is always so much fun to have him come and
join us. And here's the thing. I'm gonna admit something
that I don't know if I've ever admitted this before,
but we don't talk to him live, and if you've
met him in person, you'll know why. But there are
people who sometimes will show up on Tuesday, right around
the time Charlie's on the radio to see if.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Jude Charlie he can be here today.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
So we have to record with him at an undisclosed time,
you know, to keep the traffic down.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
And sometimes at an undisclosed.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Location because we don't want to have to have traffic
police out here stopping.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
No it is.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
It is a lot of fun and you'll get to
hear what he has to say coming up in a bit.
Thanks for listening to The John and Heidi Show.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Nice?
Speaker 3 (01:31):

I had chocolate covered bacon one time.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Oh yes, amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
That's pretty amazing good. So I found a chocolate covered
cherry martini and this is one I am going to make.
This looks and sounds amazing. It's got cherry vodka, cream
to cocoa, heavy cream, grenadine, and chocolate syrup. Oh my gosh,
this thing looks good.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
That does.
Speaker 2 (01:57):

Surveys and studies and the holidays often spark a surgeon volunteering,
but experts say giving back matters all year long. Psychologists
note the gratitude and generosity reinforce each other. A cycle
scene across cultures and across to traditions. So whether you
celebrate Ramadan or Christmas or Honikah or whatever you celebrate,
(03:00):
humans evolve as super cooperators.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Did you know?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
The researchers say that volunteering taps into that instinct. Helping
others during the holidays and any other time can boost
your mood and your purpose and your social connection. Even
simple acts like sending a holiday card or reaching out
to an old friend strengthens bonds and helps revive meaningful times.
Here's the thing I'll say, I have been very much.
I'm a yes man, Heidi's a no woman. I'm involved
(03:26):
in a lot of stuff, and I think that's one
of the reasons I am happier than you.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
So I don't think you're happier than so much happier
that I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
I mean, first of all, I'm married to you, so
that makes.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Me happy because I don't have to be around a
whole bunch of people.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
That's what keeps there. We go surveys and studies and
such on The John and Heidi Show, HEDI Show. Thank
you for listening to The John and Heidi Show. Brought

Charlie Sheen may be back in court for another legal
showdown with one of his exes following the release of
his memoir and his Netflix documentary. So apparently he's tell
all told too much, And after fifteen years, Joe Jonas
has not lost his sense of humor when it comes
to Shane Gray from Camp Rock three, because there's a
new Camp Rock project coming out. They had some fun
(04:26):
daughter loved that, and they had some fun when that
announcement was made. In honor of Lord of the Rings
the Fellowship of the Ring turning twenty five, all three
extended edition films in Peter Jackson's trilogy are returning to
theaters next year, So in January, you're going to be
able to start seeing them again on the big screen.
And Cher is finally ready to walk down the aisle again,
(04:46):
nearly fifty years after the end of her second marriage.
She's reportedly said to tie them out with her boyfriend
Alexander Edwards ahead of her eightieth birthday. So there you go.
He's forty, by the way, but I thought he was young.
Just in case anybody was, you know, wondering big screen,

Heidi. Did you know the first computer virus was created
in nineteen eighty six, I did not.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
It was called Brain, created by two brothers in Pakistan,
originally designed to protect their software from piracy, but it
quickly spread, causing the world to realize that even in
the digital age, viruses were a serious threat hikes. So
they had it set up as like a booby trap,
so if you tried to copy their stuff, it would
ruin your computer apparently. So wow, that's kind of cool.
(06:02):
I didn't know you could do that. We don't know everything,
but now we know this.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Okay, John, this is a joke.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
On the Joke of the Day.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Okay, I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Yesterday a driver was stuck in traffic when a man
knocks on his window and he exclaims terrorists have kidnapped
the entire US Congress. They're asking for one hundred million
dollars or they will douse them in gasoline and light
them all on fire.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Oh wow.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
The man says, well, how much is everyone giving on average?
And the man says roughly a gallon?
Speaker 9 (06:56):
Uh that's good.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
That's very good. That is That was a joke.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
The joke of the Day on the John and Heidie Show.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
I'm Chris from Izzy Jim. If you've got a Pokemon
collection that you're looking to sell, I'm looking to buy it.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
We're based in the Midwest.
Speaker 8 (07:12):

Time now for the scoop of the day. It won't
be long until everywhere I look online, you're gonna see ads.
You know, I already kind of do. But now GPT
is getting in on the game.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
Of course.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
They discovered some code from the latest Android beta showing
reference to ads featured. So apparently there's an ad carousel.
And if he's right the guy that's talking about this,
the free version of chat GPT would join other search
based tools that rely on advertising. It's a shift from
the open ai current strategy of earning their revenue through
subscriptions and API used. The move is not shocking. Open
(08:09):
ai remains unprofitable, with reports suggesting it may not break
even until twenty thirty. They need massive additional funding to
sustain their growth. CEO Sam Altman previously hinted that ads
are not off the table. Well now kind of looks
like apparently they are certainly on the table. And smartphones
may get even more expensive next year, Heidi. Not because
(08:29):
of new fancy cameras or giant screens you'd pay more
to upgrade in twenty twenty six, is because of memory.
Demand from memory chips is going sky high because they're
pouring all the resources into AI data centers, leaving fewer
supplies for things like phones and tablets and smart walks,
and le'll say that we're going to be paying for
that memory and our devices could jump by fifty percent
(08:51):
sometime early next year, sharply increasing production costs. Word is
that some budget phones may have to release their delay,
have to delay their release altogether. Some manufacturers like Micron
or even exiting the consumer memory market to focus on
AI alone. Experts expect the pressure to ease a little
later next year. So what they're trying to say is,
(09:14):
if you need a phone, get one now, or be
ready to wait or pay a whole lot. That is
your scoop of the day on The John and Heidi Show,
The Jon and Heidie Show, Thank you so much for

It's Tuesdays with Johnnie.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
You'll give us some God we talk each week again,

Speaker 10 (09:53):
Everyone loves him.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
He makes us laugh sometimes he is all and in

Speaker 5 (10:02):
To loups.
Speaker 10 (10:07):
Work shy jo.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Sh and he's here.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
All What kind of good stuff do you have for
us today, Charlie?
Speaker 4 (10:18):
I always have good stuff?
Speaker 1 (10:20):
You do?
Speaker 4 (10:20):
I agree?
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Do you know that hospitals have a supply of beer
for all alcoholics and cakes they go through withdrawal?
Speaker 3 (10:26):
I did know that, and so do nursing homes.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Huh didn't know that either.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Some hospitals even have beer cans with prescription labels.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Wow, did not know that either. I'm learning stuff, Charlie.
You praay told me this like ten years ago. Take
three per day, three per day and.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
See if you feel better. Huh, don't depend too much
on anyone in this world, because even your own shadow
leaves you when you are in the darkness.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Oh my gosh, that's a very depressing thought.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
You could stitch that on a pillow, Charlie.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Pretty knowledgeable stuff it is.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
You're impressed.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
I'm very anti Hallmark division of greeting cards.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
There you go.
Speaker 6 (11:09):
Do you know that, according to a UK steady, women
are better parking a car than men?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Really, no, we know that ain't true.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
That depends on the woman.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
And the man.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Really have you seen Heidie parker car?
Speaker 4 (11:20):
I hate it. Once you drives as.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
It's it's quite the true. It's fun to watch you
park a car. I can park a cars.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
It's fine.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
It's parallel.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
I don't do that. There you go, specify parallel, park.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Nose first every time, all the time. So you're ready
for a question for me, better do it. True or false?
A group of mountains is called a pack of mountains. No, correct,
it is a range of mountains, not a pack. True
or false. The femur is the largest bone in the
human body. No, oh, it is true. The bone is
the femur. So Heidi gets that point. I think so
(11:57):
I lost track an.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Interesting You ain't a word, they're sleeping.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
True or false. All planets in our solar system orbit
the Sun and a circular path. True or false?
Speaker 4 (12:14):
Well, yeah, what other kind of path is there? Circar
like this brown the sun?
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Well, Heidi got it right, it's an elliptical. It's a
big oval, So they're not circular.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
What's the diff.
Speaker 7 (12:26):
A circle?
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Shut up, you don't know where card is that?
Speaker 9 (12:34):
Yeah, you don't know nothing, Heidie. And we'll do one
last thing here. True or false? The Internet and the
world Wide Web are the same thing. Do you think
the same thing? I have no clue.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
It is not true. The Internet is a huge network
of networks, while the world Wide Web is a collection
of information accessible on the Internet. So they're similar but
not quite the same.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
So there you go.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
How many months of the year have thirty one days?
Twenty eight twenty eight months a year?
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Three?
Speaker 2 (13:04):
No, height, he's over there thinking she's working at it?
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Eight?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
No, Charlie, do you want to say it number this? No,
you're you're both wrong at seven.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Oh, I forgot our closure.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
I forgot about February.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Thirty one.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
No, I forgot about February. I was counting on my
fingers which ones don't? So I was off?
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I was off.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Yeah, okay, that's okay.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
That's cause you got a missing finger there.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
I'm not missing this.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Closer that thing? Oh, what is going on in draw?
We have lost control of the studio. So do you
guys want one more type of breaker?
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Question?
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Right, get your hand on the bus, get ready over there?
What year did TikTok launch? I don't know that you're
going to get that.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
I know because I don't even listen to the radio.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Just say it number. Okay, he doesn't listen to the radio.
Do you know what TikTok is?
Speaker 4 (14:03):
No, I don't.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I don't listen to the radio. Oh you're close twenty seventeen.
So you were a way closer than I've been considering.
You don't even listen to the radio. Well, Charlie, thanks.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
For salving about it. I'm not coming back and talk
to the radio. You've done off by flock by John.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Bye, my father in law right there. We talked to
him every Tuesday just because we can. It's a little
thing we like to call Tuesdays with Charlie.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Animal that is earth us thought to be extinct. This
one is called a seilicant, and it's an aquatic creature
that lived deep in the ocean two hundred million years ago.
Weighing about two hundred pounds and measuring about six feet long,
they're found at ocean depths of two hundred to sixteen
(16:18):
hundred feet wow. Fossils surfaced in the nineteenth century and
and scientific consensus was that the large strange creatures had
died out millions of years ago. But in nineteen thirty eight,
a museum curator in South Africa was riding on a
fishing boat and caught one in the western Indian Ocean.
(16:39):
And biologists think that a small but unknown number are
still out there in the oceans, but they are a
high risk of actual extinction at this time. And they're
saying this is because of climate change whatever. But clearly,
I mean if they're still alive, they're still alive. There's
not a whole lot you can do about that. But
it's interesting. And yeah, anyway, cut cut. They're cut by
(17:02):
accident all the time, by fishing trawlers, and that is
news to me.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
That is also news to me.

Fun fact for you, Heidi, beaver teeth not only never
stop growing, they're also covered with a coating of iron
that prevents them from d k O. Interesting was that
several fun things here. I'll get to the next fun
fact for you, heide, the Canary Islands got their name
not from the bird, but from the Latin word for
island of dogs. Okay, the Canary Island is an island
(18:03):
of dogs. Fun fact for a hiding rather than horses.
Police in Brazil on the island of Marajo ride water
buffalo and I probably said the name of that island.
Dram fun fact for a hiding. According to experts, penguins
like the sounds of trumpets, but they hate the sounds
of bagpipes. Okay, okay, And we'll do one final fun
(18:24):
fact for you, Heidi.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
What's that?
Speaker 2 (18:25):
John Cindi Lauper's nineteen eighty three feminist anthem girls Just
Want to Have Fun was written by a man, Robert Hazard,
in nineteen seventy nine, and.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
It was very cool.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
She changed some of the words because while we'll just
say it was not a feminist anthem in the beginning,
well we'll put it that way. Several fun facts now,
you know. Thanks for listening to The John and Heidi Show.

Now for some weird news, the man known as David
record Breaker Rush reclaimed one of his quirkiest Guinness World
(19:06):
records by completing a half marathon while wearing one hundred
and thirty seven T shirts that's about forty eight pounds
of fabric. He set his first record in twenty nineteen
with one hundred and eleven shirts, but later lost it
to somebody who put on one hundred and twenty seven shirts.
Determined to win it back, he trained, running in heavy
clothing and weighted packs. His first comeback attempt was the
(19:27):
famous Idaho Potato half Marathon, but he ended early when
the shirts cut off circulation to his neck and he
couldn't breathe. This year, though, he returned to the same
race and successfully finished, regaining the title after displaying a
ton of persistence and almost that much cotton. So that
just seems like a weird thing. One hundred and thirty
seven T shirts and I'm going to run a marathon
(19:49):
wearing that, right? Okay, whatever, dude, David record Breaker Rush,
that's cool.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Everybody needs a hobby.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
It's also weird. That's why it is today is weird news.

this one right.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
A survey found that sixty one percent of people agree
this impacts how they support a business. What is it
I think we do? We choose places based on this
French Fries No, I knew that was gonna be yours.
Though as soon as I said we choose a place
based on this, I knew that you were going to
say that no bathroom availability. There are places that will stop. No,
we'll stop at this one over here, why, well, they
(20:55):
got a really nice bathroom.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
They do.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
I didn't know we were choosing places based on that,
but that is apparently we're not the only one sixty
one percent.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Cheers all of my restaurants on the on the quality
of their fresh fries.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
You and I both love cheese.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
We do.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
I love cheese.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
I do love cheese. So I don't know if we
would like these kinds.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Of cheese, some weird cheese.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Oh I've got some weird Jesus, Yes, this one. The
first one is called a Casu Marzoo. It is made
only in Sardinia, Italy, Okay, And it's soft and spreadable
like bri which we love, but it's noticeably pungent. Final taste, texture,
and smell are the result of fermentation, which occurs when
(21:59):
the fly larvae introduced early on, consume the sheep's milk
and leave their excrement behind. The cheese is consumed while
the maggots are still alive?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (22:13):
This stuff?
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Okay? I don't think I'll be able. I know that's
not bre but yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
And then there's another one called mil ben Kassi I
think is how it said. It's a German cheese and
it begins with quark, which is a soft, spreadable cheese
similar to yogurt.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
It's flavored with salt and caraway seeds, then placed in
a wooden box for three months, generous helpings of why
flour and mites jump start the aging process. As the
mites eat the cheese and flour, they excrete, an enzyme
that makes the cheese age and adapts its bitter, zesty flavor.
(22:57):
Fans say it's ready to eat if it resemble a
loaf of bread. True enthusiasts leave the cheese in the
mite field box for a year until the ball turns black.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
I won't be eating any of them.
Speaker 9 (23:09):
Not good.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
That is something special. It's actually something disgusting with Heidi Small.

(24:08):
there's a street called Awesome Street. This one is in Arkansas.
It's called far from Poopen Road. Far from Poopen Road
all right. In Bakersfield, California. Inyo Street, Yeah, Inyo Street,
Psycho Path in Michigan, Pennsylvania divorce Court. And then this
(24:33):
is there's a whole bunch of these in Nova Scotia,

We always like to wrap things up around here with
good news, and I think this is good news. It
comes from Virginia high school students repair cars then give
them away to single mothers in need. I love this,
(25:16):
Oh neat is this? This is a class project they
do in Virginia and they repair and restore cars not
just for class credit, but also to give reliable transportation
to single mothers in need. An automotive technology program at
the high school. Their teens are learning real world skills
while making a real difference in the community. The program
gives eleventh grader some hands on experience working on actual vehicles,
(25:39):
teaching them everything from basic mechanics to how a car's
electrical wiring system works. Students repair these cars for teachers,
fellow students, and local residents at reduced prices, and then
they turn the classroom into a workshop, i'm sorry, a
working autoshop. Beyond the repairs, though, they also restore and
donate vehicles. So some of these things that they're working
(26:00):
on are they belong to somebody else, like the teacher
or student whatever. But then there's others that they get
these cars, they fix them, and they help women. A
lot of the time it's single mothers facing transportation challenges.
And they say that these giveaways are unforgettable moments, especially
when the garage door is opened and the recipient realizes
that car right there, you're driving that home. How neat
(26:22):
is that?
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Yeah, that's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Giving Words is the name of it. I think, Oh,
nonprofit organization Giving Words, Okay, they partner with them. They
provided more than sixty cars to families in need, and
they've repaired over two hundred and sixty cars. So I
love that. That's a really really neat thing. I'm sorry
for stumbling my way through it. I do have a
link to the story in the show notes for today
