Mais de 2 milhões de brasileiros vivem com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA), de acordo com o último censo do IBGE. Para ampliar o diagnóstico precoce e reforçar a rede de atendimento, o Ministério da Saúde lançou uma nova linha de cuidado, que inclui testes a partir dos 16 meses e maior suporte pelo SUS. A iniciativa traz à tona discussões sobre o impacto para as famílias, os principais desafios da rede pública e a função do atendimento particular.
