Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hello, every want and welcome to the Big show. This
is Investing in Trading Live, sponsored by Trading Academy. If
you're a first time listener, thank you for stopping by.
Once again, I am your host, Josh Lilquist, and we
are going to dive into these financial markets today. We're
going to talk a little bit about financial literacy. We'll
get into some different stock opportunities and stock information with
(00:31):
some good moves in the markets this week. It's a
great market and our sponsor, Trading Academy, on their twenty
ninth year, teaching people just like you, how to invest,
how to trade, how to have that financial literary and
gain that confidence in your accounts, whether you're trading for
an income account, whether it's just a regular trading strategy
(00:52):
with a regular broken's account, or if you're looking at
retirement accounts four O one k's IRA strategies, how to
make smart decisions within knows so that way you get
to those golden years and you don't have to spend
those golden years at the golden archers. And we're going
to dive into that, so stay tuned. We're going to
get into them. As I mentioned some stocks, we'll talk
through the markets as far as the other ones, the
(01:13):
futures market, the for X market, and the options market.
And Trading Academy is a local academy that trains people
just like you how to invest in trade and getting
these markets. And whether you're brand new don't know a
stock from a rock, or if you're a seasoned investor
but you're looking for more consistency, Trading Academy has strategies
(01:35):
for you. Just a quick market update, as we know,
the markets reaching all time highs again. Really they rose
after a President Trump announced a trade deal with Japan,
setting tariffs on Japanese imports at fifteen percent. And this
is really kind of optimism with the S and P
five hundred and the NAZAC hitting record highs, really driven
(01:56):
by hopes of further trade resolutions including the EU. And
that's according to Investorpedia. You have tech earnings. Obviously earnings
a big day on I think it was Wednesday, Tesla
Google and that was after the close on the twenty third.
They really Tesla actually faces challenges from tariffs and declining deliveries,
(02:19):
while Alphabet which is quote unquote Google, their advertising and
search dominance are under scrutiny amid ai competition and then
mixed earnings. Anticipation was what they had before the earnings
kept the markets volatile, and we'll dissect that a little
bit on these second and third segments as far as
Tesla and Google, but just real quick looking at Tesla
(02:44):
currently at about three hundred and three bucks, dropping after
actually good earnings, so it's it's interesting what happens when
you have good earnings but the market goes down. And
we'll talk through Alphabet on the next segment as well.
Tariff concerns really that lingers really despite market optimism, uncertainty
percent persists around President Trump's August first tariff deadline for
(03:07):
countries like the EU and Mexico, and they really have
a potential thirty percent tariff. So that, as we know,
has been driving a lot of these market moves as
these tariffs, that big T word we'll talk a little
bit about Block As far as the different stocks that
we're going to get into. They serge ten percent as
it joins S and P five hundred on the twenty third.
(03:28):
Verizon rolls five percent after beating quarter two earnings, so
they had a good move after that. And then in Vidia,
as we know it seems like we talk about in
Nvidia every every single week. As we know, they are
the most valuable company in the world, with roughly a
three point seventy five trillion dollar market cap. I think
(03:51):
at one point they briefly surpassed four trillion in market value,
but right about on three point seventy five as as
and that's going to continue to change. So, as we know,
the markets are showing tremendous opportunities, whether they're going up,
they're going down. I mean, quite frankly, they are up
right now. You look at the SMP five hundred, right
(04:13):
around the sixty three seventy eighty depending on when you
listen to the show here all time highs right around there.
Same thing with the Nazzak twenty three than two hundred
and twenty three and the Dalla Jones. It's really it's
coming back. It's really getting to that point where we're
right at those all time highs along with the smps
and the nasdak. Looking real quick. At the other markets,
(04:36):
you have gold three three hundred and seventy two bucks
per troy ounce and near those all time highs. Again,
it's been consolidating and stuck in that little area right
around the thirty four hundred dollars mark, so we're going
to continue to see volatility there. But quite frankly, it's
interesting how this has been correlating with the markets, which
is that a sign of we'll say, potential drop in
(05:00):
the stock market because if there's if this is an
actual safe haven, are the big banks and institutions loading
up on gold, which is typically a safe haven. Who
knows silver? Interesting there, they're over to thirty nine bucks
share at one point, so great moves with silver. That's
great for us physical gold and silver holders. So the
(05:22):
futures market is as far as some certain commodities looking
super good. There. Oil let's look at oil right quick.
So with oil that right around these sixty six dollars
mark not as strong and quite frankly, has been dropping
or declining for the past really since twenty twenty four,
down about thirty percent, which we're seeing that at the pumps,
(05:44):
which is beautiful for people that drive a lot. So
obviously we have markets that are soaring, we have were
markets or stocks that are soaring due to earnings. We
have certain stocks that are dropping even though they had
good earnings, and we have commodities that are mixed have
some soaring to all time highs, and like for example,
the futures market, the goal of oil market drop in
(06:08):
and declining ever since twenty twenty four. So what does
that mean for us as traders and investors, Well, what
that means is we need to gain the skills as
far as techniques and concepts on how to make smart
investing decisions no matter which way these markets go. If
you're concerned about what's happening moving forward, the best time
to plan for that is actually when things are looking good,
(06:31):
so that way you have a plan before something happens,
so you're not reacting, you're just doing what the market
is telling you to do. And what we do at
Trading Academy, we're a local academy that trains these skills
how to get in these markets. If you're brand new
or if you've been investing in the markets for many
many years, maybe not actually doing it yourself, but you
want to have more consistency, but more say in what
(06:53):
happens with those retirement accounts. Trading Academy has those strategies
to protect them. So if you're feeling really good with
your retirement accounts, right now, now is the time to
learn to protect those because you never know what's going
to happen, just the same reason why we have insurance.
We have insurance on our homes, our cars, ourselves. If
you're listening right now and if you don't have insurance
(07:14):
or an insurance type policy or strategy for your retirement accounts,
stay tuned. We're going to discuss that. But we do
have free trading and investing classes in workshops that we
do locally at the Academy here and all across the
metro to help you gain that confidence and have more
financial literacy in what you're doing with your trading accounts
(07:35):
and your retirement accounts. We've been getting a lot of
comments from folks coming in they've been looking for a
place to go to learn about the markets. That's what
we do here at Trading Academy. I'd like to invite
you to a free investing in trading workshop right here
at the Academy or at one of our locations all
across the metro. To come into one of these workshops,
just text the word investing to the number two ten
(07:56):
two ten, and that's for two seats, one for you
and a friend. Most people bring their spouse or significk
a Nuther, especially if you do your financial decisions together,
or you can go to Trading Academy dot com. You
can pick your own seat and date there. Make sure
to follow the podcast. We're gonna continue the show. We're
gonna stay tuned. We're gonna talk about those stocks. We're
gonna get in Tesla, Google, Krispy Kreme, Coles, some good
(08:16):
opportunities with these markets moving forward. This is Josh with
investing in Trading Live. We will be right back
