Speaker 3 (00:10):
Yes, sure, yes, sure, plenty of events. You do.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Lots of events around you do, like car shows, and
you do help with downtown on the market days and
stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Don't you get around a little bit little you do?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Yeah? Yeah, it's cool.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
And you had had I know last time I saw you,
I guess was at Fiesta Jim.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
How did that end up?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Going? Was great? Was it? We had a good year
this year. It's a cool songwriters event.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
It is.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
You got to be into that to enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I guess, Yeah, Yeah, it's really that was really neat.
We went.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
We went one evening and it was it was it
was a lovely evening and that was a great, uh,
great place to have it.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
It was inside. It's the sound is good at Lakeside Pavilion, So.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
It is the park shows a great venue there. Lacey
and her crew take care of that venue very well.
And uh we're stoked to be there.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yeah. And you still if you if you look over
to the left while you're watching the stage. You still
got that river out there. That's just gorgeous. So very
but you're here today to talk about music on Maine.
Last weekend, huh?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
This is last week for this season. Yes, and then
we'll pick it back up in the spring.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
And the spring good.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Okay, so you're already planning that, already lining up bands,
already doing all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Uh, yep, Mitch's behind the scenes working pretty hard on
books bands.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
For busy Good.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well, how has it been over the over the set,
because y'all started in what May Well we did.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
We did do a spring series. We took the summer off.
It's just way too hot here.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I think it's brilliant.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
And then we picked back up and did a fall
serious we've been doing it for the last couple of months. Yeah,
it's been super cool, very packed. You got to get
there early to really get a table.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
That's great.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So it's been very successful. The community has really supported it.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
That's good. So this is the last weekend for this season.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
It started last night and we'll keep going till well
tonight and tomorrow night too. So who you got coming
in this week.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Thursday is local favorite John Arthur Martinez, which should be packed.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
And then Friday is a super cool band from Austin
called The Full Tones.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
The Full Tone sir, Okay, that's cool. What do they do.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
It's an eclectic type band from Austin that has several members.
I think it's a five or maybe a five piece.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Now you mentioned Mitch Mitch McManus, who is the Old
Oak Square and uh he he seems to have an
eye for booking kind of cool band.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
So he does, and he and he spends a lot
of time and energy going and researching bands and going
and watching bands. Yeah. He tries to pull different a
different vibe here and bring bands out you wouldn't normally
see in Marble Falls.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I mean you'll get a country band through here every
now and then you'll get John Arthur through here. But
you also get I'm trying to remember the name, it's
a it's a girl, it's a led by.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
A girl, Jennifer or something. I think, really cool band.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah. And then he has the local favorites like W
the w Walton Yeah, Debbie, uh huh, everybody you know.
All the music there is super cool, so it is
cool something for everyone.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
So it's your chance.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Now, what what can we expect if we go to
music on Maine's what's the evening like?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Well, it's it's an outdoor courtyard. There's a couple of
restaurants and a winery and adult beverages if that's what
you prefer. But there's also food and it's just a
good vibe. There's tables everywhere. It's outdoors, a huge oak tree.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
That's the thing.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Downtown Marble Falls, which is very vibrant rain. It's just
a good a good hangout spot, and it's become kind
of a local favorite.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Okay, well that's good. And it starts at five o'clock
in the afternoon.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
It's five to eight pm Thursday Friday. And actually, unfortunately
this Saturday we're gonna probably have to cancel because there
we're blessed with a rainstorm.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I hope we can do it that.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah, the last time I look, that's the biggest chance
of rain is on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
So at least we're canceling for a good reason.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, that's right, a good reason and ahead of time
so people don't make plans. So good tonight, John Arthur
Martinez and tomorrow night The Full Tones huh yes, sir,
all right, five to eight pm, Old Oak Square, downtown,
Marble Falls. It's a it's really a magical evening under
that big oak tree like you talk about in the lights,
and it's getting dark a little earlier so it gets fun.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
That's neat, Jay Brown. Thank you for all you do
in the community. We appreciate it, and thanks for coming
in and I look forward to seeing you here to
talk about what Christmas stuff coming up next.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I'm sure we'll be back for something. We appreciate it. Mac,
we appreciate abe.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Thank you, we appreciate it. Coming back anytime.
