Speaker 1 (00:01):

sports show on radio, The Coach b An Eternal Show.
And here are your hosts, the Pride of Riverside Eternal
and straight out of Downy Coach B. Gentlemen, it's all yours.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
This is Coach being the Turner on Fox Sports Radio
Herd in Southern California, Fox Sports Am thirteen fifty.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
I am your host, Coach B.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
And I am your host eternal, right here live and
a great city of Riverside at the iHeartRadio Studios here
in the great city of Riverside, on a spectacular Saturday morning.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Coach B. How you feeling now?
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Feeling good man? It's going to be a wonderful day.
The wife and I after my daughter. She'll be turning.
She turned twenty five on the eleventh. So now she's
down in Newport of whatever somewhere down there, so we
have to go. She's doing some birthday extravaganza, so we
have to go down there and set her up. Okay,
the wife was a plaining it to me this morning.
I have no idea. I just know that I'm the
(01:02):
driver so I will be out there driving to see
but my daughter's doing some big extravaganza.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
So that's what that's what my weekend look like. That
good stuff right there.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah, no, we will be It's all kinds of great
things going on right now. I know we have a
really really nice show lined up today. We have a
lot of good stuff going on. I got the email,
and anytime, you know, you get these, you get an
(01:32):
email like this.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I said, hey, you know you have my attention.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
I got an email earlier this week from excuse me, from.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
The good folks.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Now you know this is a long time coming, but
from the good folks, from the Dallas Cowboys that invited
me back out to the great city of Oxnard to
join them for potentially potentially their final training camp here
in California.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Since they've built some brand new you know, Jerry.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Daddy big Bucks has he broke out this brand new facility,
so they might be uh discontinuing their their runover in Oxnar.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
So we'll get a chance to talk to.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
A young lady who is doing some great stuff, Brittany
over at visit Oxnard. And there's some of the people
that are going to be hosting the Dallas Cowboys out there.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
So that's exciting stuff. I'm really excited about that.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
That'll be happening next week and so like right after
the show, we'll be jetting right out there to go
in the great city of box Star to go check
out America's football team, Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, remind you of I know in Florida, they did
a story The Spectrum does a really good job of
talking about the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
And their history.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yes, and Vero Beach pretty much revolved around the Dodgers
coming to town.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
And you think of all the Dodger greats that would.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Go to training camp when they used to go all
the way to Florida, to Vero Beach, Florida, and it's
still it's like a shrine to them where they're still
out there.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
So it's it's it's it's pretty interesting.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
So you think about that, you think about that history,
so you hate to see someone leave. I remember, you
remember years ago the Lakers used to go to Hawaiian Yes, yeah,
and its like that.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
So I remember, like you know that that's another thing
that used to be a big TV.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Mussy is when you know they'd.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Have magic on there on the plane going out there
hanging out in Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I remember that. I used to be a big deal. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
So it's it's when you see stuff like that and
you just hate to see the history and the tradition
of something go away.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
But interestingly enough, I think.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Jim Harball gets it, and Jim Harball is I would
say he's the goat of goats when you think of
a training camps and things like that. He started out
at University of San Diego, which is now Division one.
They had an incredible running basketball.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Yes they did.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
I remember years ago, you know, when GCU was trying
to find their way in basketball. We went down there,
this is probably twenty eighteen, twenty seventeen eighteen, and they
played San Diego and Sandy slapped them around. And at
the time they would this small little program. But they've
elevated up to Division one. I think there's like nine
hundred and ninety two Division one basketball programs now. I
don't know it's exaggeration, but you know, he went to
(04:09):
San Diego, slapped people around, went to Stanford and that's
where famously Pete Carroll said, what's your deal? You know
when they were beating him. They went for two. It's
almost like I forget what coach it was. And they said,
why'd you go for two? He said, because it couldn't
go for three. But you're out there to win, You're
not out there to make friends.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
And what a long thing.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I'm saying is I'm happy about this because I have
friends in San Diego. The Chargers are going to do
some training camp stuff in San Diego, which I think
is smart because you could have La and San Diego. Yes,
you need to embrace those fans. And by the way,
do you see the Clippers have a team in San Diego.
So that's the one thing I would say, when we
like a team, we just go to San Diego and
(04:49):
get them.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah, that's what it is right there.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
And again, I mean I personally think that's you know,
I've been pushing for the Chargers to really do something
to end brace that fan base because I mean, again,
you know that that was a huge fan base out
there that really supported the Chargers, and you know, and
obviously you see what they did. They never did any
I mean, they kept playing in the Jack Murphy Stadium,
(05:11):
never did anything, you know, never built the stadium.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
So that thing was terrible. That was a horrible facility.
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
I mean, you know, then you would think to yourself,
this is a professional this is a professional football, pro football,
NFL facility. I mean the NFL team playing like you know,
again at Jack the worst of the worst right there.
I mean, you know, I mean, it was great to
see the Charges there, but it was just, oh, that
stadium was horrible.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
It's kind of like when they did the story about
the Raiders. The Raiders left LA because they couldn't get
a stadium done, and Al Davis was talking about it.
They wanted him to have two teams in there. It's like,
I don't understand why LA always feels they have to
have too. I don't know if they feel inferior to
New York.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
But you don't have to have to, you do, you
really don't, But oh, go ahead, I place, you got it.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
But on the flip side, that is the Charger's fault
because remember they were going to build Farmers Field and
they just needed one even to come out, and this.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Team could have been the Chargers and the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Alone, so they had that opportunity to do it. But
let's get back to some local news. You said you're
pretty excited about this Corona boy.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Let me tell you something, Coach be really really exciting stuff.
We've had these we've been working with Coach Wise. Now,
I should have sent him a text message. They had
him on Big Fox. He was on there, sitting down
talking to When that happens, people stop answering. That ur
So that's Jade. Oh man, Hey, look, that's a whole
(06:30):
We're gonna talk about that around a thirty minute, Around
a thirty minute. At the thirty minute mark of the show,
I will talk about my Jade and Daniels experience over
at Cohon High School last week. I will definitely I
saw why I let did you bring pineapples?
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Oh? No, you did not? All right, so people got
to know you got Hey, you gotta hear the song.
Hear the song.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
You gotta hear the song to know. You gotta hear
the song to know. But he was out there, I mean,
he didn't get the memo. This brother had on a sweatshirt,
a hoodie sweatshirt. I was out They're hot in the
Fox shirt.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
It's California.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yeah, it's all I got from government?
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Is kay for yes? But yeah?
Speaker 4 (07:09):
But again, but you know, I talk about that a
little bit later on ED you was saying history Coach
b was made. You had Corona High School, and they
were talking about this team, Corona High the baseball team,
being one of the best teams, not just in California,
not just in the nation. But they're talking about maybe ever.
Obviously they they fell to a couple of teams. But again,
(07:33):
you know, when people look at that the way that
they lost, I mean, these are they're traveling all over
the place, and they've beaten such high school kids, high
school kids, and they've beat such high quality kids. But nonetheless,
first time I think they're saying this might have been
the first time ever, Coach b if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
The first time ever. That's three in the first round.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Yes, where you've had three players, uh selected in the
first round of the Major League Baseball Draft.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
And it was just real, real great stuff.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
You know, a lot of people knew about Sethnandez who
ended up going to the Pirates.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
I mean, he was just you know, great kid, great standout.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Again been in the studio with us, So a big
shot out to coach Wise for always making those young
men available. But then you saw right there and you know,
and again this is a picture, right handed picture too. Sethernandez,
he went number six to the Pirates. And then you
had Billy Carson, who was really really, you know, again
a standout player. I mean they call him, I get
(08:34):
I think they call him like a multi tool player.
I have to call Camelo about the language about that.
But Billy Carson ended up going over to the White Sox.
And I don't know if you want to read that
right there, coach b but obviously our guy Ebel, Rady Ebel,
who is the son of the Dodgers third base coach,
he ended up going thirty second to the Milwaukee Brewers.
(08:56):
So all these kids just, I mean, we're really excited
for on this video we posted we reposted a video
excuse me of Seth Hernandez as he was getting drafted.
And I don't know if they call that like a
lottery in baseball. But again, just going in the top
ten is a huge, huge accomplishman. Again, really just having
those those kids go out there being selected. Three kids
(09:19):
from the same high school be selected in the first round.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah, two of them in the top two of them
in the top ten. Seth Hernandez is selected six by
the Pitchburgh Pirates.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Billy Carlston was selected.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Tenth by the Chicago White Sox, and then Brady Ebel,
friend of the Show, was selected thirty second overall by
the Milwaukee Brewers and then also drafted and going to
the Arizona Diamondbacks. Later in the draft, the six hundred
and third overall pick. What's Ethan Binghaman. So you see
you have four players. But here's the one thing about
(09:51):
when you say you talked talked up to Camelo. When
players are drafted that late, sometimes they'll go to college. Correct,
So we'll see what he does on that. But I mean,
what an accomplishment. Never in the history it says Corona
High School made Major League Baseball Draft league history by
becoming the first high school to have three players selected
(10:12):
in the top fifty in the same year.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Believe that is insane.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Four overall that is, and then Ebel's little brother they said,
may be better.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Well, I mean, now think about this now again, We've
had this kid in the studio with it. That's the
kid who said he walked up and he said, you know,
he just shakes hands with Derek Jeter like it's nothing.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, And show hey hit that walk off one.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I was there. I was like, what I do, That's
what I do.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
But no, but and then also you have the the
other young man who is mister Murray, who was really well,
you know, again, everybody's excited about him.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Murray may even go higher.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
Uh So again they have a great deal of talent,
so they can literally have two more kids to get
drafted high in the first round. Again, so really really
good stuff going on over there at Corona Baseball. And
you know, and again I feel really really you know
again privileged that we've been able to watch this team,
uh really just do some wonderful things. Right before Eyes
(11:14):
had him in studio talk to these kids, really really
great kids. And again obviously lived by coach wise.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
And it's it's funny because his dad was on they
were on Petro some money, Dino Ebel, he's a third
base coach, third base coach over at the Dodgers, and
he was talking about Joe Kelly, uh, the local kid.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
So he was saying, rona guy. Yes.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
So he was explaining the process and he you know,
and I feel good to mention it because he said
it on the air. And he said, you know, because
the two evil brothers started off at at Awanda, you know,
Maya at Awanda, My you know, my kids went and
he said, Joe Kelly said, hey, if you're ever thinking
about making a move or do anything, you got to
go talk.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
To coach Wise.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
And that's where the whole thing started to set in
the motion because Kelly and and and one thing that
Ebel said, he said, when they're there, they practice fundamentals.
I think he said it was nine fundamentals. They practice
every single day. And this is the one thing that
people don't understand. They don't realize. You know, they see
the highlights of Jordan flying through the air, dunking on people,
they say, Kobe, they see all those highlights, but Kobe
(12:16):
was And if you ever see the Redeemed Team on Netflix,
you know you think of superstars, Lebron James, you know, Carmelo,
Anthony d Wade, all of them said they fell in
line when they saw the way Kobe's work ethic was
and these are some of the greatest people to ever
play the game. And they yielded to Kobe and said,
you know, that's what you have to do.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
That's how you become great. Yeah, that's no doubt about it.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Man Again, Kobe, I remember that vividly where you know
Lebron Mello. All those guys were like, they're coming in
from the club and Kobe's going to the.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Gym, going to the gym.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
So yeah, the best one was a dude guard that's
on ESPN now when Jason William, Yeah, when he tells
the story, Kobe said, hey, when you come in, and
he said, Kobe was in the full sweat when he
got there. He got there in the morning, and then
when he was done, Kobe was still playing. And Kobe said,
I just wanted you to know you're never gonna outwork me.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
And that's where you got to be. No, you have
to be that.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
You have to definitely be that again, coach being eternal

couple of weeks. And you know he's out in London.
He's fighting next week. There's a lot of great step
going on. So again, you guys don't want to miss this.
It's gonna be a great interview. We're gonna take a
quick break and then when we come back, when we
come back, excuse.
Speaker 3 (13:50):

so we're gonna have her coming in and help me
out with that. Again, you're listening to Coach Being Eternal.

great city of Riverside at the iHeartRadio Studios.

And this young lady.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Don't she's smiling now, but don't let the smooth taste
fool you. She has rights and hooks. I saw this picture.
Look are you right handed?
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Okay, okay, I saw the look. I said, that looks devastating.
I don't hit nobody with that right there, but please
do us the courtesy of introducing yourself to our live
radio audience.
Speaker 8 (16:50):
Hi, everyone, this is Mighty Brooks Sibrian and I am
so happy to be here. But first, before we continue,
can I get something out first?
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Please? Please?
Speaker 9 (17:00):
I want to have my mighty Ma moment.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Okay, what's.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
Right?
Speaker 3 (17:05):
I love it. I like that he's bringing the energy.
I like that. Good, good, good. Now you have a
number one. You are. I heard about this training regiment.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
I mean, and that's the one thing, uh, I got
a chance to I spoke to Sugar Shane, his son,
and I was talking to him about you know, I
know how you know your boxing.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
He was.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
He was letting me know there's no time off because
you always have to kind of prepare because you never know,
you can get that phone call and you want to
be ready. Talk about the training, I mean, because boxing
is one of the sports that you have to really
the training is so so intense, but kind of talk
to audience about your training regimen and just the training
the boxes in general.
Speaker 8 (17:46):
Yeah, boxing in general, well, one, it's unforgiving, so you know,
it's an unforgiving sport, so you have to stay ready,
you know, year round. There's also no season, and I
put it in quot again, like you mentioned, you can
be fighting year round. We've been really active ourselves, nine
fights in eighteen months as a professional. So again, yeah,
(18:10):
we trained six days a week, two to three times
a day, depending if we're pre camp or during camp.
But generally it's you know, always running, getting that work,
roadwork and uh, strength conditioning and of course the bag
and the myth, the boxing training aspect and sparring.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Of course, now you're you're fighting out the CV.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Now, one thing you say, you've you trained three times
a day, six days a week.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
What are you what are you doing? What are you eating?
The nutrition?
Speaker 2 (18:40):
I mean, there's so much because you're probably are you
eating because I remember I watched the documentary and Ronnie
Coleman it looks like he ate a chicken farm.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
So what are you eating? What are you doing? What
are you training?
Speaker 8 (18:49):
I mean in general, it's a very high protein, moderate
carbs because you need it obviously for you know, to
have that.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
I'm not an athlete, so I don't know.
Speaker 8 (18:58):
I know, you're right, thanks for Yeah, so moderate carbs.
Sometimes if it's sparring days, you can a little bit
higher carbs.
Speaker 9 (19:06):
That's you know, fuel.
Speaker 8 (19:08):
So generally speaking, though, high protein and just whole clean
food we cook at home and gallon of water daily,
especially out here in the valley. It's this heat is
unforgiving and but yeah, a lot of recovery, you know.
I I nap a lot.
Speaker 9 (19:27):
I schedule my naps.
Speaker 8 (19:28):
I do a lot of sleep sleep training because it's
one of those things that we take for granted, but
sleep is incredible for recovery.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
And then I.
Speaker 8 (19:37):
Am I've been partnered with a wellness boutique out in
Rancho Mirage called Renew and they do they provide a
lot of services to compressions and hyperbaric chamber, cold plunges
which are the ice therapy in general is also really amazing.
So you know, making sure that that's included throughout my
(19:58):
day at trainings, and just keeping the body, as you know,
as primed as possible because you can demand a lot
from it, but if you're not taking care of it,
and it's gonna break down. So we're really really big
believers in recovery and then just fueling your body with
the good stuff.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Now I know I don't look like it, but I
grew up at the tail end of the golden air.
So I grew up in the early eighties when you know,
Mike was the man, the govern there. You know, that's
when when I'll lea form and all that. That's the
golden there in the seventies. But I remember we were kids,
we're bad kids in Compton and we tried on the street.
We had it was a guy that used to box
and he gave us gloves and I don't know what
that dip is called in your chest. I got hit
there and it felt like every ounce of wind went
(20:37):
out of my body. And that was the last day
I put on boxing gloves. But what made you want
to box? Because it just scared me because I couldn't breathe.
But I know there's got to be times you taking
a shot of this or that. What makes you continue
to go? And this is one thing I say. I
tell my kids this Ali is the goat. He's not undefeated,
but he just got up one more time that he
got not But what made you continue on?
Speaker 10 (20:58):
Ah?
Speaker 8 (20:59):
You know, I'll give you a quick little story, So
let's do it story time.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (21:03):
I mean, so something that's pretty different about my stories.
I didn't grow up with boxing growing up. I didn't
come from a boxing family or training or anything. I
was actually twenty seven when I found myself in a
fitness boxing class and so you know those hour classes
it's full of Well that one was primarily women, and
we just started hitting the bag, learning the punches, and
(21:23):
I was like, oh my goodness, this is amazing.
Speaker 9 (21:26):
So I started doing that length.
Speaker 8 (21:28):
Next thing, you know, you know, I'm doing it six
times a week and then I'm like, somebody puts a
little thought in my brain of.
Speaker 9 (21:34):
Hey, maybe you should compete.
Speaker 8 (21:36):
Ye, And I've always been a competitive person playing soccer all.
Speaker 9 (21:39):
My life, so I was like, let's do it.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (21:42):
When I sparred, the first time, it was you know,
it was pretty, it was an intro, it was very light,
so I was like, Okay, this is cool. But the
second time I sparred, I actually got in there with
a woman who was about to go pro I believe
or maybe had one profile and she just let that
right hand go oh, and it nailed me right the
(22:02):
nose broke my nose. And I tell a story all
the time because in that moment when it happened, I
was more upset that like I couldn't get.
Speaker 9 (22:10):
It back because you know, you need to get and
that's how I.
Speaker 8 (22:14):
Knew, and I always tell everybody that's when you get hit.
If your instinct is to go and get it back,
then you know it's for you, and if it's not,
then it's okay.
Speaker 9 (22:22):
But now you know, yes exactly, and.
Speaker 8 (22:26):
Generally like now, I mean, the more you commit to it,
the more you train hard and you feel what you're
capable of when you might get hit with something that's
that little like it kind of brings that fire out,
and you know, it makes you want to keep getting better, improving,
right to like have that feeling of dominance.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
That's good, that's excellent stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Right here, Fox Sports Radio Coach being eternal, we are
here with the Mighty Brooke Brook again.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
I'm gonna I'm gonna spare you that you hear me this.
How do you say your last name?
Speaker 9 (22:55):
Cibrian?
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Cibrian?
Speaker 8 (22:56):
Yeah, no, I appreciate that because I get all the
types of Yeah, they called.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Me Arlington.
Speaker 10 (23:04):
Works for me.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
I like them. I like what y Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Okay, now now talk about this you right now you
have you're there, they're saying your number.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
I want to make sure I got this correct.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
You're number six and a w BO, you're number ten
and the w B A, and you're number thirteen the
w B C. Now you have a huge fight coming
up on August second, you know, and talk about you know,
what's going to happen, the preparation and number one, who
are you fighting? Brief audience on that and then kind
of talk about that preparation.
Speaker 8 (23:38):
Yeah, So, as you mentioned August second as the Boba Casino,
so relatively local.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Yes, very local.
Speaker 8 (23:44):
Yeah, So that's really exciting for my Coachella Valley fans
and friends because we fought further out, So this is
really kind of like a mini homecoming, right, and that's
really exciting. So we're going to get in there with
a cat Lindon Mouth. She's from New Mexico, and it's
gonna be a barn burner because she's a firecracker and
(24:05):
brings a heat. So I'm really excited to of course
showcase my skills, but really give the fans an awesome
fight because that's what that's what makes it all awesome
and sweet.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
No doubt about it.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
And women boxing in general, I mean women's sports really
is just I mean just taking fire, but I mean
women boxing. I mean, I mean, first you gotta kind
of saw it in the m M A Field and
now with the box and some of the better fights
are the are the women talk to talk to artists
about how exciting that is just to kind of see
the culture of women's boxing kind of growth.
Speaker 8 (24:37):
Well, I think it's I mean just it's awesome to
have experienced that Netflix, uh event last Friday.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Yeah, they're getting involved.
Speaker 9 (24:44):
The MVP put.
Speaker 8 (24:45):
On Jake Paul and you know the team that that
allowed to showcase all the women boxing and you know
a Man of Serano, Katie Taylor, you know, having their
trilogy fight was huge. And so again, like you mentioned,
I think in general women well you know most of
the fights are two minutes, so they got it.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah, that one.
Speaker 8 (25:06):
And then too, I mean we're just fiery being so
you know, we go there to put on a show
and and again to kind of maybe there's a little
bit of that chip on the shoulder of like we're
badass too. Yeah, it's okay, we'll take care of it,
and that you know, we can be just as exciting
and action packed. So I think we all have that
(25:27):
insight and when we get in there.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
So I saw that shoulder and minded me of Floyd.
But to talk about this when you talked about it,
because I have a daughter as well, and that she
just turned twenty five. And one thing and we talked
about that MVP and I saw that on Netflix and
it was a woman headlining it. And one thing you
talked about and I want to get on this. You
said it motivates you to grind harder and be an example.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Yeah, and this is your daughter, correct, And so I
have a daughter as well. What is it?
Speaker 2 (25:50):
And I always every day I wake up, I want
to be an example for them because I think that
you need to make your generate, your next generation better
than you. And I tell my kids all the time,
if you don't do better than me, I fail as
a father.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
So what is it like to be that.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Example, to be the woman to get out there and
show your daughter you can do this as well.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
She could be world champion of course.
Speaker 9 (26:08):
No, it's if you.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Need tissue, I'll get. I get an emotional with my
kids too.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Well.
Speaker 8 (26:14):
I love that you mentioned that because strong, strong daughters
need strong fathers, right, and this idea.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
I say that again. I'm go play with my daughter.
Speaker 8 (26:22):
Strong daughters and strong fathers there need strong fathers there.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (26:28):
No, it's a beautiful thing and something to kind of.
Speaker 8 (26:30):
Note on on that is, if you notice a lot
of female fighters are backed by a lot of males
that are uplifting them, empowering them, that are.
Speaker 9 (26:40):
Believing in them.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
And even myself, my trainer, my my other half, my
life partner is my significant other, right, so my fiance
and so think about it like someone who's not intimidated
by strong women and that are finding ways to bring
those light on them and shine.
Speaker 9 (26:59):
So I think it's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 8 (27:01):
But going back to women in general, I I am
thirty two now and my mentality is a little different.
So I do really focus on the younger on the
younger generation, and I'm surrounded by them constantly.
Speaker 9 (27:14):
In the gym, right and there's so many little girls now.
Speaker 8 (27:17):
Training, you see it so much more so it's a
sense of, you know, a badge of honor for me.
Speaker 9 (27:22):
So when I walk into.
Speaker 8 (27:23):
These gyms or you know, when we're going to training,
it's just like a yeah, I'm here, I'm in their
face and now I'm going to show them like, hey,
we could do this right and and obviously.
Speaker 9 (27:36):
Too, like I don't know, it's just it just makes
me feel good.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
It's like an example exactly good stuff right there that
I mean, that is just just wonderful. Now again, so Boba,
excuse me, So Boba is gonna be going down so
Boba Casino and Resort August second.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Now, who is there anybody else on the car we
need to know about?
Speaker 8 (27:55):
Oh yeah, there's another young lady h Perla Sabata and
also there's gonna be Chop Chop Gonzales. He's going to be,
I believe, headlining, and so many others.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Yes, yes, lloting me to put you on the spot. No, no,
that's all good. Well because you can you tell people
I've left a lot of money. It's a boba. But
honestly I love it.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
That the example you think of the Christy Martin's yea
the goat, Muhammad Ali's daughter Lailah.
Speaker 9 (28:22):
My imagine she comes back.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Yeah, she's my she needs just Clarisia shield.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
I mean she said for fifteen million, I come back
to fifteen million, just come back for fifteen.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
I remember her dad and he fought homes just Leila
just stayed. I would hate to see Lately get beat
up too. Yeah, that would hurt me. I saw the
homes fight.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Ye yeah that that that that we cried. We cried
on the home side. But so anyway, so and again
real quick, let an audience know you're going to be
going to a promotional event. That's why again really excited,
thank you so much for coming. Really appreciate that. But
you're about to go. You're not done here. You're you're
going you've got some more media stuff going on. Talk
to audience about what you have going on right after
the show.
Speaker 8 (28:59):
So perfect because straight from here, we're gonna go to
KMF Boxing Jim, a local gym here in San Bernardino nearby,
and we're gonna be holding the media workout, and so
all the fighters that's gonna that are gonna be on
August second will be there, you know, available for interviews,
pictures and just promoting the event, making sure to to
(29:20):
show the excitement because it's going to be a banger.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
Yes, it's good.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
I definitely got to get up there, you know now
that I saw it and see what's going on. And
again big shout out to you again to your your
fiance for making sure that he got in contact with us.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Make sure real quick. I want to make sure.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
I want to give you a time for to do
your your your promo real quick. Let the folks know
what's going on August second.
Speaker 8 (29:39):
Please, August second, it's gonna be boxing at Saboba Casino.
Speaker 9 (29:44):
I'll be on the card.
Speaker 8 (29:45):
My name is Mighty Brooks, Sabrian and we're gonna put
on a show for everybody.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
That's good stuff, right, there will gain you representing the desert.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Uh, you know, keep doing what you're doing again, inspiring
the next generation, expiring these young ladies, specifically the young
ladies in the I E. And again, we're really happy
to have you on the air today.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Okay. I love the profile here, looking at it intimidating.
I'm saying, by me, we got to talk about her.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
When you talk about the go to female boxing mea say, James,
oh okaya back ye yeah, think about it. I love
a female boxer. Yeah, I love Saint John.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
She's like the knockout the mic right hook. I saw
that hook. I saw John. Let me get her name right.
I don't need her about John. He's gonna hunt you down.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
But I and I want to say thank you because
I'm people don't get up.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
I'm not the m M A guy. I'm a boxing
so I love boxing. There you got.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
I like him man as well. But again I'm really
happy about boxing. So again I can't wait again. August second,
makes sure you guys go out there and support the
young ladies. You're doing some great stuff. So Boba Casino
and Resort, it's going to be going down.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Keep up to go work, Okay, thank you, But could
you imagine back the day you're getting down, some kick.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
From the California Office of Traffic Safety and cal Trains.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Kinny Clark of the Green Bay Packers on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
This is Coach Being a turn on Fox Sports Radio,
heard in Southern California on Fox Sports A thirteen fifty.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
I am your host, coach by and I am.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Yours turner right here live in a Great City at
Riverside at the iHeart Radio Studios every Saturday morning. You
guys can always check us out right here. Coach Beat
a great interview right there.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Man. That young lady I mean has some spice to her. Man,
she's ready to go. Yes, she does. And you gotta
of that. And you know, like I said, no disrespect.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
To the MMA people. This is one thing I will say.
And we talked about the Ali thing again. The Ali
rule where you can't be the manager and the promoter.
I think it is in boxing because that goes back
to Don King. I'm a boxing guy.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
That's the reason I believe the MMA has taken over
boxing because you have to be able to box the
best and you have to force it. And that's not
like about Dana White. You don't want to box, We'll
just take you. I mean, you don't want to go
to We'll just take your.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Take your title.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
We'll just take your title and we'll keep it pushing.
And I know Denzen has tried to do it, and there's
been a couple of leads that have tried to do it,
but you've got to really do that where you have
one promotion that super seeds, like that's what for different
belts now because there's now a WBO.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Yeah, it's it's it's you know, that's the problem. And
what happens is you don't get the good fights with
the guys in their prime some point. I mean, honestly,
I'm excited about the Canelo Crowperd fight.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Really really would be fighting him now. Go fight him
now now that he's a real box not when he's twenty.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Well, I mean the thing about it is, I'm I
was fine with with Foyd fighting him then. I mean
it is I mean because again, I mean, Floyd wasn't
gonna be able to get he wasn't gonna be able
to get any any younger. So obviously he don't want
to fight him right now. But but my thing is
is we want to see these fights in their prime.
Absolutely right now. You know, we're gonna get this, you
know right now. There's some there's some conversation going on
(35:24):
that if you know, Pacquiao, he's fighting the night, he
still get the guy's gloves on, and if Shane wins,
there's there's a there's a there's there's a speculation that
these two are going to fight again now again do
we want to out watch the fight, but we would
have rather seen that ten years ago, right, absolutely, we
want to see these great fights, uh, in their prime.
And that's why again I always, always, always going to
have respect for Oscar de la Hoya because on his
(35:47):
way out he gave everybody a chance. He said, hey,
if you think you ready, let's do it. And again
big shout out to Oscar. He made that happen once again.
You know, uh, not a lot of people did that.
You know, he went down the list, he said, you
want to fight, let's go, let's try it out. So
I feel you on that.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
I mean that.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
That is the big thing with boxing. It's just a
politics in it, not the sport. It's just a politics
in it.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
All started with, you know, the seventies. But you know,
the one thing I like is that the goat that
fought anyone anywhere, anytime is the goat of all goats,
Iron Mike Tyson.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
The one fight. But I will say, well, one fight
he didn't he didn't fight. It was Vander.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
But when he was going he was going to fight Evander,
then he went to he had a little vacation, so
they were going to fight. And that's what threw it
off because they were going to and Evander wasn't fighting
at heavyweight at the time.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
He was like, think it was that cruiseweight, like either
cruise away to light heavy away?
Speaker 3 (36:38):
So who dodged who? So because Evanders should have been
ahead of Evander was going for him.
Speaker 4 (36:43):
He wanted that that part, I do know, and I
know that Don King, there's even some there's even some uhh,
I mean I think there's some, but I'm not mistake
just like some kind of video about that how Don
King was trying to wait on that fight because everybody
knew that was going to be that was gonna that
was a mismatch right there in terms of not really
a good fight for Mike because Evander was a boxer.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Right right, and and you know that's the thing. And
now I'll say this, Evander got old Mike. Now, if
Evander gets prime Mike, I don't I don't know who's
going to get that fight because if you look at
the footwork that Mike had in his neck and all that,
now you get that Mic before he goes in.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
I think Mike gets that that fight.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
You know me too, I mean, for you know, I
don't think you know, because you know, then Mike was
just a different he was.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
He had that, he had that switch and obviously that.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
Time he spent away, you know, that little rest, Yeah,
affects you.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
You know, you're mentally more than you're so mentally, no question.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
I mean because just like the young lady said, you're boxing,
you're doing that twenty four to seven right, right, and
and so, and all of a sudden, now you can't
just you know, you think you can just turn that
switch on that at at your leisure. This doesn't always
happen like that.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
So the beauty of Mike is not to the you know,
not one hundred percent of both. But it was almost
as if you blended Ali with with Foreman, because early
Mike had footwork, he moved, he had the neck movement,
and he had the I think Foreman is probably the strongest,
the heaviest hitter, and his like when he made was
the Fraser, he made him skip.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
Yeah, that was fight a flight.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
I think he not Norman. I think he's not Norman
like Through the Ropes. If I'm not mistaken. I mean,
you know, George Foreman was just s Malleran. That's why
everybody was so scared for Muhammad Ali, which was one
of the greatest fights really ever, one of the most
champ I mean, I mean that right there. When you
look at that fight, that fight tells you that's championship box, right.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
But that may have been the beginning of the decline
question because he was already and then, like I said,
you see the documentary, he shouldn't have fought Homes.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
He should not have fought Homes.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
Not about it again, Fox Sports Radio right here live now. Also,
I didn't get a chance to mention this our guy,
Tyler Freeman. This is Tyler Freeman over there from your
neck of it was coach be over there from Edwanda
High School. He who is now on the uh he
is now on the Rockies. He was actually drafted to
(39:02):
the Texas Rangers. But Cody Freeman, hold on, say let's
see here, yeah, Cody Freeman is actually he was drafted
by the Colorado Rockies. We want to make sure that
we put that out there, because again we did mention Corona.
I think you mentioned another young man. All those were
we mentioned the four Corona kids that got drafted. I
(39:23):
want to make sure we give a big shout out
to our folks over at Ediwandah who's doing some great
stuff right there, and again at Alwanda High School.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
Two guys. I mean, I remember the young man Tyler
Freeman when he came.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
Into the studio. It was a huge moment when he
got drafted by the Rangers. But again now his brother
Cody Freeman has also made his way as well.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
So I read stuff right there, right right, So you
can't beat that with a baseball bat man. It's good
to see that Ediwanda is still out there getting it
and still making it happen. So you know, I've always
always have love in my heart for the ed Alwanda Eagles.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
So yeah, so we're excited about that.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
And then big I got to give our guy, speaking
of local schools, our guy j R.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
That from the I E.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Prep Fame he is now the principal at Alta Loma
High School.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Oh wow, so good for him. I know he was
he's been doing his grind.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
So he's a graduated his master's degree at USC, So
good for him.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
I know he's very excited about that.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
I know that's that gentleman has been doing this thing
for a minute, always, always, always, very supportive of everything
we're doing, so getting big shot out to him. But yeah, no,
last week, right after the show, I made my way
over to Cahone High School where Jaden Daniels was making
his way back to the home to the home front.
(40:40):
Obviously the field has been dedicated to him now over
in at Klahoon.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
But yeah, coach I went over.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
There, you know, and you know I was gonna ask
missus Jackson who you know, if she was for real,
I was gonna ask her, you know, say hey, can
you hook us up? Maybe you can Jayden do a
drop forth? And she sat there for a quick second,
looked at me for a seconds and said, I'll be
right back.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
Then one of those coach b that they're one of
the I'll be right back. It returned. It never got
right back.
Speaker 4 (41:13):
So you know that was that, you know, so that
you know the kids call it, you know, they curved
you or you know, they swerved you right there. But nonetheless,
you know, we still were still supporting Jayden Dans again,
you know, recipient of back to back Illen Valley Athlete,
(41:34):
you know, football Player of the Year awards. You know
both times. You know mom was there, so I thought
you know, I thought maybe we had a little you know,
I thought we was good, you know, but apparently, you know,
we got the we got the swerve treatment.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
You know again, I got the I got the boot
boot band.
Speaker 7 (41:48):
You know.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
So it happened. It happens.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
It happened, so, you know, and that's one of the things.
You know, they're they're living in a different zone, different
It's all good. We'ren't happy for him, you know, Jaden
is is making his moving now. You know, this is
the one thing I'll say. He had an amazing rookie year.
Amazing rookie year. But let's not forget about CJ. Everyone
(42:11):
wants to forget about that, and you got to go
through that. We'll see that second year is going to
be telling the see where he's at and see where
he goes. I think Jayden's going to step up to
the challenge.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
I think he is too. Well, let's not forget about CJ.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Yeah, you know, and CJ again, he obviously he had
his second year. I think he was his receivers. Yeah,
and but he still did a wonderful job. I mean,
obviously the Texans, I mean, they just didn't do exactly
what they wanted to.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
Do out there, but the Texans. Yeah, but that is that.
Speaker 4 (42:38):
And then but nonetheless, again c j still as you
mentioned what, he just really having a lot of injuries.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
He was hurt. Still had a really good year.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
So we're gonna see now, as you mentioned it, you
know that second year is always tough because folks got
film on you. Now, Yeah, folks are looking at that
stuff and they see what you're doing and so so
you know, you know, and everything gets real.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
But to your point, I think.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Asked David Carr about those texts, oh boy, oh boy.
Speaker 4 (43:03):
But yeah, no, it'll be uh Jade and Daniels second year,
so you know, again obviously were very very optimistic about that.
So hopefully he'll be able to I think he will
be able to step up to the challenge. But nonetheless,
it was really great to see Uh Daniels come back
over to the home front, back to the Cohone High
School where Coach b saw him.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
Uh no, that was that? That was that downy you
saw him run past.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
Yeah, yeah, it was you know, because the way down
is set up, it's weird. The visitors locker room is
on the home field, the side where the under the bleachers,
so I was like, oh my god, I hope I
don't see anybody. And as I turned from the ticket
boof and go in, Jaden's walking out. He just looked
at me and stopped because I had on my downy
gear and he just stopped and stared and he shook
(43:48):
his head and walked away.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Wow. So he probably told his mother that story. So yeah,
that's what That's what it was right there. He was like,
not you, not you? Right Yeah. So yeah, I was
there as a fan. Yeah, see look at you. You
got down. He all over me, do me down? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
but no, it was all good. Man.
Speaker 4 (44:05):
Again, I'm definitely excited for Janey Daniels again.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
It was it was a really great event.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
It was it was nice to see him, uh really
over there hanging with the people.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
Good stuff right there.
Speaker 4 (44:17):
But Coach B, we do have a very uh special
phone calls. So we're just gonna take a quick break
when we come back, Coach B. You know me, man,
one of the things that I'm really really always excited
to do is take my annual homage up north a
little bit to go see my cowboys. We're gonna have
(44:37):
a great interview talking about that. In just a quick second,
So we're gonna take a quick break, Coach B. When
we come back, we have the good folks over from
visit ox Nar right here live on Fox Sports Radio.
Coach B again, you are listening to Coach Being Eternal.

Herd in Southern California, Fox Sports AM thirteen fifty.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
I am your host, Coach Being.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
Not Amyos Eternal right here live in a great city
at Riverside at the iHeartRadio Studios, recorded live every Saturday morning.
We do have a very very special guest calling in
on our Celebrity line. Call her if you'd be willing
to please introduce yourself to our live radio audience.
Speaker 11 (46:06):
Good morning. I'm Brittany Hendricks. I'm the president and CEO
with Visit Oxnard.
Speaker 4 (46:11):
Fantastic, Brittany, thank you so much for taking out the
time to call us this morning. Exciting stuff going on, obviously,
this is always a great time for the California Dallas
Cowboy fans. It just like, you know, just it's like
it's like a fantasy land. The Cowboys are coming to
see us. But talk about this again, the Cowboys coming
(46:34):
back to Oxnard has to just get a great you know,
it's a great summer tradition that I always look forward to.
But talk about this, you know what makes Oxnard perfect
place for America's team to come year after year.
Speaker 11 (46:49):
Yeah, the Cowboys are back for their nineties training camp
in Oxnard. It is the sixty sixth training camp overall.
And there's a long standing tradition for the Cowboy to
train Inventor County and that dates back to nineteen sixty three.
And guess what if you check the weather today is
at least twenty five degrees cooler in Oxnard than it
(47:11):
is at the Star And I think that speaks, volumes,
the bells. Has there a global brand, a team of
elite athletes. You've got Micah person, Ceebee, Lamb, Duk Prepscott
made practice conditions that are safe and conducive to performing
at the highest level, and so they choose Oxnard year
over year for its reliably mild climate that's ideal for
(47:34):
those high intensity practices. And then in terms of driving
traffic to the event, I don't think it hurts to
be close to a major gateway city like Los Angeles.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
And for those making a trip this year, what are
some of the can't miss experiences or new additions they
should be looking forward to at the Cowboys camp in
twenty twenty five.
Speaker 11 (47:58):
Yeah, when I'm personally most about is the fourth annual
Oxnard Fan Night, happening Friday, July twenty fifth, at the
Collection at River Park at four pm. Rap artist Zeally
is hosting with live performances by America's Arts, the Dallas
Cowboys Cheerleaders, an appearance by rowdy plus Cowboys legend like
(48:20):
five time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Famer Charles Hayley,
and stand out cornerback or Orlando Scandrick. They'll be there
and don't miss a special guest performance by Rook, who
is the drummer for Machine Gun Kelly. And then we
have Cowboys Back Together Weekend, which kicks off with opening
(48:41):
ceremonies on Saturday, July twenty sixth, including a Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleaders performance and remoks from Jerry Jones. In addition to
an open practice on the same day, The Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleaders dance clinic will be held on July twenty seven.
Heroes Appreciation Day honoring military first responders and healthcare heroes,
(49:03):
will be on July thirty first, And finally, the joint
open practice with the La Rams will be on August
fifth at two pm.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
Good. That's a that's stuff right there.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Now, let's talk about the impact, and this is what's
so important when you think about how this impacts the community.
How does hosting the Cowboys each summer, how does that
benefit the local Oxnar community, the economy and just morale.
Speaker 11 (49:29):
Yeah, I mean it brings a huge boost to Oxnard.
Our hotels are at their highest occupancy rates of the year,
the restaurants are buzzing, The energy is just incredible and
It's not just great for business. It brings people together
and Cowboys fans, sports lovers, locals. It's something the whole
community rallies around, and events like Oxnard Van Night have
(49:52):
grown into celebrations that everyone can enjoy. It's become part
of our city's identity and we're proud to host to America
team year after year, especially since the Dallas Cowboys just
signed a five year contract with a city of Oxnard
to hold their training camp in Oxnard through twenty thirty.
Oh well, we haven't seways training camp yet to come
(50:15):
in Oxnard.
Speaker 4 (50:16):
That is fantastic news because you know, there was a
rumor circulating that this might be the last year. So
I'm very that's exciting. You just helped me out. Right
Now I can breathe again and again We're really excited
to have Brittany from visit Oxnard live on Fox Sports Radio. Now,
if someone has never been to the training camp, like,
what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (50:37):
Number one? I mean, you know you should be there.
Speaker 4 (50:39):
But if someone's never been there to the camp before,
why should this be the year that they make their
homage down to Oxnard to see the Cowboys.
Speaker 11 (50:49):
So I'm just the destination expert, so I will leave
the sports commentary to you guys. But word is that
this year's Cowboys roster is pretty stacked with rising stars
and some serious playoff potential, and with a seven to
ten finished last year and ranked among the most pressured
teams setting into twenty twenty five, there's a real sense
(51:11):
that this could be a make or break yere And
so the energy around the team is electric, and Oxnard
gives fans a rare front row seat to it all.
And you just can't get this kind of access at
at and T Stadium.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
It's fun. I mean, look, and you said it right there.
Speaker 4 (51:27):
I mean again, the second you're gonna get a chance
to go out there and see that big time scrimmage
right before the Cowboys take the field against the Rams
the following week. And again, as you mentioned, we're going
to be down there on the twenty six.
Speaker 3 (51:41):
Can't wait. It's going to be exciting stuff right there.
Speaker 4 (51:45):
I know Coach b he's actually a Chargers fan, so
this is you know, he's you know, but he again,
he's familiar. He has respect for the Cowboys, not really, but.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Yes he knows.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
He don't have respect for Oxygen and I respect for
what ox Star is doing because I'm from southern California.
Speaker 4 (52:04):
But again, Brittany, thank you so much for calling in.
We really appreciate it. It's gonna be a great time
out there for folks that want to get in contact
with you guys over at visit ox Star. Please provide
our audience with the information where they can find out
more about the camp and more about what you guys
are doing for the great city of Oxnar.
Speaker 11 (52:23):
Yeah. For more information on Dallas Cowboys training Camp, go
to visit Oxnar dot com, slash Cowboys and you can
find us on Instagram at visit Oxnar and CAA.
Speaker 4 (52:34):
Fantastic Brittany, thank you so much. We appreciate you taking
out the time to give us a call. Hope, hope
I get a chance to run it to you again.
Speaker 3 (52:40):
Again. We'll be out there.
Speaker 2 (52:42):
It's you know, I want to ask her one quick
thing talk to me. I know we talked about the Cowboys,
but what about visit Oxnar? What else is going on
in Oxnar? Brittany, do you have anything that you wanted
to tell us or what's all about Oxnar? Let us
I'm from southern California. I know of Oxnar. But I've
never been to the city of Oxnar. Tell us something
deciding about visit Oxnar.
Speaker 11 (53:03):
Yeah, well, we talked about the great weather, but beyond
the weather, Oxnard is still place that's a bit undiscovered,
where superstar athletes can fly under the radar. We've got
wide open beaches, one of which Oliquoy Beach Park, was
just named the number one beach in California for the
thirty year in a row by USA Today. And we
(53:24):
have an incredible food scene. The Oxnard Taco Trail has
become a bit renowned, and I would just say, don't
sleep on Oxnard. It's up and coming. We're constantly growing.
This year alone, Oxnard is celebrating five new hotel openings
and renovations, including the official Cowboys Team Hotel, the renovated
(53:45):
Staybridge Suites Oxnard River Ridge, and the brand new town
Place Suites, which is in walking distance to Oxnard's premier
shopping center, the Collection at River Park. And it's just
a perfect blend of comfort in California. And they're cool here.
Speaker 3 (54:01):
It really is there. You go.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
I saw how she got excited talking about You can
tell she loves.
Speaker 4 (54:05):
But like you said, the weather there is always fantastic.
I mean we're here in the Elland Empire and we're
cooking every day, so it's always a great treat for
us to go out there and visit the great city
of box start again. Thank you so much, Brittany, we
appreciate it. Keep up the good work what you guys
are doing over at visit Oxnar and again I can't
wait to see it for the Dallas Cowboys camp.
Speaker 11 (54:25):
Thank you. See you guys on the twenty sixth.
Speaker 3 (54:27):
There it is right there. Thanks. I tell you, Fernando
Vargus was trying to tell us the ox.
Speaker 4 (54:31):
Is this place to be that. Yes he did, Britty,
thank you so much. You enjoyed the enjoyed the rest
of your weekend.
Speaker 3 (54:36):
Please, thank you.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
There it is right and just hooping back to the
boxing thing, you know, because I think I think Fernando.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
Yeah, yeah, Fernando August. Yeah, great guy. I've got a
chance to meet him a couple of your son's boxing.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:50):
She souns doing great, you know, doing this thing and
uh but yeah, no, I definitely remember Fernando. I actually
ended up bumping into him at the garment district and uh,
you know in La Man he was great he might
turn on. I know, I know, I know nobody knew. Yes,
you know what I did, but no, he was really
really great. I took his time, we took a picture
and everything. Really really great guy. And it's always great
(55:12):
to see those guys. I mean, I'm telling you, like those boxers.
I mean, I've watched got a chance to watch Shane.
I was over with uh.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
With our guy from Uh.
Speaker 4 (55:20):
He fort Floyd to and Floyd hit him with the
We're not gonna ever call out the sucer punch because
you always got to keep your hands up.
Speaker 6 (55:26):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
You messed me up with Vargust. His name is uh Ortiz.
Speaker 4 (55:30):
Okay, my bad, but Ortiz. All these guys are just
really really great human beings. Number one, because you seeing
when the fans come in, they're always great, just taking pictures,
signing autographs. That was great to see. But looking forward
to August second again, we're gonna get a chance to
see uh the mighty brook out of as Coach b said,
(55:52):
the CV Uh. I can't wait to see her fight
on August second, over at Boba. He's gonna be gonna
be going down that boat with the casino and resort
out there and then as we mentioned, rolso going to
be We're gonna be on location over at Oxnard at
the Dallas Cowboys camp. I can't wait, man, I mean
I've been going out there now. I went out there
(56:15):
first of my father.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
Man. Oh, it was just a great experience.
Speaker 4 (56:17):
Got a chance to go out there with him and
we just we had a great time out there. And
I mean I've been there at least about ten times,
so it's always a great experience. Always there's always different,
you know, new stuff out there. I'm excited about the roster.
Hopefully we can do something, but I we'll see how
that goes. And then and then again coach be again,
big shout out to Corona Baseball. Man, that was just magnificent.
(56:38):
I mean, I mean they were all over the place.
They had Coach Wise, I mean he was on TV.
He was all over the place, and that's really great.
I mean, Coach Wise he deserves he's a great guy.
And before those kids got big and as coach, we
said we might we might not get the call back
anymore because he was on Big Fox and he was
on Big Fox TV station.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
Yeah, you gotta think, I don't know what's going on
in the water of Corona. Because yet Jared McCain get
picked a couple of years back. And then our guy
that just got picked from the basketball.
Speaker 4 (57:04):
Team, Carter Brian. There you go doing excellent, right. Yeah,
I'm glad you mentioned him. He and boy, I'm telling
you he is the buzz right now of Summer League.
Speaker 3 (57:11):
Got there in Las Vegas right now. Think yeah, it's
not Nie Man. He almost maybe six a six two
point postman, you know, on the low block six too.
Oh he got a Cooper flag. Yeah, locked him up.
Let you tell it. That's why him and Lebron gonna
be on the next you know. And that's just funny, man.
Speaker 4 (57:31):
I mean that you if the LA market or the
southern California market, if they have the way, Brianni and
Lebron will beyond that that metro going from here to
New York.
Speaker 3 (57:41):
Yeah, I'll tell you right later, he is.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
Let me, let me settle the I'm not I'm not
on the Lakers bandwagon anymore, but I was historically a
Laker fan. Magic Johnson played for one team, Kobe Bean
Bryant played for one Come on now, uh, Kareem was traded,
but he was here the best years of his career,
James Worthy, Lebron is not a Laker.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
He is not a Laker.
Speaker 2 (58:01):
He's av he is even though they got the Bubble
Championship and all that, he is not a Lake. So
when they talk about the greatest Lakers only ever he
is not.
Speaker 4 (58:12):
Not Yeah, and and and that's the thing. I think
that he he's started. He's right, he has not come
to grips with Day's like, why don't y'all like me
like that? Well, because you are gun for hire, right.
Speaker 2 (58:22):
Because because when you think of how many teams he played,
he didn't play for not one not to So yeah, no, no.
Speaker 4 (58:28):
Yeah no, no, definitely guarantee you. But again, great show today.
