Speaker 1 (00:00):
Old. Hey everyone, this is Noo.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's your boy, Funky, the coolest teen rapper online. What's up?
It's me ALFI. You're listening to the Cool Table with a.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Listening to the You're listening to the Cool Table.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
You're listening to the Cool Table. And I'm not sure
if you know this, but right now you're in the
cut with my man, Adriel Smile. Good morning, good afternoon,
good evening, and good night. My name is Adril Smiley
aka Agelsmiley dot com aka Agril Smiley Official aka the Godfather.
Now Here in the cut, we challenged our guest to
(00:34):
finish a tub of ice cream before the end of
the conversation. Someone returning to the show maybe the longest
episode and in the cut history. I haven't checked the
stats on that, but I feel like that's pretty pretty
accurate part of the show, Tief Fanny.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
It was the weirdest one and the longest one.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
One of the two, at least at least one of
the two. Okay, yeah, welcome back, welcome back. The first
tie is good enough that you've got brought back. So
even though it was extra long, it's like it wasn't
the worst thing in the world's good. Okay. I like that.
I like that we took to the interwebs to get
to get some questions off. Yeah, because I feel like
(01:11):
I'm not as messy as the people are. I feel
like the people are pretty messy. They want the quote
unquote tea, Yeah me, I'm actually going to ask you
about the music. But we're gonna put that to the
to the to bed for now. Okay, We're actually gonna
get to some real, real questions.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
I'm not nervous.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Oh my goodness, this one I feel like is very
very instigator type vibes. We're not gonna name names, okay,
but one of the comments said, would there be any
artists you'd have a battle beef with in person over
tracks in a friendly way? Let's let's make that safer, okay,
And let's say, who do you think is good enough
(01:49):
for you to be? Like, who's on your on your
level lyrically? You know that would be that would be
you know, worth it in that sense?
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Who is on my level lyrically? That's that's it's like
a more hot water question. You said, you can make
it easier im.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Because you wouldn't be for someone beneath you. You know,
if someone can't really spit, then you're they're probably not
worth and then putting any tracks towards you know. So
it had to be someone at a certain level that
you're like, Okay, I can send some bars your way.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
I think I would do my big Brokay. Yeah, it
would be a battle, because I think that that would
be an epic battle. And he always every time we collab,
he always pushes me and I get my best versus.
So I'm going to be selfish and say.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
That's not something I actually want to see. I feel
i'd be more heartbreaking than anything. But I see where
you're headed with it.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
I'm breaking for who I don't want to.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I break it for me, Like, yeah, you don't want
to see mom and dad fight, like.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
But it would be friendly. So it would be like,
you know, we're battling, but it's like a friendly battle,
Like I.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Don't know, I don't know where you weren't twenty twenty four,
But friendly don't exist in the battle.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
What do you mean that's that's kid Drake and Kendrick.
That's a friendly battle.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I listened to Euphoria on the StairMaster this morning. Not
a friendly battle, Not a friendly battle. What's your favorite
way to be inspired to create? I think this is
an interesting one because you would take this as many
different directions of what that means. But when I comes
to mind for you, it's your favorite way to be
inspired to create?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
My favorite way. Oh my gosh, I'm not even eating
this my favorite way to be inspired to create? Oh
what kind of question? Okay, my favorite way?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah? Your okay, there you go. Yeah, do you want
to expand on that share with the class?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Because it's the easiest anger. Anger fuels the easiest lyricism,
like saying, yeah, if I'm angry about something, that verse
or song will like be like twenty to twenty five minutes.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
But will it come out angry? Like will it be
eminem cleaning out of my closet? Or have you written
out stuff that's not angry when you are angry? No?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
I like I can write other stuff when I'm angry,
so it's not like pure anger. But like, if I
want to channel it, then it's it's definitely anger and
it's easier. And then usually I have to go back
and like make sure that it doesn't specifically sound like
a certain person so that it's more generous.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
So it's not naming.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Names, yes, and then it just sounds like a song.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Have people ever known it's them? Because I know when
bars are about me? So do people know when it's
bars about them? Who you heard back from any of
those people?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I feel like it's more so like if the shoe.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Fits, oh you're not, so you won't confirm. You'll just
let them kind of stew in it.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
If I want to affirm with that person.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Okay, So if they come to you when they say
I think this bar is about me, you'll be like
that right, it was.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Okay, usually before it even comes out.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Okay, that's respectable. I was saying that run from the
smoke where you're even taking a step up and being like,
by the way, yeah you shut I hear you.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
You inspired this?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Interesting?
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Interesting?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
And if you want to do something with your life
about it? Because I'm a virgo, so I'm probably not
wrong about it.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
My mom's a virgo, so I to agree with you. Okay, yeah, facts, yeah, yeah.
I think That's the most iffy thing to me is
I feel I feel for people who date musicians because
I'm like, if you end up in a bar, like,
how do you how do you because I've ended up
in lyrics that the person didn't didn't come to me
and tell me. You know, I just read the song
(05:37):
after and I was like, ah right, we talked about
that like eight days ago.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah. So I think that that's probably reason number thirty
four why I'm still single forever is because I do
consider myself like, and I'll say it live on stage,
like I could be the Taylor Swift of hip hop
because if we date, I'm a rite about it, whether
I like it or not, and whether you like it
or not.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
But it's twenty twenty five. That could be someone's kink,
Like you could be, you know, blocking your blessings. I
think that's a problem. There could be.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Well then if they like it, then yeah, come holla.
This ring is just for me, Like come holler.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
There you go, do it for the plot, like.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
You know, if that's if that's what you're into. I
got you. You want me to write about you, I got.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
You this this question. I'm actually gonna ask you two
ways because we talked about this a little bit before
we started recording about dating. Do you have a celebrity crush?
I don't know if you even ask you that, Like
I don't know where celebrity.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Everybody have a celebrity question.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I just got celebrity rushes. A couple of years ago,
I met a celebrity crush game. I went like years
without halving one. So now I'm thank thank thank you
so much. But now now I'm back in a celebrity
crush game. But who's your celebrity crush or you have
a top three?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Like Tana? Okay, yeah, Taylor, I don't know. That's pretty
much it. I'm obsessed with Taana Taylor.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Okay, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Okay, yeah, like I'm also obsessed with Nikki still, but
I would.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Touch her Okay, yeah, I just your body, your choice, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Not my body, not my choice body.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
All right, I'm thinking of what your laid down. I
actually have a brand new one. This one is probably
like not even two months old, Palmer. I always slept
on her and I love some hot jokes, so seeing
her get her funny on, I'm like, you kick it.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
So Kiki has had a sick glow up, oh big time.
I appreciate her ex so much, like you don't even
know he woke her up.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
We can't get him too much credit, but definitely she
did have a big glow up, so yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Sometimes you need a slap to get woken up.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
And like she I don't co sign that message.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
It's okay, yeah, I mean yeah, for sure, it's all
her for sure.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
For sure. Whatever I'm screaming and you can't seeing a
te Fanny metal collab in the future.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Oh, I'd love that. I would actually love that.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
I could see it, Like this's not metal, but like
when Buster Rhymes and Lincoln Park did a song together,
or even Closion course with Ja like that rock rap era.
It's funny. At the time, I loved it, and then
I kind of grew away from it after a while. Yeah,
why listen back to those songs. I'm like, we got
to bring that back. I'm not going to hold you.
There's something to that.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Like, I would love it. I would honestly. I'm trying
to collab with like a punk band right now, Orange
and then I've done like soft rock or alternative rock.
I don't know what that is. Yeah, okay, but yeah,
I would love to to just like scream rap if
that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Yeah, yeah, brings up bring back the rock rap because
you know what I think made it uncool quote unquote
is like when Aerosmith and run DMC did it, at
least my generation was kind of like, that's a little corny,
like you know what I mean. And then when jay
Z and Lincoln Park brought it together, it was good,
but it felt inauthentic because I don't think if people
believe that jay Z really listened to awkward.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, and it was pop ish, like it was like infused.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah, it wasn't true medley of the two. Yeah. Yeah.
So I think now there's enough you know, artists growing
up who grew up with rock and rap together, then
they can probably do a good mix of those.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Fred Perry, I don't know what that is. Yeah, I know,
my bad. But she's a up and coming artist from Montreal. Okay,
her genre, I would feel like like she does a
lot of like scream rap. I would say, like it's
really cool and she has like the knots. Then it's
like alternative stuff like she's like so not sexy, like
just stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Okay, so you're putting me on.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Okay, yeah yeah, Fred Perry.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, I actually now that you're bringing up I want
to hear boor of that because the example I think
of is fan of Gram and Big Boy their album together,
but that's not that's more sat for It's fire big Boy.
All all Big Boy soul albums are fire, but it's
more sauce. Like it's still rap and kind of like
indie ROCKI ish, but like a harder sound. I think
(10:00):
would be something.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
I want to do it.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Will we ever get a hershey T show? I like
the segway, Are we getting that?
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Oh my gosh, Hersheyt just came out of her coma
mm hmm tell us about it. She needs some time,
but I don't know. I think I think by the
end of this year there'll be a hershey Tea show, okay, okay,
and I'll probably do like all the songs, but trusey.
(10:34):
I've never learned any of Hersheyt's music. I don't know
any of it. Like I can't rehearse a whole song
to you right now, so it would be.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Work spiritual mm hmm. So what brought her out of retirement? Like,
I think that's what we really want to know, you
know what.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I don't know how explicit we can get, but like
I thought it would be like physical, something that would
get me out of it.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
But it wasn't okay.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
It was a beat and the way that this beat.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Was make you feel things.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yeah, I was like, yo, this needs to be a
Hershey Tea, like yeah, and I even like started off
the song with like Tea Fanny and then I like
cut it and I was like nah, wait and then
I went just like straight dirty because Hershey Tea is
like the alter ego. She does the more freaky stuff
so that my dad knows not to click. Yeah, but
(11:27):
because it's the outlet, it's like an extreme, so it's
very nasty.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yeah. I think people would want to see that show.
I think that's something that people are If I.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Do it, it would be like one of the because I
do burlette shows sometimes, like as a musical guest. Yeah,
so I think in that setting or like yeah, either
a burlesque or a cabaret show.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, yeah, that fits. And it's funny you have the
two separated. I've alway thought that's very commendable of you.
Most people will not do something like that.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Dad's military, Yeah, no.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
My dad's pastor so I'm picking up with Charlean now.
But I think that's kind of the way you can
tell what kind of person someone is because if someone
says they're a fan of Hershey team more than te Fanny,
it's like, oh you nasty.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Hm, let me give you the only fans. No, I'm judging.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
We don't judge.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Here.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
We listen, but we don't judge.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
I judge. I don't care. In my head, I'm judging.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
And that's okay, all right, you can judge, not for
the both of us.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Okay, yeah, I got you.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
I'll never judge. Let's see it. I want to talk
about your last album because I guess it came out
after we spoke, like right after we spoke.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
No, I think I think I lied about the date
last time we spoke because I feel like it was
like a year and a half ago.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah, but I don't I don't think it was out.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
No, it wasn't out yet. But I think my plan
was to have it out like right away.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah it was. It came out a little bit a
little bit after then. Yeah, but it definitely hasn't you know,
been that long since it's been.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Out, no, September.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Yeah, how do you How do you feel about it
about it now? Because it's it hasn't been that long,
but it's got enough time where it's like people have
heard it kind of got some time to live with it.
How do you feel about it now that it's actually
been out for a few months.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
I'm I'm super excited about it. I feel like we've
been working on this for so long.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
And that's basically a clop album.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
This is like, yeah, it's like Vultronto.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
No Drake train one Savage Like, no, he didn't.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Oh, I would have felt better if he was a
party next door. That's fine.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Which one are you over? Your party next door?
Speaker 1 (13:33):
I don't even know.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
I don't know which one I would be. I'm not
like a huge fan anyway. We won''t talk of that album.
But but my album, yeah, I uh, it took a minute.
And I like the fact that people are like still
talking about it, which is kind of cool. I wasn't
sure about how the rollout or their marketing would be,
and like, you know, is it going to be one
(13:56):
of those ones where like it comes out and then
like a month later, nobody's talking about it. But it
seems pretty cool, Like I'm still getting stuff from it.
I'm still pushing it, and the goal is to do
like a remix of the whole album, or at least
most of it with like all Alberta artists, mostly Calgary
if I can, but yeah, mostly it'll be all Alberta.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
I think that is the one thing that we kind
of benefit from in Canada in a sense because we
are almost forced to do slower rollouts. I feel like
with American artists, it's like six months passing, you're like, okay,
I gotta drop something else. And I was talking to
someone the other day, I missed the old rollout where
like the album comes down in February and you kind
of like promo it, you know, for like eight months, yeah,
(14:39):
and then you promote the next album, you know. But
I feel like because of the Internet, it does feel
like it's so hard to do that. But in Canada
we're almost most forced into it. But I think it
helps with the quality music. People get to live with it.
It has more staying power. So I feel like it's
happening with your album, because again, what is it now?
We're almost March, like his three months is halfway done
so and people are still talking about the projects.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
It's just dope, and it's yeah, it was like six
months or something. My goal is to eat off of
it for two years. Okay, but saying that, I'm also
kind of dipping into both because I've dropped Lucy's with
no promo just to see, Yeah, I'm curious, So I
think we've dropped. I did like one random song. Two actually,
(15:25):
yeah so two since the album dropped. One was commissioned
by like Black Pride YYC. And then and then we
did the is Big video. And then I dropped like
a sped up version and a Catfish remix, which is
the jump off to the Alberta Remix project. Yeah, so
even since the album, yeah, I'm still dropping like little Random,
(15:49):
but I'm just not promoting it as much as I'm
trying to promote the album, if that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
I want to talk about your recost one Wall. Yeah,
but I want you to do your manifesting here on
the show. We want to get all the energy we
can here at this table. I know you had some
awards you want to win, some accolades you want, so
while we're here at this table, we can be a
part of this. We want to get your manifest on
any awards you want, any accolades you want for this project.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah, I'm going to be considered for the Players Prize,
and I'm going to be nominated and considered for Juno's
next year twenty twenty six, the YSC Music Awards. It's
(16:33):
the ten year anniversary, so okay, yeah, running that too,
and also the Black was it the Black Excellence Awards, Okay,
because there hasn't been an Alberta artist yet period, so
that's going to be I'm going to be the first
Alberta artist. I'm considered for that as well.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
I look forward to voting for you and all those
awards that I do vote for.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
That's voting.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Yeah, So look, I look forward to seeing your name
and having my heart be warm. This past Juno's I
had a bunch of moments like that where I saw
like I have friends of the industry I have you're
a part of it. Yeah, I would have. I would
have for for a couple of years now. But seeing
like friends, I haven't an issue either like it's a
new label they started themselves or you know, a new
album and you get to see their name and it's
(17:22):
just like I felt happy for them. So I look
forward to having that for you in a few months.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I feel like it's still like you know, it's it's
cool to be still in those circles, Like even if
you don't get nominated, you now have forced these people
to listen to your album, and like that's really cool
to you.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
And it is almost in a sense of like choosing
not to nominate you, which that's that's almost a power
in itself, is like, Okay, my album has done enough work.
I'm here enough where clearly you know my album is
here and you chose not to nominate it more than
maybe back in the day, and you're thinking, have they
even heard the project? Is it making enough waves? Like
now were the point is like I know you heard this,
(18:05):
So if you don't nominate me and I know what it.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Is, so or maybe I just need to work harder.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
That's that's great. That's a great way to look at it.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah, like that's it. I always tell people, like, don't
share my music if you don't like it, because.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I would never say that.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Yeah, I don't want no fake love, Like I'm obsessed
with my album already. I know it's good. So like
if you don't like it, that's your personal preference. And
when you do share it, then that also helps with
my marketing because I know I made something that's your
style that you like and obviously you're not the only one.
There's a whole market there. Yeah, so it's like I
don't want the fake love.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
But I don't think you're getting that. I think it's
like the quality of the project, Like I think that's
the actual Like really do I feel like that with
the project where I'm like people are actually shaking this
because they like it, Like I actually feel like that
way you're probably I can tell.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
You liked it from how you wrote about it.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Oh for sure.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Yeah, I was telling earlier. I was like, Adriel really
liked the albums.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
It still almost throws me offinitly because and I says,
we'll talk about it later with both of you guys.
But you have this thing where like you can really
be spitting, but it's not like someone's spinning at you.
I can still ride to this, you know. And I
always feel like that is always the like in between
of like can I feel like, oh, this person is
really rapping here? But can I play this in the car,
(19:22):
you know, and just driving around to this because we
don't We're not always going to be driving around to
eighty eight bars, Like that's not always going to be
the vibe. So the fact that you didn't sacrifice that
on like so many, so many songs where it's like
I'm just vibe into it and then maybe third verse,
second verse, I'm like, oh, she's spitting. It's like, that's
more the compliment, you know that I didn't come in
(19:42):
being like because that's the only thing you can nail
about about an album. I feel like that's almost not
a compliment in the same way, yeah, because the art
is more than like they can sing or they can rap,
you know, there is supposed to be something artistic to it.
So I didn't like that originally. I would say last
year when I saw a lot of people say that
about you, and I was like, you're to say, you know,
like the song, you know what I mean, Like it's
(20:03):
all you're saying and she can rap. It's like there's more.
It's a song good, like you know.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Make a song. Yeah, And that's It's one of my goals,
is like just trying to make a song as opposed
to like just being able to rap.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah. Yeah, I think that's important.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, She's definitely something that I've been working on.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Well, Well on your way, Well on your Way. Stone
Wall recovery first drug recovery center in Canada for a
queer community.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, I'm very excited about that because compared to like
places like la and Atlanta, they have like six seven. Yes,
there's more people, but it's like one city and we
have one in the whole country, which.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Is kind of wild. When you when you told me
that I'm not gonna lie, I had to make sure
you wasn't to play. I said, let me look at these,
make sure this is right, because it didn't make sense
to me. I said, it's not like they're in outside. Yeah,
so it's like that's almost seems to gat like a choice. Yeah,
there's only one in Canada, because that doesn't make sense
to me.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah, there's only one. And I think the past two
years that they've done this, like Gala, they've had drag
performers only as the entertainment. So this is the first
year that they have musical performances. Wow.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
History.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, and they're pulling out all the stops so we'll
see we get like styled and stuff. We got dancers,
we got pole dancers. It's going to be a cool,
a cool little show. Yeah, and we have like a
collective thing going on again, it's at BMO Center. I'd
pull up to that, yeah, but sorry, it's in more
(21:33):
consistent Calgary.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
So yeah, but the Calgary listeners.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
You guys come, we're doing the after party.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
You know it's going to be fun. I want to
say too, Like anyone hasn't hasn't been to a drag show.
They're way more fun than you think. Gosh, way more
fun than you think. I went to one by accident.
When I was in Victoria. I was looking for somewhere
to eat, like mybnb was raining, you know, Victoria. Yeah,
so let me find somewhere to eat. I go sit
down tail by myself. I break my food out and
(22:05):
young homie comes out and singing, and I'm like and
then he like walked over to my tables like I
was like, IM not expecting that, no, and I had
no idea. I look at the crowd. I'm like, I'm
in my own world, man crazy, And I just sat
in the corner like like on some mafias, like sat
in the corner with my food. And then I look
(22:26):
up and I'm like, I can't already got my food.
I can't leave now you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Like, now you're obsessed with like me.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I'm not going to go that far. But they were
definitely doing their thing though, like it definitely like I was.
It was fun. It was fun. I was like, all right,
I want to kay on my own. But I'm like,
it's funny that I came by accident.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
And you got to experience it. I mean, that's cool
that you at least got to experience it, because some
people like won't even some people would have walked out.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
And and I went to Pride last year and I
had like a superhero drag show that was crazy, crazy.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
I can't imagine because honestly, those outfits.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
They were, they were going stupid for sure, they were going.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
The first time I did a drag brunch, I thought,
even though I was only the musical guest, I thought
it would be cool if I also did drag okay, okay,
so you know, like the famous Nicki Minaj. Of course
it's Nikki, yes, Nicki Minaj with like the jeans and
the pink skull patch and the black hair with the
pink So I got like a wig and I put
(23:26):
it over my locks and like I did any bitty
piggy with the whole outfit, like appreciate. Yeah, in front
of a crowd where I was a token, it was.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
They were they what you want? Any bit picky or
they had no clue.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
I think that they appreciated.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
The talent, or they didn't have no clue.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
But yeah, I was very naive too, like I was new.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
You thought they would have known a classic when they heard. Yeah,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
This is a famous Nikki song, but like it's not
a famous Nikki song to everybody.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I know what you mean. I've been somewhere. I think
they bought the swag surf. Ain't nobody swagsif and I'm
by myself, so I know exactly what you mean. All right,
this this is our last one before we switch over
on time today. Let's see what you got with the
ice cream? How far are we?
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Why do you need to see it?
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Okay, we did better this time. I need I did
better this time.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Yeah, I'm struggling.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Last time, you almost had two ice creams.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
You know why though, because I cheated and I just
did vanilla because I.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Knew it would be easy.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
But now I'm like, oh, there's bits and pieces now
like content.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, this is the last one. And
I wonder if your answer has changed. But you know,
we had the segment in the radio show called Wednesday
Wisdom looking for a quote or say either your remind
yourself of or the people around you. Is there a
quote for you the climate always runs through your head
or you tell people around you.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I don't even remember what I said last time. Maybe
I'll just go with Patience is something you strive for,
not attain. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I like that. I like that.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
I mean patients. Whoops, I misquoted my and so hold on.
Perfection is something you strive for, not a tained.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
I was gonna say progress not perfection.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Yes, progress not perfection. But like, patience works really well too,
I might just.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yeah, patience is good too.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Yeah, I might just work. I might just change it.
But yeah, perfection is something you strive for, not attained.
So like you're always working to try and better yourself.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
I like that. I like that. I want to thank
everyone for watching this episode of the Cool Table. In
the cut, I want to say, you did as she
scarves it down for all the audio listeners, you did
it much better this time, even though you had less
ice cream. Yeah, brain freeze on the way, But I
think you did a good job. All of our ice
(25:40):

Apple Pie is a flavor of choice today and what
