Speaker 1 (00:02):
I guess it's time from my infamous or is it famous?
Five random questions. I'm James Lodging, of course here on
JJ Media, and I have author Bruce Fleming. How you
doing good? How are you? Thank you for having me pleasure?
So we hear his new books. We can see it.
If you're watching, it's called pressing matters. Now, if you're
not watching, it's called pressing matters, it's not going to
(00:22):
get it. So we're gonna talk about that in another show.
But you're agreed to do my five random questions, we'll
get to know him a little bit, just kind of.
I'm asking him as you as you will know at home.
I ask four random questions. The fifth question I ask everybody, So, Bruce,
are you ready? Sure? My phone is off, so sign it? Okay.
Number one, Bruce Fleming? What is your go to snack food? Anything? Chocolate? Really?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Unfortunately?
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Fortunately? Fortunately fortunately?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, Eminem's for sure.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Now, now do you like them with nuts or without nuts? Without? Oh? Okay,
very good. That's a big discussion out there apparently in
the candy world. Number two, what is one thing about
Maine that most folks who've never been like myself will
be surprised to hear.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Most people think of Maine as being kind of woods
area and not a lot, but if you get to
the southern part of me, it's pretty urban and pretty large.
Especially the Portland area is turning into kind of a
mini Boston. So yeah, it's I mean, you have the
totally two different aspects. Northern Maine is definitely the woodsy
area where it's very remote, but the southern half is,
(01:41):
you know, very city.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Like Oh, I said, you know that, I idea. I
just know that Stephen King's from Maine and he writes
all his freight. That's all I know. Number three, if
you're going on a road trip, leaving Maine and going
to somewhere else on a road trip, is one musical
artist has to be on the playlist.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Oh, anyone that knows me gets pretty much either Kelly
Clarkson or Miranda Lambert.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, I like that, two good choices, like Branda and
I love Kelly. Of course, we love Kelly.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Depends on if I want country or not.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Hey Kelly, Well, Kelly, Well, she's mostly pop, but she's
done some things here. Yes, and I was very good.
And number four is there an author that you read
one of their books that changed your life.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Well, as you mentioned, Stephen King obviously was a big
interest for me because I I've actually lived in Bangor
for a while for about fifteen years. It was before
he moved to Florida, so he was in the area,
but just growing up. Of course, he's kind of like
the myth around here for as authors go. So yeah,
getting into him early on and then just realizing enjoying
his stories and thinking, well, maybe I could do that
(02:56):
because I like to be creative and come up with
different things as well. So would say Stephen King very good.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
And the last question I asked him of everyone, it's
either or Bruce or the other. Bruce Fleming, apples are oranges?
Speaker 2 (03:15):
I would say, apples?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Do they granges? And it main No, not that I'm
aware of, I think. So. Uh. The book is called
Pressing Matters. Run don't want to go get it. We're
gonna talk more about it audio between the pages. Check
us out over the are
