In this deep dive, we'll answer the question: What is emotional literacy?

• Essentially it is the ability to identify what you are feeling.
• Ability to make sense of it.
• Be able to express it in a way that builds connection rather than creating conflict, especially toxic conflict.

HERE IS THE KICKER:  Most men were never taught how to do that, but even given leeway to suppress those emotions and do the opposite. By doing this it isolates men from themselves and reactivity becomes the default.
