to the sports now, right,So and I just have a blank there
we go tonight, we're gonna talkabout the draft. Now we can talk
about free agency again. It's allabout the callers. But I want to
try to keep free agency over tofree agency, so can I want to

(05:16):
try to talk about the draft asmuch as humanly possible. Okay, So
I just want to throw that outthere for everybody who might call in again.
Six four six six five two fourfour seven nine is the number.
I'm glad I remember my own numberto my own show. We know we

(05:38):
have like seventeen rumors every seventeen seconds. I'm in the NBA right now,
everybody's moving around, all the recenttrades and things that nature. We can
talk about that too a little bit. Here are some of the things I
do want to discuss. So theNBA season is officially over. The Atlanta
Hawks have a very important offseason ahead. Obviously the draft. It's right around

(06:00):
the corner. Now will the Hawksgo after depth? Are they looking for
a possible starter? With free agencyaround the corner after that, you know,
a new head coach, which directionwill they go? So we do
have a lot of questions that haveto be asked an answer over the next
couple of weeks. Right, we'regoing to discuss prospects that the Hawks will
most likely have a chance to draft, and maybe some choices we'd love to

(06:20):
have anymore I got video. Bythe way, We will also talk about
pending free agency a little bit,but not a lot if we can help
it needs and wants. We're wantto talk about the current roster obviously,
we will do that tonight. Okay. The Hawks have a huge step to
make for twenty twenty three though,So who do you want the Hawks to
draft? Are you excited about twentytwenty three? Again? Tune in watch

(06:43):
we can listen call into the showsix four six six five two four four
seven nine. You can comment usingthe messenger if you're on the IMT and
Worldwide Radio YouTube page, which makesure you subscribe. Please help help without
I know we weren't doing a lotof YouTube back in the day when we
first started. Everything was early radio. You were listening on iHeartRadio or Spotify
or Amazon Music or Apple Podcasts orwherever you were listening. But since we

(07:08):
did decide to start streaming, helpus out a little bit. Just support
share the show every now and againnow to help us out a lot.
Now, some of the things thatwe're going to review, how will free
agency potentially is affect the draft?Okay, if no moves on the roster
at all were made could the hostscompete with the whole new staff on the
coaching side, offensive philosophy is goingto be different. Concentration on defense.

(07:32):
Bosses series kind of says maybe younever know. With a few tweaks here
and there, right line up rotations, you know, could that get them
out of the plan and into thetop five are higher though? Right,
So that's something else that we're goingto discuss. I see a few people
watching, so I appreciate that.Let me check make sure we don't have
any callers yet, not just yet. I know there's some people around the

(07:55):
country that are listening again from acouple of different cities and time zones.
I do appreciate you all time, you know, kind of helping me out
and joining me so I can said, how will potential free agency affect the
draft if no moves are made?Could the team compete again? The Boston
series says, maybe we know whathappened in that series, probably should have
wanted to Actually, right again,we're gonna talk about the current roster,

(08:16):
and that's actually what we're gonna talkabout right now this second, because some
people don't know who's on the roster. Still, there's a lot actually Um,
of course you got mister Trey Yarn, you got Murray, you have
Hunter John Clint big Os on theteam, jj aj bogis a deep Bay,

(08:37):
Aaron Holiday, Tyres Martin, who, by the way, with the
Skyhawks average eighteen and eight. Justthrow that out there, just randomly,
Bruno, Garrison, Matthews, vitTrent Forrest, and Donovan Williams. Now,
that's a lot of people. Nowwe know that the NBA had kind
of maneuvered and kind of made aderail. You can have a few more

(08:58):
people on your roster or whatever faras sitting and playing and things of that
nature. So that's why I wouldhave a few more people than probably usual
on the roster. But at theend of the day, who may or
may not be there on the roster? Just who might Just see how can
I phrase this? Who do youthink our borderline as far as even being
able to stay from right now tothe beginning of the next season. I

(09:22):
fell out my own list right now, real quick. Holiday probably not.
Yes, I know he had acareer year from three, but as a
point guard, you still need someoneto be able to run the offense.
And one thing I do want tokind of mention in regards to that.
You know, I think I hada note about it somewhere, A backup

(09:46):
point guard one. Yes, Iknow we were staggering Trade and Murray,
you know, trays on the bench, Murray's in the game, Murray's on
the bench, trays in the game. But did that really work? Okay?
And you know part of that was, you know, we didn't really
have an offense. You know, everybody's standing. You know, if anybody's

(10:09):
watched around the atl over the lastcouple of months, you know, me
got three people standing behind the threepoint line, you got Clint standing under
the basket, and then you gotTrade at the top of the key.
And that was supposed to be offense. Nobody's cut, nobody's moving, nobody's
doing nothing, just standing around. So if that was to change, yeah,
let's maybe keep going with the staggerMaybe, but what about injuries.

(10:31):
If Trey is hurt and Murray isthe point, Murray comes off the court,
who's coming in? Right, andthe same thing vice versa. If
Murray's hurt, Trey has to goon the bench, who's coming in.
Eventually, you gotta get a actualbackup point guard. At a certain point,
it just has to happen. Alsoon the defensive side, as far

(10:52):
as the backup point, you know, you need that other the Hawk scoring
one hundred and eighteen points a game, they gave up one hundred and eighteen
points the game. You know whatour record was there, you go.
So at a certain point, wehave to stop somebody. Now part of
that is again personal player inside ofyou. You've got to have some pride

(11:13):
and stop somebody. And the otherpart of this the coaching staff directing and
teaching and reteaching and reteaching and demandingand penalizing. Right, but at the
point guard position, on the backupside of the ball, we need to
be able to have it to wherewe can the gate getting really all of
our positions, the gate getting beatoff, the dribble, giving up layouts.

(11:35):
We were a layoup line. Ournumbers showed it. Points in the
paint showed it, second chance pointsshowed it. Right, we need to
be able to in the gate screens. We need to be able to rotate
crisply, you know, picking rolls, rotating from one end of the floor
to the other. That's just onthe point guard side. As far as
a small four, we need depthright, right, now, currently we

(11:56):
have Hunter and Bay on the technicalside. I guess you could throw maybe
Aj in there if if he hadto wanted to. We need some depth
on the defensive side of the ball, y'all know how I feel when you're
a small for that at the endof the day, has to be responsible
for stopping. Somebody has to beand it has to be natural. Okay,

(12:18):
Yes, again, coaching could getthe players in line, but again
you still have to have some kindof pride and say I'm not going to
let this guy drop forty on ourteam. Right and right now, the
primary wing that is supposed to bedoing that hasn't really shown that that's possible
up till now. It's been fouryears, right, and the numbers show
it, you know, not inthe top fifteen in any defensive category.

(12:41):
You know, that's a big deal. When he was drafted as national player,
defensive player of the Year, wona national championship primarily as a defensive
player, and it just really hasn'ttranslated out. I mean, getting getting
beat out on on the block alot of times, you know, not
blocking out, not knowing your manis and or just letting Rod didn't just

(13:01):
lay the ball up in that Bostonseries a couple of a whole bunch of
times and everybody Tatum, didn't matterwho it was brown, Right. We
had to be able to fight throughscreens. That's a small forward. That's
a priority, right, blocking shots, getting stilled, those things they come
into play, they really do.Haven't seen anybody and puts a comment,

(13:22):
just checking real quick. I'm justgoing over as some positions right now now
censor. Oh, by the way, AJ has shown some signs that he
could do that, especially on steals. He's a great on ball defender,
and with more minutes, I thinkhe can do even more. Now.
The center position, we need deathagain. If Bruno doesn't happen to be
here anymore, you need a centerthat place post defense, or you have

(13:45):
to get somebody who can come upon the perimeter. If there is a
screen set, You're not just gonnasit down here, You're gonna come up.
Somebody else has to take the responsibilityof picking up man. On my
Sunday Night basketball video the other night, I talked about some of the fundamental
and I had to come up onsomebody otherwise he's gonna have a wide open
jumper. I had to trust thatsomebody's gonna pick up my man so that

(14:07):
way they don't just pass the ballto him and have a layup. Because
I can't play two people, right, we gotta be able to have a
center to be able to want tocome up. But we also have to
have the defense acumen to make upfor that lost player right there, right,
But anyway, that's whole another story. Somebody who can block shots,
block shots, change shots. Weneed somebody who can get two, three,

(14:30):
four blocks a game, or atleast five or six almost blocks a
game, which usually means they're gonnaget two or three blocks a game.
Okay, my throat's going right there, So we need center who'll be able
to do that. Again, Idon't know what we're gonna do with Bruno
yet. I'm go see and sowith that being said, I'm gonna stop
right here. That's why I saidbetween Holiday, Trent, Bruno, Donovan

(14:52):
on the bubbles, Garrison Matthew's notreally sure what they're gonna do with him
yet. That's like five players, right, There were five players that probably
won't make the roster because I thinkthere will be options to replace that group
of players to accentuate the team thatwe do have left after that to make

(15:13):
us better, whether it be freeagents, whether it be draft whatever.
Okay, now that being said, let me get on the offensive side of
the ball a little bit. Okay, Now, let me make sure I
can find there we are so onthe offensive side, as far as a
possible backup point guard, got tobe able to not just to the jumper,

(15:33):
will be able to drive kick, drive kick right to an open player,
or be able to finish or beable to draw foul. Okay,
we really didn't shoot a lot offree throws this year as a team did
with right. As far as abackup point guard, they need to be
able to shoot at least forty eightpercent mid range somewhere in there at least

(15:54):
thirty six from three of that askedthem too much, I don't know right
now. As far as small forit goes on, offense needs to be
able to handle the ball without turningand get over am I clear. Has
to be consistent on scoring no matterwhat the average is. Whatever that average
is, me to be able tohit that average every single game, a

(16:14):
two games a season period. Okay. Has to be able to pass the
ball at least three or five assistthe night. Does that asking too much?
Is that asking too much to bean extra distributor? Now again,
we were a little bit confined withthe non offense that we had, but
still you gotta at least look topass the ball sometimes especially and again it's
a self awareness. If you're nothitting those shots, you need to see

(16:37):
what else you can do to helpthe team win the game. Right again,
free throws matter on a small forwardside. We need to see what
we can get another player that could, you know, draw some free throws,
hit some hits some free throws.Right now, as far as the
center on offense, one can't misslay ups, can't miss tiffins, can't
miss laws. You gotta be ableto shoot eight percent from zero to five.

(17:00):
I feed in period. That's it. I mean, it's just the
principle of it all. Chippy's map. I'm gonna give you an example.
Do y'all remember that Brooklyn game lastDecember? Any of you okay? And
if you watched around the ATL youknow I almost did a borderline whole show
on that game with video and everything, so that that particular game may be
very upset. Go watch it onI MT of Worldwide radio on YouTube.

(17:23):
Go check it out. Make surey'all subscribe. Oh you know what,
I just forgot something. I wassupposed to be doing this right here,
and I've just now noticed it.Give me a second, and again,
I don't know if my co hostis going to come onto the show tonight.
He usually helps me out a littlebit. There you go, and

(17:44):
she called into the show six foursix six two four seven nine if you
want to call it to the show. So if you remember the New Jersey
of New Jersey Brooklyn Net game, that particular game, we lost that game
by four points, right, Okay, John was out if you remember,
John was hurt. Um really hada couple of injuries that particular game.

(18:07):
A whole bunch of stuff happening inthat part of the leads in December.
But we lost that game by fourpoints. Now, I'm gonna just say
it. Clint had three point blankshots that he missed, two four six
possible points that should have been suresure fire points, a race off the

(18:30):
face of the yearth We lost thatgame by four points. The Hospital lost
a lot of games within being inwithin five points or less than a game.
We lost on those twenty games thisyear like that, and I don't
even want to get into the Welost ten we lost, actually we lost
thirteen games after having a ten pointor more leads. Okay, so just

(18:56):
on the center, physician, whoever, whoever, the like Again we end
up from the center that particular firstthat needs to be always finish in the
paint, okay, always, Now, it would help if they could also
score in the post with actual postmoves, which do exist in the NBA.
We saw that right up and under, back to the basket, pump,

(19:18):
fake drive to the basket facing theall that along with catching the lobs
lots are cool, right, Alsoa center that will be able to hit
a mid range jumper that is notasking a lot. We got plenty of
three point shooters. They don't needto actually hit that three maybe occasionally cool,
but they gotta be able to hita ten footer, fifteen foot or

(19:40):
twelve foot or somewhere in there, right to keep a team honest, because
otherwise you're always playing four and five. You can't play four and five in
the NBA especially, we were givingup one hundred and eighteen points a game.
If you want to go back andwatch some of the shows where I
point some of these things out invery good detail. Go back watch some

(20:00):
of the past shows on Around theATL especially go Around the ATL Side and
those episodes. Check those out.So again six verse six, six,
five, two, four, fourseven nine. If you're gonna call into
the show and lend your opinion sofar in regards to just that current roster
makeup, as far as who maybe returning, who may not be returning,
Who do you think would help themost, especially on the bench side

(20:23):
of things, depending on because again, as much as we look here,
let me let me play it again, we still might not get nothing happening.
You never know, I mean,it's possible, right, So it's
something to consider as far as youknow. Again, we remember we have

(20:45):
a whole new coaching staff. Ofthe whole coaching staff top to bottom has
been retooled, right, and sothere's concentrations now on the development side teaching
side. Again, if you've seenany of my shows ready in my post,
you know how important that is tome. You can't assume that because
the person did this here, thatthey're going to be able to do it

(21:07):
over here, or they will actuallydo better over here if they're not showing
that actually speak loud in words, well, you're gonna just let them just
kind of just keep being sorry. That doesn't make any sense where you're trying
to win, because because it isn'tthat isn't that the point? I think
that's the point. I don't know. I think let me, let's let's
try and coach herm real quick.Hello, thanks for coaching HERM. So

(21:41):
again, if the goals to winthe game, I think it's important for
us to be able to have itto where you don't just assume things and
you just don't let things just goand just say, well, I can't
do nothing about it. Even thoughI'm in control of everything, I can't.
I can't do anything. That's anexcuse. It's it's a forgeki okay,

(22:02):
and it and it tears up theteam? Is it tears up your
team? So that's just a littlebit as far as the current roster.
So let's get into the next umsubject here, the draft. Okay,
So the halls, half, thefifteenth, and the forty six pick as
of right now this moment, right, So, what I've done now,

(22:22):
I got some of these wrong aftergoing through this, and initially I didn't
even have time to get like numbersfrom their college days. And then I
was like, We'll wait a minute. Giving the numbers from college aren't isn't
going to be that important? Becauseyeah know what is who college numbers really
mean? Right? Because you knowwhen Michael Jordan he was in college and
he was scoring seventeen a game, did you really think he was going to

(22:45):
translate thirty point a game score forhis career? I don't know, maybe
something did, but you know, the host drafted Sheldon Williams and he was
averaging thirteen to nine in college. Is one of the best college players ever,
and he averaged four points and fourbore for US for his career.
So sometimes you know, those statsin college can you know, kind of

(23:07):
be skewered a little bit. Butnevertheless, we have some picks, and
what I've done is I kind ofwent into a little bit of an order
in regards to some of these picks, and actually I kind of broke it
down in regards to position. SoI'm gonna go through point guard, I'm
gonna go through shooting guard, I'mgonna go through forwards, and I'm gonna
go through a couple of centers.I think I picked about twelve. So

(23:30):
I'm gonna play. Let's see ifI can do this how I have it
planned in my head. I'm goingto go over these players and again,
y'all can call in six four sixsix five two four four seven nine.
You can comment in the comments section. Just let me know your thoughts whether
or not their potential addition to theteam, or we just need to skip
over them, Like I said, some of a couple of these I found

(23:51):
out I kind of got in thewrong order as far as whether or not
they be in the first and secondround. Didn't find out out until literally
twenty minutes ago. Didn't have timeto change it. All right, can't
help it. I've been busy's beensick, oh nine, So I apologize
in advance. So who's gonna bethe first person we're gonna talk about.
We're gonna talk about Nick Smith Juniorfrom Arkansas as a point guard. So

(24:14):
let's go ahead and play a littlebit of his film. I'm not gonna
play but maybe thirty seconds at themost, maybe forty seconds. We'll see
how it works. But let's gocheck him out a little bit and see
what he gots going on. Andhere we go, Millard card by Davis.
Is it get a trapping man card? Six Smiths with the steel in

(24:37):
the champ on a trap but shotdeef relationships as if a raw field goal
of Jap stolen away Nick Smith juniorDavis the layup and if you haven't already
played together shot like is late herefor Steelers except one and why hy Nick?

(25:02):
But also the st journal Smith willtake him soon. Smith put it
on the floor and goes Reeves shot. So that was a that was some

(25:33):
fooge of Nick Smith's. So let'ssee what they stay on valleys. Oh,
by the way, I need todo this real quick because otherwise I
will forget this as well. Iwant to go ahead and shout out the
following. Let's see basketball highlights nextones on YouTube, Intuition, you Hoops

(25:55):
on YouTube, game O Money onYouTube, League Him on YouTube, and
March Madness on YouTube for these highlights. Appreciate that. Let's go ahead and
talk about Nick Smith Junior a littlebit now, six five hundred eighty five
pounds, give or take, nineteenyears old, twelve points a game.

(26:17):
Now his college game didn't really reflectthen he passed the ball a lot.
He averaged one point seven a sixthper game one point six rebounds per game
in college at Arkansas in the SEC. So again, whether or not you
can take that and say, okay, well, how that translate will be
bad or good. Here's what theysay on the Valley's page in regards to

(26:37):
his strength, strengths and weaknesses.Scoring, natural bucketgether exhaled, attacking the
basket. We saw some of thatball handling. Tight handle allows him to
slash off ball mouvement. He canwork his way open by cutting to the
who guess what if we have emotionoffice, that'll be great, But you
can't really have off the ball movementif nobody else is moving but an passing.

(27:00):
He has some court vision to functionas a playmaker and can make the
flashy dog link six eight wingspan. We saw that defensive image he protects.
He projects to be a strong allball defender. We saw that in some
of those clips. Weaknesses strengths.Yeah, one hundred eighty five pounds,
that's light, right. Then'll needtime to develop. Three point shooting thirty

(27:21):
three percent. He was shooting fourtimes a game. Has to improve on
that. So that's just a littlebit about Nick. Now, would he
be a possible, you know,as a as a possible backup on a
team that really again, I'm lookingat it from almost more so the defensive
end, more so than the offensiveend, as I mentioned earlier, because

(27:41):
our team gave up as many pointsas we scored. You can't win a
lot of games when you're scoring onehundred and eighteen and giving up one hundred
and eighteen points every dogs of allgame. We did it the year before
that too. Okay, So whenyou're talking about the whole verbiage of mediocrity,
that's where that comes in that andthere was no concentration on it,
and the previous coach Eve instead doesn'treally matter to him, actions said that

(28:04):
too, right, It doesn't matterif we blow leads. He said,
that doesn't matter if we you know, just keep blowing these leaves. But
anyway, so Nick Smith, Ithink could be impossible again with the wingspan.
Again, you're talking about skills,We're talking about block shots, We're
talking about that on the ball defense, we're talking about shifty feet. You
know, one of the main reasonswe would lose leads over the season.

(28:26):
Again, go to the I Mteam. Let's let's switch this over real
quick. Because I want y'all tohopefully watch some of the past shows.
Let's see where is it? Andoh wow, did I lose it?
Oh I didn't scroll? My faultthere it is. Subscribe y'all to the

(28:47):
YouTube page IMP and Worldwide Radio ifyou watch any of my past episodes.
One of the main reasons we wouldblow ten to fifteen point leads all.
You gotta just look at points inthe paint, second chance points and get
back on defense. And besides that, locking out and over freaking helping.

(29:07):
Now again, a lot of thatis stuff that you could be trained to
not do anymore, and we justweren't. It was just assumed though everybody
knows what they're supposed to do.No, we couldn't even play his own
defense. It was so embarrassing toknow that we can't do his own defense.
It's terrible. Okay, so NickSmith can be a check mark on

(29:29):
a few of those things. Okay, locking out that arm that that wingspan
helps when he rebound. Take itfrom me. I'm the rebounder on my
team every time I play. Youknow, I don't gotta jump a lot.
I'm I'm overall, y'all, I'mgetting his boss right. That wingspan
in regards to passing lanes can helpout a lot. And again he has

(29:49):
the acumen you saw that one liepass he can he can make again as
a backup, as a true backup. And him getting I don't know,
fifteen seventeen in at the night couldreally help out that thing. So that's
that's clair of one. That's thefirst. That's the first point guard.
Let's talk about the second point guardon my list here, um miss see,

(30:11):
I will be Cason Wallace, Kentuckypoint guard, and let's take a
look at some of his him ifI can find it, give me a
second. I said, I'm I'mdoing well to get here tonight, y'all.
I appreciate y'all's patience. Somebody thirteenoffensive rebounds for the cat check like
a three two walls. Part ofwhat Kitty Pa said even yesterday. We

(30:37):
give up these runs and then wedon't answer. Wallace out into the page.
Let's get short Wallace the rebounds andthey firing, and it's been off
the front iron scrum diving for thehoofs. Wallers Kentucky get out, Frederick

(30:57):
out the three got us College Smith. He'sa Wallas pull up from the freak
the offensive, bring burn and takeit away by Walls. They're just talking
about over the shoulders, shot bakedWallers with a kick, reads with a

(31:19):
creak on the shot clock. Wallsplay city natives, make warsh were here,
goes to New York and are leadingthe difference the first board games that
conference place. The last day wallst there due it just got off at

(31:41):
the horn. Oh, I believethe shoes helping inner Walls who freshman.
So hopefully that's enough footage for misterWallace there. So before I even get

(32:06):
to the description that's listed that Ihave, defense wins championships, did you
see his on the ball? Defense? Right? Like, that's something that
we don't. We weren't. Wedon't have we weren't. It was not
stressed, it was not the pointof emphasis. And a school. And

(32:29):
here's where the culture part comes inKentucky. You gotta play defense, right,
defense, it's you've got to playit. It doesn't for all these
generations. One thing that you knowis those guys are gonna play some defense.
He's a point guard playing defense,But on top of that, he
takes his defense and then becomes aplaymaker on top of that. Okay,

(32:52):
So again it's one of those dealswhere we need that more so than scoring
because we got the scoring. Thescoring has never been in an issue five
years. Scoring has never been anissue for the Hawks. It's been stopping
people again. I'm gonna sit onmy up. Was it the soapbox?
The first two years of Trey Young'scareer, we should have made the playoffs?
So we had played a look ofdefense. We've been making the playoffs

(33:15):
all the way through. But anyway, so let's talk about make sure I
don't get these confused aerials casing. So one of the things from the Big
Board by Kevin O'Connor mentions is thathe's a game changing point of attack defender
who also fills gaps on offense asa playmaker and shooter. I just said
that. I didn't even read thatpart. So some of his plus is

(33:37):
now again. He's an instinctual offball defender who can make highlight reel chase
down blocks and interceptions and passing lanes. My goodness, that right there can
change the whole outlook of a basketballgame right there now. At Kentucky,
he averaged eleven points thirty four percentfrom three fours two stills. Yeah,

(34:00):
that's somebody that I would not mindbeing in Atlanta. Hawk for sure.
As a soft touch from all overthe floor. He's comfortable using floaters and
runners. Let's see what else? What else? What else? He haunds
a opponents with his link, toughnessand fundamentals on the ball. He stays
seated in a low stance with arms. Why did you see that last play?

(34:21):
That guy was kept on trying toget around him, and he would
not leave, He would not jump, he would not go for no face,
You're not scoring on me. See, that's why I'll be talking about
you. Gotta have part of ithas to be you to say you're not
going to score on me, okay, and if you were scoring on me,
you're not gonna score anymore. Ihave to be in you a little
bit. And then the other partis just the coaching of the fundamentals and

(34:45):
basics of not doing stupid stuff.Okay, what else about mister Wallace?
I want? Oh, here's okay. So some of the minuses. Unproven
shooter off the dribble, especially frombehind the art. Now we know there
has been you know, like withMurray, he's a better one. Type
of shooter than this type of shooter. The offense kind of hurt him in

(35:08):
regardless to that, because technically he'snot a three point shooter. But if
we have him out there shooting threeis the lord anyway, he's more comfortable
from mid range. Why not setup the offense to cater to the strengths
of the players on your team, because that's what other teams do that win.
But again, they'll watch some ofmy other episodes. I want to

(35:29):
get into that too. Z backto mister Wallace on the Minusters. Considering
his lack of versts off the dribble, of his lack of elite handle,
he might not have the go toscoring upside that some teams are in a
top pick. Now, again,if somebody is trying to get him as
the guy on that on the teamon the point guard side, that could

(35:49):
be valid. But if he's abackup on the team, the gate that
we would we could use somebody justvisually like that. I think some of
you would agree with that. Sothat mister Wallace, that's that's the other
point guard I wanted to talk aboutagain. The number is six my throat
six four six six five two fourfour seven nine is the number. Thanks
for those who have been patient andhelping me get through this evening. What's

(36:14):
all the stuff going on? Asyou've heard on the beginning of the show.
So who is the next player thatI want to talk about? In
this case, it's a shooting guard? Okay? Now do the Hawks need
another shooting guard or not? Now? Some of that is going to be
based off of moves possibly made rightwhich right now is that as far as

(36:37):
I'm concerned, it's up in theair. But like I said, I
wanted to try to hit all thepositions just as a you know, a
generalization of what the Hawks could andcouldn't do or would or won't do type
of a deal. So the firstshooting guard I want to talk about,
it's Kobe Jones out of Xavier.Okay, and let's see if I can

(36:59):
find his is footage and we'll takea look at see what cold me be
doing. A second and there wego. Don't use the freemample screen,
it's small front. Last time theMusketeers letter was too nothing Jones as a
patient sealed off by nothing by Jonescan kind of laying off season right here?

(37:45):
Why did the good guys, haven'tput a flip to the rim.
That's nice rolling it down seven shotpocket seven jo stop the screen fremats open

(38:07):
for three. All right, Soenough about Kobe. So one thing I
will notice, God notice is hiswillingness to pass. You know, sometimes

(38:28):
you're not open, Okay, sometimessomebody else is more open than you.
Are. You willing to make thatextra pass? Um, that baseball pass
is important. Um. The othernight, Sunday night, when I was
playing ball, Um, I canget the exact play, but I think
Um, I was going into thepost, I got the ball, I

(38:50):
passed it back out. Another passgot opened over here in the corner,
wide open shot. You know, just passing the ball has to be mandatory
to you. Again, remember themovie Who's Your Oh? You know what?
I haven't played that in the wallsince I haven't done the show in
a while. Let's see if Ican find that real quick to y'all.
Just just so y'all know how seriousI am about this. Um, there

(39:10):
it is. How many times you'regonna pare? How many are four times?
Basketball? If we had a motionoffense, we would be almost unstoppable
as a team, as a Hawksteam, But we didn't. We didn't.
We just weren't gonna do. Thatwas at Houston Rocket game. Y'all

(39:31):
remember that game? Oh boy?Anyway, But for Kobe, besides that,
he looks pretty fluid in his shot. Um, it's pretty active in
things of that nature. Now.The one thing about the reason I hesitated
about the shooting guard position also isbecause I still kind of want to give
Tarisa shot, you know what I'msaying, as as a as a backup.

(39:52):
Um. Again, at College Parkhe was he was getting eighteen and
eight a night, eighteen points eightrebounds a night. So you do you
not have him on the roster andactually draft the shooting guard. I wouldn't
say so, but again, I'mgonna go through three more, well two
more shooting guards after mister Kobe.So let's talk about Kobe on paper a

(40:12):
little bit. Let's see I canfind his info. Um at Xavier,
he gave them fifteen points five reboundsor almost six rebounds forced this one point
three stills a game on fifty percentshooting thirty seven percent from three. Okay,
Um, he three he went threeseasons there. He's six foot five
right at two hundred pounds. Sohis strengths, um per Let's see this

(40:37):
is gamehows, UM game the gamehawsdot Com shout out to them. So
his strengths would be he's versatile, able to play both on the ball and
off the ball. Well, Um, he could run the offense a little
bit, they said, but that'snot his primary. He could when he
had to, UM making plays forothers. It's something that he improved in

(41:00):
college over his three years there. And so you can see that pick and
roll he'd be he'd be great forthat. Um. He improved his three
point shot, as you just heardthe numbers I just said as well.
UM weaknesses, UM improving his threehis free throw shooting, he's sixty five,
is ten on free throws. Butas a as a guard, that
definitely can get better as a help. Um he improved his three point shooting,

(41:24):
as I said, but that didn'ttranslate to the free throw line for
whatever reason. Um. Even thoughhe has good body control, he's not
an elite athlete, they say, never know how that works out in basketball.
Right, Um, he says hecould have trouble blowing by defenders,
although he had a couple of finmoves on that clip right that you saw

(41:44):
um the ability to guard a fewdifferent positions, but he can improve on
his defense. So again, ifit's me and I'm looking at more on
the defensive five, this probably wouldn'tbe a pick I would go with as
hard as as that goes. Butas a shooting guard, yeah he could.
He could do pretty good. Who'snext, Jalen Hood Chaffino? How

(42:05):
the Indiana shooting guard. So let'stake a look and see what he brings
to the table. Let me seeif I can find mister Jalen real quick
for y'all. Second, here wego, Oh great o, here we
go in Americans put Jaffino clear house. Hell word. So that that was

(43:42):
some pretty impressive footage. One youcan pass, Two, he can get
to the basket. Three he hasa jumper, and he has touch.
If he drives into a lane,he wants to throw the float or whatnot.
So he's very versatile on the offensiveside. But then also he saw
the blocks. Okay, again, defense wins championships, right and you know

(44:05):
at his side, and I'm justgiving the observation before I get into the
read um, he looks like hecan rebound a little bit too, just
saying right now, I just sawsomeone call in. Let me see if
I can bring in this caller realquick. Good even caller, go ahead
and tell us your name and whereyou're calling from. Yes, sir,
this is John John Harrison, UnionCity There. What's going on, John?

(44:31):
How are you doing tonight, sir? Oh Man? Doing pretty good?
Like I told you, I wason the road. I said I
was gonna pull it over, andthat's what I did. I finally got
a spot where I can pull itover to get some bars on the phone.
You know, I'm already up againstit. I'm I come up in
the Tennessee Mountains and then I gotT mobile. Two strikes already. I

(44:55):
was gonna say, see, youknow I used to sell cell phone,
So he said tmobile. I waslike, oh um, yeah, yeah,
man, I appreciate you calling in. For a few minutes, I
was in showing the highlights of JalenBoodh Shasino from Indiana to shooting guard.
I'm going through um different levels asfar as potential players the Hawks might look

(45:17):
at, as far as the fifteenthand forty six six. So I just
finished showing the footage of Jalen.I was about to go through his description.
Do you have any initial thoughts sinceI got you on the line as
far as where the Hawks might goas far as position, And do you
know any players? I don't.I don't know how much of the college
game you've looked at or even lookedat some of these prospects. But is

(45:38):
there anybody on your radar that you'velooked at? I might have them,
I might have them pulled up.In my opinion, after looking at how
the finals turned out, I gotto have two big knees. I mean,
you know, I got to havetwo big men because I'm looking at

(46:04):
what happened with Boston and I'm lookingat what happened with Miami. When the
shooting stops. When when the shootingstops, you know, it's an age,
old adage. Corene did it,Tim Duncan did it. I would
say the Lopez and Giannis and Portisdid it. When the shooting starts going

(46:30):
off, you got to have somebodyto pound it down inside or have someone
to feed those shooters so that youknow, you know, once the double
team comes to the center, feedit out there to the shooter. Whether
it's at the three point line ortwo point line. You know, it's
old, okay, because everybody hasgone to this stretched full stretch five,

(46:54):
stretch three, stretched two situations anda good old fashioned center just dominated every
fact on the floor in the final. Okay, you know it's it's uh
back to the future. Really thatthat's what That's what that showed me is

(47:15):
back to the future. Now,I'm gonna tell you christ I'm gonna tell
you something. I would keep myteam as it is, with all of
its filbles, all of its shortcomingsthat the people in the positions have,
and go get me two big menand see what we can do. And

(47:37):
I have I have this feeling thatwe would be able to at least go
fourth and fifth seed at the veryleast in the playoffs. You know,
we were definitely look way better thanwhat we look this year because see the
same thing that they sell us,if they sell Boston and if they sell

(47:59):
Miami, when the shots go cold, you have nothing else, you know,
you didn't didn't have anybody to pileit down inside when the shots go
cold, and everybody was going coldat the same time on both teams.
You know, eight we almost putMiami out because Miami was ice cold.

(48:19):
Now, if they hadn't one thesecond play in Miami wouldn't have even been
there now because a testament to themthat they made it, the testament to
them that they made it to thefinals. Uh what was it living out
of twelve times? Something? Itwas something that they had. Miami is
always there. It might can't finishthe deal, but they're always there.

(48:40):
Okay, fine, good. Butthe other point where you get tired of
just coming to the dance and notdancing with the best girl, not winning
any prizes, not going old withanything, you know, the show,
and to kind of, you know, build off that a little bit.
And one of the things I saidthroughout the whole season and the year before

(49:00):
that is at a certain point,if the shot ain't dog go on going
in, you gotta do something different. You can't let somebody go over ten
from three. But I love ofGod, he just shot at three.
Yeah, you can't do it.Certain point you gotta go down and be
like step in and or you knowwhat, you can set a screen and

(49:21):
or you know what, we coulddo a picking roll or picking pop.
Let somebody else do something rather thanjust keep shooting these oblong shots because guess
what, a shirt too is betterthan an oblong three every single time,
and we see it, but it'slike, well you just don't believe it.
So yeah, I definitely can't agreewith you. Now, let me
ask you this before I go intojailing a little bit, because I do

(49:42):
want to continue going through some ofthese players. You are you talking about
getting a center from the draft ora center for your free agency? Either
way? Either way? Now,the thing is is that free agency the
names that I keep hearing, youjust about have to tear your team up

(50:05):
in order to get something that youwant out of free agency. I mean,
okay, everybody was talking about eating, everybody was talking about port zingis
various people. Okay, you justabout got to destroy your team that you
have already and get this person.Okay, all right. They might want

(50:28):
a first round Okay, they mightwant one of your first round draft fixed
and a player a Murray A JohnCollins, you know something of that nature,
now, Okay, John Collins,And you pointed this out many many
times. The man in order forthe manager advised, the man has got

(50:50):
to be seed. You've got tofeed the man. Okay, you can't
let that manages language over there inthe corner the language up under the basket.
You never passed in the all,you know, because I know that
he has a good turnaround game.He has a good turnaround shot. Okay,
now, how is he gonna bebetter at that unless you feed him?
Okay? How is your team goingto get better unless you feed him?

(51:15):
Coach? What are you telling yourplayers about seeing a man opening?
All right? This man get arebound? You know it's it's just like
you know when you do your Sundaynight basketball synopsisis all right, you don't
work like a Hebrew slaves to getrebounds. Another I'm like the second oldest

(51:39):
player on the court at this point. I'm like, you know, I'm
in my late forties and everything. If I'm in the post banging and killing
people and and and then yeah,I don't get the ball, and I'm
like, it doesn't matter if Iif I don't get the ball, if
I do get the ball and Idon't try to score, I'm trying to
get the ball to get position tohelp somebody else possible score. But if

(52:00):
I do have an advantage, yes, I'm gonna make a move. I'm
gonna hear a baby's book or aturnaround jumper or whatever that nobody can block
or whatever. But and this isthough, it's like if you don't actually
do that, you know what you'redoing, You're just shooting from the outside
and you can't do that. Andwe got a scoreboard and cheerleaders and everything,
like what are y'all doing out here? So yeah, yeah, yeah.

(52:22):
And the thing is, you know, I because I think I told
you about this once before, whenJordan was on UM, I used to
go to run and shoot and playand playing with the young folks. Okay,
this is this is when this wasbefore stealth carriage. This is when
the three point line first came out. You know, it was early.

(52:42):
You had a few people who couldshoot three pointers in the league, and
you know it was a Cooper's orthe Currig Hodges of various people like that.
But you had the youngness trying toshoot threes. Okay, Finn,
Now I've gotten the rebound for you. I got an alleyway for you to
come straight to the basket, gotmy man pit on my back. I
pass you the ball instead of youdriving to the basket. You back up,

(53:08):
Yeah, and natch one of themfor them who sing scuds that you
know, they trapped it at theairport. They don't know where it's going.
They just know something up there inthe air all right. Now,
after about four those oh I'm notpassing ball, you know more? A
man you call? I was over? Yeah I did. You're absolutely right,
I did see you over. Well, why are you passing? You

(53:30):
ain't here a shot all night?Bro? Hit up here a shot and
again and again. That's where theself awareness comes into play, right John,
Again, If you're not self aware, someone else, someone else has
to take control. In this case, that has to be the coach,
you know, and that wasn't reallyhappening. Now give me a second,

(53:51):
because I do want to go throughJalen's profile real quick um sixty four,
two hundred and sixteen pounds thirteen pointsum at Indianda that he scored a game
four rebounds a game almost four assith the game. Some of his h
the goods, playmaking, he operatesat his own pace, pick and roll.
He's really good at that mid rangejumper. He's pufficient knockdown shots from

(54:15):
eighteen feet and end his size. He's very physical on both ends or the
floor six ten wing span. That'swhere you saw those blocks in that segment
that I showed y'all a little bitago. He's blocking all these shots and
everything. His weakness is not alot three point shooting three three percent that
can get better. Struggles at therim caused him to shoot only forty four

(54:37):
percent inside the art, so hehas to get better at finishing. So
I think, though, again onthe just the defensive end. Like I
said, I'm leaning towards making theteam better defensively because again, the team
store one hundred and eighteen points agame. They gave up one hundred and
eighteen points a game. Nobody winslike that, and the Hawks just proved
that you could be a possible prospectto kind of look at. But again,

(55:00):
do we really need a shooting guardrather than another position and not?
So I don't know about that. So, Um, before we get further,
Um, John, I do wantto go to my next player.
UM, if I can find mylist again, bear with me here.
Um that was um, mister Shaffino, Um number four, number five,

(55:23):
Grady Grady D. I'm not gonnasay its old name. I can't do
it. But let's look at hishighlights all the same though, to give
me a second, let team.We can pull up this highlights. Give
me a second John Harris right thefire with the thrown down on Dick.
Another followed Adam adamow a half waythrough this first half, Harris, I'll

(56:00):
the drive. He'll pick it outto the quarter. He the food,
keeping the cans and keep it spreadout at the beginning of passing at one
time and one targets the leach rolesone hole turns the corner lect the fire.

(56:22):
One of the best strokes going incollege basketball. Y just wanted to
work work into the wall and Adamsif colums greedy cheese dude figured out the
way to count where you wave themboth um put themselves up to the ti.

(56:45):
He'll call over bound out to putthat everybody gets to touch you rebound
and you all that one pass rightthere. That shows you that he's pretty
much in his head. He's alwayslooking to get the ball to somebody as

(57:06):
well. He can make some plays. Then you can see also on the
offensive side he can hit some shotstoo. He has a really good shot
him playing at Kansas, you know, in that particular conference that's that's pretty
competitive there. So he looks prettygood as far as that goes. Six
four six six ft two four fourseventy nine is the number by the way,
of course, And thanks for Ricoand some others who've been chiming in

(57:27):
on the chat line as well,And of course thanks John for calling in
and helped me out a little bit, trying to get me through this little
sickness that I have this season. So Grady plays at Kansas. Some of
his goods and bads. First ofall, six six, two hundred pounds,
nineteen years old, fourteen points agame average, five rebounds a game.

(57:47):
Um, they're at Kansas. Threepoint shooting shot forty percent, three
throw shooting eighty five percent. Decisionmaking, he'll he'll make the right pass
and move the ball to maintain theflow of the offense. Hmm. Interesting,
right weigness is defensively, he'll bechallenged. We're staying in front of
NBA guards strength. He'll need tobulk up a little bit. As I

(58:09):
mentioned, he's right at two orfour six six, So that's a little
bit about Gradio. I want todrill on him too much because again on
the defensive side, I'm leaning towardsif we're gonna pull some players from the
draft, they need to be alittle bit more on the defensive side than
the offense. We got plenty ofoffense with what we got. Um,
John any, I don't know ifyou well, of course you're on the

(58:31):
radio, so you didn't get tosee that. But do you have any
ideas in regards to, you know, possible little picks in regards to that
end of it as far as likeguards or whatnot. Okay, now is
this man and this is this isa question for anyone that we draft.

(58:54):
Are they doing on the floor? Are they going on the floor this year?
Well, the reason why I asked, oh, go ahead, I'm
sorry, go ahead, Oh,go go ahead, go ahead to see
the show. I did the wholeroster layout, and I mentioned like four
or five players are probably on thebubble as far as we probably are not

(59:17):
going to see them, just becauseI think we can get players that will
be at the end of the daya better fit for the rest of the
guys that will be here. AndI mentioned those names, and I'll go
ahead and mention them to you soyou can know who they were. Oh,
I heard you. I heard you. I heard you when you mentioned
them. I did hear that part. I did hear that PARTA, and

(59:37):
and and what I wanted to sayis that, Okay, Quinn has shortened
Quinn has shortened rotation to nine players. Okay, so a lot of the
names that you mentioned weren't gonna theywere gonna get the Golden Splinter Award for
riding. Oh anyway, the rotationhas been short were in the playoffs,

(01:00:02):
and he's shortened it because hey, hey, Chris, he's shortened it to
eight in the playoffs. I'm justsaying, yeah, no, no,
no, no, no, Seehe's shortened it to nine because you remember,

(01:00:25):
a J didn't get on the floorwhen he came in. When he
first came here, a J didn'tget on the floor. It was always
JJ. Okay, now in theplayoffs, he shortened it to eight players,
all right now, And and andthat that's the problem I'm having because

(01:00:45):
really, really, really, Chris, I don't know what this man's offense
is. I don't know what thisman's defense is. I don't know what
this philosophy is. I know solittle about him that, you know,
I can't really project what it isthat he would want to bring in here.

(01:01:05):
Okay, I saw the twenty somethinggames that he coached and how he
you know, coached everybody and thesubstitutions that he made things that sort,
but I couldn't draw a b onwho he actually was. Okay, so
and then then on top of that, then on top of that, all

(01:01:27):
right, that was talk that Quinnhad agreed to become head coach and he
agreed to become head coach here becausehe was going to have a certain amount
of say so, certain amount ofpower. Well, in an interview to
this week, he said, no, I didn't accept the job under that
I trusted, you know, Itrust in these people to make the right

(01:01:58):
selections and get the right people. Now he made trust in him, but
I don't, which makes me nottrust in him because these people. Man,
look, I would be scared togo to an auction with one item
and one builder with these people. He'll missed at up, you know.

(01:02:22):
I mean, that's that's the confusingpart right now with all of the people
that we're looking at everybody everybody isthat I'm that I'm listening to, that
I'm hearing. Um we are. We're projecting, but we don't have a
foundation by which to project, ifyou understand what I'm saying, Because I

(01:02:45):
don't know, and in this case, it's like we're kind of what's the
word I'm looking for, not caughtbehind the rock and the hard place,
because it was it was a circumstantialthing as sorry as when he came in
and what he had to play with. And remember he's also was working with
the coaching staff at the end ofthe day was not going to be his
coaching staff as well, and wewere still going into the playoffs. So

(01:03:07):
I think I think this off seasonagain, it is going to be a
monumental off season to you know, figure these things out. But I still
think it's gonna be fun to kindof at least look at it from the
outside looking again without trying to maketoo many assumptions things of that nature,
because we have some really good playerson our team. They just were not

(01:03:28):
putting the best position to succeed forthe majority of the NBA season of this
year and last year, you knowwhat I'm saying, and years before that,
because again that's all coaching is.Again, the reason that the Miami
he continued to do what they dois because coach Folks takes whoever he has,
no matter who they are on thatroster, and he's gonna figure it
out. He's gonna figure that out. He's gonna make sure that he's not

(01:03:50):
putting them in a position of thisservice and you really can't help the team
doing this. He's gonna take whatyou know, what you can do.
You always want to get better, but we know you can do this right
now. We need you to dothis right now and be exception the ladder.
That's what Bill Belichick has done overthe years and all these other coaches.
So that's why I think I'm hopingwe get to see this season finally

(01:04:13):
and having an actual offense crafted behindone of the best passers in the NBA,
Blarden he's left in the league andassist two years in a row,
and having all these other players werereally good at doing certain things and getting
them to be able to do thosethings rather than the opposite of things,
and enforcing that down people's throats belike, Okay, well we're going to
be successful doing this even though we'renot right so real quick, and thanks

(01:04:39):
for weighing that comment. I'm gonnasee if I can look up Gig Jackson
the second but I can't pull upthe highlights and naturally downloaded and all that
in the midst of a show.I can't do that. Well, don't
think if I can figure out whothat is. Also, thanks for Rico
looking in and all the others whoare watching live right now and again you
can call in six four six,six five two full four seven. Now

(01:04:59):
we have hour left. I wasgoing to take a break, but I'm
not going to do that because Iknow I want to try to get through
the rest of these players. LeonardMiller from G League at Night, he's
he plays power forward, I guessyou can say in G League, so
I guess up here he would bea forward, flash center. Possibly we'll
sleep. Let's look, let's lookat some highlights of mister Leonard and uh,

(01:05:20):
we'll talk about him for a second. So let's go find his highlights
real quick, mister Len, misterLennard. Here we go, mister.

(01:07:00):
That's a little bit of mister mLeonard, and let's talk about him real
quick, just to give you abrief subscription, six ten, two hundred
and thirteen pounds again playing power forwardcurrently, um they use him as a
slasher color a little bit switchable forwardon defense. They say his strengths six
ten, seven foot two wingspan,um. They say he's a guard at

(01:07:23):
heart. You kind of saw that, you know, him dribbling all the
way down the court and finishing onhis own things of that nature. Has
a little bit of touching finesse aroundthe rim that that bowes well for him
as far as that goes. Um. Always he has a they say,
he has a way to go asa decision maker, but he has an
upside as a passer and playmaker onthat end as well. Not a great

(01:07:45):
shooter um as far as that goes. But again that's something to where where
are you using him as as abig as far as that goes, And
do you really need him more onone side than the other. His weaknesses
again three point shot, so he'snot going to be a threat far as
that goes. Um. And theysay on the defensive nity saying it is

(01:08:06):
theoretical at this point he has flashesor it's filling block numbers are mid you
know per se Well, I sawa couple of Again you saw the tape
and it sounds that he can doit, but will he get put into
that position to where he can doit and stuff like that, And that's
where coaching comes in here. Imean, he'd be a rookie. Um.
So that's a little bit about misterLeonard as far as a big right,

(01:08:28):
there as a possible um John umSo again we were talking about possible
free agents, but I don't know. Again, have you seen any rookies
that could be a possible big optionas a drafted player. I've seen a
couple. Um Ever, the onlything, okay, what is going to

(01:08:55):
be and see you hit on it, you hit on it. This the
beginning of the show. What isour time frame looking like? Because we
can't we can't go through this twomore years. We need help now,
we immediate help now. And that'swhy I'm leaning towards um. I'm kind

(01:09:18):
of leaning towards a free agent orsome free agents, preferably from that uh,
from the EuroLeague, because at thecenter and power cord positions, they
are a bit more polished, they'rea bit more physical than you know,
what we are seeing coming out ofcollege. And one thing that I'm seeing

(01:09:41):
is being emphasized in college or theseflashures this slash four excuse me of five,
slash fives and slash fours and youknow, strength this and stress that,
and see we need we need someWe need some help, we need
some scide, We need to havea presence down lowe. You know,

(01:10:03):
uh are you? You know wewere watching John Collins, We were watching
um double old, watching Jalen Johnson, and it wasn't like they were being
taught or they had any type ofattitude. Now we have someone on the

(01:10:26):
coaching staff now that is a bigman coach and yeah, man, yeah,
he stacked up a whole bunch ofeuro EuroLeague championships as well as Accolade.
And you know he has enough equityto where people were listening to what
it is that he has to say, you know, if you won't rings,
or you won't championships, or someonewho knows how to play the position.

(01:10:49):
This particular man, I can't thinkof his name, but this particular
man, he has that type ofequity where he can get a John Collins.
Look, this is what you needto do. This is what you
need to work off j J.This is what you need to work off.
Double ow. Hey you're under sidecenter, but you got the strength,

(01:11:09):
you got the tenacity. You needto work on these. You need
to work on that and drill andin this off season, you know,
really get these people together. Okay, we got we got a video person
now, So it's like one ofyou know how I've been. It's like,
aren't even even looking at any tapebecause we couldn't be continued to not

(01:11:30):
block out, to not get backon the defense, to not be able
to rotate, to keep overhelping ifwe were looking at the tape and saying,
hey, guys, here's the tape, stop doing this. I believe
that's going to start happening now,and I think that's gonna get taught out
of all these guys at this point. So it's a great point right there
for sure. Um, as faras the side goes, I don't think

(01:11:51):
we're going to really find anybody outof college with size. I don't think.
I do have a couple of othercenters to kind of look at,
and I'm gonna go over them ina say I can't. But I do
want to acknowledge Gig Jackson because Waynehad mentioned to him. I did take
a look a little bit out ofI believe this is South Carolina. Fifteen
points a game, almost six reboundsa night, pretty good size. Uh,

(01:12:15):
he's a player. I'm sorry I'veseen some of this stuff. I
didn't. I don't know why Ididn't pull him. I don't know why
I missed him. But that's definitelyan option right there, I believe.
So appreciate that Wayne Jordan Jackson haschipped in a little bit too, So
shout out to Jordan making the showa little bit. Appreciate that. UM.
Let me go to the next player. Actually his name is it may
seem I could pronounce this correctly,Mohammed gi I um, and I will

(01:12:41):
pull him up real quick so wecan see where he was playing. I
wanted to stay off the top ofmy head because I've been doing this all
night. Washington, I believe itis. Let's seek, I could find
him, yep, Washington State. There he is on the screen. Let's
look at a couple of his highlightsand see if he could be you know,
a possible option. Y'all give mea second, and here are his
highlights hand double bubbles on the Jasonfor James decond is a back twelve.

(01:13:09):
We got his rat track. Thereget the game? Okay, well,
squ Rigger and he had four teamreal They bolstered the resume for the Stario
gets a lot of minutes to givethe game for the four handed fields,
open and die. He wanted JayPoland, who committed a foul at the

(01:13:32):
start. They got three minutes beforehe went to the sideliners. Jacobosky,
he's already got a fifteen footers reisit out here to watch the sake he
barks. We talked about the speakl. He's not an actor. Urge

(01:13:54):
Harrison's cornering is to give the Gameof Chicks ten four Garding Muhamma day or
he gets the fut week. Iguess the Washington working out field. Do
you want to save anything from allright? So his last name is pronounced

(01:14:18):
Gay Muhammed Gay. Now, justfrom those highlights, one he finishes at
the basket, saw that two.Uh. He plays with some force as
you can see with his thighs.Um he also has a three. It
looks like he has a three. You never know as far as that goes.
Now, as far as his UMprofile, six eleven, two hundred

(01:14:40):
ten pounds out of Washington State,as I mentioned, um excels at scoring
off the ball on motion. Playsadequate shooter for a big man, has
stretched big potential, decent refounder, decent defender, adequate shot blocker, above
average athlete. Um cons must improvehis low game um low post game.

(01:15:00):
He can be two passes on theoffense, which is not a good thing.
Right there, say's not an eliterebounder, so that kind of actually,
now that I'm reading that kind ofgives me a little bit of concern.
But again, coaching can change thata little bit. Must get stronger.
And again that's just a size thingright there, A little bit as
well. But he has the size. I mean, if you just saw

(01:15:21):
those highlights right there, wouldn't beI wouldn't be too mad. Again,
this is a pick that would bein the lower part of the draft obviously
right there. To go with Johnwas staying as far as we need to
have somebody with some size. Again, we don't know what we're gonna do
with Bruno whatnot. But if youcan get someone who might be buried in

(01:15:43):
Bruno, you gotta do that. But if we keep Bruno, or we
don't have Bruno but we don't bringin a free agent because you're not gonna
spend no money, you gotta lookat least one big out of the draft,
I think sincerely to be able toprovide some of that to offset what
other teams are doing again. Iknow some of our offensive techniques are going
to change, and that's going tohelp out a lot. But when it

(01:16:05):
comes to the need to gritty inthe playoffs and a seven game series,
top of the deal, like Johnsaid, we need somebody to you know,
we need extra people who can hitin that post and be a threat.
Again, we can't play four onfive no more. That's all I'm
concerned about. If we can't,if we don't have to play four on
five all the time, we willwin a whole lot more games just based

(01:16:25):
off of that. As I mentionedthat Brooklyn net Um example earlier tonight.
Um, John, any comments,I know you couldn't see mister Muhammad there,
but if you get a chance to, you know, definitely take a
look at them too. Hey,what was what? I think you're breaking

(01:16:46):
up a little bit on that teammobile, John, help me out.
But if I think I heard youwith his stats and stuff, he's six
to eleven, two hundred ten poundsum on the page. This is the
NBA Scouting Live page, by theway, and I've been shouting out all
the pages tonight giving everybody credit. So just let you know, um,
right, okayis eleven two ten.He has a pretty good wingspan, has

(01:17:10):
pretty nice side, he can move. He doesn't look awkward or anything like
that. Again, he's he reallyhe's really good at off ball motion plays,
so he's great picking roll picking pop. He has a jumper. He
hear a couple of jumpers. Isaw it, nothing but net type stuff.
So he has a shot. Um, it looks like he will get
in there and mix it up withpeople's shot blocker get some rebounds. I

(01:17:31):
think it's just consistency of anything.Um. Again, I don't know the
team that well to know what hedid during the season and stuff like that.
But um, that's just a littlebit about him. Okay, Okay,
Yeah, I just wanted to findout, you know, some specifics.
See, Okay, he's got goodside pick to leven al Right,
he needs to gain some weight,a couple of trips to the Wapper house

(01:17:54):
at least two times a week. You know, he'll be straight bad round
about All Star game time. Youknow, have about twenty some thirty some
pounds on him. And you knowone thing that we have on our team,
and you know, I just wanteverybody to think about this on defense

(01:18:14):
when Trey Young is on the floor, Trade Young, no matter what he
does, him, being as smallas he is, he's a defensive liability.
So the other four players have tocover him, you know. And
TREYE. Young can play defense fromthe the person's shoulders down. Okay,
once the ball goes above his shoulders. Yeah, once it goes above his

(01:18:38):
shoulders. Okay, Trey Young defensiveassignment. You know, he got a
hicc of He got a hicc ofan assignment on the thing. Again,
it's not his guy that's given usthirty a night though, So I'm just
throwing that out there right right, right right. And on the offensive end,
if you have Capella on the floor, the other four players have to

(01:19:00):
cover for him. So we aresituation where you've got to cover for each
other, okay, for each other'sweaknesses. Now, you can't have two
to three players out there on thefloor, but you can't have three players
out there on the floor that areliabilities either way. Okay. So the

(01:19:24):
thing is is that Tray Young andsee this is something that you know we
were talking about. Tray Young hasgot to be either your point guard or
your shooting guard, you know, that job that he's doing every night.
He's doing two people's jobs every night. You know that. That's one thing

(01:19:45):
that I was looking at, because, Okay, if you want this man
to score, can he score andfacilitate at the same time. And when
he does facilitate, will you hitthe shot? Will you hit the shot?
And when you play defense, canyou play good enough defense to where
you can cover for any uh miss, you know, any slack that trade

(01:20:09):
young you's want to provide because ofhim being vertically talented and being small and
we are not. We haven't beengetting that out of our team. We
haven't been getting that out of ourteam, not consistently anyway. No,
No, I mean when it wouldcount, when it would count, we
weren't there. You know, wejust wasn't there. You need to stop

(01:20:30):
by, somebody, just put ahand in the face, abody, somebody
up or man up to where you'renot being knocked all over the floor,
all right, And you know wewould fall short at all five positions,
at all five positions sometimes man andseeing again, that's where that responsibility on

(01:20:54):
the coaching side, where's the tapeat Because that's something visible that everybody can
see. And it's like if everybodyelse can see it. Why is it
being addressed? Why is it justthrowing your hands up in the air as
if nothing can change. And I'mlike, well, that's wrong. That's
clearly wrong because other teams are doingit. So I got a I got
an option for you, um onthat side of the ball as far as

(01:21:17):
uh doing a little bit extra DerekLively as a duke, um as a
possible and so I'm gonna show.I'm gonna show some of his highlights real
quick for the audience, and thenI'll break down some of his profile as
well. It's gonna be hard chasing. It's a shout outside people track shot

(01:22:09):
up. He can get very hot, I'm sorry, particularly with the lead
like this ering the shot walked, that one released. This time, I'm

(01:22:33):
gonna track Park down the seventh flightdown, all right. So I'm in
his highlight reel on another rejection. So UM in regards to mister Lively,

(01:22:55):
Um, they're at dupe five fivepoints of game, five rebounds a game,
and the two point four blocks agame, sixty five percent shooting from
the field. Doesn't really shoot threes. He's trying to He's trying to block
all the shots Okay, that's onething. If you saw those highlights he
had one game he had six blockshots or whatnot. So that's a room

(01:23:16):
protector for you. Okay, that'ssomebody who can help you immediately. His
wingspan is if he doesn't block it, he's gonna deter that shot. It's
gonna be deflected, it's gonna beoff. You're not gonna get a clean
look anymore. Now. Strength wise, he's a little light, but a
whole lot of guys are coming intothe league light. It's always been like

(01:23:38):
that. They're going to like yousaid, like John said, it's gonna
have to go to waf house alittle bit. But the wingspan, you
can't really ignore that part. Heblocked shot. So also on the rebounding
side, that's another thing, asfar as again being able to find your
man. If we got we havethis weakness again of not being able to
block out and know where your guyis. If you have somebody like down

(01:24:00):
on your team, it might notmatter as much because if that ball goes
in the air and somebody misses it, he's right there. He's gonna snatch
out the air for you a coupleof times coming. If he's coming off
the bench doing that. He's athreat. Now every time you need to
stop somebody from scoring, he's athreat. Now you just put him in
there and be like block everything, and that's what he's gonna go do.
Sometimes you need that. Um Soagain, John, I know you can't

(01:24:25):
see anything, but I know youheard some of that and I just ran
off some of his statistics there. What would you think about him? And
actually, that's a player that alot of people have heard about because he's
from Duke and everything like that. Now he's that's somebody I can work with.
You know, that's somebody I canwork with. They called see once

(01:24:46):
you block a few shots and youstand tall and you know, uh,
block shots like Marvin Wealth to thehuman eraper. Look the word gets around
and you get your teams get intimidatedand they'll come up. Then look at
him pass it off to somebody, which would be a lower percentage shot because

(01:25:10):
you might be right there in thepaint getting ready to getting ready to lay
it up or shoot it over thisman and this man is standing there with
his hand up and you know hisreputation. Hey, you know that that
can definitely work. That can definitelywork. Yeah, and one of the
other things too, is you know, being able to run the floor.

(01:25:30):
But us, Oh, that's theother thing too. The again off of
the screen or pick a roll situationwhere you have your man up top the
center has been caught in that switch. You gotta have somebody who's willing to
move up and be able to dosomething. If you do move up,
you gotta be able to be somekind of a defensive threat to where you're
just not gonna just give him awilde open shot. You can't worry about

(01:25:55):
what's happening behind you anymore. Youcan't do two things at once. Now,
some of that is training in coaching, but also if some of that
as this dog I'm on common sense, I gotta play this guy. And
again, you just have to trustthat your teammates will pick up man.
And that's why I always talk aboutmy Sunday Night basketball videos. When I
play. If I move, ifI'm going to run around with the point

(01:26:15):
guard for a little bit, someone'sgonna have to go and or either I
need to be able to switch backor fight through the screen or around it
to where I won't get caught inthe screen. The first dog on Place
was what I usually do. Butif I end up getting put on to
the point guard, I gotta staywith that point guard long enough to where
I can find my man back inthe post again before they can find my

(01:26:38):
guy in have an advantage. Butsee also though, guess what, because
I'm out there hustless. Even ifthey do get the ball to my guy,
he has an advantage. You knowwhat I'm coming around and doing.
I'm coming around there to either swapthe ball, to plect it, do
something to help out because I'm adouble team. Okay, again, some
of that is natural, but someof that is per training. Need to

(01:27:00):
know that's where you're supposed to bein that situation, and we didn't get
that last We haven't gotten that kindof direction and coaching from the bench to
be able to have our guys readyas each of every single situation, which
is frustrating because we scored one hundredand eighteen points a game and gave up
one hundred and eighteen points a game. Dog on it. What are we
doing as a team. So that'sjust a little bit I can say.

(01:27:23):
That's flaring some of the draft picks. I do have one more. I
do want to kind of throw outthere for y'all, kind of like a
sleeper pick. I guess you cansay, let's see if I can find
him real quick. His name is, Let's see where where where did he
go? I can barely talk TristanVuvic from Serbia. I believe it's how

(01:27:44):
you announce his name. Let's seeif I can find his highlights real quick,
and then we'll talk about him,and we'll talk about some other players
and get into some other stuff alittle bit as we get ready to close
out the show, I mean lastyet, Clara winds up making all an
All Rookie team this year. Uhgets picked in the lottery here and now
I'm not saying that what he didlast year got him into lottery, but

(01:28:08):
I think it's certainly it's sharred upfrom the fire lines without going to day
what the user David Wilson Santa Claraas well right Jordan Miller with a knockdown
three plush the foul. The redShirt senior out of Miami has got two
bottle fours under themselves the time outas they find themselves down by a We

(01:28:44):
liked that this game is a littlemore tightly contested than the first one.
The first was a bit of ablowout. So that's enough of Tristan.
So Tristan is pretty much you're stretchedbig. Basically, you can see these
shots his shots action. He's notreally in the post at all, but
as the big, the stretch fourpart or the stretch five, wherever you

(01:29:08):
want to call it, he haspretty good shot there. As you can
see, he didn't have a lotof shots where he was playing, at
least if I got him pulled uphere. Um he is six to eleven
two twenty three out of Serbia. As I mean, he's twenty years old.
UM, twenty one games he playedwith Real Madrid. Um had eleven

(01:29:28):
starts, average eight eight points, three boards and assists. UM. Trying
to look at some of these otherstats real quick. Basically they say for
this analysis he was inconsistent with hisplaying time, so you don't really know
what you got there. Maybe thirtyseven percent of his threes, okay,
Um, not really a thround thedefensive end, really, but definitely as

(01:29:50):
so far as a stretch. He'she's he's he's from Serbia. I should
give you a little bit of anindication. I'm just saying somebody just won
the World Championship like that, right, m and coaching can help them throughout
the rest of the stuff. Butagain, if you just need somebody who
can score off the bench, whowas a big and the other big is
not going to want to come outthere and guard you, he has wide

(01:30:11):
open shots all day, right,So that's just something to think about as
far as that goes. But again, me, I'm looking more on the
defensive side. Who can come onthe team and help get those extra rebounds,
get those extra skills, get thoseextra block shots, be able to
block out your man, be ableto get around the screen or or be
able to rotate properly, and justbe in your assignments on a regular basis

(01:30:33):
and want to stop people because thewant to. We need more of that.
Again, it has to come fromthe players, and it has to
come from the coaching staff to makesure that the players are doing it,
which means if you don't do it, you can't play type of a day,
which I've been saying for five billionyears now. Of course, as
far as that goes, So thoseare a lot of players. There's a

(01:30:54):
couple of others, but I justdon't even really want to talk about those
guys, because I don't want mywhole broach to just fall or anything like
that. But John, Um,any any final thoughts in regards to just
players in general, because again Iwanted to talk just a draft in this
show as far as as possible, because we got the fifteenth pick. If
you do your due diligence, youcan get good players in that range.

(01:31:15):
We know that because we've done itbefore. Right. Um, the second
round is always up, you know, toss up or whatnot, but you
can get quality at that fifteenth pick. Um, what will your final thoughts
be in regards to what you wouldlike to see happen? Because, like
I said, we're gonna do anothershow that we gonna talk about free agency
all throughout the night. But tonightI just wanted to concentrate on the draft.

(01:31:41):
Well the Hawk scouting department. Halffor you guys to go to work,
half for you guys, do yourresearch, bang the payment, get
on the phone, get on theplane, get on the bus, get
on the train. Fine players, fine players. You know if we're gonna

(01:32:04):
tear the whole team up in orderto get a free agent that somebody likes,
like a Siam or whoever it isno. No, you got to
go and you got to have basketballpeople just just like you going to get
going to get a watermelon. Yougotta you gotta know how to thump them

(01:32:26):
watermelons to know whether this thing isgonna be sweet or not, or whether
it's gonna be a good watermelon. So the same thing with your with your
with with your scouting staff, withyour coaching style. And you know,
I always say, and I've beensaying it for the fans five or six
years, and this was when wedidn't have coaches on the staff that could

(01:32:49):
train big men, that could trainguards. Okay, now you know you
got Mark Price and you got KyleCorner. Okay, they can do a
little training. You got this coachsaid, like I said, I can't
remember what his name is. Yougot him. But prior to them,
Kim A large to want to runa big man account down there in Houston.

(01:33:11):
Okay, James went down there,Kobe Bryant went down there. They
had always already one ring, butthey wanted to learn some more. You
know, we've got to go andpick the right thing this time, all
right. And see one thing too, Chris, this is an entirely new

(01:33:33):
coaching staff. It wasn't like youswitched the heads on the coaching on the
coaching staff and that was it.This is an entirely new coaching staff,
people with somewhat you know what, pettigreed. I just said, they have
petty greed, all right, SoI expect to your point, to your

(01:33:53):
point, I expect a well coached, well trained team versus what we've been
having with Lloyd Pierce and with Natemcmilton. You know, I really am
am expecting that because I'm looking atyou know, all the people that they
hired. I'm looking at all thosepeople, and they have pedigree, they

(01:34:14):
have. It all depends now,if you go and pick the right horse.
You know, the Hawks got ahump in his back going the wrong
way. You don't walk that horse. Yeah, you want a horse that
you can ride. Okay, youwant a hawse that you can show up.
Go pick the right thing for yourteam. Get the best thing you

(01:34:39):
can, whether it be one ofthe American colleges, whether it be one
of the American free agents, orif you got to go across the water,
if you got to go to Australia, if you got to go to
top wherever, it is that youneed to go to get the best players
for this team. Guys, godo well, will be watching. Yeah,

(01:35:00):
this is like I said, thisis a monumental offseason for the Hawks.
Um, we just we can't keepwe can't keep wasting the talent that
is here, okay and basically washingour hands of it and say, okay,
well, since we can't do thejob of making sure that people are
in their best positions, we'll justget rid of players. That's just ludicrous

(01:35:24):
to me. And that's what's beenhappening, right And to not be able
to fully utilize, like to havea player. And this goes into just
being active. This is this isn'ta human nature a little bit. But
on the competitive side, if you'rea player and and you go from getting
the ball fifteen times plus a gameto nine, eight and seven a game,

(01:35:48):
by definition, you're not involved inthe offense. It's it's it's and
when you are, when you're aprimary player on the team and all of
a sudden you're not, it doesmake a difference because one is flow,
two hot and cold. If you'reonly getting one shot every three or four

(01:36:09):
or five minutes and barely that you'rereally Again, with any sport being hot
matters being in some kind of aflow. Like football. You always see
it where the running back have toget hit a couple of times so his
juices are flowing right. That widereceiver got to catch that first ball and
get hit right, or sometimes eventhe quarterback, he got to get hit

(01:36:31):
right. He got to be inthe flow of the game. Gotta get
these plays, you gotta get this. What did they do a script in
football to get those first couple ofplays going and things of that nature,
to get the office in motion andstuff like that. It's the same thing
in baseball, it's the same thingin soccer. It's the same thing and
every sport to where you gotta beinvolved to be able to be proficient in

(01:36:54):
what you're doing. To not bemeans you're you're missing out on utilizing something
who's probably really good, but youcan't tell. Like I always used to
Yakam as an example, Yaka isgetting almost twenty shots to night. He's
better score thirty points a game gettingeighteen nineteen shots a game. Dog on
it. You see what I'm saying. Now, will he be able to

(01:37:16):
be as productive if he goes fromnineteen shots a game to seven. I
don't think so, you see whatI'm saying, because he's not getting the
ball by definition. Again, thatHouston game was so infuriating, if y'all
remember it. We were up byfifteen points and we got beat by a
team that hadn't even won stick gamesyet because people were getting looked off,

(01:37:39):
okay, and I was like,we need to make a coaching change now.
We didn't. You know what happenedafter that? We lost two more
games in a row when we hada fifteen point league or more, and
the coach said, it's not theproblem that we're losing leads. He said
that out loud in public, yousell a whole bunch of stuff people don't
want to pay attention. But mygoodness, how can you not be concerned

(01:38:00):
about that? Because the whole pointof how being players on your team is
everybody needs to get fat. Asa John mentioned earlier, and as I've
mentioned plenty of times again, itmakes a difference. Let's get the ball
in the post. Run some offense, run run some screens, run some
motion, because guess what if youget me the ball in the post,

(01:38:21):
I'm getting you the ball. I'meither getting you a layup, like,
come, you cut right here,I'm putting the ball right there in your
chest and you're gonna lay it upbecause I'm gonna move your man out the
way. Or if you move aroundthat three point line and you cut proper,
I'm getting you a wide open threein the corner. I'm getting you
a wild open three at the topof the key. If you move the

(01:38:42):
ball to me, I'm I'm gonnabe the offense because i don't need to
score. I'm trying. I'm tryingto get eight assists to night myself,
and that's where we need to be. If we had a motion offense and
we had that mentality, we wouldbe such a dominating team. And we
saw glimpses once we had the coachingchange and everything, we saw glimpses of
that, but it was still amatter of we gotta weed all this other

(01:39:03):
stuff out of people's minds, okay, because again, for the longest time,
we had nothing. Okay, wejust out there, y'all. Remember
if you've seen any of my showsor seen any in my post, we
just out there. And that's justnot enough. When we're in the Eastern
Conference and we could rule the EasternConference, y'all, we really can.
We should have beat the Boston Celtics. We should have been up three games

(01:39:27):
or two or whatever it was insteadof being down three two. We could
have beat Boston straight up. Yousee what I'm saying. I'm just saying,
we go. We gotta do it. Yeah, And we'll let me
say this one thing when we wouldwatch the Hawks. When when I would
watch the Hawks, it got tothe point, whether it was Quinn or

(01:39:49):
whether it was Nate nick Miller,if the Hawks moved, we win.
If they're stagnant, we lose.It was just that simple. And the
crazy part about it was that,Okay, you won this game going away
looking beautiful looking, I mean, looking like a real professional team out there

(01:40:09):
because your shots were falling. Everybodywas involved because you were moving. But
you would come right back the verynext night and you gonna stand over in
the corner. Uh, these threeyoung out there to drive because nobody come
in to setupe. Congratulations you playyour shot. I mean, it was

(01:40:30):
just ridiculous. It was just ridiculous. And the crazy part about it,
Okay, you play a Boston oror or a Milwaukee, beat them,
come back like that Houston game youwere talking about it. You're talking about
remember we beat Milwaukee in Milwaukee, played them straight up and just beat them.

(01:40:54):
Came back on the ESPN night thisBoston and got I was at that
game. I'm still mad about thatgame because spent money on it. Of
course, obviously throw two hours togo to that game, to have to
fight Boston Celtics fans all dogs allnight because they're talking all this match.
I couldn't really say nothing because we'regetting beat by a third. We're not
even competing right a day after we'rebeating the Walk. It's stuff like that,

(01:41:15):
and it's just like, how doyou revert so drastically in twenty four
hours? It was? It wasIt was crazy. Yeah, yeah,
and that that's the most infuriating thing. That was the most infuriating thing.
And see that Houston game that youwere talking about. You know, we
are up film teams, Dad,we decided we want to start hitting folks

(01:41:38):
on top of the head and playingaround with them and acting like the game
is one and you still got awhole half to play. Oh man.
But I and see, that's whyI couldn't go to the games this year.
Chris cars. I went down thereon the floor, that went on
the floor, and it was afew times I was. I was just
like, again, I knew wewere gonna lose that Houston game the moment

(01:42:01):
Trey looked off John the second timeand waved them out and then he went
one on one and miss the shot. Whatever. They came back and scored
or whatever. And then, ofcourse, like you said, Murray patted
that dude on the head. Iwas like, you do that. We
better win this game. This teamhas or wins the whole freaking season.
We better not lose this game becausethis is this is a disaster. And

(01:42:24):
you see how the rest of theseason turned out. That game was so
pivotal to the rest of the seasonas far as I'm concerned, and it
was there was just no recourse ofany kind, and again from the coaching
side of the thing, it justdidn't look like it was that big of
a deal. And I'm like, well, what are we even really doing.
We just wasted another season for noreason. We can't have no more
racist seasons. We just we justcan't dope, can't can't keep wasting me

(01:42:48):
please, because playing is okay.People pointed out that we had. Um,
you know, I think we ledthe league in attendance this year.
Really, you sure did. Yeah. Yeah. Now for the basketball purists

(01:43:11):
such as us, who you know, take a look, and you know,
look at how you won as wellas how you lost. When you're
forty one and forty one and you'reselling out every night and you're number one
in attendance, you have to lookat why other people coming. It's fashionable,
Okay, it's fashionable. You're havinga lot of concerts down there.

(01:43:32):
You're drawing some people down there,uh for after game activities instead of the
game. And for me, that'sreally the ultimate insult to me, because
all right, you bought the ticketnot to watch your team play, but
to see Ludicrous, to see BigBoy, to see uh these people.

(01:43:56):
Of those people, you know,Now if I wanted to city see,
but I would old Page for theconcert. I'm coming to the arena,
State Farm Arena, whatever the heckit is. I'm coming to see my
basketball team play, all right, that's my reason for coming down there.
Okay. Now, the luster isgoing to come off of the diamonds when

(01:44:19):
people get tired of losing or dealingwith folks down there just like you had
to deal with. Okay, becausethe people that are coming and doing the
concert, they're gonna stop wanting tocome down there for a losing team.
Okay, then yeah, yeah, make some money. But you know the

(01:44:41):
goose, that lady the golden egg, he's gonna stop laying golden eggs unless
the team start winning. You know, if you win, we will come.
Well, now I will say thehalf and half because well, I
was a season ticket hold of thisyear. It's hard for me to get
to the line of games just becauseI'm two hours away and all that,
and I'm working and everything like that. But I'm not one so much to

(01:45:05):
wear, you know, because againI've always said this, when you pick
a team, you know that teammay never win a championship. You know
that from the get go. Youknow, and definitely winning is very important,
but you are you guys want tosupport that team until they do start
winning. But when they're just oblongain't doing nothing to do anything to actually

(01:45:28):
win. That's like the Wizards. When's the last time the Wizards did anything
right? Okay? That team isa shambles all the time. Also been
in the playoffs the last three yearsat least they can say that, and
then before that, the last tenyears in a row, I've just been
a comparitive team for a long timein their franchise. Not when a championship
competitive, but they're in there.Again, you can't win a championship unless

(01:45:49):
you're in the playoffs, right,But definitely if the Hawks were winning more
on the side of advancing and thingsof that nature, again, we gotta
taste of it. Two years.Should have it should have been continuous,
but again we were kind of pulledback a little bit, you know,
And I think now this is thatopportunity, that window of we can do

(01:46:12):
a lot over the next decade orso, we keep a particular chord together,
we see how that rolls. Butwe have enough to be competitive because
we've seen it. We've seen itliterally over the last two years, right,
of what this team can do inbunches, and it's just a matter
of the consistency of it. Andif we're only a couple of players away,

(01:46:32):
fine, If we're the coaching staffaway, fine, If it's the
owner paying the luxury dogs on thetax fine, right um. Because because
because again it's time for Atlanta tohave a ring. It's time trading through
it out there. It's time towin it again. I said it.
I said it the night that Deverwon. This could be us within a

(01:46:53):
year, easily. This could beus next year easily. It really can.
The East is not think about it. Who's like, oh, who's
You're scared of Cleveland? Scared ofthe next who you just got a boss?
No, it's not scared of theseteams are dominating or anything like that.
We could have beat all these teams. We could have, and we

(01:47:14):
just didn't. So that's a differenceright there. And I think again,
with changing a lot of these thingsover, I think we're gonna have that
mentality. I think we're gonna havethe capability, We're gonna have the teaching
down. And then of course therest of it is on the players.
Will they turn that corner and key? You know, if we do end
up bringing all these all of themback, will that you know, again,

(01:47:36):
this willna be a personal responsibility thingat that point, you know,
But like I said, we justdon't know just yet. Again, we
won't really know until next week asthings kind of get into you know,
that was it July first? Iguess it is date and it will see
the ball start drop. We've alreadyseen a couple of you know, trades
already obviously, right, So we'lljust have to kind of see as a

(01:48:00):
breath of this week go then goinginto the week after, will the Hawks
make any you know, substantial moveswill be just a particular type of a
tweets a move or whatnot. Butthey can't go another season and let Trey
Young be on top of the leagueand assist the scoring and we don't do
nothing with that and continue to holdup hold back other players because you just

(01:48:23):
don't want to play young guys.Former coach, right, and then stuff
like that. So anything else,John, you want to mention, and
again before but if you say anything, John, give me a second.
I want to thank everybody for tuningin tonight. I appreciate it. Again,
we haven't been on the air inthe while. I wasn't going to
actually do this particular show again. If you saw my intro, you know,

(01:48:44):
I lost my aunt last Friday. She passed away very suddenly. It
was just this tragic, such circumstances. And then again my grandmother who that
was her daughter that she lost,That was the third child that she's lost
in ten years. She's ninety yearsold. Now one of those other children
was my dad. Okay, cancer, So it's been really tough just all

(01:49:04):
the way around. And then againI don't know what's going on with my
sore throat, but it's just gettingworse. And then, like I said,
my co host Jordan wasn't able tomake it. He was able to
message in on the message or soshout out to Jordan for that. And
again thanks for John for calling inand helping out a little bit getting me
through this show. But thanks foreverybody watching, and just wanted to throw
that out there. Make sure yougo IMT and Worldwide Radio dot com click

(01:49:27):
on it, make sure you subscribeall of those who watched. If you
liked anything that you've heard, subscribewatch the other shows. I mean,
we've had great shows over the years. Four plus years now. Dominique Wilkins
been on the show, John Collinsbeen on the show, Bob Rathman,
Steve Holman, Jerome Jurnovitch, RashadPhillips, who had his book out right
now talking about all the New Ageand this as far as position players in

(01:49:48):
the NBA and things of that nature. He's been on the show. We've
had a lot. We've had Angelmccatreo on the show from w NBA Atlanta
Dream. We've had Nicki Collins whohad one Coach of the Year with the
Aleyna Dream. We had the teampresident of the alyn A Dream on,
Teresa Winstle on the on the show. So we've had a whole bunch of
people on the show over the years. Was going to continue to get more

(01:50:09):
people, like I said, lately, it's just been tough scheduling things of
that nature. So just one ofthe faith quick shout out in case I
forgot Thank y'all for you know, checking us out around the atl for all
this time and everything. But John, back to you again, sir um
last words before we get off theshow for tonight. Well, I wanted

(01:50:30):
to be sure to again express myheartfelt condolences and the losses and shoes suffered
and uh, you know, believein the resurrection, hope they will be
back, and you know for allof those who suffer, and which is
you know just about all of us, hey man, just keep that resurrection
hoping mad and be there to meetthem when they come back. Um.

(01:50:53):
As far as the Hawks are concern, hey, man, we will see.
Like Captain I can say, meand Jordan are talking about you know,
you know, season tickets, youknow and everything. I'm gonna see
if I can pull it off againfor the second row, year of the
row. Like I said, justthis is tough. You know, some
of those games, I was like, I really don't want to watch that

(01:51:15):
team. And this year, Idon't think they're gonna let me pick the
teams. But last year they letme pick what teams I wanted to see
because I was like, I'm notpaying a ten ticket package to watch the
Wizards. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not gonna do it. Okay,
so I need to pick the goodgames if I'm gonna come up all
the way up, you know, two hours there, two hours back,
and you know, I gotta wegotta make that happen. So we're gonna

(01:51:36):
see. But um, like Isaid, I've been a fan forever.
I feel the team is gonna winchampionship. I'm not going to just give
up on the team and think they'renot gonna win. That's what a lot
of people have done. Unfortunately,I mean, I got said, some
of you are not gonna feel thesame way. The rest of us will
feel on Peachtree Street when that paradeis happening, because you gave up after
the sixty win team loss, afterDonanique got trade it right after Al Horford

(01:52:02):
ain't here no more. See yousee what I'm saying. So think about
that, think about that, andyou know you gotta look at it all
the way through. You know, the my Hawks may not ever win a
championship, but I'm gonna be therewhen they do for sure. Right So
that things said again one more time, y'all make sure y'all subscribe to the
