Speaker 1 (00:06):
This week on the I Racing Downship, we look ahead
at the twenty twenty five season four bill, talk about
three new games coming from I Racing Studios, and get
our respective degrees and time travel all this and more
just strap it.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Welcome to the I Racing Township. Tomyhill's Greg West, I'm
back to the boys, Kevin, Bobby, Chris, Leoni and sound
got Sean Hey, Sean, Hey, I don't I usually I say,
We've got a great show planned for you.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I have no idea what's about to happen.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
I'm gonna be completely honestly, Tony, if you're listening, I'm
sorry to dance, but we're gonna go through. We got
a lot of I Racing news.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
We got build coming up.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
We do have a build coming.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Got a bill coming up. We got a couple of
games that are about to be released. Yeah, on top
of a bill.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Pretty exciting.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
We got a new game to.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Gee.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
This is happening in the future but also in the
past all the same time. This is like really some
fourth dimensional stuff wow going on here.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
It's very deep.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
And then Chris is gonna tell us all about esports
because well Chris is like stat boy.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Does that mean so I've got two outlines here? Does
that mean I can do the old Tony reality end
of around the horn and throw the paper at the
end of the show.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (01:23):
If you could just picture this. When I think of
Chris doing stats, it's like just a wall of spreadsheets
in front of him. And you should come into these
things with that.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Just you remember, can we wheel a whiteboard in?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
No, No Russell chromy the beautiful mind with all the
strings in the newspaper clippings, that's Chris.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
I''m not sure anybody would describe my mind as beautiful,
but I'll take the compliment.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Okay, this is more polite. Wow, I have nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
It's because we're all properly caffeinated.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Before they were trying to be nice and he insulted himself.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Okay, well games, Kevin, what have you been up to?
I won't cut you off?
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Yeah, because Craig always cuts me off. Well let him
want of mine up too. I had a great vacation.
Was in Key West. I did some fish and snorkeling,
all kinds of couple of stuff. Never been to Key West.
A pretty fun place. That is cool. It was hot,
get a sunburn, I didn't get a sunburn because I
used four gallons of SPS fifty, so I am no sunburn.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
No sunburn.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Yeah, but I had a great time. Cool place. Have
you ever in the Keys?
Speaker 3 (02:22):
I am a fan.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
It's pretty neat. Lots to do, especially if you like
being on the water. Recommend being on the water when
you're there in August because it's kind of hot. No
figure the water was hot too, but that's okay. Another story,
but interesting story. I was playing golf the other day
and one of the groundskeepers comes around. He's like, you know,
picking up trash, doing a little mo and he's like,
I racing. You guys play I racing. I'm like, uh yeah,
(02:47):
sort okay, yeah, more familiar with the game. He's like,
oh you call it a game. Well that's what he said, right,
He's like, oh, I love it. So when when's NASCAR
twenty five coming out, I'm like, oh pretty soon. He's like,
I've watched all the dev diaries. I've followed everything. He
knew everything was going on. The groundskeeper at the golf
(03:08):
course he's a college kid working there for the summer,
and we were like, so we actually worked for the company.
He's like no, you don't. We're like, yeah, we're based
just down the road. He's like, no, you're not. He's like,
I got to go, and he had to go like
do more of his work. And he comes back like
two holes later, he's like, I looked up. You guys
really are from trumps for it.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I'm like, yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
He was so excited. It was awesome to meet somebody
that was so enthusiastic about it and literally has seen
everything we've put out on NASCAR twenty five. He cannot
wait until it comes out. And that's kind of the segue.
That's a general vibe. People are super excited about the game,
and you know, it's one of many projects we have
going on, but I'm super excited about it, and it's
great to see that people out there in the in
(03:48):
the you know, in the wild, are actually paying attention
and anxious to see the game. So that's my my
fun story from.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
That's what I'm not allowed to cut you off on that.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
I wanted to tell all the story. Oh okay, it's
a pretty good story, right, had you shoot them pretty good? Actually?
I think I don't remember my score. It was good
score though, I beat Steve. That's all that matters, right,
That's all that matters. So absolutely, Christopher.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Let's see a lot of stuff with Emily. She's been
growing a nice little vegetable garden in the backyard. So
the cucumber has been really, really good. I've just been
trying to help her take care of that. We did
our annual Roaring Twenties lawn party of the stage comes.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
I've grown cucumbers. It involves pouring some water on them.
They're pretty self sufficient.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
It's been ninety out a lot.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Man.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Pouring some water is a bit of an understatement. I've
been out there becoming an irrigation expert, okay, you know.
And then Real world race cars have been working with
some people to bring a form of racing to real
world Crandon on Labor Day weekend. That has never happened
there in fifty six years. So really excited about that.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Can you say what it is?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
So I think if you can follow the breadcrumbs, and
if you know literally the first thing about out my career,
you can probably figure out what.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Is dropping without the name.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Well, you guys criticized me for all the name dropping
last time, so I'm gonna I'm gonna keep it to
one shout out to my girl Gray Ledbetter finally got
a podium in the pro light at bark River. Proud
of her, been working real hard with her over the
past year, and you know she's finally got the truck and.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Taking it to grant a podium, is what you're saying. Oh, totally, yeah,
well well done Christ Christ. Yeah, she's been on the SIM.
I've been racing with her. She's doing great. She's really
she's really getting faster using the SIM. So that's exciting.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
We like that.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
We do.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Well.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
How about you, Greg, What are you been up to?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
It's been a little crazy. Smith. The Smith summer in Europe.
That was a lot of fun. Got to go to
the I guess since we've done a last podcast, I
got invited to speak at the FA Global Conference in.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Macau, Macaw. That was a long way away from here.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
That's a ways away and they lost all my luggage
and it was a it was a whole thing. But
that was fun.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Smith summer in London. That was a good time.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
And just got back out to drive Hankle's Legends cars.
Oh yeah, nice, the I Racing Legends, I.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Racing Legends car. I watched the in car footage afterwards embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Because you were so fast or because you are that.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
It's absolutely not. No, it was, uh, well.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
It's not your car. First time driving it got to go.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I got a little squirrely a couple of times. I
gave myself a three strikes rule.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Yeah and uh yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
After that, I was like, I'm bringing this.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
I can't wreck your friend's car. That's a bad look.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I've made a decision and I've reached this the age.
I've decided I don't need a race car anymore.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Well, you're getting old, apparently. Yeah, I'm good. I've I've
says the old guy on the podcast.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I've done enough things and to have induced adrenaline. Adrenaline
I don't need. I don't need anymore. So I think
I'm happy with golf and tennis and running and those
those will be my activities.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
All right.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
One more thing that I should probably say on the
podcast take shot. No, it is my anniversary. So I
have the anniversary to my lovely wife Laura thirty years.
Thirty years, which I'm not that old everybody. I just
got married really really young.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Kevin Hady, I've seen pictures.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I did have air at my wedding years ago, not anymore.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
So I don't look at me for a com man.
I'm gonna jinx myself if I say anything.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
So we'll find out if Laura actually listens to the podcast. So, oh,
there you go.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I'm gonna go with though.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
She listens to me enough, she doesn't need to hear
a recording of me.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
No she doesn't.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
She smiles, and yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
All right, well let's get into it. I Racing News.
We got twenty twenty five season four build coming out.
We've got some new cars, got a real big new track.
Let's let's get into it. Chris asked Martin GT three.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yep, the aston Martin Vantage GT three evo, Wow do
we have the bell?
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Any?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Mean?
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Yeah, thank you, thank you, be honest.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
How long ago did you look that up? Well?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
I mean I wrote the copy for it last week.
Oh okay.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
So, and of course have the misunderstanding because I wrote
it wrong in the first copy submission that I did.
I think I wrote it disvantage AMR. But I digress
and I got told. I got told. No, No, that's
not how we're naming it.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
I just copy paste from the spreadsheet. Yeah, I never
These things are no no, yeah, and that was my error.
I I just went off the off the top of
my head and off Wikipedia.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yep, yet another GT three.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
This is definitely one of the ones that people have
been asking for. Obviously, the Aston has been around for
quite some time, you know, in in professional GT Motorsport,
big storied brand, a lot of great teams, you know,
representation in IMSA representation, and a lot of the other
major GT three championships around the world. It's going to
(08:35):
be a fun car. I think people are going to
be really excited to finally be able to add that one. Obviously,
the brand has been represented in GT four for quite
some time, so the latest brand that we're able to
be able to say, hey, they're represented in both now.
So those Aston brand loyalists have got to be pretty
excited about this one.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
No, I think it's gonna be a good one to add.
It's gonna reas offle us a little bit a couple
of series. We're limited to six teen cars now. This
is funny because when I started here, we were pushing
for eight. In the fact that we have sixteen different.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
When I started we had one.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Well, but I am old, you are old, you race
t Rexes and stuff like that. So the ASTON will
be joining IMSA, the AUDI will be will be dropped
from IMSA. Okay, the AUDI will still be in all
the other g T three which is.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Eligible, but doesn't race there in the real world exactly.
There's nobody pushing it out there, so you can still
use it in I Racing and and wherever else you
want to use it, you know, in other series, but
not part of the series.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Correct, I mean we have GT three Racing is a
massive part of our service, so it'll still be available there.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
But yeah, excited to see it come in.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Uh and Sean Shohn's going to go record it this week.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Right, I am, yes, that is Have you already done it? Actually?
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Well, well, yeah, this podcast is next week. As you're listening,
it was last week to you. It's like some port
the missions a Quantum Mechanics.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
How did it go? Pretty well? It went very well. Yes,
So it's not like one of those sound recordings we've
done where they.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Wrecked the car.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Oh man, I don't say that, Yeah, that already happened.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Our crash damage noises are really realistics, not to mention,
not to name names. Yeah, no, I'm sure in the
future and were the past when this weapon.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
It went very well and sounded fantass swimmingly.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
So and then Kevin, we got another one new open wheelers,
something that has been long requested.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Indy Next, Indy Next, It's coming right. Awesome open wheel
car sort of the the entry point into Indy Cars.
So a lot of up and coming drivers work their
way through that after doing some other, uh sort of
lower level open wheel move up the next. Great sounding car.
A lot of gurgles off cars, a lot of gurgles.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I saw a look last race I went to IndyCar
Race Road America. We were at the turn five and
so they're, you know, they're off throttle going downhill.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Account in my head with yeah, which one was five?
Speaker 3 (11:02):
And out of.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
All of the vehicles there, and there were a lot,
the aisle fifteen has the best off throttle pops and
gurgles and back zone there. Yeah, and so I'm pretty
excited about.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
That'd be great to have it. People have been asking
for that sort of level of car, and I racing
to kind of complete that ladder will be awesome. I
think it's gonna be super popular.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, So we're gonna have We're gonna do something a
little clever with that, at least I think. So we're
gonna have two series with it. Ok, we're gonna have
and both are fixed. I'm gonna hear it in the comments.
But we want to start off with the best opportunity
for success. So there'll be a road series and an
oval series at the C level that are fixed up
for this car. The PM eighteen will no longer have
(11:43):
a road series at C, but is still available for
the open wheeled junior at the D level, So you
can race the USF and the PM at dspending on
rot or oval. Then you go to C and you
race the Indie next, and then you go to B
and you race the Indy car.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Oh, we got it.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
We have a solid US makes sense to me, works
works for me. Let's run it for a season how
and see how it goes. We can always adjust right.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
And always adjust. But that's that's where we're going to
start out.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
I like it a new track.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
You could probably take it to though, Chris Auto, Dromo,
Hermanos Rodriguez, Mexico City ding fing fantastic, fantastic track and
high altitude, high altitude. Yes, But my favorite part about
this I think we have seven different layouts coming for this,
including the oval, including some of the various layouts that
(12:34):
it's been used.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
For in all sorts.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
There.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yeah, there's an oval there.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Oval ish olish it It's it's a weird it's an
ovalish Okay. It is technically circular, all.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Right, all right, not a traditional NASCAR oval, so they
get more like knock hill. Okay, all right, all right.
I knew there were seven, but I didn't realize there
was an ovalish one. That's allot to check it out. Yeah,
we're making up wards. It's Tuesday. Normally we do these
things on.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Yeah, decided, Sorry guys, Kevin Texi's like.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
I really don't want to come in on Tuesday. That
was just a private text between you.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
But now to get back to the track, I mean,
it has hosted so many different series over the years. Obviously,
you know the Mexico City Grand Prix, big event there,
it's had history with NASCAR. NASCAR went there for the
first time this year back in the champ Card days,
was a staple of that calendar. It's just got such
an incredible history, so many different cars. It's going to
(13:35):
be really cool for us to be able to take
some cars that don't run there anymore in their modern iterations,
and be able to take down the probably.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Track, so pretty much we could use it in almost
any series.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah, it's going to be across the board. I think
it's it's one of these. You know, we've had some
that aren't popular, some that aren't popular. This one's gonna stick.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
The stadium section is just so cool, so cool, it's Yeah,
I really think this one's gonna stick. I love street courses,
I like consequences. I yes, that's a good thing. So
I'm excited for people get their hands on it. But
a ton of fun art team absolutely killed it on this,
so yeah, excited to debut that during Week thirteen. Kevin
(14:18):
greg Hill's debt blog, which as of recording.
Speaker 4 (14:21):
Isn't out, but it should be out as of posting
of this, so I hope you're enjoying reading it.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
It's a good debt blog that I haven't read yet.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
City excellent. I'm about to edit it. It's I'm sure
it's excellent. A lot of good information in there. Allegedly,
Society Right does a great job on the dead blogs
keeping everybody informed as to what's coming. What's coming in
this build, maybe some what's coming in the future, kind
of an overall look of I racing, So look for that.
We could probably put a link in the description. Link
(14:48):
in the description somehow what episode numbers this? By the way,
sixty five.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
We're in the sixties. I can't do fingermath right now.
That's that's more sixty five.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
Ish, sixty five ish, yeah, ovalish yeah, oblish.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
But anyway, sixty four just so all bases are covered,
all right, Well, there we go.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Sixty four is a good number. That's our default number, right, yes,
it sure is, tim So anyway, check out Greg Hill's
dev blog on the site at a lot of good.
There's always good. Folks don't know what's in it yet,
so yeah. Uh.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
And then we have the handwritten in number five that
I'm adding that Chris did know about.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
But we have some changes coming up to some other.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
New couple of new series, some some license changes, things
like that. Pretty excited about this, but I think it'll
be a little controversial in the forms.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Yet people will like it. We like controversial, We love controversy.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Yeah, marketing and warn all about it, yes, illicit an
emotional response.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
There we go. What's a controversy.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Greg well, with off of the success of the the
fIF FUR regional series and the growth overall growth of
driving it in that series, we are going to do
something with the ten tops very similarly. We're going to
do it at the GT three level. We're going to
have the three regional GT three series the same format Americas,
Europe and Asia Pacific, and that'll kick off.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Full full GT three field.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
You want to do yep, fixed setups, and they're running
thirty minutes offset of the regular fixed and open session
or open series that run the thirty minutes.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
So no, no pidding, no nothing, just go.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
So it'll be the same, the same format as the
regular FIX series, but they're thirty minutes off.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Oh so if you miss registration.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
For the global you can jump in one of the
regional series or vice versa.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
The number of people participating in GT three is massive
compared to F four And we.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Definitely have the poteat again. Even though they're regional championships
are open to anybody.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Anybody can raise them.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
It's not GEO blocked, So if you live in North
America and the time slot in Europe or that's whatever,
you can do that.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
One absolutely the only catches we run them on the geographically.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
You have the server thing, yeah, service on for.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
The Europe series, you know, Sydney service for Asia, Pacific,
et cetera. Uh So, pretty excited about that. A couple
of the license changes, this one will catch people out
a little bit. But for our R two ninety six
challenge going up to sea level, the car's just got
too much power for the D level going from Miatas
to that thing, it's a little bit of a step.
So we're going to take that up to see that
all run similarly to the you know, same format, kind
(17:13):
of like the Porscha Cup. At the sea level, we
have a we're pretty heavy with ten tops at the
at the D level anyway, So some changes coming Greg,
he'll probably going to cover some more in his dev
blog that we've already talked about.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
That's out now ish by the time you hear this. Well,
the good news even up with the Ferrari movement of
a plus, you got time to if you're at d
you can move it up. You'll see within the timeframe
of hearing our podcast and that change happening, it's a
couple of weeks. Yeah, you got plenty of time to
run four races or clean races basically yep, and you're
going to get there.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Ye, all right, and then let's see here special events
race for the Cure for benefiting the MS Society happened
on Wednesday night, and then we had other races on Friday,
raise over twenty thousand dollars.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
Nice job everybody, Great job by the community.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Steve Myer's only nine incidents driving it solo for two
hours impressive, and I think he only got like two
or three drive through penalties not his fault, no, no, no,
people fought, people fought drive through penalties for him. I
think he finished fifteenth or sixteenth or something like that,
so solid drive from him. Pretty happy about that. And
(18:21):
then we had the port Tomyowa one thousand this weekend,
throwing it back hpd GT one GT two, A couple
thousand people racing in that as well, even with some
older content, and I've already seen it in the forums,
people like, oh please bring this back.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
I know that Seth from the marketing team is definitely
going to be in there because that's his favorite classic car.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Pretty sure that there was a paint scheme making fun
of me and making front of Seth in that race.
He sent me a photo of it. So but yeah,
glad to make that happen. I can go ahead and
tell you that event will be back in some form
or fashion, whether it's a port tomyow or somewhere else.
We're going to use those cars for a special event
next year. You can count on it, and then Chris
(18:59):
can talk about it.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Crandon again talking past tense about the future. I did
a bunch of these races from the I Racing office
with keenankusan Aerotech calling them in the in the I
Racing studios and me competing in the sim rig And
I am just gonna say right now, I drove fantastic.
I have never driven better in my life then I've driven.
(19:24):
Didn't win anything, but.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
This is a good prediction.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
Yeah, yeah, no, I didn't. I didn't make a fool
of myself. How about that.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
I didn't make a fool of myself on the track
off the track. I do that daily, and you know
that's true. But that's that's a different thing. That's a
different thing.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
Anyway.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
I am absolutely nothing. Ah.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
And the special event coming up other than Crandon is
the Indy six Hour for him. So so that'll be
kicking off. You'll have a Bop announcement sometime later this week.
As this comes out lovely perfect?
Speaker 3 (20:01):
What you do in a hand signal?
Speaker 4 (20:02):
Did I miss something?
Speaker 1 (20:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (20:05):
I'm really confused right now.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
You guys are looking at me with expectations and we
should not do that.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
No, but we're free to talk about that.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
It's on the list, so good.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
I got just moved and I don't know. You guys like,
I don't give you orders?
Speaker 2 (20:22):
You give me orders with the hands? Where would I
give you order? I Racing Studio's website is up now.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
I Racing Studio site. I don't Did we talk about
it on the last podcast. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
In a minute so we can talk about it again.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
But anyway, it's our it's our news site that covers
all of the products that that were involved in in making.
So obviously I Racing dot Com is I racing dot
com and you will find everything you need to know
about I Racing and how to sign up and all
that on I Racing dot com. Same for the other
products that may that we make. They all have their
own individual game site which we're about to talk a lot,
(20:55):
and we're going to talk about but I Racing Studios
is a place where you can find out about a
little bit about everything we do. Right, we needed to
explain what's the difference between I Racing the game the
sim versus iRacing the publisher. So I Rising Studio is
where you can find out that sort of information. So
check it out when you have a chance. I Risking
Studios dot com.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
And is there gonna be some probably new information.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
You're probably going to be updating it right after we
finished recording this most likely.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
So and on that notes, you know some of the
things that we're going to update it with NASCAR twenty.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Fast twenty five, which obviously we've already been talking about
and is slated to come out on October fourteenth of
this year. We're getting close to launch, right, so now's
the time we're talking about it more. We can show more.
You know, I know that the community has been begging
to see stuff, but.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
That's putting it.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
This is the way development goes of games, is that
it's a it's a long, arduous process and you can't
really show much until you're close to the end.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
It comes together.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
So late.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
It's like the arts always the last thing.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
And you can't show stuff that's incomple early because then
it just it sets the wrong tone. People think there's
things wrong with it. You know, we could be working
on physics and using you know, a soapbox derby car
to check the physics, but the graphics don't match, you
know it. There's all kinds of things that you just
can't show until you're close to the end. And now
(22:17):
we're at that point. We just did a special preview.
We invited some community members, some influencers to a special
event in Charlotte to show them, give them a sneak peek,
give them an experience, a NASCAR experience, and the and
they got to see it. The feedback's been fantastic. You'll
start to see more content coming out. We've got we've
(22:39):
got some things coming. I can't get too specific, but
in the coming weeks you're going to see a lot
of stuff about NASCAR twenty five.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
So is there going to be more out about NASCAR
twenty five by the time.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
This air is in a week? I believe the covers
out by then, Ah, that should be out.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
Yes, I was thinking we can't say that yet, but
this is coming out of the end fourth mentioned the title. Yes, yeah,
so yes, I hope you guys enjoy the cover. It's
pretty cool, I think so. I haven't actually seen the
final Well, you will have seen it on Saturday, this
past Saturday, but the future Saturday, the future past Saturday.
You will have seen that, seen the cover. It's confusing
(23:15):
future past. I don't even have to say that. Yeah,
but we did release the soundtrack. Pretty cool stuff on that, right,
everybody got a favorite song?
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Oh yeah, go feel the Pain Dinosaur Junior liar, jelly.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Roll, Oh yeah, jelly Roll. Huh yeah did I tell
you I saw Jally Rolling concert? Yes? You told us
on the podcast. I thought we did talk about that.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
Anyway, Eddie Rabbit driving My Life Away classic right, how
you Can in Out?
Speaker 2 (23:39):
And everybody skipped over Molly Hatchet because he didn't want
to be the person that said Molly Hatchett.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
It's a good song though. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
When's it coming out? Kevin?
Speaker 4 (23:48):
October fourteenth on on UH PlayStation and Xbox and then
PC PC. We don't have an exact date. We're trying
to get it on that date, but hashtag soon, hashtag
soon to be right around then, maybe the same day, maybe,
you know, right around the.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Things I'm also learning is it console and PC? Timing
that up together is very difficult.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
So the other question people ask is what about pre sale?
I don't have an exact date yet, but typically in
the game industry it's about a month before release. So
if you do the math, you can kind of get
an idea when that should probably happen. But that hasn't
been set stone yet. Okay, how was that for a
vague sort of direct answer.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
I think you covered all the all that I did.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
I get everything. I went out of order, but he
did go out of order. But I'm freestyling. I'm here,
you know, freaking Did you say free styling?
Speaker 3 (24:35):
He did say freestyling?
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Is that not a thing anymore?
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Full boomer?
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Absolutely full boomer. I have been married for thirty years.
I was so I think what they say that was
so mid. I don't even know that.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Greg's got the backwards hat on too, so he's got
all always.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Have the backwards.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
Gregg's feeling old, so he put his hat on backwards.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
To feel you do, fellow kids, I guess this one's
me I racing arcade news all right, What's I Racing Arcade?
Speaker 4 (25:04):
What is I rasing arcade? Well, let me tell you
what I Rasing Arcade is.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
We announced it about a year ago and then people
have been berating us saying it's as like as it exist.
We haven't put out anything. By the time this podcast releases,
there'll be a teaser video out, a website, a website,
a Steam page where you can wish list it that has.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
A lot more screenshots on it, and some video.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
But we're very excited about that and I'm going to
just get it out there, coming this fall.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
This is not a twenty twenty six thing. This is
coming hot on the heels of NASCAR twenty five.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
But yeah, coming this.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
Fall, all right. Elevator pitch thirty seconds describe the game.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
It's cute, fun and approachable racing that you do just
with a controller. It's Mario Kart meets sim City, and
it's just fun. It makes you want to just reach
in the game and pick up you can't even see
me reaching right now, just like pick.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Up the cars and want like little models of them.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
But it's just agree. It is super fun. I've been
fortunate enough to play a little bit of a on
the on the beta.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Well, what have you driven.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
I've driven, because it's all licensed content. I've driven several crawls.
I've driven a Fiat that's like the starter car. I've
driven the F four f I a F four car,
driven a Porscha Cup car, and I've driven an Imse
GTP car. And they all drive completely different, so they
have different challenges, right, some of them momentum. Don't touch
the bricks. In the Fiat, you'll never get back up
(26:30):
to speed, right. Others have tons of power. They're all
super fun though, and and it's I mean, I'll say
it's gaming, but in a fun way. Right, it's not
a hardcore sim but it's addictive, like you just want
to do lap after lap after lap and try to
beat the next guy in the leader board.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Yeah, the time trial leaderboards internally have been a badge
of honor.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
So just like everything else here and iras, I see
Steve and I'm like, I gotta get to see Steve.
It's actually pretty good. He's really good. So it's hard.
It's a challenge, but that's my motivation. I don't care
anybody else on the board affecking the team. I feel
like it's a good day.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Once the vehicle production guys jumped in there, they got
harder because they just started figuring out every little Yeah,
it's it's it's really a love letter to racing though
it's it's physics based. But it's like I said, the
characters are cute. Though the characters are cute, the cut
scenes are great. Yeah, yeah, and we're really excited for
it to come out this fall. Once again, go ahead
and wishlessen on Steam. There are going to be some
(27:27):
incentives for I Racing members if you purchase.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
I Rasing Arcade.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
We have a way to tie the accounts together and
you may or may not have a little incentive on
I Racing if you if you do purchase Irasing Arcade.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
So more news on that later.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
But Kevin, we have another game that as of right
now is not public, but as of when this podcast
comes out, will be public.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
That is correct, right, So everybody knows we're we have
the license to build the NASCAR games and we're doing that.
That's NASCAR twenty five. But we're excited to announce that
we now have the license to build the next indie
car game.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Get out.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
Pretty cool, right?
Speaker 3 (28:02):
How far have we come? It's happening. It's happening, happening.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
So that is a twenty twenty six probably fall ish release,
early in DEV, early death, early and early dev. Although
it is, it's it's early, not so early that we
don't have something. So testing has already begun. We've got
a drivable model. Nothing. We can have a real world
IndyCar driver that's helping us out. Yeah. Scott McLaughlin is
super jazzed about the project. We've been talking to him.
(28:29):
He's got some great ideas. He obviously knows the car
pretty well. He's right, yeah, he does. Okay, right, okay.
From I'm sure that we will get other drivers involved.
We have a lot of people in the paddock that
we're pretty friendly with. We won't name names yet, but
sure somebody from Aaron mccla If you've listened to the podcast,
you may have heard some of them on the podcast.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
It might be our next guest on our next podcast.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Yeah. So you know, we aim to have all the
all the teams, all the drivers, so that's the goal.
It'll it'll be uh obviously the indiecar. We're going to
have the next car in there as well, so there'll
be a bit of a ladder system. More to come
on that, but the announcement should have already gone out
by the time this podcast, well it has to now
that I've talked about you. Yeah, we're going on the
(29:12):
podcast until that goes out, so but that should go
out next week. The announcement anyway, I.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Would say those those are pretty solid plans we have
for that announcement there.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely so, but really excited, you know. And
something to note is that, you know, we have multiple
teams working on projects, right, so there's some synergies and
we can share some things, but we have dedicated teams
working on the IndyCar project, dedicated teams working on the
NASCAR twenty five project, ofg working on Iriginal Fire Games.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Yeah, I should have, you know, I feel compelled. I
want to go back to say that.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yeah, so Original Fire Games is helping us out develop
erasing Arkide. They're fantastic to work with. If you have
not seen their other titles, go check out Circuit Superstars
on Steam. It's a kind of an overhead view super cute.
I'll give you a pretty good idea of the visual
aesthetic there were go going for. But they make they've
made some really cool games. Go check out Circuits Superstars
on Steam. You will not be disappointed as a cult following,
(30:07):
for sure. Yeah, yeah, so for sure. But we have
all these different teams working on different projects. We do
share some things, right, and we can share resources, whether
it's code, whether it's people. Maybe bounce back and forth,
but we have dedicated teams that are working hard.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
So you know, it's not taking away from Irace. Yeah, Ira,
the Choi product I Racing has grown so much. You know,
when I started we had twenty five people. Now we've
got hundreds of people working on multiple projects.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
We've got twenty five people in the marketing meetings alone, if.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Well, you know it's so yeah, yeah, used to be
a meeting of me, what am I working on? Oh
let me tell you kevn you know, one of those deals.
But yeah, so it's it's exciting to have so many
different projects, great partners involved, right, I mean, NASCAR is
awesome to work with the NASCAR, twenty five indycrs awesome
as well. We have great contacts there, you know, getting
(30:56):
the data, building the cars. It's gonna be awesome. Lot
to come in the next twelve months, I would say
it's going to be busy. It is going to be
absolutely busy. So yeah, did I miss anything on any
cars that No?
Speaker 3 (31:08):
I think you got it all right. I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
I mean, once again we're giving really the elevator pitch
on all three of those accessory games to to I
rasing proper. But there's a ton more information that's going
to come out over the next you know, days, weeks
and months.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
But yeah, excited to put all that stuff out.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Let's cove it over.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
To Esports Sports.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
That's you, Chris.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
NASCAR Series playoff field has been set. You at the
bell for Greg.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
It wasn't even on the outline.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
I did that one from nice Yeah, from extra points
give them two bells.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
So interesting playoff field for this year. Usually, I mean
the Coke Series has always been kind of a win
in your in situation. You have to be above a
certain threshold of the points, but generally speaking, winning you're
in well. Steven Wilson won six races, so more than ever,
it was important to be consistent and get in on
points because we only had five winners in the regular season.
(32:05):
Steven Wilson, Tucker Minnerchente Salad Vicente, Salas.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Bobby Zelenski, Keister. Those are the five who won.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Uh consistency was the key, and three of the guys
who have won titles in the past, Zach Novak, Parker White,
Casey Kerwin. They all got in on points. Jordy Lopez
and Dylan Duval the last two to get on on points.
It's going to be a really interesting four round playoff
set Tuesdays, eight pm Eastern e NASCAR dot Com slash
Live to be able to watch all the action go down.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
Who's the favorite to win it all?
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Probably the guy who's won six races.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
I feel like that.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
I feel like that's a reasonable But.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
The cool thing is in the playoffs, anything can happen, exactly upset,
don't don't sleep on Bobby z boys, don't sleep on
Bobby guys. I I forgot you were here.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Sean coming in with the dark horse pick.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Right, and of course all of those races will be
broadcast by Sean and this team.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
In this very room, in this very room.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Yes all right.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Skip Barber series also continuing with one event remaining.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Yep, Skip Barber Formula I Racing Series. It's been an
exciting battle for those guys. The coolest thing about this
series is that the top points finishers have the opportunity
to go in a shootout to possibly get a ride
in a real world Skip Barber Formula Race Series cars,
so it's always very competitive at the top. Aaron Vasquez
(33:29):
scored double wins at walkins, Glenn cut down the points battle.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Matt J.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Carojuana still the points leader as of this recording. I
believe we have a race that goes down between now
and when this.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
Cod on the Thursday that we normally record this.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Yes, yes, Thursday, the twenty first. Yeah. Again, we're headache.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
We're all getting degrees in time travel from this episode.
The cool news if you want to run the finale
at Circuit of the Americas, you can. Qualifying begins August
twenty ninth.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Me, but he didn't really mean me.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
I'm I'm loud, Italian American. I use my hands on
you got you guys know I have no chance. Visit
Skip Barber dot com for more details on how to
sign up. That is a paid entry event, so keep
that in mind through through Skip Barber.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Through Skip Barber. About the prize pools, I mean.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
It's short money to get in and you'll win.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yes, year of racing. Yea, yeah, yeah exactly.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
I mean not bad obviously, if this is the first
time you're doing it, you're not going to go win
that seat in the real car.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
But give it a try.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Stack exactly exactly, see how you stack.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Up, and then you know for the future, you'll know
where you stand against some of the best in the world.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
It's got one of the coolest prize packs of all
the youth sports. Yes, yeah, I mean, gosh is king,
Don't get me wrong, but it's seemed the reality is creating.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
So yeah, uh f F I a F four qualifying update.
I'm looking through the window of Justin Malolo, who writes
all those Hey Justin.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Hi Justin.
Speaker 4 (34:54):
Yeah, we probably should have called we had him on
the podcast yet.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
Oh yeah, we did episode fifty three for Justin We
How do you know that? Because I purposely picked the
episode with his car number in the sim.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
And how do you know that? It's my car number?
Fourteen thirty six? Wow, A little bit impressed.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Wow, do you guys know how much work I do
with the AI rosters behind the scenes? Shot seventy one right?
Speaker 4 (35:21):
Yes, Wowow, I'm I'm wildly impressed at the moment, I
feel like I can't even make fun of you. Now,
I don't.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Know, I feel like I can make fun of you.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
But wow, yeah, well you know, regional tour still going on.
We got as of this recording, we've got four rounds left.
The ones coming up for America's it's Barber Asia Pacific,
It's Fuji Europe, it's Donnington. I am reading this one
off my phone because I had to get this one
prepped before we did the recording. But some really exciting battles,
(35:50):
a lot of different countries represented. I mean to go
back to the regional format, Greg that obviously you're now
bringing to GT three. This has made the F four
competent really exciting just in general in any season, but
especially now we've got the opportunity to qualify for an
Esports Championship.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Well, I just think it's it's a really.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Cool program that we have with them. From our side,
it's been great. There's a lot of commentary, some of
it knows what it's talking about, some of it doesn't.
But the number of people racing four and I racing
has grown substantially. This program as of this recording, I
think has had one point four one point five million
race entries since the inception, with over one hundred thousand
(36:29):
unique drivers, So a third of the I racing has
participated in this series.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
At one point or another.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
That's pretty cool, pretty good, and GT three has a
bigger population to pool from, so I'm super excited to
bring that to GT three and give the sports Car Ladder,
you know, something similar. I do think there is something
too racing on tracks that are kind of somewhat in
your region.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
Yeah, I was going to say maybe I don't know
that we touched on that earlier. But it's not just
that they're run on the sort of local servers. It's
that we you've picked tracks that are more local to
that region. So the Americas, it's American based tracks or
North Plus interlog so the Americas from the Americas, Right,
(37:10):
you're not necessarily racing at SPA, but if you're in
the European you're going to be racing on tracks like that, right.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Yeah, that's that's I think there was something to see
how it goes. Right, we were working on what we've
actually made a renewal with the f i A. They've
been very happy with us, extended for a couple more years.
And we're looking at expanding the format for next year.
Speaker 4 (37:32):
More to come on that hashtags soon, but also on
the regional GT three, we're not getting rid of the
regular GT three. So if that's what you're into and
you want to run tracks all around the world all
the time, go for it. Don't have to change anything
in your in your life, right. This is just another option,
another tradition. It's a different time slot. We're not blowing
something up that already exists. It's amazing, We're just adding to.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
Its absolutely, so pretty excited about all that.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Cool.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Last one, the e NASCAR College Series schedule has been announced.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yep, and totally totally different format on this one. All
six of these events now are going to take place
over two weeks. We're still going to have the time
attacks to set the top drivers, but instead of just
forty or so in the big race, top one hundred
and twenty, and we're going to have a bracket style
format over two weeks to narrow them down to just
(38:26):
twenty five in that.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Final round race. So it's going to be competitive.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
It's almost got a little bit of college you know
what tournament style vibes.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
I don't know what you're talking about, but.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Where they play basketball in March, possibly that possibly that
Spring craziness, Spring Craziness, the large tournament at the end
of the season.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
So it's two weeks basically. The first week kind of
cuts it in half pretty roughly, and then the second
week whittles it down a couple of races, and then
there's a final with just what do you say, top
twenty twenty five right, yep, and that's where the ye
that's the money race.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
That's where the scholarship money is handed out as always
a fantastic scholarship pool for this. The time attacks start
very soon August twenty sixth for the opening Queen City
Crown at Charlotte.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Right around when this hits, so probably live now, yes, yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
And I also want to give credit to the broadcast
team all the other marketing guys for actually coming up
with some names for these races to really try to
give them a little extra gravitas.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
I always think it's cool.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
When we when we're able to do those things. We've
had some other series where we've been able to do that,
but really trying to make these things special, it makes
them feel like certain other collegiate sports events.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
That happen to have names attached to them. So that's
pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
I maybe I'm in the minority here, but I like
the format and what we're doing with the College Series
more so than even the Coke Series. It's cool to
have like that real world parody with the Coke Series
and with NASCAR.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
I get that.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
But the flexibility we have to you know, still have
real racing, but try some you know, different formats that
you don't see on Sundays. I think that's really cool.
The College Series. I think there's a lot of opportunity
for that to grow, especially as many colleges.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
That really leans into the the appeal of college athletics. Yes,
you know, there are die hard fans from all these
whatever schools they're participating, right, I mean, just like in
college football or college basketball, there's a it has a
different vibe than professional sports, yeah, and different fan base,
different kind of culture, and I think we're trying to
(40:33):
lean into that and it's working.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Yeah, this is not something that we're doing just just.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
To do it.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
It's actually right yea.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
It brings value to the service and yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's not not going away anytime soon. Well that's that
I got to the bottom of my outline. There's not
a backpage, is there.
Speaker 4 (40:50):
There was one more bullet, but I didn't print it.
It said sign off. Oh so I don't want to
waste four pieces of paper for that.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
So you know what, perfectly understandable. Take care for you,
Happy anniversary, Thank you so much. Thirty years thirty.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Years, Poor Laurcer.
Speaker 4 (41:04):

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Dinner tonight though.
Speaker 4 (41:09):

We found some restaurant right on the water. Should be
very nice. Okay, we'll see. I haven't been there, but
I'm looking forward to it.
