(03:03):
And I remember on Saturday two PM at the balcony
of the duplex that my parents were renting. Because I
would cry out every day, God give me Holy Spirit.
My theology was not up to date. I thought tongues,
and the Holy Spirit was the same thing. If you
got the tongues, you got the Holy Spirit. So at
two PM, I felt something like a river gushing out

(03:23):
of inside of my belly, and few syllables just slipped
out on accident, out of my mouth. I quickly called
our pastor and I said, this is happening to me,
and he says, go back into the room and keep
on praying. That's the Holy Spirit speaking to you. Keep
us speaking in tongues. And that day I received what
we call today the gift of tongues. But I didn't

(03:44):
know the Holy Spirit like I know him today. In
my mind, the Holy Spirit was still bit of a
mystical figure. In my mind, Holy Spirit was still a
bit of a kind of a you know, Jesus. You
watch Chosen Right, you watch Passion of the Christ if
you would allow to. It's olerated movie, but you kind
of see a Jewish man God, the Father. You know,

(04:07):
is you have a dad or you know a dad.
Somebody has a dad. But when it comes to the
Holy Ghost, I like, I don't talk to ghosts. I'm
a normal human being. I don't have relationship with ghosts.
I just don't don't don't do that. So here is
this mysterious being. Some people fall under the power. They

(04:27):
say the Holy Ghost. Other people burst out in tongues,
they say the Holy Ghost. And I'm like, I'm not
really like that. I've had people push me. I've had
people I did a courtesy fall just so that the
preacher continues to feel that they're anointed, and but to
really be like zap with the power where they fall
six hours in the translaying and see angels didn't see.

(04:48):
I saw the lights, and I saw the smoke machine.
But I was like, so when it came to the
Holy Spirit, I'll be honest with you. I struggled until
I met my wife. And I remember my wife would
talk about services and experience in services in this term.
She will say, and the Holy Spirit touched me. When
I would talk about services, I would say, and God's
presence was there. In my mind, everything was always bundled

(05:11):
in the general terms God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, God fire, presence, tinging.
All of that was always under one umbrella. Holy Spirit
was not a distinct person I knew, relied on, had
a relationship with, and pursued intimately. Yes, when I would

(05:33):
hear the sermon and the Holy Spirit. Oh yeah, yeah,
that's right. I have the Holy Ghost. But I say
hi to him tomorrow and then by Tuesday I will
forget that he lives inside of me. Being in youth
ministry for fourteen years, we've experienced some hardships. First ten
years didn't experience the breakthrough. And I'm gonna share my
version of the story of what happened at Hungary Jen.

(05:54):
That's not a complete version. There was a lot of
layers to it. But my portion and my version was this,
is that a time came where being desperate for revival,
being desperate, and when I say revival, I am not
talking about five hour meetings, us laying on the floor
and just trying to spend more time with Jesus. My

(06:15):
pastor taught me really well. A revival where people don't
get saved is not revival. A revival when the drug
addict doesn't get delivered is not revival. A revival when
the demonized person does not get delivered from demons is
not revival. And what the cry on my heart was
is the Lord. I want to see every service somebody

(06:37):
giving the life to Jesus. We would go for six
to seven months without seeing one soul being saved. One
time we went for a year and a half without
having water baptism, and it didn't see it right with me.
I was a youth pastor, and I knew there was
something missing. Yes, I spoke in tongues. Yes, I'm ordained
and credentialed with the Assembly is a God. Yes, I

(06:57):
read every book on the Holy Spirit and did a
sermon series on the Holy Spirit. But something is missing
in my life. If we go for a year and
a half and we have now water baptized somebody, and
we go for six months and it's only my cousin,
it's getting saved for this forty seventh time they got saved.
And my flight to California, Sacramento, a desperation started to

(07:21):
boil up and side. And know I wasn't desperate for power.
I wasn't desperate necessarily for miracles. As much as I
wanted to shift in our youth group, I wanted to
shift in our church, and so I felt this impression
in my heart to take our savings. At the time,
it was a lot of savings. It took us a
long time to save that and then to fly to
a different country, and there was a guy that the

(07:42):
Lord used powerfully at the time, who saw up to
five six hundred people getting saved every Sunday. Demons were
coming out, cancer healings were being healed. It was it
was a move of God in that nation. And my
pastor would always call me and tell me, you need
to watch this guy. And I say, I don't like him.
He doesn't have three point sermons. I can't take notes
of his perman skill. Rambles and rambles and rambles and rambles,

(08:04):
and and I need like I need, I need like outline.
But I'm an obedient servant. So I told my pastor
I will commit every day watching one sermon from this guy.
Why why is that important? Because if what you watch
and what you feed on will determine what you're gonna
have a hunger for the reason why many people don't

(08:25):
have hunger for the supernatural is because you keep listening
to theologians that deny the supernatural. You keep listening to
preachers that deny the miracles, that mock deliverance, that mock healings,
that mock those things. And that's why people in those
churches never manifest, never get healed, it's not because they
don't have problems. It's the silent list suffer. So a

(08:47):
hunger rose up in my heart. I told my wife
about it. We decided to fly to that different country
and we went and we offered this sacrifice. This sacrifice
meant everything for us. It was like dying million deaths.
This wasn't an offering, was death. And I came there
and I said, wish you pray for me, and he
prayed for me. It was a minute and twenty four
second prayer. Because I recorded it, I thought I'll hear

(09:09):
angels sing. I thought I'll fall, feel fired heat or something.
I felt nothing. I was disappointed. I was like, I
literally just gave my life for a minute, twenty four
second prayer. He prayed, and he prayed for importation. I

(09:30):
felt nothing. He said something to me at the end
after the prayer. He said, you need to meet the
Holy Spirit. And I'm about twenty six or twenty seven.
In the back of my head, I'm offended.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
I said, bro, I'm an agy pastor, I know the
Holy Ghost, not a Baptist, and I love Baptists.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
By the way, if you're a Baptist, well love you.
I'm not a John mccarthur. This and if you are,
we love you. I said, I speak in tongues. I
believe in miracles. What do you mean I need to
meet the Holy Spirit. I didn't tell him that because
he was older. I was younger, and I kept my
thoughts to myself. I went back home. We started to

(10:16):
with my wife, for the first time in our life,
live Christian faith in a radical, almost reckless way. We
started to give our savings away for twelve months. We
made a commitment for twelve months. We didn't have kids.
We said, for twelve months, we're gonna give all our
savings away. We're gonna believe for revival in our life

(10:38):
and revival in our ministry. First four months, nothing happened
except financial problems, big financial problems. I've never had financial problems.
My dad raised me well. Dave Ramsey raised me well,
and so I was an envelopes guy, no dad, no
credit card stuff. And now I have financial problems. I

(10:59):
don't these salvations in the church for which I sold deceit.
But what I started to do in my secret place
is I started to ask Jesus. I said, Jesus, you
said to your followers that you will pray the Father
to send the Spirit. I believe the Spirit came, but
could you introduce me to the Holy Spirit. This pastor said,

(11:21):
I need to meet the Holy Spirit. I think I
know him. But if I know him, I can't explain
why there is spiritual dryness in my life. If I
know the Holy Spirit, I can't explain why there's no
fruit in the ministry. Because the Holy Spirit, when he comes,
people get saved when the Holy Spirit comes. Demons come
out when the Holy Spirit comes. There is supernatural that comes.

(11:46):
When the Holy Spirit comes, there is fruit that comes.
So I'm gonna humble myself Jesus, because I don't see
the fruit of the Holy Spirit in my life or
in my ministry. I don't have anything in my life.
I cannot explain. Everything is through the wisdom of man.
It is through the strength of my own arm. Jesus.

(12:09):
I want to know the Holy Spirit. That's all I prayed.
I wish I would have a craziest adding story where
the turbine wind came into the room. Nothing like that happened.
I'm an average guy. I'm a normal person. Now other
people are super amazing that I want to be like them.
I'm not like them, but I'm gonna tell you. The

(12:30):
next four months, the Holy Spirit became real. He wasn't
just some cloud, a wind, a tingling, feeling, an oil
as speaking in tongues, as sensation and it seals the
go through your spine. He became real. As real as
you are looking at me and I am looking at you,

(12:50):
I would feel the distinct presence of the Holy Spirit,
from the presence of Jesus, because these are three different
persons of the Trinity. And he became real. Eight of
the ministry no longer fell on my shoulders. Holy Spirit
became the senior partner of my ministry. Because the Holy
Spirit is the senior pastor of Hungry Generation Church. I'm

(13:12):
just a sub pastor. We are just servant leaders. The
Holy Ghost is the pastor of the church. Four months later,
a young man named Lewis, who is still in this
room right now, comes and because my cousin, David, our
pastor's son, evangelized to him in the sauna and almost

(13:36):
killed him in the sauna. By and those of you
who met David, he's a lot more domesticated now. But
in the earlier days, when David starts sharing his testimony.
You're not leaving until he's done, and he takes thirty minutes.
And David walked into a sauna in the gym and
Louis was sitting there. Lewis is now my married to

(13:57):
my cousin, and David came to Louis and started to like,
it's almost like a verbal diarrhea. Just just opened his mouth,
the Lord filled it. And Louis is sitting there, just
dying out of that heat, and David's just not stopping.
A few months later, Lewis comes to David and says, hey,
you talk to me in that sauna. And Louis comes

(14:18):
to church and I remember I have the images I'm speaking.
I see that image of about thirty of us youth.
And then there's this guy, you know how, you know,
the new person who is not like doesn't know how
to behave in the church. Everybody else know how to
go with the act, and Louis didn't. He grew up Catholic.
And when I give a cul to starvation, I didn't
give a cul to So I gave it to cult

(14:39):
to starvation for Louis. Louis rose his hand that night.
Louis gave his life to Jesus. Louis worked at Chicos Tacos,
so next week he brought his coworkers from Chicos Tacos.
Next week, somebody else gave their life to Jesus. The
week after that, somebody else gave their life to Jesus.
The week after that, somebody else gave their life to Jesus.
And I would stand here today before the Lord to

(15:00):
tell you that since that time, I can count on
one hand how many weeks we've had at Hungry jan
where somebody did not give their life to Jesus. The
Holy Spirit is still the cause of revival. The Holy
Spirit is still the senior partner of our life and
in our ministry. If you are a pastor here today,
I want to tell you the Holy Spirit called you.
The Holy Spirit wants to annoy into you, and the

(15:22):
Holy Spirit wants to use you. If you are a
mom or a dad, Holy Spirit is your partner in life.
Holy Spirit is not given for pastors and preachers only.
He's given to empty Christian. My life has been changed
because of this person, the Holy Spirit. He is not

(15:43):
a feeling, he is a person. To live Christian life
without him is dangerous Christian life. People say is heart,
it's not heard, It's impossible. With Holy Spirit, it's enjoyable.
With Holy Spirit. Trials are easier to endure with Holy Spirit.
Even in pain, you extract lessons with Holy Spirit. Your

(16:06):
trials become your training ground with Holy Spirit. The pruning
prepares you for the greater fruitfulness with Holy Spirit. Rejection
becomes protection. With Holy Spirit. He adds super to your
natural Once you come to this conference art design and
I know some of you come from a very conservative
background where you were told to stay away from places

(16:30):
like these. You were called you even yourself made remarks
about people like us weirdo we forgive you. Holy Spirit
is not weird. Some people he uses are. He's wild,

(16:57):
though people present him as a gentle dove. He's like
a wild goose when he comes. Demons shake and tremble
when he comes. Sickness bows when he comes. Even the
graveyard where they say churches don't grow there, it becomes

(17:17):
the garden when he comes. The dead arrays. When he comes,
your backsliding children come back home. When he comes, he
adds his fire to your life. When he comes, he
changes character from the inside out. The Holy Spirit is
the most important person in our life. Love him, embrace him,

(17:42):
depend on him, lean on him, and never grieve him.
Two ways we walk in the Holy Spirit by not
grieving him and by not quenching him. And so many
Christians either they crew the Spirit by keeping their heart
hardened through a fence and keeping their heart hardened through bitterness,

(18:05):
keeping their heart hardened to his correction. But there's other Christians.
They keep the fruit of the Spirit, but they reject
are afraid criticize anything that Holy Spirit does. Why because
they can't control it and their mind doesn't understand it.

(18:28):
Please understand, God, who holds the galaxies in his hand,
does not owe you an explanation for everything he wants
to do. You don't know how a brown cow can
eat green grass and produce white milk. So because you

(18:51):
and I cannot figure that out, we should leave the
Holy Spirit to move as he desires to move. That
doesn't mean that there is no order in the House
of God. But order is not control. You don't control
the wind, the wind used that just the sail, So
the wind carries you. When the Holy Spirit comes in

(19:11):
the room, I want to let you know it's not
only the character he builds in us. It's that he
touches us with power. Our bodies respond to the duminous power.
And sometimes there's our needs feel like a feather. Sometimes
there is heat that goes in our body. Sometimes there
is power that changes the very structure of our body.

(19:34):
Today we have a generation of people that are basement theologians,
facebook theologians who would love the Holy Spirit who changes
your character and quench the spirit who causes the deem
and ice to be set free. When I was young,

(19:54):
when I just came to the United States, I got
ran over by a car and it broke a leg.
So I had to wear crutches and for three months
my leg was healing. And as I was thinking about
this week, how many people have had bad leaders in
charismatic circles who abuse the power of God, and your

(20:17):
leg of walking in the spirit of depending on the
power of God God bruised and broken. And so what
we did is instead of getting healed from what those
people did, we chose to amputate the leg and live
the rest of our Christian life on one leg. Where
the Holy Spirit only produces the fruit that we reject

(20:39):
his power, we criticize his power, We don't understand this.
So we rejected and we say, I don't want manifestations,
I don't want deliverers, I don't want speaking in tongues.
I don't want something I cannot control and explain why
because I'm just you know it's character is better than power. Nope,

(20:59):
people ask me what is better character or the power.
Let me ask you a question, which hand is more important?
You're right or you're left? What is more important? Gifts
or fruit? Is more important? The gifts they don't matter.
If they don't matter, why that Jesus says, don't start
a ministry without him. The power is important. We need

(21:21):
the power of the Holy Spirit. And I've seen ministers
who were used by God who did terrible things, and
you hurt me. It confused before the season. But I
refuse to quench the spirit because the guy Holy Spirit
used when cuckoo crazy a man that God uses are

(21:42):
like a glove. God is the hand. When the glove rips,
the hand still wants to heal, deliver, and set free.
God wants to use our generation to touch the world
not only by the fruit of the spirit, but by
the power of the spirit. Not only by the power
of the spirit. But by the of the spirit, my friends,
healthy churches need both. We need the power and we

(22:05):
need the character. We need the gifts, and we need
the fruit. We need the anointing and we need the
fruit of the spirit. And we need to stop settling
for living as spiritual crutches. Why did you guys get
connected with that minister? Why did you go to those places?

(22:28):
Did you know what happened to those people that they fell?
So did the preacher that you listened to, who talk
about the character of God and cheated on his wife
with his secretary. People are flawed. People make mistakes. We
get hurt in the process. But walking in the Spirit
requires getting healed from the hurts. Instead of building a

(22:50):
doction around our disappointment, Walking in the Holy Spirit requires
that we don't abandon the power of God just because
the guy that got used got crazy. In the Holy
Spirit requires that I trust the Holy Spirit more than
I trust man. I hunger for the Holy Spirit more
than I fear the Holy Spirit, more than I fear
what men will say about me. Did you know this

(23:12):
guy wrote a book against you, They made a video
about you. They're saying bad things about you, and all
of this stuff. Please understand, my desire is not to
be liked by everybody, Otherwise I would have been selling
ice cream. Our desire is to please God. Our desire
is to live a spirit filled life. Our desire is
to live life that honors Jesus. Our desire is to

(23:35):
shake Hell. Our desire is to cast out devils, heal
the sick, make disciples, plan tresches, feel steady for the
cause of Christ. Man the God uses our flawed The
man the God will use today are flawed. Also, our

(23:57):
eyes are on the Holy Spirit, not on the man
can used this. And if you followed somebody who read
somebody's books and you saw them flop, and you say,
my faith is destroyed, your faith is not a man.
Your faith isn't a Holy Spirit. And I want to
encourage you today to put something on that leg, kill
that leg, because the way God used those people, he

(24:19):
will use you even better in your generation and you
will make a difference for the Kingdom of God. We
don't justify sin, abuse and compromise, but we also don't
live in fear for allowing the Holy Spirit to use
us in our generation. Can somebody say, man, so this

(24:41):
is my rent and that's not the message. Let me
just present the message in about ten minutes, if you
have your Bible. Romans chapter five, verse seventeen. He said, well,
not a rent, it's just what's bottling up over there.

(25:04):
Romans five, verse seventeen, and says for it, by one
man's offense, death reigned through the One. Much more, those
who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift
of righteousness will reign through the One Jesus Christ. Jesus
wants you to reign in life. He paid a price,
not just for us to survive through life, but to

(25:26):
rise above life's difficulties. There's a story about David and
when David lost everything before he stepped into the reign,
that God called him to be the king of Israel.
And none of us in here are going to be
kings of America, so this promise doesn't apply to us.
But we were all given a promise to reign in life,

(25:46):
not maybe in America as a king, because we don't
have kings but presidents. But you are called to be
the king and priests in your life and to reign
in Jesus. The Bible says in First Samuel chapter and
verse eight, and David inquired of the Lord, saying, shall
I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he

(26:08):
answered him, pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and
without fail to recover all. If you're taking notes, I'm
just gonna give you this very quickly in a condensed
capsule form. This is your last devil's attack before the
next level. There's some of you here today, and you

(26:32):
receive the importation already. You've received the fear of the Lord. Dude,
in the session yesterday you came and cried out for hunger.
But you're probably gonna go back home, and I want
to share something with you or what the Lord wants
to do in your life today. The attacks you've experienced,
the spiritual attacks, the tension that you've experienced, the financial strain,
the straining in relationships, the pressure maybe that you are

(26:55):
under it. And I'm not saying this because I've read
it in chat GPT or because I've read it in
the commentary book. But I'm saying this because we all
go through that as Christians. How does Holy Spirit help
somebody in this situation? I will share with you quickly
how that works. A lot of times. Right before the
next level God takes you, the devil will throw every

(27:15):
thing he has in his arsenal, and God will allow
the devil to do that. Why because every trial you
go through is a training crowd for the next level.
In the Holy Spirit, God never wastes pain. He recycles it.
God never wastes life trials. He uses this as a school.

(27:37):
He doesn't train men in seminaries. He frames them in furnaces.
He trains them through hardship, through pressure, through the valley,
through the fire, and in its challenges of life. He
uses that to train his best warriors. Maybe you're experiencing
an intense attack. Maybe it's in your family. Maybe right

(27:58):
now it is happening in your find and you feel
like hell procluse when it rains, it pours in your life,
and you're coming like somebody, please help me. I want
to tell you something that while God didn't cause it,
he intends to use every drop of that problem to
develop something in you that will withstand pressure, to develop

(28:19):
something in you that will handle influence. When God gives
you this is your last attack before the next level.
What happened to David in this verse is that David.
The scripture says in for Samuel twenty seven, verse one.
But David thought to himself, one of these days I

(28:40):
will be destroyed by the hand of Saul. The best
thing I can do, God did and tell him to
do this. Watch this the best thing I can do.
Don't let common sense take the driver's seat of your life.

(29:00):
We are not led by common sense. We are led
by the does the spirit print common sense one hundred percent.
But the common sense of David was this, one day
I will be destroyed by the hand of soul. The
best thing I can do is to escape to the

(29:20):
land of the Philistines. Write this down. If the enemy
cannot defeat you directly, he will try to wear you
out through spiritual fatigue. Spiritual fatigue is when you've been
trusting God for the same thing again, again, again and again.

(29:46):
God was faithful, but you're tired of believing for the
same thing. God never failed you, but you wish to
build a life for depending on him is optional. God
never abandon us, But David wanted alife. We're trusting in
God for the safety of his family is not on

(30:08):
the menu every single day. And he said this for
the first time David. Instead of inquiring of God, he
looks at his reason, He consults his common sense and says,
it will be the best thing for me and my
family if I simply choose the life that has least conflict,
least danger, least problems, least warfare, and we choose to settle.

(30:33):
Where in the Lando Phillies teams David, did you forget
you killed the Goliath? David goes in there and they
don't say this is a giant killer. David pretends to
be a madman who's Aliva coming out. He pretends to
be mentally ill to fit in the area where he

(30:53):
could be finally comfortable, because he's tired of trusting in
God to deliver him from Saul every single day. Yes,
God never failed David, but it gets tiring to trust
for the same thing. And even David, who is a
mighty warrior, reached that season in his life what he
became weary warrior. He becomes a double agent. He kills

(31:21):
for as a mercenary instead of for honor. No psalms
are written during this season. It is a dark season
in David's life. Maybe you are here today and you
are tired, You're weary of fighting, believing, I want to
let you know that is the devil's last attack to
wear you out. In Daniel seven twenty five, it says

(31:43):
he shall speak words against the most high, and he
shall wear out the saints. If Satan can't make you sin,
he has one thing that most warriors fall for. He
wears them out, burns them out. And next thing that
happens is they just lose that passion, They lose that seal.

(32:07):
And what they settle for. Is this a life that
does not have constant battle, constant fighting, constant believing. I
just need peace, I just need to relax. I just
need to find comfort. They settle for comfort instead of war.
It's wisdom, human wisdom, demonic wisdom, and God is not

(32:30):
in it. Number two, Spiritual fatigue can drive a warrior
to do to himself what the enemy cannot do to him.
Discourage man can come from trusting God for continual deliverance.
Fatigue can come from fighting the same battle for an
extended period of time. David did to himself what King

(32:50):
Saul could have never done to David. He made himself
friends with Philistines, the very ones who he killed. Their
giants cut the foreskins of mental soul's daughter, and now
he walks away. He pretends to worship their gods, he
pretends to fit in with them, He kills with them
for them, but he has finally Safety point number three.

(33:15):
God provided a breastplate, not a backplate, because there is
no protection from those who retreat from a fight. Charles
Spurgeons said, do you think of turning back? You have
no armor for your back. To cease, to fight is
to be overcome. I want to challenge you today. If
you run from your assignment, you are running from your annointing.

(33:36):
If you run from the battle, you are running from victory.
If you are running from warfare, you are running from
what God anointed you for. I know it feels easy,
and it seems like the devil will tell you that
the counterfeit comfort will work. I want to tell you
that the safest place is right in the middle of
the heat. The safest place is right in the middle

(33:58):
of Trusting God. Even if you have to trust him
every single day, he will never fail to supply man
every day that you have I need. Don't run from
the battle. Don't your neighbors say, don't run from the battle.
Turn to your other neighbor. There was not your first choice,
and said God has no protection from those who run
from the battle. I knows a mouthful sentence, and you

(34:20):
shortened it. Thank you. David didn't fight twice in his life.
The first time is when he refused to trust God
to deliver him from Saul again and again he lost
his family. The second time is when David refused to
go to the battle in state. Instead he stayed home
and he lost his purity. Either way, the strongest most

(34:40):
anointed man Jesus is called the son of David. The
moment he walked away from the fight and chose comfort
when the calling was to be in the conflict, chose peace,
false peace when God's calling was to be right in
the middle of tension struggle, because that's what the Holy

(35:02):
Ghost was at that season of his life. I want
to tell you something. Don't let somebody who's enjoying a
different season of their life cause you to give up
the trust, the fighting, the perseverance, the pressing in because
their grass is greener, because their grass is not what
the grace of God is on your life. Stay in

(35:24):
the middle of the battle, keep walking through the valley,
keep standing in that fire furnace. Why because your deliverance
is around the corner, because your breakthrough is around the corner.
Why because he started the good work inside of you
shall finish it. You know, when we started the building

(35:51):
project and I didn't know exactly what it will entail
and about in the beginning of the year, the Lord
gave us the prophetic word that wagons are coming. And
shortly after that, wagons started to come. Finances started to come.
About three weeks ago, we meet with our team, construction team,
a team, and we found out that there is a

(36:15):
big warehouse we need more wagons for. And this is
a parable in other words, saying we still need about
a million and a half after we finish Seat for
the Soul. In my mind I saw this Holy Spirit Conference,
all the Seats for the Soul, which is our financial campaign,
will be completed. Our building got sold, which took a
miracle from God. The building got sold, we got paid,

(36:37):
the finances coming in, and I'm coming to the Holy
Spirit Conference with this attitude. I'm gonna breathe out. My
wife gets kidney stones three days ago. She's still in
pain right now. And two weeks ago I get reminded, Yeah,
if we get the seat for the soul, that doesn't

(36:59):
change anything. And I remember I got angry with God.
I said. I met next day with the team and
I just said, this came out. This is not the
right thing. This is what I felt. I said, I'm
just tired of trusting God all the time. Why can't

(37:22):
I just get a break. And I looked at our
guy in short of construction, I said, it's your problem.
You're not giving me a break. Looked at the other
guy said, and this is your problem too. I said,
I did my part. I just want to relax, and

(37:43):
I finished venting. They were very kind. We prayed for
each other. I went into the car, and this holy
spirit I just told you who became real to me.
He visited me in the car and he said, why
you don't like to try me all the time? He said,

(38:09):
why is it difficult? Have I ever failed you? He said,
why do you obsess with comfort instead of comforter? He said,
I've always been here, I'm here. He says this lean
on me. He is, I'm gonna help you through this

(38:30):
as I helped you to everything else. He says, in
this it's the smallest battle. You've seen compared to what's
waiting for you on the other side, He says, you
think this is the last one. He says, there's bigger buildings,
there's bigger giants, there's bigger critics, there's bigger demons. He's
a sun. If you walk with me, this will look

(38:52):
like nothing to you. So now he just stop dreaming
of alife. What depending on me is optional? He says,
I didn't kill myself to you for small projects. I
gave myself to you so I can be the senior
partner and so that I can take the weight. Can
you give me the weight? And I want to tell

(39:22):
you this, the Holy Spirit wants to be your source.
Stop working your life in such a way where depending
on him will be optional. We in America are addicted
to life that does not need to depend on the
Holy Spirit. We love life that we don't need to
depend on prayer, fasting, and humbling ourselves before the Holy Spirit.

(39:46):
And I know this battle will be over. The kidney
stones will pass, the finances will come, But just about
next year, we're gonna have another big problem, another big challenge.
It's gonna be another one, and another one and another one.
Because Goliath was not the first giant, and he's not
to be the last giant. And I want to tell
you something that this problem will be solved. You will
take back what the enemy has stolen. You will walk

(40:06):
in victory. But there is gonna be another challenge. And
there's gonna be another challenge. So I want to tell
you buckle up. The Holy Ghost is in with you
for the ride. He will be your senior partner. He
will be your mighty warrior. He will be your matchmaker.
He will be your husband when you lose one. He
will be the lily of the valleys in the valley.
He will be the fourth man in the fire. He

(40:27):
will be your strength when you are weak. He will
be your healing when you are sick. He will be
a peace when you are stressed out. He will be
a power when you feel depleted. The Holy Ghost says,
trust to me, I am with you. This trial is
your training to the new season, new level in God,

(40:51):
in Jesus' name, because what you're going through is just
scratching the surface. So where God is gonna take you.
And if you think over there is just what the
Instagram shows. It's just simply just a great light. No,
it's just great challenges where the Holy Spirit will never
leave you and I'll never abandon you. Can somebody say
a man, as I'm wrapping up right down? Number four,
You cannot receive divine strategy on the empty spirit. But

(41:14):
David strengthened himself and the Lord. So he inquired of
the Lord, saying, shall I pursue this troop. You cannot
get your stuff back if you don't get your strength back.
If you don't get your strength from God, you will
not get your solution from God. God wants to feed
you before he leads you. Number five. When God doesn't

(41:35):
strengthen you, it's because He has provided for you to
strengthen yourself in him. When parents stop giving you a
battle a bottle, it's because you're not a toddler anymore.
You can't expect a bottle when it's time to use
a fork and a knife. When you are not fed anymore,

(41:56):
it's time to feed yourself. Churches should be places where
you grow, not just the places where you are fed.
That's why some of you keep switching churches. I'm not
being fed there. I'm not being fed there. Let me
give you a pastoral advice look for the church that
teaches you how to feed yourself. Look for the church

(42:16):
that teaches you how to fight. Look for the church
that teaches you how to grow. Stop looking for the
church that is a spiritual nursery. You're not a toddler anymore.
Take the pacifier out. Look for the church where they
can train you for battle, where they can sun you
up in the army, where they can teach you how
to pull the sword of the spirit, and tell the
devil come one way, you will flee seven ways from me.

(42:43):
If you come to Hungry Jen and you say, come
to Hungry Gen because that's what I get fed, I'm
gonna tell you one thing. You have about two years
and you're gonna leave. But if you come to Hungry Gen,
because that's where you grow, and that's where you're taught
to feed yourself, my friend, you will bring others to
Hungry Gen and you will help them grow, and you
will help them to feed themselves. Because somebody is saying, man,

(43:07):
we strengthen ourself by five ways. Number one, we stop
emotional drama. If you're spiritually trained, the devil will lure
you into fighting people emotions are high, your intense feelings
are high. David's men were saying, we want to cut
his head off, and I want you to notice the
blame game never wins the fight of life. If you
want to blame people that are responsible for your pain

(43:29):
and your stress, you can do that. You can be
pitiful or powerful, but you cannot be both. If you
want to strengthen yourself in God and feed yourself, stop
blame game, stop trauma. Stop going on Instagram and getting
involved in theological debates with people you've never met. Stop
being nasty and eating drama toxic food online and in person. Life.

(43:54):
David responded nothing to the men who wanted to take
his head off, singing to God, if you want to
get your strength back, speak in tongues. If you want
to get your strength back, speak to your soul. If
you want to get your strength back and serve somebody else.
If you want to get your strength back, and I'm
finishing up on this number six, God doesn't just want

(44:14):
you to recover what you lost. He wants you to
reign in life through Christ Jesus. I want you to
rise to your feet before we pray for deliverance, before

(44:38):
we pray for those people today who came, and this
is specifically the service. You've been waiting, and we've been
waiting for this service. The most important decision that you
will ever make in your life is the decision to
give your life to Jesus Christ. Some of you. You're
here with the friend, you're here with the family member,

(45:00):
and we're so glad that you are here. A friend
of mine texting me right before the service, he came
to this service and he said, in two tenty eighteen
at the Holy Spirit Conference, I gave my life to Jesus.
And he says, I come in today and I can't
believe how many more people are encountering God that two
twenty eighteen, that young man he came and he wanted

(45:22):
to take his life, but that Holy Spirit Conference, he
gave his life to Jesus. The Lord restored him. The
Lord restored his business. The Lord restored He is now
a married man. Now there's peace, now there's joy, and
now there's the Kingdom of God and his life. What
if you are that person today? Your family prayed for you.
Somebody has been standing in the gap putting your name

(45:43):
on the sheets so that you encounter Jesus. Every head
up and every eye opened. If you're in this room
and you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior,
I'm not saying are you Catholic, I'm not saying are
you a Christian? And I'm not saying are you a
good person? Do you know Jesus as your Lord and savior?

(46:04):
If the answer is no, right now, I'm going to
give you a moment where you can respond to Jesus
and what we call is Christians get saved, get new life.
Maybe you're with guilt, purden, with shame. Maybe you're here
today and you're about to you actually want to end
your life, and this is your last boss. Stop. I

(46:26):
give you an alternative. Give your life to Jesus and
watch what he will do with your life. Maybe you
are here and you are in category two. You are
a Christian at least you consider yourself, but you walked
away from Christian faith. You got burned by the church politics,
the same interpretation of the world lords you out of
the Kingdom of God. And perhaps you're visiting a relative,

(46:49):
a friend, a neighbor who came with you today and
as you were sitting in the last few services, including
this one, a strange feeling and knocking of the Holy
Spirit and your hearts. As son, it's time to come
back home. It's time to repent and stop being a
backslider and give your life to Jesus. He loves not

(47:11):
only the sinners, he also loves the backsliders, and he
wants to forgive them and restore them. There's no sin
you've done. God cannot forgive you. There is no guilt
God cannot remove, there is no purdon the blood of
Jesus cannot redeem and restore and wash out. Jesus is
better savior than you are a sinner, and he's about
to do that work here. If you humble yourself and

(47:34):
give your life to him. You may say, but I
came to confidence, I felt the presence of Jesus, and
I am fine, my friend. I went to Chick fil A.
It did not make me into a chicken. Coming to
a conference like this is amazing. But the reason why
this conference exists is so that you encounter Jesus and
you give your life to Jesus and he becomes your savior.
Jesus is not looking for more fans. He's looking for

(47:57):
children again. Everyone looking right at me, no head power
and no eye closed. If you don't know where you
will span e Trinity. If you were to die tonight
and you would not go to eternity with God, I
would like to give you that opportunity to get saved,
get right with Jesus right now. If you back slid,

(48:17):
I'm going to give you that opportunity as well, right now.
If you've never given your life to Jesus and today
is the first time, maybe you're from a different religion,
different faith, or a cult, and you say today I
want to give my life to Jesus. I'm not gonna
make it easy for you. I'm not interested in a
lot of people at the front. I'm interested in the
real people who say I need Jesus. If you're that
person can say I need Jesus, I need to get saved.

(48:38):
I'm not saved. I don't know what I will spani Trinity.
When I count to three, I'm gonna ask you to
raise your head. But if you are also that person,
you baxed it, you walked away. You haven't been walking
with God. You walked away from church, you walked away
from Christian faith. And yes, you still do this, you
still give to do that cross and yes, you still
consider yourself good person, but that doesn't count if you

(48:58):
are not born again. You need to come back to Jesus. One.
Jesus is the only way to salvation. Q hell is
heart forever is very long. Today is the day of salvation.
Three those hands up. He's saying, this is me. Just
raise that hand out, Just raise that hand out those
all across the room and say hey, this is me. Now,

(49:24):
I'm gonna ask you to do a bold step. If
you raise your hand or you wanted to raise your
hand right there where you are standing, I want you
to come out of your seat and come. If you
raise your hand to give your life to Jesus, or
to come back to Jesus, quickly, come out of your
seat right now and come forward. Quickly, come out of
your seat and come forward. This is not for fire
of God. This is not to renew your relationship with God.

(49:47):
This is for people who do not know the day, need,
who are not saved. Say I want to be saved.
Just come, God, bless you come. The greatest miracle is

(50:12):
not when your ankle gets healed. It's when your whole family,
instead of serving tequila, they start serving Jesus instead. Of
serving weed, they start worshiping Jesus instead of serving alcohol,
instead of serving drugs religion. They become a follower of Jesus.
If you have back sleep, you may be a college student.

(50:35):
Maybe he used to be in a charismatic by the
coastal church. Maybe you were in ministry before and you
walk away. You're bitter at God because he didn't answer
some prayer, something he did not do. I'm gonna tell
you something today. Jesus is waiting for you. He wants
to heal you of that hurt. But you need to
humble yourself and repent of your sin. You need to
come back to the Lord for the sake of your children,

(51:00):
for the sake of your eternity, and for the sake
of your soul. Come and those of you here in
the front. I do want you to close your eyes.
Those of you here in the front, I do want
you to bow your head. Church would just s thread
your hands forward ad them Those a you're watching us online,
you can be a part of this pray. Just drop

(51:21):
in the chat. I want to be saved this. This
is not a barrier. Those of you here in the front.
Prayer doesn't save us Jesus saves us, but sinners pray
and God hears them and he saves them. Say this
out loud with me, Say Lord Jesus Christ, I believe

(51:41):
you are the son of God who died on the
cross for all of my sins. You were buried and
you rose again, and you're coming back as the king
of kings. I acknowledge I'm a sinner. I have wronged you.

(52:02):
I am so sorry for how I lived and everything
I did. Would you wash me with your precious blood
and forgive me of all my sins and make me new,
Give me a new heart, fill me with your holy spirit.

(52:25):
I give you my life, all it's broken pieces. I
give you my fears, my traumas, my demons, and my curses.
Restore me, renew me, and use me for your kingdom.

(52:45):
And from this day forward, Devil, I don't belong to you.
I belong to Jesus in Jesus name. Amen.
