(00:03):
This week on the Eye Racing downShip, Greg takes direct control. So
I just made the executive decision andsaid that was okay. Chris is late
for his Mattress delivery. I amgoing to have the fastest board edge ever
out of the Irasing art Law andMatt Lewis from Monster Games stops by.
Let's talk about the new update forWorld of Outlaws Durk Racing. Keep this
thing going, keep it alive, and keep putting out more content for fans.
(00:26):
All that more. So strap inWelcome to the iRacing down Ship time
her host Greg Wetz. I'm backwith the boys, Kevin, Bobby and
Chris Leonie. We got a greatshow for you today. We got a
console release we're going to talk aboutgreat special guest Matt Lewis from Monster Games
is going to be joining us andregaling Kevin with all the updates that are
(00:47):
in the twenty twenty three edition ofthat title. We're gonna talk about fifteenth
anniversary stuff, some of our specialevents, and Chris is going to wrap
it up with all of our esportsongoings. So how are we doing today?
Boys? Excellent? Excellent? Isgood? Chris, Chris, We're
in a hurry today because Chris,Chris is getting a bed. We are.
(01:07):
Yeah, I scheduled my mattress deliveryfor right about after this show wraps
up, because originally we were scheduledto do it first thing in the morning.
We had to make a schedule change, and so now I am going
to have the fastest Ford Edge everout of the Eye Racing parking one the
second that we wrap up what's upto the cop at the end of Apollo,
Yeah, this would be good. You'll be talking really quick, like
(01:30):
double time through the esports updates, right, don't I do that already?
It'll be Chris double time, whichis like there, all right, Well,
in the name of expedients, let'sget right into it. What's up
an eye Racing? According to Chris'soutline, fifteenth anniversary, Kevin, I
saw you see anniversary? Happy anniversary? Uh? Pretty exciting. Uh,
(01:53):
it's great that we've been around. We've been around what twenty years? Been
for fifteen that's right, we wereWe were formed in two thousand and three.
We went live with our product intwo thousand and eight. Didn I
do my math? Right? Goodmen? Pretty good? Right now?
I've been rehearsing so fifteen years. We've come a long way. Anybody that's
been around that long knows that.I mean, not that it wasn't great
(02:16):
when we launched in two thousand andeight, but we had a few thousand
customers then, right, it waswe were pretty small. We were like,
yeah, this is cool. Hopefullythis takes off. I think it's
turned into something that's been pretty worthwhile. It's been pretty fun to be around
for as long as I have beento see us, you know, go
from development studio to launch to youknow, to a small, little niche
(02:38):
thing. And and now, Imean sim Racing is still a niche product.
Right. We're not totally mainstream, but we're getting there and it's been
fun. So we're doing a fewthings to celebrate that. Right. There's
four different series that have been runningsince the beginning of August, and I
don't have the names in front ofme, but that's okay. Let's all
running og content, right, checkit out. You can earn an award
(03:01):
I think if you do all fourof them, right, So, and
I think there's some some credits tobe handed out randomly for people who participate,
So that's always fun. What elseare we doing? We are doing
some anniversary credits. So this issomething unique. So basically for every year
that you've well it's a little bitconfusing to explain, right, So based
(03:23):
on the initial start date of youraccount, So if you started in two
thousand and eight, you'll get fifteencredits and you didn't have to keep it
active the whole time, right,So we made it. We wanted to
go out of our way to makeit special for everybody, and we didn't
want to you know, oh,you lapsed for one day because you didn't
have auto renewance, so that doesn'tcount. Basically whenever you joined, whenever
you started. We're counting how manyyears, how many years ago that was,
(03:46):
and you'll get a credit for everyyear. So I'm getting fifteen credits.
How about you? I'm getting four? Oh wait, no, Sorr,
I've worked here for four I'm gettingsix. I'm getting sned Chris,
I think it was twelve twice.Wow, Okay, you're more of an
og than I thought. Oh yeah, he's been around a long time.
He was in middle school when hejoined, I think so. And he
(04:08):
still had that beard. Yes,yes, I did still have that.
You are you are correct? Soanyway, it's a cool program. Check
out the details of this UH storyon the public side in the forums explaining
it all. We just send anemail blast about it in case you didn't
see that, so those will getdeposited. I think on the twenty six,
(04:29):
twenty seven, something like that.I wanted to say twenty six,
but check the forum post that Isupport wrote for us. Yeah, so
towards the end of the month.Anyway, you got it. And the
other thing is, if you youhave to be active. Rights to your
account has to be active. Soif you are listening and your account is
currently inactive but you joined in twothousand and eight, reactivate right now and
(04:49):
you'll get the fifteen credits. Soyou know, there's a little UH sales
promo, too little impetus to signback up. Yeah, and you're just
in time for the buil. Wehave a lot of new content coming that
we're not going to discuss today. We just had a meeting about all this
stuff that's coming, didn't we knowwe can't talk about it. We can
talk about the and the it's gonnabe amazing. Oh and what about that?
(05:15):
And I can't wait to drive on. Yeah, aparently we're trying to
kill listenership on our podcast. Bynow we're just getting hate mail. I
remember Kevin dot Bobby and I dotcom. That's where all of it goes.
Oh, we don't claim to begood at our jobs. They just
keep us around. So all right, moving on. So we've had some
(05:36):
special events recently, most recently Racefor More two point four benefiting the National
MS Society just wrapped up. Iknow this because once again Chris does a
great job on his outlines and makesit so I can just read it off
and thank you for for that,Chris. I appreciate it makes my job
easy. How fun was that event? Though? That was super fun too.
(05:56):
That's my favorite event of the yearbecause it's silly. You can give
penalties, you get to find outteasers about new stuff. Greg Hill comes
on and talks about all kinds ofstuff. There was a video of rain
that's new. We've never done thatbefore. We always get to make fun
of Steve. I get to makefun of Steve a whole lot. Chadkin
Aws brings a lot to the broadcast. Nick Ottinger, former e NASCAR champion,
(06:19):
let's be honest, back is probablystill sore from carrying that team.
He does a great job. Heknows what he's getting into. He knows
that guys on his team are notup to his caliber, but he,
you know, he does carry theteam. He's you know, he he
helps him out. He's coaching him. I was listening on Discord on their
on their channel, and he wascoaching him through the corners and traffic and
(06:40):
spotting. It was well done soand it raised a bunch of money,
right over thirty six thousand dollars. So I think I think we've raised in
the last three years, like somethinglike one hundred and forty thousand dollars to
the National MS Society one events ayear, which is super cool. I
have to admit. I think thethe funniest part this year was, you
(07:02):
know, Chad and checking House andSteve Myers and Nicker. They're down a
lap from an early incident, andI think they're in last or second to
last, and so Chad's donation wasto give the entire GTP penalty field a
drive through penalty almost put them backon the lead lap. It didn't actually
(07:25):
change the standings like at all,but yeah, he penalized. Fun to
watch all of them pull into pitlane like for their drive through. Right,
there was just one after another. It's like, what did they all
run out of fuel? Oh?No, penalties got it? Yep,
it was that was pretty good.It was interesting. This is the first
year they weren't in top split.I think they were like split nine.
So we have a lot of likethe average type members that usually aren't features
(07:48):
on the broadcast. Uh, youknow, having an opportunity to be able
to rating not average people. They'llcome on with average. Okay, average,
I rating fair enough, but Igotta be honestly, the race was
fantastic. Yeah, really might itmight have been cleaner. Who knows.
There wasn't the twenty car pile upon the first time. Maybe there's a
(08:09):
little less stress behind the wheel whenyou know you're just doing it for fun,
trying to raise some money. Likemaybe maybe that changes the mentality of
things, right. I mean Idid kind of go on before the race
and say, all right, guys, just you know, behave please.
You've tried that before and that doesn'talways work either. Oh man stories for
another podcast. Oh oh, wealso take it into those because Chris has
(08:33):
to go ahead as Mattress soon.Yeah, Chriss as Mattress and Yeah,
we got another special event this week, and this one's a little bit different,
and it's a great segue into ourguest because it's on dirt. It's
the Knoxville Nationals on I Racing. This is not your normal special event on
I Racing. This is not aone day affair. This is one of
our supersessions. So you have todo qualifying races throughout the week and score
(08:58):
some enough points. And so ifyou're in the top I believe it's thirty
on the for the Saturday race ofthe Sunday race, if you're in the
top thirty of people that register, you make the main event. And that
Saturday race is going to be broadcastby race Spot. I believe we're cross
posting those on our channels now,so you get an opportunity to race and
on all of I Racing's channels. So that will be incredibly cool. Always
(09:20):
a good event for us. Werealways trying to find more ways to have
events like this on I Racing. While we're talking about Derek Kevin, let's
talk about the news other news forWorld of Outlaws the new console tunnel.
Yeah, Tuesday, which was yesterday, when we're recording. But I don't
know when this is going out,but Tuesday of this week we uh set.
(09:41):
The twenty twenty three update came out, hit the hit the virtual shelves.
So the updates available at the PlayStationand Xbox stores. It's got the
Extreme Outlaw Midget series. Uh,It's got three new tracks including Chili Bowl,
uh driver updates, all kinds ofstuff, taroffs, tear offs.
Matt Lewis from Monster Games is goingto be our guest, right, and
(10:03):
he will get into detail on itbecause he knows it way better than we
do. But it's pretty exciting, been well received so far. But yeah,
let's let's bring Matt in. Iguess right. Yeah, it's weird
because you know, we just recordedMatt. He did, so I don't
know what he says. Yeah,I know more now than I knew during
the interview. It's a it's likeinception. But anyway, without further ado
(10:28):
from Monster Games, Matt Lewis allright, Kevin and I are back with
our next guest. Matt Lewis joinsus from Monster Games. Matt, thanks
for thanks for making time. Absolutely, thank you guys for having me.
I'm excited to talk through some stuff. That's a pretty big week, pretty
big week. Uh. Coincidentally, just launched our twenty twenty three update last
(10:52):
night for Sony Microsoft went really reallywell. We're excited about the midgets,
having the Extreme Outlaw Midgets in thegame and the Chili Bowl and yeah,
it's been really positive so far.So for those of those people like myself
who just met you three minutes agoand honestly had never had any conversation ever
(11:15):
before this, let's talk you knowwhat is World ab Outlaws. Some people
don't know that this is just asecondary release. You know, we had
we had a great, great titlerelease last year and now we're following it
up. Let's talk through maybe thebackstory, the history of the game,
and what's I think we should startsomething else though, Maybe we should introduce
Matt. We haven't introduced our guests. Fine, we should introduce our guests.
(11:35):
How about Matt? You introduce yourself? How about yeah, Matt introduce
your said. Come on, Matt, I'm supposed to be the responsible adult
here. Hey man, I'm justfollowing instructions. Then, So for a
company called Monster Games, which wasacquired by Eye Racing, about oh geez,
what a year and a half agonow a year and a half ago
(11:56):
time Zips. Prior to Monster Games, I was at seven or four Games
working on some NASCAR stuff. Beforethat, I was at THEA Sports for
what feels like an eternity, Itwas what fifteen something years. I used
to work on the NASCAR games overthere, So connecting the dots. The
guy who hired me way way backat EA, actually he was a former
(12:18):
of the Pirates guy. Worked onNASCAR for about seven or eight years through
all the NASCAR Thunder, so fromlike NASCAR Thunder two thousand and two through
two thousand and eight, and thenmoved into more sort of marketing and publishing
and licensing and that side of thebusiness more on the production side. Moved
(12:39):
up here to Charlotte about six orseven years ago to come into seven or
four Games with the NASCAR license, and then had been working more recently with
Monster Games on the Tony Start dirtRacing series. And then that led into
World of Outlaws, which then ledinto our partnership with you guys and being
acquired about year and a half ago. All right, great, and that
(13:01):
that that led to you know, the World of Outlaws released last year,
and now our most recent update.Yeah, so we shipped the original game
September of last year, and youknow, at the time, we kind
of had a DLC plan that tookus to the end of that year,
(13:22):
focusing obviously mostly on sprint cars andlate models. On the initial game,
there was some other sort of smallerseries, but then we added umps,
we added some more tracks, weadded big blocks, and just saw this
like incredible passion from that fan base, and so you know, we kind
of put our heads together and figuredout what can we do to kind of
(13:43):
keep this thing going and keep italive and keep putting out more content for
the fans. And so most recently, as I said, just last night,
we put out another update. Weintroduced the Midget series, which is
relatively new for World About Loss. They they brought them on board about a
(14:03):
year and a half or so ago. So we've added them to the game,
added another three additional tracks, paintsteams, new drivers, And I
just heard from mister John Schneider thathad a really good night last night for
for online participation and engagement. Wehad like our third best night we've ever
had, so super positive. Soundslike everybody's everybody's digging what we did,
(14:26):
and uh, we're happy to doit. No. I was watching social
media last night. It was absolutelyblowing up. There was a ton of
ton of a ton of people talkingabout it and the midget coming to the
title is a nice change of pace. I know Kevin and Steve on the
marketing call right before this, Kevinand Steve Myers were raving about how fun
it was. Now Kevin, Idon't know that he can actually get around
(14:48):
the track, but you you soundedlike you were having fun with it,
right. Yeah. Well I didwhat everybody else did. I downloaded it
last night and jumped right on,and of course I had to go and
you know, futh rottle and seeif I can make it around the tra
which I eventually did. But nowit's super fun. I had actually hadn't
played in a probably a couple ofmonths. They played the heck out of
it when we launched back in September. I think, and then, you
(15:11):
know, I go through different gamesand different cycles, probably like a lot
of people, you play them fora while and then you put them aside.
But now I'm back into it sohaving a blast. I'll figure out
how to drive it eventually, soI everybody work on it. I saw
some videos whatever early this morning,if you want to call it, I
guess one or two am of ofLate Models and four tens cooking it around
the chili ball. That was crackingme up. Yeah, literally taking up
(15:37):
the whole track, but they were, they were. It's pretty crazy only
in the video game, right. That's what's great about some racing or video
games is you can do those wildand wacky things. We see it,
you know on eye racing all thetime, the Mount Washington downhill or uphill
and crazy things that you would neverdo. So that's what makes us this
(15:58):
so fun. I think nobody's Idon't think I've seen anybody doing the downhill
Matt Washington in the four tenth sprint, but maybe that's a week thirteen idea.
We should that bad ideas that aremade live during the podcast. Whoever
can do that with zero axces uhbendus a replay and Ken Kevin dot Bobbitt
at eyracing dot com, thank youand thank you. He will he will
(16:21):
take care of you in some capacity. There we go five credits for the
first one that does it. Let'sgo replay Matt. Let's get into you
know, some of the differences. There's more to this, this title,
this release than just adding a singularcar. This is not just a that
single piece of DLC. The updatewalk us through a little bit of you
know what, what makes twenty twentythree different? What can people expect when
(16:41):
they upgrade from twenty twenty two.Yeah, I think well, one of
the sort of gameplay changes, uhthat we added was taroffs. And it's
funny because we've had this this sortof internal discussion more recently about how should
tearoff's work and what button do youput them on? And all the things
that you're sort of figuring out whenyou when you do these design sessions,
(17:03):
right, and you know, aswith anything, I'm sure you guys see
it on the sim side as well, but you put something out and then
it immediately gets good feedback, badfeedback, and people that defend you,
people that don't necessarily right they do. But the funny part was last night,
so I'm listening to these guys andthey're like, you know, we
were mostly controller based. I'd sayeighty percent of our users use controller,
(17:26):
probably higher than that. And it'sit's thumb control, right, So the
tear off button is the up arrowon the dpad, which is literally right
next to your left thumb stick. So I'm watching these guys complaining that,
like, oh, I got totake my hand off the wheel to you
know, take your take a tearoff. And then some guy in one
of the forms is like, youthink it's actually easy in real life,
(17:48):
like driving forwards. But I'm like, yeah, what he said. So
anyway back to your question. Soyou know, that's one of the big
gameplay changes that we added was wastear offs. And it's a very i'll
say, polarizing request, like somepeople really want it, other people who
are like, you know, notnecessarily as thrilled about it. But you
(18:11):
can turn it off, you canadjust it. There's different numbers that you
use based on, you know, how long the races are and stuff like
that. We have new tracks,so Lernerville, the Chili Bowl, which
we talked about, Linked Speedway. It's a really good package for really good
value for the fans. I thinkyou get. You get an entire new
(18:33):
series, three new tracks in thenew drivers, right yeah, in the
sprint cars and late models, youget new drivers, new paint schemes.
Guys that maybe changed cars or updatedtheir paint schemes from last year stuff like
that, So it's sort of ahead to toe refresh. And the cool
part is you don't lose, youknow, any of your career status or
anything like that. You can actuallykeep your saying career safe, you can
(18:56):
add midgets into your existing career.Everything is sort of able to adjust to
what you've already got going on inthe game. So it's really cool.
Yeah, that's a great summary ofit. I'm sorry we're always talking about
each other. That's just that's partof the courser. But the other thing
that I mean, obviously we weretalking about what what came out, but
(19:21):
what's coming right, We've got anotherrelease coming October third, I think.
All right, so we are puttingthe game on the Switch, you know,
just just market wise, we feellike there's an opportunity there, especially
at retail. Fans probably notice thatthe Switch gets more and more shelf space
at retail lately, and it's justthere's a there's kind of a hole in
(19:45):
that in that sector, I believe, on the Switch where there's clearly some
hungry racing fans over there, andthere's not a whole lot of content that
that ends up doing the port,so we're doing that. The way that'll
work is basically that game will release, as Kevin said, October three is
the date for that game, butit will have everything. So in one
(20:06):
purchase you will get the core game, all the DLC that we did last
year, which would be the twentytwenty two season pass, the twenty twenty
three update that we just released lastyear or last night, so everything will
be in that game one purchase, all in the cartridge, ready to go,
and Kevin, if you want moreinformation on and some of the cars
that are all included in the game. We have a landing page that has
(20:30):
a ton of good information, rightwe do. Uh, We built a
well an entire website and it's justa landing page. Right. World of
Outlaws game dot com has everything. It's got all the content, cars,
tracks, drivers, there's videos, you know, teasers so you can see
how the gameplay looks. There's stories, there's I guess we call them tournaments
(20:56):
or challenges each week and we putthose up on their things like that,
so you can and you can reorderthe the switch now as well, right
from that site. So pick yourretailer and go from there. Yeah,
and I've got some car manuals onthere too, get you in the garage,
gets you familiar with you know, what do the adjustments do. So
while it's not quite the depth ofeye racing, it's there's still a lot
(21:18):
going on and there's a lot youcan do in the garage to really customize
the feel the car and it makesa huge difference. You've already seeing some
of these teams working together to reallyto dial in their sets for these new
tracks like Learner, Villain, Chiliboland whatnot. Speaking of setups, maybe
Matt could explain this. So there'sa lot of talk when you when you
read social media and stuff, peoplerun their private leagues this and that,
(21:40):
and a lot of people say it'sa slider league, right, so you
see that all the time. Canyou explain what that means? Because I
see a lot of people try toexplain it and then there's a ton of
probably misinformation out there. So I'llcall it sort of a half step,
right. If you think about thesand and the way that that things are
done on I Racing sad, youknow you can get in there and adjust
(22:00):
everything down to the finest detail wehave that we have that level of detail
as well. But we also havewhat's called the slider. And so the
slider is literally one bar on thesetup screen and you can take it from
most loose to most tight. There'sI believe six or eight different levels that
you can slide that slider two.And so when people say slider only league,
(22:23):
what they're saying is you can usethe sliders to change the setup of
your car. You just can't gointo this super heavy detail page where you
can change. So you don't haveto be an engineer. You don't have
to go in and try to figureout if I want to make the car
tight, what springs do I needto change or what what do I have
to do? You just slide it. Literally slide would do more damage than
good if I went to the Istick to the sliders myself, because I'm
(22:48):
with you. Yeah, I meanon E racing, I mostly run fixed
set up stuff because you know,it's it's not my thing I like to
drive. So but yeah, no, thanks, that that's perfect because I
just do see a lot of peoplelike, oh, joined my league at
sliders and people are like, whatdoes that mean? You know, of
course we're sliding in skirt right, that's what I thought you meant. So
I'm new here though. There wego. You learned something, Greg,
(23:11):
look at that for you know. All right, well, Matt, thanks
for taking the time today, especiallyright after the release. We know you
have a ton going on, butyeah, thanks for taking a few minutes
out of your time to really, let's be honest, put up with Kevin
and I, and for being agood sport and being on camera on the
podcast. And on that note,we'll get back to the show. Appreciate
(23:33):
it, guys. Thanks. Youknow, Kevin, Matt's he's a good
sport. He really is a goodsport. It's nice for it to sit
down with him. Learn more aboutthe World of Outlaws title once again,
Kevin, where can you pick thatup? Well, right now, you
can get the updates from the PlayStationor Xbox store, or you can go
to World of Outlaws game dot comfind out what retailers carry all this stuff,
(23:57):
and and you can pre order theNintendo Switch version there as well.
All right, uh, moving on, we got another special series this weekend
we didn't touch on earlier. Justa reminder, BMW M sim Cup featuring
the BMW GTP and the BMW Mfour GT three. Those are team races.
They're going off this Sunday, Augusttwentieth. That round is at Fuji.
(24:21):
Those have become bigger and bigger eventswith the VCO folks behind him and
really putting on a great show Sunday, Sunday Sunday. Yeah, thanks,
dress are such a blasty in thereand fill the dead space. But hey,
I appreciate it. I apply.So, yeah, you're the VCO
and BMW guy. I know, well, I apologize. It is a
(24:42):
great event and and yeah, yousaid it all I have nothing to add.
All right, Well, I'm gladthat we have. We have covered
the unabridged everything you need to knowabout the BMW M SIM Cup. If
Florien and Tiamo are listening, youknow, Florien's on vacation. I heard,
so I think we're saving He's alwayson vacation. So we'll have a
track to announce coming soon. Thoughwe have the I believe the last round
(25:04):
is TVD. We know what theTVD is. It's I can't say that
yet. We just talked about inthe marketing meeting, but we're not allowed
to say it. Yeah, itwas on an email that Kevin didn't respond
to when he was on vacation,so I just made the executive decision and
said that was okay, We'll gowith it all right. Moving on E
Sports coccolea E NASCAR I Racing Seriesplayoffs have begun. Chris talk us through
(25:30):
it. YEP, playoffs are underway. We got ten drivers, four spots
in the Championship four to go raceon the stage at the NASCAR Hall of
Fame in Charlotte, and after thefirst round of the playoffs at Michigan,
one driver managed to punch that ticket. That is Garrett Low. He's been
on a bit of a hot streak, got wrecked a few weeks ago in
his mind for the win at Nashvilleand has responded by being on an absolute
(25:55):
tear one at New Hampshire, wasrunning up front at the end at Pocono
and on two times carved his waythrough the field through a couple of overtimes.
At Michigan. It's his first timemaking the Championship four despite the fact
that he has been in the playoffsfour out of five times, so you
know, a big step forward forhim. Been very consistent with those with
(26:18):
those playoff appearances. But you knowit's going to be his first time racing
with a shot at that hundred thousanddollars, so it gonna be really cool
to see how he does. Yeah, good time to get hot late in
the year. A great time toget actually paced, to get hot late
in the year. Yeah, lookingforward to see the other three. They're
gonna punch that ticket. Always agood show and the finals Kevin are in
(26:41):
Charlotte, right, they are inCharlotte at the Hall of Fame. We
did it first time last year. They're in September this year. Right,
we moved it up to the endof the September little bit earlier, So
looking forward to that. And that'salways always it was a great event last
year. It'll be a great eventthis year. I'm sure. It's really
cool when we can get Drys upon stage, get a crowd out there.
(27:03):
You know, Drew and the andthe whole production team do a great
job of integrating you know, thelive cameras there and the crowds and all
that. It just it really it'sa great way to wrap up the season.
So in a really big trophy, like really really big trophy. It's
a large trophy that is well saidlarge. Can it be picked up by
(27:23):
one person? And also is itor is it not taller than Casey Kerwin
who won it last year? Likeasking for a friend? It can be
picked up by two people. Okay, so it is a two person trophy.
It's a two person trophy. Sothat's kind of that's kind of cool,
right, I like it rab geta bigger house. I don't know
we're able to put that. Ithink it sits next to him when he's
in his stream every day. Yeah, I mean that's where I would put.
(27:45):
It's got his face on it.It's pretty cool. So we also
have the World of Outlaws Butt KickerLate Model Series powered by I Racing.
Cisco. Somewhere is smiling because Igot that right the first time Chris talks
through it. Yep. Evan cstill your driver to beat for the most
part, but a few other driversstarting to excel right now. Kendall Tucker,
(28:06):
your most recent winner at I fiftyfive, Logan Rumsey now a first
time winner in the series. Blakemcdula is still running up there. Is
stumbled a couple of times, buthe is. He is still pushing there.
He's still a threat to win everyweek. Mondays at nine pm on
Dirt Vision and the I Racing Twitchchannel. Those drivers, you know,
(28:26):
c has been the driver to beatfor quite a while right now, but
he you know, there's some cracksin the foundation. Guys have been able
to get past him for victories anddrop him to second, drop him to
third, and you know, youstart getting hot in the second half of
the season, and you just neverknow what's gonna happen. We're seeing We're
seeing that across all forms of racingright now, aren't we. And we
(28:48):
also have the the I Racing offRoad series that's wrapping up next weekend.
We got a heck of a titlebattle there as well, yes we do.
Defending champion Connorberry still in the lead. Keaton Swayed, who was runner
up last year, had in leadingthe points for quite a while, has
had a couple of issues here andthere, you know, just things that
have bounced him down the order. But really interesting. So the four top
(29:11):
drivers, two of them were firstand second in the points last year.
Two of them are two of thethree top rookies that came in, Jared
Liebert and Joel Blewett. So reallyit's always interesting when you have a championship
series like that where half of theguys who are in the fight for the
championship are the guys who have beenthere, and then half of them have
never been there, you know, haven't been at that level, haven't been
(29:33):
that fast, you know. Soit's going to be really interesting to see
in these final few rounds who wasable to assert themselves. Wild Horse passes
the first of the two, andthat's the smallest track on the schedule,
it's the highest contact, and thenit all wraps up at Crandon, you
know, the big House, thebiggest track, the most prestigious track.
So it's going to be really interestingto see if Connor Barry can do it
(29:53):
again, if Keaton Swain can fighthis way back, or if one of
the two rookies can show them bothup. And then to wrap things up,
and I'm going to get this wrong, Chris, so I'm just gonna
have you say, the Turn RacingSeries, you can do it. It
is the Grand Prix Turn Racing,Eye Racing qualifying series that's wrapping up.
(30:15):
Correct production. Thank you Cisco,Thank you Cisco. I hope that pops
through on the broadcast. That andthe Porsche Taghier Esports Super Cup qualifying series
both coming down to the wire. We're gonna have some really great new rookies
in both of those championships. Thosebroadcasts have been popping up throughout the week
(30:36):
as well, So if you're interestedin seeing the future of our top Open
Wheel and GT championships, that's whereto look. A lot of great racing
and eye racing. You know. That's something I don't think people really understand
is the depth of e Sports offeringsthat we have, and then the number
of championships and the size of theprize first that goes out on a yearly
(30:56):
basis. There's a great chance torun the cash on iRacing. If you
have the skill set, you cando it. So all of these are
are able. Anybody from the communitycan qualify in through the appropriate steps.
There's these are not pre qualified things, so something to pay attention for,
especially going in the twenty twenty four. If that's something that's interesting and you
check out the forms, find outmore and get involved, get racing.
(31:19):
We'd love to love to see it. To see out there. But and
on that note, I think it'stime to let Chris go get his mattress.
Yeah, because the guy has calledme twice and already texted me that
he's going to be there in threeminutes. So thank you for the morning
welcoming down your brow that's nervously anxiety, and also get out of here.
Thank you for sticking around, Chris, Thanks for listening to the I Racing
(31:42):
downshif don't forget it's a rate reviewand subscribe to an Apple podcast, Spotify
