Speaker 1 (00:00):
Music on Man has two more weekends and the music
continues this evening Old Oak Square and downtown Marble Fall
is going to be Jesse Stratton taking the stage. It's
free live music. He'll be hitting the stage here in
just a few minutes. He goes five until eight o'clock
this evening. And so let's talk to Jesse. Jesse, how's
it going going well?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Man? Having a good day?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
How about you doing all right? Man? Doing all right?
So where are you from?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I grew up in Blanco and I currently live in Wimbrie.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Okay, And so what can we expect from you this evening?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I'll play a lot of original music that's inspired by
the Hill Country, and then we play some cover songs
and you know Americana Texas country artists as well as
some a little bit of classic rock.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
All right, So do you have a band out there?
Is it a duo? Who do you got out there today? Jesse?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
It's gonna be a trio today. It'll be my drummer Alex,
my lead guitarist Tony, and myself.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
And you've been out here before right for music on Main.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, we played many times.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
We always love it awesome. It's a great venue in
it with the old oak tree right there, and it's
always a good vibe.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yeah, it doesn't get much better really, and you know
it's not.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
The weather's not going to be bad, I know will
probably eighty six eighty seven degrees, but as the night
goes along, it's going to get cooler and sitting under
that tree going to be a great night of live music. So, Jesse,
what made you get into music?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh? Well, I just always loved music. When I was
a little kid, I used to get out my parents
pots and pans and play the drums on them, and
then started playing saxophone at Blanco's school when I was
in sixth grade.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Wow, well you bust out? Do you ever bust out
the saxophone during a live show? Yep?

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I still play it on every show.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Oh do you really? Wow? That's pretty cool. Then awesome.
So and you said do you write your own music?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Then yeah, we have a lot of original stuff. We
have a few albums out. We're always working on more
original songs and then always writing stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah, that's awesome. Jesse. Do you have a Facebook page
or anything we can go check out Jesse Stratt.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, We're on Facebook and Instagram. Under Jesse Stratton Band
and all of our music is on Spotify and Apple
Music as well.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
So good out to Main Street Old Oak Square in
downtown marble Falls for some free live music. Jesse is
about to take the stage this evening. He's out there
from five until eight. Jesse, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (02:20):

tonight
