Speaker 1 (00:01):
Coming to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studio
in Southern California. It's time for the only national prep
sports show on radio, the Coach be An Eternal Show.
And here are your hosts, the Pride of Riverside Eternal
and straight out of Downy Coach B.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Gentlemen, it's all yours.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
It's Coach An Eternal, Fox Sports Southern California on Fox
Sports Am thirteen fifty.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
I am your host, Coach B.

Speaker 5 (00:28):
And I am your host Eternal right here live in
a great city of rivers I'm at the iHeartRadio Studios.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
And again, thank you guys for baron with us.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
We had a little technical issues we had to make
sure we get straight before we kicked off the show.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Great Saturday morning.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
We have a full house folks here in the studio,
Coach B. But as you know, this Saturday is really
really special because we just kicked off week zero of
the twenty twenty five football season, Coach B. And we
got to clip for that, right there, man, We gotta

(01:01):
clap it up for that right there. You know, uh
just kicked it off. We know anytime August gets around,
that means football is on the horizon.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Coach b uh.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
We had games that kicked off on Thursday, Coach b
But again, share your excitement about the new start of
the season football and obviously we have flag football as well.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, I'm excited. It's always a good thing. It's my okay,
it's always a good thing. When you think about high
school football and everything that's going on, you know, it's
it's nothing like football season. I've told the wife before
the the well, you can't say the words. The big
game in the National Football League is the best in
the worst day for a football fan because it's it's

(01:43):
the big game that everyone wants to see all year long.
But then at the end of at the end of
the game, you realize, though, I got like four or
five months of no football, no football at all, and
that's hard to do. So we're excited to see that
football is back in. Football is in set because you
can't live without your football.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Man, got to tell the truth right there, No, you
got to have your football. It's a good thing, man.
And what we've done.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
One of the most debated topics, Coach bat that we've had,
at least in this particular season, is the twenty twenty
five Inland Empire the rankings that came out, the top
ten rankings Fox Sports Radio and thirteen fifty top ten
rankings Coach Beat. A lot of folks had a lot
to say for good reason. The scores came in and

(02:31):
like we always say, Coach B, we like to have
people settle the scores in the grass. And you know,
when we make our preseason rankings, these are just what
we see in shorts and T shirts. We haven't got
a chance to see him playing the grass yet.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Like we used always say when I coached, you know,
the pads are the things that separate boys two men.
So you know, it's it's one of those things no
disrespect or no pun intended towards you know, the seven
or seven seven v seven whatever they want to call it.
But until you get out there and you really start,
you know, getting after it, you really don't know what
these players are going to do. You don't know how

(03:06):
well they're going to do once they get that. But
that's why I love to see when you finally see
these kids, when they get a chance to put on
those those pads and get after.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
It, and you know, it's just football is just so popular.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yes, I feel bad, I don't think any I know
they always talk about track is so popular around the world,
so it's football.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
But in the States, we love our American football.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
No doubt about it. But not to be outdone Coach B.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
We also have the young Ladies in here because volleyball
season Coach B has Well also has kicked off and
we are really really happy to have here live in studio.
The Terriers, the ladies of Redland's high school volleyball really
starting off with Coach Flowers and her assistant is here

(03:51):
as well, but they've really kicked off their season, kicked
off really really well. They have a five and two start,
and then Coach B. We also have Lynn Field Christian
coach B right here live in studio. The girls Flag
football team number one in the Inland Empire and last
in this week's rankings. They are doing fantastic, kicked off

(04:11):
the season with a stellar five and old record. But
we got to get into this top ten because again
we have a full house. We want to make sure
everybody stays tuned. You don't want to miss this show.
But Coach B, I don't know if you want to
do the honors, if you want me to start it off,
but again this particular game, we're gonna we'll start at
number ten. This was the most chatted about. I gotta
I gotta break out a couple of a couple of

(04:33):
comments that were left on our You guys can follow
us as well, follow I sports Net, Ice sports Net
on Instagram, all the social media platforms. But one of
the things that we did is, I mean, folks were
going crazy. They were just like going crazy about this
game Beaumont and Sanya Sino. We had Sanyor Sino at

(04:56):
number ten and Beaumont was not ranked. A lot of
people said, Beaumont is going to be really good the
returning I think they were saying that they really only
lost a handful of players and they were going to
be returning really really strong. And coach be let me
tell you something. The score said. So they knocked off
Samya Seno with a score a fifty one to fourteen.
So big shout out to coach Steinberg and company. They

(05:20):
let us know by their play on the football field.
I think they had one kid that had three touchdowns
passing and also had two touchdowns rushing as well.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
That was their quarterback. So yeah, so again watch out
for Beaumont. That a real deal. Who you got number.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Nine, absolutely, and when you look at number nine, you
got Damien versus Aquantis. And that's a big game when
you think about those private schools. I know Damien is
technically in Lavern, which is Eli County, so I don't
even know. They may be they may if they're both
Catholic school they may be a different arch dice. Yes,
but because I know, yes, it makes sense because Riverside
San Bernardino is one.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
So yeah, Damien is Lvern. What as you talk through.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
It, but Damian, Damien's one of those teams that's always asleeper. Yeah, baseline,
baseline is always tough one twenty to fifteen.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
But what does that say about a Quantas? Tell you
lost by five.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Now that tells you A Quantus is going to be
really good this year, and you want to be you
want to watch out for a Quantis. A Quantas is
going to be on the uptick. I mean, that's one
of those schools that's a program. They've been working on
this for quite some time. So be on the lookout
for a Quantas coming At number eight. We had excuse me,
you had mister Marietta and then vis Marrietta I took
on Great Oak and let me tell you something, they're
right around the corner from each other, Coach B. But

(06:27):
Vis Marrietta had time knocked them off forty seven to
twenty five.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
You got a number seven and number seven you have
Eda Wanda.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
They put a versus a school that's literally right up
the street as you as I drive.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
In in the morning, you can always see it.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
And that is going to be at a Wanda defeated
Grand Terrace score of thirty six to thirteen.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
That's fantastic right there. And then coming in at number six.
This was a game as well, right here, Coach B.
A lot of people talked about this. A lot of
people thought Norco would be falling off, but they they
really put it to cahone and knocked it off twenty
seven to thirty five.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Who you got number five?

Speaker 3 (07:02):
At number five, you got Orange Vista against Apple Valley
and they took it, said an L.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
I would imagine Apple Valley came and got that win.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
And excuse me real quickly, that's that trip, coach, But
that's almost like a I don't know what you call
that advantage, but when you have to travel all the
way to Apple Valley on a school day from Paris, California.
That's a tough trip. But again its home field advantage
right there for Apple Valley.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, there's a lot of traffic going up that freeway.
I'm sure that's a right, but it's just Apple that's
just right up the street.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
And then who you got at number four?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
He said, that's not far enough. You had number four
yet Oak Hills.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
We're talking about the high Desert Old Kills took on Highland,
and like we said, that's that is the Apple Valley
taking on Victor.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Valley right there.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
And Oak Hill's really really tough football team thirty five
to six, and they made took care of business and
took got that win.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Excuse me, oak Hills over Highland. Who you have at
number three?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
At number three, you got Chaparral. They took on San
Juan Hills. I don't even know where that is me neither.
They won a score of thirty three to thirty eight.
I wonder if that's one of those San Diego schools
actually lost to someone.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Oh they lost, my bad. They lost the thirty three
to thirty eight. And then you got the big boys
coming in at number one to two, will you got.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Well, let me tell you something.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Right there Rancho Kuckamonga coach B and everybody said that
Marriott the Valley should have been ranked, and you know,
I guess they were right because let me tell you something,
a really really tightly contested game and Marriott a Valley
took care of business and they knocked off number two
Rancholl Cuckamonga twenty six, twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Absolutely, and one thing that I always say, uh, if
you want to if you want to get to number one,
because of what we realized. We've done this poll now
for ten years, and what we've realized is the only
the there's only one school that's going to be happy,
and it's the school that's in first place. And I've
always said, unfortunately, in football it's always a race for
number two.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
I remember years ago.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I was in the wireless industry years ago, and people
would get excited to say, hey, we want to be
in third place because they knew Apple and Sam Song
were one and two exactly. And in football it's just
its centennial has separated themselves and we watched that dynasty
happen right in front of our eye ten years ago.
They were a good program a solid program. But now
they've become a national program. And of course they went
out there and I love it when they put it

(09:07):
on those private schools. Centennial went and beat Survey a
score of forty two to fourteenth. So they're gonna be
in the mix once again.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
Yes they are man again. Big you out to Coach
Logan and company. But Coach B, what we're gonna do.
We're just gonna transition real quick, and again we have
very very special guests. But again that is the Fox
Sports Radio and thirteen fifty top ten rankings right there
live in studio, right here, Coach B, we have very
special guests. We're just gonna do a quick station ida
and we will be back with Retlands volleyball.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
You just can't get enough of I E. Sports Nets.
You know, the party doesn't have to stop. Make sure
you listen and subscribe to the podcast search I E.
Sports Net, iHeartRadio Wive Today.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Okay, Coach B.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Here it is right here that we do have very
very special guests. Coach, if you would be so kind,
put out microphone up, introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Please.

Speaker 7 (10:11):
My name is Crin Flowers. I'm the Varsity coach at
Redlands High School for.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Yes, ma'am, coach, thank you so much. Coach coach. If
you want to come in or if you want to
record text some pictures please you mother welcome to come
on in. Okay, fantastic, that's want to make sure the
invite is open. Coach Flowers. Again, this is like your
second home. We love when you guys come in again.
You guys are really the staple of volleyball here in
the Ie. You guys do a wonderful job. But just

(10:37):
talk about this team you have. Obviously there's a lot
of new faces in there. I think only one young
lady who was like he's been there before. So talk
about this team and the preparation for the twenty five season.

Speaker 7 (10:45):
Well, we have a lot of new faces. Like you said,
on the court, we lost some really integral seniors with
Snaya Sobers and Debbie and Eva and Lauren. So we
are kind of rebuilding in the captain area seeing who's
going to step up. But we're doing a lot of
good things. We're working hard, We're trying to figure out
a chemistry. Had a great game against Chaparral beat them.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Yes, yes, congratulations on that, which is a huge accomplishment.

Speaker 8 (11:12):
Yes, so we're just.

Speaker 7 (11:14):
Kind of figuring out our group, figuring out our rotations
and how we're going to start, and it's really fun
to see how these girls did. We did really well
at Queen's Court, tying for third, so that was pretty awesome, fantastic.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
And you know, when I look at it, I remember
when you first started coming in here, coach, you just
wanted to win league.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Now she has a shirt. This is back to.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
Back to back, So tell us about that journey to
go when you just wanted to get the Citrus Belt
and now you guys have become the dominant force in
that league.

Speaker 7 (11:43):
Yeah, it's you know, this is my fourteenth season and
we've had some pretty bad ones. Yeah, congratulating and now
we've you know, three back to back to back CBL championships.

Speaker 8 (11:53):
It's it's an honor.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
I mean, we were playing against some really good athletes
in our league. CBL has always been strong, so I'm
honored to represent these girls to see what they can
do and the adversity that they've overcome. So it's been
really really exciting and just something that's awesome for me.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Fantastic.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
That's good stuff right there, again, we're right here live
with Redlands Volleyball. Now you have some players here. Talk
about this team and what do you find special about
this team.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I know you guys have been really.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
Working hard throughout the course of the summer to get
prepped for the season.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
I think that this is one of the most balanced
teams we've had. We've always been pin heavy with really
good outside hitters, but we have a freshman middle who's
coming up, we have a junior middle, and then we
have a sophomore middle, so we're pretty well balanced that
we can run all three.

Speaker 8 (12:38):
We have a new right.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
Side who's a lefty's who's been very effective for us.
So I just am excited to see our offense a
little bit more balanced so we can spread the net.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Brand new team pretty much sounds and you know, I'll
ask you before you bring them in, talk about the
girls that help build that foundation that have gone on.
We had a couple of them in our All Star game.
Is that going to be difficult to replace that leadership?

Speaker 7 (12:59):
Yeah, I mean that's something that me and my assistant
coach Wino have talked about. You know, Julia Tolstova just
forced to be reckoned.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
With my team.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yes, Yes, out to Julia. Wow, congratulate.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
So she's an athlete and really smart. Yeah smart, I
can't even spell you.

Speaker 8 (13:14):
My team, Lauren Writer was our setter. She's off to
u c.

Speaker 9 (13:19):
L A.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
Not playing, but she was just somebody who was really steady.
And then of course Sanaya and Debbie Sanaia going to
north Ridge. We just saw Debbie play at Valley and
they just were really serious volleyball players but also really
good with the team.

Speaker 8 (13:32):
And so that's obviously we've had that for four years.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
So we're just trying to figure out who's going to
step into that role and really you know, set the
tone for our practices and.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
That's I know we're going to bring the young ladies in,
but that's a testament when the coach still has that
that feeling and that bomb with their players even when
they go to the next.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
That you special. That's a great coach, no doubt about it.
Well again, coach, thank you so much. We appreciate we're
gonna ahead bring your assistant coach in. But again, best
luck to season. Okay you so there it is right there.
Fox Sports Radio AM thirteen fifty Coach being eternal I E.
Sports and net we do have Redlands Volleyball the Terriers
right here, Coach, do what's the courtesy of introducing yourself
to our live radio audience.

Speaker 10 (14:07):
Hi am Hawther Wingo and I'm the assistant coach at
Reyland's Volleyball. I've been assistined for fifteenth this is my
fifteenth season.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Wow, congratulates and fifth. I mean you have seen a
lot of volleyball, Yes we have. But again I'll ask
you the same thing, coach, be your references. I mean,
just talk about the legacy you guys have right now, champions.
You know, three years straight, you guys are doing some
fantastic stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Talk about how special that is for you guys.

Speaker 10 (14:32):
It is it's we put in the work, regardless of
the talent level of our girls, and we've always produced
really high quality teams that have competed well in our league,
you know, getting second, getting third, going representing CBL at postseason,
and just with some of the talent that's come the
last couple of years, we've been able to overcome some
of those powerhouses like rev and New Kaipa and now

(14:56):
we've got Beaumont in our league. Wow, it's a new
addition and they're a powerhouse as well. So it's just
been a journey. We're you know, developing the talent in
our teams and then you know, getting the recognition that
we we're a good, solid program and having athletes come
into our program that make it stronger, and we're just
able to really work with that level of talent and

(15:16):
really push these girls to see how far they can.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Go fantastic and that's awesome. And fifteen years being there
building you have some kids now probably married with families
and whatnot. But what brings you back every year? What
keeps you excited and want to still be involved?

Speaker 8 (15:31):
Oh that's a really good question. Every year we go
how much longer are we going to do this?

Speaker 10 (15:37):
I think just the when you get invited to the
baby showers, the weddings, the you know they're reaching out
to you afterwards, and you just have built this these
relationships with players through the years. That is just like
something that you know as a as a mentor, as
a coach, as a teacher. It's just so fulfilling to

(15:58):
see the journey of these young ladies to try to
help them become not only good athletes, but also really
good humans and just be really strong female role models.
That's just it that brings us back that we just
really enjoy developing them and it's just a passion for us,
and regardless of the level of the team, we're committed
to helping you know, these girls develop, you know again,

(16:21):
as athletes, as students, just as people.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
That's good, that's good.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
I remember I graduated high school in ninety three and
my basketball coach was still there about five years ago.
He just saw me, he said Arrington, and shook his head,
so I knew that I would not have been invited.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Back again, coach. Thank you so much again, Bess. Love
this season when we're happy to see you guys out
there on the court. Okay, thank you. There is Fox
Sports right. We're gonna go ahead bring in the players now again,
coach b This is a Redlands Terriers, the ladies volleyball team,
the young ladies volleyball team. They're doing some great stuff.
Kicked off with the five and two season already. Young
lady put out microphone and she said she's been here before,

(16:56):
so she knows she knows the house rules and everything.
Go ahead and introduce your self to our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Please.

Speaker 11 (17:01):
My name is abra is, I'm a senior at Readlands
High School and I'm a libero.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
Okay, fantastic now, now, coach, we already says the laberto,
the young lady that splits of the shirt, right, you
have the different colored shirt on. Talk about this obviously
you were there last year, but talk about the experience
last year and kind of like, what are you feeling?
How is you feeling about this particular season right now?

Speaker 2 (17:20):
I'm excited for that microphone network you.

Speaker 11 (17:22):
I'm excited for this season. I think that we have
a lot of competition in league, and I think the
games are going to be.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Fun, fantastic.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
So when you go out there, you're the libero and
you roll around like, say, someone questions your judgment, you
do a good play, do you just look at them
and say clocked it?

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Like clock it? No, I'm kidding. I'm just kidding with you.
My daughter gets frustrated because I try to talk to
you guys as language. But tell me, what are your goals?
Is your senior years?

Speaker 11 (17:50):
My senior year? Yeah, Well, my goals for the team
is to win our four P and CBL. I think
it'd be really cool to be able to say that
every year I've been on the team. We want a
CBO time.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
That would be great.

Speaker 11 (18:00):
And then my personal goal is to get first team
All League.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
I'm an old man. When you say four P that
means four times in a row.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Right, but the four P that's good stuff. Well again, congratulations.
I hope you guys, hope you can fill your goals. Okay,
there it is right there. At Fox Sports Radio, we
have Redlands Volleyball.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
She's a senior, she's been there all three years. Yes,
so she's losing.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Yeah, she has nothing, she said.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
All I do is whin.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
That's it. I said, I wake up winning.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Our young lady, put a microphone and introduce yourself to
our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Please him.

Speaker 12 (18:31):
Name of the Tyler Crava. I'm a senior seter at
red Lands High School.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
Okay, fantastic. Now tell me about what do you think
is special about this team? Obviously there's some new faces.
I was talking to your coach about that. Again, senior,
you've seen a lot of it's seen a lot of volleyball.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
But what's special about this team? In your opinion?

Speaker 12 (18:46):
I think that we all have Besides the new faces,
I think we'll all have really good connections, So I
think that could help, you know, with the chemistry over
time in the season as and when we go into league,
it'll help a lot.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Okay, Okay, And have you been there all four years?

Speaker 8 (18:59):
No?

Speaker 12 (18:59):
This this is my This is mean my third year.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
This would be your third year. Okay.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
So when coach says that there were some rough years,
you're like, what does that mean?

Speaker 4 (19:06):
You have no idea what that means? Correct? Kind of?

Speaker 12 (19:09):
I mean I was kind of there, but we had, like,
like my coach said, we had the really good players,
so it was sort of easy to you know, to
get through the hard teams. But now we have to
like really work hards, you know, and we have to
really push ourselves.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
What is that going to be for you?

Speaker 3 (19:23):
The transition from like you said, they had great senior
leaderships have gone off and played at the next level.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Now you're expected to be the leader. Are you ready
to carry that?

Speaker 8 (19:31):
Yes?

Speaker 12 (19:32):
I think so. I think I've gotten enough experience over
the years playing club and playing high school to know
like how to lead a team and to you know,
to help people and help my teammates.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Right, excellent, fantastic, We'll best of luck this season. And
keep it up to good work.

Speaker 8 (19:45):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
There it is right there, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
We have Redlands Redlands High School girls volleyball right here,
live and studio, kicking off to a dynamic season. Young
lady ahead, put that microphone up. Introduce yourself to our
live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Please.

Speaker 12 (19:57):
Hi.

Speaker 13 (19:57):
My name is Ava Jones and I'm a senior outside
for in high school.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
Okay, fantastic. Now, now you have this soft spoken voice,
but I know once you get down there on the court,
I know you are screaming to yell at least like
the rest of your teammates.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
All right, yes, now, now you got again five and two.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
You guys again are really starting off with a great
season in your opinion. What's been the best game for
you guys this season?

Speaker 2 (20:18):
And tell them, Tell tell the audience.

Speaker 13 (20:20):
Why I think so far.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Put that microphone on. I know that's no problem.

Speaker 13 (20:25):
I think, Well, we just hire a game against Chaparral
on Thursday, and I think we did really well, you know,
staying in the game and staying competitive against them, So
I'd say that was probably one of the better games.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Fantastic.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
So what are you looking to accomplish this year? You're
going to get that, like they say, the four P Yeah,
I really hope.

Speaker 13 (20:43):
So I think that Michael is just for us to
hopefully win first in league and then obviously to push
ourselves to see how four we can get in CIF.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Fantastic.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
Well, young lady, keep up the good work, and again,
thank you for being the studio which is okay, thank you.
There it is right here Fox Sports Radio. We're in
the studio with Redlandsolleyball. These young ladies are doing a
great job and again really happy for this program. They
always make sure their young ladies are eight but coming
to studio off the beginning of the season, go ahead
and put a microphone up. Introduce yourself to our live
radio audience.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Place.

Speaker 9 (21:12):
Hi, I'm Joe Sie. I'm a senior setter opposite at
Redland's High School.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Okay, fantastic.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Now for the for the people out there who don't
know what opposite is, help help our audience out and
tell us tell them what that is.

Speaker 9 (21:23):
So they're the right side hitter, they're like at the
far right hand corner.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Hitting as well.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Good stuff right there. Now, I'll ask you the same
thing I ask your teammate for you. I know it's
early in the season, but so far, what would you
feel like is your team's best performance this year?

Speaker 4 (21:37):
And yeah, I'd.

Speaker 9 (21:38):
Agree with Chaparral. I think we brought like really good
energy to that game. We lost the first set, but
we were able to like come back and come back strong.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Fantastic coach bing And you.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Said you're a setter, right, Yeah, okay, So let me
ask you this. When you're out there and you see
and you're going to set set it, do you have
to decide who you're going to set up when you're
doing that?

Speaker 4 (21:56):
And if they get that spike? Is that all? Do
you say? I did that?

Speaker 9 (21:59):
I think it really it depends like, oh, who's like
the strongest hitter on the court in that moment, who's
gonna get like the point for right? Keep going?

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Because I always wonder on that do you guys practice
because there's times I've seen volleyball where they'll they'll set
it and then one person act like they're gonna get
it and then the other person goes and get it.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Does that something you guys practice really are just spontaneous?

Speaker 9 (22:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Okay, okay, I go.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
I just wanted to make sure because there's I know,
there's a lot of rhythm when it goes to volleyball.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
So so you said, that's that's that's just the natural
time I byt, I said, and the continuity between the
team right there, right, good stuff, Well, young lady, good
luck to season and keep up to good work. Okay,
there it is Fox Sports Radio right here alive with
Redlands Volleyball and these young ladies again, if you guys
haven't heard, kicked off the season with their Grade five
and two record, Young lady, introduce yourself to our live

(22:45):
radio audience.

Speaker 14 (22:46):
Please, Hi, I'm Cameron Carpenter. I'm a junior outside.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Okay, fantastic.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
So you're a junior, so how many so how many
years have you been at Redlands?

Speaker 14 (22:54):
Well this is my second year because my freshman year
I transferred in, so I've only been here my sophomore
and I'm junior year.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Okay, fantastic, Now real quick, now, what has been I asked?
I asked some of your teammates, you know, what was
the team's best performance? But this year for you and
put out mic, if I want to make sure the
whole world can hear you when you say this, what
was your best performance?

Speaker 2 (23:13):
You would say this year, this season.

Speaker 14 (23:17):
I think I would have to go back to one
of our tournaments if we play like Marlborough or something
like that. And I was trying to get my fifteen kills.
I like to set a goal, get fifteen kills. Yeah,
and I reached that and I was just very fond
of myself.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
Fantastic, that's good. I like goal stanting. That's good stuff
right there.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Now, I know you got you You probably played club volleyball.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Is it difficult when you play a team and you
haven't scouted them and you're just going out there?

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Is how do you adjust to that?

Speaker 1 (23:43):
It?

Speaker 14 (23:44):
I mean it's not I feel like it's not as
difficult because in club there's so many different clubs, but
we more stick between like are like just like Rev Beaumont,
like it's every single year, it's like pretty much the same,
Like you know who's playing. You might even play club
with some of the people, right, So I feel like
Ahigh School, it's a little bit easier in that aspect
because you know, like you kind of know what you're
walking into and.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
That's so it kill is like a spike, right, you
never get that against one of your club teammates and
how that make you feel.

Speaker 14 (24:11):
But I've also been blocked by my teammates and I'm like,
oh okay.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
Yeah, yeah, they have to get some get back and
got back well again, young lady, best left the season
and keep up to good work. Okay, there it is
right here, Fox Sports Radio. We are in studio with
the Terriers of Redlands, the girls volleyball team, and again
they have kicked off to a wonderful start the season. Younger,
she said, I gotta put our microphone down a little bit. Well,
go ahead and introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Please.

Speaker 15 (24:35):
I'm Corona, I'm a junior, and I'm a DS.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
Okay, you're a real quick again for our audience to
not really up on game.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
What's the DS.

Speaker 15 (24:43):
It's a defensive specialist. So I go back row for
one of our outsides.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
Okay, there it is right now. She gave us some breakdown.
I like, that's good stuff right there. Now, what would
you say in your opinion? Is special about your team?

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Again?

Speaker 5 (24:54):
You guys are five and two right now, back to
back to back champion. I wanna make sure I put
that in there real not to drink back to back,
but another back to back on there. But again, what
do you think is special about this team this year?

Speaker 15 (25:06):
I think we have a really good connection, Like we
all get along so well, and we just like on
and off the court, we love each other, and I
just think that goes into the game so much, like
playing with each other fantastic.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
And with that, when you guys are out there and
you do something successful, how does that feel?

Speaker 4 (25:22):
Because you guys love playing with each other.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
That's something when you say this is all the hard
work in the gym when Coach Flowers was on us.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Now we're starting to see. Is that something you guys
talk about.

Speaker 15 (25:30):
Yes, we really do try to like be with each
other and celebrate as much as we can because we know,
like in the game of volleyball, like celebrating and cheering
can really like do a lot for you in the
long run.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Do you guys have a.

Speaker 16 (25:41):
Chance, Yes, we have a lot of.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Who know who's the administer of the chance? Who do
want to come up with a chance?

Speaker 15 (25:48):
Definitely, I would say our freshman, our freshman middle of Giay.
She loves chanting, she loves just cheering on the team.

Speaker 5 (25:57):
Yeah, good stuff, all right, fantastical, young lady. Keep up
the good work and best like this season.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
There it is right there, Fox Sports Radio in the
house right here with Redlands Volleyball. These young ladies are
doing dynamic this season. She said, I got to pull
the microphone up. It's so funny. It's a microphone pull
up and pull down. We got Dad in the studio
right here too.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
That's good stuff. How you doing that?

Speaker 5 (26:17):
All right, young lady, go ahead, introduce your stuff to
our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Please.

Speaker 9 (26:20):
Hi.

Speaker 17 (26:20):
I'm Jocelyn McNairy and I'm a junior middle blocker at
Redlands High School.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Okay, fantastic, young laders, good stuff right there, now real quick. Now,
you guys are doing great this season. But for you,
what's been one of your best games this season in
your opinion?

Speaker 17 (26:33):
Well, at our first tournament, I rolled my ankle, so
I've been out for two weeks.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Okay.

Speaker 17 (26:38):
My first game back was our Chaparral game, oh wow, Thursday,
and it was just an awesome game. It was so fun.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
So you know you had to get back for that
game right there. I'm sure there's a lot of urgency
to get back on that game.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Fantastic. That's good stuff because you know.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
A lot of athletes will say that when they get injured,
they see the game differently. When you were injured, did
you watch and see anything different that you may not
have caught when you're in the game and say, no,
I need to go here or go there.

Speaker 17 (27:02):
Yeah, it's definitely like a different perspective. I'm able to
see everything going on. It just helped me in our
first game back. I was able to have more awareness
of everything around me and just.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Work hard and didn't make you realize how much you
love the game.

Speaker 17 (27:15):
Yes, every game I was like, oh, I just want
to play so bad. I want to be on the
court right now.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
But I used to say that, but I had no doubt.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
We just stayed on. We just stayed on. I know
how that is.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Poor you.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Well again, young lady.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
Best of luck this season and keep up the good
work you got to do on fantastic all right, there,
it is right there, Fox Sports, right is that the
last one? Okay, let's bring coach Flowers back in real
quick and again that's that is Redlands Volleyball again. These
young ladies are doing great, all right, coach, so real quick,
I'll give us the rundown. What's next for the team?
And obviously you have a fantastic group right there.

Speaker 8 (27:47):
Yeah, I have a bunch of great girls.

Speaker 7 (27:49):
We have two away games this next week, so we
play Riverside Poly and then we are traveling to Glendora.
Oh yeah, okay, so we have about I think five
more preseason games and then Leaks starts with our We're
away at Beaumont. So that's the one that we're gearing up.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Yes, I see the coaches. But you know, coach, you
you were you coached multiple sports. You also coach water polo?
I did did you?

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Did you do do water polo?

Speaker 8 (28:14):
I did? I played water polo at the University of Redlands.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Oh, wimming, I don't swim?

Speaker 4 (28:20):
So what what? What?

Speaker 3 (28:21):
What made you go back and forth? The cutback to volleyball?
You started ranchell verdict?

Speaker 8 (28:25):
I did so.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
I mean, it's just kind of opportunity. I probably was
a much better water polo player. So like shout out
to that. We did win two divisions.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Okay, okay, coach, all she does is win.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
But I was coaching and water polo during high school
is a really rough season.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
It's winter, yes, right, and you practiced early in the morning.

Speaker 7 (28:50):
We were you know, we were pretty talented at Redlands.
Shout out to the Redlands water polo team. When I
took over, they had won eleven straight CBL defeated title.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Wow, you had a lot to well you did.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
You didn't coach at ed Redlands, right, Okay, okay, okay,
I lost that street.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
I was responsible for hand in there, and then you know.

Speaker 7 (29:11):
I was I was just going to take a step back.
I've been coaching for six years, teaching, trying to figure out.

Speaker 8 (29:15):
Like my life.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
I was young, and when I resigned from water polo.

Speaker 8 (29:20):
The volleyball coach left and I was like, and you know,
teaching there.

Speaker 7 (29:25):
I want to build these relationships like we go talked about,
and so I stepped in, thought I'd do it for
a few years.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
And haven't looked back.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
And it's warmer at the gym.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yes, it was much warmer.

Speaker 18 (29:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Well again, coach, again, we want to thank you again.

Speaker 5 (29:37):

Speaker 8 (29:45):

Speaker 5 (29:47):

the Terriers a Redlands and now right now kicking off

We made.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
We made a couple of airs and folks called us,
tweeted us, Instagram, DM does everything and they were like,
fix it now. So I like that. I like when
I like when folks are aware and what's going on
with the team.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
But again five and oh, coach, please do with the
courtesy of introducing yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 23 (33:49):
Thanks for having us guys.

Speaker 22 (33:50):
Kyle Levere, head coach Lintil Christian Girls Flag Football.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
Good stuff right there, coach, really really exciting stuff. I mean,
obviously this sport flag football has just been on fire
here lately. Uh, you know, coach being now, we we
kind of saw it at beginning stages and again big
shout out to coach Constable over at Roosevelt and these
young ladies, I mean, they just have that energy. But

(34:13):
but for you, coaching, you're coaching them, what would you
attribute that that that that on fire situation to. What
do you think Why do you think the sport is
growing so so fast and so quickly.

Speaker 22 (34:24):
Well, we've got multi sport athletes, right, so every girl
that comes to our program has played a sport growing
up in high school.

Speaker 23 (34:31):
We've got everything from track.

Speaker 22 (34:32):
To softball, basketball players, even some some volleyball players have
made the transition over to class flag football.

Speaker 23 (34:40):
But it's a it's competitive.

Speaker 22 (34:41):
Every girl has assets that they can bring, skill sets
that they can bring to the game, and it's a blast.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
I don't know if you guys have found oh yeah, wow,
oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Now one thing that you said about the sport, I
know it's fairly new.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
It just I think it's two or three years it's
been a sanctioned sport.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Do you think we'll get to the point, which suspect
shalai sport where just the girls are just playing, Because
now girls are getting our young ladies are getting scholarships
to play this.

Speaker 22 (35:06):
Yeah, those conversations are happening in terms of athletes coming
up and flag football being their primary sport right right.
There was kind of this this talk that it was
going to be ten years out and it's already starting
right girls coming up into the high school saying that
this is.

Speaker 23 (35:21):
Their primary sport.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Wow.

Speaker 23 (35:23):
So whether that's in it happening in rec leagues.

Speaker 22 (35:26):
We're hoping to launch a middle school flag football team
this fall, and so that development and energy is already
starting at the youth age and growing.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
Fast, right.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
And I love to see it because my daughter when
she was in the school, they didn't have flag football.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
She cheered her brothers onlike yeah, and it's really cool. Now.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
I'm sure the girls that are have siblings that play,
because I know coach Burns does a great job out
there at midfield as well.

Speaker 23 (35:48):
Got shout out to coach Burns.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
Yes, yes, it's always working ring.

Speaker 23 (35:52):
Right now, that that's true.

Speaker 22 (35:55):
Yes, No, We've had some girls that have grown up
and played in some directly, and then a great majority
of our girls have never played before.

Speaker 23 (36:03):
So we're we're.

Speaker 22 (36:04):
Coaching from foundational right, understanding the rules, concepts, awareness, right,
we're teaching the entire game from from scratch.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
Did you coach tackle?

Speaker 22 (36:15):
A little bit of tackle experience, but mostly flag experience.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
I'm gonna say, what's the difference, because, uh.

Speaker 22 (36:21):
Leverage, yeah, physicality, right, You watch our girls play and
they play a very physical style. But speed, right, and
being able to read things and and uh be agile
and quick and yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Yeah, I played on the line. I played on the
line in middle school. It hurts when you go out there.
You block somebody.

Speaker 22 (36:42):
The girls were out watching tackle football last night, right,
and sure, and the boys on and seeing some comparisons,
but the physicality and and tackling is obviously a very
very different.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
But again again five and zero and even knocked off
the the juggernaut rolls avound as well. But just talk
about the season, talk about where you guys are, and
what would you attribute to success to again five and zero.

Speaker 22 (37:05):
Yeah, year two, Right, we had some some rule changes
come via NFHS and CIF, please mention this summer, yep,
and that's changed the style of game, right, it's it's
it's up to the tempo quarterback play has to be
a lot sharper, a lot faster. And so our experience
of getting the opportunity to play last year, I think

(37:26):
we played about twenty eight games with CIF in total,
and so bringing that experience into this year, I mean,
we've got six new programs in the valley, right, wow,
at schools with large schools, with great athletes, and so
I'm already seeing early on that having the experience from
playing last year, even though this style was different, is

(37:47):
incredibly valuable.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Yeah, incredibly growth.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
That's good stuff right here, And again, we have Linfield
right here, the Lions of Linfield Christian Again the growth
Flag football rank number one in our our Fox Sports
Radio poll. Now real quick, talk about these young ladies
you have in Stu and what's special about these young ladies?

Speaker 23 (38:02):
Goodness, give me emotional.

Speaker 22 (38:05):
You know, when you're building a program from the ground up, right,
it's not just about the skills that you're bringing in.
It's a culture that you're trying to create, and so
you need those culture builders to lead the way. And
so you're looking at girls that have been with us
from day one and they're in it right yeah, And
so Linnfield's a special place. They get to do a

(38:26):
lot of other things, from performing arts to like I said,
multi sport athletes and their level of commitment through the summer,
in through the season. I think we spent gosh about
six months together last year and we're on track for
more of that this year.

Speaker 23 (38:43):
And these are girls who.

Speaker 22 (38:43):
Just show up every day, lead others, work hard.

Speaker 23 (38:47):
Challenge each other competitive.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
I imagine a great academic school as well.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Absolutely good stuff right there.

Speaker 5 (38:56):
Well again, culture again, congratulations on the season, and again
you guys.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Are I want to make sure I got my notes.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
You guys right, Marry at a Valley talk about the
preparation for that on the twenty fifth.

Speaker 22 (39:06):
Yeah, so we got marriad a Valley at home on Monday,
brand new program right upstart, and then we go out
to San Juan Hills on Tuesday out in Orange County.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
Okay, we were just trying to figure out where someone
Hills were. Thank you for helping us out.

Speaker 22 (39:20):
They're out in San Juan Capistrano. Those Orange County teams
talk about experience in the world. Direct leagues out there
have have launched quite a while ago until they've got
girls that have played growing up. And so we've we've
got some Orange County schools on on our schedules here
trying to challenge ourselves.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
And that's good. That's good. I like that, coach, Well,
that's good stuff right there.

Speaker 5 (39:38):
Again, Linfield Christian, the Lions of Girls Flag Football right
here live in studio. We're gonna go bring your players in, coach,
but again, congratulations and keep us posted on the progress.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
Of the team.

Speaker 5 (39:48):
Please thanks for having us, cause there it is right
Fox Sports Radio. We're gonna go ahead and bring in
these players. We got to hear it from the players.
First coach. But you want to hear what's going on,
h directly and let these young ladies know what's going on.
Our young lady, Yeah, let's them as jacket. I mean,
how many packed you got on that thing? Let's see
what you got?

Speaker 2 (40:03):
How many? How many you got on there?

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Wow?

Speaker 12 (40:06):
It went?

Speaker 2 (40:10):
I like that right there, Young Nundy?

Speaker 5 (40:11):
Go ahead, represent uh, introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Please.

Speaker 8 (40:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (40:15):
I'm Isabella at Chagaruga. I go to Winfield Christian and
I'm the rusher.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Okay, fantastic.

Speaker 5 (40:19):
Now, now, when you're the rusher, you got to bring
the energy you gotta because you're running around, you're chasing
the quarterback. What is what is your primary role?

Speaker 2 (40:28):
And tell me what's your personal objective when you enter
the game.

Speaker 16 (40:31):
Well, I think my coaches would kill me if I
didn't say watch the run.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I love it.

Speaker 16 (40:39):
But yeah no, the Russian position, I mean it's changed
so much from last year because of the new rules.
But now I got my girl Tiger Lily by my
side rushing with me. So just kind of learning the
different techniques because every team is different, every single team
is different, So kind of just learning the team in
the first three plays, front, offense, and spurs. So kind

(41:01):
of just adapting.

Speaker 4 (41:02):
I love adopting your jacket. So you play American football.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
Now you play football, and I see you you're doing
track and field.

Speaker 4 (41:09):
What's your event in track?

Speaker 16 (41:11):
I sprint.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
But he's my coach, so you can't get rid of
him when you rush. So they know that when you rush,
you got wheels exactly.

Speaker 8 (41:20):
That's why I'm rushing.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
That's I love it.

Speaker 4 (41:23):
What's your favorite sport? And remember your coaches here.

Speaker 16 (41:28):
It's because track is individual, but flag football is a team, right,
so the culture and just the love of everybody. It's
just flag football.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
So if you're a student body, because you sound like
you you're you're a leader.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
You sound like a natural leader.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
Right President. That's the young lady, to keep up to
good work. Can we to see what you guys got
going on for the rest of the season. Okay, there
it is right here Fox Sports Radio. We have Lynnfield
Christian here five and old girls flag football team and
these young ladies are doing spectacle right now. Young lady,
put that microphone up, introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 8 (42:00):
Hi, I'm not Lisa.

Speaker 24 (42:02):
I go to Olymfield Christian School and I play insideline backer.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
Okay, I like it.

Speaker 5 (42:06):
Now, Now do you now talk about your Your coach
said you got a chance to watch the boys last night.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Talk about that experience.

Speaker 5 (42:12):
How was it, What was your thoughts as a team,
what was the conversation going on?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Well?

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Put on, I want to make sure everybody can hear there.

Speaker 24 (42:18):
You go, Me and Bella, who we just heard from,
we lead our students section. Okay, last night it was
super interesting. I mean I've always been a huge fan.
Tackle football has always been my favorite sport to watch.
Bolt up Chargers fan here.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
We do exist. I got I thought there was only
three of them, but now that's.

Speaker 24 (42:44):
So watching the Boys last night was really like it's
a good experience because it's completely different than Flags. I
mean you're like, you're like, oh, pool their flagging and
then you're like, wait, I mean yes, so watching them
play is super fun and I know a lot of
our Flag girls go out and support them, but last
night different energy. First home game, first game, I mean,

(43:08):
boys went out there.

Speaker 8 (43:09):
They played hard.

Speaker 24 (43:10):
Obviously we didn't win, but that's okay. We got we
got other people on our schedules, but just watching them
go out and play and play with resilience and grit
is something that I think everyone can learn from at
our school, not just in our program.

Speaker 3 (43:22):
You had, but tell me a little bit about this
to see how you know, last year, you guys had
a great year.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
But to see now it's all coming together. What great
are you in again?

Speaker 8 (43:31):
I'm a senior.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
Oh yes, she's saying it.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
It's your final year. How excited are you about this
being your last year?

Speaker 24 (43:37):
I mean, I am so excited to see the schools
that we were playing in more local schools so we
don't have to travel as far. Definitely, growth, Yes, it's
a different thing. It's a different beast for tackling this year, definitely,
But I cannot express how excited I am to finish
my year out in the flag football program. I mean,
flag is something I've wanted to play since I was
in fourth grade. So for my senior year to be

(43:58):
playing schools from Orange County, as my coach mentioned earlier,
but schools that I've recognized, like we have Corona Centennial
on our list this year, so that's a huge school
I've always looked at for all sports. I mean, I
am so excited to say the least fanci.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
I love a say about a sayn. I'm ready to
put it on the high paint right now.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
We're young lady, to keep up to good work and
we're going to be looking for you guys this season.
And congratulations on five and zero. There it is right
there we have Lynnfield Christian and coach b again. These
young ladies are doing fantastic Lynnfield Christian, Uh, the Lions
and again flag football right her, young lady where and
she hasn't see another letterman jacket juggernaut right here ahead,
put out microphone and introduce yourself to our librady audience.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Please Hello.

Speaker 25 (44:38):
My name is Kadan Johnson and I'm the quarterback for
the Lynnfield Girls.

Speaker 5 (44:42):
Okay, okay, okay, the quarterbacks in the house all right now.
Now now let me ask you this. Now, do you
prefer the helmets are?

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Do you want to go? No helmet? I mean you
have helped me out, like you let me know how
you want to do it.

Speaker 25 (44:55):
You know, I've never used helmets, Okay, so I feel
like it would you know, interfew.

Speaker 23 (45:00):
Or they are peripherals.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Right?

Speaker 25 (45:03):
We were a little head bands, okay, which I don't
mind those those are those are cool.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
Those are cool.

Speaker 5 (45:07):
Okay, Okay, so you said you can handle those right there?
Now for you again being the quarterback, I mean you're
you're you're throwing down, you know, you're throwing that ball around.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
What's been your best game to see? How about this?

Speaker 5 (45:17):
What was your team's best game this season so far?
In your opinion?

Speaker 25 (45:21):
You know, I would say the most exciting game was
definitely the Roosevelt game because we did work really well
together defense and offense.

Speaker 8 (45:28):
But I would say probably our best collective.

Speaker 25 (45:30):
Team was against Great Oak, Okay, which is our big
high school in the valley. Yes, so that was a
really good offensive game.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
Fantastic, So, miss Kiden, So let me ask you, what
are your goals this year? And what do you look
into a coms QB one that's a lot of responsibility.

Speaker 4 (45:44):
Are what are your goals?

Speaker 25 (45:45):
You know, I would say go as far as possible,
play as many games as possible. That would be our
team's biggest goal, uh huh. And just work together, create
a great team culture and do that through our motto LCR,
which is love, Kurt Jan Resilience. So you know, if
we keep that, our team is gonna do really well
this year and create an awesome culture.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
She sounds like a quarterback. Do you like just I do?

Speaker 2 (46:10):
I can a.

Speaker 4 (46:14):
Chargers fan.

Speaker 25 (46:15):
No, I'm actually a Broncos fan.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
Oh right, right up, man, that's tough. Bo Nix is
a good one.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
We like both and I like bonuses undersized. But he
shows if you put in the work ethic you can
you can perform at this level.

Speaker 4 (46:27):
So I love it.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
That's good stuff. Right.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
That was my problem. I didn't work.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
We're young lady. Keep up the good work and we'll
be keep an eye on you.

Speaker 5 (46:33):
Okay, there it is Fox Sports Radio right here live
in studio with Lynfield Christian Girls flag football, and again
they have started off the season five and oh and
it's so funny because the girls are all smile but I've
seen their pictures and they are serious when they play.
Young lady, go ahead, put that microphone up and introduce
yourself to our live video audience.

Speaker 8 (46:49):
Please, Hi, Jasmin Lton. I'm the running back.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
Forstian Okay, it's running backs in the house now. Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 5 (46:54):
Now, now, would you rather run the ball or catch
the ball out of the backfield?

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Big question?

Speaker 24 (47:01):
I gotta say catch it because when I run it,
you know you're already five yards back, So catching it
you get those yards?

Speaker 18 (47:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (47:07):
Right, good stuff.

Speaker 5 (47:08):
Now, now real quick for you personally, what would you
say has been your personal best game? You guys are
five and zero, but out of that five, what would
you say your best game so far?

Speaker 8 (47:16):
Against Great Oak? For sure?

Speaker 6 (47:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (47:18):
I got a lot of good.

Speaker 24 (47:18):
Runs that game.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
Okay. Now do you run track as well?

Speaker 4 (47:22):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Okay, fantastic coach b Now what's your favorite sport?

Speaker 4 (47:26):
It's going to be flag football. What got you involved
in flag? Do you have siblings or anyone to play?

Speaker 8 (47:32):
Okay?

Speaker 17 (47:32):
So my freshman year there was a lot of talk
about football is going to be coming to Windfield, and
I immediately knew like that was the.

Speaker 24 (47:39):
Sport that I was going to want to play.

Speaker 17 (47:40):
So that's what can be into it.

Speaker 4 (47:42):
Fantast how's the experience been for you?

Speaker 8 (47:43):
Great? Really fun?

Speaker 14 (47:44):
Our team, the culture is amazing, really welcoming group.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
I love it because I.

Speaker 5 (47:49):
Love congratulations young lady, keep up to good work and
again congratulates on the five on the start.

Speaker 8 (47:53):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
There it is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (47:54):
We have Linfield Christian right here live and studio, And
if you guys haven't seen a game of flag football,
you guys need to make sure you guys get down
to your local high school quick fast, in a hurry
and check out these young ladies. All right, here we go,
young lady, introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
Please.

Speaker 18 (48:09):
Hi, I'm Dan Yellow Falen and I play safety and
wide receiver for Linfield Christian Football.

Speaker 5 (48:14):
Okay, so I think I saw a picture. Was that
you that was up there trying to like block the
ball or something like that?

Speaker 4 (48:19):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (48:20):
She was like, likely it was got up Now, now
now do you do you have? I got to ask
you this because if you play both sides, is it
better to get an interception or or catch the ball
get a reception in your opinion?

Speaker 8 (48:32):
Okay?

Speaker 18 (48:32):
So I love interceptions, That's like my favorite. So I
had to say interception. That's the best feeling.

Speaker 5 (48:38):
Okay, good stuff right there. And I ask the same thing,
what was your best game this season?

Speaker 8 (48:42):
This season?

Speaker 18 (48:43):
I would say against Roosevelt because we as a defense,
we worked so well together. You can just tell that,
like you're such a competitive team. And personally I got
four interceptions and so it's just not the best feeling
and just shutting them down. It was an a tense
game and we just went in confidence and we came
out with the results.

Speaker 4 (49:02):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (49:02):
Now, no one thing is I know I've spent a
lot of money on this with my wife and my daughter.

Speaker 4 (49:06):
How do you play and keep your nails.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
Looking so good?

Speaker 4 (49:09):
And you're out there? I mean, you're getting after it.
How do you do this?

Speaker 8 (49:14):
It's it's a challenge, but I love it.

Speaker 5 (49:18):
I tell you, my wife chips and nails the end
of the yea, I know that's nine one one right there?

Speaker 4 (49:22):
So four interceptions. That's your best game ever, Yes, it is.

Speaker 18 (49:26):
I tied my own record.

Speaker 8 (49:27):
From last year.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
Oh we know. So how many interceptions did you have
last year?

Speaker 8 (49:30):
Nineteen?

Speaker 4 (49:33):
How many touchdowns?

Speaker 8 (49:34):
That touchdowns?

Speaker 18 (49:35):
I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Remember remember the interception?

Speaker 14 (49:39):
Though?

Speaker 2 (49:39):
That's funny.

Speaker 4 (49:40):
Do you ever look at the other quarterback and say,
don't you know this one? I wonder? I love it.
She's standing on business.

Speaker 5 (49:48):
I like that, young lady. Will keep up the good work.
We'll keep eye on you. Okay, there it is Fox
Sports Radio. We're right here live in the studio with
Liffield Christian Girls flatfoot. But we're gonna a war and
bring a coach back in. It looks like we got
all the players. We're gonna bring the coach back in
when it. Make sure we give a shout out to
the program. This program has been doing fantastic coach. What
a great group you have there. Uh, these young I
mean they are fired up again, very well spoken, sharp.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Young lad.

Speaker 5 (50:11):
I mean, I know that keeps you on your job,
but real quick, I want to make sure because again
I know it's a it's a it's a small knick
community over a Lynnfield, but I want to give you
a chance to kind of get some shout outs to
the supporters, faculty, anybody who has been helping out the program.

Speaker 22 (50:24):
Absolutely, I mean from day one, Right administration pushing things
through getting us launched last year. Right talked about how
important that extra.

Speaker 23 (50:32):
Year of development was for us.

Speaker 22 (50:33):
So everybody from assistant athletic Director Amber Young to the
head of school Mark Corton getting that going for us.

Speaker 23 (50:43):
But even more than that.

Speaker 22 (50:44):
Like we've had parental support, community support. Our game is, man,
We've got we've got some loud fans in the stands,
love it and gonna get louder. Right, We're excited for
school to start, yes, and students to get out and
support their friends. Yeah, but no, We've we've got a
great community around us, full support. These last couple of weeks, right,

(51:04):
the energy that you guys have have pumped into the
program as well has been felt.

Speaker 23 (51:08):
Yes, sir, we're on the We're on Instagram now.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Yeah, hey there it is real quick plug the Instagram
real quickly.

Speaker 23 (51:15):
So Linfield Girls flag Football.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
I'm happy for that because we used to have to
We used to have to tag the athletics before, which
which did a fantastic job. But now but now we have.

Speaker 23 (51:24):
Yours flag football specific and that was launched.

Speaker 4 (51:27):
Uh.

Speaker 22 (51:27):
You know, the game is growing so fast, particularly at
the collegiate level.

Speaker 23 (51:31):
Yes, across the country.

Speaker 22 (51:32):
We're we're getting notifications every day, have new programs that
are getting launched. The time invested in getting that going
and being well and well done and attractive, yes, is
really to try and connect our girls with opportunities that
are popping up every single day. So if you're a
if you're a freshman in our program, right, you've got
the landscape now until the time you're a senior and

(51:54):
you're making your college decision is just going to.

Speaker 23 (51:56):
Be so different. So we're trying to keep pace.

Speaker 3 (51:59):
Yeah, you guys are doing it, man, but I do
want to no, No, I'm just excited about you. And
you know, when you think about this, when when flag
football started just a few years back, I know Riverside
got a head start on San.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Bernardino, but did you envision this.

Speaker 3 (52:11):
I mean colleges getting girls, getting free educations and all
the recruiting, and I think it's going to be the
most popular female sport.

Speaker 4 (52:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 22 (52:19):
So we we hosted a jamboree at our place about
a week ago, hosted some of our brand new programs
in the valley there. And to think that eighteen months ago,
this wasn't even a concept idea right right now, college
opportunities are following following suit right right.

Speaker 23 (52:37):
You haven't even touched Division one, I know, and the opportunities.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
Imagine that there, right, Yeah, there's a Division one programs
out there.

Speaker 23 (52:44):
There are a few had one yes in Alabama state.
But we're looking for him here in California.

Speaker 2 (52:50):
Yes, exactly.

Speaker 23 (52:51):
Girls want to stay in California.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
Yeah, what that happened? They're going to be on fire, yeah.

Speaker 22 (52:54):
No question right, And the talent pool continues to grow
as athletes find their way from other fall sports of
the winter and spring sports into the game, and so
the talent continues to grow. There's going to be more
and more opportunities just here inside and so call right,
We've got Redlands. Here is the good local Division three

(53:15):
Pierra Losierra's here, I hope international, Yes, yes, yep, so
it's it's it's happening.

Speaker 5 (53:23):
Fast, fantastic Again, coach, congratulations on the seeds, and again,
you guys are doing a phenomenal job. Obviously, have a
great group right there. The sort of foundation is set
for you guys, so we'll keep eye on you. I
like the fact that you guys are stepping up to
play those OC teams. I like, you know again you
see that with Roosevelt, see that with Western Christian. Some
of these better teams are like, hey, let's let's step
up to the challenge.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
So again, keep keep up the good work. Like the
fact that you guys are doing that.

Speaker 23 (53:47):
