Numb to anybody that is now hasn't heard of this, gentleman,

(01:41):
Let's go back, because of course I can never remember
to unmute myself. Let's start this again. So seventeen people
were hospitalized in Labor Day weekend pile up involving two
tractor trailers. Seventeen people were hospitalized around the thirty of
August after a pile up crash involving two semis over

(02:04):
the Labor Day weekend along Interstate twenty in Texas. The
accident happened Saturday afternoon on westbound Interstate twenty near Lynndale, Texas.
According to the local fire Department, the crash involved six
passenger cars and two semis around mile marker five five six.
Total of nineteen people were involved in this crash, seventeen

(02:26):
of which were hospitalized with non life threatening injuries. One
person had to be extricated from the vehicle using the
jaws of life. Halsmat Cruz worked to clean up the
significant diesel and oil spilled from the roadway closing Eye
twenty for an extended period of time over that Labor
Day weekend, which I'm sure for weekend travelers was a

(02:47):
pain in the butt. The cause of the crash has
not been released. Some footage of the crash can be seen,
you know, viewing this article, and two of the three
bodies in this next story now claimed weeks after this

(03:08):
fatal turn U turn crash. Now, I will talk a
little bit later in the show when I come across
another article. There's several this article and another article in
this week's episode about this accident fatality accident, and two

(03:30):
of the three bodies in then now infamous fatal U
turn crash have been claimed the weeks after the initial accident.
This accident happened, if you haven't heard about it, Onto
Florida Turnpike August twelfth, Florida claimed that the lives of
thirty year old Herbie Dufredzie, a, fifty four year old

(03:52):
Rodrigue Dare, and thirty seven year old Finolia Joseph as
they headed home to Indiana after visiting family that they
had in Miami. Were they and they also previously resided
there The three people were reportedly Haitian immigrants. According to
local News of Miami. The truck driver in the incident,

(04:13):
a twenty eight year old Harrender Singh, is facing felony
charges after attempting an illegal U turn in an area
meant for official vehicles use only, which you can't. It's
just the cut through on the Florida Turnpike in between
the four lanes two going north to going south. It's

(04:36):
not wide enough for a semi to turn around. He's
gonna the trailer's gonna be hanging over, and the truck's
gonna be hanging over the southbound lanes, and the trailer's
gonna be hanging over the northbound lanes. Well, like I said,
if you haven't heard about this accident, this van carrying

(04:56):
these four people or three people, three people or it
was going it was going at a high rated speed
and they slammed into the side of the trailer and
damn near took the whole top of the van off
and killed the three people inside. Supporters of this gentleman

(05:19):
say that the Organization for Justice have rallied to seek
a fair trial for the truck driver, who they say
have been portrayed in an unfair manner. He's an illegal
immigrant working here and he didn't show any emotion, which
they you know, I'm sorry they don't. Their laws aren't

(05:41):
the same as ours, you know. I'm not sure exactly
where he's from. Don't really care. But anyway, I don't
want to go off on a tangent because I can
and we have lots of news to cover. The bodies
of the three victims went unclaimed until the end of August.
Two of the three bodies were finally claimed by family members,

(06:01):
which it is hard. The medical examiner there in Miami
says that it typically typically takes a few days to
warinate the release of the bodies to family members. They
have to come in, they have to view them, they
have to say yes, this is my family member, to
identify them and everything. However, seventeen day delay is unusually

(06:22):
a long period of time. Well, it costs money. It's
not free because they have to be not they have
to be embalmed is the word I was looking for.
And then be prepared because I went through this with
my mother to have you have to purchase a ticket

(06:45):
on an airline just like you were a living person
and even though the deceased is in a really a
body bag. They're not even in a casket. They put
them in a body bag and they're embalmed. They have
to be ready for flight, and they're pretty much in

(07:06):
a confined area and secured area in the belly of
the plane in a body bag. It's unclear the three
bodies remain at the examiner's office. I'm sure they were.
If no one ever comes to claim the remaining body,
the body will be held indefinitely, which is proper procedure.

(07:28):
In this case. Two men were arrested after unhooking a
trailer from a park semi truck In this next story
and hauling it away in front of a Florida State trooper.
Two men were arrested after unhooking a loaded trailer from

(07:51):
a park semi truck and hauling it away in front
of a Florida State trooper. You got guts, guys. The
theft occurred, of course, in Miami, and the two men
were being held at the Turner Guelville Night Correctional Center
as of the September second, according to the local news.
A report states that undercover Florida Highway Patrol trooper was

(08:14):
following a semi truck that had previously been identified as
being utilized in the commission of thefts involving semi trucks
and cargo laden trailers throughout the state. In other words,
a trailer that's been loaded with product. Okay, where he
saw it stop at a certain area in Hollywood, Florida.

(08:35):
He then witnessed a driver to Rule and I don't
know which guy is who here pull up next to
the semi truck parked on the side of the road
and climb into the cab. He then unhooked the rigs trailer,
drove the park tractor you know that was under the trailer.
He drove that about a block away. Then he came

(08:58):
around with his own red grab the trailer and excuse me,
and then he hauled butt with it. The troop then
followed behind to Rule and another noticed another vehicle following
along as well. That person was identified as fifty year
old Angel Russ art Perza. So I believe that's a

(09:20):
gentleman that you see here on the right, and the
gentleman that you see on the left is the kid
that did the work with the semi truck. The trooper
followed the pair to near the Miami Airport. I'm not
going to give all the streets and everything where he
witnessed the young man get out and conduct a visual

(09:41):
inspection of the stolen semi trailer, appearing to search for
concealed GPS tracking devices with the help of this Parazza
guy in the right. They were both wearing gloves during
the inspection. The officer then took both men into custody
excuse me, without any incident. The trailer was loaded with

(10:01):
approximately one hundred thousand dollars worth of chick in at
the time of the incident. Both men are being held
on fifteen thousand dollars bound on charges of cargo grand
theft of a vehicle. He reportedly. The young man on
the left reportedly has two out of county warrants and
from the US Marshall Service unrelated to the crime in Miami.

(10:28):
And Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance CVSA pushes for universal electronic
identification trackers for commercial vehicles. CVSA recently asked federal transportation
officials for universal electronic vehicle identifiers to aid in the

(10:52):
commercial vehicle inspection process in response to the US Department
of Transportation's requests for public comments on the next Surface
Transportation Reauthorization Bill. The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance CBSA outlined
a number of priorities in their August twenty third letter

(11:15):
including it, they asked for universe electronic vehicle identifiers for
commercial vehicles to assist inspectors in selecting the vehicles on
the roadway there are the most need of an inspection
or intervention tracking. They pretty much are you know, well,
it will have tracking. The CVSA argues that electronic vehicle

(11:40):
identifiers would help officers to more efficiently screen commercial vehicles
in their area for inspection and intervention. The agency also
suggested that electronic trackers could be used for enforcement and
identifying motor vehicle carrier or motor carrier fraud and USDOT
number theft that it's happening a lot where people are

(12:05):
going on Aline saying their subsidiary or whatever to the
carrier that's already listed on with the USDOT and then
going ahead and using their authority or numbers. Trucking groups
like OOIDA Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association have opposed trackers

(12:30):
for trucks for privacy reasons, but the Safety Alliance argues
that there are no credible privacy concerns, which there is not.
We don't have any privacy in the Bill of Rights.
And if you think so, that's misinformation concerns with implementation
of universal Electronic Vehicle Identifier because sensitive information such as

(12:53):
driver information and data would not be transmitted. There's no
guarantee of that quote. With the eyes of this commercial
motor vehicle industry, it is not possible for the roughly
thirteen thousand inspectors across North America to inspect every vehicle,
driver and carrier operating on our roadways on a regular basis.

(13:14):
Implementing a universe Electronic Vehicle Identifier would strengthen partnerships with
commercial motor vehicle enforcement community and provide them with a
tool that would significantly improve the way they are selected
for inspection, leveraging limited resources and improving roadway safety. Blondie

(13:36):
bondie bondy, blah blah. That's always their speel. I've been
been doing this too long. That is always their speel.
So yeah, they're going to run away, jump in and
have public comments and this kind of thing. And USDOT

(13:58):
proposes adding fentanyl to existing truck driver drug testing programs.
The US Department of Transportation is considering adding more illegal
substances to the agency's drug testing panels for safety sensitive
transportation industry employees, including truck drivers, in a proposed rule

(14:24):
published where it needs to be published in the Federal Register.
On September two, they announced a proposal to amend its
drug testing program regulations to add the synthetic opioid fentanyl
and nor fentanyl, a metabolite of fentanyl, to drug testing panels. USDOT,

(14:44):
pointing to fentanyl use trends over the past years as
a reason for adding the drugs to the testing panels.
Just because it's expanding, it's growing. I don't know, that's
a a fine line that's automatically gonna be used more
in the truck and industry. To stay awake, I don't know.

(15:08):
Years ago, I remember somebody that was driving for FedEx
got popped for, you know, meth, And I'm like, you know,
back in my day, you thought pot was bad, marijuana
was bad. Now look now it's CBD oil, this cbd,

(15:28):
this cbd that you know you cannot use it. And
I'm just saying, you know, drugs in general, you can't
can't use it. And while you're operating a motor vehicle.
You're gonna gonna kill somebody. So back to the article,
adding fentanyl and nora. Fentanyl is also the interest of

(15:50):
transportation safety, given compelling information regarding the number of overdose
desks in the US involving fentanyl. UH Currently, the regulations
require safety sensitive transportation workers truck drivers to undergo laboratory
testing for the following five class of drugs. Now, that's
also transportation. Is also railroad, and it's also airlines. So pilots, stewardesses,

(16:17):
you know, locomotive engineers, we're all have to be drug tested.
What they what they test for now, marijuana, cocaine, opiates,
codeine derivatives, amphetamines, methamphetamines, and PCP. I can't bend fin cyclodine.

(16:43):
I believe the move to ad fentanyl or nor fentanyl
would also help to align with their drug trusting program
regulations with the US Department of Health and Human Services
mandatory guidelines for the workplace drug testing programs must follow
for the minimalist of drugs for which the DOT requires testing,

(17:05):
and the comprehensive standards for laboratory drug testing for the
Omnibus Employee Test Act of nineteen ninety one. So a
lot of legal jargon in there. And this next story,
I'm gonna call out somebody that I know in the
truck and industry, mister Colin Eson, who is a flatbetter

(17:31):
oversized load guy. On this next story, Colin, this one's
for you, buddy. Oversized load given two out of service
orders after being stopped three times in twenty four hours.
And guests where this took place, Colin's home country of Canada.

(17:53):
An oversized load was given two out of service orders
after three stops in twenty four hours over the Labor
Day weekend. The incident occurred over twenty four hours during
the long Labor Day weekend in northwestern Ontario, Canada. According
to the Ontario Provincial Police, the twenty four year old
truck driver hauling an oversized load why stopped by Ontario

(18:17):
Provincial Police three times in the span of twenty four hours,
leading up to nineteen offence notices and two out of
service orders for this commercial vehicle. Now, what's wrong with
this picture? Any flatbetters out there want to comment, leave
your comments below and let me know what's wrong with

(18:41):
this picture. Some of the issued offenses were related to
the excessive width and length of the load, failure to
ensure performance standards are met, driving a commercial motor vehicle
without the required inspection, and they say safety laws aren't optional.
They aren't to to suggestion, as Uncle Si would say

(19:03):
on Duck Dynasty. Both the driver and the transport company
are now facing court summonses and will be held accountable
for the many infractions they chose to ignore. They said,
So there you go, Colin, what do you think of that?

(19:27):
And a Senate bill threatens to withhold federal funding from
states that failed to uphold the CDL residency requirements and
English rules for truck drivers operating in this country. It's
one thing to be a visitor, let me say this
of this country and not really know the language. But

(19:52):
any place you go in the world, you're going to
need to know the language. Just that's just a part
of you're gonna come to this country, you're gonna work
in this country. Yes, you're gonna go home, you're like,
especially over the border in New Mexico. But if you

(20:15):
come over here to work and you have a visa,
it's just common sense that you need to know some
of the language, excuse me, some of the language in
order to get along in this country. It's just how
it is. US senator has introduced back to the article

(20:38):
new legislation did response to a high profile triple fatality
crash again when we're talking about in Florida. On September third,
this Ashley Moody of Florida announced that the introduction of
a Safe Truckers Act of twenty twenty five in an
effort to protect drivers on the roadways, all drivers on

(20:58):
the roadways following that August twelfth crash. The bill establishes
the following two requirements. The first ensures that commercial driver's
licenses are only awarded to US citizens, legal permit residents,
or holders of a valid work visa, not illegal citizens.

(21:23):
But also, I'm going to be talking about a story
where a Massachusetts state patrol was bribed to pass people
and given a CDL. This happens all the time. It's
just like getting a fake license or a fake ID.

(21:47):
They're handing out fake CDLs as well. And the second,
the requirement requires states to report to the federal government
their efforts to uphold the English proficiency requires events. The
states that do not comply with these two requirements risk
the loss of federal funds and the states received from

(22:08):
the Department of Transportation. If this bill passes now, it
has to go through the House and the Senate and
everything in order to pass. Quote. Failure to adhere to
these two provisions would jeopardize the state's eligibility funding. That
becomes a mechanism by which the government can force compliance
from sanctuary states like California and Washington. Quote. If you're

(22:31):
a commercial truck driver in America, being able to competently
read the road signs in English isn't optional. It's the job.
It's part of the job. It's the law. That's why
I'm introducing the Safe Truckers Act to prevent what we
saw happen in my home state, where an illegal alien
who failed his English Lang language proficiency test made a

(22:54):
dangerous you turn in the middle of an interstate and
killed three people with no remorse. States just ensure that
folks are safe in our roadways, and if they don't,
they should forfeit federal funds, said Moody. But Miss Moody,
on that note, cars need to be speed limited where

(23:14):
they can't go one hundred, one hundred and twenty down
the interstate killing people as well. So Yeah, this is
gonna tick off a whole bunch of people, me saying
this too bad. So sad, I'm a biker and everything.
I really don't feel like getting run over. Yeah. On

(23:36):
behalf of Florida Trucket Association, she says, I applaud the
introduction of the Safe Truckers Act of twenty twenty five
by Florida's own senator. The number one priority for the
truck and industry is safety. Senator Moody's proposal will close
loopholes that have allowed unauthorized and unqualified drivers to operate
heavy commercial vehicles and reinforce the integrity of our license exists,

(24:00):
improving security on our America's highways, said President CEO Florida
Trucket Association. The US August twenty six, US to Transportation
Secretary Sean Duffy said that California, Washington, and New Mexico
would lose up to one hundred percent of a Motor

(24:20):
Carrier Safety Assistance Program federal funding unless they adopted and
enforce English language proficiency requirements for commercial motor vehicle drivers
within thirty days of this bill becoming law. So that
was a lot and Texas Governor orders zero tolerance enforcement

(24:43):
of the English language rules for all semi trucks. Texas
Governor Greg Abbott issued in order requiring increased enforcement of
the ELP rules English Language Proficiency rules for all commercial drivers.
On September fourth, he issued a new directive to the
Texas Department of Public Safety requiring troopers to strictly enforce

(25:08):
the English language proficiency requirements of the FMCSA Federal Motor
Carrier Safety Administration Regulations. This move comes in response to
reports that Texas is not enforcing ELP regulations for intrust
state drivers due to a loophole in the state's Transportation code,
which stated that the rules only apply to interstate So

(25:32):
let me for refresh your memory. What is intrast state
I intra state and what is interstate? Truck drivers in
trust state is only within the state itself only they
could only run around Texas interstate I in ter they

(25:55):
could cross state lines, and they could go nationwide. Abbot's direction,
Texas Department of Public Safety Commercial Vehicle Enforcement troopers and
inspectors will conduct English language proficiency reviews for all commercial
license operators on Texas roadways. Abbott also announced that he

(26:16):
has directed Texas DPS to cease issuing intrusted commercial driver's
license for drivers that cannot speak English sufficiently sufficiently to
communicate with department personnel. In other words, mino abla no English,
doesn't work anymore, can't have a translator anymore. Officials say

(26:40):
that since June twenty fifth to twenty twenty five, when
ELP violations were returned to status as an out of service,
Department of Public Safety and partner agencies have taken enforcement
action against approximately four hundred and forty five commercial vehicle
drivers in Texas just for the English proficiency violations. Of those,

(27:02):
about twenty eight held Texas licenses, while roughly three hundred
and thirty six were licensed in Mexico with the remainder
license in other states or countries. Truckers play an instrumental
role in texas robust economy and keeping our highways safe.
Every commercial driver license operator on Texas roadways must be

(27:22):
able to communicate clearly in English to can ensure compliance
with traffic laws, follow safety directions, and prevent accidents. Today,
I'm directing Department of Public Safety in the State of
Texas to enact zero tolerance enforcement of these federal safety
regulations across the board, whether drivers are operating across state

(27:45):
lines or only within Texas. This approach will keep Texas
safe while keeping our economy moving, so he Greg Abbott said,
And a log truck driver passed away after a second
rig blows a tire and veers into him. I have

(28:09):
circled where the log truck is. It's unfortunate that this
person passed away. A log truck driver passed away after
a second semi blew a truck tire causing that rig
to veer into him in Washington state and September third,

(28:34):
in east side Washington on Interstate ninety near exit thirty two.
According to the local News of Seattle, the logging truck
driver was heading west on I ninety when a second
east bound semi truck blew a tire and veered into
the logging truck. The force of the collision forced the
logging truck into the grassy shoulder, where it rolled over.

(29:00):
The truck drivers were transported to a nearby hospital with
life threatening injuries. The log truck driver, now identified as
thirty six year old Dwayne Sukert, later passed away from
his injuries. The truck driver that blew the tire had
not been identified, but is expected to survive. Since the accident,

(29:20):
Ellis Trucking, owner of the log truck, says that suekert
was one of their first employees was integral to their business.
Elis Trucking has also stated that the wreck did not
stem from any mechanical issues with their truck and that
the load was secured and permitted properly. No further information

(29:43):
was released on this horrific accident. And if you could
see it is he did flip over. There's a hood.
There's the hood right there, and then that's the truck
land on its side. He hit him so hard that

(30:05):
he went up the embankment and then he literally flipped
it and pieces parts went flying. And our condolences to
mister Sukertz family. And this is what I wanted to

(30:28):
talk about to begin with. Semi truck plows through twenty
vehicles that are slowed for traffic. On I ninety five
in Miami, tractor trailer plowed through twenty vehicles. This accident
happened August twenty eighth, about eleven thirty at night in
North Miami. According to the local news, the semi was

(30:49):
heading south on I ninety five. When it failed to
break and struck twenty vehicles that were slowed for traffic
eleven thirty at night. Twenty people were injured into the
chain reaction crash. Thirteen of those people were transported to
the hospital, including one person that was taken to the
trauma center. The accident forced officials to divert traffic onto

(31:15):
different road for clean up of the accident and fuel spill.
It was shut down for about three hours till six
in the morning. The truck driver in the incident will
face charges, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, and those
charges have not been released yet. So distracted driving, like

(31:37):
we all know, if you've been doing this for any
period of time, this is what happens. And ten people
are arrested for stealing over one hundred and eighty five
thousand gallons of diesel reselling it the fuel at trucking

(31:58):
yards for a dis count. Yeah, I had. Everybody needs
a little loop. Where am I here? And there we are.
I'll get it right yet, kids, So with this, there
we go. I'm out of the camera range so you

(32:20):
can see it disappears. Isn't it cool? It disappears, reappears.
Everybody needs a little KFC, but I'm not plugging it.
So ten people are arrested for stealing all this fuel.
A large scale diesel theft ring based in Florida was
dismantled following months of investigation, say the officers. On September fourth,

(32:43):
the local sheriff announced that ten people have been arrested
following an investigation dubbed Operation Van Diesel, Get It Vin
Diesel Van Diesel. Ha Hey that it wasn't me. I'm
I'm just reporting the news. I didn't make it. I
didn't didn't make that one up. The investigation was launched

(33:04):
back in March of twenty twenty five after official noticed
a trend of fuel thefts in Hillsboro County, Florida, the
investigation widening to include fuel thefts taking place in Orlando, Jacksonville,
and multiple other jurisdictions in Florida. Quote through investigative means,

(33:27):
how else would they do it? Detectives learned the suspects
used a modified Dodge at Chrysler minivans equipped with five
hundred gallon tanks, pumps, hidden compartments, and cut through floorboards
to siphon diesel fuel directly from underground gas station tanks

(33:50):
in minutes, they could steal hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel.
The stolen fuels then transported to trucking yards and resold
at a discounted eight Imagine that in total, the investigation

(34:13):
uncovered over three hundred and fifty places across multiple counties
that they did this, totaling more than one hundred and
eighty five thousand gallons of stolen diesel fuel worth and
estimated six hundred and fifty thousand dollars from retailers including Racetracks, Speedway,

(34:36):
and seven to eleven. As a part of Operation Van Diesel,
investigators secured one hundred and three search warrants, forty one subpoenas,
and eleven arrest warrants on the fifth of August. Operations
are executed by multiple law enforcement agencies at several locations,

(34:58):
resulting in nine risk and nineteen vehicles being seized. More
than thirty thousand gallons of diesel fuel were recovered, valued
at more than one hundred thousand dollars, but out of
one hundred and eighty five thousand gallons that they stoled,
they could only get back thirty thousand. Damn, that's one

(35:23):
hundred and fifty three one hundred and fifty five thousand
gallons they got away with.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Whew.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
A total of ten people were arrested in connection with
the diesel fuel thefts as of September fourth. These people
face RECO violations. And where in the news have we
heard about RICO before? Quote fuel thefts and this magnitude
puts drivers at risk? How does that put drivers at risk?
Undermines integrity of our fuel system and rob's businesses in

(35:54):
our communities? Well that's true, but how does it undermine
the integrity of our fuell You know, to those who
think organized crime could go un detected, let this case
be a reminder. We are watching, we are working together,
and we will hold you accountable. Not my words, there's
the investigation is ongoing, you know, bondy body bloody. But anyway, yeah,

(36:20):
you know, you can't can't even make a buck anymore,
you know it, trying to just make a dollar to
feed their kids and feed their family and put their
kids through college. And look what happens, you know, joking, joke,
it's a joke, trying to be funny. And that's an

(36:41):
Arizona d Ot guy crawler around on his back doing
an inspection during the safety blitz that happened the twenty
four through the twenty ninth or something like that of August.
They found two two two hundred and twenty nine violations

(37:02):
during that week via truck inspections. So the total number
of inspections that they conducted out this is just Arizona.
Total number inspections six hundred and twenty seven. So out
of six hundred and twenty seven trucks they checked, they
got over two thousand violations. Holy Mackerel driver out of service.

(37:25):
Out of that six hundred and twenty seven, one hundred
and fifty one drivers placed out of service, one hundred
and twenty three vehicles out of service, one hundred seventy
four vehicles placed out of service, one hundred and twenty
four has been inspections for fifty six motor coach bus

(37:46):
inspections were twenty two citations issued, forty six and duy
or rests in a commercial vehicle. Drunk driving in a
commercial vehicle one they you idiot, You just gotta drive
while you're drinking, or you're you know, you had some

(38:07):
the night before and you're still intoxicated, or you had
some in your truck or whatever, because when they search,
they just don't search the outside. You give them probable
cause they're searching the whole damn truck and they don't
give a rap. So now this is the story. Next

(38:27):
story I wanted to talk to you about with that
case in Florida, with that horrific accident that killed three.
Subpoenas have been issued for the trucking company in this
fatal you turn crash. So after this gentleman causes this crash, okay,

(38:50):
And he was also normally they run team, move this over.
They normally run team and very rarely you see him
runt and solo. Not only did he was going let's see, hey,
he's going down down Florida Turnpike. He's like, oh crap,

(39:15):
you know we missed the rest are whatever the whatever
the cause was. He tried to turn around in the
median and then this van full of people come flying
down the highway and pretty much t boned the semi. Okay,
well after that he went ahead and this this is

(39:37):
what he did. Okay, that's what happened. People. You see
how that van and that's an oldsamobile, looks like van.
That whole front end of that van is right, that's
a refrigerated trailer. That's a fuel tank right there where

(39:58):
they hit. There's there's the landing gear that comes down,
the peg legs that come down, and then right behind
that there's another diesel tank for the trailer. That's where
these people hit and hit him so hard, and the
guy's just looking back like, what you know, you dumb American.

(40:23):
I'm sure no, no, that's what he said. But normally
that's that's how it comes across, dumb American and killing
the three people inside. Okay, so this is the UH
Florida Attorney General James Uthemeyer. He held a news conference

(40:49):
in Hillsborough County, Florida, and according to the local news,
the White Hawk carriers out of Cyrus, California. Oh, before
I say that, and after this accident happened, this driver
parks the truck, hops up plane and flies back to California.

(41:11):
US marshals had to be called in to go to
California and haul his butt back to Florida so he
could then stay in trial. He had to get extradited
back to Florida so that he could stay in trial
because the chicken shit hauled asked to Florida because he
knew dang good and well, he may not be able

(41:33):
to speak English and he may be illegal, but he
knew damn good, and well, what the hell he did?
He knew damn Goodwell, he was standing outside of his truck.
He knew damn good and well, what the hell he did?
Killing three people? And he's chicken shit and his stand
up for the charges after what he is stupid maneuver
that he did and went back to freaking flew back

(41:55):
to California. What are you gonna do? Go back to
your home country so you wouldn't get proud secuted for
this crap, you know. So I'm glad they went after him.
I'm glad they're freaking caught him. But anyway, according to
the local news outlet, this White Hawk Carriers who employed
this guy, uh Sirrus California documented documentation issued will compel

(42:23):
the company to share business records, communications, and certifications related
to the licensing and employment of this guy. There's some peanine,
you know, documents is what they're doing. They gave us
a peinte documents. This Attorney general said in Florida, quote,
we don't just talk to talk. We're going to use

(42:44):
every tool, every legal tool at our disposal to fight
back and protect our citizens. He should never have received
that CDO license in the first place. Not only was
he illegally here in the country, but he also did
not have the competency the skills set to even operate
that semi There's no way he went through proper training

(43:06):
in order to even get the license, this guy said.
The Attorney General said, accountability is coming for these sanctuary
policies putting Floridians at risk, which is why I also
issued a criminal subpoena to the employer of the illegal
alien truck driver who killed three in Saint Lucia County
and sent the list of legal demands to Washington and California.

(43:29):
There we go. So they're going after him. And you know,
you've seen these sign spinners right on the street corners
for store closings, for Wendy's, all the fast food joints. Okay,
this sign spinner was standing on this street corner for

(43:52):
Little Caesars. You know, I'm sure I can't. I don't know,
you know, but I would think that got out of
bed that morning. Hey, I'm gonna make me some extra cash.
I'm gonna go ahead and go to work for Little Caesars.

(44:13):
And I'm gonna stand out there, you know, it's been
my little Caesar sign and get people come in this
kind of thing. He's dead. Semi truck lands on top
of him as he gets into a crash with a

(44:33):
propane truck head on. A man working as a sign
spinner passed away after a crash at a nearby intersection
that caused a semi to overturn and land on top
of him. Cannot make this stuff up. The accident happened
September fourth, around eleven thirty quarter to twelve in the

(44:56):
morning at the intersection of Williams in Henrico. This Happita, Virginia.
According to local news, this tractor trailer was hauling a
large concrete slab when it collided with a straight truck
hauling propane through the intersection. The collision caused the semi
to jackknife and flip over on its side, striking the

(45:18):
male prodestan who was on the sidewalk. As this crash
occurred to secondary crashes follow involving two other vehicles and
a third vehicle. An unintended motorcycles sustained damage from the
debris of the first crash, the man working as a
signce spidder was crushed beneath the semi and pronounced past

(45:39):
at the scene. Mail truck driver had to be extracated
from his rig and was transported to a nearby hospital
with life threatening injuries. Although not confirmed by police reports,
locals say that the man was a sign spinder for
nearby Little Caesar's Pizza. The locals are saying that it's
the guy that works for Little Caesars. Everybody who who

(46:00):
was in this area knows that he works for Little Caesars.
So very tragic, tragic way to pass when you're just
outside trying to make a buck. So now, as I
mentioned previously, if you're watching the show, you know that
I reported on several Massachusetts State Patrol officers that were

(46:26):
involved in a bribing scheme to hand out CDLs to
people that wouldn't necessarily pass well. The guy from the
water company that was handing out all the product now
has gotten sentenced to prison for bribing those troopers with
iced tea, Swedish fish candies, and by gallon truckloads of

(46:53):
water in exchange for passing CDLs. This week, a Boston
man was set to prison for conspiring with Massachusetts troopers
to provide bribes in exchange for falsified passing scores on
CDL test for certain applicants the applicants of the water company. Okay,

(47:15):
not all different kinds of applicants, just the one employees
of the water company that had to drive the trucks.
Eric Mathieson, forty eight, was sentenced to one year and
one day in prison, to be followed by three years
of supervised release in March of twenty twenty five. That,
like I just mentioned that I reported on, he pled

(47:35):
guilty to one counter conspiracy to commit extortion in January
of twenty twenty four. A year ago, he was part
of a seventy four count indictment along with former Massachusetts
State Patrol Sergeant Gary ced Cedter Quest fifty nine, another
former troopers who worked at the CDL unit. Matheson was

(47:57):
accused of conspiring with Setterest to obtain false passing scores
for certain CDL applicants who had failed or had taken
only partial CDL skills tests that exchange for bribes that
included beverages and snacks items. And then it goes on
to say pretty much what I summarized cedar Quest gave

(48:19):
falsing passing scores on CDO road skill tests to forty applicants.
Authorities say, so, that's that's a lot. That's forty people
that shouldn't be on the damn highway because they couldn't fit,
They couldn't drive, they couldn't drive. The more you know,
a semi but yet you know they have a CDL.
This is what I'm talking about. This is what goes on.

(48:41):
You know, don't think it doesn't because it does. Where
it could be English speaking or non English speaking, it
doesn't matter. It happens. And California Highway Patrol puts a
semi truck out of service for what. So let me

(49:01):
ask you, if you're watching this, what's wrong with this picture?
And I should black out, don't read the screen, but
look just looking at the picture, kind of put your
hand over the screen, over the wording what's wrong with
that picture? They were reminding truckers to do their pre

(49:24):
trip perspections after recently catching a big rig break violation
on September sixth, They took social media call out a
trucker for a break violation from the Highway Patrol. They said, well,

(49:44):
on patrol. One of our eagle eyed officers played a
little game of I Spy with my little eye. This
keen eyed officer spied what they believed to be a
commercial vehicle break violation. As luck would have it, they
were right. This is an extreme dangerous violation. Appropriate enforcement
actually was taken and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.

(50:07):
A big rig without all their breaks, which is not
eighteen there's only ten in working order, poses a great
danger to other motorists, not to mention its driver. Take
note of the bailing wire. You see the wire hanging down.
He's got bailing wire to wire it up. That broke

(50:33):
loose and was temporarily holding the break chamber in place.
Something tells us somebody knew this was a problem before
they left for their trip. How was your pre trip
so pre trip inspection. Make sure this kind of stuff
doesn't happen. Okay, and Ontario launches a ten year automated

(50:57):
commercial motor vehicle pilot program. This is coming, This is coming.
I like the old W nine's from Kenworth myself. Ontario
has launched an automated commercial motor vehicle pilot program set
to run for the next ten years. This program was

(51:21):
launched in early September and is expected to run through
August first of twenty thirty five. The program involves heavy
duty commercial vehicles outfitted with level three, four or five
automation and we'll run throughout Ontario, Canada. Beware if you
go to Canada. According to an information page put out

(51:45):
by Ontario government, the program is intended to evaluate the
performance of these automated vehicles, determine how to improve overall
road safety, and gain insight on the role automation will
have in Ontario's truck industry. Automated Commercial motor Vehicle Pilot
program will use two testing sectors, driver supervised with automation

(52:07):
and completely driver lists with an assistant supervising either remotely
or from elsewhere in the truck cab. That's this is
the kind of thing where in this country, our states
are going against this and bucking this that you need
to have a driver in the truck in the driver's

(52:30):
seat just in case something happens. Because remember the Uber
driver that was driving and looking down at his phone
or watching a movie that ran over a pedestrian because
the car was a self driving car but did not
recognize a pedesteran on a bicycle that happened ages ago,
but it still happens. To participate in this program, carriers

(52:52):
must meet at least one of the following safety stipulations.
Operator with a satisfactory audit on audited excuse me safety
rating for two years. Partner with another carrier with five
years of experience plus the same satisfactory unaudited rating excuse
me just a second, Operate with an excellent audited safety

(53:18):
rating for three years or more, or audit operated with
a satisfactory unaudited for at least five years. Carriers who
meet these requirements and wish to participate in the pilot
program must submit an application and obtain approval for Ontario's
Ministry of Transportation MTO. It's kind of like our US DOOT.

(53:40):
Carriers that are approved for the program will work with
MTO to develop a testing plan. These carriers will be
required to continuously meet stringent safety requirements related to overall
safety and driver qualifications, insurance coverage, and other standards. So

(54:03):
and our last story for this episode is a passing
oversized load knocks the wrecker into a tow truck driver
who was assisting a motorist tow truck driver assisting a
motoris was struck by his own wrecker after was hit
by a semi with an oversized load. This happened in

(54:23):
Houston on September eighth, on the East Loop. According to
local news, the tow truck driver was pulled over on
the side of the road assisting a motorist when a
semi truck hauling an oversized load passed it. As it
drove past, the large load noted into the park tow truck,
causing it to strike the tow truck driver. The driver

(54:46):
was seriously injured in the accident. No other injuries were reported,
and this incident was still under investigation at the time
that they wrote this article. So if you please would
