Kesha Ajose-Fisher, whose essays and stories have been published in several online and print collections, writes from her singular experiences. Born in Chicago, raised in Nigeria, Texas and California, Kesha makes her home in Portland, Oregon. She has worked as a counselor with disadvantaged youth and as an advocate for immigrants and refugees from Africa. Having seen varying degrees of struggles and triumphs, love, and pain in her life and theirs, Kesha brings these realities to life in the bitter suffering of her characters and their seemingly inescapable predicaments.

Her latest book "No God Like The Mother" has been selected as a finalist for the 2020 Oregon Book Awards
