Speaker 1 (00:08):
Yes, yes, good morning. We are right here live on
i E. Sportsnet number one, right here in the great
Inland Empire. Thanks everybody for tuning in. Happy to have
you guys right here with us again. I am your
host Eternal I use sports thing on Fox Sports Radio.
You know you can hear us right here live every

(00:29):
Saturday morning at nine a m. And we rock and
roll until ten am. We have a great, great show
lined up for you today. You guys don't want to
miss it. Got a chance to hang out yesterday. It
was a really really great, great game. Our game of

(00:49):
the week that I would say. And again we had
the good folks, the Mustangs from Vista Marietta taking on
the Cougars of Beaumont. Both of those teams were undefeated
going into the game and it did not disappoint. Really
really competitive fourth quarter. We were hoping to have Beaumont in,

(01:10):
but we will have them in soon. But yeah, a
really really competitive game. Big shout out to Vista Marietta.
Pulled off the victory in dramatic fashion, big time interception
with seven seconds left to go. Beaumont has a great,
great quarterback over there, I mean, the kid is special.
Ran around everywhere has a laser for an arm. But

(01:33):
let me tell you something, Vista Marietta, they look really
good on both sides of the ball. And I mean
they were competitive, well coached football team and they kept
the pressure on Beaumont all night long. So big shout
out to Vista Marietta for pulling off that big time victory.
And again Fox Sports Radio right here live. I am
your host, Eterner. We have some special guest here in

(01:55):
the studio as well, so I want to make sure
that we get a chance to shout them out a
little bit, make sure we put some respect on them.
They're doing some great things, so I want to make
sure we show some love to those folks here. We
have from my alma mater. I'm really excited to have
this young man here in studio. One of the top
running backs in the nation, the top running back for

(02:18):
CIF Southern Section. We are speaking about none other than
mister Lorenzo Sims in the house, running back for the
Ramona Rams. Really happy to have this young man on air.
It's going to be great. I can't wait to talk
to him. They knocked off Polly, which is always good.
Knocked them off in dramatic fashion last night, so we'll
get a chance to chat with him about that as

(02:40):
well as you know, going into the night he had
nine hundred and thirty seven yards if I'm not mistaken,
twelve touchdowns. I believe the latest report is that he
has now he got three touchdowns last night, so I
think he got five touchdowns, So we'll kind of get
a chance to highlight that a little bit more. And
then also we have in the house two separate flag

(03:01):
football teams representing the great County of Sara Bernardino. We
have United Christian Academy and AQUANAUS Girls Flag Football here
in the house. So really happy to have the coaches
as well as young ladies. They have a big time
game coming up that is sponsored by the LA Rams.
That game is going to be taking place on the
twenty third, so really happy to talk to them a

(03:24):
little bit about that. Some scores that were going on.
You know, again, we are the source right here where
you guys can get your scores, all the scores that
are taking place here in the ie. But again we
have your top ten scores for your top ten football
teams right here live in the Illin Empire. Yes, yes, indeed,

(03:49):
so we have our top ten coming in at number ten. Again,
this is the top ten Fox Sports Radio Prep football rankings.
That rankings, well, the brand new rankings will drop tonight,
but again it's the Inland Empire Fox Sports Radio Prep rankings,
the top excuse be the top ten prep football rankings,
and we're gonna start off with number ten. Number ten

(04:11):
coming into it was Chino Hills. They had a big
time game and unfortunately they fell to San Clemente. San
Clemente is playing a really good football They also knocked
off Chaparral earlier in the year. However, San Clemente is
gonna get a chance to see how good they are
because they'll be playing the number two team in the
Eland Empire, which is Marriot the Valley, next week, so

(04:32):
we'll get a chance to kind of see how they roll,
how they fare in that what we call the big
time top five football teams here in the Inland Empire.
But again coming at number ten, now Chino Hills number nine,
we have Oak Hills. Oak Hills, really they they've been tough.
They fell to Rancho Cucamonga earlier in the year, but
Oak Hill's has a very, very talented young quarterback over there.

(04:55):
I'm currently three and two on the season, and they
knocked on Saint Bonaventure with the score sixteen to fourteen.
And then we have Damien. Damien right now came into it.
They're at number eight, and they knocked off looked like
celloson a celazon and they knocked him off forty to eighteen.

(05:15):
And then again we had the aforementioned Boma Beaumont. They
again really really competitive game again it was and now
the record is four and one, and they like they
fell to Vista Murray out of fourteen to twenty one.
And then you have Rancho Cucamonga. They played the Juggernaut,
the Inland Empire Juggernaut. And everybody always asked, you know

(05:35):
what's going on Centennial, But let me tell you something.
Big shout out to coach Logan for bringing it home
for the Inland Empire knocked off the despised modern day.
So big shot out to Coach Logan, the whole Centennial Huskies.
Everybody over there, the Huskies Nation. I think they call

(05:58):
it the eve Olympire, if I'm not mistaken, and they
hold true to that every Friday or Saturday night. However,
y'all want to do it. But again that is Rancho Cucamonga.
They fell to Centennial and they fell to Centennial forty
two to fourteen. Then you had Norco. Norco really played
some dynamic football right now on the season, undefeated five

(06:19):
and zero, and they knocked off Citrus Valley with the
score of fifty two to twenty one. And then you
had Vista Marietta again as I mentioned right now, currently undefeated,
so big shout out to the Mustangs over there playing
really really good football right now. And like I said,
they knocked off Beaumont twenty one to fourteen. And then
you had Chaparral who knocked off Crosstown. I don't know

(06:39):
if that was a rivalryette, but they knocked off Crosstown
team Great Oak sixty four to fourteen. And then you
have Marrietta Valley. They really put the whooping on King
last night forty nine to seven. And then you had
against Centennial knocked off Rancho Cucamonga. You can find all
that information on our website. Again, you can find all
that information right there. The top ten, the brand new

(07:01):
top ten will be posted today later on today, so

Coach me here, heard on Fox Sports Radio. And when
I'm out in the beast, there's only fun things that

but make sure you download the Baker's Ats earned points

(09:39):

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yes, we are live in the great City Riverside at
the iHeartRadio Studios is I used sports Net on Fox
Sports Radio and I am your host eternal and we
do have a very very special guest here live in
the studio represent from my alma matter.

Speaker 14 (10:17):
Man.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
That's you know, I used to be on those halls,
you know, great stuff, So I'm glad to have this
young man in. So, young man, please do it the
courtesy of pulling that microphone up, introducing yourself to our
live radio audience.

Speaker 15 (10:27):
Please, how y'all doing?

Speaker 16 (10:28):
My name is learn those sense I got it, Ramona
running back number zero.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
There it is right there. Now. You know it's rare
that we see running back or any players get number zero.
So tell our audience how you were able to make
that happen.

Speaker 16 (10:41):
Honestly, I just kind of as coach, you know, I
got that senior courtesy.

Speaker 14 (10:44):
So he just got it.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Okay, he looked out for you. Gave you a solid
Now you so that was that was this year? What
number were you before?

Speaker 15 (10:52):
That was number twenty eight? Last year?

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Okay, okay, now talk about that. You know again we
know coach Machenski, Well, how is it? You know, obviously
the programs turned around. I mean you guys, we you know,
Ramona hasn't been winning since I was there ninety eight.
I know it seems like you know, they were writing
on stone back in there. You know that those you know,
really at ninety eight eighty nine. Excuse me, it was
the last time we were nice like that. But again,
I mean, Ramona traditionally has good running backs. You know,

(11:16):
back in the day, we had guys like DeAndre for
Troy Thomas. Back in the day, I got Curtis Thomas.
But now here you are, you're leading the charge. Talk
about how it is, you know again being a Romona
ram working with coach Maschinsky.

Speaker 15 (11:28):
Honestly, it's really great.

Speaker 16 (11:29):
You know, a lot of big shoes to feel, especially
with the past running backs we had, you know, just
a lot of great running backs, so you know, feeling
those shoes always feels good.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
You know, good stuff right there. Now you've you gots
a five and o right now, five and oh. But
before we get to your five and oh, start again.
You came in the last night nine hundred, three hundred,
nine hundred and thirty seven yards. We're still trying to
figure out how many yards you had last night, but
we know you had a lot. But talk about that.
How the season been going, man, and again, obviously that's

(11:56):
a huge accomplishment for you.

Speaker 15 (11:58):
Honestly, the season been going really great.

Speaker 16 (12:00):
You know my on line, you know, they really been
stepping it up, you know, putting into the blocks. The
defense really good at holding the opposing team's off offense.

Speaker 15 (12:08):
And yeah, they've been doing really good.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Okay, now is it is it at practice? Is it
one of the things that they're doing right now? Is it?
H Is it just get to get the ball to
sins and everybody's backs up? Or what's the offensive scheme
for the Ramona Rams.

Speaker 16 (12:20):
Honestly, we're really good at, like, you know, doing everything,
so it just matters, like about how we're doing.

Speaker 15 (12:25):
Against the teams.

Speaker 16 (12:26):
So if we, uh, if we could pass the ball
against the team, we're going to pass the BALLF we
could run the ball, we gonna run the ball.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
That's good stuff. Right there now again, last night, you
guys played a rivalry. You know, it hasn't really been
a rival because you know, we've been we've been whipping
on Polly, which I just I want to tell you
how excited we are because it took a long time
for Pobly to even want it like that, you know.
But you know, good thing. You know we've been, we've been,
we've rubbing our rabbits feet and so now we played
poly now. Uh, but talk about the game last night

(12:51):
and how it felt to knock off Polly.

Speaker 16 (12:53):
Honestly, it felt really good. And you know, we came
into the game with a lot of energy. Uh, you know,
my team really motivating each other. You know, they're doing good.
It felt really great to you know, beat them another time,
you know, especially for my last year.

Speaker 15 (13:05):
You know what I'm saying, I don't want.

Speaker 14 (13:06):
To lose.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Exactly. No, I totally get that. And again it's Fox
Sports Radio right here live at the iHeart Radio Studios.
We're here with start running back for the Ramona Rams,
Lorenzo Sims. Now, now talk about this man again. You're
doing some great things, but talk about your preparation. I mean,
what is it like because again. You know, most guys
come in there. I mean, you know, I know you
coming there and people see they like, he ain't gonna
be able to do nothing, and that next to you know,

(13:28):
you scooting biom. But talk about the preparation for you
in terms of becoming the running back now again with
over a thousand rushing yards in just five games.

Speaker 16 (13:35):
Honestly, it just took a lot of like hard work
in the off season, you know, just going out every day,
putting in work, you know, doing for work drills, you know,
working out, eating good, eating right, getting enough sleep, you
know all that stuff. So honestly, I just think, you know,
you just got to commit yourself to it, you know,
just go one d percent every play and all that.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
And yeah, okay, good stuff, good stuff against Fox Sports Radio.
Right here, I U sports now again, we'll start running
back Lorenzo Sims. Now, do you have for the in
the NFL? Is there somebody that you model your game
after that you look at like, that's my that's my
favorite running back right there, and that's kind of how
I do my thing. Jamior Gibbs, Okay, okay, now tell
me tell me what do you how do you feel
about that? What do you like about Jamior Gifts?

Speaker 15 (14:13):
Honestly, he's very like fast, elusive.

Speaker 16 (14:15):
You know, he can hit and like he knows how
to make moves and like I kind of just like
modeling my game play after that because you know, I
kind of like contact pretty quick. You know, I can
move around and stuff. So you know, it's really good
running back to model at two.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Okay, Now, now you guys have a unique excuse me,
excuse me, you have a You guys have a unique
opportunity where you guys may just be able to go
undefeated in the season. I'm not gonna put thathing out
there because anything can happened, you know ever, you know,
any you know, anytime Friday night. But you guys have
a unique opportunity to go undefeated. You guys had a
great season last year. Obviously you guys stumbled a little
bit in the playoffs. But talk about what's the what's

(14:46):
your goals for the season, and then the overall goal
for the team.

Speaker 16 (14:50):
My goal is still winning the state championship. The overall
goal for the team is to go sixteen to know, see.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
I like that sixteen to know all the way in
state championship. Now you guys obviously got the state championship before.
How was that feeling for you? Again, you were just
a junior then, but now you're a senior. Now you're
one of the leaders on the team. Talk about how
the experience was for you.

Speaker 16 (15:09):
Honestly, it was a very like bitter experience, you know,
because I was allowed to practice with the team, but
I was never really allowed to dress out. So you know,
I really feel like like I had earned it. So
you know, coming in this season, it's like I got
a little bit like a chippy mall shorter because you
know what I'm saying, Like, now I get to like
earn it. I feel like I really get to earn
it because I get to play in the games and stuff.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Right, that's good stuff.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Man.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Well again, young man, you're doing a great job. You
have a great, great career ahead of yourself.

Speaker 13 (15:35):
Now.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
I got to ask you before before we before we
wrap up, is there a game you has only five
games in, but was there a game that stood out
to you this season where you had everything going, the
line was blocking and you had one of your better games.
Tell an audience what game that was and why that
was for you.

Speaker 16 (15:50):
I have to say a Hill, Chris Game. I ran
for three hundred and seventy nine yards six touchdowns. Honestly,
I feel like, you know, the whole offense was on fire.
You know, James Bay, you know that's my guy. You know,
he's really good right tackle, Fernie, really good left guard.

Speaker 15 (16:05):
Yeah, my guy Eli.

Speaker 16 (16:06):
You know, they was all just putting their bodies on
the line for me, and you know, I just really
appreciate them. And you know I was just allowed to
like work off of that, you know, go one hundred
percent for them like they was going on a hundred
percent for me.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
That's good stuff.

Speaker 14 (16:15):
Man.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Well again, man, that's good stuff right here.

Speaker 17 (16:16):
Now.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Now what's good about you. What I like to see
is you got a whole good support system and here
everybody's in here, got the whole family. And you make
sure let an audience know who we have in studio
with us today.

Speaker 15 (16:27):
I got my stepmom Merbo Sins.

Speaker 16 (16:29):
Okay, my dad Reggie Sins, my little brother Elijah Sins,
and my homie Camari bro.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Okay, there it is right there. That's represented right there.
We'll a getting young man. You keep up the good
work man again, you represent for the rams man. So
you always got to you always got a home here.
We appreciate that man. Keep up the good work, man,
and to get best of luck to you man. And
then again we're pulling for you. Okay, sir, thank you.
Pride there it is right there, Ram pride right there
again the Fox Sports radio start running back right there.
Lorenzo sins doing some great things right there for the
high school man where I used to do with that

(16:54):
man back in the day. And I only played about
I don't know, I think I only played about five
seconds of varsity, so you know, you know, don't worry
about I mean, you know, you know, you know I
made one thing. My mom was proud because she didn't
have to watch my jersey much, you know what I mean,
So it kind of stayed clean. There it is right there.
But again, young man, keep up to good work. We'll
be looking forward to senior. All right, thank you there
it is right there. He said fifteen and oh he

(17:15):
said sixteen to o sir, sixteen and oh, I mean
I mean they go all the way undefeated for the championship.
That'd be great. I'd be eppy. I'd be good record
setting for the Rams and were looking forward to that Okay, there,

City Riverside. It is I a sports net on Fox
Sports Radio. I am your host eternal and again we
are rocking right here live every Saturday morning, bringing you
all the up to dated sports right here live in
the Inland Empire. We do have a very special guest
first time here in the studio. Matt Good stuff right here.
So it's always good to have a first time guests.

(20:03):
But coach, please pull that microphone up. Do us the
courtesy of introducing yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 20 (20:08):
Please, I'm coach Jenny with United Christian Academy.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
There it is right there now, coach, good stuff.

Speaker 13 (20:15):
Man.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I like to see when people are reaching out and saying, hey, man,
check out our program. We're doing some good stuff. But
but talk about number one girls flag football just going
bananas right now. But talk about what's going over there,
uh at United Christian Academy and how everything's going for
you as a coach. Oh, it's everything's going good.

Speaker 20 (20:32):
Last year was our first year, so we had you know,
we our numbers are pretty low, but we had.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
We had a good time.

Speaker 20 (20:37):
You know, the girls came out. The main thing was
for them to develop, uh and then having to learn
the brand new sport from the beginning, you know, so
no bad habits.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Which was the great part, you know, right like clay
this right there.

Speaker 20 (20:50):
It was perfect. So you know, there was a lot
of learning curves. But overall, the girls, you know, they
showed up every weekend, week out, uh, and you know,
did what they had to do on the football field.
So every you know, their challenges was, you know, building
their confidence and in the game that they were not
familiar exactly.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
And that's one of the things we always hear when
coaches come in. They talk about the commitment that the
young ladies have.

Speaker 13 (21:13):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
The boys, you know, sometimes we kind of be a
little knucklehead every now and I gotta go find us.
But the girls are right there, So I mean talk
about that how the girls. I mean, I've coached both, right,
I coached.

Speaker 20 (21:24):
I coached the boys and the girls, and the boys,
you know, they come in with a lot of bad habits.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
You know, this is how my coach told me. This
is my trainer told me that exactly. So they have
their way of what a route looks like.

Speaker 20 (21:36):
When I got a chance to coach the girls, it was,
you know, I told them, okay, this is a dig, right,
and they ran exactly what it was. They didn't have
to make it up. They were like, coach said, this
is what it is. I can't do nothing different. And
then I tried to say, hey, bend it just a
little bit, where they're like, you didn't. So it's great
because they're they're very receptive there. They're a sponge. They

(21:58):
soak it in. They they take everything and then once
they see the results, then the game changes.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Yeah, no doubt about it. And now talk about this
big game you guys have going on again. Obviously you
guys are building that rivalry over there, and it's always
it's a football. It's a great thing like that. But
talk about you guys were able to get some hooked
up with the NFL team, So talk to audience a
little bit about that.

Speaker 20 (22:16):
Coach Rays will also talk about it because he was
the one. I didn't know that he had nominated us
last year. Last year was our first time playing right,
so it was actually a first full season, and then
we played them. You know, we were both struggling, you
know with wins and stuff like that, but overall, we
had a program that was developing and that was growing,
and while we were out there playing, it was you know,

(22:37):
the relationship was there. Because when you get to like
minded coaches that are about development, building confidence and stealing care,
you know, doing all that good stuff, and then that
you know, it changes the game and they now we're
out there to build these girls up, to give them
a platform, to make sure that everything is lined out
for them. So you know, we got a chance to play,
and that became a real showdown and we said, hey,

(23:01):
every year, let's do this, you know. So this year
when he got you know, he submitted. Then I got
an email because we were struggling to get a team together, right,
so all summer it was hard to get girls to
come in to practice or just show it to make
a team.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
So we're just now coming out.

Speaker 20 (23:17):
We saw the email, you know that from the Rounds
that they wanted to sponsor. They wanted to see us
as the game of the week. So when that came out,
I was like, well, I gotta go go recruit a
whole bunch of girls so we can get this thing going.
Administration make the announcement. Yeah, and the thing is I'm
the ad, So I was so I had. I was like, hey, man,
I got to go rally these girls up. So I did.

(23:38):
So we had our first practice yesterday. We had about
sixteen seventeen girls coming.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
So it's just a matter of now that we have
that game set out.

Speaker 20 (23:47):
Uh, you know, me and coach Rees from a Quinn's
we were talking. We were like, hey, why don't we
make you know, football has you know, like you know,
I live in him and you know, they have the
Battle of the Bell. There's always these high game competitions,
and I said, Coach, I said, well, why don't we
do it. You know, why don't we start a tradition
for our girls where you know, we'll you know, wherever
we go, we'll bring a trophy to the field and

(24:08):
we're playing for that trophy.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
That way, you know, it is nice to girls something
and they know that.

Speaker 20 (24:13):
Hey, look, even though it's we're going to create a
little semi rivery game.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
But it's still fun.

Speaker 20 (24:19):
Right, So we have food afterward, you know, Coach Rays
brings a taco and you know, we have food and
stuff and it's just a good fellowship at the end
of the day. But it's just all about you know,
I'm trying to get We're trying to get these girls
to understand that, Look, it's a new sport. We're all
in this together, yes and right, so we're just collectively
coming together as a community and then we're creating it.
So our first one is this Tuesday on the twenty third,

(24:43):
and it's the first annual girls Flag Football Battle of the.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Flags, Battle of the Flags. Love it Coach again. It's
Fox Sports Radio right here live in the great city
of Riverside. Again the Ice Sports and a Fox Fox
Sports Radio coach. Good stuff right there. I mean, keep
us posting on that. We're definitely going to try to
make sure that we make it out there for that
because again, love to see it. We want to promote
the sport as much as we can. These young ladies
deserve it. They do a great job. But again, coach,
keep up the good work. We want to make sure

(25:07):
we bring your players on. We got a couple players,
so let go ahead, bring these young ladies on. I
heard they were drawing sticks to figure out who's gonna go.
Who's gonna go first? Let's see what's gonna happen here.
But again a Fox Sports Radio, thank you, coach, appreciate it. Okay,
all right, here we go. Young lady, all right, they
put that microphone up. Go ahead, introduce yourself to our
live radio audience.

Speaker 14 (25:24):
Please.

Speaker 19 (25:25):
I'm Diviny Sanchez. I'm a high school senior and I
attend you.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Okay, fantastic. Now, tell everybody about the excitement you had
when you found out that La Rams are gonna be
sponsoring this game. That means, you know, I mean, this
is the team you know, normally see on Sundays, they're
gonna be coming out there helping you guys, support you guys.
What did that mean to you as a player.

Speaker 19 (25:43):
I'm really excited to, you know, see them and just
play the sport. I really fell in love with this sport.
Last season I was said that we couldn't have a team,
but I'm really excited for this upcoming game.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Okay, fantast Now last question, Now, do you wear any
kind of like I know sometimes the young ladies where
I make I mean, could you smiling now? But I
know when the girls out there, they got the whole
different faith, whole different demeanor. Talk about how you approach
the game.

Speaker 19 (26:06):
Well, to start off, I probably just like lock in
with some music, okay, and then you know we put
on an eyeblag to make us look a little tough.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Well it works, Your young lady, really do a good
job out there, and to get best of luck on
I think that's Tuesday, right, best luck on Tuesday? Okay,
keep up with good work all right there it is right,
there's Fox Sports Radio again, young lady, were gonna go
ahead bring in one of your teammates on it's Fox
Sports Radio. We have united Christian Academy. In here the
girls flag football team. They're gonna be having a It's
called the Battle of the Flags, right Coach, you want
to make sure I get that correct again, young lady,

(26:37):
put that microphone up so the whole world can hear you.
Please introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 17 (26:42):
I'm Chloe Saffra. I'm also a senior at UCA and
this is my first year for flag football.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Wow, first year? Okay, Now what got you into it?
Because I mean flag, I mean football number one. Flag
football is like one of the hottest sports growing right now,
no doubt about it. But what attracted you to the sport?

Speaker 17 (26:59):
So I use really play volleyball in the fall, which
I'm actually.

Speaker 14 (27:02):
Doing right now.

Speaker 17 (27:02):
But when Coach Denny said that we needed a team
to put together for this game, I thought it was
pretty exciting and so I wanted to give our team
a chance to do it. So I decided to play
because I think it'd be fun and try something new.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
That's good stuff right there now Now again, it's Battle
of the Flags. Big stuff right there?

Speaker 21 (27:18):
Now?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Is your family, big football fans? Or I mean, how
is everybody coming? Because of the rams are there? How
excited are you are your friends and family about the
LA Rams being involved with your flag football game.

Speaker 17 (27:29):
I think we're pretty excited. Were We watched football on
the weekend, so I think it's pretty exciting that the
Rams are doing this, and my family's.

Speaker 15 (27:36):
All gonna come watch.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
So fantastic. Well, best of lucky, young lady, keep up
to go work. Okay, it's Fox Sports Radio right here.
We have United Christian Academy. Now we're gonna go ahead
and bring up our football coach, I mean the flag
football coach. Excuse me from Aquantas. We also have a
quantasy here live in studio, and again that is always
great because I think I think coach, it is your
first time being a studio with this police. Put that
microphone out, Yes it is Okay, Well, fantastic coach, go

(27:57):
ahead and introduce yourself to our love radio audience.

Speaker 21 (27:59):
Play nama Is Ray Ray, I'm Aquinas high schools girls
like football.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Coach there it is right there, coach, good stuff. Number one.
You guys have hands down one of the better stadiums
in the whole entire You know, are you guys going
to break out the jumbo trying.

Speaker 21 (28:12):
We're going all out Tuesday.

Speaker 14 (28:14):
We wanted to know.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Oh yes, yes, so, I mean, and what a you
know again, what a great spot for the sport. Talk
about again how you obviously the coach from excuse me, coach,
your name's beside me right now, but the coach from
You're Not a Christian Academy said you were the one
to kind of connect the dots. Talk about how you
made this whole thing happen or how this whole situation materialized.
We're going to have the battles of flags on Tuesday.

Speaker 21 (28:35):
Well, we've been pushing for girls like football for the
past three or four years, and a couple of years
ago we started a club and then last year we
put a team together and with coach Danny, we were
having a blast. I mean, it was a great time
playing the girls the competition. I remember when he went
he was up by one last year and we're going
for two, and we didn't even called the timeout. I said, hey,

(28:56):
we're going for two, We're going for the win. I
didn't even talk to my girls. I talked to the
oh right right, And fortunately unfortunately we lost that game
by not making that two point conversion. But you can
feel the relationships the bond. The competition out there was great.
So during the off season, UH put an application in
for the game for the Rams Foundation, see if they

(29:16):
could come out and sponsor us, and we got that
email this past week.

Speaker 14 (29:21):
Wow.

Speaker 21 (29:21):
I told the girls it seemed like it was going
chaos in my classroom and they found out and it's
been a blessing ever since.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Fantastic. I mean, and again, obviously yourself, coach Dan, you
guys are ambassador to the sport. You guys obviously familiar
with football coaching young man, but talk about the enthusiasm
you see with these young ladies and the sport being
so so new to them, but they're just so exciting.
You just see the enthusiasm when they come out and
they in practice obviously at the game as well.

Speaker 21 (29:47):
Oh, it's great. Again, we're, like coach Danny said, we're
developing these girls. And being at a small school, our
girls play multiple sports.

Speaker 14 (29:54):
Right, some of them.

Speaker 21 (29:55):
I mean, like this past week we had a game
against Ontario Christian. My cheerleader intercepted and took it back
for the winning score. And she's cheerleading and playing football
at the same time. So again, I mean, at a
small school, they have to play multiple sports at the
same time. So again they're excited about the schools excited
about it. Yeah, and you can see the support from
our administration and our coaching staff and from all the

(30:15):
sports because they're allowing these girls to play like footballs.
And that's the best part about flag football right now.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
I just about to say because it requires that, because
you know, because that's something you know, I know what
I played. Coaches were very possessive of the players baseball, like, hey,
you don't mess around on at football. You know basketball, Hey,
no playing around with football. But now obviously specifically with
the young ladies, you see a lot more involvement where
you see the volleyball coaches, the soccer coaches, all everybody
kind of kind of like saying, hey, let's let's make

(30:41):
this happen. I talk about how that is on the
administrative level.

Speaker 21 (30:44):
Oh, the administration is very supportive of flight football. When
we put that club together two years ago, they were
like so excited about it. Now with the coaches on
board from other sports, they're supporting the girls flight football
program and we work together to make sure we are
produce a really good product on the field. With that
support out there with the coaches. It's great, good stuff

(31:06):
right there.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
And again it's Fox Sports Radio right here live in
the great city of Riverside at the iHeart Radio Studios.
But now, real quick, Cooch, before we bring your players on,
talk about what to expect there, because again, like I said,
you guys have all the bells and whistles out there.
I mean, I got to get out there once so
I could try to get on the jumbo trying at least,
you know, I mean, maybe I can put my picture
on the corner or something like that. But he said
come on a Tuesday looking at it.

Speaker 13 (31:25):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
I like that. But talk about again just a quantus
number one, having just a great a pull of resources
and then you guys been able to roll that out
for these great young ladies.

Speaker 21 (31:35):
Oh yeah, we're blessed with all the resources we have
at Aquinas and beautiful field, the jumble tron you talked about,
But again we're blessed with the support at a Quintus
High School. And that's the best part about it. Where
wherever we go week ago in San Diego and someone
sees the Quinas the polo, Hey, you've got a quints
High School in sanbard Dino. You know the support there
and that's it a Quinta High School.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Fantastic coach with again, congratulations, keep up the good work.
Can't wait to talk to you or the young ladies
here again real quick. Give everybody a quick psa about
when and where that game is going to be taking place.

Speaker 21 (32:06):
We will be taking place Tuesday night, four forty five
at Quinas High School, United Christian.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
And Battle of the Flags. And one of the things
I like, I got to tell the people this. You
guys were in the same room together. I was looking,
I said, where the other team because you guys are
in there this laugh and everything was good. But again
it just shows again the camaraderie that you guys have.
The support did you guys have, which I think is
this phenomenal?

Speaker 21 (32:28):
Or we're family. We're family, We're competitors on the field,
we're family.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
That's part about it. Fantastic coach, but best of luck.
Can't wait to see you guys on Tuesday. We'll go
ahead and bring your players up. Young ladies, go ahead
and step up to the microphone. Put that microphone up
and introduce yourself to our live radio audience.

Speaker 22 (32:43):
Please, Hello, my name is Mackenzie Baker. I'm a senior
this year and I go to Aquinas High School.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Fantastic Now you're you're playing flag football, But tell our audience,
what are some other sports you guys played? Like your
coach said, most most of you young ladies are multiple
sport athletes. You got to come in from different sections.
But for you, what's your background?

Speaker 22 (33:03):
For me personally, I play softball and also this is
my first year doing cheer, so I thought, since it's
my senior year, I'm going to go all out do
as many sports as I can.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Fantastic. Now flag football has been on fire now. You know,
obviously you know we love cheer, it's traditional. Flag football
now is one of those things that young ladies are
just really really glowing about nowadays. But for you, talk
about the experience. How has it been for you just
playing flag football again, being with some of your teammates obviously,
but it's still new. But the excitement that you have personally,

(33:33):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 22 (33:33):
These past three years of my life playing flag football
have been some years I'll never forget. I've made some
lifelong friends, and not only have I gotten better in
the sport itself, but I feel like the sport has
taught me a lot personally about like just staying committed
and having heart in anything that I do, and just

(33:55):
what it feels like to have a family and a team.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Fantastic, good stuff. Now are you excited again? And are
you guys are going to be on? I talked to
the coach already, so coach has already made a commitment.
You're gonna be Your face is gonna be on the
jumbo trine. Do you have a picture picked out already?
What's the feeling out there? Are you getting pictures done?
I mean, is mom coming in getting you dolled up?
Tell the people what's going off with the jumbo Trump picture?

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Look good?

Speaker 22 (34:17):
Play good, Gotta get some EyeBlack, got it to my
hair nice and ball out, ball out?

Speaker 1 (34:24):
I love you, were best of luck on Tuesday, young lady.
Keep up to good work. Okay, there it is Fox
Sports Radio. We're right here live in studio. We have
United Christian Academy and we have aquinnas as well. Right
here the girls flag football teams for both respective schools.
Young ladies, put that microphone up, introduce yourself to our
live radio audience.

Speaker 14 (34:40):
Please Hi, I'm.

Speaker 18 (34:41):
Riley Gutara's I'm a senior at Aquinas High School.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Okay, fantastic. Now where were you when they said the
La Rams we're gonna be involved with this game? Tell
everybody you know, how where were you? Tell everybody where
you were and how excited you and your teammates were.

Speaker 18 (34:56):
We were actually at break and mister is called a
flag football meeting and over the intercome so we all
we're not even really happy about it because we wanted
our break. But when we all got in the class,
he was kind of serious, so we thought we were
in trouble for something. But then he told us the
news and it was just a lot of excitement all around.

(35:17):
The girls were cheering and we were just excited for
the opportunity.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Fantastic. That's good stuff right there. Now for you personally, again,
flag football is fairly new. But for you personally, how
has it been. How's the season been for you? And
how has it been with this being a new sport
and the excitement you feel playing the sport.

Speaker 15 (35:33):
Flag is great.

Speaker 18 (35:34):
I started my first season last year when we actually
got it started up as a team, and our first
season was kind of rough. We didn't really have much
like information going into it. But this season's definitely better.
We've developed a ton and our teamwork is great. There's
a lot of team chemistry and Coachriz has done a
great job just pulling us together and really teaching us

(35:56):
the game, oh, helping us compete.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
I'm sure Coach Reyes love to hear that. That's good stuff.
Right now, real quick, I'll ask the same thing I
ask your teammate, tell me about the preparation for the
Jumbo Try. I mean, that's what we all want to know.
I mean, do you already have a picture picked out?
Are you going to be doing? Is it gonna be
one of those those those Instagram rules? But the smokes
coming out? I mean, tell everybody what's gonna happen on
Tuesday night, what to expect.

Speaker 14 (36:17):
From from you.

Speaker 18 (36:17):
I'm definitely gonna have to put some thought into that because.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
That's the Jumbo Tron. Now, have you ever been on
a Jumbo trying yet?

Speaker 18 (36:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Okay, okay, so we so so this's gonna be a
little bit. So go ahead telling people who's gonna about
the preparation.

Speaker 18 (36:29):
We're gonna have to go all out. Look good, like
Kenzy said, look good, play good, fantastic.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Well, young lady, best of luck to you, okay, and
congratulations on a great I mean at least playing in
the sport and can't wait to see you out there
on the field on Tuesday. Okay, well, fantastic coach. We're
gonna bring you back up real quick again as Fox
Sports Radio. These young ladies are all going to be
participating in the battle of is it flags and plural
or is it just flag flag flags? Okay, so the
battle of playing with you gotta you gotta you gotta

(36:57):
go get those flags. And again, what a great group.
Obviously again you could just tell the camaraderie between you
and yourself and coach raz but real quick again, I
want to make sure you do it. Do a little
quick psa about about the school and again about the
program please.

Speaker 20 (37:11):
Yeah, well it's United Christian will be going up against
Aquinas here on September twenty third, which is Tuesday, at
four forty five. The Rams will be there, there will
be food there, so come out and you know, just
come out and support. You know, it's something big that
we're trying to make for the girls and trying to
even though they make us play on a Tuesday I
know mondays some odd days to play, but we want

(37:34):
to make the best of it exactly, so we don't
want the girls to feel that we know how we
feel behind closed doors about the days. But our whole
goal is to get the girls the best experience possible
so they can go ahead and leave a stamp and
start preparing the way for the other young ladies. You're going,
you know, because I'm a girl dad, right, you know,
I have four girls, and if this was available for them,

(37:55):
a whole different show. But now that you know, I
had to wish, I wish, I wish I could have yes,
But now it's more of okay, let me propel to
exactly figure out how to take this to a whole
another level.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
And that's what me and fantastic well coach you're doing it.
You guys are doing an amazing job. We're really excited
to have you. And you can tell the excitement from
the young lady. I know you're gonna be going and
getting yourself hooked up for the for the jumbo trum
picture as well. I just probably come as for the girl. No, hey,
but you know it is for the girl. But hey,
like you said, you know, you know we were trying
to get our programs together.

Speaker 20 (38:27):
I always tell the girl say, hey, I didn't get
a chance to do my hair today.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
That's funny, right there, keep it giving that life on.
But again, Fox Sports Radio really happy to have you
guys on again. You guys are doing a phenomenal job.
And again I will definitely do my best to make
it out there to support you guys. But you know,
the the the an unfortunate case I can't, please make
sure you supply for some pictures let us know what's
going on again. Thanks for having us on. No, we'd
love to have you guys on again. And keep up
to good work. Coach. You guys are doing an amazing job. Okay,

(42:04):
to hit the two thousand mark. Do something really really
special again for the Ramona Rams. That's my alma matter,
so I'm really really happy about that. Big shout out
to coach Mashensky, athletic director coach coach Tibbles was there
when I was there. Man, So again, I definitely have
an affection for the Rams family over there. Love that campus.

(42:28):
You know, they're doing a great job with the program.
Coach Mashensky and his host coaching staff are just doing
a phenomenal job. And again coming off a state championship run,
something hasn't happened since. You know, if I'm not mistaken
the last time, because I think we tied for it,
I say we, you know, I was throwing the water
around on the bench, but then we tied for it

(42:50):
in nineteen eighty nine, if I'm not mistaken, that's back
in the day. That's when we had Ryan Robinson, that quarterback,
d Trained Troy and Boys, Chris Finch, Sunny Solo. You know,

playing some They're getting active out there. They have themselves
a schedule. Number four, you have Paloma Valley, Colomba Valley

Elland Empire Top ten volleyball rankings and now we have
the last posted. We're gonna be posting another one on
Sunday tomorrow. Excuse me, we'll be posting another one. But
right now we do have the Inland Empire Top ten rankings.
Four that is right the top ten ranking for the
Inland Empire for flag football. So make sure you stay

(54:05):
tuned for that.

Speaker 5 (54:06):
You're listening to I E.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
Sportsnatch Sports Authority.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
There it is right there again. So we have the
Elane Empire Top ten flag football coming in at number ten.
You have at Iwanda at Lwanda, the Eagles over there
playing I mean traditionally they've had a good they had
a good flag football program last year and this year
they are They're really really good. We had Upland here
in the studio last week and they were looking forward

(54:35):
to competing against Ediwanda, so Edlwanda Eagles are coming in
at number ten and then held them from the Desert.
They always have a great sports practice. Excuse me, a
sports program over there. That's Shadow Hills. Excuse me and
Shadow Hills right now, they're coming in at number nine
and big shout out to for them representing the Desert.

(54:56):
And then at number eight only one loss on the
season at the time of this post. That is none
other than Patriot representing for the western side of Riverside.
And then he had number eight, excuse me, number seven,
it's ko home coming at number seven for the girls.
Top ten Illine Empire rankings. Number seven Cohome's playing really
really good right now. And then number six. There was

(55:17):
a little bit of debate about that. We have Upland
coming in at number six. Upland at the time of
this post was thirteen and three. I mean that tells
you how competitive it is right now the Illin Empire.
That they're coming in at number six with a record
of thirteen to three. But I'm telling you it's real
deal right now. And the IE we have a lot
of great competition. And again we are talking about the

(55:39):
Fox Sports Radio Inland Empire top ten rankings for girls
flag football coming at number five. We had Chino and
we've had Chino in studios. Well Chino really really they
have a dynamic team over there. And you know Chino,
we had the coach and he said, hey, we just
play really good football. So they've they've done phenomenal and

(56:00):
again they're at number five. At number four, you have Beaumont.
Both programs for Beaumont are really really good this year.
You have the boys football program that's really good as
well as the girls flag football and then flag football
is coming in at number four, number three. Wasn't expecting
this for the folks that were looking around going at

(56:20):
who's going to be in the number ten this year.
I'm gonna be in the top ten this year. Didn't
expect to see this, But here it is. You have Rev.
That's right, Rev playing some great, great, great flag football
right now, and they are coming in at number three
and then number two. They you know, look they're competitive.
They went out there and they played in that circuit.

(56:42):
They're playing very very competitive teams playing out there, those
OC teams who are just really really good right now
in terms of flag football. I mean that when you
look at like the teams that are really really good,
most of those teams out of that Orange that Orange
County area generally you know, generally most of them are
private schools, but that OC area has they again, they
kind of had a jump start on flag football. So

(57:03):
those teams out there are really good. But nonetheless, number
two coming out of the Temecula area is Lynfield Christian
at number two, and then number one none other than
Western Christian. That is right. Let me tell you something.
Western Christian, the nice and volleyball and the nice and
flag football coach Chris over there as the head coach

(57:26):
for Western Christian for the flag football team, had them
in for our media day. They are doing spectacular right now.
So that concludes our Fox Sports Radio Inland Empire top
ten flag football rankings. Make sure you guys tune into missure.

(58:32):
Coach Mike is one of the coaches for the Riverside
Rams and they have a huge game today. They're gonna
be taking on Orange Crest, so they said, hey, come
out here. We got a great time. So we're gonna
I'm looking forward to going out there hanging out at

again representing for Junior All American football again. It's Fox

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
