Speaker 1 (00:01):
Coming to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studio
in Southern California. It's time for the only national prep
sports show on radio, the Coach be An Eternal Show.
And here are your hosts, the Pride of Riverside, Eternal
and straight out of Downy Coach B.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Gentlemen, it's all yours.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
This is Coach Being in Turnal on Fox Sports Radio
heard in Southern California on Fox Sports Am thirteen fifty.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
I'm your host, Coach B, and.

Speaker 5 (00:28):
I am your host Eternal, right here live in a
great city of Riverside at the iHeartRadio Studios on a
bit of a misty morning, but nonetheless we are gonna
bring the sunshine to you guys. Again, thank you all
for tuning in. We are just right here Coach B
and I. We are running just a little bit behind,
but we are still making things happen, so please please

(00:51):
please bear with us. But again, we have a very
nice show schedule for you guys. It's gonna be a
great show. We have really exciting stuff going on. We
just wrapped up our big time hugely. Everybody participated in this.
This was just a major deal. Our MVP mom Inland

(01:14):
Empire Mother's Day Experience. We named our winner last week.
It was Miss Sabrina Rivera is she is right now.
She is on location, right now, getting the work's done.
She is in the portion of the makeover portion. And

(01:35):
again what we did was we went out there. We said, hey,
we want to find a sports mom, somebody that you know,
we can identify with, you know, And again we asked
the public that the good folks of the Inland Empire
submit some names. Either tag somebody or give us a story.
Give us the story about a sports mom who's really
done some great things and you feel she should be recognized.

(01:56):
And the winner was able to get I mean just
an assortment of stuff, Coach b I mean they got,
I mean just the makeover. You know, they got the
the executive treatment by the good folks over at Marriott
A Hot Springs. I mean, coach it was the works man.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
That's good stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
It's always nice when you can see those sports moms
because without their help a lot of things wouldn't happen.
I know without my wife when we were doing all
those things for the kids that without her help, a
lot of stuff just would not have happened. So the
sports moms are so important when you think about everything
that they do for the kids. So congratulations to her.

(02:35):
Happy Mother's data.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
All.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
I know we're past it, but happy Mother's Day to
all the mothers out there that we're celebrated and we
certainly appreciate that. That's good stuff. Now I'm going to
say this disclaimer right now. Okay, I'm going to say it.
So when Father's Day comes around, just let us have
our day.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
I don't want to hear that.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I'm both No, No, let us have our days. That's
the shots fired. Let us have our day. That's that's
all I'm saying. Because you see that all the time.
But you know you see that all the time, you know,
so yes, Father's Day is for us, So just let
us have our day.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
You know. Well, Coach B stood over, like he said,
he's stood on business. Absolutely absolutely, we celebrate the mother today. Hey,
and look, let me tell you something we did. This
thing was decorated, Coach B. What we did for these
nice mothers, I mean, we went all out. It started
off big shout out to Miss Sherry Jay. She's over
right now. She is coordinating the makeup. She excuse me,

(03:32):
she is curating the makeover. Experience. So you know, she's
over at Glitter Hair Studio right now. There's another young
lady over there who's doing the makeup. Her name is
beside me, but I'm gonna make sure I get that
name in just a second here, because I don't want
to get myself in any trouble because all these ladies
did so much to help us out. They have a
they have a she's getting her nail. All this stuff

(03:54):
is happening as we speak right now over at the
hair studio in Corona. And then big shot out to
our girl Nikki who made these really really nice decorative
treats and so forth. And then she's gonna get the
wood therapy. That's the thing, Coach Biva. If you've ever
seen when they do all the got the little wood
stuff and they're rubbing out the all the little king

(04:14):
it's a woman thing. I don't know how it goes,
but it's it's you know, it's a huge, big deal.
So she's getting all that stuff. And then as if
we weren't done, we're actually excited because we're gonna have
a representative from Marietta Hot Springs actually call in today.
But again on behalf of the good folks, Marietta Hot Springs.
She's going to get a executive treatment. I mean the

(04:36):
full on relaxation set up. A day relaxation passed plus
two so her and two of her girls can come
out there and again they're gonna get private cabanas and everything.
So it's a great thing.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
You got to love that.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
When you can be treated like that, that's always a
good thing. So congratulations to her. She definitely deserves it.
You know, mothers, As I said, mothers do a lot,
so we we want to congratulate her. So that's really
really good stuff. So that's good to see. You always
want to see the mothers be taken care of and treated.
You gotta love that. But we have a jam packed

(05:10):
show today. We have people in studio, so go ahead
and tell us who do we have in studio?

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Yes, in studio we have this young lady. She's doing
some great stuff out here in the lan Empire. She
just came in right now and told us all the
stuff we were doing. And I was sitting there like, whoa,
my head exploded. The head explosion emoji Coach B. She's
doing a huge event in June. It's called the June
teenth jam and it's just an all inclusive celebration. It's

(05:36):
a festival. There's going to be some sports, there's going
to be some just community activity and some awareness going on.
It's gonna all take place. I believe it's taking place
in the city of Rialto. But we'll have her come
on and give us some more information. So we're really
happy to have Vicki and studio and then Coach b
we have we have one of the representatives of mary
Atta Hot Springs calling in about the great gifts and

(06:00):
give us a little tour about all the amenities that
that great location has. I mean, I just saw excuse me,
I just have the marketing director just sent me in
an aerial shot of all the different features that the
location has. And we're talking about mariad A Hot Springs.
It's just amazing. So really, I don't know if you've
ever been down there, couch, yeah, but it's I mean,
it's it's one. I mean, you know everybody talks about

(06:23):
everybody talks about Glenn Ivy. You know, understood U. But
let me tell you something. Marriett A Hot Springs. They
have some really really nice stuff. I mean, it is nice.
So we're gonna have one of their directors of wellness
calling to the show kind of give us some information.
And then we're also going to have Nikki, one of
the ladies who provided some of the services, as well
as the hair designer Sherry Jay calling later in the

(06:45):
show kind of talk about the experience is going to
be happening taking place today for our big time winner,
who is Miss Sabrina Rivera. And again she is a
she she's one of these ladies, man. I mean, we
were just you know, when you see all the great
comments that were left about her in terms of her nomination.
She has done a lot of stuff and you can
see she means a lot of stuff to a lot
of people.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
So and that's always good to say.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Like we said, get celebrated, and that was you said,
the Mother's Day package.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
Yes, that was the the MVP Mom in the Empire
Mother's Day experience.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
And that's good.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
So we'll have someone calling in a little bit later,
we have someone in studio, so it's going to be
good time.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
So that's always a good thing, you know.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
I don't know if we want to talk about I
am happy even though I'm not, you know, I'm on
the fence down with team I rock with. But I
was happy to see that team in Green go home.
That's all I can say. Yes, whenever I'm like the
late Jerry West, I don't like Green because of that team.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I can't even say their name.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
Yeah, but I.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Don't like Green because of that team. And I was
so happy to see them go away.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
And then that when we tell you something, if there
is any fan base that you see that loses it
when their team wins, it's New York. It is the Knickerbockers. Yes,
I mean they It's been really it's been joyous to
see all the comments, the videos. Well, you know, I
like it because it's bananas. They're like over the top
right now. They are, Oh yeah, you know, I mean

(08:09):
you know since then, you know, when they had Pat Hewing,
I wanted them to beat Jordan. That was it, you
know what I mean? But they could never do it.
So it is what it is. But yes, but again,
the Knicks fans just watching them on TVC and the interviews,
I mean, they are some interesting group of fans. But
they they only the second round guys, Oh no, no,
they are They are losing it right now. New York

(08:29):
fans are just out there in the street. They're fighting people.
It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
They think it was the NBA fight. It was just
the second round. You still have two more rounds.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
And beat a hobbled Boston team, a hobbled Boston team.
So nonetheless, yeah, you know, I know we were talking
about that, and then you have what they're calling this gentleman.
They're calling him the legend killer, and we're talking about nothing.
Nobody else other than the man that walked around the
I was gonna called the stable center. The crypto walked

(08:58):
around did a victur first time I've ever seen anything
like that. After sweeping the Lakers, did a victory tour
on foot.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
I don't think they swept the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
After they they didn't sweep them after they beat them
pretty you know, definitively excuse me, yes, but did a
victory tour on foot around the Crypto some I've never
seen in my life. But yet Anthony Edwards are calling
him the legend killer, Coach b. So we'll see what
happens right now, you know, like you're saying, in the playoffs,

(09:29):
right now, we have s g A taking on the
Joker tomorrow and that will determine who's going to go
to the finals, you know, for the for the on
the Western Conference. So I don't know, you know, sg A,
you know, he gonna get a chance to prove where
he's at right now, because I mean, you know, obviously
as Clippers folks, we saw how legit Denver can be.
So it's gonna be interesting and that all takes place tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I think the one thing about it, since it's in Okay, see,
I think that's going to be.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
A tough agreed, a tough win for.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Them, so I would give the advantage, okay, c I
thought Denver would come out and do it. And is
it just me or does Rick Adaman's son look like
the character from Mad Mad you know, don't even.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
More the old the old paper Public Games.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yes, I don't remember what that character's name was, but
he looks like that character to me.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
So no, I agreed, right, I thought it was kind
of interesting as well. But again it's Fox Sports Radio
Coach being eternal right here. Again, we have a great
show coming up. You guys do not want to miss it.
Don't move a muscle. We're really excited about it. Again,
we are, you know, we are still celebrating uh, the mother,
Coach B. But I do have some good information. Like

(10:40):
you said, Coach B, when it's our day, would you say,
you said by down when you come.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
To my town. Yes, that's it, and just let men
have their.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
Day, that's all. Yeah. So so what in that vein,
Coach B. What we did was this. What we did
was this. We said, you know what we're gonna do
is this. We hooked up with some folks. We have
some big time announcements coming up soon.

Speaker 7 (10:58):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
But Coach B and myself we say, hey, look, as
hard as we go for this Mother's Day celebration, we
need to have the equal the same exact energy, if
not more for the dads because we know the dad's
areas forgot. I know, my dad used to be like
when the father Day come around, He's like, don't even
look at me, you know. You know, I'm just somebody
that sits here and pays the bills, and you know,

(11:19):
so I'm definitely excited about it. Again, I want to
make sure that we do a good job of honoring
the dads, specifically here in the Inland part. There's a
lot of great men out there who are doing some
phenomenal stuff. My man, Coach Be included. A lot of
people are doing some great things, so we want to
make sure that we get a chance to honor the
men as well. So we're in talks right now with

(11:40):
Graham's Barbecue Coach B. We're in contact with them about
doing a very very special Father's Day event. We'll have
more details about that coming up soon. So just make
sure you guys stay tuned, follow us on social media,
let us know what you guys are talking about. You

we try to get her on the phone and call her.
But again it's Coach being Eternal, Coach Be to go ahead,
get read to pay some bills real quick, and then
we'll come back and we'll have a great talk with

Speaker 5 (15:50):
And I am your host eternal right here live at
the at the iHeart Radio Studios. Again, excuse me one
second when we were adjusting this microphone. We are it
is live radio folks. Again, It's like E Turner right
here live in the Gray citat of Riverside broadcasting at
the iHeartRadio Studios. And again you guys can always hear
us every Saturday morning right here. Again, Coach b. We
have some updates as we're waiting for our representative from

(16:14):
Maria to Hot Springs to give us a call. We
have one of the best baseball teams in the entire
nation right here, right up the freeway a little bit. Actually,
I'll be spending some time in that area a little
bit after the show. But we're talking about none other
than Corona High School, Coach B. One of the top
teams right here in the IE, and we recently dropped

(16:38):
the Inland Empire Top ten top ten schools here in
the IE, but we wanted to make sure we got
a chance to go over the top five because right
now we're into the playoffs, only a handful of schools
are still playing. But Coach B, we have some scores.
So we'll go ahead and we'll start with that bottom school.
I have the school for those I have the score

(17:00):
for those two bottom schools. So go ahead, name what's
that first school do we have right there? And I'll
pull up this information to see what we got here.
So you have Ayala Okay, so we have a Yalla's
the first one, and right now a y'alla's doing. You know,
they had a great season again, as you mentioned, they
came in at number five and they have a great
record of nineteen and nine. However, Thursday on the fifteenth,

(17:25):
they fell unfortunately to El Dorado in zero five to
zero match. So again good, you know, great season, a
tip of the cap. T a y'alla had a great season.
But again they got knocked off on Thursday, final score
five to zero. Who you got at number four?

Speaker 3 (17:42):
So coming in at number four, you had sum at
high school.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Yeah, so some a high school and we had them
on the show, coach be two big time players. You know,
one of the pictures is a Clemson commitment. I'll let
you know how legit they are over there. But unfortunately
had to really really tough match, I mean to a
tough game against a team that you always know is
gonna be good. That's Laguna Beats. So again Summit twenty

(18:08):
five and four fell five to seven to Laguna Beats.
But again, congratulations on a fantastic season. We had those
gentlemen in the studio, great kids, great uniform. So it
was a really good thing. Coach b I'm gonna go
ahead and I'll name that school and you can give
us some information about number three. You had Noarco coach

(18:29):
becoming at Norco. What you got on that one?

Speaker 3 (18:30):
So Norko with twenty eight and eight they beat Centennials,
of which is seventeen to ten, the score of nine
to two. I know Norco loves it when they can
get some good back on Sam.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
Oh yeah, anytime coach by. That's one of those ones.
I don't care what it is. They always want that
win right there. And who you got coming in at
number two.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
So coming at number two, you got a quantus was
twenty five and two versus Villa Park of twenty three
and six. Villa Park is always in the mix.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
I can see what I know. There's somewhere in Orange County.
Have you've never been to Villa Park?

Speaker 5 (18:58):
Yeah? Me neither. And you know that's that's one of
those schools you always mentioned specifically in baseball. But as
you said, again Aquantas is really they're showing up, so
they're gonna be playing. So again Norco and Centennial they
played that game I believe took place on Thursday. Now
Aquanas in this next school, we're gonna mention Aquanas plays

(19:18):
on Tuesday. So again that's gonna be a big time game.
So all the community, the folks out there and the
ie you guys will get a chance to come out
there watch that game take place, and it's gonna be
some great baseball. But again, coming at number one, you know,
you know, and everybody's aiming at these guys, but Los
Osos right around the corner is gonna get a shot
at them. We're talking about none other than a Coach

(19:39):
Wise led Corona Panthers coming into this game at twenty
six and two and they'll be taking on the Los
Osos Grizzlies with an overall record of twenty and eight.
And again that game will take place on Tuesdays, So
all the folks, if you guys want something to do,
you guys can make sure you guys travel out there.

(20:00):
Check that game out. Should be some fireworks. Again, that
team is just you know, we had three kids in there,
Coach b who are I mean, who are potentially could
be you know, could go right from high school to
the league. We've talked about how robust that farm system
and so.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
You've got to love it because the one thing about
baseball and I I have a friend, her her son
plays in Brooklyn right now, and he's in the minor
league system and that's that's I think she said he's
had seven home runs this season, So I mean he's
bawling so and did you running jokes? Is once she
quits her job, that's when you'll know her son got
called out. So so it's good to see these baseball

(20:35):
they have the best minor league system of them all.
You've got to love the way the kids just disappear
for a little bit and then they come out, I
mean based as a Major leaguers.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
Like grown men, like you know, and like you said,
they get a chance to watch and participate in a
pro type schedule, pro type workouts. You know, they you know,
they work on the diet, all the things that makes
you a high end athlete. You know, they get a
chance to do that. So that's always good to see it.
Excuse me again, that's the Inland Empire top five. We
just broke down the top five and again, if you

(21:05):
want to see the whole top ten, you guys can
go to our social media and again that's at I
E Sports Net. At I E Sports Net, it looks
like it looks like our interview. There's some challenges right
there with our call in. So what we're gonna do,
Coach By, We're gonna take a quick break and then
we'll go ahead and we'll come in and then we

(21:26):
have a in studio guest. We'll get a chance to
talk to her a little bit about what she has
going on. A big time event right here in the
Inlien Empires. Well again, phenomenal stuff. I mean, you know
she came in the studio on totus coach. But it's
just a big, big time decorated festival that includes some
sports and all kinds of other things.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
So and you know one thing, I was going to say,
baseball on Saturday, testcar, this is Hernandez for the Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
I have no idea how to say it. Yea a
deskcar or somebody there.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
You go, he's going to be playing for the Quakes today. Yeah,
so they got him. He's getting called up, so he
has some rea. I saw that yesterday. So I'm sure
those Tigers are sawid.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
A Dodger out, Yeah, because I remember one time that
because they had Mooki over there.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
There they had and then Manny's world was there before.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
Now it's funny you said that, coach, we transitioned into that.
I know you've heard some word about it, but you
know how again, the Quakes are going to be relocating.
They're no longer going to be the Rancho Cucamonga Quake.
I don't know how much you know about that.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
So yeah, it's so it's an interesting thing. So one
company actually is a really powerful company. They bought so
the team that owns the Quakes will now own the
team that's moving to Ontario.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
The sixty six Yers will.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Move to Rancho, and then they're going to put a
new team in San Bernardino. So those three teams are
all owned now by the same company.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
So yes, and that shows you how much pool. I mean,
the stadium they're building in Ontario is gonna be like
one hundred million.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
Dollars for silly Yeah, I mean I saw the groundbreaking.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yes, it's insane.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
Yeah. No, that lets you know right there, and that
you know, and we've already said that that quake stadium
is top of the line already. You know that's that's
a real not anymore. No, clearly, Yeah, that's gonna be
just gonna be step brother, I mean, you know, and
again no, no, no, uh no, shade as the kids
would say on the on the sixty sixter stadium, because
I like that stadium too. I mean it has that
real aesthetic feel, you know what I mean, it's almost

(23:17):
kind of like reminds me of the Chicago Cubs Stadium.
You don't have that nostalgic field, but nonetheless again great stadium,
and it's great to see that all this, these great
things are happening right here live in the ill An Empire.
Because you know, again, if you guys haven't gotten a
chance to go out to games. We coached B and I.
We actually had a campaign where we had a young
lady go out there and throw first pitch. That was

(23:38):
a great deal right there as well. So so again
it's always great we know we've got a chance to
be there. They treat you really nice, and it's and
it's close intimate seating where you can see some big
time starts. So if you guys haven't been over there
to watch a Quakes or a sixty six ers game,
or what's even the team in Lake Elsin.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Or Lake elsinor that's the uh Storm Lake elsinor Storm.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
Yeah, so so all those games you get a chance
to go out there. Great facilities. So if you guys
get a chance to make it out there and make
it a family day, go out there. And check out
some great baseball.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Yes, that's a really good place to be, so you
gotta love that.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
So, yes, we're gonna take a quick break when we
come back again, we have a very very special guest

Marriott Hot Springs. It was my era caller. If you
could please be so kind as to introduce yourself to
our live radio audience, please.

Speaker 10 (27:05):
Oh my pleasure. Thank you so much for having me.
My name is Carrie. I am the community Wellness and
Membership manager here at maria Ata Hot Springs Resort in Mariatta, California.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
Fantastic carry. Thank you so much for your patience. We
appreciate it. I know you were trying to call in,
so again, thank you so much for connected with that.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Now now, of course.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Cameron sent us. He sent me that dynamic drone video
of the whole property there. It is just massive and elaborate.
If you'd be kind enough to kind of just describe
to our audience, d you know what people see when
they get there, that that just you know, again we'll
talking about Maria To Hot Springs. It's just a fantastic location.

Speaker 10 (27:48):
Absolutely so yes, and I'm so glad to hear that
you saw the drone picture because it's a beautiful representation
of what we have to offer here. So It really
is a gorgeous property that is over one hundred years old.
We are a historic southern California oasis, literally one hundred

(28:11):
year rich history, and it really is all of this
beautiful mission style architecture amongst really beautiful tranquil gardens as
well as all of our amazing geothermal mineral spring waters.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Excellent.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
And then tell me a little bit about the facility.
If someone wants to come there, someone wants to book
and they want to come out and have a day
of pampering, is there a website?

Speaker 11 (28:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (28:38):
How can they go about doing that?

Speaker 11 (28:41):
Yes?

Speaker 10 (28:41):
Thank you? So, yeah, just the website is going to
be the best way for people to connect with us.
So just mury At a Hot Springs resort will come
up and you have all the different options of coming
for the day. You can book a twilight pass if
you would just like to come for the evening. We

(29:01):
have some different options for our day passes and what
that all includes. You also have the ability to come
as a group, book private groups, any events happening, and
then also our beautiful overnight stay. So we are a
full resort with overnight amenities as well.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
Yeah, that is incredible. Again, it's just an amazing location. Again,
we're talking to carry over at Mariada Hot Springs. Now,
let me ask you this, do you have a favorite
And I know you've you've probably got a chance to
see everything over there, but do you have a favorite
amenity did you guys offer over there?

Speaker 10 (29:40):
It's hard to say just what. Well, definitely, just to
be able to sit and soak in our geothermal mineral
springs is one of my favorite things to do on
a daily basis here. But what a lot of people
don't know is that we do have a lot of
amenities on property, one being our mud cove. So we

(30:03):
have a beautiful bent tonight clay that's from the Mojave Desert.
It comes to us in a powder form and we
mix it with our geo thermo mineral spring water and
it just creates this beautiful clay mask that you can
put on your whole body to pull toxins and detoxify.

(30:25):
Another thing we have on property is guided cold plunge
experiences with one of our wellness instructors. So we take
you through a round of contrast bathing going from a
hot spring into the cold and talk about the beautiful
health benefits of that as well as daily gratitude ceremonies

(30:45):
that we do every day at four o'clock just to
bring a pause to the day and bring to mind
something we're grateful for.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
Fantastic. Well again, thank you so much. Again, care if
you don't mind, please give us that website one more
time where folks can all gone and make sure they
can book their personal great time over. Yeah, the great
Maria the Hot Springs.

Speaker 10 (31:09):
It's my pleasure. So yeah, if everybody just types in
Mariada Hot Springs Resorts, it will come up as www
dot Miriada dot sorry, mriata Dash Hotsprings dot com. Fantastic again, thanks,
we would love to have you Ford of Rest and Rejuvenation.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Yes, indeed we're looking for I got it. We have
to get down there. I mean, because I'm telling you
I was so impressed, you know. Again, thank you to
Cameron for setting us all up. Uh those pictures and
again that that drone foot is there. It was just incredible.
So you guys have an incredible place there.

Speaker 10 (31:48):
Thank you so much. We really do love it and
hope that you will come out to experience it for yourself.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Yes, indeed, well, thank you so much. You enjoyed the
rest of your weekend, and we appreciate you calling it.

Speaker 10 (31:58):
Thank you so much too.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Here it is right there, that is so that's wonderful
right there, Coach B. That is Carrie over at the
wonderful Maria of Hot Springs. Again. She's one of our
big sponsors of the Mother's Day experience all that is
taking place. Actually, we have our mother is going she's
going through that whole makeover process today again, so we're

(32:22):
really happy we're able to connect the doctor with carry
and again big shout out the camera for making this
all happen. However, we are going to transition right in.
We have a very special pluid that microphone up. I
know you were waiting patiently. Thank you so much. We
have a very very special guest right here live in studio.
Young lady, please do us the courtesy of introducing yourself
to our live radio audience.

Speaker 12 (32:42):
Please awesome, Thank you so much. My name is Vicky
Davis and I'm the founder of our Juneteenth Jam event.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Fantastic good stuff right there now. Now you said, how
long have you been doing put a microphone up real quick,
and now how long have you been doing this? Again? Now,
how long has this have been been going on?

Speaker 12 (32:57):
This is our third year.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
Okay, so give us some background on how you got started,
why you thought this event was important to present to
the community.

Speaker 12 (33:04):
Okay. So, actually, in the first year that this event
was founded, our mayor at the time was working to
establish Juneteenth as a citywide holiday in the city of
Rialto and I had been hosting Entrepreneurs Expo in the
city for about six years at that time, and so
she reached out to me and she says, Vicky, you know,
we really need a Juneteenth celebration because we're going to

(33:27):
have this city wide holiday and we need to, you know,
create a space where our city celebrates this event officially.
And I was like, I don't know, Mayor, I already
got my hands full with the Entrepreneur's Expo. I don't
know if I can take anything else. And I think
she started kind of putting a bug out in people's ears,
because then I literally started getting calls from all different
people in the community like, hey, I heard you were
going to do Juneteenth. I heard you were going to

(33:49):
do Juneteenth. And I was like, well, you know what,
I'm for real getting called I'm being called Juneteenth. And
after about twenty or some of those calls, I said, well,
I'm doing a juneteen celebration and it is blossomed into
something amazing that I couldn't even have imagine.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Congratulations, that's good, you're volunteer.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
And that's Robertson.

Speaker 12 (34:09):
That was Mayor Deva Robertson.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Yes, yes, yes, great, I've met her a couple of times.
Very very good.

Speaker 12 (34:15):
Person, wonderful lady.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
Yes, So talk to us about your event. What can
people enjoy? What can they get when they get there,
when they show up?

Speaker 12 (34:22):
Okay, so I'm gonna try to squeeze it all in,
but we have so much going on.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
Take your time to tell you, but this is this
is your this is your like your PSA do you think?

Speaker 6 (34:31):
Okay?

Speaker 12 (34:31):
Okay, So on the surface, when you get there, you
will experience so many different activities and.

Speaker 5 (34:37):
Let me get me party real quick. Now, where does
this have been taking place? I'm sorry, I should have
should have should be on.

Speaker 12 (34:41):
June nineteenth in rialto Alex Ferguson Park. Okay, fantastic in
Rialto from four to nine pm. So we have so
many different activations happening. So on the basketball court, we
have a women's three on three basketball tournament. This I'm
really excited about. I played basketball. I didn't ever get

(35:03):
to play officially, but I have some friends who did
get to play.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
Yes, Oh, I saw you had like Carrington playing over there,
the young ladies. She went on MVP.

Speaker 12 (35:10):
We know her well so, yes, so Carrington Chloe Wells,
she is a coach. Wells former professional basketball player overseas.
And then Mani who is the founder of our women's
pro am dime league here in the Inland Empire. So
and also Fentwood Hoops, who is the founder of a
street basketball in the Inland Empire. That's my basketball crew.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
We are working really.

Speaker 12 (35:33):
Diligently to create an equitable situation for women's basketball here
in the i e. By offering a cash prize, by
offering rewards that are comparable to what we usually see
in our men's tournaments, which are becoming more and more
prevalent here.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
And I agreed, no question about it.

Speaker 12 (35:47):
So the women who are the first twenty women on
the court will receive a gift bag that is hand
curated by our i E. Black Women's Collective and will
include products that are that are handcraft artists in for
and by black women. In addition to that, they'll receive
a custom Juneteenth basketball because you know they're hoopers, right.

(36:08):
So then we'll also have a three point shootout contest
that's open to the general community and will have small
prizes for those who participate.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
What about for radio hosts, it just might have a
good jump shot out.

Speaker 12 (36:18):
I know what for radio hosts, we have a spot
for you right there on the court if you want
to just moderate the whole thing there, you just come
out there, you set up a microphone, iHeart rate and
make sure that our ladies get the attention.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
I like, she's like, she translated negotiator.

Speaker 7 (36:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
But I'll ask you, this is a lot because you
said you have you say you have a sea of
volunteers that get involved into this. We do what is
the and your your you are a mom as well.
Happy happy late Mother's Day. I said, your daughter's ready
for her competition today. But why is it so important
for you to do this to give back?

Speaker 12 (36:53):
So it is important for me because look, I'll tell you.
When I was twelve years old, my family started our business,
and that business was boarding care facilities for mentally ill adults.
And at that time, my mom transitioned our home to
a facility where we provided housing for teenage girls, and
so I grew I grew up right with our clients

(37:15):
in learning and understanding the privilege of being able to
advocate for people who are not able to do that
for themselves, and the responsibility that you have when you
have the capacity and the skill set to do that.
And so it really just became a part of my
values and my character. I became a licensed marriage and
family therapist. I've done clinical supervising work, i have a

(37:36):
private practice, and I've done a lot of community organizing,
set on the board for several different communities. I'm currently
serving as Commissioner of Workforce Development for Samardino County. And
it's really just in my bones and it's in my
heart and I feel great doing it.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
Rapper producer Ceo.

Speaker 12 (37:55):
Actually, now that you mentioned it, I do have a
couple hours.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Reality. I just want to make Vicky Davis the I
c K I on Apple Music, Spotify.

Speaker 6 (38:11):
I can't find it, but.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
You got me at Jo's. I've been with the wife
now for thirty years married, we're going on what twenty five.
I can't believe that, uh, marriage, your family counseling. You
got me there, so that's what we may have. I
need to get your you know, because I need to
open up and I need an advocate. I need someone
that's going to advocate for me.

Speaker 12 (38:29):
You know, I have I have a running show going
in that and a friend of mine he's telling me, like, Vicky,
is probably time to change it, and maybe after this
show it is. But the entire the entire Inland Empire
has my phone numbers.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
On every flout out there. Put it out there, so it.

Speaker 12 (38:43):
Is nine five one two, five five seven three eight two.
If you want to get connected with Juneteenth, or if
you need therapy services, or if you want to volunteer.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
You didn't have to look at me what you said, like,
I can see you need some help.

Speaker 5 (38:56):
She like, I can see you need them.

Speaker 12 (38:58):
But just turning back to to what we have going
on on, Jim t I want to make sure that
all of our coordinators get attention. We've got tons going
on in the basketball court. On the football court, we
have a flag football tournament and free clinic that's being
hosted by Gary Walker, who's a former professional football player
who's from rialso he played for the Baltimore Ravens and
also Taiwan Green who has a Dreams Training facility which

(39:19):
is about empowering and encouraging youth through the sports and
through athletics, So they'll be hosting that tournament on the
football field. It includes six, eight, ten, and twelve U.
And then also we have on the stage so many
awesome performers. We have cam Narley coming out. We have
Noah James, we have t Spokes, we have Christine Marie.

(39:39):
We have my own little baby right here and that's
a mutan. She is an opera singer.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
Asked see you soon. You said that because she was
over there, she was like in chill mode. But you
said that she got the star came out.

Speaker 12 (39:53):
So we have so many things. And then we have
an art exhibit that's being curated by the Grits and
he is curated an exhibit around celebrating the heritage and history,
past president and future of black women in the Inland
Empire who are serving and who will one day serve,
and that who will one day serve leads us into
our Miss Juneteenth pageant. Yes, and I am really passionate

(40:15):
about this pageant being the first year because I've wanted
to start a scholarship for a long time, and so
being able to launch a scholarship is really is really
a privilege to be able to do that. But the
terms of this scholarship are very important to me because
every child, you know, doesn't have the opportunity and the
resources to succeed, to succeed athletically and academically, but they

(40:36):
do have the heart and the will and the determination
that deserves to be recognized because long term, as adults,
as we all go through the world, those are the
things that really hold us down and get us.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
No question, I think she knows me because when she
said they can't succeed athletically, it took me like it's
probably because yeah, it took me twenty four years to
get a four year degree, but I got it.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
That's all that matters. But it's like get a key word.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
Yeah, you look like you might need some help. But
this stuff right there now again again we have We're
really happy to have you. I mean, there's a lot
of stuff. It's all happening again. It's all taking place
at the location Time and Data.

Speaker 12 (41:17):
Game Place at Alex Ferguson Park on June nineteenth, from
four to nine pm and it is robust.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
You're gonna get that, because that was one of the
reasons why we you know, we saw the fly and
we would just every day will be a different picture
on there. Different. I was like, it must be a
lot of stuff going on.

Speaker 12 (41:33):
Because you know what, it is an absolute true collective.
All of the people who are participating are are leveraging
the platforms that they've built for themselves to and opening
those audiences up to their brother, their sisters, their neighbor
who has a business who needs support expanding, and in
this way, they're all expanding. And so people say community

(41:53):
over competition all the time, but they don't be sharing
that fly.

Speaker 5 (41:56):
They don't execute right about that.

Speaker 12 (41:59):
That's why we have all of those different flowers, because
everybody in our collective is sharing and supporting, encouraging one another.
Another really great thing, a cool thing that I'm excited
about is our June teenth cookoff. So we have a
partner with mister Taste Buds and also a Chef to
the Bone and there.

Speaker 5 (42:17):
Will be judge those right there.

Speaker 12 (42:20):
Come on over there, they're gonna be judging some of
our local chefs in an oxtails cookoff.

Speaker 5 (42:25):
Okay, okay, oxtails. Do they have veggie ox tails?

Speaker 4 (42:29):
No, ancktail is a pig. But I'm just saying the
family they.

Speaker 12 (42:36):
Might be able to get some jackfruit.

Speaker 6 (42:38):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (42:38):
See, I mean like I was trying to see if
I can get Okay, all right, Well, you know, I
guess I've been out voted by by the You know, you.

Speaker 12 (42:45):
Can put the challenge out there that you want to
see a vegan oxtail presentation, but I.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
Don't know how it's gonna what I want to get.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
Because I can get, I can throw down on the microwave.
So if you have a contest for the microwave, I
am there. That is my because I burned water, but
that is my thing.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
I'm all for it.

Speaker 7 (43:05):
You know what I do have.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
I do have something going on where I need some
people to carry for.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
Shocky.

Speaker 5 (43:12):
My back is situated. But again, thank you so much, Vicky. Again,
wonderful stuff. Yeah, this is great. I'm glad we got
a chance to you know, get you in studio. Have
you talk about this wonderful stuff again? Please just real
quick before we let you go again that time, that
day location and again you know, you know, give you
a PSA one more time while I folks.

Speaker 12 (43:30):
It coming out, So come out because June teenth, JAM
is supporting the infrastructure on our community at every level, social, emotionally, financially,
and it is at Alex Ferguson Park at Rialto, California
on June nineteenth from four to nine pm. And if
you don't already follow me on Instagram, follow me at
Vicky v I C K I E. Davis Wellness and

(43:52):
my number nine five one two five five seven three
A two. For those of you who are a little
more technically challenge and just want to tap in like that,
I'll make my self available or a member of my
team to support you and getting connected with some of
the cool things that we have going on, or connecting
with their programs that run year round beyond Juneteenth, where
this is just a platform to kind of bring them
together and make sure you know what they're doing to

(44:13):
support us all year.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Aks.

Speaker 5 (44:14):
You stuff right that well again, we appreciate it, Thank
you so much. Again. We're gonna make sure we'll take
some pictures with you when we get done. But I
appreciate you. Appreciate young Dar bringing your daughter out again.
Everybody that's supporting you. You clearly have a big support system.
So keep up the good work. Pleasure to have you
on the airday.

Speaker 12 (44:31):
Okay, I feel so blessed to be here. I really
appreciate you.

Speaker 5 (44:34):
Fantastic that good stuff Fox Sports Radio. Coach. But here's
what we're gonna do. We're just gonna transition. We have
our caller here. This is one of the ladies who
supported us in our Mother's Day campaign. So here, Yeah,
here's what we're gonna do real quick. Took the phone.
Here's what we're gonna do. Great, We're gonna do a
quick transition. Now, caller, you are alive on Fox Sports Radio.

(44:58):
Please do us the courtesy of introducing yourself to our
live radio audience.

Speaker 11 (45:03):
Hi, good morning, everybody. Name and I am the owner
of the Sweet Treating Crafts and Firelex.

Speaker 6 (45:10):
Body there it is right there.

Speaker 5 (45:12):
Thank you so much for calling in. We appreciate it. Now,
Coach B didn't get a chance to see I should
have showed them your fantastic, fantastic decoration that you did,
uh for for our MVP mom winner. I mean, I
was taking the black. I couldn't I couldn't believe what
you were able to get done. But for the people
that maybe you know that we're gonna get a chant.

(45:34):
We're gonna post obviously a little bit later on. But
talk about your business. Talk about the great things that
you have going on.

Speaker 11 (45:40):
So for sweet treats and crafts, it is basically that
planning company from start to finish as far as parties
are concerned. Events, A lot of customization when it comes
to treats, I do like edible images, custom berries for me,
berries where it's Christy treats, chocolate covered orioles, flower arrangements.
I kind of do everything across the board from start

(46:02):
to finish when it comes to different events.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
And talk to me a little bit, how exciting was
this for you to be involved in this great Mother's
Day promotion to honor some of these mothers of the
Inland Empire.

Speaker 11 (46:18):
I'm a mother myself. I have two kids, so it
meant a lot for me to be able to donate
my time and be able to produce a super beautiful
floral arrangement with her custom edible image on it, just
to show from mother to mother, like, I'm very appreciative
of great mothers that are throughout the Inland Empire.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
Absolutely, Now are you going to give love to the
fathers on Father's Day.

Speaker 4 (46:41):
That's that's what.

anything on this one, maybe I could do something for

(48:45):
the files a day. So we're I mean, let me
tell you something, This Father's Day thing we're gonna do
is going to be over the top. We have a
lot of vendors that we couldn't unfortunately put in this
particular campaign, but we will be tapping them on the
shoulder for this Father's Day campaign. Again, this is coming up.
We were in talks right now with Graham's Barbecue right
in downtown Riverside about doing a real, real big Father's

well deserved. She had a lot of great recommendations and
I can see exactly why they recommended her as she sits.

somebody that deserves it.
