Monday Night Raw after Night of Champions. This was it
was a different start time at six o'clock, so we
were kind of watching it as we were sitting there
and playing some Mario Kart World. What was some of

your highlights personally from this past Monday Night Roll.

I gotta say first of all that that crowd wasn't
into it. But I mean, we're getting EO Sky versus
Rea Ripley again, which isn't really something I'm really excited
to see, but I just know it's gonna be a
good match. The Judgment Day won back the titles from

the New Day. Bro. I love the New Day, but
their reign has been terrible, and as I would say,
thank God for the judgment day facts. Yeah, taking the
titles away, Russe even Seamus. What a match setting up
for Surrey Knights, main event for Seth Throngs and l

That was interesting and that was very interesting.

Show and they're really trying to push here for this
this evolution, which feels almost surreal a little bit that
we're doing it again, because I think the last one
was like twenty sixteen around there, so it's been such
a long time since we've done and the fate, like
the whole women's division is completely different than it was

back when they did the first evolution, and now they're
doing the second one. We're looks like we're getting Real
Ripley versus EO Sky for the Women's Championship, which I think,
like you said, we've seen it, it's been done. It's
a WrestleMania caliber match that they're putting to make evolution
feel important.

It's gonna be a good match no matter how much
you slice it.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
But we've run into the issue where it seems like
Real Ripley's only direction is to be in the title picture.
And then they've cooled Eo off quite a bit because
before Monday, I think the last three weeks before that,
we saw her a total of less than ten minute
screen time, so they've cooled her off quite a bit.

I don't know if that's intentional or if it's just
the writing of the show, but we're seeing that match happen.

direction of EO Sky and Rhea Ripley.

First of all, I mean after WrestleMania forty one, I
thought they had a good thing with Leo. They gave
her a match against Stephanie Vakkerra and the rofter WrestleMania
that was a banger of a match got blown up
by Julian Roxan Prez. They never really explored explored that
idea of rock or excuse me, Stephanie Vacier versus EO

Sky too much, especially when Stephanie Vaker is now on
the main roster.

And where's she been.

I she had a promo on advertisement.

I think, okay, well, I mean I want to see
your wrestlers. She's a great wrestler.

has a caliber to be a great champion. I mean
the first reign that we saw when she catched in
and won the title, I think that was a good rain.
She had a good length of rain. I just think

the thing is, it feels like the title she's just
warming up the title for Ria, because pretty much every
storyline she's even had has been with Riha, or even
anytime she comes out it's because it's only because somebody
challenges her, which I mean, obviously she's a champion, but

I want to see her have a match for the title.

Yeah, yeah, it's it's as far as where they're at
with you.

Oh, it's interesting because I do feel like they're going
to because they're gonna make it. They're gonna want to
make Evolution memorable, right Like they're gonna want to make
a memorable moment. And I think honestly with the way
they've cooled her off and and just kind of the
direction because after that, after you get done with this
Saturday night main event and Evolution, the next focus is

gonna be Summer Slam. SummerSlam is one of your A
plus pay per views. You know, people consider it to
be behind WrestleMania, you know, as far as one of
the biggest shows of the year. So you're gonna want
to have a big, big match, a main event caliber,
top main stream. That's the keyword here, ladies and gentlemen.
Mainstream match. You know, so who are you gonna want

representing the championship or being in the match, or being
in that match going into it as champion? Is eo
Sky or Rear Ripley And I say that the mainstream
purposes as we're moving into one of their more mainstream events, SummerSlam,
right right.

I mean, honestly, I I love the idea of Eosky
versus Oscar. Yeah, but even if Rear wins the title,
I don't even know where you go, do you? Just
because Ria is in a position where, let's say she
does win the title, then she only has two weeks

or whatever it is to build up a new feud
for the title at SummerSlam. I think it would just
be beneficiary to just have Eosky retain. You could even
have like Raquel or rock shand Costria or whatever continue
that feud. I just don't think it. The landscape of raw,

the woman's division of raw, A lot of the main
events are in the mid card right now. Because you
got Bailey, you got Becky Lynch.

Other and then obviously Lyra, and I think that's I
think it's gonna be Becky versus Lyra versus Bailey evolution.
But then you're in a position where liv Morgan's hurt. Yeah,

a tag champ and she already hasn't match of Evolution,
And I don't know if they're gonna defend a woman's

tag team titles that SummerSlam. So the raw woman's division
is looking kind of just it just looks like it's
just E Sky and rear Ripley competing for the title
right now.

I mean yeah, because everybody else is doing other things.
Like you said, it's that they're busy that they're trying
to establish the Women's Intercontinental Championship by having, you know,
perennial women's main inventors fight for it all. At the
same time, what trying to build up Lyra Valcarria because

position Lyra val Karia as a main player. I see
them getting integrated, Like Lyra Valkarria is now integrated into
storylines with Bailey and Becky Lynch, and now you have
Roxanne Perez who's integrated into storylines as a now you know,
confirmed member of the Judgment Day and Women's Tag Team champion,

Like we're seeing Julia who's now the women's United States Champion.
We're seeing the women's division like they're trying to build things.
I think that's where it's at now that I'm really
formulating the idea. It's they're trying to re establish and
rebuild the women's division, build up women that can be
ready to be in those championship situations, because Stephanie Vikuier

is not ready, Roxanne Perez is not ready, Lyra Valkerie
is not ready, you know, and you you still have
you still have Jade who who has now got her opportunity.

It feels like the women's division as a whole is
going through a rebuild right now.

one with the least charisma and they're like, we're putting

to get her to try to see if she's ready,

if she can talk like how Chad Gable can talk
with like the rest, like the Creeds. If she can
talk like the Creeds or Chad Gable, I think she'll
be in a prime position for a woman's Icy title.

little bit about the Women's Tag Team Championship. Let's talk
about the new World Tag Team Champions and Finn Balor
and JD mcdonna of the Judgment Day.

That match was fire. I enjoyed it every bit of
the way. Maybe this is just I.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Think I came out of that match thinking because there's
always so much like for me personally, noise around Finn Balor,
because Finn Balor is one of those guys that's considered
one of the best overall wrestlers with the company he's great.
He was the first ever Universal Champion before injury and

didn't having a relinquishit and probably just completely changing the
pace of his career. I mean, that was one of
the biggest what ifs and professional wrestling in my mind
is how his first title reign as Universal Champion would
have went.

But we can't think about the wet IFFs. We can
only talk about the right now.

And right now, it looks like that Finn Baaler could
be just one of those guys that's you know, could
be an upper mid card guy, but he's just doing
his thing in the tag team division, and like, well,
I think it's time to start having a discussion that
Finn Baaler could be, you know, just a really a
really turned up tag team guy. You know, it's and

I'm not saying that in a bad way. I'm just saying,
we just saw win the titles. I love the tag
team cohesion between him and JD. I think this is
really a shot in the arm that was needed in
the raw tag team division just because the New Day's
reign just and and I love the New Day, huge
fan of the New Day, but it just I don't

know where they were trying to go with it after
the Big Ee He'll Turn. I mean, they had an
opportunity at WrestleMania to either have Big E cost them
the championships and get their come up ins for turning
on him the way that they did, or help him
help them win the titles and solidifying that he would
be their heel, you know, manager there and move forward

with that. But we didn't see any of that. We
saw nothing like it just seems like you did all
that and that was like for me, the second Biggest
He'll Turn behind Sena and just nothing from it. So
it was good to see the titles come off of them.
Hopefully they can figure something else out because this didn't work.
But what did you think about the whole match, the

whole situation. Judgment Day New Tag Team Champions.

Man, I love that Judgment Day is a title or
as a champions, but I do have one like, I
think it's one limit question where do they go from him?
It's because the raw tag team division is kind of
it's just New Day Judgment Day.

do you need tag team titles on Monday Night Raw?

at once again Judgment Day tag Team Champions? The direction

I'm not even sure because like they're teasing this. Ben
Valor turned on Dominico Masterio maybe going for the IC
title a SummerSlam. But now that he's a now that
he's won half of the World Tag Team champions, how
do you get there? Because I mean, they're not gonna

not have the tag team titles at SummerSlam, so I
wonder if they lose to somebody. But also there's like
no babyfaced teams like on Smacked or on Raw, I
should say, because you have all the hel team except
for except for war Raiders, which we haven't even seen.

Creeds Hel, Judgment Day, Heal four Heal tag teams all
competing for the same title, and you can't have He'll
versus Hell here, He'll versus Hell, Hell versus Hill like

Area was SmackDown Champion or whatever, or Women's World or whatever.

Yeah, Damien was World Heavyweight then then left Morgan Camp
to into the mix. Judgment Day was the Tag Team Champions,
Don's now the Icy Champion Live was a Women's World Champion,

Tag Team Champions on JD and Finn again, Women's Tag
on Rock Stand and Raquel. Now I see title on Dom.
This is like, I think the titles speak for themselves
and I think they are gonna go down as one
of the greatest actions. And honestly it's crazy to see

them even as a faction, because I feel like every year,
especially during the summer, or it's like, oh, the end
of Judgment Day.

They're about to break up.

Yeah, and they always come back stronger than ever. And
like you talk about the titles speak for themselves, and
I agree with that, but also you got to look
at the the talent it's developed, it's given Finn Ballad,
Finn Ballad, consistent TV time. We saw, we saw Damian
Priest become a guy out of it. We saw rear
Ripley become a girl out of a woman, a star,

you know, we you know, we've seen the development of
Dominic Mysterio. We've seen liv Morgan come into her own
and become a superstar. Raquel Rodriguez was able to find
a lane, and now they're using it as a tool
to try to develop Roxane Perez. I do believe that
that Judgment Day should be in the conversation is one
of the greatest factions.

And I think not only to mention the summer. The
summer of Judgment Day is real. They always get a
big storyline in the summer, like twenty twenty two that
was when they first started, Like, that's when they first
started the faction. That's when they started like developing into
a threat. Twenty twenty three, I think that's when they started.

That's when Finn and Damien won the tag team champions uh,
and then they started with Rhea, and then last year
Finn turned on Damien dom turned under, and then this year.
I don't know what it's gonna be, but I I
can only guess it's gonna be something big.

is doing their thing for sure, and uh, I believe
they're gonna keep doing their thing as the time it's

be halted for a little bit because it seems like
that they're here to stay, uh, and we're gonna be

think about it now, I see the vision and if

exactly how I see it. Is this the opportunity to
get Russev over, try to make him a guy. It
really felt like when they brought him in it was
a slow start, and it felt like it was like, oh,
they just want to get him because you know, they
just wanted to get him because they didn't want him
to go nowhere else.

But now after that, I more believe, especially with that
big victory over somebody that likes of Shamus and they
had the match quality that they had, I think they're

Yeah, and Rousselv is an interesting topic because even his
his debut was interesting. I mean, Devian during the tag
uh what was this? It was like a tag team segment.

And deserting everybody.

Yeah, and he just started bodying the Alpha Academy and
that's where he seems stuck for a minute. He seems
stuck with the Alpha Academy. And now Seamus saved the
Alpha Academy and now we're looking to better things at
the RUSEV. So I'm interested where we go with RUSEV.
Is it a mid card title? Is a mid card few?

Yeah, I think it's definitely too early to tell. I
would definitely love to see him in that intercaminal championship

wouldn't keep going back to a j if he wasn't
gonna eventually take it. So I think AJ is gonna
take the title off of him. And I think what
we could see is a really really good feud between
AJ Styles and Rousseph for the Intercondal Championship.

think about that, I like, right, I mean there was
a segment last night where AJ Styles confronted uh Dominic
and that and domb was like, I'm not clear and
he pulled out the doctors.

that's what I love dumb for. He's such a little
punk man like, he's just a punk like you just
kind of like fell into this Intercindo Championship because of
opportunity and now you're just being a little punk And

Yeah, and and j sided to take his title, literally
took it a couple of weeks back after a match,
so interested to see when and where they do it.
And I think it's gonna be a good match regardless.

here's the thing. Donindicque still can wrestle his ass off,
and I think him going up against somebody like AJ Styles,
the formula for that is going to be a really
really good one on one match.

And then if the direction is to get aj Styles
to kind of establish him as a great intercondo champion,
I think a feud with Russev would be so good.

right because I feel like he's literally just been battling

Ran would have been a good idea, but I don't
think it's delivered in the way it should have.

And as somebody who is a huge fan of the
Intercondo Champion, like I know both we are. I mean,

Intercondent Championship DVD and just watch Intercondent title matches like all.

Day and like that that's what we did.

So yeah, we both have a love for the Icy
title that that's very real and like, yeah, I just
want to see it in good situations. Like one of
the better situations was, of course the gun Through title run.
But man, I was so loving like that match between
Gunther and Seamus and Drew McIntyre triple threat for the

Icy title a few wrestlemys that felt like there's been
some great Icy title matches. Don't get me wrong, but
that almost felt like peak Icy title matching. Man, they're
just fond memories for the Icy title.

And speaking of Gunther's Icy Title rain, I know this
is a raw deal, but I think that over on SmackDown,
Julia is gonna have a similar rain. I think she's
gonna she's gonna totally reescape the land of the women's
US title rain. She's gonna have a long rain and
she's gonna have a dominant rain, and I think that's

gonna come like kind of I mean, I think she's
definitely gonna be the longest ragn in US champion. I
think that's the best way to present Julia. Then after
that they can do the gun Throughout, have her go
to the main event, do whatever she needs to do,
because Julia is such a good wrestler and she can
deliver with those vignettes, and she can even deliver with
backstage segments. I'm curious to see what they do with

like entering promos. But I mean summer for stuff with
NTE was even good, so I think there's definitely It's
not like it's not if Julia is a main eventor
it's just a matter of when. And I think a
matter of when depends on how dominant she is as

I think I was very happy to see Julia win
the US title. I think that's the perfect situation because

you ready to be in that spot? We're grooming you
to be in that spot. And that's always how it

some of the greatest interkind of champions of all time,

and Paul Hayman come out, which still there dynamic is

interesting to me. I think it still leaves some to
be desired, and I'm not gonna jump too much into that.
That could be for a different time. But he made
it clear that he wasn't there to cash in on
John Cena, him being Seth Rawlins, he wasn't there to
cashing on John Cena. He was just there to make
sure Seeing Punk did not win a championship because he

has no intentions for Seeing Punk to ever being champion.

As long as they're.

as he has a breath in his body, he will

Triple H loves ceth Owns, so I don't know if

a Triple H loves. I want to talk about guys
Triple H hates. And that seems to be carrying cross.
But the situation was interesting where he takes out Sammy

himself relevant in the feud was carrying a cross by

I think that's definitely a good rebuttal considering the kind
of booked carrying across the look weak in a way

of like anything. I mean, he had that chokehold, but

I think a big thing that he should have been
doing was talking because that's his entire character, trying to

get in his head, trying to lead Sammy to the
dark side. So I think there should have been more
of that. But you doing having him attack Sammy. It's
weird because I don't know. I mean, I know why
because he just lost, But like, is this leading to

a second match? Is leading to sam Zane actually gonna turn?

I mean, if they're gonna go to a second match,

look strong and not just lose clean like how he
did at Night the Champions. Definitely a good way for
Karen Cross to move in a direction of getting more

Like I think we're in the same boat as that,

I like the fact that they are trying to show

the delights of Becky Lynch where they're trying to present

position her to be in that conversation. Like I said,

I think what they've done because at the very start,

but how do we get Bailey and Lyra to go

of doing that and elevating Lyra to look strong because

had a match, it's always been a good match, and
I think that's the best way to present her. Just
keep having good match after a good match. And yeah,

they're also billing it at for the World heavyweight title.

for him to lose to Summer or lose it at

be the worst title or the shortest and most likely

their reign has been terrible, and as I would say,

back when they did the first evolution, and now they're
doing the second one. We're looks like we're getting Real
Ripley versus EO Sky for the Women's Championship, which I think,
like you said, we've seen it, it's been done. It's
a WrestleMania caliber match that they're putting to make evolution
feel important.

It's gonna be a good match no matter how much
you slice it.

But we've run into the issue where it seems like
Real Ripley's only direction is to be in the title picture.
And then they've cooled Eo off quite a bit because
before Monday, I think the last three weeks before that,
we saw her a total of less than ten minute
screen time, so they've cooled her off quite a bit.

I don't know if that's intentional or if it's just
the writing of the show, but we're seeing that match happen.

direction of EO Sky and Rhea Ripley.

thought they had a good thing with Leo. They gave
her a match against Stephanie Vakkerra and the rofter WrestleMania

by Julian Roxan Prez. They never really explored explored that
idea of rock or excuse me, Stephanie Vacier versus EO

Sky too much, especially when Stephanie Vaker is now on

warming up the title for Ria, because pretty much every
storyline she's even had has been with Riha, or even

they've cooled her off and and just kind of the
direction because after that, after you get done with this
Saturday night main event and Evolution, the next focus is

gonna be Summer Slam. SummerSlam is one of your A
plus pay per views. You know, people consider it to
be behind WrestleMania, you know, as far as one of
the biggest shows of the year. So you're gonna want
to have a big, big match, a main event caliber,
top main stream. That's the keyword here, ladies and gentlemen.
Mainstream match. You know, so who are you gonna want

representing the championship or being in the match, or being
in that match going into it as champion? Is eo
Sky or Rear Ripley And I say that the mainstream
purposes as we're moving into one of their more mainstream events, SummerSlam,

I mean, honestly, I I love the idea of Eosky
versus Oscar. Yeah, but even if Rear wins the title,
I don't even know where you go, do you? Just
because Ria is in a position where, let's say she
does win the title, then she only has two weeks

for the title at SummerSlam. I think it would just
be beneficiary to just have Eosky retain. You could even
have like Raquel or rock shand Costria or whatever continue

events are in the mid card right now. Because you
got Bailey, you got Becky Lynch.

is looking kind of just it just looks like it's

to establish the Women's Intercontinental Championship by having, you know,
perennial women's main inventors fight for it all. At the

them getting integrated, Like Lyra Valkarria is now integrated into
storylines with Bailey and Becky Lynch, and now you have

Like we're seeing Julia who's now the women's United States Champion.
We're seeing the women's division like they're trying to build things.
I think that's where it's at now that I'm really
formulating the idea. It's they're trying to re establish and
rebuild the women's division, build up women that can be

is not ready, Roxanne Perez is not ready, Lyra Valkerie
is not ready, you know, and you you still have
you still have Jade who who has now got her opportunity.

little bit about the Women's Tag Team Championship. Let's talk
about the new World Tag Team Champions and Finn Balor
and JD mcdonna of the Judgment Day.

That match was fire. I enjoyed it every bit of
the way. Maybe this is just I.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Think I came out of that match thinking because there's
always so much like for me personally, noise around Finn Balor,
because Finn Balor is one of those guys that's considered
one of the best overall wrestlers with the company he's great.
He was the first ever Universal Champion before injury and

didn't having a relinquishit and probably just completely changing the
pace of his career. I mean, that was one of
the biggest what ifs and professional wrestling in my mind
is how his first title reign as Universal Champion would
have went.

But we can't think about the wet IFFs. We can
only talk about the right now.

And right now, it looks like that Finn Baaler could
be just one of those guys that's you know, could
be an upper mid card guy, but he's just doing
his thing in the tag team division, and like, well,
I think it's time to start having a discussion that
Finn Baaler could be, you know, just a really a
really turned up tag team guy. You know, it's and

I'm not saying that in a bad way. I'm just saying,
we just saw win the titles. I love the tag
team cohesion between him and JD. I think this is
really a shot in the arm that was needed in
the raw tag team division just because the New Day's
reign just and and I love the New Day, huge
fan of the New Day, but it just I don't

know where they were trying to go with it after
the Big Ee He'll Turn. I mean, they had an
opportunity at WrestleMania to either have Big E cost them
the championships and get their come up ins for turning
on him the way that they did, or help him
help them win the titles and solidifying that he would
be their heel, you know, manager there and move forward

with that. But we didn't see any of that. We
saw nothing like it just seems like you did all
that and that was like for me, the second Biggest
He'll Turn behind Sena and just nothing from it. So
it was good to see the titles come off of them.
Hopefully they can figure something else out because this didn't work.

whole situation. Judgment Day New Tag Team Champions.

Man, I love that Judgment Day is a title or

Priest become a guy out of it. We saw rear
Ripley become a girl out of a woman, a star,

Dominic Mysterio. We've seen liv Morgan come into her own
and become a superstar. Raquel Rodriguez was able to find
a lane, and now they're using it as a tool
to try to develop Roxane Perez. I do believe that
that Judgment Day should be in the conversation is one
of the greatest factions.

summer of Judgment Day is real. They always get a

and then they started with Rhea, and then last year

get Russev over, try to make him a guy. It
really felt like when they brought him in it was
a slow start, and it felt like it was like, oh,

his debut was interesting. I mean, Devian during the tag

that's where he seems stuck for a minute. He seems
stuck with the Alpha Academy. And now Seamus saved the

So yeah, we both have a love for the Icy

want to see it in good situations. Like one of

some great Icy title matches. Don't get me wrong, but
that almost felt like peak Icy title matching. Man, they're

And speaking of Gunther's Icy Title rain, I know this
is a raw deal, but I think that over on SmackDown,
Julia is gonna have a similar rain. I think she's
gonna she's gonna totally reescape the land of the women's
US title rain. She's gonna have a long rain and
she's gonna have a dominant rain, and I think that's

gonna come like kind of I mean, I think she's
definitely gonna be the longest ragn in US champion. I
think that's the best way to present Julia. Then after
that they can do the gun Throughout, have her go
to the main event, do whatever she needs to do,
because Julia is such a good wrestler and she can
deliver with those vignettes, and she can even deliver with
backstage segments. I'm curious to see what they do with

like entering promos. But I mean summer for stuff with
NTE was even good, so I think there's definitely It's

matter of when depends on how dominant she is as

That could be for a different time. But he made
it clear that he wasn't there to cash in on
John Cena, him being Seth Rawlins, he wasn't there to
cashing on John Cena. He was just there to make
sure Seeing Punk did not win a championship because he

has no intentions for Seeing Punk to ever being champion.

doing was talking because that's his entire character, trying to

get in his head, trying to lead Sammy to the
dark side. So I think there should have been more
of that. But you doing having him attack Sammy. It's

But it was a good Monday Night Raw for sure.
We talked about everything, we broke it all down. It
was a really good episode. And man, we got a
lot of wrestling that's coming up that's cut right around
