do you? What do you drinkwhen you go to the celebrities? Old
fashioned rum and coke or something?Rum? No, no, it's what

(10:39):
is it? I don't even knowwhat. I don't know. It's whiskey.
Yeah, it's bessy. It's calledan old flash, so I guess
old. Or you're that young, you're that young that you don't know what
the old fashion is. Or I'vebeen quit for so long that I'm like

(11:01):
we're proud of you, brother, and God bless some of these, like
you know, wine cool or drinks, but I don't. That's good man.
It takes I had a run offour hundred and six days of upstading
from alcohol at one point in time. Now I dabble here and there again,
but it takes a huge commitment toto make sure first identify if you're

(11:24):
in control or not. You know, that's one of the main things,
is coming to the reality that hey, are you drinking it or is it?
Is it drinking you? You knowwhat I mean? And you can
still have fun with your alcohol. And in fact, at celebrities, I
go and have fun all the timewith no alcohol. Right time to dance.
It'd be a lot of lovely ladiesup there sometimes. And you know,

(11:45):

okay, let him go too muchfun. I'm going to skip Sarandino

(13:45):
history Tibet today because we're gonna movealong. But I was hoping that you
could share a little bit of historyfor us today. Any history, Wow,
historyess? Okay, a little question? Yes, yes, Well,
my parents immigrated from Egypt and theywent to New York and like many other

(14:07):
Americans, yes, yes, comethrough yes, yes, and then they
decided to move to Cali a fewyears later. Yes, my father couldn't
take the snow anymore, had toomany falls, and that's it. He
was like, I'm out of here. And then he left my mom actually
for about a year to do thatand figure out things out here. And

(14:30):
my brother's like, no, weneed to move with dad because you know
it'll be better that way. Idon't necessarily agree with his decision, but
this is past history. Of course, they're all deceased now except for my
brother. God, you know he'sliving. Yes, yes, rest their
souls, my mom and my dad. But yeah, we ventured here to
Cali, and I was born inNew York, so I didn't get to

(14:50):
fully live there, but I celebratedmy second birthday here in Cali and Glendale.
And then, yeah, you're adoptedin, You're adopted in if you
live now? Yeah, you justsee I'm so Golden State, Golden well
yeah, well you know San Franciscoand Sacramento, Welcome to the Welcome to

(15:13):
Ontario for thirty one years. Soyes, I definitely was an i E
girl right there years you first cameon the show. Was it eight eight
years ago or nine years ago?Yeah, I would say about that.
That's me twenty four Yes, Imean, it's good to be alive that
I can see a picture of youin your younger days. You I saw

(15:35):
you had shared that post. Itwas it was at the it was at
the open mic that Mary used tohost Ketchup not Coffee over in Rancho Cuca
Manga. And it was twenty fourteen. I can't remember the exactly. I
think it was June fourteen, twentyfourteen, and I saw it. I
saw it on both like because Iwas looking at your name up and trying
to find pictures like when I usedto wear suits and times. You know,

(16:00):
I gotta get back to that. You're gonna be there. You're practically
already there. You're everywhere you're looking. You're doing a good job. Man.
Absolutely, I'm glad. I'm gladto have you back in because did
disappear a tiny bit and then likenow it's like I look on Facebook and
I see in fact he was.He was in the station less yesterday.

(16:22):
Right. He's a star's happy tobe a lot, blessed to be alive,
all praise the glory to the Lord. Just happy to be here with
you brother. Well, so that'sa little history, Tibet. Would you
like a little share a little history, Well, definitely just share about you
know, similar the family origin ormigration story. Both of my parents,

(16:44):
their parents both lived in Tennessee andthen it was a time when the great
Migration from the South, you know, when many of African American families were
going up north seeking better opportunities. So my dad's parents and then my mom's
parents, they all migrated up intoMichigan. My dad's family went into Inkster,
Michican, and then my mother's familywent to Detroit, Michigan. A

(17:06):
lot of the siblings and things ofthat got jobs at the Ford Factory.
And eventually my aunt Bell met herhusband Benny and came out to California.
He was in the Navy and sothem coming out to California all the others.
Yeah, the catalysts or the conduit. Right, they started all slow,
but surely got tired of that snow. Right. That's a common family.

(17:30):
Yeah, and that's what happened withour family of the Davises. Came
from Wyoming and went to Vegas tolook for work and then like heard about
workout in San Renadino. So thereyou go. And it's something about for
for all human beings around this world. We have migrated throughout this entire continent.

(17:52):
And it's so sad when you thinkabout how the borders and all these
things, like it was the planetwas open for everybody. You could go
here and be there and and livenot as much so much now. But
yeah, yeah, it's it's changed. In northern Canada. I heard there's
plenty of Lando, yeah, Ibelieve, and plenty of snow. It
will be people that say, hey, yeah, let's do that in a
climate changes. Maybe that will endup being the next Caley. What's your

(18:17):
story? What's your parents story?Parent story? I am a first generation
American, So parents migrated from Mexico, Jalisco, so Walahara and nay Nayarat
the Peak Nate, so both beachcities, per se. So they like
so many like so many a Samornadinasare actually from those same states. So

(18:38):
yeah, they came out here.I think it was nineteen seventy six,
and the only reason they remembered wasbecause the big orange ball that would say
nineteen or seventy six gas stations. So yeah, but yeah, I am
also my mom was born in SanMarenadino and back, but my dad was
born in iver Falls, Canada. So yeah, I am a first generation

(19:03):
immigrant kind of, you know, and nowaday you know, so like it
gives me a chance to to feelwhat it, you know, to feel
like, hey, wait, yougot to give the immigrants in some place,
because we do that generation exactly. You know a lot of people were
you know, barely five or sixgenerations out of immigrating the United States,
right, yeah, exactly. Sohere's the topic. How is it and

(19:26):
what age? So you now seewhen people start talking about those stories like
well we migrated from this place, these people were like, well, Mike,
Mike's case, my parents were likebetween ten and thirteen years old.
Can you guys imagine that? That'sright? So I mean we got you
know, forty five year olds thatlike still haven't you know, like moved

(19:49):
out and those are the kind ofthings where it was like, was it
much easier back then? You know? Was it circumstance? You know?
I mean those are the kind oftopics that wasn't much easier. What it
was is that they there was moreopportunity to be able to do that kind
of stuff. Yeah, make toomuch money nowadays in our economy to be

(20:10):
able to like, you know, four cheap right like that, man,
we're able to let our kids actuallydo something fifteen years old. You have
to get power of attorney and thenI mean, you know, and who
knows how hard that life would be. But it's good that they actually did
it, because you're here today becauseof it. Crazy. My parents are

(20:32):
the same thing they came for.My dad came because of money and wanting
to find a new life. Whatage? What age? I think he
was eighteen? Eighteen stone? I'msorry, I'm sorry he was seventeen.
I'm sorry he was eight. Hecame here and guess what happened? Man,
the Marine Corps he got dragged himup. So he got a he

(20:52):
had a court case of in Canadaand it filtered down right, So he's
like, I'm joining Marine Corps. So he joined are seventeen and he couldn't
go to Vietnam because he was notold enough. So at eighteen then he
went and hold all his his platoonor whatever unit, and they had all

(21:12):
the stories already, and he caredpoopless. Can you see boopless on of
the radio? Scared poopless? Ourlittle little histories like we come from some
really incredible ancestors. Man, theyhad some can you can you say,

(21:33):
ahoness? He really did have. You know, it takes kids to move
away from courage. I moving awayfrom Sammonan now, so like you know
what I'm saying, like for formy grandparents have done it that it's probably
scary leaving your network and all thatstuff. So it can be. It
can be. But some people likeyou, like we kind of all shared

(21:56):
how our families migrated. But sometimesthere's war, there's conflicts where you don't
want to leave your comfort zone orwhat you're most familiar with. But it's
it's not a sustainable situation where it'snot doesn't sustain life, and you got
to get about of it right thissecond, right right, bring it to
reality. Small little area you don'tknow where to go or yeah, and

(22:19):
like if they could, I'm surethat every single one that that with their
phone would come and get away andgo anywhere except that plant right now.
You know, I hear you onthat tip. But at the same time
too, you know, people areall connected to their homeland in some way
and it's hard for some people toto leave those Sometimes you have to leave

(22:41):
to come back sometimes because yeah,I have a feeling that the infrastructure will
be so devastated, it'll be leavinglike like the Stone Age until you can
get enough cement and and grind itand grind the existing cement and materials to
rebuild. And I'm sure that Israelis going to be very greedy with those
materials. It's it's going to bea rough, rough place there. It's

(23:03):
a real war zone. And likeit shows. I always tell people,
you think you live in a bigcity, everything's nice and everything. What
happened to Alepo in Syria, right, I mean that with a five thousand
year old bizarre there devastated and he'sjust demolished. Right. And then what

(23:23):
you were saying is sometimes you haveto migrate because of those comp that bad
stuff famine death. Actually a lotof people all round, and actually that's
what causes it to spread. Ithink COVID moved a lot of people around,
definitely absolutely away from cities. Allright, So you have some some

(23:44):
incredible stuff to share with us today, have a few poems. You're a
poet, you're a motivational speaker.See your last name, So I don't
mess it up to Wadro's right andthat Sugyptian? Yes, all right,
any any relation to and I knowif so, make sure I was just

(24:08):
wanting to get a hook up.Maybe I could see that dagger, maybe
some of the desert glass. Yeah, I'm with you on you you can
show about it. Years ago youshared some poets for you with us that
day. You had a book atthat time, right, No, that's
the interesting part. So I havetwo books now, okay, So what

(24:30):
books you got? I have ifmy body was a canvas of words,
and I have Cairo meets Queens.Okay, okay, so no, but
the words are definitely pierced on myheart and body, and if you read
the poem, it will definitely that'ssomething that you should read on your own.

(24:52):
Not kind of I don't Yeah,I'll save that for if whoever buys
the book to enjoy that piece.Okay, cool, And I urge people
to look at their bodies actually asa plain canvas and put the positive labels
that have been put on you sothat you know who you are and identify
and put those I AM statements clearlyand not be afraid. No no,
wait, wait, wait a secondhere, wait wait wait, you're you're

(25:17):
ticy? Know what's that poem?Is that to purchase the book the president
you have an equally good poem toshare to. But but but like I
said, it's better for it isthere boobies? No, no, no,

(25:44):
I didn't need to say the Bword. I didn't mean to say
it. But yes, can yousay resuses on the to find out goodness?
Okay? But it's not about that, so that's not the reason.
It's more of a personal day.Understand. There's a picture inside there too.

(26:06):
It's you have there's a bookmark youget with it if you buy it
directly from me, and it's incolor and it has the actual poem on
it wearing a white dress. Andso then in the bookmark you can see
it's you know more, Yes,it's written all over me. I keep
it classy and so on with youknow, clothing is not naked, and

(26:29):
no offense to anybody who else whochoose. Yeah, that may not be
allowed because we have to live streamthis right. I am so speechless.
My brain is moving a thousand wordsa minute, and I just know I
can't say anything right now. Carryon, Mary, I'm burning up right

(26:53):
there. I'm not going to yes. So you have a poem for us.
I have a poem from the book. I'll share, but not that
piece. Okay, so short andsweet, because I'd like to share other
pieces from Chiroman's Queens. Sunflower andStrawberry Fields. Come with me, through

(27:14):
Sunflower and strawberry fields. Let myfiery passion rain over you, strengthening your
soul to fly higher than an airplane. Telling the untold story of real companionship,
where a man and woman connect forthe celebration of each other, where
the word support becomes much more thanjust a word, the understanding of depth

(27:41):
being the vertebrae between backbones, carryingthrough each other's crises, knowing the weaknesses,
and finding the way to pull eachother by the hands, praying together
to seek greater understanding of wisdom,of what love is a beautiful sacrifice,

(28:03):
beautiful thank you, yes, thankyou. Like the imagery in the beginning,
like I kind of putting sun flowersand strawberries together, those two contrasting
colors, and then with my brainI had this big giant airplane landing in
the field of flowers and strawberries goingeverywhere. But I was, you know,

(28:27):
very good imagery and like the loveat the end. I was kind
of like that from a personal andwhen I wrote that piece was quite a
long time ago. It's for me. I believe love is magic, and
it's something that leaves you hopeful andjoyful and peaceful and excited and just so
it's a combination of like your excitementand peace at the same time, depending

(28:51):
on where the wind is blowing youin that moment of love. But love
is powerful, so I like towrite about it. I like to believe
in it, and I hope forit the best for myself and others.
And yeah, it also it bringsout emotions and others when they relate that
to themselves. Yes I would.I have a couple of books of poetry

(29:11):
myself. Yes, yes, that'sright, and they I know a poem's
done when you can when I feelit, because usually if I can feel
it, then if it's gonna makeme kind of cry or it makes me
happy or something, then I kindof think, you know, that might
do it for somebody else to possiblyif you touch your heart, especially on
an emotional level. Our hearts arevery similar as human beings, So if

(29:36):
it's touching, if it's plucking thoseheart strings, it's probably going to pluck
another's as well. So you're totallycorrect about that. Yeah, well,
okay, now we got the next. Yes, yes, Cairo meets Queens.
I'm excited about this book in particularbecause this was a lifelong dream for
me when I wanted to create apoetry book when I was young, because

(29:56):
I started writing when I was twelve, and I would do collages to match
my poems. Is it written inancient Egyptian? Oh? I don't write,
and I can only speak the language. I do not write. I
do not speak I mean speaking, yes, no writing, no reading,
So yeah, unfortunately, but blessedto be able to speak it though.
That's I did see an ancient egyptsymbol on the front. Yes, yes,

(30:18):
yes, yes, yes yes thereyes, God that the eye of
raw. Yes, I think Ihave horus. Yes, so this is
my artwork on the front and alsoon the back, I I kind of
put like my parents are the onesin the front with my brother and did
you draw that? Yes? Excellent, And there's my artwork throughout the book.

(30:41):
It's always better with your art yes, if you've put you on your
right book, yes, oh mygod. Yes. So this was my
dream and I thought, oh,I'm going to have someone eventually put their
pictures or their artwork and they're goingto match through with my poems. I
never would have thought it was goingto be my own artwork. That's the
part that really blew my mind. And it only happened like in my forties.

(31:04):
So that's why I always tell peopleit's never too late to follow your
dreams, because it's you tapping intoyour creative gifts and making it happen.
So and it definitely ain't going tohappen if you don't try that part.
If you don't do it, ifyou don't manifest will not happen. Absolutely.
So you have a personal favorite inthere you'd like to share with us

(31:25):
personal favorite? Yes, yes,she has them all bookmarked. That's right,
there's three things I want to share, so I don't depending on time
because I would respect time. Gofor it. Okay, Okay, okay,
okay. So there is a messagethat I'd like to Okay. So
this book has poetry and messages fromInstagram that I wrote through twenty twenty one

(31:47):
and they're either devotionals or uplifting messagesor prayers or things that people I wanted
to remember my mom or my dadthroughout that year, or even artist friends
that passed, I wrote things aboutthem and them as well. So forty
three posts from Instagram, fifty threepoems that are in there about love,
s, virtuality, life, andjust my journey, and then my artwork

(32:10):
throughout the book. So it's veryexciting. So this is an Instagram post.
Love flies. Perfect love comes fromour heavenly Father through his grace,
mercy, peace, strength and joythat he gives love people, and it

(32:30):
can be beautiful. However a lotof times it's conditional. Strive to love
without conditions, extend yourself to beloving despite the people who hurt and let
you down. Not everyone is goingto understand how you want to be loved.
Just remember you are love and meantto be loved in return. The

(32:52):
right people will love you and showup in ways you never imagined. Love
is a kiss from a baby, life into innocent eyes, your eyes,
not just their innocent eyes. Loveis watching butterflies dancing in the wind.
Love is fresh roses, stargazers makinga room smell incredible. Love is a

(33:15):
hug from one of your favorite peopleon the planet. Love is all the
blessings in your life. Love isdancing in the rain. Love is just
being close to your special someone, holding them close, hearing their heartbeat.
Love is seeing a dream coming tofruition. Love is eating something that makes

(33:37):
you feel like it's a party inyour mouth that someone went out of their
way to make especially for you.Love is shining your gifts and talents and
connecting with someone's heart because you arebrave enough to share it. I love
to talk about love. I loveyou, peeps, Sending love and light
to you always. Hashtag love, hashtag love you You, hashtag love one

(34:00):
another, hashtag love unconditionally, hashtaglove drives out fear hashtag love notes,
hashtag God's Love, hashtag Woman ofGod, hashtag poet, hashtag author,
hashtag artist hashtag Heart of gold hashtaglove flies, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
You mentioned a spiritual aspect to thebook. Is that come from a

(34:24):
specific religion or I am a Christianand I am I am also I was.
I definitely was baptized Coptic Orthodox Christian. I don't say I've actually been
did Okay, that's exciting. That'sa big, big deal. Yes,
understanding and sitting standing, sitting, and an incredible incense, isn't it.

(34:49):
It really is. There's a lotof magic in that church. There's a
lot of magical things. I havekind of parted. I don't really go
regularly, but I still am veryconnected with my father's confession devoted but like
I total respect, absolutely and uhyou know all the elder women in there

(35:09):
that yes, for all that time, I was like I could do it.
It's real. Yeah. Now imaginethe liturgy that's two to three hours.
One hour. Yeah, don't lockyour legs are going to be done.

(35:32):
Don't expectful. But like, it'sinteresting when you when you immerse yourself
in a culture that you're not usedto, things happenings that are new.
I think that's so important for allhuman beings to immerse yourself in different cultures.
Food you mentioned, Yeah, food, open your world. It's a
beautiful mosaic of life here and we'reall a part of it, and we

(35:55):
don't have to live in our silos. It's a beautiful world. Sambo just
happens to be the melting pot ofthe world. Really, so the California
is, but samber Nadino really isour county in general. We have so
much food and it's all good. It's all good food. It's too good,

(36:16):
matter of fact, and I don'teven need today. I'm not hungry.
I'm just hungry. But that didrelate to your poem. So now
we're on to the next one. That was about love of all the different
things that you can love and makeyou feel good. Yes, especially before
we dive into the next one.Jesse, what are your thoughts on love

(36:38):
because you're married, you have youknow, you have a family to you
in your life, right. No, yeah, there's a lot of meaning
to that. I'll just tell youguys. Well, when you were reading
that last night, my wife andI were watching This is Us and This

(36:59):
is Us and that TV show likeliterally hands down, like it broke me.
You know, it broke me becauseof the fact that you know,
by the end of it, it'slike you're getting towards the end of your
story, all right, you know, did you do everything you could?
Did you treat everyone with love? You know? Is there things that you

(37:20):
could instill in the next generation thatyou you know, possibly missed out on.
But most like the saddest part wasyou know, saying goodbye, you
know, getting getting older and thatright there, like again, this is
a really good session. Did IIt is a really good episode just because
of the fact that did you Yeah? I did? I did? Right?

(37:47):
No, And that's the part whereit's like, okay, well,
if it touches you to that extent, then that's love. And that's the
part where like you could be stonecold, you know, but when something
does resonate with you and you're ableto share that emotion, then you're living,
Yes, and you're alive. Andthat's that's what I believe. Did

(38:12):
that Did any of those lines inthat poem? Did that make you feel
emotion? To make you cry?Or yes? Some of them like hugging
someone that yes, because you mightnot always be able to do that and
you know and you will not.And that's what I was going to ask
Mary, like when you wrote thatpoem, especially that specific one, what
was accurate to Like what part ofyour life I've witnessed? Like I pay

(38:37):
attention. I mean, I driveand I am focused on the road,
just don't want to scare anybody. But at the same time as I'm driving,
I see things I'll capture, Likejust one street, I'll be driving
and all of a sudden, I'llsee like a father out there holding his
daughter, a little girl, like, you know, probably two years old,
and like he's reading to her,and that's just precious. Like I'm
just like, wow, that's aprecious love moment. That's so that's a

(38:58):
soul. Oh my god, it'sit is. Yeah, I'm sorry to
cut you off, but like seriously, last night we were talking about that
and I was just my kids turningout thirteen years old, right, it's
a different world and we're having differentconversations. But I was like, man,
boy, do I miss them ofage? Because you know, I
used to go over on thirty ninthStreet, the park that's right there by

(39:21):
uh no, the little park bythirty ninth in Golden Okay. Yeah,
yeah, So long story short,we're you know, just always pushing the
kids like every day, and I'mlike, I just told my wife.
I was like, I wonder ifthey remember that. But on top of
that, what we used to dois we should just sit on the ground
and look up. And I justremember my my daughter would be like,

(39:43):
Dad, like, what are welooking at? Nothing? You know,
Dad, well, what are wedoing right? Nothing? And just to
you know, live in that momentis precious. It's magic. Yeah,
absolutely magic, exactly, a preciouslove story right there. Yeah, thank
you, Robert. Yeah, makesure you remind that's awesome. Man,

(40:04):
that's something good you left your kidsand remember that the rest of their life.
I just want to quote the greatphilosopher first with the quote love us
love love us love love love us, love love us love love. That
is the great philosopher. Cappa Dinaof the wool tank claim. Yes,
yes, very profound words. Yesseveral times. Yes, who tanks for

(40:28):
the kids bank? In fact, they need to come. You know,
they didn't even have they reunion.I think they were. They were just
here about we're nothing half ago.Well yeah, yeah they were there.
It's hard to get in there.I was watching people's live streams. We

(40:52):
got the twenty minutes. We stillgot time for your next morning. We
got going on here now, Yeah, you brought out some deep thought hereon.
Yes, Yes, I'm happy that. Yes, thank you for sharing.
That's awesome. It really is awesomebecause I like looking at little kids'
faces. I like getting lost intheir eyes because it centers me, because

(41:15):
they're so peaceful and they're so innocent, and I like getting lost in that
innocence because we get so jaded,we get so you know, angry and
frustrated and life is not going theway I want it to, and and
you're just you know, all themadness. You got to like pull back
breathe, Like, yeah, weshould all take a break. Let's say
breath Yeah, that feels the moment. Yes, breathe. That was a

(41:45):
common thing my holistic education. Welearned in our master's program. We would
sit there and we would first feelour breath coming in and out of our
mouth. Right then you would fillyour feet touching the ground. Then then
the then the third until you switchback would be to fill your heartbeat.
Then you flip back to doing itover and over, and by the time

(42:08):
you get to the fifth cycle, you've usually lost that anxiety feeling or that
you know, you know whatever, your anger. Yes, the anger was
one. Yeah, right, soI use it for anxiety sometimes it does.
Actually will it will ground you, yes, it will. And we
are grounded right. Yes, weare touching the earth. In fact,

(42:28):
we're all touching right now. Yes, yes, yes, yes, we're
just in one big like energy matteratom ball here, yeah, a bunch
of atoms stuck together. Yes yeah, all right. Oh so we got
another poem here, yes, okay, right, and this is from the
book Cairo Meets Queens and Cairo MeetsQueens because why, my parents came from

(42:52):
Cairo, Egypt, and I camein New York City, Queens, New
York. That's where I was born. So that's what it means. We're
going to Queens. Yeah, exactly. I'm sorry. I'm sorry with me.
You just said coming to America.I'm like, here you go.
Yeah mc dowells right now, yes, yes, I get it. Yes,

(43:14):
one of my favorites. It's totallyone of my favorite movies. I've
watched it minutes, yes, yes, yes, absolute favorite. All right,
I'm ready, all right, sothis is dedicated to Okay, I'm
gonna put it the way it mightput it oh to all men who needed
to be reminded. You are loved, appreciated, respected and honored. Talbot

(43:38):
this outside all right, I'm readyanchor. Let me anchor the deep lineage
of your exhausted soul for three thousand, six hundred seconds. Let me love
all your pain away. Let meplace my hands on your face shoulders,

(44:01):
pray over your life, abundance ofjoy, prosperity, grand health, complete
healing and restoration over your perforated heart, sealing it with ten kisses on bare
skin. Let me feed you, nourishing your vessel with your favorite comida.

(44:22):
Let me tell jokes to listen toyour laughter. Let me play a song
for you to sing. Seeing thelight in your eyes sparkle putting on a
beat for us to raise our vibrations. Let me remind you who you are,
magnificent creation, designed perfectly. Youunderstand the world through your angel eyes,

(44:47):
helping every fellow at crossroads, travelingto your higher calling, spiritually in
tune through the ether. Hands designedto heal with every touch, Arms to
hold mountains of pain, yet meantto release them in far off countries,

(45:07):
moving to freedom of complete peace, joyful. So how would you describe that
poem. Okay, so it wasactually inspired by someone specific, and it
was someone I loved deeply. Idid love that person unfortunately did not work

(45:31):
out. But the poem was written. When I wrote it and I shared
it with him, it made himcry because he's someone who's wounded and has
things he needs to face, andhe faces them in a way that he
shouldn't. I have to be honest. So that's for him to figure out
on his own a doing and lifejourney and what have you, but not

(45:52):
for us. And so I realized. I shared the poem with another friend
of mine that's an artist that's aquote as well well, and this poet
says to me, oh my god, if I could just listen to this
on my way to work every morning, and I'm like, what that?
That actually shocked me. I couldnot. That's what I took it.
And now you can because this isthis It is on audiobook. That is

(46:16):
correct, It is on audio. The book is on audio. And also
I have paired this piece with akind of I would say, a classical
piece of music. So I'm workingon getting that to Spotify right now.
But yeah, so I'm excited itwill be real quick. Yes, yes,
yes, okay, so you sharedit with the individual, correct?

(46:37):
Now were you there to help himduring that? I was. I was
definitely there. I was helping.I mean, he was so appreciative of
that. I acknowledged his pain thatI was, you know, helping and
being a dear friend to him,not just even like romantically, but he
also was choosing to be with otherpeople and not deal with life instead just

(47:00):
out there. So I am notpart of that journey. I either you
pick me or let's just keep itmoving. So that's courageous to still be
able to share, to share, right, Like, yes, if the
poem was about my ex, don'tI just do not share that? Right?

(47:20):
But see that's a double edged poets. Poets, See, this is
the thing. Either you let uslove you or if you break us,
and you know, then we willmake sure that we take care of ourselves
and heal and write what we needto write and also share it so we
heal. So it's not all aboutthe person you're writing it and you're moved

(47:42):
by that person, And I amthankful that he was part of my journey,
oh very much so, and Iwrote several poems. It's not just
that one. But the thing isthat poem has a higher purpose. It
wasn't written just for him, becauseevery single I call him brothers like if
Yanni's my brother, literally like yeah, so every single brother I shared with

(48:04):
them, they were like, ohmy god, thank you you you heard
me, like I needed to hear, like I've heard things. It blows
my mind. Well I'm not exaggerated, I'm like what I'm saying. That
is because Johnny we were talking outsideand it was about that Chris Rock reel
where he ended up doing a comedyskit about like, you know how heavy
it is to be, you know, a male figure carrying the household,

(48:25):
you know, carrying the success. You know, does the success live up
to the expectations of their other half? Right? So, like this kind
of threw me for a loop becausein the beginning it was like, hey,
well, let me encourage you,let me you know, put you
there. But then like when I'mhearing of how it came about, That's

(48:47):
that's the part where I'm a littleconfused on Well, I would say this
like and this, I think thispertains because you said, if you're reading
a piece about your like x exlove of your life. That moment that
they were in and that moment ofconception of that piece was a beautiful moment.
Yes, and that time, thatmoment is encapsulated in that piece.

(49:07):
So whatever happens outside of that moment, you know, it could go awry
or it could be still and bliss, but the beauty is still there.
Most of the poems that I wrote, when it has to do with that
kind of stuff, tend to bebecause I'm hurt. Yeah, and that's
that I would encourage you to write. I would love to hear your poetry
currently in the current state of blissthat you currently have found yourself in.

(49:30):
I would love to hear. Thething is, once you do find love,
you have no time for anything else. About that, Brother Robert,
it is very important, but youmake a lot of time. But Bro
Robert, be doing a lot ofloving I have. I have a lot

(49:57):
of hobbies, sure, a lot. So when I was single, I
could manage all of those hobbies verywell. Yeah, but now that I
have like a new family, it'snot as easy to write the poems and
do the art that I used todo every day. That is very true.
But but we we can carve outtime for things that we, in

(50:22):
fact, we should carve out becauseif you don't carve it out, nobody
else is. So I hope,I hope you car look at that that
b what did this and that andnot? You know, but you know,
you have to force yourself to sitdowner, right, you know.
And I just want to chime inon on on that piece. And and
I know you have one more pieceof share. I know we're getting close,

(50:45):
but I love that piece, youknow, And I'm I'm searching.
That's the kind of love that I'msearching for. I hope to bring that
same kind of love and passion thatstronghold to my woman, to my queen,
right, But I hope to receivethat that kind of love that would
have described there because the journey istough and as men, we go through

(51:06):
so much and we don't talk aboutthe emotional trauma. And that's the whole
thing where like that you know, came from a woman, but is looking
through the eyes of a man, where it's like, well, what are
you looking for? Well, ifI was to you know, put my
guard down and be able to expressmyself, those would be the words that
were coming out of my mouth, right, which is, which is awesome

(51:28):
because again, you know, failedrelationships and everything that has gone or can
go wrong, it's all because ofmiscommunication. Yes, seriously, if you
would have just told me about it. We can't read each other's minds at
all. We have to we haveto express it and it has to be
good communication. And it's not evenabout expression because expression expressing will get you

(51:51):
in trouble. What what did youjust say? No, it's about being
able to talk about it because youknow, again that expression could come out
as like joy anger. Wait washe? How was I supposed to receive
that? But no, I butthose were words, and you those are
beautiful words than thank you, thankyou so much, thank you. Before

(52:12):
we get to before we get tothe next one. We have one more
year for us ready, I haveto be remissive. We had the Turkey
Trot. Yeah, if you madethe ten k, Robert, oh d
yours everybody did great. Thank you, Sam Will Yeah, brothers and SBI

(52:36):
everybody. That was just awesome. It was a good job running it all.
Definitely, I did the ten k, but the lately lady sadly gave
me the five k metal So it'sbecause he was gonna get two medals.
Yeah, but you get to fivek, yeah, yeah, something.
I ran the ten It took meone hour, nineteen minutes and thirty seven
seconds. I haven't run a tenk in years. Our best five when

(53:00):
I used to run ten miles aday was twenty seven minutes, so nine
minute miles. So I got alot of more work to do, you
know what I mean. But I'mblessed to be alive, and I hope
to be allowed to have another dayto better myself at the Lord's great awesome,
thank you, great job. Allright, and now you have one
more. I'd love the hearing. We would love to hear it. I'm
going to close with my Christmas piecesince Christmas is around the corner. Very

(53:22):
fist. Okay, so this isChristmas twenty twenty. It was two pm
as I walked around my neighborhood onChristmas Day, soaking up the vitamin D
I desperately needed. I listened tothe quiet streets with spurts of children laughing,

(53:44):
playing with their new presence. Theopen doors almost seemed inviting. I
took pictures of myself, capturing thered hair band, popping lips, and
flowery dress. I continued walking tothe school, lighting my sandals off to
feel the moist grass. I needit to be one with the earth,

(54:06):
grounding myself, releasing, healing fromhead to toe. As I prayed,
swaying my body from side to side, I am whole. Christmas can be
so very lonely, yet I knowI'm loved by the Lord family and friends.
I miss my mom, aunt andgrandmother the most. With all the

(54:30):
holiday Egyptian baking traditions, finest chocolatesdelivered by mail, It's never going to
be the same as each year ends. I yearn the most for quality time.
That is the greatest of all giftsanyone can give me. As I
walked back, I admired the housesfilled with decorations, fallen leaves, the

(54:52):
sun a perfect seventy three degrees.I prayed that every heart beating is full
of peace, joy, laughter, healing, and extraordinary moments captured to fill
our hearts when we spend difficult daysalone, remembering them and smile. I'm

(55:13):
thankful to be alive, surviving theimpossible over and over, and still I
have breath to continue to the possibledreams ahead of twenty twenty four, Since
we are there now and you're thereright. It was twenty twenty one,
but now yeah, twenty twenty fouris that's beautiful? Thank you. I

(55:38):
definitely just want to say this, like, you know, God bless anybody
out there. I know that theholidays can be tough. It makes me
think of my family, the homesand the mosleys, you know, with
the passing of my Aunt Joan andAunt Teressa, that these and I'm only
a year removed myself from losing myfather's So yes, I wonder if I

(55:59):
am fully healed myself, and Ireally doubted it, but nevertheless, my
father's suicide anniversary was on Thanksgiving Day. Oh my gosh, that was rough
day. From you, I spentmost of their crime, So it's sometimes
you gotta you know, you gottapour it out years later. Yeah,
because those people meant so much tous. There are such an instrument,

(56:21):
instrumental part of our lives, youknow. And and in case of our
fathers and mothers, we wouldn't behere without the love that that they had,
you know, no matter how longthat moment of love may have been,
because some have a passionate love thatburns out, but that love produced
us so it's blessed to be alivesome fun during it. It's a scary

(56:45):
story, my mom. Scary story, so not the business. I did
not want to know. She totallyno, no, because I was a
mistake and they made that very clearto me. And my mom's like,
oh yeah, I was like twomonths you know when you know, didn't
get my period. Excuse me anybody. So then okay, there you go.

(57:07):
Yeah. So then all of asudden she comes, you know,
goes to the doctor. She comeshome, it's like two months, okay,
what have you? Doctor calls her, oh, missus to Wardro's you're
going to have a baby. Andshe's like what you know? Because you
couldn't believe. She was thirty nineat the time, so for her that
was like you got to be kidding. So it was an immaculate conception.
No no, no, no,no, no, no no no no

(57:29):
no. But she's like, areyou o my god, no, no,
no you know yeah no no,so I cannot She's like, oh
my god. She continues the story. Yeah, I see, it was
like this one he did not.I'm like, why are you telling me
the story? Stop? Stop now, stop now, I don't need to
know all that, but because shemade it very clear to me, I
you're very passionate. So she wasright, she created a passionate woman.

(57:53):
That's true. That's true. Itbleeds, it bleeds right through in your
poetry. Yes, totally. Ireceived. Where can your works and your
pieces amazon on Amazon? Yes,you can find that, But I prefer

(58:15):
that you reach out to me onmy Egyptian Princess eight website and that way
