Speaker 1 (00:14):
Crowds got clouds. You don't smoke in the tail window.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Folding down when the cames up the streets, taking no
more in the town that your windows. They ain't got
clue weed the window.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Let us make him move.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Turn out brack.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
That's how we brit by your croup.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
We can't beat him.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Do in the turn south be holy town. We don't
make a sind down the town were great day.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
We're breaking sound.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Turn sound rout, that's how we keep down.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Oh dude, you shot him in the deck. Huh, that's
not cool. If you don't shoot a guy in.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
The dick, stop doing it, butters, just knock it off,
all right? So how goes at window lickers? How are
you doing?

Speaker 3 (01:08):
It?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Is us? It is I. It is the three amigos,
Oh copyright strike. It's the three guys that hang out
that are friends. Yes, we are three minutes late, but
you know, fashionably late makes us so damn adorable in
your eyes. Probably doesn't, but you know, I'm just saying
words right now.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
But you know what it is.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
It's the window Lickers. Monday Night Raw preview review show
and the crew together, the Bearded Brigade. Kevin Callaway, he
is our chaos goblin grund Meister. He is our blue
eyed villain, and we are the three from iy H.
How goes it? Guys?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
How have you been?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Let's talk about it.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
It's good, not too bad.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
We're just cosplaying three minute warning rights exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
See, that's why Kevin gets paid the big bucks. Grun.
He's saying as he pulls my dick out of the fire,
that's what he does for me.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Okay, all right, that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
I do not do that.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
No, metaphorically maybe, but yeah, a lot of people get
on our levels. That's where we're at. No, So, Grin,
how how have you been since the last twenty four
hours since I've spoken to you?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I have been well, been looking into a lot of
the carrying cross and scarlet Prideaux stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Mmm. I have to address that today, are we? Yes?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
We will definitely gonna have to keep calling Paul Hayman's
comments in mind when he spilled with Ariel hell Wani. Yeah,
because yeah, well.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Grin, if Hayman's speaking, you better be paying attention. Ye
goddamn right, you haven't figured that out by now? What
are we doing? What are we doing here? Grond?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
What are we doing? I? Don't know what we're doing here.
We're now listening to Paul Hayman.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Well we are, we should figure yes, all right, guys.
So it's been a fun week this past week. Ups
and downs and turn arounds and a lot of wrestling
and anything new in the world outside of wrestling for
you guys, before we get kicked off fans, if you're

(03:18):
new to the show, that's what we do. We usually
try to kick it off with a subject that's outside
of wrestling, and then you know, that's the way to
get people into our cult. They'll be like, oh, they
don't talk to us about wrestling, and then we hit
you with wrestling. So anything you guys want to speak.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
About actually yet. So the the guy that just directed
the New Weapons horror movie, he has said that he
is going to be making the next Resident Evil movie.
I've seen that and said he's going to do the
fans service. Now I want to say, sir, I've heard

(03:55):
this before.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I and not gonna believe you until you put it out.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Ooh, that's a fair take. I have a different one.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
I heard additional information from his mouth too. He is
not going to be using much of the beloved characters
from the Resident Evil ohranchise, which I actually a lot
of people were bitching about it in random social media comments,
But in my eyes, A surely think, yeah, you don't say.
I actually think that's the best way for him to go,

(04:29):
because realistically, we've had We've.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Had takes on Jill Valentine, like three of them.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
We've had a bunch on Claire, We've had about like
we've had all of the characters portrayed on screen, and
everyone complains, moans, wines and whatever because it's not the
same because they have to portray them as people. And
in the Resident Evil games, I saw Chris Redfield punch
a boulder and he moved it out of his way
by punching a boulder. So like, unless we're gonna go

(04:57):
full campy with this, which we can, uh, I don't
think anyone's gonna be pleased with their depictions. If that's
the case, why not set it within a universe of
Resident Evil and you can portray more human characters and
you can go about it that way.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
I actually prefer it. Oh yeah, we can get thank you, macho.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
We can get more stuff and lore from Resident Evil
that we wouldn't have gotten we've gotten. It's a very
low heavy thing. So as long as we're sticking close
to the lore of what has happened in the timeframe,
I think this movie could cook.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I agree with you in principle, though, Grun.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
I will wait and see because I've been burned by
Resident Evil before so many times when it comes to
the big screen. But this is one that I actually have,
I have some level of faith in, but I'm reserving
judgments until we get there.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeahir fair assessment. And Plus I like what you were saying,
the world of Resident and Evil, and I think that's
exactly where it needs to go. If you're going to
take on the task of doing a beloved video game,
uh and then doing the next adaptation of it into
a movie, why not do it your own?

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Didn't Swingers? That Swingers guy when he went to Star Wars,
he tried to make it the world within Star Wars
and it was actually good. H Favaro favorite. Yeah, because
I hear people clamoring for him to come back and
continue the Star Wars. They enjoyed what he did. Honestly.

(06:37):
After after the originals, I really didn't I watched the
newer ones after the originals. But I'm an old guy
when it comes to Star Wars. I just love the
old story, and I.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Mean, like, it's perfectly okay to just like the older
stuff and to not like new adaptation of it. I
just my biggest thing when it comes to looking at these,
I'm an optimistic person.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
If it hasn't been apparent no entire.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Time, you've man, this is the obvious episode, obvious.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Thing I could possibly say, because I don't like spending
my time hating things. I like trying to figure out
maybe what they could have done differently, maybe what I
didn't like, but it's like it's just not for me.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I'm willing to look at it that way. So when
it comes to.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
Older stuff and older trilogies, it's perfectly okay to like
just like those and to not prefer the newer stuff.
And I know people are shitty about that too, even
it's like, well, if you don't like this, no, you
can like what you like. I just don't like going
out and crapping on everything else.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Yeah, it's okay.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
I think that's why I don't really crap on the
Star Wars what they got going now, because I don't
watch it. I don't know it. I'm not following the story.
I kind of cut myself out of it. But you
know what, as you were saying that, I just started thinking.
Our our three friendship is neopolitan ice cream. We have

(08:09):
the three flavors in one box. And yes, separately, are
they fine. Yes, But when you put them all together,
it makes a really good bowl of ice cream. And
I think that's where we're at when we have conversation.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
Yeah, you got you got gruns, absolute like passion and
rage behind things for a pints, which is good.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
You have me who's more optimistic, trying to see both sides.
Let's see what happened.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Let's problem solve, and you got voice in the middle,
just trying to you know, he's got some of one,
he's got some of the other.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
It just kind of works. As everybody says, I'm just
out there trying to pull together. They're trying to form
an opinion. But it does work, and that's the key
right there. So let's get to work, guys. We got
Monday Night Raw coming up. It's uh forty nine minutes
away before they kick it off on Netflix. Uh all right, guys,

(08:58):
So who wants to dive into their story for and
get this rolling, Kevin, do you think you go first?

Speaker 5 (09:06):
I saw something come up right before we got on.
I had I originally had like a topic and I'm like,
maybe this one, But I just saw this get announced
and I'm not sure what this changes, if anything, but
it's it's worth a discussion in a sense. Naomi is
not medically cleared to night to face the Eosky. I

(09:28):
don't know it's work. I don't know if it's a shoot.
I don't know if it's kind of both, because you know,
WW is pretty good at running those right now to
make you start, which is great again, As I said
last week, I love being worked.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Please work me too, me too. Just don't let me
just predict everything. With this being said, what was it
supposed to be tonight EO Sky and her? And I
think it might have been.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
For the title, Yes, yes it was.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
So then looking at that, if she can't defend against
EO Sky, that doesn't get rid of the rematch clause. No,
if we're looking at that, I'll present this to the
class to kind of figure out how we can go
from here.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Just speculatory.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
But Stephanie Viquier is the next challenger after that, and
it's going to be pretty soon we got to start
building towards her at some point. How can we interweave
these and still get rid of this rematch clause from EO?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
What can we do to do it?

Speaker 5 (10:36):
And what's next for EO? Because she's got a spiral
off into something else that isn't the title.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
That's true and that that's a very good question, because
I right now I couldn't tell you, and that's scary
because I love what she does in a ring and
for me to not know, I mean, I'm sure that
there's somebody out there and the fans are even on
the panel that is going to be able to come

(11:03):
up with something that makes sense. But just right off
the bat, like, that's a hard one. Yeah what if?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:13):
What?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
So they've kind of been playing more into this friendship
that EO and Rihea have.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
What if?

Speaker 1 (11:22):
What if Io and Ria become a tag team? Maybe
it's leads to a taggging tournament and the finalists of
the tagging tournament are Io and Rea or maybe semi
finalists EO and Ria versus Oska and Kyrie. Saying creates

(11:43):
a little bit more story. Either team could win and
you can maybe turn somebody, maybe not.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Or they form the yakuza and they take out real.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
They already did that. It was called damage control.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Oh yes, and I forgot thank you that that helps.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
To be fair, I'm down with the idea that we
have a female Yakuza group.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
I did would say that that was a bad idea.
I said that we'd done it.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
It wasn't done well.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Well, I would disagree in.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
The lead up to Mania, but then they did nothing
with it after Yeah, pay it off afterwards.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Okay, so you know, I think what I really mean
is it didn't live. It didn't uh succeed. It's full potential.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
I agree. Okay, yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Didn't andsult in the middle.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Could you imagine just imagine the uh Chelsea Green coming
out with the secret heearson. They're all in their little
get up and everything, and then the this mock Yakuza
comes out in like even nicer suits and just ready to.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Dude.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
I I'm just saying this could hit.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
There's money, you know what, kill all the plans, just
just rewrite it, scrap everything. If you're watching just female Yakuza,
here we go.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Oh man, I think we could we could hit with that,
and uh, you know, we don't want much just a
little a little off to the side. You know, we
got some things we'd.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Bring Julia into, break the whole thing up later.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
On, or to supplant somebody because you could. Again, you could.
You could basically just run the same damage control thing.
It would work.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Yeah, you really could.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Maybe better maybe.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Well you could. You could with the talent they have
now in the w w E. For the women, I
think if you did a different type of damage control
in the same aspect, using Stephanie vel Cure, using maybe
even Roxanne Perez like some of the younger talent doing,
I think it could hit. I think they could really

(13:58):
run with that, and then battling up against all these
different factions for the women's division, because honestly, if you're
asking me as a fan right now, I think the
women's division is cooking with all and.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
I think I actually would argue that it's the strongest
part of ww right now.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
I'm with you division.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Not because that not because there aren't outliers of male
superstars that are more interesting, like like see them punk
like a seth Rollins or anything like that. But if
you look at it as a whole. I think the
women's division has far more intrigue around it right now.
Like Cody is going to face Drew, which is going

(14:41):
to be a good match, but like we kind of
know where that's going seth rollins.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
We feel like, isn't going to lose that title for
a while. I would, I wouldn't imagine, So.

Speaker 5 (14:50):
There isn't a lot of intrigue to that either. The
intrigue for the World Heavyweight title was that SummerSlam boom
that hit. Now we're cooking towards something else for the
next few months, and that's good. Everything cyclical. But for
the women's division, we don't know. We don't know, Dick
all of what's gonna happen with Tiffany Stratton because she's
a title for a while.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
They need to do something with her.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
They she.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
I.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
I think we're getting to the point where she needs
to drop the title.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
I think we're gonna get some switch ups in the
roster for the women because we need fresh matchups too.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
I think we're gonna see some people. We could even
see Eo Sky go to SmackDown.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
That could be well, would we not all and I'm
not speaking for all of us, But I am posing
the question to all of us, would we not all
enjoy Tiffany on raw?

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I would, Yes, I would. I would want her to
drop the title before she went oh no fresh matchups.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Yeah, I'm there with you. I want her not to
have the title. I want her to go there and
try to like make it some way where she's trying
to make it on her own. She's trying to do it,
even though she did that technically on SmackDown, she wrote
the wave. Anytime that she's seen that the fans were
popping for her, Gron, what the fuck are you smiling
like that?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
I'm ready for whatever you I know.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I would. I would finally be able to get the
potential for my fantasy women's tag team of Tiffany Stratton
and Rhea Ripley.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
It is.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
It is a bizarre combination, but I think it could work.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
No, No, no, I think that would work.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
No.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
That's a dominant tag team right there with those two
and plus the the the goth versus the just normal. Yeah,
you know, your typical mainstream like, I think that would
really play. I mean, look at what we're getting even
with uh Charlie and uh Alexa. Yes, I always get

(16:48):
her and live like right before I'm about to say it,
they always like cross my mind.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
But even you hate these women so hard, it's.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Look I'm pulling the curtain back. It's all a work, people.
I clearly enjoy what these people do, but I see
all you guys out there pining over them, so I
have to be the opposite. But we'll cut that out.
Don't worry about that. But you see it play well
with those two. Even though Alexa has a little more
of the goth type style, Charlotte brings it in with

(17:20):
that prestige that honor the name of the flair. I
think it would work in this instant, and plus I
really think it would help Tiffany just really catapult her
on the MIC skills being with Rhea.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
I think that's true. It also.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
It keeps Tiffany away from a women's title for a while,
which isn't a bad thing, no. And it also it
also keeps Rhea away from a women's title for a
while while still pursuing some level of title because realistically,
Ria's running out of matchups on Raw that are like
new fresh or without some kind of character shift from

(18:02):
other people around her, or with her shifting. I don't
foresee a Rea heel turn in the next year and
a half.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
I just don't see it. It's not gonna happen. There's
no reason to do it.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
There are still people coming there, and she's getting of
the of the people on Raw who make an entrance.
She is still top five pops of the night easily. Yeah,
no reason to turn her heel, but we do need
to move the pieces around her if she wants fresh matchups,
or we need to start thinking about putting her within

(18:36):
a different division so that we can freshen it up
there and kind of give her something to be like, Hey,
we're gonna shove you over here while everybody else cooks
and changes, and then you can.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Come back well. And I love how that really falls
into what Grenn was saying he wants. And I think
that would be a fun division for both of them
to be in and do some dominant.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
Work in which you probably want a super team or
a tag team. You're about to push Heavy to be
the one to de throne Charlotte and Alexa because they're
already a super team. They're not they're not a tag team.
They're not friends.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
You know.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
The whole thing that they're selling, Like, yes, they're a
tag team, but no, they're not a tag team. All
of us are waiting for them to break up and
face each other too, dude. Like it's like the Rocket
Undertaker when they won the tag titles, Like we know
they're not gonna hold these sons of bitches, but who's
gonna beat them?

Speaker 4 (19:25):
Exactly exactly, Yeah, dude, the more I think of it,
I'm just thinking of like even Rhea setting in front
of this makeshift Yakuza as a leader and then them
turn on her.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
Dude, Now that would still freshen up the EO Rea
match because now someone's heel exactly.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
I think I think it's like our trademark will put
a pin in that. We'll get back to it.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
EO.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
She's beloved on this panel and we'll see where she
goes next. Grun, do you want me to hit mine
or are you ready for your?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
No? I I think I'm ready for mine. So tonight
on Raw, they announced that there's gonna be a tag
team match. AJ Styles will be teaming with Dragonly the
take on Dominic Mysterio and his tagging partner from the
hidden valleys or mountains of Mexico Americanos making his comeback. Huh,

(20:23):
well it looks it looks like it's a taller Americano.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
We have no idea what's going on with amazing.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I was gonna say magic beans, but okay.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Well I'm using science grun.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Oh oh okay, fine, but but so my question is
gonna be revolving around Dominic and do we see.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Is this going?

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Is this few with AJ styles going to last the
whole year, or or is this just a stepping stone
to Dominic mysterio becoming the next triple A mega champion?
Man that what is this for Dominici? Because this is

(21:09):
something it's not nothing.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Well, it's huge. Let's first off, being in a feud
with AJ Styles during AJ Styles last year or so
huge for Dominic and I love I love the way
these two play off each other. And I think both
are getting huge rubs for their fans. I mean, if

(21:31):
you're not loving creepy Uncle AJ, you're not watching wrestling.
If you're not loving Dominick trying to dodge him with
a doctor's note, you're not loving wrestling. These are the
things that make us enjoy it. We get to escape
reality because we're like, there's no fucking way, you know,
but there is a way because they wrote it in

(21:52):
that way, but not knowing all of what's happening over
at Triple A during their programming. From what I'm hearing
from different podcasters and different things like that, there is
a good chance Dominic Mysterio is about to take over
Triple A and become a Mega chance whatever their highest

(22:13):
thing is over there.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
It's a mega championship.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
I just.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
If he's not about to get it, he's about to
go into a battle in which he's gonna still look
like a star coming out of it because he played
that role perfectly.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
So in Triple A.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
I'll discuss kind of possible directions that I for seen
in a second, just to cover the Triple A. It
seems like what they were trying to set up last
I saw, which is a little bit ago, but not
like too long ago. It looked like they were trying
to set up a fatal four way because they had
a bunch of people from WW come in and try
and take over, and al viking O was there in

(22:56):
the middle. Who is their champion? It was Ludvig Kaiser's
Grande Americano. It was Dominic who came in last and
hooded of course viking O. And then who was the
last person?

Speaker 1 (23:12):
It was someone else from a Triple A.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
I believe was it from Triple A? I thought it
was No, it was Dragon Leh Dragon Lee. So I
assume they set up that fatal four way. I don't
think you want dom going down there with the ICY
title just to lose.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
So in thinking that.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
If you're gonna send him down with the IC title,
he's probably gonna win that Mega Championship and he's gonna
parade around both. He's gonna lose the IC title. He's
gonna or or the other option is for him to
lose the ICY title and then it's up in the air,
because then you could have him win the Mega Championship,
or he could take a loss and it wouldn't matter.

(24:03):
Another possible direction that this could go. And I have
to bring this up. I don't necessarily agree with doing
it right now. I think it's going to happen over
time anyway. Dominic turning face and being face Eddie Guerrero,

(24:24):
that's where it's heading.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
That only work, that's where it's heading.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
He's going to be Eddie Guerrero Junior essentially, if he
has the skills in timing to do it.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
That's what I was going to say. If he can
keep with what he's doing with his heel work, that
face turn is going to be something InCred.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
Literally already did it with great timing in the AJ
match that they already had, and they're going to have another,
and you know they're going to do another thing. So
eventually the goofy cheating is going to get over with
the with the fans, and it already kind of is. Yeah,
I I think by this time next year, Dominic will

(25:03):
probably be a face the only way that he isn't.
I do think he's a great heel. I actually think
he's a stronger heel than he is a face. But
at some point it's got to change up just to
figure out matchups and things. At some point he's going
to turn face, but I don't really know where it
goes from there.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
The only way he stays heel.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Just outside looking in is if they can really really
get him to do something egregious again, because that's what
it took to get him to stay heal last time
when it was with him and Rhea.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
He did something egregious, which was leave Rhea.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
No, And I don't think it's gonna work twice, not fully,
at least in the sense that if he left Live
for Roxanne, I think it would still work.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
But it is rehashing the same thing. So I don't
think it works for as long. If that makes sense.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
No, it does, it does. Ah. You know when I
when I think about him, I think he's such a
good heel that he's got, He's got face love from
the fans. You know. It's it's that weird thing. It's
like there's a few that have been able to do it.

(26:20):
The Rock he was able to do it. Uh, even
Austin the Greats can do it.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
Yeah, because it's run into this in the Indies all
the time. If your heel is more of a personality
than your baby face, that heel is now the coolest thing.
Now they're going to cheer the heel. So if you
have minute or non effective babyfaces, or the writing around
the baby faces is any kind of suspect the heel
is now your face.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Yeah, and that I mean, I know it runs into
problems with promotions. I've heard guys be like you got
you're supposed to boom like when they're coming out.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
You know, either do your job better or tell the
face to do their job better, exactly. And the.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Crap that works too, that works to yeah because the fans,
I mean they just guiding them into doing yeah, yeah, exactly.
And if you're going to highlight a heel in a
in a face way, that's going to be the issue
that you're running into. Even though you're selling tickets and

(27:23):
things like that. You got to think three steps ahead
of what you're already going to move in front of everybody,
because you don't ever know what the crowd's going to do.
And I think that's what what really at the beginning
kind of shocked Dominic a little bit. I mean, I'm
pretty sure he was aware of the possibilities of these things,

(27:43):
but like to be not to go from not even
being able to say a single word without the entire
arena booing at you to now being able to tell
a story like how you got your doctor's note and
you know, all this stuff without all that and people
are enthralled with the story you're telling. He's doing phenomenal work.

(28:04):
I can't wait for the next few years with dominic mysterio, phenomenal.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Oh yeah, it's gonna get better.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Oh, very true, very true. All right. So that brings
us to the final topic of tonight, and that is
all right, guys. So I think this is a discussion
that needs to be had. He's been back for a
long enough period of time, and that revolves around cm Punk. Now,

(28:34):
we had cm punk gone for many, many years, and
the fans every night demanded you heard a cm punk
chant you they and then things happen. He came back.
My question to everybody here and I really want you
guys to just like tell me exactly what you think
on this is CM Punk's come back to the WWE.

(29:00):
Is it as impactful as we thought or he hoped
it would be.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
I'll have you go first run, because mine's happy long.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Overall, I think the answer is going to have to be.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
No.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
I don't think it's been impactful. I think what it
has really been has been cathartic closure for fans to
see c mpunk finally back in the WWE. It's cmpunk

(29:47):
left an impact on the pro wrestling world because he
forced ww to change the game. He forced their hand,
he made them play cards. They didn't want to play,
and now I think I don't think there's any more
Seampunk can do for pro wrestling on camera in the ring.

(30:10):
He can't wrestle like he used to. We've known that
for a while.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Now.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
He can cut promos just as well, but they don't
have that same sting because we don't need that Ciampung
Rebel promo. We don't need that character. We don't need
him to be This sounds like he's fighting for the

(30:38):
fans anymore. We don't need that. What we need him
to do is to make sure that the next generation
of talent will listen, because we've heard that there are
some people in the roster that they're more concerned about
what people say online and they're not or watching tiktoks
and they're not they're not trying to improve their craft.

(31:02):
Is the is the allegation, basically, And if like seeam
punk wanted when you joined AW he wanted to train,
He wanted to be a teacher, he wanted to be
a mentor, he wanted to make the next generation better
than the last. He left because some wanted to most didn't.

(31:25):
A In WWE, they don't play around if you don't
want to improve if you are just here to collect
the paycheck. Guess what, there's a whole bunch of people
in WLFG. There's a whole bunch of people in the
performance center who are being told you can be gone
tomorrow and we wouldn't care. So they're fighting for their

(31:46):
life because they don't know what they're gonna do if
they this fails.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Well, and that's the nature of the beast to be
said bluntly. I guess now before we go on the
Heaven's uh answer on this grun Is there a point
in this return in which you you became And I
don't want to use the word like this, but jaded
on the cmpunk return because you're if you say, if

(32:18):
you say no, he didn't, this isn't impactful. In my eyes,
I'm seeing that you're discrediting that MacIntyre Helena Cell match.
I and that was an incredible match.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
But I open there is nobody in the world, nobody
in the business can take away from the fact that
that Helen a Cell match is possibly the greatest of
all time there because the brutality, the everything that feud
was perfect. It was everything it needed.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
There was a great blood feud it was, and.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
I would say there was a moment I became jaded,
and it was he said he was never going to
go after the world title when he came back and
out he is. So I'm like, look, dude, if you
want to go out the world title the whole time,
say it, but you say you didn't want to No.
I'm positive he said that he didn't want to.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
Go no, because directly once he came back, he talked
about wanting the world title.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
That's why he entered the rumble.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Hmmm, Oh what am I?

Speaker 4 (33:25):
We got a mystery on our hands now, guys swear.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
He said he never he He may have said something
along the lines of this isn't about the world title,
this is about business, because I could see him saying that.
But that doesn't mean he wouldn't go after a world title,
because that would still be business.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
That might be what I'm thinking. I might be switching
the words around. That's that's I think that's what I'm doing.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
But I can guarantee you he mentioned world titles from
the minute he came back, and that's that is definitely
because of the Royal rumble.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
That's gonna be my evidence.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
Because he entered the Royal Rumble, and if he didn't
want a title, he would have just said, well screw
that rumble.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
So then I guess, okay, So then with that clarification,
I so I'm I'm looking at what is the impact
he's having on the fans, what is the is the
impact he's having on the people in the back. He's
definitely having an impact on Drew mcdire, who absolutely was
going probably going to be in creative hell if he

(34:30):
didn't have that feud with see him Punk okay, and
Drew would have sat around waited basically for this moment
with Logan Paul. I, I think Punk is doing a
lot of it. I think he is making an impact
on the locker room, the fans. I mean like he's had,

(34:54):
like I said, great feuds, Helena sell match, best match
we've seen in along be selling some at we've seen
in a long time time. That is not up for debate.
I this could just be my own, you know, this
is my own personal opinion. I don't think he's been
as impactful as he was because I think that that

(35:18):
is something you can't take away that he changed the
game of pro wrestling in twenty fourteen.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
Yeah, but this round you're saying not as impactful as
you would have hoped. Yes, okay, okay, cool, perfect run
the love the take, and now we're going to listen
to what Kevin has to say. Kevin Callaway, let us
know what your thoughts are on the cmpunk impact.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
In my opinion, there.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
Was never a world where he could come back and
be as impactful as everyone wanted him to be. There
was no way to live up to it. There was
zero chance because it was one of the biggest returns.
It was the one that people were way for twelve
god damn years. That is true, and because of that,
because it was so hotly anticipated, because all of those

(36:10):
years of people chanting CM punk at a match that
they didn't like, all of it was still fresh in
their head.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
And then the biggest pop he was ever going to get.

Speaker 5 (36:19):
By returning was returning. It was always going to be
diminishing from there. It's not on CM punk for doing that,
It just isn't. There was no way to get around that.
He changed the business so much to get the ww
to actually look at independent wrestlers. That's how he changed it.

(36:41):
Because the likes of Kevin Owens, the likes of Sammy Zain.
None of them would have existed in that developmental system.
And that's just two of the standouts. None of them
would have been there without CM Punk and I'll die
on that hill because people like Gargano wouldn't have been there,
People like Champo wouldn't have been there because there would
not ever have been an example for people to point

(37:02):
at that was as successful as CM punk that pack.
So that was his impact prior to coming back. There
was no way for him to live up to that
in ring. Now in the back there is a way
for him to live up to that, and that's where
he's gonna end up. My thought is that when HBK retires,

(37:25):
he's going to take over an XTA.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
That's who's going to take it over. You can right now.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
That is a big statement, but that right now.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
Because he has that level of passion to try and
teach people things, and you see that every YouTube, every
ticktop everything with the younger generation that he does. It
gives off like dad energy. He's a He's a wrestling
dad to so many of these younger workers already. So

(37:58):
that's where his impact is going to be now. As
far as his run, I think it's in my opinion,
it's lived up to what it could have. But I
also see where grun is coming from and living it
up in general. But again, I don't think he was
ever going to be able to do that. It was
always going to be under a microscope because it was

(38:20):
such a big return, and because of that microscope being
so finite with like a ten thousand zoom that if
he messed up one clothes line, Leo, he's the worst
worker ever, especially the stuff that happened that with at
aw to get him back there. This man was under
a microscope from the beginning. There was no way for
him to live up to any of it. And the

(38:43):
Drew McIntyre feud was immaculate. It was easily one of
the best feuds I've seen in years. And the big
part of that you can tell Cmpunk can't do the
stuff that he used to do simply because his body's
more broken down.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
That is what it is.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
But he because he's such a talented talker, because he's
such a talented promo. I agree we don't need rebel
punk anymore because he's not really a rebel anymore. No,
but I also don't think he's portraying himself that way
after Saudi Arabia, which I know is recent, but really
think about how he's portraying himself now. He is still

(39:20):
portraying himself as one of the people, but not a rebel.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
That is a fair point. He has backed off on
the rebel list idea of his parents.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Though.

Speaker 5 (39:33):
Yeah, I agree, we definitely didn't need it through the
run Grun. We needed it at the beginning of it
to show that punk was still punk.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Yeah, well he's opening up tonight the show he opens
up tonight, so.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
You might end up being right, Grun because that I
just haven't seen it, Yeah, because he wasn't doing He
wasn't doing.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
That leading up to Gunther. Well mean, I wasn't being
a rebel with Gunther.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Yeah, And like yeah, Like what I'm thinking is I'm
seeing seampunk dress as seeing punk, which is making me
think he still thinks he's a rebel.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
It's like, well, I mean, you know what, that's.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
That Chicago style, man, that's just how heu Taylor's jeans shirt.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
Just if we saw like a corporate punk man, I
don't think he could be a face.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
And trust men go to Chicago ten thousand that's true. Yeah,
they're just everywhere.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
That's what they do, every corner, every nook and cracky.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
I even got a pair that's like three or four
pairs of green Chucks that I wear when I go
to Chicago.

Speaker 5 (40:37):
So I'm just saying, legitimately just Chicagians. But as far
as Punk's run, you know what, I'll go even further
than Drew.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Rollins.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
This is getting good because it's not over with these
dud No, it's not.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
And this feud has been literally cooking since he got back,
exactly for two years. They have been able to work
off of each other. It's to the point, like I
don't know if they actually hate each other. Maybe they do,
but they're making business there they are.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
They're making me a mark because I think they do.

Speaker 5 (41:15):
And if I'm looking, if I'm looking at what was
happening when Punk came back, I don't know where Rollins
was gonna go back in twenty twenty three, what did
he have to do as Babyface Rollins?

Speaker 1 (41:28):
I mean, really just continue the war with the rock
and Roman like that's it, and that we knew. So, yeah,
we knew that had an inspiration date, and we thought
this one had an expiration date.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
And you know what, I don't even think Rolins would
have been involved in that if Punk still would have
if Punk wouldn't have injured himself.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
At the rumble.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
Mm that's a fair point because.

Speaker 5 (41:54):
That's a I guess this is more butterfly effect booking.
But they were literally leading to Seth Rollins Punk at
Mania for that title. It wasn't going to be Drew
Drew was a pivot, and it was a good pivot.
It was a real good pivot, but it was a pivot. Nonetheless,

(42:15):
I don't know what their plan would have been, but
I assume it was Punk Rollins to main event one
of those nights. It wasn't going to be a tag
match with Rollins and Cody.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
You you might actually be right on that one, because,
like you said, they they were teasing us with Rollins
Punk for Mania for a little bit, and we were
all buying into it because we all wanted it. But
I think the feud we're getting now it is better

(42:48):
because it's like we're getting Seth ready to just destroy,
want to destroy what is CM punk and to capitalize
on what you were saying with the you don't know
if they actually hate each other. Some of these interviews
Seth is doing, he is making it seem like he
just absolutely cannot stand anything about cmpunk, and I'm I'm

(43:11):
really buying into what he's doing, and this is great work.
It's like Drew McIntyre. He made me a Drew McIntyre
fan because of the CM punk feud because I seen
what he put into it and it was fantastic.

Speaker 5 (43:27):
So I think I think punk Punk has made a
very good impact on the roster behind the scenes and
in front of the camera.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
I won't I won't lie to you.

Speaker 5 (43:37):
And tell you that he's at the same work rate
that he was back in twenty eleven because he's, you know,
fourteen years older. So bodies make fools of us all,
especially in the wrestling business. It does, so I will
lie to you and tell you he's the same one.
But what he brings to the table is intrigue around

(44:00):
the people that he's working with. Yes, it isn't about
him if we just look at him in a box.
Is he a good talk Yeah, he's a good promo.
His work rate's still fine. It does what it needs
to do.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
But he's elevating these people that he's working with that's
the impact that this run has had.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
I you guys have said some great things about him
on both sides too, even though ground you want the
more like you're not buying it. And I totally understand
where you're coming from, because yeah, you expected one thing,
you got the other. But again, tonight, he's opening up raw.
So pay attention to what he's doing. See if you

(44:44):
the next time we go live on the next Monday night,
see if your your your mind changes. I'm going to
say right now, I think his impact, like you guys said,
it's with the youth. That's where it's at. The the
biggest pop that we could have got is exactly what
Kevin said, the comeback as soon as you hit that

(45:06):
your music hits. That's as loud as it's gonna get.
But I do give him so much credit to put
all of what he's putting into each one of these feuds,
even Fighting's one is coming in saying as an ae
W fan, I am a big fan of Sam Punk run.
So far he has proven a lot to me. And

(45:27):
that's someone coming from the the enemy side saying, you know,
I prefer ae W, but what Punk's doing over there,
it's it's good. It's he's really pulling it through, and
I really do think. Uh yeah, my daughter's called me
that on stream Saturday unk. Apparently that means you're old. Yes, yeah,

(45:49):
so that was the only time they've ever tuned in.
They insulted me. Uh so, you gotta love daughters. But anyways, so, yeah, Punk,
I think his pact is going to be the most
meaningful during this run with the Youth and what comes
from that. I would love to see him take over
Shawn Michael's spot with NXT. I think that that would

(46:10):
be beautiful. I think he really needs to do more
appearances on LFG. I know a lot of people are
not too keen on LFG. Grun me and you've still
been watching it. I still like it. I'm a fan
of that stuff. I was a fan of it when
they did it back on MTV. I understand because they're
saying so many people right now are down on the

(46:32):
WWE for pulling the curtain back so far.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
Oh so it's more of an extension of that.

Speaker 4 (46:37):
Yeah. So yeah, it's just that stuff.

Speaker 5 (46:39):
These people want to know everything, and then when they
actually give them access.

Speaker 1 (46:43):
They're like, oh, why would you do that?

Speaker 4 (46:46):
Look how can I speculate now?

Speaker 1 (46:48):
And and I bear and again, and I don't know
what they want? They want They watched one episode of
season one and decided, no, bullshit, Fuck you guys. If
you tune into season two, you're not gonna have that
same opinion. But you don't tune into season two, so
you just complain on the internet because you're sad that

(47:13):
you have a crappy job that you're not trying to
get better at you.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
Okay, we don't need it. We don't need to bash everybody.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
No, he's idiots need to be bashed. Okay, you're you're
scrubs in your own Your life are your own fault.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
We all screw up our lives. You're simply hallucinating, you moron.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
We are responsible for our own lives and our own decisions,
So take responsibility for your own damn decisions. If you
don't like your life, change it.

Speaker 4 (47:50):
Very true. But yes, back after gruns rant of how
you should fix your life. The LFG is is good.
It's good entertainment. Grun mean you like it. We talk
about it. We we even really want to some of these,
some of these men and women to go. We don't
care about the last contract. Give them all contracts that

(48:12):
we like, we want to see him in. So if
seeing Punk's more involved in something like that, sign me
up for more Sandpunk On that end, because he in
those eras, I think he really shines. And I think
this generation it's like they're they're Sena for us, they're rock,
they're you know, so it's a guy that they've loved,

(48:35):
they've seen and they would listen to in that room.
I mean the episode he was on, they were all
ready to just like, like if he said a word,
they were like, let's write it all down and dissect
it and see how well they should exactly how they should.
They reacted that way. But there was some others that
came in, Like when Devon came in, a lot of

(48:56):
people were just like, okay, so he was Bubba's tag
team partner. Well, not only was he Bubba's taxic butner,
he was one of the meanest sons of bitches out there,
but could sell like nobody else. Well, you know what's.

Speaker 5 (49:09):
Funny is uh, I'll use an example of a person
who would be feared thirty years ago by simply walking
into a building, but nobody in LFG would know it.

Speaker 3 (49:22):
God damn thing about him. Meng Hako, the meanest man
in the existence of mean men.

Speaker 4 (49:32):
I wouldn't want to put them through.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
None of them. None of them would know who he is.
Not a one.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
There is one I think would what's her name, Peanut
or p Nasty?

Speaker 1 (49:45):
Yeah, p Nasty is her nickname.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
Yeah, I think she would know her history because that's
the only one who's gonna know.

Speaker 4 (49:52):
She does know her history. And maybe the Xena, Yes,
Xena might because she's been They've made her Bubba turned
her into a library of knowledge when it comes to this.
Probably those two, but anybody else not a chance. And
they would be like, oh, you can't be the hard

(50:12):
and we would see.

Speaker 5 (50:13):
Blood and then Ming would murder their soul. At whatever
years of age, Ming would still murder their soul.

Speaker 4 (50:21):
Oh you know, we would, you know we would. I
just seen a video of Afu Junior laying into a
dude who was doing the Samoan gimmick and wasn't a
truth moan.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
I saw that a while ago.

Speaker 4 (50:35):
Oh man, yeah, I don't. I didn't know when it happened.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
How recent it was, but it wasn't super recent. But yeah,
I saw it. Happen.

Speaker 4 (50:44):
Damn. I mean, I understand H tradition and you need
to respect things and maybe not do them. But man,
if that's if that's how you learn the lesson, good
luck to your chest.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
Man.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
But yeah, I I really think uh CM punk maybe
not as impactful as a you know we were all
wishing for because I think that's what it was. It
was a wish because we neglected to remember he's not
really doing this and the level of what he was
doing is not there. But we can still enjoy what

(51:20):
he does on a mic. Even the matches. I like
a good CM punk match. I know I'm not going
to get the dog collar match. I know I'm not
going to get you know, his amazing run in his
pipe bomb era, you know those things. But for what
I do see for what I I mean them taking
the title away from him after he wins it. You know,

(51:42):
that's just playing into the whole CM punk persona yea.
And I love it for him because he's going to
be able to to remind us all why he was
considered the best in the world.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
And promo is better than an angry CM punk promo.

Speaker 4 (51:59):
You know it, Kevin, you know it? And uh you know, Kevin,
I think next week my question is going to be
more geared towards a wrestler's mindset to something, because I
got a question brewing up for you, and I want
