Americans are anxious, the Democrat Party is in disarray, the
president is missing after announcing he will not pursue his
second term, and we're moving into a bizarre election cycle
in which we are uncertain who exactly is running with
less than two months before early voting begins in many states,
the world is on the precipice of World War III.

There's been an assassination attempt against the Republican candidate and
former President Donald Trump. There has been murder, rumors, scandals,
an invasion at the southern border, inflation. These are tumultuous
times in our typically stable country, and everyone everyone is nervous.
There is no doubt a lot is at stake in

this election cycle, perhaps more than ever. The fear is palpable,
but good citizens don't live by fear. They live by truth.
There will be plenty of opportunities to wax poetic about
the politics of it all, who's good and who's bad,
how you should vote. But I want to take just
a moment together to slow down our breathing, calm down

our spirits, and reset our perspectives. Now is not the
time for fearful citizens, but for courageous and citizens. Now
is not the time for fear, but for the defenders
of peace to step up and lead. Whenever I feel
fearful about what's happening in culture and politics, I head
straight to the Word of God for my comfort and

for my advice. So let me leave you with the
best commentary you could possibly have on this situation. We're
in the Word of God, and let me remind you
no good decisions are ever made out of fear. This
is probably a big reason the Bible has so much
to say about fear and anxiety. Fool and calm heads

are needed. Let your heart be comforted in your spirit
find rest. Here are God's own words. Do not be
anxious about anything, but in every situation, pray, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God Philippians
four or five. Therefore, I tell you, do not worry

about your body what you will wear. Not life more
than food, and the body more than clothes. Look at
the birds of the air. Do they not sow or
