They get at they take care of business right there
in the middle of the court. Tip off for that.

their excellent season as well as give some highlights. I

(03:55):
think we have one of these young men who are
interested in hosting and being in in our All Star

Speaker 3 (04:02):
We're really excited about that.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
And then chiming in via the phone, we have both

week of practice. Coach b dropped off the uniforms during

(04:24):
the week and everybody's really really excited about it. And
then we'll also have coach Coleman calling in representing for
Palmdale High School. He is the Antelope Valley All Star coach,
so we'll get a chance to talk to him as well.
And he's going to be talking to us because he
is a returning coach for last year, so he'll be

(04:45):
competing for his winning streak. See if he can keep
it going for two years straight. And again that's the
HD All Star Classic. That'll all be taking place today.
That is right today today, over at Victor Valley College.
I got a chance to go out there. Big shout
out to coach already over at Victor Valley College. I
got a chance to go out there, visit the campus,

(05:05):
visit the football field. The football field is amazing, so
it's gonna be great. A lot of kids have never
played in a college atmosphere, so this would be a
first time for them, but it's gonna be really really epic.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
They even have and.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
This is what really sent me, you know, as a
kid saying this is sent me right here. We were
really excited to know that there is a jumbo tron.
So I had the coach, had them make them put
my picture up there so I can say, Mama, I
made it. So again, it's gonna be great stuff going
down again. Fox Sports Radio we will be out there

(05:40):
in attendance for the HD All Star Classic, I believe,
if I'm not mistaken, this is the fourth year we've
done this All Star Game, so it's always a treat,
always a joy. Big shout out to our sponsor. Would
not have happened without the kind consideration from Miss Kim
Jim He of Remax Freedom is our title sponsor for

(06:04):
this particular event. Again, Miss Kim Jarrett her generosity. We
applout her for all of her generosity. And again this
game would not be taking place if it was not
for her efforts and consideration. So again big shout out
to Miss Kim Jarrett over at Remax Freedom. Again, folks,
you guys do not want to miss this show. We

(06:25):
have Kaiser High School right here live in the studio,
and then we'll be talking about more game updates for
the game today. And actually there's some huge games taking
place today. There's not just the HD All Star Classic,
but also yes, we do have two teams that are
competing for the California State Title Open Division. That is right,

(06:50):
Oh yeah, go ahead, clap it up for that. That's
why we have Edelwanda High School coming off.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
A huge When I say huge, I do mean huge win.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
And and when I say huge win, I'm talking about Yes,
I'm talking about I'm talking about a big time win right.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
There right there there in that that top draw right there.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
When I say huge win, they're coming off a big
time win over at over at Ontario Christian.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Excuse me, I'm over we're doing it.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
We're doing a live stream as well, so I'm trying
to set up this live stream so everybody can see us.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
But Ediwanda is coming off of a huge, big time win. Uh.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
They knocked off uh Ontario Christian and it was a
really heated, heated match. When I say he did not
in terms of he did well, you know there's any
kind of issues going on, but he did in terms
of it was just great basketball. Came down to the
last second and Ediwanda was able to come out victorious.
It's really was the this is the third I guess

(07:52):
they call it the rubber match when they this is
the third time they've played this year. Both times Ontario
Christian was successful and knocking off off the raining champions
that is the Ediwanda Eagles led by coach Stan Dalou.
But nonetheless Ediwanda came out on top. Huge performance by
Aleanna puff Morris. She went out there and I think

(08:12):
she had at least about twenty two points. Really really
was a big time factor in terms of scoring but
not to be outdone. Ohso I got to make sure
I give a big shout out to Mss Grace Knox.
She really really had a great game as well. So
it was a great showing again Fox Sports Radio Am
thirteen fifty. So if you guys cannot make it out,
for those that cannot make it out to the HD

(08:33):
All Star Classic, or if you are going to make
out to the HD All Star Classic, maybe you can
pull out your cell phone and watch a little bit
of this on your cell phone, because again, it's going
to be a huge, big time game. Edwanda High School
will be out there competing for its back to back
California State championship.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
It's going to be epic, man.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
So I'm really pulling for Coach Stan and the Ediwanda
Eagles who are right now in Sacramento, the state capitol
for this great state of California, over at the Golden
One Arena. Again Fox Sports Radio, I am Coach, is

Sports Radio thirteen fifty. We do have a very special

(13:05):
guest here in the studio with us today. Coach, please
do us the courtesy of introducing yourself to our live
radio audience. Fantastic Coach. Really appreciate you coming in again.
I know, I know it was you know, you guys
had an epic year. We've seen you guys go out there.
You guys have been doing your thing. Fontana I know
is really excited for you. Guys are like the namesake

(13:27):
for for the city of Fontana. So talk about this
epic year and what it's meant to you and your team.

Speaker 10 (13:32):
Well, it mean for us, it means a lot of
senior guys, a lot that, a lot of sports, a
lot of supports.

Speaker 11 (13:40):
Few other teams are the coaching in the area.

Speaker 10 (13:43):
About bringing back the first year championship at school for.

Speaker 11 (13:46):
Basketball with there and the fact that we.

Speaker 8 (13:49):
Relate the way we get it.

Speaker 11 (13:50):
Going to run that.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Fantastic I'm gonna do coach, I'm gonna have you come
over here and talk on this microphone right here, because
it looks like we're some challenges to play out again.
Sorry about that, brother, my partner's normally here, but go ahead,
all right. Fantastic ghat. So we're going to start back
up to the top.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
So tell us a little bit about the season please.

Speaker 12 (14:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (14:12):
So our season, we ended up going twenty two and eleven,
big jump from what we had last year. We kind
of just peaked at the right time, went on an
incredible run to end the season, first championship in school history,
which was huge for us. Wow, especially for basketball being Kaiser.
You know, Kaiser was known as a football sport for
so many years, you know, Yeah, so being able to

(14:33):
be the first ones to bring one home in basketball
is really special, especially since there's been such so many
great teams before us that weren't able to bring it home,
so many great coaches before me that weren't able to
bring it home.

Speaker 11 (14:44):
So to be the first is special.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah, you know, that's one of the things we got
a chance to see. Again, it's Fox Sports Radio coach
being eternal. We're here with Fontana Kaiser High School boys basketball.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
The champions I like that.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
But yeah, no, I mean, you guys have really been
Fontana has been excited. That's why we got a chance
to kind of get eyes on you because everybody was
just so excited about the season and what you guys
were able to accomplish. Now this for you talk to
us about like what was your thought process? I mean,
was this something you saw happening at the beginning of
the season or this something that kind of like you
kind of just morphed into it.

Speaker 10 (15:15):
Yeah, I mean beginning of the season, we knew we
had a good group with us, how far we were
going to be able to go was really going to
be based on how we kind of progressed throughout the season.
Late in season we kind of started picking up some steam.
A little bit of trouble to start, but right around
the middle we kind of found our groove and we
were able to carry that to a very long playoff run.

(15:36):
You know, not just through SF, but we got a
couple of state games in as well, which was once
again first in school history. The community rallied behind us
and it was really something special. I mean, first couple
of home games, I was begging on social media to
get fifty students in the gym. By the end of it,
I mean I wasn't even having to ask. I mean,
we're getting over two hundred people coming to see us.

(15:57):
Which was very important to us, was to fill the
stands and have people come see what we were doing.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Again, right here live with coach Avila from the Fontana CA.
You know the logo, you know, I'm telling you guys
have one of the better logos.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
I like the colors. I mean, it's just great.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Talk to us about how the administration has rallied around
you guys, because I know the admin is huge over there,
but talk about how the ADMIN is rallied behind the
basketball team as well.

Speaker 11 (16:22):
Man.

Speaker 10 (16:23):
Admin has been extremely supportive of everything that we're doing.
I mean when I took over. When I took over
the program four years ago, I was I was tasked
to kind of rebuild it. It was right after COVID. I
had an extremely small sophomore class, which would have been
freshman over that COVID year.

Speaker 11 (16:37):
I had one kid.

Speaker 10 (16:38):
Wow, so I was essentially missing an entire an entire class.
And when I came to Admin about you know, getting
on social media, you know, promoting the games, promoting the
student athletes that I had, they were all for it.

Speaker 12 (16:51):
Man.

Speaker 10 (16:51):
They jumped right on and they've kind of given me
the keys to this, you know, and luckily we've been
able to steer it in the right direction the last
four years. But yeah, they've been great, man, Extremely supportive,
extremely supportive of my players. I mean, I got a
great group of kids on campus. Everybody knows them. Admin
loves them, students love them, teachers love them. Very blessed,

(17:13):
very blessed to have such a great group of kids
that are just good people.

Speaker 12 (17:16):
Man.

Speaker 11 (17:17):
But yeah, everybody on campus has been extremely.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Supportive now you guys took it all the way to
the state, yes, and came up short just a little
bit over there. Diamond Ranch, you know, a good Diamond
Ranch team. But just talk about that game. Talk about
that game and how that game felt. I mean, again,
it's stays, so I mean that's a big deal, just
a major accomplishment just to even get there. But just
talk about how that game was for you and your
your coaching staff.

Speaker 10 (17:40):
For us, I mean, we just played Diamond Ranch six
days before then that we'll see if championship game. So
we knew it was going to be tough. They were
going to make adjustments and we were gonna have to
adjust to that, right because when you when you come off,
when you come out on top of the game, the
adjustments you make, you're not really trying to change much, right,
You don't want to change much, right. So coming into
that game, me and my coaching staff were just kind
of prepared for everything that they might possibly do, given

(18:02):
the kids that they had and what we thought they
were able to do.

Speaker 11 (18:05):
He they came out with a vengeance.

Speaker 13 (18:07):
Man.

Speaker 10 (18:07):
Wow, they went up double digits early on us. We
kind of crawled our way back, tied it late. We're
up very late, and then we just kind of ran
out of steam at the end. Man, Like you said,
State playoffs, anything can happen you to win. Those types
of games require special performances.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Question.

Speaker 10 (18:25):
We had a couple of those during the CIF championship game,
and they had a couple during that state game. It
kind of went the way it went. Obviously, we want
it back. We'd always want that back, right Oh yeah,
But for us that that game went kind of how
we not exactly how we thought it was going to go,
but the intensity was extremely It was just a fun
game to come.

Speaker 12 (18:43):
Man.

Speaker 11 (18:44):
I love those types of games.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Stuff Right there again, we're right here live Fox Sports
Radio coach being Eterner. We're here with Fontana Kaiser. We
are here with the championship, the CIF champion boys basketball team.
I know I have a good ring to it, the
great ring. Now talk about this. We have three of
your young men here, give us, give our audience a
little snapshot of who we have in.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Studio other day.

Speaker 10 (19:05):
Yeah, so I got three seniors with me Ethan Moreno,
one of our main point guards. AJ camer Are, a
big guy, and then Nico Serrano, another one of our
big guys, seniors. They really kind of pushed us forward
when we need them to do, always coming up in
big spots for us.

Speaker 12 (19:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (19:22):
Great group of kids. I mean, there's a reason I
picked them to come and come and talk talk with
us today. I feel they represent our program. Well, they're
going to represent Fontana in the community. Well, they're going
to represent themselves well. Great group of kids.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Man, fantastic Again Fox Sports, Wait, we're gonna go ahead
and bring these young men. But again, coach, we were
really appreciate and congratulations on an excellent win. And I
know you and your staff are really really excited about it.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
But again, congratulations, thank you.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
All right Fox Sports Waity, we're gonna go ahead bring
bring in their players. Lets these young men go ahead
and introduce themselves. They're still over the drawn sticks. All right,
young man here go put that microphone up. Go ahead
and introduce yourself to a live radio audience.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Please, my name is Antonio. Come around. I am a
center and I go to Kaiser High School.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Fantastic. Now, I'll ask you the same question. I got
a chance to talk to your coach, talk to us
about I mean, what a great season. But for you
as a player, How about this season for you as
a player.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
It was really impactful. Really, I I don't have much
to say, like in terms of like how bad it was.
It was a really good season. It was. It was
very hype, it was very spirited, and I had a
chance to connect with all my basketball members and all
all the fans and people around Fontana Caeizer.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yeah, that's good stuff.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Now talking now that final game, well scooting, not the
final game, but the actual game where.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
You guys won CIF. How was that experience for you?

Speaker 1 (20:38):
It was mind blowing. Really. I did expect us to
go to CIF. I did not expect us to go
as far as we did past CIF to stay it was.
It was a great experience for me. It was it
was I haven't had a loss for.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
Words really, but it was exciting.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Nonetheless, it was very exciting.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
That's good stuff. Okay, Now, now here goes a good
question right here. Now here's the.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Question I gotta ask you guys, Now, do you have
what was the moment for you you have to have?
Is there like a game for you to really stood
out the season to kind of define what the season
meant to you?

Speaker 1 (21:09):
I'd probably say are our last game, our last game
in state against Diamond Ranch. Our rematch. Yeah, well I
wouldn't say it's not a rematch. It was a rematch
for them.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
But but why do you choose that game?

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Because it told me really that we've made it far
right and it's it's not the farthest we can go.
We definitely could have gone further, but there is some
mental lapses, like like just turnovers and stuff that we
still need to work on. And it's not it's not
like a defeating moment. It's more of like a moment
where you can build off of it.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
No question, that's good stuff right there. We'll getting young men.
You have a bright future. Keep up the good work,
and thank you for being the studio was today?

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Okay, thank you?

Speaker 3 (21:49):
There it is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
We're right here live with the Fontana Kaiser High School
basketball team, the champions. Right here, young man boy, put
that microphone up. Introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Plays.

Speaker 14 (21:59):
My name is Ethan Moreno and I'm a point guard
for Kaija High School.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
That's good stuff right there. Point guard right there now?

Speaker 4 (22:05):
Now, now, do you have a point guard that you
you model your game after?

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Somebody out there like that.

Speaker 13 (22:11):
Not like a.

Speaker 14 (22:13):
Specific point guard, but like there's a lot of players
that like I look up to because obviously my place
style is different than like other players.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
Right right, right, But yeah, it's okay, no doubt. Now,
Now talk about this season again, a historic run for
you guys. You guys really put Fontana out there. But
how about the season for you?

Speaker 14 (22:33):
I think it was a season of growth. You know,
we had a lot of ups and downs this season,
but towards the end, we started like figuring everything else
out and it just took us as far as we went.
And obviously we couldn't get like all the way to
the state finals, but you know, we went pretty far.
And I feel like we accomplished a lot of things

(22:53):
this year, no.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Doubt about it. Definitely, guys, I think you got did
as well.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Now, talk about that championship game, A big time moment
for you guys, big time moment for the school.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
How was that moment for you personally?

Speaker 14 (23:03):
It was a it was a really good experience, you know,
like I never expected to make it all the way
to the state finals and even to win or not
State finals ci finals, Yes, and it was like it
was a really good experience. We had a lot of
growth in the season, and to make it that far
as like it's pretty crazy.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Oh yeah, that's a big deal, a big deal, no
question about it. And I'll ask you the same thing.
Is there a game that stood out to you this
season where it kind of like was like maybe like
a defining moment where you knew the team was going
to do something.

Speaker 14 (23:36):
I think for me it would probably be our senior night, okay,
because it was like who do you guys play that night?

Speaker 3 (23:43):
A Royal Valley?

Speaker 14 (23:45):
Yeah, and it was a home game, and I think
that was like for me, that was probably like the
loudest gam we had like all season, and we like
everyone was excited.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
You know.

Speaker 14 (23:57):
It was a it was a pretty special night, so
it meant a lot. And then I feel like after
that was like let me really run on our run
and then like we just went like we just played
really good after that.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
So that was the momentum right there. That's good stuff
right there. I tell you what, young man. Again, you
have a bright future. Keep up the good work. And
again we appreciate you being the studio other day.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Okay, thank you. There It is right there. Fox Sports
Radio and thirteen fifty.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
We are in the house with the champions Fontanic Kaiser
there were this young man ahead put that back and
forth it up. Introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 15 (24:27):
Please, hello, Nico Serrano. I'm a forward at Henry J.

Speaker 13 (24:31):
Kaiser High School.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Okay, that's good stuff right there. Now now now talk
to this man the same question. Man, how was the
season for you? How did it feel for you personally? Personally?

Speaker 15 (24:40):
Personally the season I couldn't asked for a better season
with my teammates, man, like starting here since freshman year,
you know, from the jump, we've always just we've never
been able to make playoffs and we always wanted to
make that push.

Speaker 13 (24:52):
And the year that we made playoffs, man, we went
all the way.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Yeah, yeah, it feels great.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
So, I mean, so you've been there all four years,
so you've you've seen some ups and downs.

Speaker 13 (25:00):
I've seen I've seen the downs and yeah I've seen
the ups.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Now, yeah, yeah exactly. Now talk up and now talk
to you about that championship game. Obviously that was a
big deal.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Man.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
I mean you guys again win the CIF. Historic moment
for the for the program, historic moment for the school.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
But how was it for you personally?

Speaker 15 (25:15):
Honestly, it was insane because like even our school, they
like they brought our fans out to support us all
the way and we played out in Honeyson Beach.

Speaker 12 (25:24):
Wow.

Speaker 13 (25:25):
So you know we're from Fontana, so that's like that's
a drive.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah, And I know that was special.

Speaker 13 (25:29):
Yeah, especially seeing like all all all our friends.

Speaker 15 (25:31):
Yeah, I was like, dang, like they had they really
had the opposite gym and it was packed out nice.

Speaker 13 (25:36):
It was just so many fans. It was so cool.
It was a great experience.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
That's good stuff right there now. And I'll ask you
the same question.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Was there a game that stood out to you this
season where you felt maybe it was like a defining
morment for you guys?

Speaker 15 (25:45):
Honestly, the game that like set out for us and
I can tell is when we played Colton for League
champs because in the fourth quarter we were down like
nineteen points I think it was in nineteen or sixteen, wow,
and we came back, you know, we had to push
it and we went on the League champs. And then
ever since then, like once we came back from like
nineteen points one quarter, I was like, oh, yeah, we

(26:07):
can do we can do something big.

Speaker 13 (26:08):
That's what we did.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
That's good stuff right there. Well again, congratulations, young man.
We're really happy to have your studio and they get best.

a quick shout out to some of your staff and
so forth to kind of help you along this season

Speaker 10 (26:54):

with at times, so that group really kind of keeps
me keeps me in line. But yeah, real, real, of
course I'm going to do this, Okay, my wife. I
have to about my wife.

Speaker 5 (27:08):

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Let me tell you something, man. You guys got high
desert folks. Y'all are a rare breed man, because I
was out at Vigt Valley College and I almost froze yesterday.
I mean, I mean, I am here to tell you
it was cold, but today is going to be clearest. Guys,
how are you feeling about the All Star Game today?

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Coach?

Speaker 12 (30:26):
I'm excited, man, Glad to get out there and happy
to hear that it's gonna be a little bit warmer.
It was a cold week out here this week. I
think we went through the entire season then get this cold. Wow.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Wow, that's crazy. Yeah, but we got one. Yeah, we
got one this week.

Speaker 12 (30:42):
Yes, sir, yes, sir.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
Now you're returning coach again. You had a phenomenal run
this season. We were really really happy to have you on,
but kind of just talk to audience a little bit
about the epic season that you.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Guys went on.

Speaker 12 (30:56):
Oh man, this was an ethnic season. This was the
very first CIF champ being shipped for Palmdale High School.
Our young men came together at the right time and
put together a run for the ages.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
And talk about man, I mean, I think we talked
about this a little bit before, but all the support
that you guys got during that historic run. I mean,
you guys have former players calling, I mean, you know,
send you guys messages on Instagram, social media. This you
guys were really really rolling. But talk about that. What
that support meant to you?

Speaker 12 (31:25):
Man. Falcon Nation stepped up and showed out, you know,
at Palmdale High School.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
We's got a.

Speaker 12 (31:30):
Model Falcon for Life. Yes, you know, so it's a
hashtag FFL, and you know are our former players. Man,
they were so excited, uh and and happy for these
young men to finally get this accomplished. And they all
felt like they want to see IF championship too.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Yeah, that's that's a good thing right there, where everybody's
working together to coming together and it's making it all
happen right there now. Now, Now, last year you were
you were, you were coach, You coached the team last year.
We brought you back again this year. Talk about your
experience last year, you know, and kind of like some
of the highlights when you experienced a game again. We're
on your home turn and now you're gonna be traveling
this time.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
But how was.

Speaker 12 (32:10):
Last year? Was an awesome game? Man? I think it
was more of a defensive battle. Uh. We pulled off
a one point victory and uh, you know, it's exciting,
a lot of good hitting going on. Uh, some great
football going on. And that's what we expect to see
out there again today.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
And you guys really do play just a smash mouth
way of football. I mean you, I mean when you
guys go out there, it's run, it's tough defense. But
is that just a style of how you play or
talk to me a little bit about that.

Speaker 12 (32:42):
It depends on the jimmies and the Joe's who we got,
you know. Uh, this year, though, I expect to put
the ball in the air a little bit more. We
got a couple of great receivers on the outside and
go out and get it. And we're excited to get
out there and see what these guys are gonna do.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
Now, how was practice this week? Again?

Speaker 4 (33:01):
You guys are gonna be for everybody that's listening again,
this is gonna be the HD All Star Classic and
a Low Valley taking on Victor Valley this year, it'll
be over at Victor Valley College. Uh, just a fun
not I don't know if you've been over there, coach,
but it's a phenomenal feel. It even has the Jumbo
Tron up there, man, so I'm you know, I think
I got a little teary eye when I saw the
jumbo trying But talk about the week of practice and

(33:22):
how it was going out there meeting the new guys.

Speaker 12 (33:25):
Oh, the week of practice was awesome.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Man.

Speaker 12 (33:28):
You play against these young men for four years and
this is coming to their senior year and you got
an opportunity to put the best together on one field. Man,
And it's a coach's dream to get out there and
h and coach these great athletes. And I've got a
great coaching staff, We've got Highland High Schools defensive staff

(33:49):
helping out. So it's just been it's been an awesome week.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Yeah, and that's always good when you get a chance
to kind of hang out with your contemporaries, kind of
pick their brain up with the thing. And so it's
gonna be great again. It's all going down kick office.
I'm e scueing at three o'clock today over at Victor
Valley College. Now, any predictions, any predictions that all are?
You just gonna go ahead and say, come on out there.

Speaker 1 (34:08):

Speaker 12 (34:09):
Prediction A great game, A great game. You know our
young men they're excited to get out there and uh
play in their last official high school football game, and uh,
they want to kind of keep this street going.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yes, indeed, no doubt about it.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Now.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Now, now talk about the excitement for playing out of
college because generally normally, you know, the students and you
guys are playing at high schools. Talk about that exciting
and get a chance to you know, take the take
the field in a college atmosphere.

Speaker 12 (34:37):
Yeah, well, you know, the young guys, they're excited. I
showed them pictures of the new stadium out there Victor
Field College and Victor Valley College, excuse me, and you
know they're they're they're just excited to get out there
and see what that field feels like. And just soak
in the atmosphere.

So much happening today? I mean, you know, let me
tell you something.

Speaker 4 (39:06):
I went out there yesterday there being the Victor Valley College,
went out there to the football field. If you guys
have never been out there, you guys are missing out.
It's a really really nice, very very nice field. The
field is just all me really, you know, shout out
to our guy already out there, but the field looks immaculate.
They're a jumbo tron, and you know, one of my

(39:28):
favorite lines is hard to be humble when you're stunting
on the jumbo tron. So yeah, so yeah, so you're
gonna see you know, you'll see your boy out there
on the jumbo tron as well as my guy, coach B. Again,
big shout out to our title sponsor, who, again this
game would not be taking place without her kind consideration,
that is none other than Miss Kim Jared of Remax Freedom.

(39:53):
Really really happy that she felt in her heart to
help us out, and again we are happy for it
and because of it. So it's going to be a
great game, great game of football today for those who
want to make it out, who can make it out again,
please go ahead, come out join us. It's going to
be a great day of football. The cost you guys

(40:13):
can pay with cash or you can pay with card.
It's fifteen general and then thirteen if you have a
student ID. And it's going to be again, it's going
to be a great, great stuff going on again. We
accept cash, card, or if you just want to just
come out and give me a love donation, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
I'm fine with that. I'm totally fine with that.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
Again, Coach being eternal right here live, we're just waiting
for coach, waiting for coach mirrors over at Apple Valley
and he'll be calling in just a quick second and
we'll get a chance to talk to him. He's going
to be coaching for the Victor Valley side, so we're
really happy to hear what his thoughts are. As I mentioned,
it's a great day of basketball. I know a lot

(40:55):
of people who are watching, you know, the four letter.

Speaker 12 (40:59):
Word at work.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Excuse me.

Speaker 4 (41:02):
You guys saw lebron James out there with his son,
Bronnie James, and he was he was out there for
the state title for Sierra Canyon. Now that was Division one. Okay,
that was Division one. We're talking about the open division.
That's the one where the boy boys are and the

(41:24):
open division is really really going down. As I mentioned,
we have two representatives coming from the Inland Empire. That's right,
that's Riverside or as Riverside an Stanbordin excuse me, the
collective and going down.

Speaker 3 (41:38):
These young men have had a epic run.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
We are talking about the coach Singleton led Roosevelt Mustangs.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
And let me tell you something. Yeah, clap it up
for him. Yeah that when I tell you that they're
on an epic run.

Speaker 4 (42:00):
Last I think last game when they played, they knocked
off Notre Dame. This is Roosevelt Mustang's Brayden Berry's five
star braiden Berry's had thirty seven points. And that's just
what he does. You know, I don't even know. I
don't know where he's committed to yet. I mean, he's
one of those guys he might just I mean, he
has the physique where he can literally go out there
and probably play somewhere in the league right now. But again,

(42:24):
braiden Berry's Isaac Williamson as well as young Miles to
the point guard sensation. They will be out today. That
is the finale game over at the Golden One Center.
I called the Golden One Arena earlier, but it's the
Golden One Center and that is right there in our
state capitol, Sacramento. So that'll be Roosevelt taking on Archbishop

(42:49):
looks like rid Ridoran Reordan. There we go, there we go.
I got it, I got a Reordan, Archbishop Reordan. I
had my pronunciation right. So again Roosevelt taking on Archbishop Reordan,
and that'll be going on. That's the finale game, and
that'll be going on tonight eight o'clock Pacific Standard time.

(43:11):
So you guys want to make sure that you guys
make yourself available check out that game.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
It's gonna be great. I mean, let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
Coach Singleton is doing a wonderful, wonderful job with those
young men, and him and the staff have really got
these young men on a huge, big time run and
we're better for it. So we really are excited about that.
But then are we done? No, no, no, no, we're not
done yet. We are not done yet, because right before
that you will have also taking place, you will have

(43:40):
the ed Iwanda Eagles and they'll be taken on, I
believe Archbishop Midi in another showdown for a back to
back title contention for the Edlwanda Eagles well, we do
have a caller calling there right now, live on the
Celebrity be Heard Hotline.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
Caller, Please introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Please coach Coach High School.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
There you go, right there. Coach, thank you so much.
We appreciate you calling in. It's a great day. I
was just talking to coach Coleman. It's a brief moment ago.
I told him I took a visit out there to
Victor Valley College and I almost froze.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
I almost.

Speaker 4 (44:18):
I mean I felt like I was in a freezer
out there. I mean, I don't know what kind of
coffee you guys drink out there, man, but it was
freezing yesterday. But I hear that that the sky has
opened up and the Good Lord is shining on us.
How are you feeling out there today, Coach.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
We're good.

Speaker 18 (44:32):
We're blessed that it was supposed to be a beautiful
day to day. It's been a very cold week of
practice for the players and coaches. And I think it
even snowed a little bit twice at practice this week.

Speaker 3 (44:48):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (44:48):
Wow, bet so you guys are really dealing with the
elements out there. But hey, that's what you got that's
what you high there as with folks, do you guys
are able to.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
Kind of do with that cold weather.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
I was talking to coach because the High Desert has
a way.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
You guys played football out there, smash mouth.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
Just talk about that, the mentality you guys bring to
the football field.

Speaker 18 (45:09):
Uh yeah, I think if you're a football player in
the High Desert, you need to play with a chip
on your shoulder and earn the respect of everybody else
in Southern California.

Speaker 12 (45:22):
And uh yeah, I think a.

Speaker 18 (45:23):
Lot of the team's up here trying to show that
every Saturday night when they're playing. But we, like I said,
we just asked if they play with a chip on
their shoulder and play like you need to prove something
every single time you step on the football field to
whoever is watching.

Speaker 3 (45:37):
That's good stuff right there. Now.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
Talk about this coach, and you got some talent out there.
I got a chance to look at your roster, but
talk about how that week could practice. I know you
said it snowed a little bit, but just talk about
all that talent. You got a chance to see who's
on your roster to play today.

Speaker 18 (45:52):
Yeah, some of the best talent in the High Desert
came out and participating in this.

Speaker 8 (45:59):
I mean we have.

Speaker 18 (46:01):
The best from pretty much every school up here. But
uh yeah, I mean it's great. You look at the
old line, they're huge. You look at the running backs,
they're fast. Running receivers are tall and catch balls. Quarterbacks
can throw on time. They're they're both pretty fast as well. Defenses,

(46:21):
defense is nasty. They're big upfront, physical linebackers want to
hurt feelings and guys want to secondary guys want to
fly around and make plays. So it's been great coaching
all these kids. And it's you know, last time I
coached an All Star Game was probably ten years ago,
and uh it's just changed so much. Where nowadays a

(46:42):
lot gets played with each other is the off season,
seven on seven things like that, So you're always kind
of wondering, are they going to jail for a week
or you all just hate each other?

Speaker 3 (46:53):
Right?

Speaker 18 (46:53):
And and our team, our team, Man, it goes out
there and everybody's just joke around with each other right
off the bat. So I think the whole this would
be a time that the seven on seven kind of
worked out for us, that these kids kind of knew
each other and knew about each other and were cheering
people cheering each other on at some point in the

(47:13):
season or off season. So that transition was was pretty
good for us. Everybody's getting along. We haven't had to
break up any fun.

Speaker 3 (47:22):
Hey, that's a good thing.

Speaker 4 (47:23):
That's a good thing right there, especially when we're playing
on the same team in such a huge area. Right
there again, Fox Sports Radio, right here, live again. It's
the HD All Star Classic, kicking off today at three o'clock. Now,
Coach I was I was speaking of coach calling about
just about that that that fantastic field. I don't know
if a lot of those kids have played at Victor
Valley College, but just talk about the excitement to go
out there and play in a college, collegiate excuse me, atmosphere.

Speaker 18 (47:48):
Yeah, I think that's gonna be cool kids, especially people
that I am really sure what college they're going to
go to or anything like that, so they actually get
to play on a community college field and check that
out and get the good feel of the new new
stadium they have over there. I haven't been over there yet,
so I'm kind of excited to check out the new

(48:09):
facilities they've had. But it's changed a lot since thirty
years ago.

Speaker 12 (48:15):
Oh yeah that.

Speaker 18 (48:15):
Oh yeah, I'm gonna get there a little early and
walking around.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
Yeah yeah, yeah, gotta go to get a get a
little idea of the terrain.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
But no, it's really nice. I tell you what I was.
I was blown away. A big shout out to a
coach already over there. It was just a nice field.
It's very well kept. They have the Jumbo trying up there.
So it's just a really really great thing. It's gonna
be a great day. So, uh, coach again, We're we're
really excited to have you coach. We appreciate you hopping
off the bench and taking out the time away from

(48:44):
your family and your friends to go out here and
help us out coach this game.

Speaker 12 (48:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (48:48):
No, it's a big, big shout out to Remax Yes
for getting this thing going that needed to get going.
She uh, she stepped up. She's phenomenal whatever she could
get this game going. So big shout out to Kim
at Remap. They do a great job. Great family, So

(49:09):
thanks for you know, she made a lot of seniors
families very happy, no question, they get to see their
their kids play another game. So big shout out to her.
And then Silverado coaching staff that's helping out with us. Yes,
and the spirit of coaching staff that's helping out with us.

Speaker 1 (49:27):
It's good.

Speaker 18 (49:27):
I think it's always good to get numerous coaches in
the community to help out with this game. Agreed, So
I just grew big shout out to all them for
helping them.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
Fantastic. Well again, coach, we appreciate it. It's gonna be
a great game. We can't wait to see it again
for folks who want to come out. It's gonna be
kicking off today at three o'clock right over there at
Vigor Valley College. Again, it's gonna be an epic game
for so anybody wants to see some good ol fashioned football,
it's going to be out there. Coach, thank you so
much for see a little later on this afternoon.

Speaker 18 (49:55):
Okay, all right, you guys have a great thanks again
for getting this going.

Speaker 4 (49:59):
Yes, sir, there it is there. That's coach Miraz over
there at Apple Valley. It's a great gentleman, a great
ambassador for the sport. We're really happy. And again I
have to piggyback off him as well, is that this
game would not be taking place if it had not
been for the kind consideration from Mss Kim Jared over
at Remax Freedom. She really stepped up and she just said, hey,

(50:22):
she got in contact with us, contacted Coach B and said, hey,
I want to get this game going. So Coach B
and I got to work. I mean uniforms, I mean,
our uniforms come overseas. So it was a really it
was a tight, tight race to see what was going
to happen. But nonetheless, we're really excited. I mean, I
mean it was down to the wire. Coach B and
I were having some very difficult conversations going, hey, are

(50:44):
these kids gonna have to play in their uniforms? I mean,
we were really having that conversation. But I'm so glad
that everything worked out. The mail came through, we were
able to get these kids their jerseys. If you guys,
I mean, for folks to want to see some really
nice jersey, this is what we do. Not only do
we do you know, we do radio obviously, we promote
these games for these kids, and you know, you know,
we also can get some nice, very very high quality

(51:08):
uniforms done as well. So that's always the thing if
folks are interested in that. But one of the things
I have to make sure that we always highlight about
these games that we do. We've been doing these games
now for roughly about nine years. Not one time, not
one time, have we ever asked these kids to pay
to participate. So that's something that Coach B and I
are very very excited about that these kids are able

(51:30):
to play totally free of charge. They walk away with
their jersey and that's theirs to keep as a keepsake.
And the good thing that we always advocate is the
MVP walks away with a cast scholarship. So you know,
I'm gonna be whoever wins to day, whoever wins it today,
I'm be calling them up and asking them for a
dollar or two. So again, it's gonna be happening today

(51:53):
for folks that want to to see something epic, see
some helmets going, I mean some real hardcore hit. It's
going to be going out there to day. And again
I can't oh, I am so so happy that we
were blessed with a very very nice day to day.
Cause we let me tell you something yesterday when I
drove in, you know, I felt like a city slicker

(52:13):
coming in from Riverside, you know, coming up that fifteen up.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
The heell.

Speaker 4 (52:17):
I mean, I was concerned I was gonna get snowed in.
It was like that. It was thirties five degrees rains
coming down. It well started turn into snow flurries. Oh goodness,
it was I had to make So I was like,
come on, Lord, please don't do this to us again.
But I was really happy when I saw that the
weather eased up for us again a little bit today.
So we're excited about that again. Right here live Fox

(52:39):
Sports Radio coach Beanie Turnham. As I mentioned right before,
we had our phone call. A lot going on today again.

Speaker 3 (52:45):
You have.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
We have Roosevelt planned tonight at eight o'clock for the
state championship, and the right there in Sacramento, we're gonna
be talking to cif State about seeing how we can
get that basketball game at least here in southern California.
You got the end to It Dome, you got the Crypto.
I mean something can work. One of those two can work.

(53:09):
I mean, you got the you got the you have
all different matters. You know, you got poly Pavilion. It
is an assortment of people places that we can go
to have this game hosted outside of US having to
travel all the way to Sacramento and it being a
home game for whoever we're playing again, so hopefully hopefully

(53:30):
they don't get a chance to hear it. But nonetheless,
the twenty twenty five California State excuse me, CIS State
Girls Championships also will be taking place.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
As I mentioned today.

Speaker 4 (53:41):
The champion, the Raginning Champions, led by the USC Star
who's now currently at USC.

Speaker 3 (53:50):
Edrwanda Eagles.

Speaker 4 (53:51):
Let me tell you something right there, they're taking on
in a season there was I mean, let me take something.
They had to fight it out this sea and they
had to really really fight it out twenty seven and five,
lost to Ontario Christian twice, but came back and knocked
them off for a chance to defend their title.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
And again they'll be doing that again.

Speaker 4 (54:11):
Archbishop Minie who is like the arch enemy of Ediwada
because they have always had they've always.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
Been competing against this team.

Speaker 4 (54:20):
This team is always really tough, very well coached, disciplined team,
and it's gonna be really tough. You got the likes
of young Puff out there. You got Grace, I mean,
you got some these young ladies. You got Machine and
Brew out there. I mean, this team is loaded with
talent as well, So I'm looking forward to hopefully the
game is the football game is done, and I can

(54:45):
try to high tell it down to where a TV
is and I can have maybe an adult beverage while
watching this game, because it's gonna be epic. We're looking
forward to it again Fox Sports Radio and thirteen fifty.
It's gonna be epic stuff. So again, it looks like
the way it looks even if you guys do come
join us at the game, you'll still be able to

(55:06):
get out in time to get home, get warm, and
then enjoy this phenomenal day of high school sports.

Speaker 3 (55:14):
Again.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
We're gonna kick it off at three o'clock today we're
at Victor Valley College four the High Desert All Star
Football Classic, brought to you by the good folks over
at Remax Freedom. Excuse me, a big shot out to
miss Kim Jared for making this all happen. And then,
as I mentioned, cif State starts off with the girls,
that game will be at Awana taking Archbishop Mitty, and

(55:35):
that game is at six, and then right there immediately thereafter,
excuse me, you'll be seeing Roosevelt taking on Archbishop Redorian Real.
I have a dog that word all day today. I'm
going to get this Fox Sports Radio good stuff going
on right now. We appreciate it. I know a lot

(55:56):
of people will have been Make sure you guys follow
us on social media at i EA sports Net. At
i E Sports Net, we have a lot of information
that we're putting out there right now. Some of these
kids have just started getting their nominations. So again, we
have our All Star basketball event that's happening on the
thirteenth of April. That's right April Sunday, April thirteenth, is

(56:18):
going to be taking place over at Marino Valley High School.
That is the best basketball players from Riverside in Sara
Bernardino competing on the hardwood for County supremacy. So that
would be a really really great showdown. It's a triple header,
so you guys don't want to miss it. It kicks
off with the eighth grade game and again the same
thing as Riverside versus Sara Bernardino. And then right there

(56:40):
after the eighth grade game is the senior girls game
and then caps off with the boys game as well.
And again those are for the girls and boys those
are seniors right there, and again it's the All Star
Basketball Game, our sponsor. Big shout out to the Riverside
Sheriffs Association, who has just been so so so supportive
of us. I mean, I don't even know, well we

(57:00):
would be without them, but they have been extremely supportive
of all of our efforts and anything we ask of them,
They're like, hey, man, we're right there for you. So
it's really really great to have that support. Getting big
shout out to the president of the RSA, the Riverside
Sheriff Association, who has mister Bill Young, and he is
a man who takes care of everything and really makes

(57:23):
things happen for us. So we're excited about that. It's
going to be a great day. We have to Literally
I'm still in here trying to warm up a little
bit because it was cold this morning. I mean, I
don't know what's going on, but I mean we went
through a situation where it was just like it was
getting hot, got like eighty degrees, and then we just
had a week of a wind chill. So you know,
I know, we thought we were excepver in California. We're

(57:46):
going to get out of here, man, But No, it's
been really really cold this week.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
I mean for rigid cold.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
But I'm excited that it's going to be a nice
day out today. It's going to be open sky, so
it's going to be a great day for football. We're
really excited about it. So I'm going to be signing
