Meet Guest — Sheryl English Sheryl English is a dedicated community advocate, longtime Realtor and trailblazer in local leadership. A native of Los Angeles who made Denton home over 19 years ago, she has served as a Denton ISD Trustee since 2021 and is the proud mom of three Denton ISD graduates. With more than 29 years of experience in real estate, she has been a powerful voice for affordable housing, previously serving as Chair of the Denton Housing Authority Board and playing a key role in developing 324 new units through a public/private partnership. Sheryl is the first Black woman to serve on both the Denton ISD School Board and the Denton Chamber of Commerce Board. Her commitment to service includes leadership roles on the Denton Public School Foundation Board, DISD committees, the Police Advisory Committee and the United Way Workforce Success Leadership Committee. Whether in housing, education, or civic life, Sheryl advocates fiercely for equity, access, and community progress.
