Speaker 1 (00:28):
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you today.
We thank you for your spirit. We thank you for
your presence.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
We thank you for the love of God is our strength.
For the joy of the Lord is our strength.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
We thank you. Now.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Lord reacts as your word go out, that they do
not return under you war, but that it accomplishes that
for witches sin. And we ask now God, that you
would touch us in every way, and that you would
forgive us of all of our sins and all of
our shortcomings, and that you would bless us to continue.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
To walk up right before thee in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Holy Spirit and Jesus' name a man, go with me,
Go with me to Psalms eighty six. Psalms eighty six,
a prayer by David that asks for mercy on the
(01:26):
Lord most God. Would classify it as a psalm of
individual lamentation. David went to God in Psalms eighty six
because he knew that the Lord would be compassion to him.
He knew that God would honor his cry. He knew
that that was the only way give me Psalms eighty six.
(01:50):
He knew that was the only way that he could
receive what was needed. By talking to God. What he said,
hear me, Lord, and answer me if I'm poor, needy,
guard my life by I am faithful to you. Save
your servant who trust in you. You are my God.
(02:15):
Over in near my chapter eight, in verse ten, it says,
the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
The joy of the Lord is your strength.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I believe that when we are doing things or trying
to please God, that God is happy with us, and
that's where we get all of our spiritual strength from.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Many times we've seen people walk.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Away from church and walk away from God, and it's
like all of a sudden, the spirit of them affirmity
overtakes them and they become very sick under the doctor's.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Care and things like that.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
Now that I think about it, realizing it, evidently God
was no longer happy with them by walking away from him.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
So all the strength that was in us seemed to cease.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
That caused us to be false, sick, bewildered, to lose,
you know, because we no longer had the strength of
God supporting us. And in Psalms eighty six, it appears
the same way here with David, he appeared that he
(03:53):
didn't have the strength of God. And the topic of
the message today is the strength of God, the support
of God that we need to live by every day.
You have seen people wear support on their legs to
(04:15):
keep their legs straight. Then they have a uh support
socks to keep the muscles and support the strength and
circulation in your leg. Well, the same strength and our heart,
our minds, and our spirit comes from God. You see
(04:39):
when God is happy with you, and God see that
you are striving to be more like Him and that
you're seeking his face the best of your ability, he
gives you strength that.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
You never had before.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
But when you are no longer seeking him, it appears
that your strength failed you. There's a scripture, and I
can't call it by name, that says said, Lord, let not.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
My strength fail.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
When we allow our spiritual strength to grow weaken, our
physical strength become weakinged.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
And it appeared that David was weakened in this song.
I'm poor and needy.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I'm pouring mine I'm poor in spirit, I'm pouring my inspiration.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
I'm poor in my joy, I'm poor in my desire.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Help me, Oh, faithful God, because see, God is faithful
to us if we're faithful to him.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Our problem. We want God to just be the one.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Be faithful, but we don't wanna be faithful. We wanna
continue our way, but not accept His way. To become
a new creation in Christ, we all have to change
(06:27):
our attitudes, our dispositions.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
We have to change it.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yes, every time they seem you put one foot forward
the devil come by and make it appear you don't
put two feetback. But stand your ground cause I you know,
I'm a firm believer. He may not come when you
want him, but he's always on time. The wind may blow,
(06:55):
the storm may come, the troubles may be so strong,
but God steps in right on time.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
The strength of God is what we need in us.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
To withstand these ups and downs, these bumps and knocks.
We need to support of God. It's just like when
you get to a place, you get so sick that
you dining down nine one one because you don't have
the strength to get there, and you don't have anyone
(07:34):
to take you. And this is what it appears in
Psums eighty six that David was calling on God. You
are the God I'm in verse two and I at
verse three, have mercy on me, Lord, But I call
you all day long, bring joy to your serving Lord.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I put my trust in you. And you know when
they get there and.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Get you on that stretcher and get you in the
back of that car, you on your way, and you
feel assured that when you get that that they'll figure
out what's.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Going on with you. And you've got to come to
the place, says David.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Did hear he dowed Jesus, You Lord are a forgiving
and a good an abundance and love all who call
who call you.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Hear my prayer.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
He may not come when you on him, but he's
always on time. And David was confident that when he
called on the name of Jesus that his prayer was
going to be answered. And then he went on to say,
hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my crime for.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Mercy. When I am distressed, call you because you answers me.
I call you.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Because I know I'm gonna get an answer. I came
to Jesus as I was weary, warning, sad, But you
can find in him a resting place. So David believed
that when he called God that his problem was gonna
be worked out, his circumstances was gonna get better, the
situation was going to change. And you've got to have
(09:25):
that same belief that when you call on Jesus, he's
gonna answer prayer.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
The strength of the Lord. Can you say glory?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
So you believe that once you arrived that when they
figure out what's wrong with you, they're gonna tell you
and then they're gonna give you something for it.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Well, this is the same thing with Jesus.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
David said, among the gods, there is none like you, Lord,
there is none like God.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
So said came, nobody do me like Jesus. He's my friend.
I heard another son say, come on in the room.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Come on in the room. Jesus is your doctor. He
gives you all of your prescriptions. Come on in the room.
Thank you, Jesus. There's a time and a point that
the doctor tell you. I don't know what else to do.
There's a time and a point that the doctor would
(10:31):
tell you it's time to pray. But if we would
pray before this would happen, if we would stay close
to God, we could ward this all. I call it
preventive maintenance. What is preventive maintenance? Seeking the Lord while
he may be found, call him while he's near.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Call on Jesus and he will answer. Prayer.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Give God your hope, your strength, your joy, and everything else.
Can you say glory? Can you say glory?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Glory? Ye, our glory?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Give God your time, Give God some of your effort,
show that you love him and speak to him. Don't
wait till you get in dire straight, don't wait until
your back is just the wall. But if you continue
to seek his face, as I said, I call it
preventive maidenans. He will ward off all the sickness, he'll
(11:37):
ward off the devil. But you got to stay ahead
of it, and you got to lay up some timber
before God. Your prayers has got to be laid up.
So when the situation starts to come at you, Jesus
steps in and say, no, no, don't go near my child.
That's my child. I redeemed him. He belongs to me,
(12:01):
and he throws everything out of the way. He removed
the snare of the fowler that you don't get trapped
in a situation because your prayers are study going up.
Your light is still litting and it's lit up before God.
And the minute something would come in to dim your
lighte Jesus stops.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
It from dimming your Christian life.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
He said, walk in the light, the beautiful light somewhere
the dew drops some of mercy shine bright shine on
around me day and night.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Jesus, the light of the world. Can you say glory?
So we've got to continue with the preventive maidenanceing the preventing.
This maidenance is on.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Your knees and in the world of God, hollering Loujah, glovery,
beat to God.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
It's just like your car.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
You need to go over your car every thirty days.
You need to check the water, check, the battery, check everything.
Keep the preventive maintenance going so that you're going down
the street and your card don't just quit on you
because you're doing preventive maintenance to keep it up.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Can you say glory? How led Loujah.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
And this is the same thing here don't wait till
you're down and barely can get up to call on
the name of Jesus. The strength of God will be
there for you if you keep on calling him, keep
on praying, keep on seeking him, keep on talking to him.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Say I call on the Lord, and he heard my crime.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
David went on to say, in verse eleven, teach me
your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness,
and give me an undivided heart that I may feel
your name. And then he said in verse twelve, I
will praise you, Lord, my God, with all of my heart.
(14:03):
I will glory find your name forever wonder for savior.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
You see, I.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Told you before, when the praises go up, the blessings
come down, you've got to stay before God. You've got
to keep the prayer life burning. You've got to keep
seeking him because he is your help and your strength.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
He is the only way. For the joy of the
Lord is my strength.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Can you say, Glory, Glory. He'll hide you in this pavilion.
When the storm comes to take you over. He won't
let it touch you. He won't let it bring you down.
You'll be going on and others be falling. You'll be
climbing high and the others be dropping down. Can you
(14:49):
say glory because you keep your preventive maiden this going.
You keep the strength of the Lord on you by
seeking his face. I don't care who hurt your feeling.
I don't care how hard it seemed. I don't care
if you feel like no one in that church like you.
I don't care how they criticize. You. Go home, in
(15:12):
and your secret closet and cry out to the Lord,
and get closer to God, and he will eve blah
blah blah blah, shut down, keep you with his strength.
The strength of God is what you need. Thank you, Jesus,
Thank you, Jesus, Thank you Jesus. You know how you
work hard sometime and your feet get tied in the
(15:35):
shoes you got on. But now you know how it
is when you go buy new pairt shoes and you
go back to work with that new past shoes on,
your feet feel new, Your feet feel lifted. And that's
the same thing when you get on your knees before God.
He'll lift your mind, he'll lift your soul, he'll lift
(15:57):
your spirit, he'll lift.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Your life life. Can you say glory, You'll leave home
singing songs the praise.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
You'll look at things different every day because every day
you took time out to call his name, and he
heard you you. He'll hear you when you call her.
We need the strength of God. We can no longer
go ahead our fleshy strength. We can go on in
(16:29):
our physical strength. We've got to have the strength of
God in order to stand in this day and time.
The world is changing so fast. The Newman lineum has
come out.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
They're things that.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
They understand that the old generation, the baby watchers don't
understand anymore.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
The generation of life is advancing.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
They're growing AI technology is growing everywhere, and if we
don't keep watch and catch a hold to it will
be lost in the shuffle. But if you get the
strength of God in your mind and in your spirit,
he will help you to understand the advancements of this world.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Can you say glory here?
Speaker 2 (17:14):
So many people are saying that Jesus is coming now,
and you've got to catch on to the advancements of
the world. Don't say he's coming. Because the world is
growing and advancing. That doesn't mean that Jesus is coming
right this minute. It just means that the world is
being elevated, and you've got to be elevated within it
(17:37):
in order to maintain your.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Roots in society.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Can you say glory? Can you say glory? We need,
we need the strength of God. Without his strength, you
not going to make it without his love. You're not
gonna stand without his joy, and you won't make it.
(18:04):
But if you hold on, if you hold on a
little while longer, it may not be in the next
few minutes, it may not be in the next hour.
But I guarantee you he's coming by your house and
he's gonna touch you wherever you need to be touching,
and he will give you the.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Strength of God that you never had before.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Somebody says, Lord, strengthen me, Lord, give me strength, Lord
help me.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
I learned to pray.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Lord, give me the strength I need to do what
I need today to accomplish the gold that I have
for today. Give me the strength of this day. You know,
they usually say, give me my daily bread, give me
my strength today to make it through the day, because
(18:59):
what doubt the help of God.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Sometime you don't make it through the day.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
You flop out before the day is gone, You give
up before the day is over.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
But with the support of God. Eat all of us
shut down. Eat no, no, no, no shinw You ever
met somebody and they tell you can a barn dollar.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
And you be wondering in yourself why they only barn
a dollar? Well, they only needed a dollar to get
them through to the next day. Cloth beat to God
and you're saying, well, I could have lend them more
than that, but that's not what they needed. They only
needed that one dollar to get them through to the
(19:49):
next day when they got paid.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
So here's the whole thing about it.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
You need God to give you strength for this day,
because when you get on to the next day, God.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Is strengthen you again.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
But you just want what you need for today. And
that's what we need to understand. He said, live each
day like it's your last day. You see, we try
to live for the future. We're trying to live for tomorrow.
And tomorrow is not promised to me and you. So
(20:25):
we must work while it's today. We must call on
Jesus today. Don't postpone it and put it off and say, well,
I'll do it tomorrow. We don't know what tomorrow ho
and yesterday is dead and gone. You can't go back
to yesterday. You ever did something yesterday and then you
(20:47):
try to do it again today and you couldn't do it.
You see, that's just the way life is. How Let
Louis glovery be to God. So we need the strength
of God every day. That's why we pray always. That's
why we never cease from praying. Without that preventive METHANX,
(21:08):
we will get trapped by the devil. We will be
sifted by the devil. But if you keep your prayer
life burning, Yeah, God will keep you going. God will
keep you strong. God will keep you standing. God will
hold you up.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
He will be all the support that you need. There's
nothing like him. There is nothing like him. Say yes,
say your Lord.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Can you say glory, Hallelujah, thank you Jesus. Since Jesus
came into my heart, since Jesus touch my mind, since
Jesus touch my spirit, I found there's nothing sweeter than him.
There's nothing better than him. Can nobody do you like him?
(22:03):
Keep your prayer eye burning. Let the joy of the
Lord be your strength. Let Jesus be happy with you
if long as you come before him, and as long
as you believe he said. If you're not and the
door shall open. He said, if you seek him, you're
(22:23):
going to find him. He's not lost, but you gotta
seek him.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Here.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Glory, flory, high letting, Lujah, Thank you, Jesus, Thank you, Jesus.
He said, if you believe on me, as the stripture said,
out of your belly to flow a river of living water,
his word will flow out of your spirit, and his
(22:49):
word will direct your path. His word will keep you safe.
His word will keep you where a mind stayed on him.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
We need.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
The strength of God. Say glory, say Lord, give me
your strength. Lord, give me your understanding. Lord, give me
your wisdom. Lord, Help me to walk your walk. Lord,
help me to talk your talk. Help me to walk
(23:28):
in the light the beautiful life. Thank you, Jesus, Thank you, Jesus.
You see, there is no sadness in God. You ought
to be happy, to be one in the number. You
are to be jumping for joy that God counted you
as one of his children. You ought to be jumping
(23:48):
backflips just to know that he chose you. You didn't
choose him, but he looked through the telescope of time
and he chose you. Before you were sent to your
mother's wound because God has a plan for your life.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
God has a plan for you.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
You may get thrown off here and there, but along
the way God will get your back on.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
The right path.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Lord, give me your strength. Thank you Jesus, Thank you, Jesus,
Thank you Jesus.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
The joy of the Lord is your strength. Yes, YEA,
get happy about it.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Don't be walking around like even eat none ripe in
percentmons or you just had a sour living in your mouth.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
But be happy. Blah blah blah. Be happy.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
You know that song that you say. Just be happy
that Jesus loves you. Be happy that Jesus cares about you.
Be happy to know you one in that number. Yeh.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Don't let the enemy.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Steal your joy, put you in sadness, bring your mind
into darkness. Well all you think about is negative things,
not a positive bone in your body. But let the
devil back up off of you and tell him I
got the strength of God, the joy the Lord is
(25:22):
my strength.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
And I'm gonna stand on his word and I'm gonna
fight the good fight. It may not be what.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Someone else think it should be, but as long as
I can call him, and if you go through all
the books of songs. There is nowhere that David didn't
call on Jesus. Even when David was in war. You
remember the Maulberry Tree. David when asked God, shall I
go up? Shall I go in the battle? And Jesus
(25:54):
said to David, when you hear the wind in the
Maulberry tree, then you go on up. But I'm gonna
go before you, and You're not gonna have to fight.
I'm just gonna send you up there so you can
see how I demonstrated my power, so you can see
how I defeated your enemy. Just listen to what he said,
(26:18):
because he sought the Lord even before he went in
the battle, and God took the battle over.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
You need to seek the Lord before you walk out
your front door.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Seek the Lord before you start your call up, Seek
the Lord before you.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Lay down at night.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Yeah, how glory you need and I need the strength
of the Lord. The strength of the Lord. The joy
of the Lord is my strength. Thank you, Jesus, Thank you, Jesus.
You're talking about a god that will never fail, well,
(27:00):
that would never leave you you like come. He will
hold you up through the trials. He'll keep you on
the right path. David seven in eighty six, teach.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Me how to walk. Come in your father. If we
would stop trying.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
To do things on our own and let the Lord
lead us everywhere we go, let the Lord lead us
and everything that we do, let Jesus get in the
mix with you.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Hey, it's just like.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
When we would go home to eat them and Mama
doesn't prepare the good meal.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
And when we got through, ain't that meal we saved
the mama? It look back.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
You put your finger in this because it was so good.
So what are you saying, Revend. Let Jesus get in
the mix with you. Let Jesus get all in your business.
Let Jesus get all in your mind. Let Jesus work
it all out for you, and it'll come out sweet.
(28:09):
It'll come out smelling like a rose. You'll come out
as pill of gold. But as long as you trying
to do it without the help of God, it's gonna
end up in a mess every time. But if you
lay it on the altar and say, Lord, here it is,
give me the strength of God. Yay, Yay, glory, beat
(28:33):
the God. How Edlujah, Thank you Jesus, thank you, Jesus,
Thank you Jesus. Because you are special in God's eyes.
In God's eyes, you are somebody. In God's eyes, you are.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
His precious pearl.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
You remember how he spoke about his vineyard, how he
took Israel as his vineyard. Well you are his vineyard.
Now you are one of his ambassadors. You are one
that he loves so much that he died on the
cross for you. But he got up, He got up,
(29:14):
and he went on and sat down on the right
hand side of the Father, and he crossed his leg
and he looked at the list, and your name is
on the list. And I don't care what's going on.
He's gonna work it out for you. He's gonna work
it out for you. That problem that you got, Jesus
(29:36):
is gonna solve and he's going to fix it.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Stay with God and he'll stay with you.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
