Friends and family of Alejandro Mireles, a 7-year-old Burnet school district student who recently passed away, are holding a celebration of life and fundraiser to help pay for medical expenses. It's noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Tow Community Center. Damon Beierle told KBEY listeners about the event.

you got good? Thank you.So usually you're here to tell us about
some big concerts coming up or someevent that's happening in the county. This
is kind of something that's near anddear to your heart that you can tell
us about today. Huh, yes, sir, yes, sir, thanks

a fundraiser for a young man fromBurnett, Alijandro. And Alijandro was in
in an accident at his home aboutthree weeks ago and he got burned over
ninety percent of his body and hewas in recovery and there's a medical fundraiser
plan for this Saturday. It's intow Texas, And so they had this
fundraiser planned and then quickly last Thursdayhe had a surgery and he gained his

angel wings. So the fundraiser isstill on the family is still in great
need of medical expenses, and sowanted to come on the air today and
tell folks if they could, youknow, to come to toub Texas on
Saturday. There's gonna be they're gonnaturn it into obviously it's a fundraiser,
but a celebration of his life.And they're encouraging everybody to wear were either

green or blue. And Alejandro andmy son Talon were in class together and
they were friends. And Alejandro wasjust always smiling, always happy, just
a great just a great a greatkid, obviously, and and so I
just want to do this to helpthe family out. There's a lot of
folks putting it on me, andMonica kind of came on at the end

here and said, hey, whatcan we do to help? You know,
So getting the word out is oneof them. So if you go
on Facebook, you can probably findthe fundraiser. I'll post it on my
page, but at least share that. I know it's last minute, but
it's gonna be in tow They're gonnahave barbecue from Tater Bubbs. Apparently that's
some really good barbecue. They'll havea silent auction. They're also gonna have
a live auction. They've got lotsof good stuff. They're gonna have a

cornhole tournament. It is Saturday,this Saturday, the eighteenth. It's gonna
be from noon to at the TaoCommunity Center. Okay, if you're sitting
around Saturday and you want to headout to Tow. It's a beautiful drive,
it is, and it's going tobe lovely weather to be out beside
the lake. It is, it'sgonna be nice. So if you can
run out there, and of courseevery bit of these donations, one hundred
percent is going to go to Alejandro'sfamily to help them pay these medical bills

and that way they can focus onthe things they need to focus on.
Okay, well, it's sweet ofyou to come in. I know that's
hard to especially for like talent,to lose a friend like that, and
you know, I mean just goingthrough some stuff in our family. It
is so hard to lose a sibly. It's tough. There's no words to
describe it. It's tough. Hislittle brother, his brother was burned as

well, not not as severely,and he's in recovery as well. So
the family's been going through a lotlately, to say the least. So
if you could make a donation,if you can't make it to Toe,
I'm pretty easy to find and sofind me on Facebook or anything called the
courthouse ask for me. The BurntCounty Courthouse. They know how to get

me. If you want to makea nation, we gladly accept it and
I will make sure it gets tothe family. So we'll make it nice
and easy to donate, even ifyou can't make it to Tao. Once
again, when where what why?Okay, when we know why, Alejandro's
medical bills and a celebration of life. We're going to celebrate this little boy.
He was a wonderful little kid.So so we are going to try
to, you know, celebrate hislife and the life that he did he

was able to have. And ofcourse we're rejoicing in the fact that he's
with Jesus right now. Yeah,and his parents, his parents will rejoice
in every face that shows up outthere. Will It'll just make them absolutely
it's going to be great. SoTao, Texas this Saturday noon to five,

want to come out and join thecornhole tournament, you can, Okay,
I don't know how sign ups aregoing to work, but show up and
you can sign up. I promiseyou'll have some fun playing cornhole and then
