Speaker 1 (00:00):
H grous got clouds.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
You don't smoke in the ail window.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Float in the town. We the cames out the streets.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Taking no hood of the town, and in windows day
ain't got clue we the window.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Let us make him move. Turn stout brack.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
That's how we ride by your crowd.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
We can't beat him.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Do in the town south.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Be holding town.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
We know we can send every town. Were great, lady,
were grating sound? Turn stun rout and how we keep down?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Oh, daddy shot him in the deck. Huh, that's not cool.
But if you don't shoot a guy in the.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Dick never gets old, never gets old. Hey, window liquors,
how are you doing? It's another Monday night draw preview
review show.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
And you know me.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
It's the voice Joshua Joseph, the host of the Shenanigan
you're about to see tonight. But I don't do it alone.
To bring some friends. We have Philadelphia's own top ten
most wanted. He has been known to abduct squirrels in
parks and force them.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
To fight, sometimes larger chipmunks.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Sometimes larger chipmunks. That's when it's a fixed fight. See,
some of you guys don't know this stuff. But he
is the blue eyed no weight classes, no weight classes.
He is Grundmeister. How are you doing our Philly beauty good?

Speaker 5 (01:50):
I wish you wouldn't talk about that. I don't make
any money.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Off of it, so forgot that it's illegal. It's illegal.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
It also it's mean something illegal that's also making no money.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
So I don't know. It feeds into your taxidermy business.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Yes, now that you're not supposed to talk about.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Ever, Oh fuck my bad, dude.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
There's a lot we can't talk about. Well, you heard
that chaos coming from the one, the only, Kevin Callaway.
He is the chaos goblin, and he is our professional
mind when it comes to wrestling. How are you guys doing?
How goes it?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
What's up after a long weekend of wrestling? I'm ready
to talk wrestling.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I bet you. I bet you are. Yeah, hey, Grin,
you know talking about your squirrel fighting. Did you see
in the news that there was a cock fighting ring
that got busted up in Mississippi? Okay, so, and it
was done by Ice. They they busted it, And I
was reading some of the comments and they were calling

(03:01):
Ice racist for taking the people who just have cock
fighting in their culture. So I replied, well, then Michael
Vick deserves some money because dog fighting is where where
he grew up. That's normal. So they hated me. They
did not like that, but I thought that was a
funny thing.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
I I just I just want the standard to be
kept the same. Okay, cock fighting is that good?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
No good? Hey, hey, there's one form animal fighting, but
it's only because it's animated and it's Pokemon Pokemon, except
Pokemon Pokemon is is legal.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
We can yeah, we can agree on that.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
So I like, if you got to get your jolly's
off with animal fighting, go to Pokemon. Come on, it's cooler.
You get the catchule dragons and ship. I'm saying this
is true. At least they can fight you with their
traders at any point. They couldn't murder.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
That they have a fighting chance. Yeah, I like it. Well,
I know we were hot on that talk, but we
got to cool down with some Saturday Night main event talk.
We're gonna lead up to what we enjoyed. So we're
gonna start off Saturday Night main event, then we're gonna
go into NXT and then well everybody knows what we're

(04:21):
gonna hit after that. So let's talk about it. The
household herd Man Gruns discussions on this yesterday, Kevin, let
us know what your thoughts were on this. Well, this
event that happened.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
So Saturday night main event felt very transitory to me
in that there wasn't it was basically Summer Slam build
up except for the Goldberg match. It was legitimately probably
one of the best Goldberg matches I've seen in like

(04:57):
ten fifteen years, can't. Yeah, that's the thing, Like people
are saying like, yeah, it's not so good or whatever,
But like, Goldberg was never one of the people to
put on like some a plus match that wasn't what
he was about. Nobody Goldberg probably wouldn't get on a

(05:18):
microphone and tell you that with a straight face. But
that's not what he was there for, and he was
good for business at the time. He was very lightning
lighting in a bottle. Gun Theer was the right person
to pair him with because Gunther builds off of this
wind going forward by beating some guy like Goldberg and
retiring him because now he can crow about retiring Goldberg

(05:39):
for the next ever. Yeah, And on top of that,
gun Theer was the right choice because Gunther can have
an A plus match with a broomstick, So because of that,
put Goldberg with him because Goldberg will look better than
if someone who couldn't lead him was in there, and
they can get the business. So I think this match

(06:02):
was I jay Uso stuff aside in changing the title
and then just looking towards the looking towards getting it
off of him. I thought this was the right match
for Gunther before a Summer Slam match that's going to
be probably higher profile, which we'll get into more when
we get into the raw preview, but just judging by

(06:23):
the options at his disposal, it's going to be higher profile.
And I think it was the right move here again
jay Uso aside, because we can debate that up the wall.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Yeah, very true.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
We'll talk more about the Rollins injury in a second.
When it comes to the questions. I thought the solo
so CoA match was a little throwaway, but it did
get Fatu back with Jimmy, and I think that's what
that they need going forward. Yeah, they needed a catalyst
to get there and that was the best way to
do it.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Can I ask you real quick, how did you like
the standoff and back and forth between Tree and Jacob.
Towards the end of that interaction.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Between are you talking about Tata? Okay, I just want
to make sure that I had it right.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I guess I heard back in the day that like
his actual name translates into something like something to do
with the tree.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Oh sweet, So Trea Tonga. Ye, well, I'm calling him
that now. Thank you for that. Treatonga and him, they
are going to be one of the centerpieces of it
because Solo is going to continue to kind of have
more of that cowardice and blase attitude towards things where like, yes,

(07:44):
Solo is a threat, but he's a threat due to
his leadership, not because he is the badass. Yes, it's
that he surrounds himself with the bad asses and I
like him and I like that for him too, because
I think he's gonna sell it really well and he
can build himself more into a badass later on in
his career, like even a year or two down the line.
But right now, as far as how how we can

(08:05):
go with it, the badass angle didn't work, so they
they changed course and now he's really vibing off of
this stuff and he's really starting to stand out more so.
I like solo doing this. I like the standoffs between
Hiccoleo or Tria Tonga and uh and Fatu. I think
that's gonna work out well. And then the Orton McIntyre

(08:27):
match was a way to get to a tag match
at SummerSlam. It's it's gonna this is my prediction. It's
gonna be jelly Roll in Orton against Logan, Paul and
Drew McIntyre. And for a celebrity match, that's fine. Yeah,
the celebrity in there. Jelly Roll can have his fun.
He's slimmed down enough that it doesn't look like he's

(08:47):
gonna die if he gets hit with something. And I
think it's I think it's gonna work out just fine.
It'll it'll be a good celebrity match because Orton. It's
right to pair jelly Roll with Orton because Orton can
make anything work and direct him super well in that scenario.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Yeah, And I mean to be fair, Logan is proving
himself time and time again that he can he can
go in a match, and he they're trusting him with
a little more I believe. I mean, to me, the
last guy I can remember who made a successful transfer
from what they were doing to the wrestling world would

(09:28):
have been Mango McMichael. He was the one that I
remember the most who successfully went. I mean he was
running around with the four Horsemen. He was doing his thing.
Now we have Logan, Paul Logan, Paul's proving that he
is successful at this so far. I mean, hate him,

(09:50):
love him whatever, You're still watching him, and that's his
whole stick. And I loved the attitude he gave towards
the jelly roll. We talked about that on the house party.
Him coming out until Joe like Outsiders.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
It was perfect. It was the perfect heel endeavor.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
It was great, exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
And then just just a tap on Mark Ross because
he brought up something. Yeah, that's great. I love that. Uh.
I don't know if Goldberg ever passed out or submitted.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
So he did pass out?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Did he pass out? Oh? He did pass out once
Scott Hall. He came back.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
He came right back, but they knocked his ass out.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
With never a clean submit though, right, So there's there's
the key or the clean pass out. So giving that
to Gunther is also unique. So I agree with that.
And the match itself was the match itself because again,
Goldberg in a larger match, in a longer match was
it was never going to be a A plus effort,
but it got the business done, and I agreed that
that was the right call, and I think that's worth

(11:05):
bringing up.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Yeah, I agree with you fullheartedly on that YouTube. Mark,
thank you for joining us in here and earlier we
did have Annie ask a very valid question and we
had to acknowledge the Lou. We love you, Lou. You
were at all three WWE shows this weekend.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
So wow.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Yeah, So let's get to Annie's question real quick, real quick.
Where does Gunther go from here?

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I guess this will this will give a little bit
of a raw preview too, because it's it's evident that
they have the I think it's a gauntlet match. Yep,
it's a gauntlet. It's a gauntlet match to crown whoever
is going to face Gunther. My assumption, especially with Seth's injury,
is that it's going to be punk. Oh, because the

(11:57):
biggest funny match that they could have at Summer Slam
out of those ones is punk and I think it's
I think it's too early for Breaker because he's still
with the group and he's a heel and Gunther is
a heel man. They could pull the trigger on other things.
They could do something like a Penta. If they have
different plans for Punk that are high profile, they could

(12:19):
do La Night. I don't think that that would be
a bad call either, not.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
In this position, I could see that.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
I think j would be a mistake. The only reason
I say that is just because it's it's been so recent.
It feels like Gunther is a guaranteed win on a
jay Uso, whereas whereas the Punk it doesn't feel as obvious.
Tend to at least you want to have hope. And again,

(12:49):
if you put Breaker in that match and don't put
him over, I don't know what we're doing here, but
I think keeping him out of the match is the
better call right now. So find a way Breaker can
kill everyone else and then Punk is the last guy.
Like put Breaker in first, he kills three main eventters,
and then Punk beats him barely.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
A grun what's your ideas on that? What? What Kevin
just laid out perfectly? Because I'll give my inside after you,
but I want to hear what you gotta say.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
I I like this because this because I I so
so the word right now is not official, but Seth
is gonna be out for four to five months, Okay,
So that doesn't necessarily mean that they have to relink,
have to strip him of the money in the bank briefcase.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Yep, he's But.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
I I think I'll go into it a little bit
later because it really goes into its own topic about
Seth Rollins and the money bank briefcase.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
And now do they maneuver around this.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
I'm gonna just say this Brian Pillman story angle.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Okay, or Brett Hart in the wheelchair?

Speaker 4 (14:00):
I saw Brett Hart in a wheelchair. You go with
either one of those. They were injured, but they were
still on weekly shows. They did video packages things like that.
You keep Seth relevant. Have them sitting there with that
briefcase his leg up. I think it could work.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Seem Punk Wins at SummerSlam Bronson, Reed, bron Breaker, come down,
beat the hell out of CM Punk, Seth Rollins.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Oh god, I could already see the money at the
bank angle? Oh shit, No, ye, along those lines, but
it's not quite those lines. But we'll get it. Do
we want to get into that question real before we
go into the next thing.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Well, let's hit it.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Really we're on it.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Yeah, just might as well.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
So the question in the discord, give it to me verbatim,
just because I don't remember it specifically.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Okay, let me pull that up quick.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I know what had to do with Seth Rollins's injury
and what are they going to do with the money
in the bank.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
Yes, so Nightwing in our discord, he said, I wonder
how bad Rollins is injured and what happens now with
his plans with Hayman and the group. Also the money
in the bank briefcase, what happens to that. So he's
basically outlining what we've set up. So, yeah, that came

(15:27):
from our discord. Joining our discoind.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Yes, please join the discord. You're throwing some questions in there.
We're looking for questions so that we can answer them.
Live give us something. We'll come up with things if
you don't. But it's yeah, my thought process after we
started to lay out these things, I can already envision
a good way for them to do this if Rollins

(15:50):
isn't injured for a calendar year is being reported and
we can keep that money in the bank hot for him.
You you keep him injured, you report that the injury
is going to be longer than it is going to be.
So let's say they gave us a timeline of five
to six months, it's actually three to four. You report

(16:13):
a longer injury time because then you can trick everybody
into believing he's still injured in that chair.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Until he isn't and he stands up and cashes in
the money in the bank, I love it.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
I wouldn't do.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
I even think they should go as far as having
him as a special commentator for a match and just
like something happens in which he just all of a
sudden stands up. I think that would be a great visual. Yeah,
that would be fun. I like your CM Punk Angle
winning this Gauntlet because I think him and Gunther at SummerSlam,

(16:52):
Gunther can can carry a lot of the weight of
that match to the point that I think we could
have like Punk's last greatest match that he had minus
the Hell in the Cell was the dog Collar match.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Sure it was very good, specifically singles, because I will
say the Triple Threat at Mania was really good. But yes,
singles match exactly.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Yeah, his his singles, and I think Gunther can help
recapture something like that with seam Punk. Now, is that
going to take way too much out of them Punk?
That's a possibility, but I do think Gunther would make
it look devastating without a lot of injuries after the match,

(17:37):
you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I think you could also give Punk the win here,
give him a little bit of a title reign so
that Rollins Cash is in on Punk specifically, because then
you can have Rollin's Punk singles match that we never
got a conclusion of. Okay, yeah, you can get that
at Mania because this timeline still would work.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Yeah, you're right, it would work. I love that. I
love that. All right. So, uh, we covered a lot
of the Saturday Night main event. Not gonna say it
was the best, but like howse said, it wasn't a
p l E. It was a special event that was
happening that they were reminiscing old things with uh Grun.

(18:20):
I believe you popped in when we were discussing this. Uh,
what was your favorite moment of the night for Saturday Night?

Speaker 5 (18:30):
My favorite moment for Saturday Night's main event. I believe
that was when they did the angle with Jade and Night.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Naomi, Yes, naming that was that was my favorite moment.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Yeah, I I know it was.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
I wish it meant yeah, I wish show had meant more.
It didn't.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
It is what it is, Yeah, it is, and you know,
hopefully something comes of it, and most of all, hopefully
Seth is going to be back as soon as possible
and healed up. We have fightings one coming in. My
favorite match was from Punk and MJS.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
God Collar match.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Yeah, yep, that's a.

Speaker 5 (19:18):
Great Okay, Yeah, no, AW used to put on great
matches all the time that made sense storyline wise. Now now,
and look, this isn't any offense to to indie promotions,
but AW is basically okay, we need to get asses
and seats. Just put on big fucking shows, big fucking

(19:39):
matches every fucking week.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Hey, they to their credit, they built all in decently. Well,
I'll give credit, But other than that, it does feel
disjointed at times, and it feels like there's only some
feuds that get a nice build and the other ones
get thrown together like a matchup booking, and that does
get to feel very the asque sometimes. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
And I like howse said though, if they show consistency
from all in, we know that they're they're moving in
the right direction. Great, we just got to give them time.
See if it happens. Grown, I'm in your boat. I
don't think it's gonna happen, but I'm going to give
them that chance. You know, they impressed me with the
two and a half hours I watched of all in

(20:23):
It was great.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
What I sing, I'm not watching that nine match card
because guaranteed each match got a minimum of thirty minutes.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Hey, that's Samoa. Joe ending was insane.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
I will never say that AEW does not have overall
an incredibly talented roster. They absolutely do. That is not
up for debate. What is up for debate is can
they be interesting every single week? Will Othrey is not
interesting because he does all his moves every single week.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
So I don't care.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Ruv put some respect on his name. It's spray. Yeah,
I'm I'm there with you. Gren, I'm there with you.
But we're gonna go on to something that we all enjoyed,
and that was n XT's Great American Bash. Great great,

(21:21):
I did too, I did too. I thought that everybody
did fantastic jobs. Jasper Troy from LFG YEP got a
big match. He did well. I wasn't expecting to over the.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Moon for him.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
He did well, Kevin. Let us know what your thoughts
were with a Great American Bash.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Great American Bash, I thought. I thought all of all
the matches did quite well. The Ricky Starks Ethan Page
match was wild chaos, but in a way that overall
made sense in trying to use the way they did.
And then we had another nose hold, no holds barred

(22:03):
the next night for Evolution, which we'll get to that
I thought did really well with that too, and used
kind of the environment in weirder like, more unique ways.
So I really enjoyed that match because I don't usually
like those kinds of matches, but they eat the page
and Ricky Starks are guys that they make it work,
because usually when it comes to hardcore matches like aw ones,

(22:29):
I don't tend to like because they tend to go
too far. And then I wonder, and then I wonder
why that it isn't the pinfall yet for another ten minutes?
Is what it is. That's how they book their matches,
and it's okay. There's a sectional audience that enjoys that clearly,
but usually in hardcore matches. I'll see I'll see a
big bump and then I'll go, oh my god, oh

(22:54):
my god, this is a great finish and then it isn't.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
Yeah, I know what you mean.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
And then they'll they'll pick them up and hit their
finishing move instead, and it's like, but you just did
a flying whatever this shit through a table, through a
metal staircase, and you're telling me that didn't kill him,
but you're Lariat did.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
Yeah. Yeah, that's what always hated me about New Jack matches.
If he was losing, they would he would do these
magnificent feats and then all of a sudden, a clothesline
takes them out. Yeah, what is going on?

Speaker 1 (23:29):
I get you want the branding of using your finishing
move to get it over do it as the setup
to whatever you're doing. Yeah, if you if you use
the stone Cold stunner. Let's say Stone Cold was finishing
a hardcore match. He uses the stone Cold stunner. But
maybe he does the stone Cold stunner through a chair
because they're head's in it like that's something. Or you
do a stone Cold stunner they fall because it's a

(23:50):
stunner onto a table and then stone Cold hits with
an elbow drop one, two, three, like here we are.
Now you've used the gimmick of the match. That to
me is the psychology and using those things, and there
is an art to it, and there's an art to
not giving into your weirdest adaptations and going too far
with it and going, oh, well, then we're just gonna
do this. Like Ricky Starks and Page rode that line

(24:14):
well for me, I agree, and I think those two
guys really are flourishing more in NXT than they did
in AEW and are given the chance to do it.
I thought Starks had a good aw run honestly until
it was until it was unceremoniously stopped, probably because he
didn't want to resign, and that's business. That's business. But

(24:37):
I think both of them are really taking the ball
and running with it and NXT, and I look forward
to seeing them on the main roster when when if
they end up there, because we never know with careers.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
I love it. Let's let's hit lou here. Because he
was at the event, he said Page and Saint was
his favorite match of all of Saturday. That's awesome. Yeah,
I enjoyed that match a lot. I Honestly, what you're saying,
Kevin is exactly what happened. These two realized what they

(25:11):
could do inside their environment, and they painted us a
beautifully violent picture. And just Chef's kiss to that one.
It was a great match. Any other matches that you
want to hit from a great American bash.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I thought the NXC Championship match went well with Oba
and in Murah.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
I wasn't expecting that much from it. I know, I
like as a worker, but I just it just felt
like a very random title defense a little bit. So
I don't so.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
I think if we're like the thing that we love
about ww's storytelling and and the storytelling seems to be
Josh Brakes is going to turn on in Amura. Yeah,
so this match had purpose in a Mura's on is
all about honor. So we'll probably get a great match
out of Briggs and Inamara. Standard deliver maybe is probably.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I imagine we get a Josh Briggs Obafemi first.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Maybe I can definitely see that happening. Josh Brees not
winning to be interesting.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
It would be especially after the match, the confrontation they
had backstage. Yeah, I kind of think that too.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
I think I think Josh Briggs tries to do something
dishonorable during that match in a Murra stops him, that
costs Josh Briggs, that leads to their feud. Does he
join the Colling I don't think so. I don't.

Speaker 5 (26:36):
Yeah, I thought about, like no, but maybe Sean Spears
just mentions it says, since they they just kicked out
Brooks Jensen.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
Yeah, yeah, that would be something we'll have to keep
an eye on. Yeah, exactly. Well, even though it's not
Monday Night talk, Well, we'll keep an eye on that
one because that was a very interesting being told. All right,
are we ready to move on to I'm gonna say
it one of the best PL's ever put on this year.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
This I can't even argue with that, No.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Top to bottom. This was a great one. And like
we talked about on Sunday Grun, we felt that wwe
kind of put the women behind the eight ball in
this one. Yes, not saying that they anticipated Seth getting
injured or things like that, but we all can agree

(27:36):
that all of this felt shoved together. It wasn't well structured,
and these women, I don't know what they all stood
on ten toes backstage and said we are going to
tear the house down, and they did it. Let's hear
what your thoughts are, Kevin. I've talked too long on
this one already.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Man, I can't possibly catch everything that was just fantastic
on this show, So I'll hit a couple of my
personal highlights.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
I loved that they quickly turned Mariah Monroe slash Blake
and Roe. I like that she's back to you. I
like the cheesy heel quickly, and I think they did
it well.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
That was quick.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
It was quick. But so I talked about this with
somebody recently and I kind of I didn't like c
see this one coming, but it makes a lot of
sense to me. Is and it's one of the possibilities
that I had laid out, and it's you cannot have
someone jump ship from aw and immediately make them a

(28:36):
heel on WW. It's not gonna work that way. It's
too big of a signing. You have to bring them
in as a face first, but you don't have to
keep them as a face for long. And that's the key,
because I think Mariah May she does well as a face,
but she shines as a heel, and I think she's

(28:57):
gonna be a force going forward with NXT, and I
think I look forward to her and Jordan Grace putting
on some just banger matches.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
That backstage with Jordan after the match was intense.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
So and I was happy that the NXT Women's Championship
got featured on Evolution too. I think that's a good
step to show that NXT Championship matches can be on
those pls going forward if they have a space for it.
So like, don't be surprised if they don't have an
NXT event, that a Summer Slam might host one or
something like that, or a Survivor series, and I like

(29:32):
and I liked that kind of branding and getting onto
those The triple threat that kicked off the show was great.
I loved the finish. The finish was such a creative
backslide pin It's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Yeah, that was we were all in the jet.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
That was waterly smooth. I had to rewind it because
it happened too quickly. When I was watching it the
first time and Annie was cooking, was cooking some things,
and I rewound it, we both were like, what the
was that? Like what We're like, holy crap. That was
amazing and the rest of the match was good too. Yeah,

(30:08):
I thought, and actually Annie said this out loud. I
thought the Battle Royal was good. Annie out loud said
it was one of the best Battle Royals she's ever seen. Wow.
And I looked back and I said, you know, I
can't disagree that it was a really good Battle Royal
because they they didn't cluster fuck each other. They didn't

(30:28):
just fly around and get mismatched with each other. They
didn't they it seemed pretty seamless. There wasn't a lot
of with twenty bodies, something's gonna get meshed in. Yeah,
that's just gonna happen. But for everything that went down,
they hit a lot of story beats. They got a
lot of characters over. Everyone felt like they took their

(30:50):
moment and lash Legend really got a nice feature in
that to really start elevating her. It seems like they've
taken a back seat and pushing her. I'm I'm hoping
that this begins something. I'm not gonna be the Internet
and jump to Oh they need to feature her and
push her right now, because I don't think that's true.
They have a lot of people they're still in the

(31:10):
middle of doing. But this also primes her to start
going whenever they want to. Yeah, And I think that's
the important part coming out of it.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
And you know, to add on to that, I think
the pop that she was getting throughout that that match,
anything that she did the crowd reacted to, I think
was spectacular and puts her in a position where if
they need to plug and play her, they can and
it's going to hit. Also, i'd like to say, you

(31:43):
were talking about the it wasn't meshed up and things
like that, and everybody it was able to flow. If
you notice in the Battle Royal when they were doing
those spots towards the beginning on the apron when Ivy
Nile got knocked out, all the other women of the
Battle Royal were off in the other two corners, leaving

(32:04):
plenty of rooms for all. Yeah, it was like I
seen that and I was like, finally somebody gets it.
They understand you have to make room for what you're
trying to tell inside the Battle Royal.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
So I had a lot of They had a lot
of good people vetting in that match to like ring generally. Yeah,
between me chin between Natalia, it even looked like I
called this out while I was watching it. I'm pretty
sure it was happening, but I'm I couldn't tell you
for certain. It looked like Naya Jackson's ring generally in
a little bit.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
A little bit.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
She was going around and talking to people at the beginning,
and it was clear that wasn't like it was. She
looked like she was talking shit to him, but I
know as a worker like she was passing messages.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Yeah, yeah, No, I think she did great.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
She did fantastic and power to hear speaking of a
huge pop though. I have to call attention to this
because it was a perfect Demons stration of tag wrestling.
Charlotte Flair got the hottest hot tag I've heard in
a very long time. That place blew up for Charlotte
Flair and her face turn has been nothing but successful

(33:13):
at this point. And it's because they've taken her away
from the women's title, I promise you, because it doesn't
feel like she's just gonna get flared into another world championship.
Now they can feel free to like her and humanize her.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Yeah, and I think Grunn brought it up to it
was a very good point. Maybe it's time for her
to start going by Ashley.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
Could be yeah, uh, look I have I have been
one of the biggest haters of Charlott Flair since her
return in this and yesterday last night I was told no,
we love Charlotte Flair.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
We and like.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
This arena was cut in half. According to Lou he
was supposed to be in the bleed in the nosebleed seats.
They moved him down.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
Yeah, he was like thirty feet from the preview show.

Speaker 5 (34:09):
Oh yeah, And I'm like what And then then then
we see we see people go crazy for Charlotte, chanding
for her to get tied in the match, and then
a huge pop like what hit the hell?

Speaker 1 (34:25):
What did I miss?

Speaker 4 (34:27):
It goes off when you set back and you don't
expect the world like and grin. I think she really
hit exactly what we've been talking about for the since
her return, and she's taken that step back, She took
a beat. She's allowing herself to develop and be loved
again as opposed to demanding it and almost almost walking

(34:50):
in with this arrogance of no, you're supposed to cheer me.
I'm the good guy. You know. It's like, don't We're
not dumb, come on, just just come in let us
tell you what we want you to be.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
I agree with Fighton's comment too perfect pairing with Bliss.
Bliss has such a good will with the audience. Oh yeah,
especially not just from her, but also because of the
sad passing of bray Wyatt. She is a face for
like life unless she does something heinous. Yeah, So pairing

(35:26):
her with that and giving the rub there. They work
really well as a team as well, so it's not
even like a mismatch to try and give Charlotte a rub.
They were working pretty well and they got some nice
story over of them starting to get on the same
page even more throughout the match. I would expect them
to get a women's tag title run at some point when,

(35:47):
but it's going to be in the next I want
to say, three four months.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
It wouldn't surprise me. Would not surprise me. I mean
that was brilliant having Charlotte pull Bliss out of the way.
I mean that that just added and then for her
to look over at Bliss like you're okay, and then
Bliss being like, oh my god, you saved me like
that place perfectly there. I think these two are hearing

(36:11):
what people are saying, and they're working working to their betterment,
to to prove us wrong, and we always want that.
We want every any person we critique, we're critiquing because
we want you to be better. We want you to
be what we know you can be, something that's not
exactly and we're assholes we called out. But we'll show

(36:35):
you love when when we feel that you're ready for
our love. So okay, any any last comments on this
before we get into the last moment of evolution.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
I guess I'll quickly touch on this because I half
touched on it. The no holds barred between Jade and
Naomi was great again, innovative use of the weapons. It
looked like a couple times they were a little mishmashed,
but that's a hardcore match sometimes. Yeah, I'm willing to
forgive that. I love the use of the table leg

(37:08):
to try and blind Jade. I wish they would have
sold it a little bit longer so that she couldn't see.
Maybe that wasn't what they were going for and the
commentator sold it that way. That happened sometimes, h The
Jaded went looked like it went perfect. I don't know
when Naomi got her face busted, but it had to
have been some random time because she wasn't bleeding until

(37:31):
like the end of the match, until like the last move.
And it wasn't on the jaded that it happened because
that was your face hit. So I'm not sure where
it happened. Overall. I thought the match was good, but
let's uh, let's get to that main in that big moment,
all right.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
So through our discord, we had our own concept. Ali
Coan House the boss chime in his question, this is
his Yeah, we definitely have to have a contract. Yeah,
we will not be here next week. Then all right.
So he put this in a form of a post,
but I know exactly where he's going with this. So

(38:11):
Naomi is now the three time WWE Worlds Women's Champion,
with four world title reigns over all when you include
her TNA Knockout Championships. Last night, she went left when
everyone expected her to go right, delivering some of the
best character work of her career and delivered in a great,

(38:36):
no holds barred match that, in my opinion, helped elevate
Jade Cargill. I. First off, let me say this. I've
been saying, Naomi is going to have a moment and
when she becomes champion, it's going to be something we
talk about because it's going to be spectacular. Last night,

(39:00):
before the match started, I was sitting there thinking, and
I'm like, something, something's gonna happen. I didn't know what
it was going to be. I did not, honestly, Naomi
cashing in was low. I thought she was probably still
getting checked out from the match maybe you know, kind
of because that took a lot out of both of them.

(39:22):
But she cashed in, and she cashed in hard and
won and proved everybody that she you need to proceed
with caution when she's anywhere in the facility. Man, what

(39:42):
an epic moment.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
It was really good. I do think the match elevated Jade.
I think it puts her towards I still think beating
Tiffany Stratton. I bet they lead to a Bianca and
Jade match at this point. I don't know how, I
don't know when, but I assume that that's the plan
because Naomi will be on Raw now, which is good.
They needed separation. Naomi needed to be on in a

(40:05):
different show than Jade. It can't stand the same one
because they just keep killing each other. We can't do
that as far as Naomi like that. What a huge moment.
And Ria and EO had an all timer going to
which makes it even crazier. Yeah, because everyone, I think

(40:26):
was expecting Ria to just win and it didn't happen.
So EO still is underfeeded against Riha.

Speaker 4 (40:35):
I love that too, I see.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
And my on my scorecard. I had a return coming
after Rio one to set up a SummerSlam match quickly.
I didn't know what return, I said, page just shooting
shooting shit at a wall, But I thought return because
then you could start setting up a big profile Summer
Slam match for Rhea. But instead we set it up
with a cash in. Because my assumption now is a

(40:58):
triple threat.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Yeah, oh, I can agree with you on that one.
I mean, that's what it's looking like. They're painting on
the wall.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
And Ria and EO continue to be locked at the hip.

Speaker 4 (41:08):
God, those two are so good.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
They're gonna have a career rivalry. It's Ria and Eo
r Sina Orton for the division right now.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
I'm comparing them to Mike Awesome and Tanaka because they
just yeah, yeah, exactly, but this this match cash in
aside every time I thought it was over. Someone kicked out.
It was great, grun where are you on? A the

(41:41):
match and B the cash in heard around the world.

Speaker 5 (41:47):
Uh, the match was. It was fantastic. They took it
to new level of violence because they both wanted to
win so bad head and that was fantastic. And right
before she of Naomi made her entrance, I realized something's happening,

(42:08):
just like everybody else, like now this something's off Naomi's
music hids and it's like it like it we've been
we were expecting this entire time that the that the
route that we're gonna go was somehow Naomi screwing over
Jade and cashing in something around the women's champion, the

(42:30):
w E Women's Championship on SmackDown, and and it's that, Yeah,
that's what you guys get for predicting and thinking you
know what we're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (42:41):
Mm hm, Well, it's.

Speaker 5 (42:43):
Like Naomi leaves us evolution being world champion of the
women's division and moving to raw, Like what, how can
you have a more memorable moment, a more memorable cash
for the women's division. To be honest, I don't remember

(43:04):
the other cashs this one. I'm gonna remember.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
I'm gonna remember this one. Yeah all right.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
We got the lou chiming in he's saying with Naomi
losing to Jade and the Rhea and EO being so good.
I did not think of a cash on a main event.
They layered it very well. They did. They were catching everybody,
and I'm telling you right now, when that music hit,

(43:31):
everybody got the hook in their mouth and they just
got pulled along for the ride. And the ride is fantastic.
This is so deserving for her. I think that the
character development she's done since she's been in WWE back
is is next level. It's it's almost owen Heart esque.

(43:52):
When he turned into the nugget, it's like it's something
that again, I stress so many times, and I know
you guys lit me up in the chat. Oh that
ain't gonna happen. We had people saying Naomi's not good,
stop you don't see it, and it's okay. There can
only be one oracle, and it is me. So I

(44:14):
loved it. I thought, this is fantastic. But if I
was in Vegas, I was I had my money writing
on Summer Slam as her cash in. That's what I
was that's legit when I thought she was going to
cash in, and I thought it.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Was much sense in hindsight because that way Jade and
Nailmi are away from each other.

Speaker 4 (44:33):
Yeah, this is so much better.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
You know.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
I thought I was writing a great story, but the
one they told me was so much better. I threw
that book away and I'm just watching this one because
this is fantastic. I absolutely love the fact that she's
a champion and the fashion that it was done, the
match she had, the elevation she gave Jade. She gets

(44:56):
the MVP of the night.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
For me, I would agree with that. And it's interesting
to know that the clash in Paris Champion Challenger has
already known, but the SummerSlam one isn't.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
Yeah, that is crazy. That is crazy.

Speaker 1 (45:10):
I agree with fighting here too. It's crazy to think
of where Mercedes and Naomi are now because what a
year and a half, two years ago, they had just
quit WW without a plan.

Speaker 5 (45:21):
So I can agree to that with Naomi. I can't
agree with that with Mercedes, just because it something about
her running Navy. It does not feel natural, does not
feel like that, It doesn't.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
I was saying Mercedes, Mercedes is transitioned into AW was
really rough. It was gotten better in the last few months.
It's all of the belts is wild to me. I
don't like all of the belts, no, it that, but

(45:59):
I see what they're trying to do for me.

Speaker 5 (46:02):
It feels like they're trying to because Sasha Banks did
have a huge fan base in WW, and WW did
a great job of hiding where Sasha was falling short
and making us still love Sasha Mercedes is.

Speaker 6 (46:22):
She.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
I was excited when they sit when first they were
teasing a year before her debut that she was coming
to AW. By the time she showed up, I did
not care care And now I care even less because
they put five, six seven different titles on her, most
of which are outside of AEW. And now these promotions

(46:44):
have their titles on AW. And yet as far as
I know, their stars are not getting any kind of
recognition or attention.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
They get the they do get promotional material off of it,
and they also this is my assumption on the deals
of this. I'm not there in the goddamn office when
they pitch this. Yeah, but my assumption is at some
point Sasha has got to lose to someone, so by
that logic, Banks will be putting over somebody. I get Mercedes. Sorry,

(47:19):
I can't get Sasha Banks out of my head. Yes,
either way, my assumption is the deal is so that
Mercedes can put over people when she's on her descent,
and that's what's what my assumption is about to happen
in the next year. So time will tell. We're in

(47:42):
the fledgling stages of her just losing a big match
at AW. So we're going to see what happens. I'm
willing to look it out. I'm willing to see what happens.
I definitely agree with you, Grun. Her initiation into AW
was something, but recently I think it's been better handled

(48:02):
and they're showing that she isn't just infallible. Okay, so
but again, we'll see what happens.

Speaker 4 (48:11):
Yeah, yeah, I believe Tony Beater.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Last night she didn't yep. Uh and look, my my.

Speaker 5 (48:17):
I think my bigger issue is that she said that, oh,
she's a new version of herself. People say that, yeah,
and it's like, look, I.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
Hate when anyone says that.

Speaker 5 (48:27):
If you're a new version of yourself, please prove it.
If John Cena said that this is a new version
of himself the like the week before he turned heel
or the week of like then we'd all then we
buy it. I see Sasha banks that in different colors

(48:48):
with a new nickname that is basically the same thing.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
As the Boss. I don't disagree with you.

Speaker 5 (48:53):
So I'm like, like, look, if you want to be
if you want to be the Boss, be the Boss.
But don't be like, oh, I'm a new new person
and you need your entrance song to tell people what
to chant.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
Well, another thing with that is that like CEO is
adjacent and it almost has synonym to Boss. It feels like, hey,
I did this so that I can get her on
a trademark exactly, and that does kind of suck. I
agree with that. I also see why she would do
it the way she did business wise, Yeah, but as
a person on looking and then especially when you use

(49:24):
the phrase I'm a new version of myself, it's like,
what are you like? It raises too many questions.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
Well, lou is claiming he is a new version of
his self.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
I mean he's the wool w e l.

Speaker 4 (49:41):
I love it. I love it. Okay, So we got
ten minutes before Raw kicks off. We know Naomi is
going to Raw. Adam Pierce has already made a video
out there saying how he's going to welcome her with
open arms, and so we're looking forward to that. Is
there anything else you guys are looking forward to on

(50:02):
tonight's Raw.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
I'm excited to see the fallout for Naomi. Yeah, not
just to be welcomed in obviously the Gauntlet match. Yeah,
but we already spoke on that. I am. Next thing
I'm really curious though, for Raw is Becky Lynch and
the Intercontinental title and potentially seeing the AJ and DOM

(50:25):
stuff pick up before Summer Slam.

Speaker 4 (50:28):
See, That's what I'm looking forward to. I hope, I
hope we get another creepy.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
I'm constantly constantly looking forward to this man when he
shows back up as carrying Cross, Hey, get more shit.

Speaker 4 (50:42):
You ain't lying, man, you ain't lying. I I'm looking
forward to what they decide to do with him. Creepy
Cross and creepy AJ two of my favorite things. I
just I just love them.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
I just remember I think it was in the check
voice where you're like, with that one segment, AJ is
back over with me forever?

Speaker 7 (51:05):
Oh yeah, just thatpearks out from the and the fact
that Dom could not find him was even better. It
was how did Dom not know that? Case said from
a j when he picked it up?

Speaker 1 (51:26):
Right?

Speaker 4 (51:27):
It was through Case.

Speaker 5 (51:31):
I mean, look, we've learned either from Tom. He's not
that bray not a reader. No, no, he barely passed.

Speaker 1 (51:37):
He had the he had to pay off the teacher
with chicky nuggies.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Yeah, is so good.

Speaker 4 (51:46):
I love that. I love that. It's it reminds me
of the list with Jericho, which I always liked the list.
I thought that was so funny.

Speaker 1 (51:55):
I love prop comedy. We do me too. It can
either go badly or well in either way.

Speaker 4 (52:04):
Yeah, Mami is one of my favorite al him and
Pepe those were I forgot props ever used Well, I
was just telling us we just made the list, all right,
it happened.

Speaker 1 (52:21):
I don't think that that's y.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
H has been running rampant through his b c W
on weesdays. We just beat a pool medle boys.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
You guys have you guys have.

Speaker 4 (52:39):
Reading a caskede you your own running like a running gade.
You got to join up with us. Man there picking
fights with you.

Speaker 6 (52:48):
And.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
I'm dressing the h I can't out to n w
O theme. Apparently it's still not enough. Apparently I still
prefer losing.

Speaker 4 (53:00):
Yeah, well, you like getting buried and it's okay.

Speaker 5 (53:04):
This is a that needs to be buried on raw.
Chelsea Green versus Nicky Bella because I think I know
what is happening. The winner is going to face Becky
Lynch at SummerSlam.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
That could be interesting.

Speaker 5 (53:17):
If Chelsea wins, I'm happy. I would bet my last
dollar it's not gonna be Chelsea.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
It's gonna be right, yeap.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
No, at least she didn't win the Gauntlet match.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
I mean that that is a plus. Honestly, I don't
hate a Becky Lynch Nikki Bella for the mid tier
title because it keeps it keeps Nicky away from the
big title, and I think that's smart.

Speaker 4 (53:42):
And it highlights Becky and her ability to go at
somebody on promos too.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
So a Bella is far more over than I thought
she would be coming back. She's base, so I don't.
I don't hate this move. I think it capitalizes on
a popularity that might not be there and months, so
you want to use that return while you want to
strike while the iron's hot. I wouldn't I wouldn't say
give Nikki the title or anything they could they could.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
I do.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
I don't even think. I don't think I would be
too upset about it. But I don't think it's going
to go that way. I think it's going to be
another routine Becky Lynch defense, but it's it'll be a
good match.

Speaker 4 (54:20):
Yeah, I like it. I like it all right, guys,
we are officially five minutes away from all going live
and you know what we do at the end of
the show. So Grunmeister, let them know where they can

Speaker 1 (54:36):

Speaker 5 (54:39):

do that.

Speaker 4 (54:44):
